0:00Saul [music]

0:02and David, they told Saul that the

0:05kingdom was going to be taken away from

0:06him. And the next thing he [music] was

0:08begging for the kingdom, but when they

0:11came to David, he said, "Take not the

0:13Holy Ghost from me." He knew that his

0:16dependency and his essence was tied

0:18[music] to the Holy Ghost. If you take

0:20the Holy Ghost, the kingdom is nothing.

0:24The Holy Ghost was more important to him

0:25[music] than the kingdom of Israel. SO

0:27TO PLEASE THE FATHER became his

0:29heartbeat and that was the heart of

0:31David. [music]

0:33So until WE COME TO THAT POINT WHERE OUR

0:37HEART beats and [music] the heartbeat of

0:38God is the same then the heart of David

0:42is not really ours [music] because we

0:45are considering this man then we should

0:47take up the nature. For somebody here,

0:50you have strategies. You have plans. But

0:52can you say to the Lord, [music]

0:54"There's nothing I can do without you.

0:57Not my will, but your will. Not my plan,

1:00but yours. Not my strategy, but yours.

1:04Not my own opinion, [music] but your

1:06opinion.

3:20[singing and music]

3:22Come on.

3:25[music]

3:27[singing]

3:30Hallelujah. [music]

3:32Please be seated for a few minutes.

3:35So continue with the sound. Okay.

3:38instrumentals. Okay,

3:40we're considering the heart of David

3:43with focus on love dimensions.

3:47The heart of David with focus on love

3:49dimensions. So for the past two weeks,

3:51we've been studying on David, the heart

3:54of David. And the focus has been on

3:58sacrifices, [music]

3:59right? Focus has been on sacrifices.

4:03We live in a generation where a lot of

4:06people love to get involved with

4:09sacrifices.

4:11I perceive the Lord will have me speak

4:13certain words to certain people, but

4:15let's stay on the [music] word first.

4:16Okay, if time permits, we'll get into

4:19that. Praise the Lord.

4:21A lot of sacrifices.

4:24Fasting is a function of sacrifice being

4:27made to the Lord.

4:29When you give is sacrificial, [music]

4:31especially when it's from nothing.

4:35Hallelujah.

4:37At this point or juncture in Nigeria,

4:39coming to church is also a sacrifice.

4:43Some people pay bills, I mean to

4:45transport themselves here, thousands of

4:48naira. You know, there could be churches

4:50all around, but you decided to

4:52fellowship here. Sacrifice and that's

4:54the heart of David. So we saw that he

4:57did those sacrifices not because he was

5:00expecting a reward.

5:02Hallelujah. But because he was

5:04interested in the will of the father and

5:06that was a hard posture that David had.

5:09And we learned about that and we've been

5:11getting involved in sacrifices. I want

5:13to believe right. Hallelujah. But it's

5:16important also we consider that the

5:18heart of David was the heart of a man

5:20that was filled with love. And that is

5:23why we're looking at the love dimension.

5:25Now if you read Romans chapter 15 and

5:29verse4, Apostle Paul writing the church

5:32in Rome, he says, "For whatsoever

5:33[music] things that were written before

5:35time," he said, "they were written for

5:37our learning that we may through

5:40patience and comfort of the scriptures,

5:44we might have hope." Praise the Lord. So

5:47everything that was documented in the

5:50Bible, they were written for our

5:52learning.

5:54They were written such that we glean

5:57from their wisdom.

5:59Praise the Lord. I said this one time

6:02and I'm saying again today that wisdom,

6:05the way God gives us wisdom is that he

6:08gives us his word number one or he gives

6:10us people.

6:13No one is foolish on his own. The way to

6:16walk in foolishness is also tied to the

6:19association you keep and to the things

6:21that you pay attention to. as regards

6:23your hearing. Hallelujah. So, Apostle

6:27Paul then addressing the church in

6:28Galatia, what he say in Galatians 3 in

6:30verse one. Sorry, I'm very Bible I'm

6:32very doctrinal. So, you are fine with

6:34Bible, right? That's why you came to

6:36church, right?

6:37Amen. So, once I'm speaking above your

6:39head, wave your hands, okay? Is it fine?

6:43If I'm speaking too fast to raise just

6:46raise your hand, okay? Is it good? So,

6:49if you with me to this point, say amen.

6:51[music]

6:51Amen. Glory to God. So he says to them

6:54in Galatians 3:1, "Who has bewitched

6:56you? Oh ye foolish Galatians or oh

6:59foolish Galatians, who has bewitched

7:00you?" Right? Now he didn't say what he

7:04say who. Meaning that based on the

7:06instructions I've given to you, it is

7:09able to make you wise. Remember his

7:10council with themote how that he says

7:13through the pages of scripture they are

7:15able to impart you onto wisdom for

7:18salvation. Right?

7:20So he had already counseledled and

7:22thought built up this church in Galatia.

7:25However, they started giving their ears

7:27to other things and that's the thing

7:30with sounding mysterious.

7:33I was sharing in a meeting on Friday

7:35[music] how that many things that we say

7:38are actually nonsense.

7:41The cravings to sound deep outside of

7:44the written word is a craving to be

7:46lost.

7:48Hallelujah.

7:50Someone who has not learned on

7:52righteousness wants to learn on the

7:53constellation of the moon and stars.

7:58Hallelujah. You want to learn of how the

8:01sarafhic movements they are moving d or

8:04wait what is holiness? What's

8:06righteousness?

8:08And that's one thing about God's word

8:10impacts us with wisdom.

8:13The same word that saved you [music] is

8:14enough to grow you.

8:18Hallelujah.

8:20Peter writing in 1 Peter chapter 2, if

8:23you start from verse one, how that he

8:26was saying that lay aside. Okay, you're

8:29going to run. Okay, lay aside

8:32all filthiness,

8:34all malice, hypocrisies, guile, envys,

8:38and evil speaking. Okay. He goes further

8:41to verse two and he says, [music] "As

8:44newborn babes desire

8:47the sincere milk of the word that ye may

8:50grow thereby."

8:52So if you do not desire it, growth

8:55cannot happen.

8:57You must first desire growth and approve

9:00of desire is pursuit.

9:03Are you with me? So you cannot desire a

9:05thing and not pursue after it.

9:08Brothers, you cannot desire a sister and

9:10not pursue.

9:13Hallelujah.

9:15A lot of sisters have desired Brazilian

9:17hair and they've pursued after it. I

9:21will forever be chasing after you.

9:25Hallelujah.

9:27They've been going after it. SO IT SAYS

9:30DESIRE THE SINCERE MILK OF A WORD. SO IF

9:32YOU DESIRE IT, YOU WILL PURSUE AFTER IT.

9:36Praise God.

9:39I know that brothers will be in meetings

9:40and during worship is a sister that they

9:43you know

9:46the one I [singing] love is [music] ever

9:48before me. Meanwhile, she's in front of

9:50you truly.

