0:16the panel just happened uh and we saw a
0:19little bit of a teaser amazing amazing
0:21job um first of all Scott or I'm going
0:24to have you guys introduce yourselves to
0:25our screen Rand audience right into that
0:27camera uh so my name is Paul Mel
0:30Williams and I play Darius on Jurassic

1:03hi this supped to be the easiest part uh

1:15Kenji amazing amazing so Scott and Aaron
1:18question for you guys what excited you
1:20the most uh creatively to step into the
1:22sandbox of the Jurassic Park Jurassic
1:25world
1:27franchise I'm going to let you take that
1:29one okay well I mean first of all it's
1:31an iconic franchise so just the fact
1:33that we got to be a part of it at all uh
1:36it's just it's an honor it's it's a
1:38responsibility because so many people
1:40feel the same way about it and feels
1:42very uh dear to their hearts and so and
1:45then to get to revisit the characters
1:47that we said about in Camp Cretaceous
1:50you don't normally get a chance to do
1:52that uh and so it's been uh it's been
1:55great it's you know you don't like I
1:57said you don't normally get an
1:58opportunity like this so we just uh are
2:00enjoying it and making the most of it
2:02incredible now for all of you uh voice
2:04actors up here you guys do an incredible
2:06job on the show what are you excited or
2:08what can you tease about uh your
2:10characters in season 2 I'm going to
2:12start with you because you're kind of
2:14taking over for for Ryan here um talk to
2:17me about Kenji like what can you tease
2:19about
2:20Kenji um I'm just going to say you know
2:23finding out Brooklyn the source of his
2:26heartbreak is alive is going to thick in
2:30the plot so it's going to be a lot of
2:32fun there's a lot of repairing I think
2:34of his heart with his father and also
2:36with Brooklyn in season one that it's
2:38going to come more into fruition in
2:39season 2 it's going to be an interesting
2:41Journey interesting ride and uh fun for
2:43the whole family so
2:47yeah yeah go ahead yeah um well season 1
2:51left off with a a new Brooklyn you know
2:55we uh see that something happened but we
2:57don't know what so we're going to see
3:00what happened the night of the dyno
3:01attack and go from there on October
3:0617th she
3:08learn
3:10yeah she's a great
3:13teacher uh for Yas we get a pick up with
3:15a post PTSD y um from Camp Cretaceous
3:20and uh you know she's she's on her she's
3:23on a therapist era so um coming off
3:26season 1 so we get to see her re uh
3:29reemerge is that a word it is now with
3:31dinosaurs and then also uh the
3:34relationship with Sammy is one of my
3:35favorite things that we get to see
3:36throughout throughout um season 2 as
3:38well how that um thickens and un
3:43thickens which is also both valid
3:47words the plot thickens and un thickens
3:50as well that's how it works folks just
3:54yes it mayi it may read who knows guys
3:56who knows we don't know on October 17th
3:58you will know though tune in it's very
4:01chaotic uh for Sammy it's kind of the
4:03same you know of her getting with the
4:05camp fam again you know we're running
4:07from conspiracy theorist people trying
4:09to kill us all these things happening
4:10crazy dinosaurs um reuniting with Yas
4:13figuring out that Dynamic of their
4:15relationship where they left off in
4:16season 1 you know dealing with
4:19Brooklyn's death and how that affects
4:20not just everybody as a group but Sammy
4:23herself and you know we find out that um
4:25her and her family are just a little bit
4:27separated in Texas and you know so I
4:29think now we get to see her lean more on
4:30her Camp fam for season 2 and get to see
4:34what that looks like when a lot of
4:36things start to um thicken and then we
4:39get to see what happens from there
4:41so I don't I'm Feeling
4:43Anymore strange keep me a thick
4:46yes um for Ben he's kind of been on this
4:50whole conspiracy theory kick for the
4:51whole like for a lot of this these six
4:54years after camp cretaceus and so I
4:56think this is kind of a big moment for
4:58him this after season one that they're
5:00on this adventure on this ship and
5:01everything so
5:03um um oh wait this is post I'm sorry hey
5:09how are you hey Scott so no no but so
5:12okay so um yeah so he's excited about
5:16finding he's right about certain things
5:18and kind of getting further with all his
5:20conspiracies this is like an exciting
5:21time for Ben amazing Sean I wish your
5:24voice was like my GPS
5:26man his voice is amazing so comforting
5:29love it appreciate
5:32um the
5:35thickening called it the
5:37thickening Jurassic world the thickening
5:39yeah can that be the plot line chaos
5:41thickens yeah chaos
5:43thickens um for Darius um I I think that
5:48you know he's he's been in solitude for
