Intro

0:00Unlike Marvel, DC hasn't really had the

0:02best time at the movies in the last

0:0320-ish years attempting but never really

0:06succeeding at getting a cinematic

0:07universe off the ground. In the past I

0:09made a video looking at what the DCEU

0:11would look like if it was structured

0:12like the Infinity Saga thus making it

0:14way way better. However, even that

0:17wasn't perfect. For one, it was mostly

0:18based off of the DCEU which had a lot

0:20more issues than just its structure. But

0:23also it's modeled after a saga, the

0:24Infinity Saga, which isn't actually

0:26built for a complete comic book

0:28universe. What we got out of that was

0:30that really only had like one Flash

0:31movie, no Green Lantern movies, no Teen

0:33Titans, Green Arrow kind of just placed

0:36in at the end not getting a movie and

0:37generally more limited than I'd like the

0:39DC universe to be. So in this video and

0:41in two follow-ups, I'll be detailing

0:43what could have been the absolute

0:45perfect DC cinematic universe [music] at

0:47least from my perspective. Make sure to

The DCMU

0:50get to 100,000 subscribers by the end of

0:52the year and let's begin. The reason

0:54this will be broken up into multiple

0:56parts is because there's a lot more

0:57specifics I need to delve into than the

0:59normal universe restructuring video. The

1:01movies titles and stories are going to

1:03be either completely original or mixes

1:05of a few different projects. The

1:07castings will be from all across DC

1:09live-action media keeping in mind the

1:11ages of the actors in the year we will

1:13be in at that point. Basically, nothing

1:15about anything in this world will be

1:16consistent with any real world

1:18franchise. So explaining everything will

1:19take a little bit longer. This DC

1:22universe which I will call the DC movie

1:24universe or the DCMU begins in 2008. But

1:27even before that, things will be

1:29different. Everything released in the

1:3120th century was released in this world

1:33but as the turn of the century came

1:34about, things went a bit differently.

1:36Nothing live-action that was released by

1:38DC in the 21st century including both

1:40movies and TV shows exist in this world

1:43unless I specifically point out that it

1:45does. There's no Dark Knight trilogy, no

1:47Arrowverse, no DCEU, no Elseworlds, just

1:50one universe that every live-action

1:51project takes place in. Also, if there

1:53is ever a movie that has a similar plot

1:55to an animated movie, then that animated

1:57movie also did not exist just so that

1:59that live-action movie doesn't come off

2:01as derivative but every other animated

2:03project will exist. Instead of phases,

2:05there will be chapters. Chapter one of

2:07the first saga which won't be getting a

2:08name yet will begin in 2008 with three

2:11back-to-back releases featuring the

2:13first three Justice League founders to

2008

2:15get live-action movies, Superman,

2:16Batman, and Green Lantern. I know it

2:18would have made sense for it to be the

2:19Trinity Superman, Batman, and Wonder

2:21Woman but the actress who's going to be

2:23playing Wonder Woman in this universe

2:24would have been too young in 2008. And

2:26also Green Lantern did get a movie

2:28before Wonder Woman. So I think this is

2:29fine. The first of these will be a movie

2:31called The Batman. A movie that is sort

2:33of a combination of all the live-action

2:35Batman franchises of the 21st century.

2:37As you can already tell, it has the

2:38title of The Batman and also the costume

2:40of The Dark Knight. But it goes beyond

2:42that. There are a few options for who

2:43can play Batman even in 2008. Robert

2:46Pattinson was definitely too young at

2:48the time and none of the TV actors are

2:49good fits either because of age, not

2:51fitting the role at all, or simply not

2:52proving themselves to have star power.

2:54This leaves the only two options as

2:56Christian Bale and Ben Affleck. Both

2:58really great actors with their

2:59strengths. But honestly, I don't think

3:00Bale would ever sign on to an entire

3:02cinematic universe. And Affleck fits the

3:05more fantastical type of Batman we need

3:07for a DC universe. Also, him starting at

3:0935 rather than 43 gives him far more

3:11time as a bit of a younger Batman. As

3:14for the rest of the cast, Anne Hathaway

3:15plays Catwoman, Jeremy Irons plays

3:17Alfred, Gary Oldman plays James Gordon,

3:19and Morgan Freeman plays Lucius Fox.

3:21[music] Like the real The Batman, this

3:23movie will skip Batman's origin and

3:25place us in year two as Batman

3:27transitions from more realistic mobsters

3:29to theatrical supervillains. While the

3:31story is very similar to that of The

3:33Dark Knight including Harvey Dent played

3:35by Aaron Eckhart becoming Two-Face due

3:37to the actions of The Joker who would be

3:39played by Heath Ledger but will appear

3:41again in this universe and then he will

3:43be recast. [music] There are many other

3:45big differences as well. I prefer for it

3:46to be directed by Matt Reeves instead of

3:48Christopher Nolan so it's not too

3:49realistic. Gotham looks like how it does

3:52in The Batman. Batman does not become a

3:53public enemy in the end. And also Rachel

3:55Dawes just doesn't exist. She's replaced

3:57partially by Harvey's wife Gilda Dent.

4:00But also as Batman's love interest she's

4:01replaced by Catwoman. Two-Face does

4:04still die here because I think his story

4:06peaks in his origin anyway. Batman will

4:08wear the Dark Knight suit to start off

4:09but it will change over time. Affleck

4:11plays him but characterization-wise he's

4:14very different. His Bruce is more like

4:16Bale's and this Batman absolutely does

4:18not kill and never will. Superman: Man

4:21of Steel will also be a bit of a mix

4:23between a few different Superman

4:24franchises. There are quite a few

4:26options for who could play Superman.

4:28Tyler Hoechlin would have been a bit too

4:29young at the time and David Conradt

4:31would have been way too young. But Henry

4:33Cavill, Brandon Routh, and even Tom

4:35Welling are all options. Honestly

4:37though, there is a clear choice here for

4:38me and that's Brandon Routh who unlike

4:40Cavill who would have fit better as

4:41Batman, just has that Superman aura to

4:44him. The rest of the cast actually comes

4:46mostly from Smallville including Erica

4:48Durance as Lois Lane, Michael Ironside

4:50as Sam Lane, Aaron Ashmore as Jimmy

4:52Olsen, John Schneider as Jonathan Kent,

4:54and Annette O'Toole as Martha Kent. And

4:56a few from the DCEU like Laurence

4:58Fishburne as Perry White, Russell Crowe

5:00as Jor-El, and Ayelet Zurer as Lara

5:03Lor-Van. Aside from Routh, the only

5:05other thing I take from Superman Returns

5:07is the costume which will also change

5:09over time. This Superman will be

5:11characterized the same as Tyler

5:12Hoechlin's meaning Clark Kent is who he

5:14really is while Superman is somehow both

5:16a friendly face and at times an imposing

5:18figure. Lois also falls in love with

5:20Clark rather than Superman because I

5:22just prefer that so much more. As for

5:25the story, it will be very similar to

5:27Man of Steel although with a completely

5:30including being an origin story flashing

5:32back here and there to when Clark was a

5:33kid and was Zod being the villain. But

5:35obviously this is not Man of Steel. It's

5:37not directed by Zack Snyder. He will

5:39have no part in this universe but rather

5:41Joe Johnston. Everyone is characterized

5:43better. Clark and Lois have chemistry.

5:45The movie is more vibrant. Clark goes to

5:47work at the Daily Planet right at the

5:48beginning. The fights between Superman

5:50and Zod cause minimal damage and

5:52Superman does not kill Zod. Instead he

5:54banishes him to the Phantom Zone. As for

5:56Green Lantern, we literally do not have

5:59any other options. Only one actor has

6:01ever played Hal Jordan in live-action,

6:03Ryan Reynolds. We could go for Kyle

6:05Chandler who will play Hal in the DCU.

6:07But he was 43 in 2008, too old for a

6:10version of Hal who was just starting

6:12off. Honestly though, I think if the

6:14movie was better written and didn't look

6:16so gross, Ryan Reynolds would have been

6:18considered good casting. So we'll be

6:19taking Green Lantern back three years

6:21and somehow making it a lot better than

6:23it is. The rest of the cast is the same

6:25as the movie as well. I don't see any

6:27reason to change any of them. Green

6:28Lantern will be directed by Joseph

6:30Kosinski and will be an origin story

6:32based on Green Lantern: Secret Origin

6:34which also came out in 2008. Geoff Johns

6:36simply would have written it for a movie

6:38rather than a comic and it wouldn't be

6:39quite as obviously setting up Blackest

6:41Night. Hal's father dies in a plane

6:43crash when he's a kid. He grows up and

6:45is forbidden to become a pilot by his

6:47mother but he joins the Air Force at 18.

6:49His mother refuses to talk to him

6:51because of it and then dies of cancer

6:52before they can reconcile. Hal gets

6:54dishonorably discharged after hitting a

6:56superior officer but gets hired at

6:58Ferris Air as a test pilot. He and Carol

7:00Ferris become romantically involved

7:01right before Abin Sur comes crashing to

7:03Earth and then gives his ring to Hal. It

7:06turns out Abin Sur was attacked by

7:07someone named Atrocitus who hates the

7:09Guardians for the destruction of his

7:10sector by their first attempt at

7:12peacekeepers, The Manhunters. So there's

7:14a lot of lore being explored here at

7:15this point through the perspective of

7:17Hal Jordan who's being taught all of it.

7:20Atrocitus follows Abin Sur's trail and

7:21attacks Hal but he's saved by the Green

7:24Lantern of the neighboring sector 2813,

7:26Tomar-Re. Tomar-Re and Hal defeat

7:28Atrocitus. Tomar-Re takes him prisoner

7:30and brings both he and Hal to Oa.

7:32Atrocitus purposefully left behind and

7:34hid a powerful weapon called the Cosmic

7:37Divining Rod. Hal then arrives on Oa, is

7:39explained everything he needs to know

7:41about the Corps, and he's trained by

7:42Kilowog and Sinestro. Back on Earth, the

7:44Cosmic Rod is found by William Hand

7:47played by Iwan Rheon, a psychopath

7:49obsessed with death who is able to

7:50unleash the Rod's full power which

7:52Atrocitus wasn't and uses it to unleash

7:54his greatest fantasies going on a

7:56killing spree that starts with his

7:58family. Meanwhile, Hal proves to be a

8:00quick study and a natural. He finishes

8:02his training and soon enough is sent

8:03back to Earth to operate as the Green

8:05Lantern of sector 2814 but is also

8:07joined by Sinestro for a day or two as a

8:09sort of supervision. Hal reunites with

8:11Carol who thought he had died so there's

8:13some trauma there. Sinestro does freak

8:15people out but this part of the movie

8:17takes place after Superman so people do

8:19know about aliens now. Hal and Sinestro

8:21team up against Black Hand who proves to

8:23be powerful enough to face them both.

8:25Hal proves himself by defeating Black

8:26Hand ending in William's death and

8:28Sinestro leaving sector 2814 in the

8:30capable hands of Hal Jordan. A

8:32post-credit scene shows Sinestro

8:34returning to his world revealed to be

8:35completely under his rule. 2009 sees the

2009

8:38release of Aquaman which will be a

8:40one-off and just about the exact same as

8:42the real Aquaman including James Wan

8:44directing except Jason Momoa and by

8:47extension Arthur Curry are nine years

8:49younger and the Justice League do not

8:50exist. Mera is played by Elena Satine

8:52who played her on Smallville just so we

8:54could avoid any controversy. The rest of

8:56the cast is the same. There are a few

8:58characters in this movie who at this

8:59point time did not exist yet in the

9:01comics like Stephen Shin and Nereus. So

9:03they would just be cut out but I think

9:05that's perfectly fine. Ocean Master is

9:07the villain and Black Manta is the

9:09secondary main villain but there won't

9:10be another Aquaman movie. However, Black

9:12Manta will definitely return. 2010 is

2010

9:15the year of the Trinity starting off

9:17with a shared sequel between The Batman

9:19and Superman: Man of Steel called Batman

9:21and Superman: World's Finest which would

9:23be directed by Brad Bird. Since the

9:25events of those two movies which was two

9:27years ago, Clark and Lois have gotten

9:28very serious and Clark is preparing to

9:31propose. He's also gotten a brighter

9:32suit and become good friends with Jimmy

9:34Olsen. The movie actually starts off

9:36with him revealing his identity to

9:37Jimmy. On the other hand, since those

9:39events, the government specifically Sam

9:41Lane and Amanda Waller have grown afraid

9:43of aliens and has contracted a few

9:45companies to build anti-Superman

9:47weapons. Chief among them is LexCorp.

9:50Lex Luthor is played by Michael

9:52Rosenbaum and builds a line of

9:53supersuits that are meant to combat

9:55Superman. Secretly however, Lex has used

9:57the bulk of the resources to clone

9:59Superman, successfully doing so. Around

10:02the same time, many mysterious murders

10:04crop up in Metropolis that seem

10:06impossible. Some witnesses claim that

10:08they were done by Superman, which is

10:10something that gets the attention of the

10:11owner of another one of those companies

10:13approached for that contract, but

10:15ultimately they denied it, which is

10:16Bruce Wayne. In the two years since The

10:18Batman, Batman has upgraded his suit and

10:21has faced off against a few iconic

10:23villains off-screen like Mad Hatter, Mr.

10:25Zsasz, Calendar Man, and Firefly. But so

10:28far, no one is superhuman. Metahumans in

10:30general will only be introduced in just

10:33a bit. Batman's investigation of LexCorp

10:35leads him to Metropolis where he meets

10:36Superman. They fight for like a minute,

10:38but Batman is clearly outmatched and

10:40only is able to stop the fight by

10:42calling Superman Clark. [music] Superman

10:44then uses his x-ray vision to find out

10:45that Batman is Bruce Wayne. Batman

10:47investigated Superman separately and

10:49concluded that he could not have killed

10:51those people. While Lois Lane and Jimmy

10:53Olsen separately also investigate these

10:55murders, unbeknownst to them, Batman and

10:57Superman are doing the same. Along the

10:59way, bouncing off each other's

11:00drastically different personalities and

11:01approaches, by the end, learning to

11:03respect the other and even learn to

11:05apply some of each other's methods to

11:07their own heroics. It turns out that

11:09Lex's plan all along was to frame

11:11Superman, sending the clone he created

11:13to kill an innocent person in front of

11:15witnesses before flying away. Doing so

11:17fast enough that people can't see his

11:19slightly deformed face. At one point,

11:21Superman and Batman are led to a trap by

11:23Lex where they're seen with a lot of

11:25evidence and then framed for the

11:26murders, making them both fugitives of

11:28the law. The government pours even more

11:30money into LexCorp, which was a part of

11:32his plan, and he uses it to complete the

11:34exo-suit drones. Lois and Jimmy

11:36eventually manage to uncover exonerating

11:39evidence, which also shows Lex's guilt,

11:41but until then, Superman and Batman are

11:43on the run from Lex and his army of

11:44drones. While Batman breaks into

11:46LexCorp, Superman approaches Lex, which

11:48is when he reveals that he didn't do any

11:50of this for the money, but rather to

11:51turn public perception against Superman

11:53because he hates him. Batman breaks into

11:56LexCorp to destroy all the exo-suits,

11:57but instead he finds the clone, who

11:59turns out to be mentally handicapped and

12:01deformed. Bizarro attacks Batman, who

12:04just does his best to get away, while

12:05Lex attacks Superman with an army of

12:07exo-suit drones, as well as one suit

12:09that he wears for himself. Before

12:11Bizarro can kill Batman, Batman luckily

12:13manages to find out Bizarro's shtick

12:15that everything is backwards, which he

12:17uses to convince Bizarro that they are

12:19enemies, that Superman is also his

12:21enemy, and that Lex Luthor is his best

12:23friend. So, Bizarro leaves Batman alone

12:25to go after Lex, while Superman and

12:27Batman team up to destroy the drones.