9:52Hallelujah.

9:56It's you that I [music] see.

9:59It's you that I see.

10:03Praise [music] God.

10:05So in all your desire, pursue.

10:08So you don't just say, "I love the

10:10word." Pursue after it.

10:13Moses while he was about living had to

10:16instruct Joshua. Popular scripture

10:17Joshua 18. He says, "This book of the

10:20Lord shall not depart from thy mouth."

10:23The way it will not depart from your

10:24mouth is that your eyes will see it.

10:28Deuteronomy chapter 6 from verse 6, down

10:309, IT SAYS, "WRITE IT. MAKE IT PLAIN.

10:33LET IT BE ON THE BANGLES. LET IT BE ON

10:35THE IN THE DOPLES. LET IT BE EVERYWHERE.

10:38LET HIM SEE THESE THINGS.

10:41So if we must learn David and the state

10:43of his heart, we must learn his

10:44devotion.

10:46So in Psalms chapter one and from verse

10:48one, Bible says, "Blessed is the man

10:52that sit not in the seat of a scul or

10:55nor delight in the way of sinners."

10:56Right? But his delight is in the law of

10:58the Lord. For in it he meditate,

11:02right? Day and night. For he shall be

11:07okay, you see verse one.

11:10Like a tree, verse three,

11:14planted by the rivers of water that

11:17bringeth forth his fruit in his season,

11:19his leaf also shall not wither, and

11:20whatsoever he dwet, he shall what?

11:22Prosper.

11:24So David stayed there.

11:27You will see how that David was referred

11:28to as a man after God's heart. Why was

11:31it called a man after God's heart?

11:33Because he knew the will of God. And the

11:36will of God is not in the air, is in the

11:38word. It was um um Kenneet Ehagen who

11:42said that faith begins where the will of

11:44God is known.

11:46And where the will of God is known is

11:47written in the word. Hallelujah. And

11:50there are three major wheels of God.

11:53Number one is that man is saved. Number

11:55two is that the kingdom is populated.

11:57And number three is that man grows in

11:59stature.

12:02Praise the Lord. I hope that um we would

12:06get time to focus on that. But we need

12:08to concentrate on the heart of David.

12:10The heart of David was a heart of love.

12:13So the things that were written

12:15according to Romans 15:4, they were

12:17written for our examples.

12:19They are written for our learning.

12:222 Timothy 3:16, Apostle Paul writing in

12:24Timothy, he says, "All scripture,

12:28they are written

12:30UH BY THE INSPIRATION OF THE ALMIGHTY."

12:34So the Holy Ghost inspired the writings.

12:362 Peter 1:18, 19, 20, 21, 22. Let's stay

12:41on 20:21. You will see how the Bible

12:43helps us see that holy men spoke as they

12:46were moved. So they didn't speak because

12:49they felt like speaking. They spoke

12:51because they were moved to speak. So

12:53every documentation in scripture is

12:56inspired by the Holy Ghost.

12:59Even the mentioning of the harlots in

13:01scripture.

13:03Amen.

13:05Yeah.

13:07Uhhuh. They married multiple wives in

13:10the Old Testament. Doesn't it mean that

13:11God permits us to marry? No. Their

13:14mistakes were written so that you will

13:16learn

13:18not so that you replicate it. And that

13:21is why we do not see God best until we

13:23see him through the lens of Christ.

13:26So whatever Jesus did not validate is

13:29not permitted to be a doctrine.

13:32Praise the Lord.

13:34And you see quickly how that we build

13:36doctrines. I think I've shared this one

13:37or two places. How that we build

13:39doctrines. Doctrines are built majorly

13:41about five or six focal points. Number

13:43one, um, you must check out if it is

13:46written in the Torah, [music] right?

13:49That's the first five books, right?

13:53Genesis, what reference was it there?

13:55Um, was it was made there? Okay, check

13:57out for it.

13:59Was, for instance, let's use love as a

14:02litmos test. Was it mentioned in

14:04Genesis? Was it mentioned in Leviticus,

14:06um, Deuteronomy, Exodus? Was it there?

14:10Then the second place that you need to

14:13check when you're testing for [music]

14:14validity of doctrine is to check in the

14:17book of the prophets. Check the

14:19prophets. Okay? So when you check the

14:22prophets, you check the psalms number

14:23three. Okay? You check the four gospels.

14:27Hallelujah. You check the epistles.

14:31Amen.

14:33How many is that now?

14:37Praise God. Before we form doctrine,

14:40holiness

14:44check all through it stands right

14:48check all through love it stands. So we

14:51don't just come say h I think I think I

14:53think and that's the only way you cannot

14:56become a victim of edatitus

15:00you don't eat titus

15:03was titus is sinning

15:07so the visions people are having we

15:09place it side by side with scripture

15:12so scripture becomes the final authority

15:15praise [music] God so he says the things

15:17were written for our examples say for my

15:20examples

15:21for my learning. [music]

15:23My life is made better

15:26by the authority of the word. So stay

15:29with me.

15:32So in case you're writing, write this.

15:36Scriptures was written to be spoken

15:38[music] and it was spoken to be written.

15:44So if these men wrote as they were

15:47inspired of the Holy Ghost, [music] it

15:49means that they heard before they wrote.

15:51Right? So it was spoken and then written

15:54and it was written to be spoken. Right?

15:57So each thing each time you look through

16:00scriptures and you study, it is to the

16:02end that you are empowered to speak the

16:05same. Are we together? So David was a

16:09man of the word because he was a man

16:11after God's heart. God's heart is

16:13written codified in letters. So if you

16:16do not have access to the written word,

16:18you might not have access to his heart.

16:20The heartbeat, the heartbeat of God is

16:23made very visible by the written word.

16:28What's the heartbeat of God? Souls.

16:30What's God doing on not building

16:32buildings?

16:33Sorry, he's not building cathedrals. God

16:35is winning souls.

16:38This is going to sound a little

16:39controversial, but that's the truth. God

16:42is not taking seven mountains of

16:44influence

16:45because Jesus did not emphasize that.

16:48If you must take the seven mountains of

16:50influence, it's to the end that you are

16:52propagating the gospel. Amen. [music]

16:55So if you want agriculture, you want

16:56tech, you want all those, good. It

16:59shouldn't be because, oh, I'm going to

17:00take it because that's what Jesus died

17:02for. No, no, he didn't die for that. He

17:03died for souls. Amen. [music] Is it

17:06fine? Awesome.

17:09Now, David had to pray in Psalms 119 and

17:13verse 18.

17:15David [music] says, "Open my eyes that I

17:18may behold wondrous things out of thy

17:21law." Praise the Lord. Open my eyes that

17:25I may behold.

