0:04hey everyone and welcome back to my
0:06channel in today's video I will be
0:08teaching you how to make these super
0:10cute monster leaves as you can see it
0:14basically matches the background that I
0:15have for this and uh yeah so this is
0:18what I'm going to teach you in this
0:19video as always I will make sure that
0:22I'm going as much detail as I can with
0:25every single stitch and every single
0:26step to ensure that every beginner is
0:28able to replicate this however if you
0:31feel like I'm going too fast feel free
0:33to adjust the speed of the video or if
0:35you need any help feel free to reach out
0:37in the comment section below but without
0:40further Ado let's jump into it here are
0:42the materials that I'm going to use here
0:44I have four ply coton yarn and here I
0:48have crochet hook for this project I'm
0:50using 3.5 mm hook and you will also need
0:55scissors and here is the final monster
0:58or leave which I'm going to teach you in
1:00this video so let's jump into it so our
1:04first step is to create a slip knot and
1:07for that I'm just grabbing my yarn here
1:09and kind of making a loop like this and
1:13then twisting it and pulling yarn
1:16through the loop that we have to kind of
1:18create a knot here and as you can see
1:21the loop here is quite big so I'm just
1:24grabbing my crochet hook and attaching
1:27it to the to the hook to kind of create
1:30the size that fits our hook and this is
1:33our slip nut so now we can proceed
1:35further with doing chains and for our
1:38first step in total we have to do 12
1:40chains so just grabbing yarn and pulling
1:43it through this Loop that we have that's
1:46one chain and then just repeating for 12
1:49times in total 2 3 uh 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 and
2:0011 and 12 so these are our 12 chains
2:05that we had to do for our first step and
2:07then we can move further so our first
2:10step is basically to skip this first
2:13chain and work into the second one and
2:16that's where we are going to do one
2:17single crochet so for single crochet
2:20just go through this uh Stitch or Chain
2:24Grab yarn and pull it up to have two
2:26loops on your hook then yarn over and
2:29pull through both both Loops like this
2:31so that's one single crochet then in the
2:34next chain here we are going to do one
2:37half double crochet so for that yarn
2:40over go through the Chain Grab yarn and
2:43pull it up to have three loops on your
2:45hook then yarn over and pull through all
2:48three Loops like this after that we just
2:53have to chain one like this and then we
2:56are going to do one single crochet
2:58inside the this half double crochet so
3:02I'm just going through this Stitch here
3:04in the middle then grabbing yarn pulling
3:06it up and then pulling through two uh as
3:10we did for single crochet and then after
3:13that we just have to chain one like this
3:16and then our next step is to do two
3:19single crochets in the next two chains
3:22here that we have here at the base so
3:25I'm just going through the first one and
3:28doing a single crochet there and then
3:30another one in the next one
3:33here like this then after that our next
3:37step is to chain five so 1
3:412 3 4 and five and at this point we have
3:47to attach These Chains here to the first
3:50piece that we already did so I'm just
3:52removing my hook and making this Loop a
3:55little looser and then we just have to
3:57count three starting from here here so 1
4:002 and three so I'm going to go through
4:04this third Stitch here that we have here
4:07with my hook like this and then grabbing
4:10this Loop that we have here and just
4:13pulling it through and in this way we
4:16are going to attach it uh to the very
4:19beginning that we did stitches in the
4:21beginning here and then after that we
4:23just have to chain one like this and
4:26then our next step is to do one half
4:28double crochet inside this space here so
4:32doing one half double crochet in there
4:36after that we have to do one double
4:38crochet also in the same space so for
4:40double crochet you have to yarn over go
4:43through this uh space here grab yarn and
4:46pull it up to have three Loops yarn over
4:49and pull through two then yarn over
4:51again and pull through remaining two so
4:54that's one double crochet after that do
4:56another half double crochet like this
5:01and then our last step is to do three
5:03single crochets inside the same space so
5:07one
5:09two and
5:12three like this so we have finished this
5:16first piece and now we can attach it to
5:19the main base that we have in the chains
5:21here so first we have to skip one and
5:25then in the following one we are doing
5:26one single crochet so I'm just going
5:29through that one and doing a single
5:31crochet in there like this this is how
5:34it looks where we are at this point
5:36after that we again have to chain five
5:39so 1 2 3 4 and five and then I'm again
5:46making this Loop looser and Counting
5:49four stitches here from this side so 1 2
5:533 and four so going through this uh
5:56fourth one and again pulling this uh
5:59chain of five through this space and
6:02chaining one again and now we will have
6:05to do some stitches inside here in this
6:08chain of five space so first I'm
6:11starting by doing one half double
6:13crochet so completing this stitch in
6:17here then doing three double crochets
6:20inside the same space so this is one
6:24doing another
6:26one two and the third one
6:31like this and then it's left for us to
6:33do one more half double
6:37crochet and then three single
6:40crochets so
6:43one two and
6:46three like this and then again we have
6:50to attach it to the main base and first
6:52we are skipping one and then going into
6:55the next one and in there doing one
6:58single crochet
7:00like this so now we have skipped one