12:29Bizarro is about to kill Lex, but is

12:31stopped by Superman. Turns out Bizarro

12:33has been degrading mentally over time,

12:35but after these few turns of events, he

12:37degrades to a mindless monster who just

12:39fights Superman. [music] Batman knocks

12:41out Lex and disables his suit, so he's

12:43taken out of the equation. Jimmy

12:44captures the Superman versus Bizarro

12:46fight on camera, which causes a bit more

12:48property damage. Batman tells Clark from

12:51afar that Bizarro is his opposite. So,

12:53Superman [music] takes this to mean that

12:55he'd be depowered by the yellow sun. To

12:57combat this, Lex gave him a red sun core

13:00inside of Bizarro's chest. [music]

13:02Superman sees this, pulls this out, and

13:04depowers Bizarro. Bizarro then dies in

13:07Superman's arms as his powers were the

13:09only thing keeping him alive. Lex is

13:11arrested, Superman is exonerated, Clark

13:13proposes to Lois, and she says yes,

13:15[music] and he invites Bruce to the

13:16wedding, but Bruce obviously declines.

13:18Back in the darkness of Gotham City and

13:20in reaction to Clark and Lois getting

13:22engaged, Bruce is kind of hit by a wave

13:24of loneliness and decides to go on a

13:26date with a woman who gave him her

13:27number recently. He calls a woman named

13:29Julie Madison, who excitedly agrees to

13:31the date and even suggests that they go

13:33to this circus that recently came to

13:35town. Next up is Wonder Woman, which I

13:38waited until now to get around to

13:39because before this point, I think Gal

13:41Gadot would have been a bit too young,

13:43and even now is verging on too young as

13:45she's just 25. There are technically

13:47other options from canceled projects,

13:50but Gal Gadot is perfectly fine in the

13:52role. I see no reason to switch her with

13:54someone that we don't even know will be

13:55good. The rest of the cast remains the

13:57same as well. I would also keep Patty

13:59Jenkins as director since she did do a

14:01good job, although she's clearly proved

14:03that she's not fit for the sequel, so

14:05she will be replaced. This movie coming

14:07out in 2010 means that it predates the

14:09New 52 and therefore also predates her

14:12revamped origin that was adapted into

14:14the movie. So, this Diana will be indeed

14:16made out of clay, bestowed to life by

14:18Zeus. Her costume will also have white

14:20stars on the skirt. Everything else

14:22could be the same, not that I loved all

14:24of it, but I mean not every individual

14:26movie in this universe has to be

14:27perfect. So, Ares is the main villain

14:30and I guess played by the same actor,

14:32and Dr. Poison is the secondary main

14:34villain. In the end, following World War

14:36I and Steve's death, Diana returns to

14:38Themyscira with a longing to return to

14:40man's world, while the Wonder Woman

14:43fades into being a legend, one that will

14:45soon be revealed to the world to be very

14:47much real. 2011 begins with the release

2011

14:49of Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, also

14:52directed by Joseph Kosinski. This movie

14:54follows up on everything from the first.

14:56Since the events of Green Lantern, which

14:58was 3 years prior, Hal has spent the

15:00majority of his time in space, which has

15:02caused his relationship with Carol to

15:03[music] become extremely fractured. Hal

15:05joins Sinestro to his home planet to

15:07help dispel an invasion by Despero, but

15:09soon learns that Sinestro has abused his

15:12power, having installed himself as

15:14supreme ruler of his home planet of

15:16Korugar. They defeat Despero together,

15:18but Hal reports Sinestro to the

15:20Guardians, who strip him of his ring and

15:21banish him to a prison planet called

15:23Qward, located in another dimension

15:25known as the antimatter universe. Hal

15:27returns to Earth to repair his

15:29relationship with Carol, but even while

15:30there is called away to stop a different

15:32villain named Sonar. Sinestro is

15:35approached by a mysterious shadowy

15:37figure. Far later, it'll be revealed to

15:39be the Anti-Monitor, but not for a very

15:41long time, who offers to help him get

15:43revenge on Hal Jordan and the Guardians

15:45of the Universe. The figure offers

15:47Sinestro the Weaponers of Qward, who

15:49help him create a yellow lantern ring

15:51powered by fear and to help him escape

15:53the antimatter universe. Meanwhile, the

15:55Guardians choose Sinestro's replacement

15:57for Sinestro's sector in Katma Tui.

16:00[music] Using this ring, Sinestro sets

16:02out to get revenge on Hal, so he goes to

16:04Earth. Hal returns from defeating Sonar

16:06to find Carol captured by Sinestro.

16:09Sinestro and Hal fight, but Hal's

16:10weakness to yellow gets the better of

16:12him and he loses. Sinestro doesn't kill

16:14Hal though. Instead, he kidnaps Carol

16:16Ferris and then uses her as a hostage,

16:19bargaining her life to force Hal to

16:21release Parallax from the Central Power

16:23Battery on Oa. Parallax is revealed to

16:25be the entity of fear imprisoned in the

16:27Central Power Battery, which is what

16:28gave the Green Lanterns a weakness to

16:30yellow, something that is very much

16:31focused on in this movie. Hal unleashes

16:33Parallax, who in turn possesses him.

16:35Parallax attacks the Green Lantern Corps

16:37and even kills Tomar-Re. Sinestro takes

16:39Carol to Korugar, where he reinstalls

16:42his regime, easily defeating the

16:44inexperienced Katma Tui and then

16:45imprisoning her. Sinestro leaves for Oa,

16:48following which the resistance on

16:49Korugar helps Carol and Katma Tui

16:51escape. Sinestro shows up to gloat.

16:54Katma Tui brings Carol to Hal Jordan,

16:56who manages to get [music] through to

16:57him, expelling Parallax from his body.

16:59Now without a host, Parallax is defeated

17:01by the entire Green Lantern Corps, while

17:03Sinestro takes the opportunity to

17:04escape. This time, Parallax is

17:06imprisoned somewhere else, not in the

17:08Central Power Battery. On the way back

17:10to Earth, Hal and Carol talk about their

17:12relationship and are both about to agree

17:14to try to make it work as they are then

17:17intercepted by a woman named Miri Riam,

17:19who has a pink lantern ring. Carol

17:21Ferris is recruited into the Star

17:23Sapphires due to that big act of love

17:26that expelled Parallax. Both Hal and

17:28Carol then acknowledge that this is the

17:30end of their relationship. On the theme

17:32of love though, two Guardians, Ganthet

17:34and Sayd, fell in love with each other

17:36during this movie, which is strictly

17:37forbidden. So, as a consequence, we're

17:39kicked out of the Guardians. They set

17:41out to form their own Corps. Comic

17:43readers will know that that will be the

17:44Blue Lantern Corps. Batman: The Brave

17:46and the Bold follows up on World's

17:47Finest by introducing Dick Grayson, aka

17:50Robin, who is going to be 13 years old

17:52in this movie, debuting very young and

17:54also young enough so that in the future

17:56he could still be a member of the Teen

17:58Titans. As for the actor, there's only

18:01one true candidate, Brenton Thwaites,

18:03but he was 21 in 2011, which is just too

18:05old. Instead, I'll be doing something

18:07that I'm going to have to do for a lot

18:09of the Teen Titans fancasts. Dick will

18:11be played by Asa Butterfield, who would

18:13have been 13 during the filming of this

18:15movie and who was already an active

18:17actor during this time. Taking place

18:19exactly 1 year after The Night at the

18:21Circus, which we see in like a little

18:22bit of a montage, the movie begins with

18:24Batman being called to the GCPD by the

18:26Bat-Signal, but arriving with Robin,

18:28which shocks Gordon. This is Robin's

18:30debut. The case they're given involves a

18:32murder with a riddle attached to it. A

18:34lot of the story will be similar to The

18:36Batman, but slightly less dark and with

18:38a lot of detective scenes being more so

18:39focused on Robin, who tries to prove

18:42himself to his mentor. Actually, for all

18:44intents and purposes, Robin is the main

18:46character of this movie. Along the way,

18:48Batman and Robin also cross paths with

18:49the Penguin, who has taken over the

18:51criminal underworld with a large focus

18:52on the corruption within Gotham City,

18:54all very much like The Batman. However,

18:57a big difference is that the Riddler is

18:58played by Cory Michael Smith, like he

19:00was on Gotham, while also wearing a more

19:02comic-accurate Riddler design. After

19:04deciphering riddles here and there,

19:05which take them place to place and

19:07victim to victim, they soon learn that

19:09the next victim is going to be someone

19:10named Tony Zucco, who Dick learns is the

19:12man who killed his parents. Dick,

19:14however, proves his virtue by saving

19:16Zucco's life anyway. It's also very much

19:17focused on throughout the movie, mostly

19:19from Alfred's perspective, of how much

19:21more accustomed Dick is to this life,

19:23how much more well-adjusted he is

19:25compared to Batman. The ending of

19:27Riddler flooding Gotham also won't

19:28happen. The ending will be a lot more

19:29low-key. This Riddler will have a more

19:31clearly defined ego as he's extremely

19:34proud of his intelligence, much like in

19:35the Arkham games. Riddler reveals he

19:37discovered Batman's identity and

19:39threatens to tell everyone, but Batman

19:40and Robin see this as a bluff since his

19:42ego wouldn't allow himself to turn

19:44something only he was able to figure out

19:45into public knowledge so that everyone

19:47knows. At some point near the end, Robin

19:49manages to outsmart Nigma. Exactly how

19:51isn't it important, but this hits his

19:53ego so hard that it drives him mad

19:56having been outsmarted by a 13-year-old

19:58boy, not Batman, but Robin. His ego is

20:00shattered and he loses it, turning him

20:02into a more classic Riddler right as he

20:04sent to Arkham. The Flash, directed by

20:06Matthew Vaughn, stars Grant Gustin as an

20:08admittedly very young Barry Allen. Grant

20:11will have been just 20 when he films

20:13this movie, but it's not like we have

20:14any other better options. John Wesley

20:16Shipp is far too old and Ezra Miller is

20:17far too terrible. So, this world's Barry

20:19Allen will simply have to be a young

20:21one. The rest of the cast includes

20:23Candice Patton as Iris West, Jesse L.

20:25Martin as Police Captain Darryl Fry, not

20:27Joe West, a character that does not

20:29exist. Patrick Sabongui as Barry's

20:31supervisor David Singh, John Wesley

20:33Shipp as Henry Allen, and Michelle

20:34Harrison as Nora Allen. This movie tells

20:37Barry's origin, adapting the as of that

20:39point very recent comic The Flash:

20:41Rebirth. In fact, that's one of the

20:42reasons, alongside Grant Gustin's age,

20:44that we are only now getting around to

20:46The Flash. That version of Barry's

20:48origin didn't exist until 2009 and they

20:50didn't finish revealing everything until

20:52January 2010. Meaning, for this to work,

20:54they will have to begin writing the

20:55script before that final issue of The

20:57Flash: Rebirth and fast-track

20:59production, all leading to a late 2011

21:02release. And honestly, it's entirely

21:03possible, so why not? For maybe a bit of

21:05simplification, the story could also be

21:07considered a very condensed version of

21:08The Flash season 1, showing a young

21:10Barry witnessing his mother's murder at

21:12the hands of a speedster in yellow. His

21:14father goes to prison for the murder and

21:15Barry dedicates his life to proving his

21:17innocence, so he goes into forensic

21:18science. Thanks to his genius-level

21:20intellect, he managed to graduate high

21:22school at 16 and quickly entered

21:24college, which he recently graduated

21:25from. Now, he's a newly-employed

21:2720-year-old forensic scientist at the

21:29Central City Police Department, where he

21:31works alongside his adopted father,

21:33Police Captain Darryl Fry. More of the

21:35same beats are told from there. The

21:36Central City wing of Star Labs particle

21:38accelerator explodes in a thunderstorm,

21:40creating a lightning bolt that hits

21:42Barry in his lab. This would later be

21:43revealed to have been intentionally done

21:45by the head of Star Labs, a man named

21:46Harrison Wells, who's soon revealed to

21:48be Eobard Thawne. Having killed Nora

21:50because he failed to kill the child

21:52Barry and thus being stuck in the past.

21:54A lot of elements that are the exact

21:55same as The Flash season 1. Others are

21:57definitely different. Barry's coma lasts

22:00just 1 month and he tests his powers by

22:01himself, being quickly forced into

22:03action to save Central City from a group

22:05of criminals who got powers themselves,

22:07the Rogues. Meanwhile, cub reporter Iris

22:09West investigates Star Labs on the hunch

22:12they sabotaged the accelerator on

22:14purpose. Iris and Barry do not have a

22:16past together. During the movie, Barry

22:17visits his father in prison, gets his

22:19ass kicked by the Rogues, although they

22:20don't kill him because of their code, is

22:22reminded of the man in yellow when he

22:23sees his own reflection running past a

22:25lake, which prompts him to investigate

22:26Star Labs himself, [music] meeting Iris

22:29along the way. Together, they question

22:30Wells. Then, as Flash and Iris leave

22:32Star Labs, they're attacked by another

22:34speedster dressed in yellow, who

22:36absolutely destroys Barry and then

22:38leaves. Iris then finds the beaten Flash

22:40and takes him to her house to help him

22:41recover. There, she finds out his

22:43identity and actually also kiss for the

22:45first time. Flash then has a rematch

22:46with the Rogues, now with full

22:47determination and a much better

22:49understanding of his abilities and more

22:50experience. Barry then learns how to

22:52phase, using this ability to defeat

22:54them, pushing his speed limit in the

22:55process, which prompts Thawne to show up

22:57again. He beats Barry up yet again,

22:59while also taunting him and revealing to

23:01him his identity. Then, Thawne leaves.