17:27Not just look at anything, not just see

17:29anything, but I may behold wondrous

17:32things out of thy Lord. Jeremiah had to

17:34say in Jeremiah 15:16 [music] that what

17:36I did eat and it became meat and

17:38rejoicing of my soul. [music] So there

17:40are things in the word David sought

17:43after. Men of old have sought after and

17:45we also should seek after. Praise the

17:48Lord. Again we are talking about love

17:51dimensions as a [music] subtopic of the

17:55heart of David. Praise the Lord. Quickly

17:58let's read together Psalms 19 verse

18:017-14. We're going to read together

18:04Psalms 19

18:06verse 7-14.

18:10Is it? Are we ready? Let's try and read

18:13together. One to go. The law of the Lord

18:16is perfect, converting the soul. The

18:20testimony of the Lord is sure, making

18:24let's stay there. So he says the law of

18:27the Lord is perfect. means that

18:30it's flawless, right? And next thing

18:33he's doing is that he's converting the

18:34soul.

18:36Okay?

18:37And next thing he does

18:40is that he makes wise the simple. By

18:43simple here it means the foolish. Okay?

18:45So he makes them wise. God's word is

18:47able to impart [music] wisdom.

18:51I use King James version. I grew up

18:53reading old King James. though.

18:58All my memorizations are old king James.

19:01I'm sorry.

19:04Amen.

19:06Next verse, verse 8. [music] It says,

19:09"The statues of the Lord are right,

19:12rejoicing the heart. The commandment of

19:16the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

19:20The fear of the Lord is what? clean,

19:23enduring.

19:26The judgments of the Lord are true

19:28[music] and righteous alltogether.

19:31More to be desired are they than gold.

19:36Yay.

19:39Sweeter also.

19:42Let's stay here. Now, sometimes you can

19:45raise songs and say that I wouldn't

19:48trade you for it is [music] good. I

19:50won't trade you for riches unto you are.

19:53You are my everything. You are You are

19:56my everything. Sometimes when we sing it

19:57is because we have not really seen

19:59riches untold.

20:04You know what riches untold is

20:09you are [music] the reason I live. If it

20:13was pastor Lawrence who was sharing with

20:15us, you will know the heartbeat.

20:18Your heart knows what you respond to. So

20:20we can say it you looking at 100,000

20:24I wouldn't trade you.

20:26I mean when that money comes in where

20:30they're just telling you just sign this

20:32your share is just $100 million.

20:39I mean an alert you receive and you

20:41cannot sleep.

20:43Not because you are sick

20:46but because your heart is already

20:47finding are you they just say sign just

20:50sign.

20:52It's easy to play church and stand and

20:54say [music] I love you forever. It's

20:57because our love has not really been

20:59tested. [music]

21:02Love is not butterflies in your belly.

21:07[music]

21:08The butterfly will develop into

21:10something else. And you know the

21:12lifespan of butterfly is short.

21:18[music]

21:20Hallelujah.

21:25It is Christ in me, [music] the hope of

21:28glory.

21:29So the sign of love is not that heart

21:31that is bumping [music] on WhatsApp. It

21:34is the cross.

21:37Hallelujah. So we must come to see this

21:40love will be tested. David's love was

21:43tested. [music]

21:46See

21:48the way we respond to things

21:51when pressure comes is a true reflection

21:54of the state of our heart.

21:56He said I [music] didn't know what came

21:58over me. I just saw that I slapped her.

22:01It has been hungering you if there's a

22:03word like that to slap her. [music]

22:05He said just got out of hand.

22:09Hallelujah.

22:11I cannot slap my wife. I cannot. But you

22:13slapped her. I didn't mean it.

22:18We know you meant it.

22:21Hallelujah.

22:23Get a bottle of Coke. [music]

22:25Shake it. Shake it. Shake it. Shake it.

22:27Shake it.

22:28Then open it up. [music] What will come

22:30out? Water.

22:32The same thing there. Same thing. Some

22:36people have been waiting to curse the

22:37nation. They've been waiting to curse

22:39the [music] president.

22:41And so he just needs to implement one

22:43policy that is not favorable. [music]

22:45And the next thing the floodgates.

22:49I said it. THAT MAN IS AH it has always

22:52been there.

22:55If you drive in a bad you will learn how

22:57to

23:01the the bikemen [music and singing] they

23:03they will teach you a lot.

23:07Your love will be tested. [music] And

23:09hear me this is not a prophecy. This

23:11week your love will be tested.

23:14[laughter]

23:17It's not a prophecy. This week your love

23:19will be tested. [music]

23:21Whether you say amen or not you will see

23:22it.

23:25For those of us who grew up with

23:26siblings, [music] you know, you have you

23:29have a younger brother who you've

23:32arranged that tr you want to wear.

23:35He just visits you and the next thing he

23:37ransacks your wardrobe.

23:40That one that you have kept, he now sees

23:43that is bigger than him. [music] He now

23:44slim fits it.

23:49That's the one he loves. And the next

23:51scene is coming before you and say how

23:53does it look like

23:56[music]

24:00for our age. Yeah. That

24:03[music]

24:04you know I know some of us grew up in

24:07homes where your dad your mom was

24:09telling you that you are loving you are

24:11amazing. You're the next person that

24:12happened to them. When me I was growing,

24:15the way my dad and [music] mom perceives

24:18that we should understand love is that

24:20they paying our school fees. I love you

24:23and pay your school fees. I am I am I'm

24:26doing that.

24:29And my own father told me I love you

24:30before.

24:33[music]

24:34Maybe he would.

24:36Hallelujah. Uh it was in 2004 I heard I

24:39love you for the first time. I ran away.

24:43Yes, it was strange. How would you hear

24:45that? I I say you're lying, Joe. This

24:48guy know I beg. [music]

24:50I ran out of the library.

24:53Yes, that was SS1 or SS24. I ran away.

24:56It's not possible.

24:58Ah, which kind of love? I beg.

25:01In fact, the way we tell our siblings

25:03that they are looking well is that ah

25:05[music] you look like human being today.

25:08That's me telling my sister that she's

25:10looking beautiful. Ah Omar join

25:13eh

25:15that's a guy you are beautiful you are

25:17handsome

25:19see your head well the clothes is fine

25:22sh

25:25and so when people are now liking their

25:26post on [music] Instagram they are now

25:28that's my brother

25:30we can farms from afab we don't do that

25:33I think I shared once how that my sister

25:35had traveled and um I think then was um

25:39she she went to Malaysia for a few days

25:41[music] and when she returned obviously

25:42I'd missed that they were you know and

25:44so she came to church she came to look

25:46for me here and I [music] think I was

25:47attending some people so when I got down

25:49the ushers told me that ah your sister

25:51came look for [music] you so I just went

25:52to look for her and she saw me she was

25:54almost coming like you know I know we

25:56don't do that here like

25:58how far I missed you too

26:01what kind of hug I know handshake too

26:04okay

26:06but these things we learn [music] and

26:08the things we are handing over to our

26:09next generation to our children are a

26:12better version of the things that we

26:14experienced. [music] Not the same. Not

26:16the same. We are gleaning on their

26:18wisdom. So [music] David was a man who

26:21longed after the heart of the Lord.

