0:06>> Welcome to the basic configuration of

0:07the CAME BKX brushless automation for

0:10sliding gates up to 1,200 kg.

0:14Upon initial startup, the automation

0:16system prompts you to run the system

0:18configuration wizard.

0:20If you're not familiar with this

0:21procedure, you can manually configure

0:23the system as explained below.

0:26Let's start by setting the display

0:28language to English. Press enter, select

0:31the language menu, and set it to your

0:32preferred language.

0:48The main menu items are configuration,

0:51user management, information, timer

0:53management, language, and password.

0:57The configuration menu contains all the

0:59automation configuration parameters,

1:01such as safety features and timing.

1:03In our case, we'll proceed with a basic

1:06configuration using the wizard.

Gate opening direction and system type

1:13The first parameter to configure is the

1:15opening direction. This allows you to

1:17set whether the gate opens to the right

1:19or left.

1:20In our case, it opens to the left.

1:23The system type parameter defines

1:25whether the gate has a single or double

1:27leaf.

1:28If it has a double leaf, two automations

1:31will be required.

1:33The BKX has a terminal block dedicated

Safety devices (photocells and safety edges)

1:35to wired safety devices with four input

1:37terminals for connecting photocells and

1:40clean or resistive contact safety edges.

1:44The wizard prompts us to set the first

1:46CX safety input, choosing between

1:48specific functions for photocells and

1:50safety edges in the event of obstacle

1:51detection.

1:53In our case, we will set the photocell

1:55pair to C1, i.e., gate reopening in the

1:58event of an obstacle detection during

2:00closing.

2:01Once the C X wire input is set, you move

2:04on to the next ones, psi, C Z, and C K.

2:10If the Rio wireless system is present,

2:12it will be possible to set wireless

2:14safety devices such as Rio safety edges

2:16and photocells.

2:18To program a transmitter, you need to

2:20install the AF radio card onto the

2:22control board.

Remote control/transmitter acquisition

2:24First, select the function to be

2:26associated with the transmitter button

2:28and confirm with enter to proceed with

2:29the acquisition of the button.

2:34Press the button to acquire.

2:40The display confirms that the button has

2:42been saved and displays the user number

2:44associated with that button.

2:46The procedure will wait for a new

2:48transmitter to be acquired. If no new

2:50button is received to be saved, the

2:52procedure will move on to the next step.

2:55Let's move on to calibrating the

2:57automation. Press enter to start the

2:59procedure.

3:01The calibration will make four

3:03movements, two slow and two at normal

Travel calibration

3:05speed.

3:07To set the automatic closing time,

3:09select the configuration menu, then

3:11select times, and finally select

3:13automatic closing.

3:14Set the number of seconds before closing

3:16and confirm with enter.

Automatic closing time, opening and closing speed

3:26To set the opening and closing speeds,

3:28select the configuration menu, then

3:30select travel setting, and finally

3:32select opening or closing speed.

3:34Set the gate speed as a percentage.

3:45To control the gate, you can use one or

3:46more of the five control inputs: stop,

3:49opening, partial opening, closing, and

3:52programmable command.

Control buttons

3:54In case of using input two and seven, it

3:56will be necessary to configure the type

3:58of command between step-by-step and

4:00sequential.

4:07All the configuration and much more can

4:08be done by a smartphone thanks to the

4:10Came A Key, the tool for easily

4:12configuring all your Came A automations

4:14from your phone.

4:16There are many other options and

4:17functions available in the manual, which

4:20we invite you to consult on the website

4:21docs.came.com.

4:23We hope this has been helpful, and thank

4:26you for choosing Came A for your

4:27automatic gate.