7:02chain and done a single crochet in the
7:05next one and after that we can proceed
7:07with the next bit and for that we have
7:10to chain six so 1 2 3 4 5 and six and
7:17again pulling this Loop uh a little
7:20longer and then we are counting five
7:23stitches from here so 1 2 3 4 and five
7:27and going through this fifth one like
7:30this then grabbing this Loop and pulling
7:35it through to attach
7:37it so now it's there and then we just
7:40have to chain one like this after that
7:43our next step is to do five double
7:45crochets inside the same space so
7:49starting to work on
7:51those this is one
7:55then two
8:03three four and
8:07five after that we have to do one half
8:11double crochet so doing that and then
8:15again we have to do three single
8:17crochets so
8:20one
8:222 and three like this and now again we
8:28just have to attach it to the base so
8:31first I'm skipping one and then doing a
8:34single crochet inside the next chain
8:36that we have there so just doing that
8:39one single crochet in here and as you
8:43can see now it's attached and we can
8:46proceed further with the next bit and
8:48for that again we just have to chain six
8:51so 1 2 3 4 5 and six and again making
8:58this Loop loose closer or longer and
9:01then counting five stitches here from
9:04this bit so 1 2 3 4 5 and just going
9:08through this one with our hook again
9:11grabbing this Loop and pulling it
9:13through and then just chaining two in
9:16this time and after that doing five
9:19double crochets so let's do that this is
9:23one then the second one
9:30third
9:34one fourth and
9:38fifth once that's done we have to do one
9:41half double
9:43crochet and after that again three
9:46single crochets so
9:49one two and three in here so the final
9:55bit is completed now we just have to
9:57attach it to the last chain that we have
10:00here and we are just going through that
10:02one and doing a single crochet in there
10:05like this so now we have finished half
10:08of it and our next step for this bit is
10:12to basically get back to the very
10:14beginning where we started and to do
10:16that we just have to do single crochets
10:19on the other side of these chains so
10:22let's start doing that we basically just
10:24have to do one single crochet inside
10:26every single bit that we have here and
10:29it's very important to count along the
10:31way to make sure that you are doing the
10:34right amount of chains or single
10:36crochets that we need because it might
10:38look a little tricky cuz it doesn't
10:40really look as a regular Stitch so just
10:43going through again this first one where
10:45we already have one single crochet but
10:48in this case we are just doing it on the
10:50other side so it's kind of flipped so
10:53that's one then going through the next
10:56bit two
10:59then here we have a little bit trickier
11:01Space
11:033
11:084
11:11five this is our sixth and then in here
11:16just doing the seventh
11:20one
11:24eight
11:289
11:3010 11th here like this and then 12th one
11:35goes here at the very
11:37tip so like that now we have done 12
11:41single crochets on this side and we can
11:45flip our work and now basically all we
11:48have to do is just repeat the same steps
11:50that we did on this side so basically
11:53you can just uh turn the video back from
11:56the very beginning and just repeat what
11:58we did in there
12:00[Music]
12:09there so here I am at the very end so
12:12now I just have to connect this last bit
12:15to the base here and here I have my very
12:19last single crochet stitch from the from
12:21the base here so just going through that
12:23one and doing the last single crochet
12:27like this and now we are done on both
12:30sides so we can actually cut off the
12:31yarn and before we do so we just have to
12:34chain one pull the loop looser like this
12:37then we can grab our scissors and cut it
12:40off and as it's cut off we can just
12:43tighten it by pulling it here like that
12:46and we are done with this uh leave here
12:49as you can see now last step is really
12:52just to weave in these Loose Ends so it
12:55looks nice and pretty and for that I'm
12:58normally just just using my crochet hook
13:01then just grabbing yarn and pulling it
13:03through like random bits from the back
13:06side you can choose whatever side you
13:09wish and whatever uh stitches you want
13:11to Loop it through so just make sure
13:14that it's consistent and at the end it
13:16looks nice and all of these loose yarn
13:20pieces are not visible so just do that
13:23and then we are
13:25done so this is how it looks at the end
13:28once it's f finalized and if we want to
13:31measure it it is around 7 cm in this way
13:36and here it's approximately 7 to 8 so
13:39that's approximate size if using these
13:41type of materials that I used and feel
13:44free to create multiple of them you
13:46could easily attach them in whatever way
13:49you wish here I have made quite a lot of
13:52them already so it would be nice to kind
13:55of connect them together to make some uh
13:58lay SE tops or things similar to that so
14:02feel free to do that and I would be
14:04super happy to see what you are creating
14:07so that was basically it for me today I
14:09really hope that this video was useful
14:11for you and that you learned something
14:12new and uh here I have actually prepared
14:16quite many of these leaves already so I
14:18will try to create some bigger crochet
14:21project or pattern later on once I have
14:24some more time and I will make sure to
14:26also film it and share it with you as
14:28well once it's ready otherwise I really
14:31hope that you enjoyed and if you did
14:33please give me a big thumbs up and if
14:36you need any help as I mentioned before
14:38feel free to ask in the comment section
14:40below and if you're new here please
14:42subscribe and I will see you later bye