26:23Okay? So when he was comparing the law

26:26and the judgment of God to find gold, it

26:29was because his heart had seen gold.

26:33It was literal. [music] He didn't write.

26:37He said, "Uh, no, no, no." He had been

26:39tempted, [music]

26:40tested. He knew what he was saying.

26:43Praise God. Side by side. I know we

26:47[music] have a lot of unsincere people

26:48or insincess, sorry, insincere people in

26:50the church where we [music] say a lot of

26:52things that are different from the

26:54things we do. I know. But I'm saying

26:56that we should consider the heart of

26:57David based on this scripture. He said

26:59more to desire.

27:02God was talking about the Lord the

27:03judgment that is the Bible the the word

27:07than gold.

27:09[music] He went further to say yay than

27:12much fine gold in case that gold is not

27:14fine.

27:17He now say sweeter

27:19than honey

27:21and a honeycomb. [music] Praise God.

27:24Next verse.

27:27[music]

27:29Let's read together please. One to go.

27:31[music]

27:32Moreover, by them is thy servant,

27:36and in keeping of them

27:39[music]

27:39the same law. Continue. Next verse,

27:42we're going to verse 14. Who can

27:44understand his errors? [music] Cleanse

27:46thou me from secret faults. Next verse.

27:50Keep back thy servant also from

27:52presumptuous sins, [music] lest let them

27:55not have dominion over me. Then shall I

27:58be upright, and I shall be what?

28:00[music]

28:01from

28:02next verse. Let's read together. One to

28:06go.

28:07Uh-huh. [music]

28:09Meditation on my heart. Be acceptable in

28:12thy sight. Oh Lord, my strength and my

28:15[music] redeemer. Hallelujah.

28:18Once there's a sync between what we say

28:21and the posture of our heart, [music]

28:23then we will make advancement.

28:27A lot of times we are saying a lot of

28:28things that different from a posture of

28:30our heart

28:32and David was not that man but he knew

28:35that it was natural for the human mind

28:38to think [music] differently from you

28:41know and say something different for

28:43what he's thinking and so he had to pray

28:46that let the words of my mouth and the

28:49meditation of my heart

28:51let it be acceptable in thy sight. It

28:54was a prayer and I think it's a good

28:57prayer to still pray.

28:59Hallelujah.

29:01Sometimes we have met people who we know

29:03that these ones have intentionally hurt

29:06us and yet you have to say to them,

29:09"Guy, [music] I love you. I celebrate

29:11you." In your heart, you are not

29:13celebrating them.

29:15Your heart is different from what you're

29:17saying. Such a one needs to really ask

29:20the Lord. Especially in our generation

29:21where we are healing everybody. Chama.

29:24Ah my boss I celebrate you. Meanwhile in

29:27your heart of heart I say see.

29:30Hallelujah.

29:32But that was not David. The heart of

29:34David was such that he understood his

29:36fities and he trusted the Lord to help

29:38him.

29:40I hope that you will not be too big to

29:42ask the Lord to help us.

29:45Hallelujah. [music]

29:47So a man can say that he loves the Lord,

29:53but until he spends time with the word

29:55of the Lord,

29:57his words are not true.

30:05God's word is his romantic peace to the

30:07[music] believer

30:10because he is a groom and we are his

30:12bride, right?

30:15So every documentation in the word is to

30:17the end that we are presented to him

30:20without what spot or wrinkle. Right?

30:22[music] You could see Ephesians 5:25-27

30:25how that Bible Apostle Paul talking to

30:27the church in Ephesus. Husbands love

30:29your wife even as Christ loved the

30:30church and gave himself for it that he

30:33may sanctify and cleanse it. Okay. With

30:36the washing of water by the word that he

30:38might present it to himself. All right.

30:40a glorious church having no spot or

30:43wrinkle, okay? Or any such thing that it

30:47should be holy and without blemish.

30:49Praise the Lord.

30:52So, David lived a life that was worth

30:54emulating. So, when you glean through

30:57scriptures, you see that the life of

30:58David was one that we need to learn.

31:00Yes, you've learned about his

31:01sacrifices. You must also learn about

31:03his heart, which is the heart of of

31:05love. Praise the Lord.

31:08So quickly let's let me let's let's run

31:11let me see 1st Samuel 18 because of our

31:14time 1st Samuel 18

31:171st Samuel chapter 18

31:21let me skip some things and verse one

31:25and it came to pass when he had made an

31:28end of speaking [music] unto Saul that

31:30the soul of Jonathan was what okay was

31:34neat with the soul of David and Jonathan

31:37loved him as his own soul.

31:40Now Jonathan loved David.

31:43Now you understand what had happened

31:44there. David had just defeated Goliath,

31:48right? And now this guy seen by

31:52Jonathan, Jonathan just saw him and

31:54said, "Ah, no, no, no, no. I love this

31:55guy."

31:57Brotherly love.

32:00I mean, the love that Jonathan had for

32:02David was such that Jonathan could die

32:04in the state of David.

32:07Jonathan was such a guy that he could

32:10boldly defend David anywhere.

32:14[snorts] At a point it was said that you

32:17know the father of Jonathan that is

32:19Saul, King Saul said to him, don't you

32:21know that this guy is going to be the

32:23next king.

32:25It's like saying that he's using your

32:26glory

32:28and yet you love the one using your

32:29glory.

32:33Do you understand what I'm saying? that

32:35what is meant to be yours. The one who

32:37would end the dynasty,

32:40who would end the the track record of

32:43leadership or kingship or whatever it

32:45is, royalty

32:47is the one you are saying that you love

32:48like your soul. He would inherit all

32:51that is meant to be yours and you say

32:53you are fine with it. That was the kind

32:56of love that Jonathan had for David.

32:59Before then, we didn't see if David had

33:02that kind of love towards others. But I

33:04could glean on that and say that

33:06Jonathan Jonathan's love for David made

33:09David's heart

33:11to come into a posture of love towards

33:14other men

33:17because before then

33:19if you read about his sacrifices yes you

33:21will see how that he had love for

33:23animals and all the likes right you

33:25could defend them and his heart was such

33:26that he could defend sacrifice himself

33:28towards that but now this was a human

33:30coming loving him as himself off.

33:35Now, few verses after this, the women

33:39started [music] singing that David

33:42defeated 10,000,

33:46Saul defeated 1,000. That's from around

33:49verse 7. [music] Now, conflict is always

33:54built or ignited or stirred up by words.

33:59By words. Now the true test of

34:01conviction.

34:03Convictions are tested on four

34:04platforms. Number one, time tests

34:07conviction. Number two,

34:11the devil tests conviction. Number

34:14three, God himself tests conviction. And

34:18number four, conflict tests [music]

34:19convictions. Right? Conflict.

