0:00Hello guys, I’ve prepared a very quick beginner guide for aion 2,

0:03I will mention many useful things that will make your life easier and

0:06I will explain some of the most important mecahnics of the game.

0:09Starting with our abilities. We have Active abilities , passive

0:13abilities and Stigma abilities. Stigma’s are all strong abilities

0:16But you can’t have them all equipped at the same time. And this is how you determine your build.

0:20For example as Templar If I am to play against a boss, I choose stigma’s that give me defensive

0:25power or taunt while when I am playing pvp I choose stigma’s for crowd control and damage.

0:30The basic abilites and passives can be leveled up from this page to up to 10 level.

0:36At level 8 Every active ability unlocks a passive slot that will alter it somehow.

0:42For example poach, is an ability that hooks an enemy towards me, and it can get a passive that it

0:47resets cooldown when the target is killed. Which means I am able to grab the next target instantly.

0:52So abilities not only getting more damage as you level them up, but also unlock new passives.

0:58At level 12 you unlock a second passive slot and finally at level 20 you unlock the third slot.

1:04But Like I’ve said from this menu you get only up to level 10.

1:08If you want to level an ability more there are 2 more ways to do so.

1:11The first one is from the daevanion. Every passive and active ability

1:16exists on each daevanion tree once. With blue Icons you see the Active abilities

1:21and with green icons the passive abilities. Like I said each tree has every ability only

1:27once so you can find poach 4 more times and you can make it reach level 14.

1:34And the last way to get ability levels is from your Gear.

1:37You equipment will give you some extra stats. The thing is that if you are

1:41lucky instead of having a regular stat an item can give you +1 level to one ability.

1:47At some point in the late game you can reroll these stats so you can

1:51actually search for the ability you want the most.

1:54iF you open the world map you’ll find only 3 different things that you should explore.

1:58The first one obviously are the feathers. You need to collect maybe 20% of the total feathers

2:03on the map, and you will deliver them to the Verteron Monolith. It has this icon,

2:07the main quest will get you there around level 17, make sure you’ll remember its location.

2:12Apart from Evertyhing else, each time you level it up , it will reward you

2:16with 1 Amulet enhancing Scroll. Your amulet and Belt in Aion 2 are

2:21both unique items that you will never replace. You will have them from the

2:25beginning of the game up until the end. You can only upgrade them. You will use

2:30these Amulet scrolls to level it up to lvl 10, and then you unequip it and you go to

2:36substance morph to craft the next rarity. From green it becomes blue and then gold.

2:41Something very similar is happening with your belt, but to get the belt upgrade material

2:46you’ll need to complete Strongholds. If you open your map you will see

2:50Question marks here and there. Question marks near a camp will

2:54always be Strongholds. They are very easy encounters and like I’ve said they will

2:58give you the upgrade material for your belt. Naturally you want to complete all of them.

3:03And lastly the rest of the question marks on your map will be Sealed Dungeons.

3:08Very easy and short dungeons that will reward you with the currency you’ll need to upgrade your

3:12Deavanion passive tree plus regular skill points. So again, if you want to reach your maximum power,

3:18you will have to complete all of them. Before I move on to the next section,

3:22know that once you have unlocked the rifts, you will be able to travel to the enemy Area,

3:26and you will have to clear Strongholds and Sealed dungeons there as well. The

3:31rewards from there will be even better So again you want to clear all of them.

3:34Now let’s talk a little bit about upgrades. WE have the simple upgrade where it gets and

3:39item to +1 +2 and it becomes stronger. I recommend to not using this up until you’ll reach max level.

3:44Getting to max level in aion 2 is very fast. Then we have manastones, if you check your

3:50items down here you will see that they have some additional passive slots, manastones will give you

3:55random stats for these slots, you gonna have to roll them again and again until you get the once

4:00you like. Again this is more a late game thing. Godstones are the big upgrades, they usually

4:04give aggressive buffs to your gear, and finally we have soul binding,

4:08the only thing I wanted to show you, down here there is a reset button,

4:14where you can reroll the current stats of an item. You want to reroll them until you’ll find +1 level

4:21on the ability of your liking. This will be one of them most grindy things in the game.

4:22Next let me show you where you’ll find your daily and side missions.

4:26Press J or go to your journal, and press right here on regional quests.

4:30Regional quests are the side quests of the game, you want to actually do all of them because they

4:35will reward you with daevanian crystals, the points you need to upgrade your passive

4:39tree. So it makes sense if you want to complete everything as you are leveling up. Even thought

4:44personally I will go max level first and then I will go back for side quests and collectables.

4:49on the next tab you’ll see Duty. On the left side you see Missions and those are

4:54your daily quests. If you have time for them the rewards all pretty good.

4:58On the right side it says Command. Commands are another form of daily

5:02missions. To pick up a command you’ll need to buy it from a specific npc

5:06in a form of Scroll. Activating the scroll will unlock a command mission.

5:11Again, very useful, they will give you abyss points.

5:13Now I want to clear out the picture about Dungeons and loot.

5:17After you finish a dungeon, you will spend Energy points in order to loot. The more

5:22bosses you killed the more loot you will take. Not only better chances for better

5:26loot but more items as well. So since we will have limited amount of energy per day,

5:31we want to clear every single boss in a dungeon for maximum loot.

5:35You will see many people rushing to the final boss; you should make it clear from

5:39the beginning if you want to speedrun a dungeon or if you want maximum loot.

5:44Finally, a few settings that I totally recommend to adjust before start playing.

5:48Go to your settings, Combat and then controls, the first category.

5:52Persue Targets with Skill Activation, this will make your character walk,

5:56if he is out of range to reach the target. And bellow it, Auto Target Upon Skill use.

6:01This is extremely important Option, idk why it is off by default.

6:05Having this option on will allow you to jump from target to target when farming

6:09and you will never be without a target when you are in combat and there is chaos.

6:14On the next category Target Scanning, I like to set Search Direction to front

6:18of Camera. Usually where I look is where I want to attack or swap target.

6:23Target Scanning Detailed Settings, you get this to Priority ranking, and set

6:27Hostile Players First, Obviously to help you pvp

6:30Players Attacking me second And Targets already hit or aimed third.

6:35Npc and monsters attack me and then the rest can leave it as is.

6:40Finally on Auto use category is best if you set Buff auto use to

6:45In combat. Just so auto use Scrolls to activate only when you are fighting.

6:49On info Display there is a very important settings, go to Combat

6:54and change Display boss orientation to all. This will add a colored indicator bellow the

6:59boss that shows you where he is facing. This will help you avoid aoe frontal attacks and

7:04find his back to land your Backstab combos. On key settings , you can find Separate

7:09Defiance Hotykey. Defiance is your ability that removes stuns, but it is set to Space.

7:15And sometimes when you’ll smash it to get out of stun, you can end up jumping and

7:19getting your wings out and can be annoying. So this allows you to keybind it somewhere else.

7:27And that’s pretty much it for a first beginner guide.