5:51for a little while um you know he's he's
5:54been working with the DWP and now you
5:56know he finally uh he left after after
5:59after the death of Brooklyn and I think
6:01that there are a lot of conflicting
6:04emotions with him right now um we saw in
6:06season one that you know he got into a
6:08fight with Kenji and effectively at the
6:10end of the season you know he confessed
6:11that he was in love with Brooklyn and um
6:15yeah I think that especially in season 2
6:17we will see more of him
6:20develop uh in a way that not only
6:22interacts with uh the other Camp F but
6:25also himself and he's he's going to do a
6:27little bit of soul searching to to
6:29figure out what he what he really wants
6:30and where he wants to go incredible now
6:32stepping into the role of Kenji after
6:34Ryan from the previous series what was
6:36important for you to nail with the
6:37character before I talk about that did
6:40you buy those shoes to match your hat no
6:43well no cuz just got the Hat when I got
6:46here this this
6:47weekend we we've noticed and it's nice
6:51thank you um sorry what was important
6:54kind of matching now to I just kind of
6:55see uh stepping into the role of uh
6:57after after Ryan uh from the previous uh
6:59series how important was what was the
7:01most important for you think most
7:03important thing to nail for you um you
7:06know getting the voice right because
7:07that's the job but no it's honestly like
7:10trying to really understand his energy
7:14from season 1 his quirkiness whatever
7:17like what he added to the new six um but
7:20then also trying to digest that and
7:23understanding what he's going through in
7:24season
7:24one very different relationship
7:26seemingly with his father with his
7:28Financial State how he's living his life
7:30um so just diving into that and playing
7:32it authentically um Ryan were that was
7:35some big shoes to Phil and I just wanted
7:38to do the best job I could so you know
7:40trying to match that but then bring
7:41something else to it that was
7:43authentically mine and you succeeded
7:45Darren yes thank you I thickened that
7:48you thicken you thickened this interview
7:50that's a fact now Ben as the conspiracy
7:52nerd wasn't what we might have uh might
7:55have expected following the previous
7:56series what was your to what was your
7:58reaction to seeing his Arc this season
8:02um well I thought it was cool um I I
8:05didn't for some I don't always piece
8:07stuff together myself but then I I
8:09someone brought up to me that was like
8:11he was kind of nervous about like the
8:12germs and stuff early on so he's always
8:14kind of had this kind of like anxious
8:17thoughts about stuff so it's kind of
8:18cool that he grew up to being like now
8:20he's tough he can handle things but he
8:21still kind of like got the conspiracy
8:23brain going and um but yeah so I I love
8:26the Arc of everything and no one was
8:28believing him for a while and he was
8:30kind of on his own but now everyone's
8:32kind of grouping up and he's like he's
8:34being proven right in some way so I
8:37think it's just a fun moment for this
8:38character cuz he's a big tough dude and
8:41I can't say it enough it's just a kind
8:42of a cool thing to play and um yeah I
8:45think there's just exciting uh there's
8:47exciting stuff coming up the hunkiness
8:49really is what did it for everybody in
8:51season one more hunkiness for season I
8:53do want you to be my GPS as well
8:55freaking love you Sean I freaking love
8:58you just makes smile yeah he's great now
9:01uh Chaos Theory set up a very different
9:03Brooklyn uh that fans May uh may have
9:05not expected from previous Seasons uh as
9:09a performer what excited you the most uh
9:11stepping into to such a role yeah I
9:14think you know as not only a performer
9:16but an actor with a disability it was
9:18really exciting to take on a role with a
9:20character with a disability just because
9:22there's not a lot of representation in
9:24media and to do that role in such a huge
9:30franchise as well I think is a very big
9:32moment for actors with disabilities and
9:34for just the community as a whole and
9:37it's it's very exciting it's I'm just
9:40really lucky yeah it's absolutely
9:42incredible now Chaos Theory gave YZ uh a
9:45unique Arc from uh her therapy session
9:48why is it important for the franchise to
9:50approach these kinds of stories yeah
9:52well I think what I love so much about
9:55this series is that it doesn't shy away
9:56from things that are real and uh just
9:59the strong belief just how smart even
10:00though it's you know what kid
10:02programming or family programming how
10:04smart kids are and how much they can do
10:06with when they're introduced to things
10:07when it comes to like okay in Camp