34:23He say, "I love you, Lord. I will not

34:26leave you." And that is why when for

34:28instance if those of us who have

34:30finished from universities and all the

34:32likes you will see that the fact that

34:33you're a fellowship president does not

34:34mean that you will still serve the lord

34:36after

34:37after time just you just see that ah you

34:39need to pay bills oh I said ah no no no

34:42lord you know I love you but [music] we

34:45need to chase the bag you always be here

34:48let me chase the

34:50you will see praise the lord so time

34:54will go past and certain people will

34:55have lost

34:57Praise the Lord.

34:59Okay. So these women started singing

35:00those songs and the next thing that

35:02happened in the next verse verse 8 Bible

35:06says and Saul was rough right that is he

35:10was angry and the saying displeased him

35:12and he said they have ascribed unto

35:14David what

35:17to me they have ascribed but

35:21praise the Lord. So he heard them. So he

35:24was angry. Go to the next verse.

35:28And Saul eyed David from that day

35:31forward. This is King James. The truth

35:34is that he gave him bombastic side

35:35[music] eye

35:37that you heard. It's fine that you want

35:41to even take my son's possession. But

35:42like me and you now, they're now singing

35:46your praise in my presence.

35:48Hallelujah. Move on

35:51the next verse.

35:54Bible says and the very next day in fact

35:57a tormenting spirit from God. Hold on.

36:00Does God have a tormenting spirit?

36:04So you understand what this guy is

36:06saying. The absence of God's spirit is

36:08[music] room for the enemy to manifest.

36:11Right? So because at the point the

36:14spirit of the Lord was not upon him

36:17because strife was already in his heart.

36:20Okay? Competition was already there.

36:23self was already there. So it gave room

36:28for an evil spirit to operate. So it's

36:30not like God has evil spirits somewhere.

36:32So when you misview evil spirit, it's

36:34your time. So evil spirit, you have done

36:37enough. We come out. Oh yeah. No, God

36:39doesn't have it. So once there's no

36:42light, there will be darkness.

36:45[music] Amen. So the evil spirit came

36:48upon Saul and he prophesied in the midst

36:51of the house. Next thing that happened

36:54was that David played with his hand and

36:56as at all the times and there was a

36:57javelin in whose hands?

37:01And the next thing Saul did was he threw

37:02the javelin at him?

37:04Have you gone to the next verse? Yeah.

37:06It says, "And Saul cast the javelin, for

37:09he said, I will smite David even to the

37:11wall with it. And David avoided out of

37:14his presence how many times?

37:16He tried using the javelin [music] about

37:19two times.

37:21Now you know that this person does not

37:23just hate you in their heart. physically

37:28they have showed you that auger

37:32it's like someone you visited and person

37:34say I love you that when you open and

37:36the person forgot to tell you that he

37:37has a rod trailer and a American pit boo

37:41and then you just open the gate once you

37:43open the gate lock it there's no gate

37:45man there I open it for you so you just

37:46open bar and next you lock it and the

37:48next thing these two guys are waiting

37:49for you

37:52I like to use an example of a dog

37:54because I remember the time when some

37:56Nepal guys came when it [music] was NEPA

37:58not BHT okay then and they came to the

38:01house to cut light and I told them that

38:02we had already paid they said no we have

38:04not paid and the way [music] the wire is

38:06if you cut it the wire will drop into

38:08the compound and you know they like to

38:10pack wire so I release the dog I said we

38:14have paid they say I'm not paid I said

38:16climb

38:20so the dog was barking from this end to

38:22that end from this end to that [music]

38:24end the barking everywhere barking

38:26Backing, backing, backing, backing,

38:28backing. So they couldn't cut it because

38:31if they cut it, they won't be able to

38:32pack it.

38:35Hallelujah.

38:37A lady once was going to, you know,

38:41grind pepper

38:43and looked, peeped, saw our dog, said,

38:47"Tiger, tiger, tiger."

38:49I told the [music] dog, "Hold on."

38:52She finished. No, God has forgiven me.

38:58So finished grinding the pepper. She was

38:59coming back and she came again. Tiger,

39:02tiger, tiger. And I said to him, catch

39:05her.

39:08That was my heart. I've changed.

39:13And he went after her

39:16and [music] she held on

39:19to the pepe.

39:22But it got to a point it was between her

39:24life and the peppe.

39:26So she threw the peppe.

39:30The dog returned home after the peppe

39:32came down. So immedately my dad

39:34returned. Then I said dad this happened

39:36today in case some people come to

39:40this is what I did. This guy he was say

39:43tiger tiger tiger. And I

39:46I knew he was going to defend me. So he

39:48was also waiting for them to come but

39:50they didn't come.

39:54And that's the natural state of heart of

39:56a man. Selfish

39:59[music] you know in fact I make bold to

40:02say that that is one reason why selfie

40:03was developed

40:06to help harness [music] the selfish

40:08nature in man because each time you

40:11point a camera at yourself you are the

40:13focus of attraction. You discover that

40:15your head is bigger than everybody's

40:16head because it's selfie.

40:20But the death on the cross was not a

40:22selfie. It was a group photograph. All

40:25of us we featured inside.

40:28Hallelujah. All of us were there. They

40:32didn't cut some people's head. He said,

40:33"We didn't see this." No, no. We were

40:34there. So when he died, we died. When he

40:37resurrected, we resurrected. Praise the

40:40Lord. So this guy had javelin thrown at

40:43him about twice. And yet he kept on

40:46going to serve the Lord. So, one thing

40:49happened. Let's jump to the next verse

40:53[music]

40:54or let's go to verse 14. Go to verse 14

40:57because of our time. Go to verse 14.

40:59Bible says, [music] "And David behaved

41:01himself wisely in all his ways and the

41:04Lord was with him." Meaning that he had

41:07reasons to lose his mind. He had reasons

41:10to misbehave. But guess what? He still

41:14behaved wisely. [music]

41:16So the reason why a person will say that

41:19I started smoking because my parents

41:21abandoned me they did this is not

41:23because of those situation it was

41:26because [music] they lost themselves.

41:29David never lost consciousness of who he

41:31was his

41:32[music]

41:33identity. Are we together? He had a

41:36choice. It was enough reason for him to

41:38hate Saul. It was enough reason for him

41:40to say that no let me go and stay in the

41:42bush. If it is lion I'm contending

41:44against I know I'm contending against

41:45lion but this one you now say you love

41:46me you brought me to royalty and yet you

41:48are even attacking me you want to kill

41:50me thank God I escaped for my life

41:53praise the lord but these things were

41:55required they were important for the

41:57journey of becoming a king

42:00you see the greatest expression of a

42:03believer's maturity is his love work

42:07if you truly are maturing it will show

42:09in your love work

42:11in your love work. If your love work is

42:14still questionable, then truly

42:18your maturity is questionable.

42:21And that is the thing about this love

42:24work. We are all growing in it daily.

42:27Daily.