23:03Barry, talking to Iris, comes to realize

23:05there was another person that night, the

23:07man who saved his life, a speedster

23:09wearing red. Initially assuming it was a

23:11different Flash and he was

23:13subconsciously inspired by him. This all

23:15leads to a final showdown, where Thawne

23:17shows up yet again and drags Barry to

23:18some random park. Then explaining to

23:20Barry that this is where Barry took his

23:22spotlight, where he exposed him to the

23:23world. Thawne unmasks himself to reveal

23:26Harrison Wells, explaining he killed

23:27Barry's mother as a way to get rid of

23:29The Flash after failing to kill the

23:30young Barry, which then did cause The

23:32Flash of the future to disappear. It's

23:34here that Barry learns about the time

23:36travel of it all. After all this time,

23:38Barry is now fast enough and has

23:39generated enough speed force that Thawne

23:42could finally kill him and return

23:43[music] to his time. They fight and

23:45Barry is still outmatched until finally

23:47their fight pushes Barry into the Speed

23:48Force, leaving Thawne behind. Seconds

23:51Barry returns in a new costume and much

23:54more power and defeats Thawne, revealing

23:56to Thawne that he just returned from the

23:5725th century. We see in a montage that

24:00Barry was stuck there. He met The Flash

24:02of that time, learned he was faking

24:03crimes to be a hero and exposed him

24:05before finding out that he is Eobard

24:07Thawne. Barry then manages to time

24:09travel back to the present. Meaning,

24:11everything Thawne has done for the past

24:13decade was all to lead up to causing his

24:15own demise and that Barry disappeared in

24:17the past on purpose. After all this,

24:19Central City builds a prison for the

24:21metahumans called Iron Heights, where

24:22Thawne and the Rogues are held. Then, as

24:25thanks to their hero, Central City

24:26announces construction on a Flash

24:28Museum. That brings us to the final year

2012

24:30of chapter 1, 2012, which starts with

24:33the movie the chapter was leading up to,

24:35Justice League, directed also by Brad

24:37Bird like World's Finest was and

24:38bringing together all the heroes of

24:40chapter 1, while also introducing the

24:41Martian Manhunter, adapting the original

24:44Justice League founding members lineup.

24:46J'onn J'onzz is played by David Harewood

24:48and his origin connects directly to the

24:49reason for the Justice League coming

24:51together. Like it was in the animated

24:52series, Mars is invaded by an army of

24:55robots led by Brainiac. Because the

24:57robots and the Martians have no mind to

24:59read, they were caught completely

25:00unawares. Brainiac wipes out the Green

25:02Martians and shrinks their biggest city

25:04to add to his collection. J'onn J'onzz,

25:06however, survives and manages to sneak

25:08aboard Brainiac's ship without being

25:09noticed as Brainiac sets his sights on a

25:12new target, Earth. This version of

25:14Brainiac is played by Blake Ritson like

25:16he was on Krypton and is an organic

25:18being from Colu who became obsessed with

25:21gaining knowledge. Soon, Hal Jordan

25:23becomes aware of the attack on Mars, but

25:25does arrive too late. Hal attacks

25:27Brainiac just outside of Mars's

25:29atmosphere, but is entirely overwhelmed.

25:31He's joined by the Martian Manhunter,

25:33but that still isn't enough. Hal decides

25:35to retreat back to Earth, taking J'onn

25:37with him. Brainiac is a little bit

25:38slower. He'll take a lot longer to get

25:40there. First, he asks for backup from

25:42the Corps, but none are available.

25:44Instead, he decides to recruit the

25:46heroes of Earth. While Brainiac sends

25:48drones to some of Earth's biggest

25:49cities, on Themyscira, Diana gets a

25:51vision of Man's World, seeing that she

25:53is needed in a coming crisis. She leaves

25:56Paradise once again. In Central City,

25:58Flash easily defeats Captain Boomerang

26:00before meeting Iris, who he has been

26:01dating for a year, who introduces him to

26:03her nephew Wally, played by the at the

26:05time 15-year-old KJ Apa. In Metropolis,

26:08Clark and Lois are planning their

26:09wedding when a Brainiac drone lands in

26:11the city center. Superman goes to

26:13investigate, but is attacked by the

26:15drones. Back in Gotham, Batman and Robin

26:17defeat Killer Croc when a drone lands

26:19there as well. Unlike Superman, Batman

26:21and Robin are completely overwhelmed.

26:23That is, until Green Lantern and Martian

26:25Manhunter show up to recruit him,

26:26starting with Batman because of the

26:28legends surrounding him. Hal is shocked

26:30to find out that Batman is powerless.

26:32[music] Hal, J'onn, Batman, and Robin

26:34destroy the robots and then investigate

26:36the drone. Flash sees Superman's fight

26:38on the news and shows up to help,

26:39helping Superman to destroy all the

26:41robots and then also investigate the

26:43drone. A drone also comes from Atlantis

26:45as well, also technically one of Earth's

26:47biggest cities. The robots are not quite

26:49equipped for underwater combat, though,

26:51Aquaman and a few other Atlanteans

26:53easily defeat them before learning of

26:55all the other drones. Aquaman then heads

26:57to the surface. While investigating the

26:59drones, Superman, Green Lantern, and

27:00Batman are all infected with nanotech

27:03that infects their minds, taking control

27:04of them and turning them against the

27:06other heroes. Superman chases The Flash,

27:08Hal and J'onn fight, while Robin tries

27:10his hardest to fend off Batman. The

27:13young and inexperienced Flash is not

27:15able to defend himself, but is instead

27:17saved by Wonder Woman. Together, Flash

27:19and Wonder Woman are very able to stand

27:21up to Superman. Batman, however, manages

27:24to break through the programming as he

27:25was just about to kill Robin. While

27:27Hal's immense willpower is what saves

27:29him, Superman, however, was infected

27:31with double the nanobots, so he can't

27:33quite fight it off. When the heroes who

27:35are in Gotham find out about the fight

27:37between Flash and Wonder Woman and

27:38Superman in Metropolis, they decide to

27:40go join. While Robin stays behind in

27:42Gotham, J'onn joins the fight while

27:44Batman takes Hal to Lois, bringing her

27:46to Superman to get him to break through

27:47the programming, which fully works. The

27:50heroes then compare notes. Superman, as

27:52it turns out, recognizes Brainiac,

27:54having learned from his AI father that

27:55while Krypton's destruction was

27:57inevitable, it was sped up by someone

27:58named Brainiac who shrunk and bottled

28:00the city of Kandor, which caused the

28:02already unstable planet Krypton to

28:04explode. Purposefully so, as Brainiac

28:06wants to collect all knowledge and make

28:08it so that no new knowledge can be

28:10created on each planet. With Brainiac on

28:12his way, the heroes decide to join

28:14forces to stop him. They are soon joined

28:16by Aquaman. The heroes decide the best

28:18course of action is a preemptive attack

28:20on Brainiac's ship. The Justice League,

28:22as I'll refer to them from now on, fly

28:24up to meet Brainiac halfway and

28:26infiltrate his ship. This turns out to

28:28have been Brainiac's plan all along as

28:30the League are led into a trap. Brainiac

28:32let J'onn live and he let J'onn aboard

28:34his ship and then also implanted the

28:36idea in his mind to bring Earth's heroes

28:38to his ship because he knew a full-on

28:40attack on Earth had an unacceptable 15%

28:42chance to end in his defeat because of

28:44Earth's many heroes. As the League are

28:46trapped, Brainiac's ship finally makes

28:48it to Earth and he unleashes a full

28:50force invasion, targeting Metropolis as

28:53the city he plans to shrink. Brainiac

28:55failed to account for the magic of

28:56Aquaman's trident, which he uses to

28:58break them out of their trap. The League

29:00head to Metropolis to save the day,

29:02while Batman remains on the ship to look

29:04for something. Batman finds the bottled

29:06city of Kandor and races to get it to

29:08Brainiac. Superman takes Brainiac on

29:10one-on-one. Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and

29:12J'onn J'onzz fight off an army of

29:14drones, while Hal and Barry try to

29:15destroy the machine Brainiac put around

29:17Metropolis to shrink it. But

29:19unfortunately, they all fail. Metropolis

29:21gets shrunk down with most of the heroes

29:23inside it, which also angers Superman to

29:25the point where he pushes his fight with

29:27Brainiac too far away from Batman to

29:29help and Brainiac wins the fight,

29:31stabbing Superman with a kryptonite

29:33dagger. He flaunts Superman's dead body

29:35in front of the people of Earth.

29:37Brainiac has won. He got Metropolis and

29:39now sets out to destroy the rest of

29:41Earth, easily hacking through Earth's

29:42defenses and unleashing all of Earth's

29:44nukes back on Earth. As all hope seems

29:46lost, The Flash does something he was

29:49not able to do since the events of his

29:51movie, time travel. This time doing it a

29:53bit differently, rewinding time rather

29:55than going back in time. Barry rewinds

29:57time to the moment the Justice League

29:59came to Earth, changing things up a bit.

30:01He takes temporary command, telling the

30:03League they don't need to defeat

30:04Brainiac, just distract him, but they're

30:06going to need Superman to destroy the

30:08shrinking machine. This time, Superman

30:10and Flash go to destroy the machine.

30:12Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter

30:13fight Brainiac, while Wonder Woman and

30:15Aquaman fight the drones. Superman and

30:17Flash do destroy the machine and join in

30:19on the fight against the drones as well.

30:21Brainiac does overwhelm Hal and J'onn,

30:24but then Batman shows up, releasing an

30:25army of tiny Kryptonians from Kandor on

30:28Brainiac, who infect him like a disease,

30:30destroying him from the inside. The

30:32Kandorians, however, are weakened by the

30:34Kryptonite Brainiac was carrying, so

30:36they return to Kandor, now never able to

30:39leave again, or they will die.

30:40Unfortunately, Brainiac reroutes his

30:42consciousness into a clone of himself on

30:44a ship, leading into a little bit of a

30:46more simple fight. Brainiac and a mostly

30:49destroyed army of his drones facing off

30:51against the seven members of the Justice

30:53League, complete with a team-up shot.

30:55The drones are all destroyed. Brainiac

30:57is defeated and captured rather than

30:58destroyed to prevent another rerouting.

31:00Superman takes the city of Kandor and

31:02all other shrunken cities to the

31:04Fortress of Solitude and promises to

31:06somehow find a way to enlarge them. The

31:08Justice League officially form and

31:10renovate Brainiac's ship a bit, changing

31:12the shape a bit, ridding it of any

31:13Brainiac memorabilia, and turning it

31:15into a base of operations they call the

31:17Watchtower for the newly founded Justice

31:20League. Superman and Lois get married.

31:21Diana decides to remain in Man's World,

31:23living in Washington, D.C., and working

31:25as the official ambassador to

31:27Themyscira. Martian Manhunter finally

31:29finds the time to grieve. Hal Jordan

31:31tells the Guardians about all the

31:32threats Earth has faced lately,

31:33convincing them that he could use some

31:35backup, and the Guardians agree,

31:37explaining that they're going to send a

31:39second Lantern ring to someone in Sector

31:412814. Flash returns to Central City to

31:44find out that Wally is in the hospital,

31:45having been hit by a bolt of lightning

31:47during the invasion. In the next Flash

31:49movie, it's going to be revealed that

31:51Barry rewinding time caused a bit of a

31:53disturbance in the Speed Force that

31:54unleashed a bit of Speed Force energy

31:56that was attracted to Iris West due to

31:59it being created by Barry, but Wally got

32:01in the way and got hit instead. The

32:03chapter is not over quite yet. The final

32:05movie, acting as a sort of epilogue to

32:07the chapter, is Green Arrow, starring

32:09Stephen Amell. Green Arrow focuses

32:11entirely on Oliver's origin, setting

32:13itself apart from the other movies in

32:14this chapter by taking place entirely on

32:16an island. Taking [music] main

32:18inspiration from Green Arrow: Year One,

32:20spoiled trust fund billionaire Oliver

32:22Queen's ship capsizes and he washes

32:24ashore a deserted island alongside his

32:26father. His father, however, soon dies.

32:29Oliver struggles to survive, slowly but

32:31surely breaking to the point of killing

32:33small animals to eat. He eventually

32:35decides to make a bow and arrow to use

32:37his archery skills he developed as a kid

32:39to hunt. Finally venturing out of the

32:41little spot in his island he was stuck

32:43in, he soon finds out that the island is

32:45not quite as deserted as he thought.

32:46There's an entire drug operation on this

32:48island led by a woman named China White.

32:51Oliver then meets a man named Scimitar,

32:53who reveals that the drugs made on this

32:55island are meant to fund a coup in his

32:56homeland of Vlatava and is led by a man

32:58named Count Werner Zytle, or Count

33:00Vertigo. Scimitar teaches Oliver how to

33:02fight, while Oliver further practices

33:04his bow and arrow skills, proving to be

33:06an absolute natural. They do this with

33:08the goal of taking down the drug

33:09operation, except Oliver's real goal is

33:12to steal a boat or a plane and simply

33:14escape the island. Even after tells him

33:17that Vertigo plans to kill all of the

33:19slaves working on the drug operation

33:21after they no longer need them. Oliver

33:23and Scimitar infiltrate the drug

33:24operation, destroying some of it and

33:25coming to combat with China White and

33:27also Count Vertigo, who proves to be too

33:29formidable a threat, as he has

33:32vertigo-inducing powers. They take both

33:34of them hostage, but kill Scimitar in

33:36front of Oliver, while Oliver they don't

33:37kill because they recognize as Oliver

33:40Queen, who they take captive with the

33:41goal of leveraging his life for more

33:43money to fund the coup. They've taken an

33:45unusual direction to keeping him

33:46captive, getting him addicted to the

33:48heroin they make. While China and

33:50Vertigo continue to plan out their next

33:52move, Oliver proves to be far more

33:54strong-willed than they expected, going

33:56through torturous withdrawal to break

33:58through the addiction. He puts together

34:00what he can to create a camouflage suit,

34:02creates a new bow and arrow, and tries

34:03again. This time taking a more stealthy

34:05approach to things. He kills every

34:08henchman, defeats China White in a

34:10fight, and finally makes his way to

34:11Count Vertigo. Vertigo uses his power

34:13against Oliver, but Oliver proves to

34:15have developed a resistance after having

34:17kicked his addiction. Vertigo offers

34:19Oliver a way off the island if he leaves

34:21them alone, but Oliver decides to put

34:22the lives of the others on the island

34:24ahead of his own and kills Vertigo. A

34:26few months later, a fishing boat

34:28floating near the island sees a big

34:30fire. Everyone is rescued, Oliver

34:31returns to Star City and reunites with

34:34his mother, and decides to do in his

34:36city exactly what he did on the island,

34:38save innocents from the powerful men

34:40exploiting them. Oliver becomes the

34:42Green Arrow, starting his career and

34:44this is his first night out, by stopping

34:46a mugging by a kid played by the at the

34:48time 15-year-old Jake Austin Walker.