10:09Cretaceous she had PTSD and she had to
10:13deal with that and how she overcame that
10:14so seeing what she's sort of become in
10:17chaos theory is a sense of character
10:20pride and then what she does with that
10:22and um yeah I'm I'm glad that we get to
10:25share stories like that because it also
10:28just shows the power of like oh like we
10:29can talk about therapy now I don't know
10:31I don't know if we could do that so so
10:34you know however many years ago so it's
10:36an exciting thing to be part of that
10:37amazing Sammy gets a lot of romantic
10:39tension uh to explore with YZ this
10:41season uh what ex what excite excites
10:44you the most about their relationship
10:45this season I just love how much that no
10:48matter what Scott and Aaron put Yas and
10:51Sammy through their love just shines
10:54through all the time um I think it's
10:56really special to be able to have a
10:58relationship like that be shown a lot
11:01especially
11:02because they're two people just trying
11:05to figure life out with each other and
11:07and growing up and we saw them in Camp
11:10Cretaceous as teenagers and now they're
11:11adults and with PTSD and Trauma and
11:14family problems and they're scattered
11:16across the world and so they're they're
11:18separated but their love is still the
11:20core value of what they believe in with
11:21each other so to be able to kind of
11:23showcase that as really special and I
11:25think fans relate to that because
11:27everyone can go through that at some
11:28point in their life and they're just two
11:30people trying to figure it out figuring
11:32it out while also running from dinosaurs
11:34so I think it's a nice little Dynamic
11:35that they get to throw in together
11:37inredible I think it's a real reflection
11:38of our relationship really because yes I
11:41love you and I love you wanted to say
11:44that now the time thck
11:48no now uh given the O overarching uh
11:51giving your overarching character Arc
11:53from the previous season um there's new
11:55highs and lows to your character what
11:57has surprised you the most about
11:58darius's growth this season um that's a
12:02good question I think that um in Camp
12:04cretaceus we saw Darius as this young
12:06kid who just
12:09loved the things that he was into I mean
12:12he was he was youthful and he was you
12:14know everything that he looked at he saw
12:15with the the childlike wonder and now
12:17that we go into chaos theory it's like
12:20the first thing you see like 5 minutes
12:22into the first episode is this guy
12:24struggling with his grief and and kind
12:28of adapting to to these adult quote
12:32unquote emotions in a way um and
12:35especially what I really liked about it
12:37was that scene with Ben uh in the first
12:40episode where they're talking about uh
12:42where they're talking about Brooklyn's
12:43death and um I really appreciated you
12:47know what Scott told me on that day to
12:49really get me into the character because
12:51I haven't well I won't say I haven't
12:53lost anybody meaningful but it's been a
12:55while so I really had to tap into that
12:59feeling as an actor and I felt that it
13:02it helped me portray Darius better and I
13:05think that his his Arc that he's going
13:07through right now especially into season
13:082 is just more so figuring out how he
13:10wants to handle his future relationships
13:13and also you know struggling with the
13:16the selfish uh the selfishness that he
13:19has and um and how that's going to
13:22counteract with everybody else that's
13:24that's in the camp fam so amazing now um
13:27Scott Aaron question for you how much
13:28cross crossover exists between uh the
13:31team uh of you guys and the the team
13:33working on the next uh Jurassic Park
13:35iteration uh if at all you're talking
13:37about the new film that's coming up no
13:39but we're the you know we're uh sort of
13:43uh we're we're not involved with uh with
13:45that you know with by choice by choice I
13:48didn't want anything to do with
13:50that uh but you know
13:53uh I'm not joking I'm not joking okay
13:56all right come on man they're going
14:00um I'm just very upset yeah that's okay
14:03he's dealing with a lot uh but you know
14:05but coming uh coming off of dominion you
14:09know Colin chavarro uh Frank Marshall uh
14:12Steven Spielberg you know they've all
14:13been involved with with crafting the
14:16story you know Colin's been there and
14:18with us you know in the writers room
14:20with her head writer Bethany Armstrong
14:22Johnson so yeah so not not so much with
14:25with with the new one but uh you know
14:27we're we're we're we're we're still
14:29uh in in steeped in in the franchise
14:32well look October's right around the
14:33corner I can't wait for this next season