42:28Hallelujah.

42:30Praise the Lord.

42:33So a war because of our time a war had

42:36broken up or broken [music]

42:38you know broken out and Saul was

42:42involved. He went with Jonathan.

42:45Let's jump to

42:482 Samuel

42:51chapter 1. We're going to stay on this

42:54for a bit. 2 Samuel chapter 1. We'll

42:58read from verse one.

43:00Now it came to pass after the death of

43:02Saul

43:04when David was returned from a slaughter

43:05of the Amalikites and David had abode

43:08two [music] days in Zigglac. Next verse

43:11it even came to pass on the third day

43:14that behold a man came out of a camp

43:17from Saul with his clo

43:20and [music] the earth upon his head. And

43:23so it was when he came to David that he

43:26fell to the earth and did obesence. Now

43:29hold on. Bible says [music] he came out

43:32from the camp. It didn't mean that he

43:35belonged to that camp, right? Thank you

43:38sir. Now he came out and he rent his

43:42clothes. So you would naturally say that

43:44he was mourning right? Come on now talk

43:46to me. You you say he was mourning right

43:49now that oh there's a loss. So we are

43:51mourning. So he tore his clothes and he

43:53came out. Even puts debt on his head.

43:56You say ah this guy is sympathizing with

43:58us. [music]

43:59Right. But move on. Next verse.

44:03He says, "David asked him, where have

44:05you come from?" He says, "I've escaped

44:07from the Israelite camp." The man

44:09replied. Just follow this story. Next

44:12verse.

44:14And David said unto him, "How went the

44:17matter?" I prayed thee. Tell me. And he

44:19answered that the people have fled from

44:21the battle and many of the people also

44:24are fallen and dead and Saul and

44:26Jonathan his son are dead also. The way

44:29I'm saying it is I'm because I'm reading

44:31it. Go back. Let me actually say it

44:34possibly the way he said it. Ah hey the

44:38fight that broke out there is even God

44:40that saved me.

44:42Even Jonathan and Saul they are dead.

44:46say, "Wo, is God saved me? The only

44:49thing I came out with is my life."

44:52Next verse. Because if you hear that

44:54narrative or story, you start beating

44:56this guy. Uh-uh. Sorry. Thank God you're

44:58even alive, right? Not even knowing that

45:01he's the one.

45:04Move on. And David said unto the young

45:06man that told him, "How do you know

45:10that Saul is the eye that

45:16Go back to the previous verse.

45:20Thank you.

45:23King James version.

45:26That's what

45:28I love.

45:32Are you led?

45:34Okay.

45:36And he answered,

45:39next verse, please. Verse 5.

45:43And David said unto the young man that

45:45[music] told him, "How knowest thou that

45:46Saul and Jeratan his son be dead?" Next

45:48verse.

45:50And the young man that told him said,

45:53"As I happened by chance, you would see

45:55whether it's chance

45:58upon Mount Gilboa,

46:00behold Saul leaned upon his pair,

46:06and lo, the chariots and the horsemen

46:09followed hard after him." Next verse.

46:13And when he looked behind him, he saw

46:16me.

46:17Someone who is in war.

46:21And he called unto me and I answered,

46:23"Here am I."

46:26You see the story. Now you think that is

46:29one of them.

46:31With this, if you have read to this

46:32point, you will believe he's one of

46:33them, right? But look at what happened.

46:35And he said UNTO ME, "WHO ART THOU?" AND

46:38I ANSWERED HIM, "I am

46:41the people that we are fighting against.

46:44So [music] your position now called you

46:46to come.

46:49I don't know if you are on you are

46:51following and you too you now you just

46:53ah I am your enemy and he felt

46:55comfortable with you. Next verse and he

46:57said unto me again stand I pray thee

47:01upon me and slay me.

47:04Simply put he begged me to kill him for

47:07anguish is come upon me because my life

47:10is yet whole in me. Next verse. So I

47:14stood upon him and slew him. See the way

47:16he said it. Because I was sure that he

47:20could not leave. Could he leave Jo? So I

47:24just finished the work. After that he

47:26was falling and I took the crown

47:29from upon his head and the bracelet that

47:32was on his arm and I have brought them

47:35hither unto my Lord

47:37is the audacity for me.

47:40So he brought it to David so that David

47:42you know you have been anointed king now

47:44and this one has been standing on your

47:45way. You know we can even raise it as a

47:47prayer point. Every man who has been

47:48standing upon my rightful position. Oh

47:50yeah. What are you waiting for? Die.

47:52DIE. RIGHT. BECAUSE THAT SHOULD BE HIS

47:54PRAYER POINT.

47:56And now they are presenting to you what

47:57you have been praying for.

48:00Next verse.

48:03And David took hold on his clothes and

48:05[music] rent them. So he was not even

48:07excited at

48:09are we together. So the fact that he got

48:12it was not it. It was a process of

48:13getting it.

48:16The heart posture we must have if it is

48:19going to break hearts for us to arrive

48:21at it. That is not what God will plan

48:23for us to have.

48:26If we have to BRUISE HEADS, A LOT OF

48:29BLOOD SHED JUST FOR US TO HAVE THAT

48:31WHICH was rightfully ours.

48:34And you can understand what happened to

48:37Jacob and Esau. IT WAS PROPHESIED AHEAD

48:40OF TIME that Jacob will rule over. But

48:44Jacob had to put in flesh

48:47to help.

48:49And after he even got the blessing from

48:51his father, he still wrestled with an

48:53angel and he was telling the angel to

48:54bless him. If you were blessed by your

48:57father, which blessing again are you

48:58asking for?

49:01He said, "I will not let you go unless

49:03you bless me." But your father has

49:04blessed you. And that is when you come

49:06to see how that truly it is the blessing

49:08of the Lord that maketh a man rich and

49:11he has no atom of sorrow added to it.

49:14Jacob then stood before Pharaoh and

49:17Pharaoh asked him how old he was and he

49:19had to addund

49:22and something hard years. King James

49:24added hard to it. He had toiled all his

49:27life. He was carrying the blessing. But

49:30yet he was suffering

49:33because the process was not well done.

49:37Each time we break God's [music]

49:38process. Each time we break God's

49:40process, we elongate our journey each

49:43time.

49:45So the heart of David here was that he

49:49didn't want this to come to him

49:51leadership to come to him based on the

49:53hurt of another.

49:55If you read 1st Samuel 24, you will see

49:58how that David tore a piece of the clo

50:01of Saul

50:03and his heart broke.

50:06Ah, so other men were like, "Ah, God has

50:10given you." I mean, the guys who were

50:11the mighty men, God has given you said,

50:13"No, how dare me touch the anointed of

50:15the Lord." That was his heart. Now the

50:19push of that heart in 1st Samuel 24

50:22imparted on please go back to 2 Sam I'm

50:25sorry chapter one imparted upon the

50:29heart of these guys who walked with him

50:32because after David rent his clothes THE

50:34NEXT THING THAT happened was that these

50:36people also rent their clothes. [music]

50:38Watch 2 Samuel 1. Are you there?