34:51This kid is Roy Harper, and that is the

34:54end of part one. Stay tuned for part

34:56two. This video, I'll be covering

2013

34:58chapter two, spanning the years 2013 to

35:012015 and containing nine movies of its

35:04own. The first movie of 2013 and the

35:06beginning of chapter two is Swamp Thing,

35:08directed by James Mangold. It's a

35:10standalone film launching a

35:12of R-rated Vertigo-based DC movies that

35:14eventually will culminate in Justice

35:16League Dark. The film exists in its own

35:17universe, separate from the Justice

35:19League, and serves as a reimagining of

35:21the 2019 Swamp Thing TV series with a

35:24more polished and cinematic approach.

35:26Andy Bean plays Alec Holland, while

35:28Swamp Thing is created using Derek

35:30Mears's voice and motion capture.

35:32Crystal Reed stars as Abby Arcane, and

35:35Henderson Wade plays her husband, Matt

35:37Cable. The story centers on Abby Arcane

35:39as she investigates a deadly swamp-born

35:41virus in Marais, Louisiana. Her work

35:43leads her to encounter Swamp Thing, a

35:45monstrous but sentient who believes that

35:47he is Alec Holland, a scientist who

35:50nearly died in the swamp. Alec was

35:51conducting experiments involving plant

35:53regeneration in the swamp, but an

35:55accident caused him to drown. However,

35:57he was saved by a mystical force

35:58connected to what is known as the Green.

36:00Alec's consciousness was then

36:01transferred to the swamp, creating Swamp

36:04Thing. At some point in the movie, Swamp

36:05Thing discovers Alec's dead body,

36:07realizing that he is not Alec reborn,

36:08but a new entity created from Alec's

36:10essence. This shakes him to his core,

36:13but at the same time, he slowly bonds

36:15with Abby Arcane, who is then revealed

36:17to have been sent to the swamp by her

36:18father, Anton Arcane, who is played by

36:21Charles Dance and is the avatar of the

36:23Black, the force of death and the

36:25opposite of the Green, which is the

36:26force of life. None of this was known to

36:28Abby, though. She was sent to the swamp

36:29by Anton to weaken and distract Swamp

36:32Thing, paving the way for the Black to

36:33take over. Then, as Abby and Swamp Thing

36:35grow closer and even fall in love, she

36:37becomes aware of Anton's true intentions

36:40and sides with Swamp Thing. The

36:42climactic battle pits Swamp Thing

36:43against Anton, who uses his power to

36:45unleash devastation. Anton kills Matt

36:48Cable, Abby's husband, as a warning of

36:50what the Black is capable of. However,

36:52Anton is not defeated in the end.

36:54Instead, he just retreats, leaving the

36:56eternal struggle between life and death

36:58unresolved. Swamp Thing reflects on the

37:00inevitability of death's victory,

37:02stating his mission is not to defeat the

37:04Black, but to ensure life continues as

37:06long as possible. With her husband now

37:08dead, her father the avatar of the

37:09death, and having fallen in love with

37:11Swamp Thing, Abby decides to remain in

37:13the swamp. In a post-credit scene, John

37:14Constantine is seen, played by Matt

37:16Ryan, in a dingy apartment pouring

37:18whiskey and lighting a cigarette as he

37:20watches the news report about strange

37:22occurrences in Marais. This teases

37:24Constantine as the next chapter in the

37:26Vertigo universe, where Swamp Thing will

37:28also make an appearance. As I said,

37:30Swamp Thing would take place on another

37:31world. However, that wouldn't be

37:32revealed until a bit later in the saga.

37:34The saga will now start jumping

37:36headfirst into the multiverse, however,

37:38with the second Flash movie titled The

37:40Flash of Two Worlds. Now would be a good

37:42time to say that the first three

37:43chapters of the DC Movie Universe will

37:45come together to form the Crisis

37:47Chronicles, which I changed from saga

37:49because, I don't know, I like it better.

37:51I want it to be different from the MCU,

37:52and it's alliteration. The Flash of Two

37:55Worlds is directed by Matthew Vaughn,

37:57like its predecessor, and set a year

37:58after the events of Justice League. Like

38:00I mentioned in the previous video, this

38:02movie would reveal that Wally's

38:03transformation wasn't entirely

38:05accidental. Barry's time reversal during

38:07Brainiac's invasion caused a disturbance

38:09in the Speed Force that created a

38:10lightning bolt initially meant for Iris

38:12West, but Wally intercepted it. It'll

38:14later be revealed that other things were

38:16caused by this disturbance as well.

38:18Wally, now Kid Flash, is a natural

38:20superhero, but noticeably slower than

38:22Barry. The story opens with Barry trying

38:23to bond with Wally, who has moved in

38:25with his aunt to escape his abusive

38:27home. Their relationship as Flash and

38:29Kid Flash is strong, but their personal

38:31relationship isn't really. As Barry

38:33prepares to then reveal his identity to

38:35Wally, Central City is attacked by

38:37Doctor Alchemy. The Flashes confront

38:39him, and during the battle, the Speed

38:40Force energy from Barry and Wally reacts

38:42with Alchemy's stone, which will later

38:44be revealed to be known as the

38:45Philosopher's Stone, causing Barry to

38:47vibrate uncontrollably and then vanish.

38:50Barry finds himself in an alternate

38:52version of his city, which in this world

38:54is called Keystone City, and later is

38:57revealed that he made his way to

38:58Earth-Two, a retrofuturistic world with

39:00its own Flash, Jay Garrick, played by

39:02John Wesley Shipp, looking very similar

39:04to Barry's father. Jay is a 90-year-old

39:07veteran with 70 years of superhero

39:09experience, having been a member of the

39:11Justice Society of America during World

39:12War II, a team who all cameo in this

39:15movie, but are kept in the shadows so as

39:17to not to need to cast them just yet.

39:19Barry and Jay put their minds together

39:21to study the multiverse and find a way

39:22for Barry to return to Earth-One.

39:24However, they are being watched by Jay's

39:26longtime arch-enemy, Clifford DeVoe, aka

39:28The Thinker, played by Neil Sandilands.

39:30A montage shows Jay and DeVoe's

39:32decades-long rivalry. DeVoe, driven mad

39:34by a cloning process that kept him

39:36young, learns of the multiverse and

39:37devises a plan to trap the Flashes while

39:40opening a portal to Earth-One. He seeks

39:42the Philosopher Stone held by Earth 1's

39:44Dr. Alchemy, believing it holds the key

39:46to ultimate power. The Stone is revealed

39:48to have originated on Earth 2, used by

39:51Earth 2's Dr. Alchemy, known as Curtis

39:53Engstrom, and is a Speed Force

39:54construct. The Thinker tried to steal it

39:56from Dr. Alchemy in the past, but never

39:58succeeded. And just like Wally getting

40:00powers, the Stone is revealed to have

40:02been brought to Earth 1 due to Barry's

40:04Speed Force disturbance. While all of

40:06this is happening, Wally is the main

40:07character of his own side storyline.

40:09While he struggles to take on Dr.

40:11Alchemy and maintain order in Central

40:13City, which falls into chaos as other

40:15rogues take advantage of the Flash's

40:17absence. After struggling for a while

40:19and with encouragement from his aunt

40:21Iris, Wally steps up and defeats Dr.

40:23Alchemy, but the victory is short-lived

40:25as it's just then that the Thinker steps

40:27through a portal and arrives, taking the

40:29Stone and using its power to drain the

40:31abilities of all metahumans in the near

40:33area. Now godlike, Devoe sets out to

40:36conquer Earth 1. Wally's Speed Force

40:38connection saves him from losing his

40:40powers because the Philosopher Stone is

40:42also connected to the Speed Force, but

40:44he is still overwhelmed by Devoe's

40:45power. On Earth 2, the Shade, played by

40:48Jonathan Cake, who initially helped

40:49Devoe to capture the Flash, has a change

40:52of heart and frees Barry and Jay.

40:54Luckily, however, while they were

40:55captured, the two Flashes realize how

40:57they can get Barry back to Earth 1 by

40:58vibrating at Earth 1's natural

41:00frequency, which they both do, arriving

41:02just in time to save Wally from being

41:04killed by the Thinker. The final battle

41:06pits Barry, Wally, and Jay against the

41:09Thinker in an epic showdown. Wally, Jay,

41:11and Barry each have their little moments

41:13and the battle ends with the destruction

41:14of the Philosopher Stone and then

41:16Devoe's death. The metahumans do,

41:18however, remain powerless and mostly

41:20retire. However, Captain Cold and

41:22Heatwave salvage parts of Devoe's chair

41:25to create weapons for future use. Jay

41:27returns to Earth 2, but a link has now

41:29been established between the universes,

41:31allowing speedsters to travel freely.

41:33Barry reveals his identity to Wally,

41:35strengthening their bond, and reunites

41:37with Iris. In a post-credit scene, the

41:39multiverse ripple effects reach Earth 3

41:42where Johnny Quick, played by Ezra

41:44Miller, receives a vision of his world's

41:46destruction. Bringing 2013 to an end is

41:49a movie known as The Trinity, which

41:51serves as a shared sequel to the Batman,

41:53Superman, Wonder Woman, The World's

41:54Finest, and kind of the Justice League

41:56franchises, bringing back Superman, the

41:58Man of Steel's director Joe Johnston to

42:00direct. The movie begins in Gotham,

42:02where Batman has upgraded to his Batman

42:04v Superman suit and has taken on a

42:06second sidekick, Batgirl, a determined

42:0815-year-old played by Abigail Cohen, who

42:10forced her way into the Bat Family.

42:12Robin is also 15 years old, and he and

42:14Batgirl share a flurry competitive

42:16dynamic. After defeating the Scarecrow,

42:19the Bat Family investigates a mysterious

42:21crash in the Gotham River, discovering a

42:23pod bearing Superman's symbol. The pod

42:25opens to reveal a young blonde woman

42:27played by Melissa Benoist, who we will

42:28later learn is Kara Zor-El, Superman's

42:31cousin. She attacks the Bat trio, but

42:32Batman evens the playing field by

42:34whipping out kryptonite. Then Superman

42:36arrives, calms Kara using Kryptonian

42:38speech, and takes her to the Fortress of

42:40Solitude, where Batman insists on

42:42accompanying them to investigate.

42:44Meanwhile, Wonder Woman is summoned to

42:45the Watchtower by the Martian Manhunter,

42:47told that her mother requested a

42:48meeting. Instead, when she gets to the

42:51meeting location, she's ambushed by the

42:53Female Furies Bernadeth, Lashina, Mad

42:55Harriet, Stompa, and Fury. It's close,

42:58but Diana is ultimately defeated and

43:00taken to Apokolips. Fury is played by

43:02Naomi Scott and it will be revealed to

43:04be a different important DC character

43:06later on. As Clark introduces Kara to

43:08his family and shows her Earth's beauty,

43:10Batman, remaining in the Fortress of

43:12Solitude with help from Jor-El,

43:13discovers that Kara's pod emits energy

43:16from what Jor-El knows as Apokolips.

43:18Jor-El warns of Darkseid, played by Ray

43:21Porter, and in the New Gods. Just as Jon

43:24contacts Batman to reveal Diana's

43:25capture, Batman warns Clark, who is back

43:27in Smallville, which exposes Kara, who

43:29then attacks Superman with a red sun

43:31blaster, incapacitating him and taking

43:34him to Apokolips. Later, it'll be

43:35revealed that she was supposed to do

43:36that the second she got there, but was

43:38too much intrigued by Earth and the fact

43:40that her cousin lived there. On route to

43:42Apokolips, Kara reveals to Clark that

43:44her ship got stuck in stasis and that

43:46she was rescued by Darkseid, becoming

43:48his loyal enforcer and now is the leader

43:50of the Female Furies. Kara reveals

43:52Darkseid's interest in Superman and

43:54Wonder Woman, who he perceives as

43:56Earth's strongest warriors, which is why

43:58he kidnapped both of them. After

44:00Superman was attacked and kidnapped,

44:02Batman decided to follow in a Kryptonian

44:04ship from the Fortress of Solitude,

44:06watching from the shadows as Superman

44:08and Diana are subjected to a device

44:10designed to simulate the Anti-Life

44:12Equation on a micro scale, basically

44:13meant to strip them of their free will.

44:15Meanwhile, Kara wrestles with her

44:17experiences on Earth, which she enjoyed

44:19like a lot, and then she is torn between

44:21her bond with Clark and her loyalty to

44:24Darkseid. Batman struggles too, but does

44:26manage to take down a few parademon

44:28guards and frees Diana, but they are

44:30both attacked by Kara before they're

44:31able to free Superman. Diana and Batman

44:33face Kara until Superman, now

44:35mind-controlled, intervenes. [music]

44:37Seeing Superman attack his allies shakes

44:39Diana's faith in Darkseid, prompting her

44:41to help Batman and Diana escape.

44:43Superman then battles Kara long enough

44:45for Batman's contingency plan to kick

44:47in. Batgirl, Robin, Aquaman, and the

44:49Martian Manhunter arrive with a

44:50Kryptonian ship and tech, including an

44:53anti-Superman suit for Batman. As the

44:55heroes regroup, Superman defeats Kara

44:57and delivers her to Darkseid, who

44:59sentences her to death for treason.

45:01Before her execution, however, the team

45:03intervenes. Aquaman, Martian Manhunter,

45:05Batgirl, and Robin all fight a bunch of

45:07parademons. Wonder Woman faces off

45:09against the Furies by herself again,

45:10this time locking in, and Batman fights

45:13Superman. Kara, meanwhile, regains her

45:15strength and escapes from her hold and

45:17joins the fight against Darkseid, who

45:19does easily overpower her and the team.

45:22Batman breaks through Superman's

45:23programming by reminding him of Kara's

45:26impending death, allowing Superman to

45:28recover and attack Darkseid. Wonder

45:30Woman defeats the Female Furies, but

45:32learns of Fury's true identity. She is

45:35Darkseid's daughter with an Amazonian

45:37named Magala. Diana convinces Fury to

45:39embrace her Themysciran heritage and

45:41fight for Earth. After interrogating one

45:43of the Female Furies, Batman locates

45:45Apokolips's Hellspore Armory, activating

45:47it to threaten the planet's destruction.

