0:00In 2023 , the Chinese built a massive
0:02solar power plant in the Gobi Desert
0:04with 27,000 panels . Since it’s a
0:06desert , there’s plenty of sun , but
0:08also a lot of sand , which settled on
0:10the panels and blocked the light . That
0:11was a big problem . The panels couldn't
0:13generate electricity . The Chinese
0:14thought about it and installed
0:16sprinklers . They watered the panels
0:17once a day . The water ran off the
0:18panels , and the panels themselves
0:20provided shade . And something
0:21completely unexpected happened . Grass
0:23started growing underneath them , and it
0:25grew so tall that it began blocking the
0:26panels . This was a major issue . These
0:28panels power nearly half a million
0:30homes . So the Chinese came up with
0:32another solution : release sheep there .
0:34It’s like a natural lawnmower . At the
0:36same time , the sheep are doing just
0:37great there . They always have shade and
0:38an endless supply of food . And most
0:40importantly , there isn't a single
0:41predator around . For the sheep , it’s
0:43absolute paradise . Because of these
0:44conditions , they felt too comfortable
0:46and began to multiply uncontrollably .
0:47The Chinese found a solution for this
0:49as well . They sell the extra sheep
0:51through an online store nationwide ,
0:53keeping only the number needed to mow
0:55the lawn .