50:44Next verse.

50:47See, then David took hold of his clothes

50:49and rented them. Likewise,

50:53all the men that were with him. SO, IT

50:55WAS NOT JUST SOMETHING THAT DAVID DID.

50:58THE HEART OF DAVID HAD been imparted on

51:00them.

51:02No competition here.

51:05Our generation has a problem where we

51:08begin to compete with people we should

51:10be learning from.

51:14Competing with people we should be

51:15collaborating with.

51:17That was not David.

51:19The people who had walked with him had

51:21come to take a glean from his heart. But

51:24that's not where we are going to.

51:27This verse says, "And they mourned and

51:28wept and fasted until even for Saul and

51:32for who? His son. And for the people of

51:36the Lord and for THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL."

51:38ARE YOU SEEING THE HEART? Because they

51:41were fallen by the sword.

51:44Next verse.

51:46But it looked like David just took a

51:48break from the suru. Now ask this young

51:51man that brought the news

51:55where is thou and he answered I am the

51:58son of a stranger

52:01an amalikite

52:03you even

52:06he even said you're a stranger.

52:09David then said unto him,

52:11"HOW WAS THOU NOT AFRAID

52:14TO STRETCH FORTH THY HAND to destroy the

52:18Lord's anointed? Me that have been

52:20anointed, I can say that after all, it's

52:22anointed against anointed." I be man of

52:25God against man of God. But you, you've

52:29not even SMELLED MINISTRY AND YOU ARE

52:32DRAGGING MEN OF GOD ONLINE.

52:36YOU'RE NOT EVEN A WORKER.

52:39[music]

52:39YOU HAVE NOT PASTORED.

52:43Every friend that has come into your

52:45life, they have all left. YOU ARE

52:47STANDING ALONE AND YOU ARE BOLDLY

52:49DRAWING AND DRAGGING MEN. And that's how

52:52those men of God are. That's how they

52:54are. And next thing we chat you up, what

52:56church do you attend? What do you do in

52:58your church? Said, no, I just like to

53:00stay low.

53:02I'm just there in the church. I don't

53:04like to be noticed. YOU ARE NOT SERVING

53:06IN ANY CAPACITY, NO RESPONSIBILITY

53:09TAKEN,

53:12then you have no right to talk. He asked

53:15him, who are you? He [music] said is I'm

53:18a son of a stranger, an Amalachite. I

53:21says, what gave you the boldness

53:24that you now think that you can now

53:27touch the Lord's anointed? [music]

53:29Next verse.

53:32And David called one of the young men

53:34and said, "Go near and fall upon him."

53:38Simply put, go near him and kill him.

53:41And he smoked him and he died. That

53:43mouth, that's the last news. The one he

53:46thought he brought good news, but good

53:47news became the head of his life.

53:52And David said unto him, "Thy blood be

53:55upon thy head [music] and for thy mouth,

54:00[music]

54:01it has testified against thee, saying, I

54:05have seen the anointed." So most things

54:07that stand against people are the word

54:10spoken.

54:14He didn't not even because he killed the

54:17anointed, but [snorts] because he could

54:19speak.

54:21And you hear the words of Jesus saying

54:24that the sin is even greater in the

54:26heart than it is in action. That if you

54:28look at a woman lustfully, you have

54:29committed immorality with her in your

54:32heart. The devil did not have to. It was

54:35in his heart that I [music] will ASCEND

54:37AND BE. GOD JUDGED HIS HEART FIRST AND

54:41EACH TIME we come before the Lord, the

54:42Lord first judges our heart. The summary

54:45and the totality of a man's life is

54:46first the posture of his heart

54:49as a man thinkketh in his heart. So he

54:51is so the words you would say is out of

54:54the abundance of your heart. Maybe he

54:56was thinking that the next he will give

54:57him a ministerial position for bringing

54:59the crown. After all you slew my enemy.

55:02No that was not the heart of David.

55:06Move to the next verse.

55:09David then made a very very profound

55:11statement when he was lamenting. Next

55:13verse

55:15he says.

55:18Next verse ma'am.

55:22Next verse turn not

55:25is said good. He says the beauty of

55:27Israel is slain upon the high places.

55:31How are the mighty fallen?

55:34Next verse

55:36he now goes further to say tell it not

55:38in Gats.

55:40publish it not in the streets of

55:42Ashcelon,

55:43LEST THE DAUGHTERS OF THE PHILISTINES

55:46will rejoice. SO THERE ARE CERTAIN

55:48THINGS THAT WILL HAPPEN IN THIS FAMILY

55:51BECAUSE LOVE IS AT THE CORE OF OUR

55:52HEART.

55:54It will also end in our heart. It does

55:57not go outside of our heart. It doesn't

56:00need to be heard by another because the

56:02same offense in my heart will be

56:04multiplied when it is heard by another.

56:06Are we together? So David says, "Let's

56:09[music] kill it. Let's make sure it's

56:11not published. Let's make sure nobody's

56:13testifying of it." And that was why he

56:15killed that guy. You can't talk about

56:17it. That he the Lord's anointed died

56:21anyhow. [music]

56:22The Lord's anointed.

56:25Yes, he had every right to say that he

56:27was against me. He was doing this

56:30against me. But again, the Lord had his

56:34hand upon him.

56:36Praise [music] the Lord.

56:38He said, "Lest the daughters of the

56:39Philistines rejoice, [music] lest the

56:42daughters of the uncircumcised

56:44triumph."

56:47There are things that happen in the body

56:48of Christ

56:50and you see the way people talk about

56:52it, you will know that the love for the

56:53body is not there.

56:57And this morning if we are learning

56:58about the heart of David, we must learn

57:01about the love dimension that David had

57:04in which [music] when he saw his

57:05enemies,

57:07people who were not enemies in in

57:09secret, enemies publicly, he still loved

57:12them. And that is why I say a lot of

57:14times that love is for our nature before

57:17it is our culture. [music]

57:20Love is not something we first give.

57:22Love is for something we are, we became,

57:26[music]

57:28we can give because we have. Every

57:32demand God makes upon a man is a demand

57:35of his investment upon such a man. God

57:38has invested love in our heart. So when

57:40he demands for it is not above our

57:43capacity to deliver.

57:46Hallelujah. And God wants you to love.

57:51Jesus speaking to his disciples, he

57:53says, "By this shall all men know that

57:55ye are my disciples if ye love one

57:57another."

57:59Hallelujah. If you love one another,

58:03Matthew chapter 5, if you read

58:05downwards, you see how that Jesus was

58:08saying to them, how that they should

58:10love not just as the way the world

58:12loves. Where is your reward if you love

58:14the way they love? So we ought to take

58:17our love ahead above the love expressed

58:21[music] by this world.