45:50Unlike in the real world movie

45:51Superman/Batman: Apokolips, Darkseid

45:53does call Batman's bluff, allowing for

45:56the triggering of the Hellspores. While

45:58Darkseid then diverts his forces to

45:59contain the destruction, the heroes

46:01escape, having dealt a huge blow to

46:03Darkseid and Apokolips, setting them

46:05back by years. On the relatively long

46:08journey back to Earth, Kara bonds with

46:10Batgirl and Superman and prepares for

46:13life on Earth. Fury renames herself to

46:15Donna Troy, pledging loyalty to Diana

46:17and the Amazons, and even bonds a bit

46:20with Robin. The film then closes with

46:22Darkseid vowing vengeance. His forces

46:24scattered, but planning to return

46:26stronger than ever. Joseph Kosinski

46:28returns to the Green Lantern franchise,

2014

46:30directing Green Lantern: War of Light,

46:32which begins 2014 with an epic tale of

46:34intergalactic conflict. The film focuses

46:36on an experienced Hal Jordan, been a

46:39Green Lantern for 6 years now, as well

46:41as John Stewart, who was recruited

46:43shortly after the events of Justice

46:44League and now has a little bit under 2

46:46years of experience. However, he is a

46:48bit older than Hal, so they have a bit

46:50of a unique dynamic where they are

46:51actually more so equals. The story picks

46:54up after Emerald Knights, revealing that

46:55Atrocitus escaped during Parallax's

46:57attack on Oa and has since formed the

46:59Red Lantern Corps, recruiting fearsome

47:01allies like Dex-Starr, a cat from Earth,

47:03as well as a few others. The Red Lantern

47:05Corps aren't really an entire corps,

47:07they're more so a squad than anything.

47:09Meanwhile, Ganthet and Sayd, cast out of

47:11the Guardians, establish the Blue

47:12Lantern Corps, which is also more of a

47:14squad with members like Saint Walker,

47:16Brother Warth, and a few others, whose

47:18powers are mostly defensive, but can

47:20amplify Green Lanterns in their

47:22vicinity. Alongside the Reds and Blues,

47:24you have the Star Sapphires, introduced

47:26earlier, and the expanding Sinestro

47:28Corps, which is now the same size as the

47:30Green Lantern Corps, all set the stage

47:32for the War of Light, mostly based off

47:34of the Sinestro Corps War storyline, the

47:37film's central conflict. Back on Earth,

47:39Hal Jordan and John Stewart defeat Dr.

47:41Polaris before being summoned to Oa to

47:42address the growing threat of the

47:44Sinestro Corps. Sinestro has been

47:46working with the Weaponers of Qward and

47:48the shadowy figure from the last movie,

47:49revealed in this movie to be named

47:51Mobius and shown fully, wearing his

47:54armor and voiced by a placeholder actor

47:56for now. They create dozens of yellow

47:58rings, recruiting killers from across

48:00the galaxy. And then, as political

48:02intrigue unfolds, Hal Jordan and Katma

48:05Tui attempt to rally allies in the

48:08coming war. They fail to secure the full

48:10support of the Star Sapphires, gaining

48:11only Carol Ferris, while Sinestro allies

48:14with Atrocitus. Along the way, John and

48:16Katma fall in love. All of this comes

48:19together to build to a massive space

48:20battle between the Greens and Blues

48:22against the Yellows and Reds. The Green

48:24Lantern Corps struggles due to their

48:25no-kill rule, forcing the Guardians to

48:27rewrite the Book of Oa to authorize

48:29lethal force. This plays into Sinestro

48:32and Atrocitus's plans, albeit for

48:35completely different reasons. Atrocitus

48:37seeks to fulfill the Blackest Night

48:39prophecy, while Sinestro believes the

48:41Corps needs this evolution. Their

48:43conflicting goals lead to a falling out

48:45and a brutal duel, ending with Sinestro

48:47killing Atrocitus. Driven by his hatred

48:49for Sinestro, Hal Jordan attacks him in

48:51a fierce one-on-one battle that is

48:53evenly matched until the Blue Lantern

48:55Saint Walker shows up to amplify Hal's

48:57powers, only to immediately be killed by

48:59Sinestro. Instead of flying off to find

49:02some new recruit, Saint's blue ring

49:03flies onto Hal, making him the first

49:05person to wield two rings at the same

49:07time, one green and one blue. With this

49:10amplified powers, Hal defeats Sinestro,

49:12but cannot kill him due to the blue

49:14ring's influence as that ring does still

49:16have the no authorized killing rule.

49:19Instead, Sinestro is sentenced to death

49:21on Oa, which is executed in dramatic

49:23fashion. But his yellow ring then flies

49:26off to find a new host in his daughter

49:28Soranik Natu, whom he had secretly

49:30prepared to lead his Corps. Along the

49:32way, the battle costs the lives of major

49:34Green Lanterns, including Ch'p, Salaak,

49:36Chaselon, and Kilowog Tui, intensifying

49:39John's hatred for Atrocitus as in the

49:41movie they form a bit of a rivalry

49:43before Atrocitus is then killed by

49:45Sinestro. In the aftermath of the War of

49:47Light, Atrocitus got exactly what he

49:48wanted, setting the stage for the

49:50Blackest Night. Cutting to Earth, the

49:51grave of William Hand is shown and his

49:54hand emerges from the ground. An end

49:56credit scene reveals the Guardians

49:57preparation for the Blackest Night as

49:59they authorize a third Lantern per

50:01sector with the new ring flying off to

50:03recruit a mysterious new member on

50:05Earth. Shazam follows in Swamp Thing's

50:08footsteps, set in the alternate universe

50:10of Earth 5 and while it retains the

50:12basic plot of the real world movie, it

50:14is also very, very different. The lead

50:16role of Shazam is recast because I think

50:19it wasn't really a great casting with

50:21Tyler Hoechlin who later proved his

50:22superhero chops as the relatively

50:24similar feeling character Superman.

50:27Billy Batson, played by a younger Asher

50:29Angel, is 12 instead of 15, making him

50:31more of an actual child rather than a

50:33teenager. Mark Strong is replaced by Jon

50:35Cryer as the main villain Doctor Savanna

50:38to avoid actor overlap within the DCMU.

50:40The story would be set in Fawcett City

50:43rather than Philadelphia because I like

50:44it when DC is fictional and Billy's

50:47foster family is a lot smaller including

50:49just Mary who is 15 and Freddy who is

50:5211. Both of the actors who played them

50:54in the real world movie will play them

50:55here as well which works because they

50:56were both active in 2014 as actors.

50:58Their superhero forms are also more

51:00consistent with the comics. Billy is

51:02Captain Marvel, Mary is Mary Marvel, and

51:04Freddy is Captain Marvel Junior. And the

51:06only one of them who transforms into a

51:08different person is Billy. The movie

51:10would boast a much needed higher budget

51:12and lead into brighter, more comic book

51:14inspired aesthetics creating an

51:15otherworldly feel. The tone is whimsical

51:18and vibrant staying true to Shazam's

51:20roots while allowing for greater

51:22immersion into the fantastical world of

51:24Earth 5 which I think totally should be

51:26similar to the Raimi Spider-Man movies

51:28which is why I actually think Sam Raimi

51:30would be the perfect person to direct

51:31this. The story and focus on Billy's

51:33mother, however, remains the same. Most

51:36things are kind of different. The second

51:38Green Arrow movie is also directed by

51:40Guy Ritchie and is called Green Arrow

51:42and Black Canary. Shifting focus to Star

51:44City as the first took place entirely on

51:46the island and beginning with Dinah

51:47Lance's origin. Orphaned as a teenager

51:49in Gotham City, Dinah is taken in by the

51:52League of Assassins and trained by

51:53Malcolm Merlyn becoming one of their

51:55most skilled operatives. As an adult,

51:57she's played by Katie Lotz. She is sent

51:59on a mission to Central City in 2011.

52:01During the mission, the particle

52:03accelerator explodes striking her while

52:05she screams granting her powerful sonic

52:07abilities. The League of Assassins

52:09obviously views this as an opportunity

52:11for a strong weapon but Dinah sees her

52:13powers as an opportunity to escape

52:15alongside Merlyn. But once she finds out

52:18his plans for Star City, she sets out to

52:20stop him. In Star City, Dinah becomes a

52:22vigilante known as the Black Canary

52:24specifically targeting Merlyn Global.

52:26Dinah intercepts an arms deal between

52:28Merlyn Global and Brick, a crime boss in

52:30Star City, which is where she meets

52:32Green Arrow and Arsenal. Arsenal being

52:34Roy Harper who was introduced at the end

52:36of the last movie was then taken in by

52:38Oliver and trained and debuted around a

52:40year ago. They stop the arms deal, take

52:42down Brick, and then go their separate

52:44ways but there is quick, obvious mutual

52:46attraction between Green Arrow and Black

52:48Canary. Meanwhile, since having returned

52:49to the island, Oliver has been trained

52:51by his mother to become the CEO of Queen

52:53Consolidated which goes through during

52:55this movie and that's where he meets

52:57Malcolm Merlyn. Dinah, meanwhile, hacks

53:00Merlyn's servers but then is ambushed by

53:01Green Arrow who tracked her. After a

53:03fight, they are attacked by somebody

53:05known as the Dark Archer who overwhelms

53:07them. But as it turns out, Arsenal was

53:09shadowing Oliver and managed to create a

53:11distraction to allow them to escape.

53:13Dinah escaping with a hard drive that

53:15she allows Oliver to look at as well as

53:17they go back to Oliver's base of

53:19operations known as the Arrowcave.

53:21[music] The hard drive reveals Merlyn's

53:22plot which is to destroy the Glades with

53:25an earthquake device but also it

53:27implicates Oliver's parents. Oliver

53:29confronts his mother who in that moment

53:30learns that he is the Green Arrow and

53:32she says that she only goes through with

53:34Merlyn's plans because of the threats

53:36that she knows that he would go through

53:38with because then she reveals to him

53:40that Merlyn sabotaged the Queen's Gambit

53:42causing it to sink causing Robert's

53:44death and Oliver being stranded on the

53:46island. Merlyn overhearing through a bug

53:48accelerates [music]

53:49his plan. With this now being personal

53:50for all three members of the newly

53:52formed Team Arrow for Roy because he's

53:54from the Glades, they go after him at

53:56Unidac Industries where he's going to

53:58take the earthquake device from but are

53:59ambushed by a few people who were hired

54:01by Merlyn and although they are

54:03victorious, Merlyn gets away with the

54:05device. Having grown a bit of courage,

54:06Moira Queen tries to warn the people of

54:08the Glades during a press conference but

54:09before she could get anything out, she

54:11is killed by an arrow by Malcolm Merlyn.

54:14At the funeral, Merlyn has the gall to

54:16show up. Oliver confronts him but is

54:18overpowered and Merlyn tells him that

54:20it's all going down that night. Later

54:22on, Oliver realizes where the device

54:24might be in the Glades as he remembers a

54:26friend of his named Tommy Merlyn who

54:29died when he was a kid and whose mother

54:31died as well. Team [music] Arrow finds

54:33Merlyn in an abandoned subway line right

54:35under the point where Tommy and his

54:36mother were killed and a fight breaks

54:38out. The battle is intense. Dinah is

54:40unable to use her sonic scream as it

54:42risks setting off the device prematurely

54:43so Merlyn is then able to fight all

54:46three on his own. This isn't a fight he

54:48was ever going to win but he doesn't

54:49really need to. He just has to delay

54:50them long enough for the earthquake

54:52device to go off which he successfully

54:54does. The ground begins to quake,

54:56buildings start to collapse a bit, and

54:58chaos spreads throughout the Glades.

55:00With time running out, Dinah pushes

55:02herself to her physical and emotional

55:04limit unleashing easily the most

55:06powerful scream that she's ever

55:07attempted which easily destroys the

55:08earthquake device but leaving herself

55:10temporarily weakened. Seizing the

55:12moment, Merlyn tries to attack her but

55:15Oliver confronts him one-on-one and

55:17though battered and emotionally raw,

55:18Oliver manages to stab Merlyn through

55:20the heart with an arrow ending the Dark

55:22Archer's threat. The trio narrowly

55:24escapes the collapsing subway tunnel

55:26leaving Merlyn buried in the rubble. As

55:28the dust settles, the team emerges to

55:30find the Glades in ruins with survivors

55:32struggling amidst the destruction. Roy

55:34then finds the body of a close friend of

55:36his, Sin, [music] who died in the chaos.

55:39Dinah, now fully committed to the fight

55:40for Star City, decides to stay and

55:42partners with Oliver both as heroes and

55:45also romantically. In the post-credit

55:46scene, Green Arrow and Black Canary are

55:48approached by Hal Jordan who offers them

55:50membership to the Justice League. That

55:53brings us to the final year of the

2015

55:54chapter 2015 starting with the second

55:56R-rated Vertigo movie Constantine. This

55:58one directed by Guillermo del Toro.

56:00Constantine stars Matt Ryan and follows

56:02a similar story to the real world movie

56:04of Constantine: City of Demons. Set in

56:06LA, Constantine helps his old friend

56:08Chas Chandler, played by Charles

56:09Halford, to save his daughter Trish from

56:11a demon. Flashbacks reveal Constantine's

56:13origin. As a young man, he and Chas were

56:15in a band led by Alex Lo, who attempted

56:17a dark spell using his daughter Astra.

56:19Constantine summoned a demon named

56:21Nergal to save Astra but Nergal dragged

56:24her to hell instead. In the present,

56:26Constantine and Chas discovered that it

56:27was Nergal who stole Trish's soul. They

56:29enlist Nightmare Nurse, played by Ruth

56:30Connell, to heal Trish as well as Swamp

56:33Thing to confront Nergal. In order to

56:35gain Swamp Thing's help, Constantine

56:36promises him a conversation with the now

56:38deceased Alec Holland. However, Swamp

56:41Thing's involvement proves to not really

56:42matter much as while there is a physical

56:44battle with Nergal, the climax proves to

56:46be deeply personal and the physical

56:49battle never really meant anything. Chas

56:51sacrifices all the love in his life to

56:52save Trish erasing his connections with

56:54everyone including his own memories just

56:56like the real world Constantine: City of

56:58Demons movie. The movie ends with the

56:59revelation that Constantine's secret

57:01attempt to rescue Astra sabotaged their

57:03chance for an easier solution leaving

57:06Astra still in hell and Chas Chandler

57:08completely without the memory of his

57:09daughter and vice versa. An end credit

57:11scene shows Astra being rescued in hell

57:13by a mysterious yellow demon who calls

57:15himself Etrigan. Since the second Batman

57:18movie back in 2011, I've been setting up

57:20this movie Teen Titans. Directed by Jon

57:22Watts, the movie focuses on the Justice

57:24League sidekicks Robin, Kid Flash, Donna

57:26Troy, and Arsenal who despite their

57:28different backgrounds unite to form a

57:30cohesive superhero team. While Robin,

57:32who is 16 years old, has already forged

57:33relationships with both Donna and Wally

57:36which happened off screen, the remainder

57:37of the team meets for the first time at

57:39the Hall of Justice under the brief

57:41guidance of Martian Manhunter which is

57:43more of a tourist site just like it was

57:44in Young Justice while the actual HQ is

57:46the Watchtower. Simultaneously, the

57:4816-year-old Victor Stone, portrayed by

57:50Jovan Wade, confronts his father Silas

57:52over missing his football game only to

57:54find Garfield Logan, a 15-year-old green

57:56boy played by Ryan Potter, is being held

57:58captive as a part of Silas's secretive

58:00experiments. This conversation leads to

58:01an accident in which Victor

58:03inadvertently triggers an explosion

58:04disfiguring himself which also allows

58:06Garfield to escape doing so by

58:08transforming into a bird and flying

58:09away. This incident catches the Justice

58:12League system's attention but with the

58:14actual Justice League preoccupied, the

58:15young heroes disobey direct orders

58:17taking it upon themselves to intervene

58:19traveling to the spot where this

58:21occurred, Detroit. As the future Teen

58:22Titans arrive, Silas then reveals to

58:24them that he was working under duress

58:25and he was threatened by an organization

58:27known as HIVE who are intent to exploit

58:29Beast Boy's unique abilities to build a

58:31superpowered army. With Garfield now

58:33missing, the organization is sure to

58:35carry out its threats. Dick takes the

58:37lead telling Wally to scout the city for

58:39the Beast Boy while the others remain

58:40behind to protect Silas ensuring he has

58:42time to repair Victor using advanced

58:44Promethium technology. Wally finds Beast

58:46Boy but the two are ambushed by HIVE

58:48agents Ravager and Jinx resulting in

58:50Garfield's recapture while Wally is

58:51simply knocked out, not kidnapped or

58:53even killed so as not to incur the

58:55attention of the Justice League.

58:56Meanwhile, Shimmer, Mammoth, and Gizmo

58:59launch an assault on Star Labs. Despite

59:01being overwhelmed, buys enough time for

59:02Silas to complete Victor's

59:04transformation into an as of now simply

59:06alive but powerless cyborg before both

59:09he and Garfield are taken to HIVE HQ.

59:12Luckily, Wally was thinking on his feet

59:13and placed a tracker on Ravager, a

59:15tracker that was given to him by his

59:16mentor Barry Allen. The Titans regroup

59:18and track him finding him in his home

59:20and civilian identity. They manage to

59:22easily defeat Ravager who reveals HIVE's

59:24HQ before succumbing to a fatal heart

59:26attack due to the overuse of his

59:28unstable powers leaving Robin and Wally

59:30deeply shaken by their own involvement.

59:32Not so much Donna or Roy though.

59:34Pressing onwards the team infiltrates

59:35Hive HQ in New York City where Victor

59:37now equipped with Hive controlled

59:39cybernetics and weaponry bonds with

59:41Garfield in captivity who learns of

59:43Hive's leader Queen Bee and her [music]

59:44deranged plan to weaponize his powers to

59:47create an army of sentient bees. The

59:49team arrives to rescue Gar and Victor

59:51and do just that as a battle breaks out

59:53between the two groups with Victor

59:55assuming control over his cybernetics.

59:57The Titans are winning and things seem

59:58to be going a little bit too well as the

1:00:00lights turn off and a mysterious figure

1:00:02massacres every single Hive agent

1:00:04including all of the supervillains

1:00:05leaving the Titans to find themselves

1:00:07amidst carnage they could neither

1:00:08predict nor prevent. However, with the

1:00:10immediate threat neutralized the heroes

1:00:12establish their headquarters in New York

1:00:13City dubbing it Titans Tower and dubbing

1:00:15themselves the Teen Titans. Most of the

1:00:18team moves in full-time though Robin and

1:00:20Kid Flash divide their time between the

1:00:21tower and their respective cities. As

1:00:23relationships develop Roy develops a

1:00:25crush on Donna, Victor and Garfield

1:00:27become best friends as [music] do Dick

1:00:28and Wally though Robin relationship

1:00:31remains contentious due to the

1:00:32leadership tensions. Individually Victor

1:00:34struggles to feel human and struggles

1:00:36with his relationship with his father.

1:00:38Beast Boy suffers from PTSD following

1:00:39his parents' death at the hands of Hive

1:00:41revealed to have been right before the

1:00:42events of this movie as well as the

1:00:44massacre but both use humor to mask

1:00:46their pain. Roy struggles to feel a part

1:00:48of the team. Robin doesn't reveal his

1:00:50identity to the rest and the team has a

1:00:51fragile structure as its leader isn't

1:00:54always present. Meanwhile it's revealed

1:00:55that the man who massacred the members

1:00:56of Hive was Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke

1:00:59a physically enhanced retired and father

1:01:02of Ravager who was Grant Wilson who was

1:01:04aware of his involvement with Hive and

1:01:06then blamed Hive for Grant Wilson's

1:01:08death and so got his revenge. Meanwhile

1:01:10Slade's ex-wife Adeline Kane

1:01:12investigates Grant Wilson's death and

1:01:14provides Slade with evidence implicating

1:01:16the Teen Titans. This revelation fuels

1:01:18Slade's vendetta leading him to recruit

1:01:20two other children Rose played by

1:01:22Chelsea Zhang and Joe played by Lucas

1:01:24Till [music] to aid him in dismantling

1:01:26the team. Using psychological tactics,

1:01:28traps and manipulation as Joe's body

1:01:30possession powers Deathstroke exploits

1:01:32the team's underlying fragility

1:01:34eventually capturing every single member

1:01:36of the Titans aside from one in order to

1:01:38lure Robin the remaining member into a

1:01:40one-on-one confrontation threatening to

1:01:42kill his teammates if he brings

1:01:44reinforcements. In a pivotal moment

1:01:46Robin comes to the realization that he

1:01:47can no longer split his time so he seeks

1:01:49closure in Gotham by officially stepping

1:01:51out of Batman's shadow committing fully

1:01:53to the Teen Titans. He [music] confronts

1:01:55Slade revealing his identity to the team

1:01:56in a show of trust which inspires Joe to

1:01:58turn against his father. Jericho who is

1:02:01Joe Wilson faces off against Rose while

1:02:02Robin battles Deathstroke in a brutal

1:02:04fight. He is ultimately outmatched

1:02:06physically but does prevail through

1:02:07strategic cunning freeing his teammates

1:02:09in the process. Slade in a desperate

1:02:12move and having gone a bit mad kills his

1:02:14own son Joe to absorb his powers [music]

1:02:16making himself a greater threat and

1:02:17inadvertently pushing Rose to join the

1:02:19Titans. The final battle sees the team

1:02:21working together to defeat Deathstroke

1:02:23with Joe's consciousness briefly

1:02:25inhabiting Rose's mind to release the

1:02:27stolen powers. His ultimate sacrifice

1:02:29leaves Slade broken having killed his

1:02:31own son in pursuit of revenge for his

1:02:33other son's death. Slade is sent to

1:02:35prison. Rose decides to forge her own

1:02:37path rather than join the Titans [music]

1:02:39and that Donna turns down Roy's advances

1:02:41prompting his departure as he struggles

1:02:43to find his place. Wally follows Dick's

1:02:45lead to become a full-time Titan

1:02:47abandoning Central City solidifying the

1:02:49team's core membership of Robin, Kid

1:02:51Flash, Wonder Girl, Beast Boy and Cyborg

1:02:54almost the New Teen [music] Titans.

1:02:56Speaking of the two missing members are

1:02:58teased in individual end credit scenes.

1:03:00One introduces an alien princess played

1:03:02by Anya Taylor-Joy escaping captivity on

1:03:04a spaceship. The other features a

1:03:06demonic figure being told of his

1:03:08daughter being found in the land of

1:03:10Azeroth. Finally for this chapter is

1:03:12Justice League Doom which will be the

1:03:14third and final movie in this universe

1:03:15directed by Brad Bird and shares its

1:03:17name with and has a similar story to the

1:03:19real world animated movie that in this

1:03:20world will not exist. The Justice League

1:03:23is at its peak. The lineup is expansive

1:03:25including Superman, Batman, Wonder

1:03:26Woman, Flash, Hal Jordan now the Blue

1:03:28and Green Lantern, Aquaman, Martian

1:03:30Manhunter and the heroes recruited

1:03:32during chapter two Green Arrow, Black

1:03:34Canary, Supergirl and John Stewart.

1:03:36[music] To combat the League with a

1:03:37motive that will be explained later Lex

1:03:39Luthor rallies a formidable Legion of

1:03:41Doom consisting of returning villains

1:03:42Black Manta, Captain Cold and Heatwave

1:03:44joined by a few newcomers including Tom

1:03:46Hardy as Bane, a mysterious figure with

1:03:48a vendetta against Batman, Alan Tudyk

1:03:50voicing Clayface an old enemy of

1:03:51Batman's, Sophie Boutella as the Cheetah

1:03:54an old friend of Diana's who was cursed

1:03:55to become a cheetah which surprises

1:03:57Diana, Jeremy Davies as Doctor Destiny

1:03:59an insane man with the power to enter

1:04:01and manipulate dreams who was first

1:04:02defeated off-screen by Green Lantern,

1:04:05Phil LaMarr as Ma'alefa'ak J'onn

1:04:06J'onzz's brother who he thought dead

1:04:08alongside the rest of the Martians,

1:04:10Idris Elba as Bloodsport who has not yet

1:04:12met Superman is just hired by Lex Luthor

1:04:14as well as Max Mittelman voicing Atomic

1:04:16Skull who is indeed an old enemy of

1:04:18Superman's. Finally are Danielle

1:04:20Panabaker as Killer Frost and Dylan Neal

1:04:22as Anthony Ivo hired by Luthor to create

1:04:24Amazo. Unbeknownst to the League Batman

1:04:26has put together contingency plans in

1:04:27case they all go rogue. Only maybe

1:04:29Superman knows about it or at least he

1:04:31only thinks he knows about it because of

1:04:32the kryptonite that Batman had in

1:04:34Trinity. Unfortunately these plans are

1:04:36all stolen by Luthor and the Legion of

1:04:38Doom who plans to use them to destroy

1:04:40the League. Luthor coordinates a full-on

1:04:43assault deploying each member of the

1:04:44Legion to exploit Batman's plans.

1:04:46Superman is shot with a kryptonite

1:04:48bullet by Bloodsport. Meanwhile

1:04:49Supergirl faces off against Killer Frost

1:04:51and Atomic Skull who exploits her red

1:04:53sun vulnerability. She's weakened and

1:04:55captured. Flash is tricked by the Rogues

1:04:57into wearing a device that will detonate

1:04:59if he stops running. However, he did he

1:05:00vibrates to another universe while

1:05:02leaving the device behind. While on this

1:05:04other universe he meets a hero named

1:05:05Blue Beetle before then returning. Then

1:05:08while vibrating back Barry receives a

1:05:09vision of a coming crisis showing Earths

1:05:12across the multiverse being destroyed.

1:05:14Hal Jordan and John Stewart are attacked

1:05:16by Doctor Destiny who manipulates their

1:05:18dreams to purposely give them PTSD and

1:05:20survivor's guilt from the Sinestro War.

1:05:22This disables their will rendering their

1:05:24Green Lantern rings ineffective.

1:05:25However, this has no effect on Hal's

1:05:27hope so his Blue Lantern ring still

1:05:28works perfectly and he uses it to escape

1:05:30with John. Near Atlantis Aquaman is

1:05:32poisoned by Black Manta with a

1:05:34neurotoxin that makes him fear water.

1:05:36He's then kidnapped but secretly tracked

1:05:38by Mera. Martian Manhunter is ambushed

1:05:40by Ma'alefa'ak his long-lost brother.

1:05:42Using psychic powers Ma'alefa'ak traps

1:05:44J'onn into an illusion of being

1:05:45eternally ablaze rendering him immobile

1:05:48which he was able to do because he was

1:05:49caught off guard by his brother being

1:05:51alive. Batman faces Bane who shatters

1:05:54his back after a brutal fight. Bane then

1:05:56satisfied with his victory departs the

1:05:58Legion of Doom. Green Arrow and Black

1:06:00Canary face Clayface who captures Canary

1:06:02while leaving Green Arrow helpless.

1:06:03Batman did not have a plan for Arrow as

1:06:05he just thought he didn't really need

1:06:07one. Wonder Woman is lured into a

1:06:09hallucination by Cheetah forcing her

1:06:10into endless combat and though it

1:06:12initially incapacitates her Diana's

1:06:14sheer willpower helps her resist long

1:06:16enough to recover partially. She never

1:06:19really gets exhausted. The captured

1:06:21heroes Supergirl, Aquaman, Black Canary

1:06:23and the Martian Manhunter are taken to

1:06:24Anthony Ivo who copies their abilities

1:06:26into his android Amazo. Oliver, Hal,

1:06:29J'onn and Mera all separately track down

1:06:30the Legion's base of operations while

1:06:32the Flash performs critical rescues

1:06:34removing the kryptonite bullet from

1:06:35Superman with his phasing [music]

1:06:36ability, building a suit designed by

1:06:38Batman to help Batman to fight and

1:06:40delivering Wonder Woman to Themyscira

1:06:41for healing. This series of events

1:06:43leaves Barry exhausted which proves to

1:06:45have been Lex's plan. Lex takes

1:06:47advantage of this and alongside the

1:06:48Rogues defeats and captures Flash to

1:06:50copy his abilities as well into Amazo.

1:06:52The Legion are about to kill the heroes

1:06:54but are stopped by Arrow, Mera as well

1:06:57as the Lanterns who came up with a bit

1:06:58of a strategy as well their will still

1:07:00doesn't really work very well. Hal's

1:07:02blue ring is able to power up J'onn's

1:07:04green ring into about half power so

1:07:06while they are a lot less powerful than

1:07:08usual they are still useful. Oliver

1:07:10frees Barry who then frees the others

1:07:12and a fight breaks out. And just then

1:07:14the Trinity arrives. Superman battles

1:07:16Lex in his armored suit. J'onn faces off

1:07:18against his brother. Diana overcomes the

1:07:20Cheetah. Batman takes down Clayface.

1:07:22Green Arrow defeats Bloodsport. Black

1:07:24Canary defeats Killer Frost. Flash

1:07:25defeats both Cold and Heatwave. Aquaman

1:07:27takes down Manta while Mera defeats

1:07:29Atomic Skull. Hal and J'onn team up

1:07:31against Doctor Destiny and it seems like

1:07:33the Justice League is doing really well

1:07:35until the real threat emerges as Amazo

1:07:37awakens. Supergirl takes him on by

1:07:39herself before being joined by each hero

1:07:41after they defeat their respective

1:07:43enemies. Amazo with the powers of the

1:07:45Justice League proves unstoppable. He

1:07:46battles all the heroes simultaneously.