58:24Love is not a now is a doing word.

58:27Love is not understood until it is

58:29expressed.

58:31Love gives. AND THAT WAS THE HEART of

58:34David. David gave. David did not just

58:38give his substance. He gave himself.

58:41Apostle Paul did the same. While I was

58:44studying, I came across a woman who,

58:49you know, likened to one of the god's

58:50generals, um, I think, um, Mark Fen. Am

58:53I correct? Media, I think you guys have

58:55the [music] name. She developed a bow

58:58leg

58:59for constantly going to preach the

59:01gospel. [music] She was always riding on

59:03a horse. So after a while, she developed

59:05ble. She was not born like that. Some of

59:09us want to maintain our figure eight. We

59:11don't want to lose anything for the

59:13gospel. How much will you do for the

59:15love of the gospel? Hallelujah. If the

59:20whole crux of the gospel that you have

59:21believed has to do with the things that

59:23you have gotten, then you have not

59:25really come to embrace the gospel. The

59:28gospel when received, yeah, that's an

59:30Amy simple mfassen.

59:33Okay. The whole crux of the gospel is

59:36not just what we receive, it's also what

59:38we lose. You must lose self. Lose self.

59:43A man was asked, they said to him, "What

59:45have you gained by praying? You are

59:48still on the same one room apartment and

59:50nothing has changed." He said, "Yes, I

59:52agree that I'm in the same one room

59:54apartment and that and that and that."

59:55But one thing has happened. I've lost

59:57anger. I've lost malice. I've lost

1:00:00ability to hold on to strife. [music]

1:00:04What have you lost to the gospel?

1:00:07Is the gospel priced enough to make you

1:00:09inconvenient?

1:00:11Me, I just love my convenience. You

1:00:14I just love it.

1:00:16Have you come [music] to that point

1:00:17where you can go all out for the gospel?

1:00:20Some people cannot hear God say to them,

1:00:22[music] "Sell all that you have and give

1:00:25for the cause of the gospel."

1:00:27Some people are graduates today. They

1:00:29cannot hear. Even in our age, it's

1:00:31becoming more strange to hear God say to

1:00:33people, resign your job and go to a

1:00:35village and be a missionary.

1:00:38It's becoming strange.

1:00:41Leave all and follow.

1:00:44Leave all and follow.

1:00:47All Apostle Paul says THAT I EVER

1:00:51COUNTED gain I saw it AS LOSS.

1:00:54ALL I FELT THAT I LOST, I found out

1:00:58[music] that it was truly gain.

1:01:01So all that you ever think, imagine that

1:01:04you lost to the gospel, heavenwise, it

1:01:07was a gain. All that you thought you

1:01:10gained

1:01:13by your convenience,

1:01:15if it is not translated to souls, then

1:01:19it was truly not a game. The heart of

1:01:21David is the heart of love.

1:01:24Every day love will be demanded from

1:01:27you. Your response must be

1:01:31enough given to everyone.

1:01:34Give it to everyone. This guy came to

1:01:37Jesus asked how [music] many times

1:01:39should I forgive my brother? And Jesus

1:01:41said 70 * 7 right in a day. So it means

1:01:46that you must be jobless to be counting.

1:01:49number one step on you said you know I'm

1:01:52warning you that's how you did the other

1:01:53time number two I forgive you number

1:01:56three until 490 right

1:01:59no

1:02:01Jesus was simply saying [music]

1:02:03that love is in your heart count no

1:02:06wrong see me and hear me well if you

1:02:09read 1 Corinthians 13 you will see that

1:02:11a man can sacrifice and yet have no love

1:02:14but you cannot love and not sacrifice

1:02:18you can do the things that David did and

1:02:19yet not have the hearts that David had.

1:02:23But the heart ensures that you have the

1:02:26result and that is why we are

1:02:28considering the heart of David.

1:02:31I want you to bow your heads and ask the

1:02:34Lord.

1:02:38The Lord,

1:02:42find my heart yielded to your word

1:02:46[music]

1:02:48yielded to your instructions,

1:02:51yielded

1:02:53to your pruning.

1:02:55We are like

1:02:58those people in the hands of [music]

1:03:01you know

1:03:02the potter.

1:03:05The way he pleases is the way he moves

1:03:07us. [music]

1:03:09And we have seen the heart of David.

1:03:13How that he loved. [music]

1:03:15He had reasons not to love but he loved.

1:03:20He saw men who HURT HIM AND YET HIS

1:03:22RESPONSE was love.

1:03:26long lost relationships will be

1:03:27restored.

1:03:29[music]

1:03:35Lift your voice and talk to your father

1:03:37to help your heart. [music]

1:03:40Tell him to help your heart.

1:03:43[music]

1:03:46I want to see you more clearly.

1:03:49[music and singing]

1:03:51Love you more dearly.

1:03:54follow [music] you monarly

1:03:58day by

1:04:01we want to see [music]

1:04:03you [singing] more clearly.

1:04:06Love you more [music] dearly. [singing]

1:04:10Follow you more

1:04:14[music]

1:04:15deeper.

1:04:17If you don't mind, rise up on your feet

1:04:18as we close [music] this meeting.

1:04:20[singing]

1:04:23Make sure you're still praying [music]

1:04:24to your father. [singing]

1:04:28Follow follow you, Lord.

1:04:35[music]

1:04:37I want you to get a neighbor. We're

1:04:39going to pray the prayer we prayed last

1:04:40week. [music]

1:04:42Philippians chapter 1 verse 9 and 10.

1:04:45Get one neighbor. You're [music] going

1:04:47to pray for that neighbor. Philippians 1

1:04:499 and 10. Just one person.

1:04:52Get [music] one person to pray with. Are

1:04:56you there? Philippians [music] 1 9-10.

1:05:03I sense the anointing of our Lord here.

1:05:07I'm waiting.

1:05:13Philippians 1. [music] If you can pick

1:05:15your Bibles, please do.

1:05:18Okay, they're here. Let's read together.

1:05:20Okay, let's read together. One to go.

1:05:23And this I pray.

1:05:26That your love may abound yet [music]

1:05:28in knowledge.

1:05:31Verse 10.

1:05:33[music]

1:05:34Wow. That he may approve things that are

1:05:38excellent. That he may be sincere.

1:05:43So [music] you're going to look at your

1:05:44neighbor and you're going to read this

1:05:45scripture in prayers to them. Are you

1:05:46are you are you with me? From verse

1:05:48[music] 9.

1:05:49Take it again. Proverbs 9. You are

1:05:52praying for them. And this I pray that

1:05:55your love may abound yet more and more

1:05:58in knowledge and in all judgment. Next

1:06:01verse.

1:06:04That ye may approve things that are

1:06:07excellent. That he may be sincere.

1:06:10[music]

1:06:12Lift your voice and pray for that

1:06:14neighbor.

1:06:16[music] Pray for that brother. Pray for

1:06:17that sister