1:07:48His naivety about his purpose driving

1:07:50him into conflict just like the DCAU

1:07:52version. Lex attempts to control Amazo

1:07:54but the android grows self-aware. Green

1:07:57Arrow threatens Ivo who tells him that

1:07:59Amazo copied weaknesses as well. Oliver

1:08:01gets kryptonite from Batman, fashions an

1:08:03arrow and shoots Amazo. [music] However,

1:08:05this proves completely ineffective due

1:08:07to Amazo's other powers. He just phases

1:08:09through it. Amazo goes to kill Oliver

1:08:11but uses his Martian mind reading to

1:08:13find out that he was betrayed by his

1:08:15creator. Amazo turns on Ivo and kills

1:08:18him before Amazo is then overwhelmed by

1:08:20reading everyone's thoughts and is taken

1:08:22aback by the thoughts of the remaining

1:08:24Legion members so he turns on them.

1:08:26Amazo then kills Ma'alefa'ak first. He

1:08:28was J'onn's enemy but also his brother

1:08:30and the only other remaining Martian as

1:08:32far as J'onn knows. So Ma'alefa'ak's

1:08:34death pushes J'onn to do something that

1:08:35Martians are mostly forbidden from

1:08:37doing. He attacks Amazo with a powerful

1:08:39psychic assault that erases his mind

1:08:41leaving the android an empty husk

1:08:43without any powers. Throughout this

1:08:44movie we would see Lex's motivation

1:08:46being explored. We'd learn earlier that

1:08:48he was contacted by an alien being

1:08:49called Othoona and forced him to

1:08:51destroying the Justice League so that

1:08:52Othoona could take over the world

1:08:54uncontested promising Luthor that he

1:08:56could be his second-in-command. Lex of

1:08:58course turns on Othoona creating a plan

1:09:00of his own to destroy both the League

1:09:02and create an android capable of

1:09:03fighting off Othoona. I'm saying it now

1:09:05at the end but it wouldn't be a third

1:09:07act reveal. We'd see it playing out

1:09:08throughout the movie. Now that Amazo was

1:09:10destroyed Luthor has failed in that

1:09:12endeavor and Othoona sees the

1:09:14opportunity of the exhausted League and

1:09:16defeated Legion of Doom as an

1:09:17opportunity to attack. Joined by Lex the

1:09:20League face off against a big red

1:09:22tornado monster to save the world in

1:09:24which both Hal and J'onn fully regain

1:09:26their powers. The powerless heroes

1:09:28Batman and Green Arrow do prove

1:09:29pointless in this fight and instead turn

1:09:31their attention to the Android,

1:09:33rebooting him and easing him into things

1:09:35this time. When the Android asks who he

1:09:37is, they come up with the name John

1:09:38Smith off the dome, inspired by the

1:09:41powerless heroes fight. The Android

1:09:42agrees to help them, so they then fly

1:09:44him up to Oa using a bat ship. The

1:09:46Android copies Oa's power for himself.

1:09:49Process that. Since the reboot proved

1:09:51too taxing and so it disables his

1:09:54ability to copy powers going forward. It

1:09:56also turns him red. Joined by the

1:09:57Android with the power of Oa, the

1:09:59Justice League destroy him, saving the

1:10:00day and adding a new member to their

1:10:02ranks. The rebooted version of Amazo has

1:10:04a completely different perspective on

1:10:05things, is inspired to become a hero,

1:10:08redesigns himself based off of a few

1:10:09other heroes and calls himself Red

1:10:11Tornado. The League has a new powerful

1:10:13member but loses several others. Martian

1:10:15Manhunter leaves to search for other

1:10:16surviving Martians on Mars. Aquaman

1:10:18retires to spend his full time on

1:10:20Atlantis. The Flash decides to study the

1:10:22multiverse and the remaining members

1:10:23hold a vote for Batman after the

1:10:25revelation of his contingency plans. But

1:10:27before he could hear the result, he

1:10:29quits anyway. Not just that, with a

1:10:30broken back, Batman quits vigilantism

1:10:32entirely and instead searches for a

1:10:35replacement. The League now consists of

1:10:37Superman, Wonder Woman, Hal Jordan, John

1:10:39Stewart, Supergirl, Green Arrow, Black

1:10:41Canary and Red Tornado, but searches for

1:10:43new recruits and come with the likes of

1:10:44Adam, Metamorpho, Elongated Man and the

1:10:47third human recruit to the Green Lantern

1:10:48Corps who is now in training, Guy

1:10:50Gardner, who are all teased to be

1:10:52joining the Justice League soon, but we

1:10:54don't see actors for them yet. But with

1:10:56Flash's warning of a coming crisis, they

1:10:58were going to need to expand their

1:10:59ranks. Speaking of, the end credit scene

1:11:01reveals that Oa was actually sent by a

1:11:03being called The Monitor, played by

1:11:05LaMonica Garrett, as a test for the

1:11:07heroes of Earth-1. The Monitor is seen

1:11:09with a blonde woman who comic readers

1:11:11would recognize as Harbinger. Starting

1:11:14with this chapter, the DC would also

1:11:15start airing different TV shows that are

1:11:17loosely connected to the DCU as they all

1:11:20take place on different universes, but

1:11:22eventually will cross over a bit, maybe

1:11:24with a cameo here and there. To what

1:11:26this is all leading up to, these TV

1:11:27shows include Doom Patrol, which is

1:11:29basically just the real life show just

1:11:31without Cyborg. It would start airing in

1:11:332013 and have four seasons airing until

1:11:362018. But it would later be revealed

1:11:38that Doom Patrol takes place on

1:11:39Earth-13, which is the Vertigo Universe.

1:11:42The Vertigo Universe would get a second

1:11:43TV show known as The Sandman, which

1:11:45would be just like the real life Sandman

1:11:47movie except for Lucifer being played by

1:11:49Tom Ellis who played Lucifer in the

1:11:51Lucifer TV show and it connecting a bit

1:11:53to Swamp Thing as the actor who played

1:11:55Matt Cable there would then show up here

1:11:57as the Raven. John Constantine would

1:12:00also now be involved. The Sandman would

1:12:01start airing in 2015 and continue going

1:12:03until whenever they finish the graphic

1:12:05novel. It's just that from a certain

1:12:06point, it would start taking place in

1:12:08the post-crisis world we'll get to.

1:12:10There would then be a few different

1:12:11shows that take place in its own

1:12:13contained universe known as Earth-14,

1:12:15which would then have a role in the

1:12:17crisis to come. Those shows are a Black

1:12:19Lightning show which could be similar

1:12:20but maybe a bit better than the real

1:12:22life live action show. Black Lightning

1:12:23would start airing in 20 14 and have

1:12:26four seasons airing until 2019. A

1:12:28Firestorm show starring Robbie Amell and

1:12:30Victor Garber and just like Black

1:12:32Lightning would start airing in 2014 and

1:12:34go until 2019 with four seasons. There

1:12:36would then be a Vixen TV show starring

1:12:39Maisie Richardson-Sellers that starts

1:12:40airing in 2016 and has three seasons, as

1:12:43well as a Hawk and Dove show starring

1:12:45Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly and would

1:12:48have two seasons as it starts airing in

1:12:502016 but ends in 2018. Finally, Booster

1:12:52Gold starring Eric Martsolf, which would

1:12:54seem like it takes place in the future

1:12:56of Earth-1 but it's later revealed that

1:12:57every possible future is its own

1:12:59separate universe and this takes place

1:13:01on Earth-24. And so that's it for

1:13:03chapter two as well as a bit of chapter

1:13:04three if you count the later seasons of

1:13:06the TV show. The last video ended

1:13:08chapter two in 2015. This video will

1:13:10cover the third chapter of the DCMU and

1:13:13the final chapter of the Crisis

1:13:15Chronicles, which starts in 2016 and

1:13:18we'll be diving headfirst into the

1:13:20multiverse as none of the three movies

1:13:22releasing in this year take place on

1:13:24Earth-1. DC has breaches into the

1:13:26multiverse to deal with, but you might

1:13:28have data breaches online that could be

1:13:30just as scary. Enter Aura, the sponsor

1:13:33of today's video, for which you can get

1:13:34a 14-day free trial while at the same

1:13:36time also supporting this channel. But

1:13:38what exactly do they do? Well, every day

1:13:41big companies with poor security are

1:13:43getting hacked, leading to your personal

1:13:45information being sold on the dark web,

1:13:47leading to you being targeted by

1:13:48scammers and identity thieves. By using

1:13:51Aura, you could make sure that your

1:13:52information will stop showing up on

1:13:53these sites within a few weeks. They do

1:13:55this by identifying data stealers who

1:13:57are selling my information, submit

1:13:59opt-out requests on my behalf, and then

1:14:02continue to scour the dark web to alert

1:14:03me if they find my personal information

1:14:05exposed. They also let me know if anyone

1:14:07tries to access my bank account using

1:14:08this information and then even if

1:14:10something does happen, Aura comes with

1:14:12up to $5 million in identity theft

1:14:14insurance. And if all that wasn't

1:14:16enough, Aura also doubles as a VPN

1:14:18service with 100-plus locations. So if

1:14:20something isn't on Netflix in your

1:14:21country, just switch to another. Does

1:14:23your VPN have all those other features,

1:14:25too? Quickly pause the video and go to

1:14:27aura.com/theblacklion

1:14:29for a 14-day free trial, which is enough

1:14:31time for Aura to find out if any of your

1:14:33personal information was exposed. I

1:14:35genuinely cannot recommend it enough.

2016

1:14:38The first movie in this chapter is

1:14:39Justice Society of America, directed by

1:14:41Steven Spielberg and acting as a

1:14:43spin-off to The Flash of Two Worlds. Set

1:14:46on Earth-2, the film expands on the

1:14:48history of this world. Jay Garrick, who

1:14:50was active during World War II, was once

1:14:52a member of the now-defunct Justice

1:14:54Society of America, who appeared briefly

1:14:57in the shadows in their previous

1:14:59appearance, but now in the first few

1:15:00minutes of this movie are shown fully.

1:15:02The original JSA lineup included Wesley

1:15:05Dodds aka Sandman, who is now retired

1:15:07and doesn't appear with an actor since

1:15:09he's fully covered up. Henry Heywood aka

1:15:11Commander Steel, played by Matthew

1:15:13McConaughey, who is now deceased. Ted

1:15:15Grant aka Wildcat, played by Brian

1:15:17Staff, who is now retired. Al Pratt aka

1:15:20The Atom, actor list in his prime played

1:15:22by Henry Winkler in the present and now

1:15:24retired. Rex Tyler aka Hourman, played

1:15:27by Lou Ferrigno Jr. and now deceased.

1:15:29There's obviously Jay Garrick aka The

1:15:31Flash, played by a de-aged John Wesley

1:15:33Shipp, who retired in the '50s but

1:15:35re-emerged in the '90s. A big reveal is

1:15:37that this version of the JSA had its own

1:15:39version of Wonder Woman, played by a

1:15:41de-aged Lynda Carter then and now in the

1:15:43present day played by the regular Lynda

1:15:45Carter. Not just that, but this movie

1:15:47also retconned a few old TV shows and

1:15:49the movies to take place on [music]

1:15:50Earth-2. The first of which is the '70s

1:15:53Wonder Woman show. Then there's Kent

1:15:54Nelson aka Doctor Fate, who's actor list

1:15:57in the past by Pierce Brosnan in the

1:15:59present, still alive because when in the

1:16:01Tower of Fate he does not age. Then

1:16:03there's Alan Scott aka Green Lantern,

1:16:05who in the past is played by a de-aged

1:16:07Cary Elwes and in the present is just a

1:16:09regular Cary Elwes. Slowed aging due to

1:16:11magic. Then there's Hawkman and

1:16:12Hawkgirl, specifically the Thanagarians

1:16:15Katar Hol and Shayera Hol, played by

1:16:17Falk Hentschel and Ciara Renee, who both

1:16:19died of old age in around the 1980s and

1:16:22then were reincarnated as completely

1:16:24different-looking people. Doctor

1:16:26Midnight or Charles McNider is played by

1:16:28Alex Collins and is seen killed in

1:16:30action, as are Terry Sloane aka Mister

1:16:33Terrific, played by Dan Payne, and

1:16:35Johnny Thunder, played by Ethan Embry.

1:16:37Following Johnny's death, the

1:16:38Thunderbolt, who only appears briefly

1:16:40voiced by Seth Green, goes dormant in

1:16:42the purple pen. The movie begins with a

1:16:44montage showing Earth-2's history all

1:16:46the way up to the present day and

1:16:47starting in World War II, showing the

1:16:49JSA coming together, fighting some sort

1:16:51of threat and then after World War II

1:16:53ends, they're forced to disband and they

1:16:55all retire. Diana even returns to

1:16:58Themyscira. Diana then returns to Man's

1:17:00World in the 1970s and her TV show plays

1:17:02out. And then Superman. The Christopher

1:17:05Reeve Superman movies and Supergirl both

1:17:07take place on Earth-2. Superman, now

1:17:09played by Tom Welling, and Kara, now

1:17:11played by Laura Vandervoort, both age

1:17:13slower. Clark married Lois but had no

1:17:15kids and wears makeup to appear older

1:17:17while Kara just doesn't bother and she

1:17:20is Power Girl. The Michael Keaton Batman

1:17:23movies are also revealed to belong to

1:17:25this world. Since Batman Returns, Bruce

1:17:27faced numerous villains. Alfred passed

1:17:30away and Bruce and Selina got married,

1:17:32having Helena Wayne aka now the Huntress

1:17:34in 1998. Bruce now retired, left Gotham

1:17:38in the capable hands of his daughter,

1:17:39played by Jessica De Gouw, and her

1:17:41sidekick, Tim Drake aka Robin, played by

1:17:44Jay Lycurgo, who only recently debuted.

1:17:47And all of that is just the first 10

1:17:49minutes leading into the present day.

1:17:51[music] In the present day, focus shifts

1:17:53to Carter Hall, played by Aldis Hodge,

1:17:55who is visited by Jim Corrigan aka The

1:17:58Spectre, played by Stephen Lobo, who

1:18:00restores his Hawkman memories and warns

1:18:02him of an impending threat known [music]

1:18:04as Eclipso, urging him to reform the

1:18:06JSA. Eclipso is Spectre's predecessor, a

1:18:09corrupted agent of God. Hawkman recruits

1:18:12a few members of the new generation of

1:18:14heroes, including Huntress and Robin.

1:18:16Michael Holt aka Mister Terrific, played

1:18:18by Eddie Gathegi, who was just inspired

1:18:20by the original and has no other

1:18:21connection to him. Then there's Al

1:18:23Rothstein aka The Atom Smasher, played

1:18:25by Noah Centineo, who is Al Pratt's

1:18:27grandson and inherited his powers. Nate

1:18:29Heywood aka Citizen Steel is played by

1:18:31Nick Zano, who has the exact same story.

1:18:34He is Commander Steel's grandson and

1:18:36also inherited his powers. And then

1:18:38there is Alicia Vikander as Hawkgirl,

1:18:40the Kendra Saunders version, who became

1:18:42Hawkgirl independently and lacks her

1:18:45past life memories for whatever reason.

1:18:47Meanwhile, Nick E. Tarabay plays

1:18:49Eclipso, who corrupts Doctor Fate, The

1:18:51Flash, Green Lantern, Power Girl, Wonder

1:18:53Woman and Batman, forcing Bruce out of

1:18:55retirement. This leads to a sort of

1:18:57superhero civil war on Earth-2 between

1:19:00the older, controlled JSA and the

1:19:02younger generation, who are also joined

1:19:04by Superman, who are not a part of the

1:19:06mind-controlled group because Superman

1:19:07has been mind-controlled too many times

1:19:09and there's more evil Superman to come

1:19:11in this multiverse. Eclipso's control is

1:19:14not total. His victims retain their

1:19:16personalities, which leads to

1:19:17long-buried resentments surfacing in

1:19:19battle. Eventually, however, Eclipso's

1:19:21hold is broken and the JSA completely

1:19:24unites against him. His goal was to

1:19:26merge the real world with the

1:19:28Shadowlands, his banishment realm. The

1:19:30heroes do eventually win, but at a great

1:19:32cost. Destroying Eclipso's stone, which

1:19:34by the way he has a stone, ends the Hawk

1:19:37reincarnation cycle as it's revealed

1:19:39that Eclipso was the one who started it,

1:19:41but also it erases Hawkgirl's chance of

1:19:43her regaining past life memories, which

1:19:45is something that also was caused by

1:19:46Eclipso. Hawkman makes the ultimate

1:19:48sacrifice deciding to cut off that

1:19:50connection, allowing Wonder Woman to

1:19:51land the final blow. However, Eclipso

1:19:53lands a final blow of his own, killing

1:19:56Diana. A huge funeral is held in Diana's

1:19:58honor, who is hailed as the world's

1:20:00greatest hero, and the JSA reform,

1:20:03except without Hawkman, who finds it too

1:20:05painful to be around his love, Hawkgirl,

1:20:07without her remembering him. Bruce also

1:20:09returns to retirement. Then, in a

1:20:11post-credit scene, the Spectre and

1:20:13Doctor Fate discuss how Spectre was

1:20:15forbidden from acting directly. It's

1:20:17implied that this was completely

1:20:19intentional. The JSA had to reform to

1:20:21prepare for an even greater battle

1:20:23ahead. Next up is Blue Beetle, directed

1:20:26by Edgar Wright. The film explores Earth

1:20:284, first seen in a cameo in Justice

1:20:30League Doom. This is a world full of

1:20:32heroes that is hit by an alien invasion

1:20:35by an alien race known as the Reach,

1:20:37except they come as peaceful

1:20:39ambassadors, as [music] far as they

1:20:41claim. Ted Kord, played by Jason

1:20:42Statham, previously cameoed as Blue

1:20:44Beetle. However, the focus now shifts to

1:20:47Jaime Reyes, played by a little bit of a

1:20:49younger Zolo Maridueña, a 14-year-old

1:20:52suddenly chosen by an alien scarab.

1:20:54Leading into Jaime's origin story, a few

1:20:56heroes go missing like Judo Master,

1:20:58played by Nat Lee, Nightshade, played by

1:21:00Malin Åkerman, and Ted Kord. A few

1:21:02months later, Jaime bonds with the

1:21:04scarab, gaining immense power as the

1:21:06next and most powerful Blue Beetle.

1:21:09While dealing with his family, similar

1:21:10to the Blue Beetle film, Jaime is

1:21:12mentored by Peacemaker, played by John

1:21:14Cena, and Captain Atom, played by Scott

1:21:16Eastwood, a few of Ted Kord's old

1:21:18friends. Meanwhile, the Question, played

1:21:20by Penn Badgley, investigates the Reach

1:21:23independently. In a twist, he discovers

1:21:25that Jaime, under the scarab's

1:21:26influence, has unknowingly been aiding

1:21:28the Reach's infiltration. As their

1:21:30control strengthens, Jaime fights

1:21:32against Earth heroes until he himself

1:21:34fully regains control after bonding

1:21:37legitimately with the scarab.

1:21:39Ultimately, Blue Beetle, Peacemaker,

1:21:40Captain Atom, and the Question join

1:21:42forces to rescue Ted Kord, Judo Master,

1:21:44and Nightshade, and together they take

1:21:47the fight to the Reach, culminating in a

1:21:49Blue Beetle versus Black Beetle fight.

1:21:51Along the way, Captain Atom explo- No,

1:21:53I'm kidding. Judo Master dies. After the

1:21:55Reach's defeat, Ted retires to support

1:21:58Jaime. An end credit scene shows the

1:21:59Monitor, fresh from testing Earth 2 in

1:22:02an event that we did not see, declaring

1:22:04that they've passed and now is preparing

1:22:06to test Earth 4, another event that we

1:22:08won't see. It's more so just implied. I

1:22:10like the idea that in this movie, at

1:22:12some point near the end, Ted confides in

1:22:14Jaime that he never liked a single one

1:22:16of the other heroes of this world. He

1:22:17never really got along with any of them,

1:22:19to hint that his best friend is actually

1:22:21worlds away. From Earth 2 to 4 and now

1:22:24back to Earth 5, 2016 closes with a

1:22:27Shazam sequel set on this world, where

1:22:29the Monitor tests this world's heroes,

1:22:31or at least that's how it starts. The

1:22:33film opens with the Marvel family facing

1:22:35their most persistent enemy, Mister

1:22:37Mind, voiced by Greg Ellis, a genius

1:22:39Venusian worm who has been upgraded by

1:22:42his Monster Society of Evil, a group of

1:22:44interdimensional monsters who were given

1:22:47to him by the Monitor as the test. The

1:22:49battle pushes the Marvels to their

1:22:51limit, forcing them to unleash a

1:22:52combined Shazam attack that defeats the

1:22:54villains, but also shakes the Rock of

1:22:56Eternity, freeing its former champion,

1:22:59Hath Adam. 5,000 years ago, Teth Adam, a

1:23:01Khandaqi slave, played by The Rock, was

1:23:03granted the power of Shazam to liberate

1:23:06his people, but abused it to rule as a

1:23:08tyrant. For this, the wizard imprisoned

1:23:10him in the Rock of Eternity. Cut to the

1:23:12present day, now free, Black Adam seeks

1:23:15revenge, effortlessly defeating the

1:23:17weakened Marvel family before realizing

1:23:19that the wizard is dead. With no real

1:23:21opposition, he takes over Khandaq pretty

1:23:23quickly, killing many and declaring

1:23:25himself its ruler. Over several months,

1:23:28the Marvel family debates whether to

1:23:29intervene, finally convinced by Adrianna

1:23:32Tomaz, an Egyptian superhero wielding

1:23:34elemental powers. The Marvels infiltrate

1:23:37Khandaq and fight Adam, but they are

1:23:39booed by the citizens who now revere

1:23:41him. Adam seduces Adrianna to his side,

1:23:44revealing she was always obsessed with

1:23:45him and only just used the Marvels to

1:23:47get close to him. Captain Atom gives a

1:23:49speech on freedom, which falls on deaf

1:23:51ears, but Freddy refuses to back down.

1:23:53He challenges Adam, but is defeated and

1:23:55forcibly depowered and also beaten

1:23:58almost to death. In a destructive final

1:24:00showdown, Billy and Mary battle Adam and

1:24:02Adrianna, and with the champions of

1:24:04Shazam clashing, it causes further

1:24:06disturbance in the already slightly

1:24:08broken Rock of Eternity, which then

1:24:10explodes, unleashing an army similar to

1:24:12the Monster Society of Evil, but a

1:24:14hundred times larger. The champions put

1:24:16their differences aside to try to defeat

1:24:17them, but ultimately, they can't and

1:24:19Billy is forced to bond with the Rock of

1:24:21Eternity and become the new wizard,

1:24:24Shazam. Billy is now stuck in the Rock

2017

1:24:26of Eternity indefinitely. Mary becomes

1:24:28the new de facto Captain Marvel, and

1:24:30then she and Black Adam agree to a

1:24:34Mary and Freddy return to America after

1:24:37having experienced things that Earth 5

1:24:40had never really seen before, as this

1:24:42was a bit of a lighter world. It's

1:24:43gotten darker after the influence of the

1:24:46multiverse. 2017 brings us back to Earth

1:24:481 with the first Batman solo film since

1:24:512011, the first of a two-part finale for

1:24:54the Batman's arc in the Crisis

1:24:56Chronicles. Batman: Cape Crusader,

1:24:58directed by Matt Reeves. Following

1:24:59Justice League Doom, where Bane broke

1:25:01Batman's back, Bruce retired from

1:25:03vigilantism. In his absence, Bane

1:25:06completely took over Gotham's criminal

1:25:08underworld and now has complete rule

1:25:10over it. Bruce, searching for a

1:25:12successor, rejects the now 18-year-old

1:25:14Dick Grayson, believing he lacks the

1:25:16darkness required for Batman and also

1:25:18wanting him to forge his own path. This

1:25:21angers Dick, who leaves Gotham. Instead,

1:25:23Bruce chooses Azrael, played by Brenton

1:25:25Thwaites, a warrior who claims to have

1:25:27escaped the Order of Saint Dumas,

1:25:29although it's quickly revealed that he's

1:25:31secretly still very loyal to them.

1:25:33Months go by and Azrael takes over as

1:25:36Batman, donning a blue and gold armored

1:25:38suit of his own design and enforcing

1:25:40brutal justice. Barbara Gordon, aka

1:25:42Batgirl, a major focus in this movie,

1:25:44tries to curb Azrael's more violent

1:25:47tendencies. Meanwhile, an Arkham

1:25:49breakout orchestrated by Bane unleashes

1:25:51rogues, forcing Batman and Batgirl to

1:25:53battle them while Bruce, still

1:25:55recovering, acts as their man in the

1:25:57chair, aided by Alfred and also Selina

1:25:59Kyle. Bruce and Selina, having

1:26:01reconnected after his injury, grew

1:26:03closer with Selina retiring from crime.

1:26:05This all leads to a final battle between

1:26:07Batman and Bane, ending with Azrael

1:26:10killing Bane and threatening the

1:26:12criminals of Gotham that he'll kill them

1:26:13all as well. With Azrael corrupting the

1:26:15Batman symbol, Bruce realized his

1:26:18mistake, as does Barbara Gordon, who

1:26:20quits being Batgirl for now and becomes

1:26:22Oracle. Unfortunately, Azrael and the

1:26:24Order of Saint Dumas have successfully

1:26:26fully taken control of Wayne Enterprises

1:26:29and the Batcave, everything that Bruce

1:26:31Wayne owns. Bruce has mostly recovered

1:26:33physically, but has lost access to any

1:26:36of his resources and has been kicked out

1:26:37onto the street. Then, in a third-act

1:26:40twist revealed also to Bruce, it's

1:26:42revealed that the Order of Saint Dumas

1:26:43is secretly controlled by the League of

1:26:45Assassins, led by Ra's al Ghul, played

1:26:48by Alexander Siddig, who planted Azrael

1:26:50to take over Bruce's legacy. Final

1:26:52twist, Azrael's full name, he is not

1:26:55Jean-Paul Valley, that's not a character

1:26:57that exists here. This is Azrael al

1:26:59Ghul, Ra's's biological son. Meanwhile,

1:27:0216-year-old Jason Todd, played by Curran

1:27:04Walters, is a street kid who idolizes

1:27:06the new Batman and is so thankful for

1:27:08him having killed Bane, who terrorized

1:27:10his neighborhood, that he gets Batman's

1:27:12attention by stealing a wheel off the

1:27:14Batmobile and demanding to become Robin,

1:27:17and Azrael agrees. At Titans Tower, Dick

1:27:20Grayson fully abandons the Robin mantle.

1:27:22When Wally West asks what they should

1:27:24call him, Dick remained silent, teasing

1:27:27he's going to be getting a new identity

1:27:28in an upcoming film coming out this

1:27:30year. For that, however, the

1:27:32Vertigo-based trilogy, taking place on

1:27:34Earth 13, concludes with Justice League

1:27:37Dark, directed by Guillermo del Toro,

1:27:39expanding the magical side of the DC

1:27:41multiverse and introducing a few new

1:27:42heroes. Zatanna, played by Serinda Swan,

1:27:45Boston Brand, aka Deadman, played by

1:27:47Bill Burr, and then Jason Blood, who's

1:27:49played by Nicholas Hoult, who then also

1:27:51plays or voices Etrigan. Picking up

1:27:54right after Etrigan's debut in the

1:27:55post-credit scene of Constantine, Aster

1:27:57and Etrigan flee demon in hell. When

1:27:59Etrigan reverts back to Jason Blood, he

1:28:02is joined by Zatanna and Deadman, two

1:28:04heroes from Earth 1, which is where he

1:28:06originates from, searching for lost

1:28:08souls in hell. Meanwhile, on Earth 13,

1:28:11Constantine finds a portal into hell.

1:28:13Swamp Thing tries to stop him, but they

1:28:15both end up trapped in hell. The five

1:28:17heroes then band together, fighting

1:28:19briefly before realizing they need to

1:28:20cooperate. Each hero has a personal

1:28:23mission. Constantine came to save Aster,

1:28:24and while he does reunite with her, he

1:28:26has no way of taking her out of hell.

1:28:28Zatanna searches for her father,

1:28:29Giovanni Zatara, who was cursed by

1:28:31villain Mordru and then sent to hell

1:28:33because of it. Deadman seeks closure

1:28:35from his murderer, but the man

1:28:37mysteriously died before he can get

1:28:39revenge, so he teamed up with Zatanna to

1:28:41do exactly that. Etrigan, being a demon,

1:28:43simply lives there. It's revealed that

1:28:45there is only one hell, one heaven, and

1:28:47one god across the entire multiverse.

1:28:50However, different worlds are closer to

1:28:52these realms. Darker universes like

1:28:54Earth 13 are a bit more connected to

1:28:56hell, while lighter universes like Earth

1:28:575 are closer to heaven. Earth 1 is a bit

1:29:00neutral. The team treks through various

1:29:02regions of hell, pursued by demons

1:29:04reporting to the current ruler of hell,

1:29:06Neron, played by Matthew Goode. Along

1:29:09the way, they bond. Zatanna frees her

1:29:11father and sends him to heaven, only to

1:29:13realize it was actually a demon

1:29:15impersonating him and that she was sent

1:29:17on a wild goose chase. He was in heaven

1:29:19the entire time. Deadman forgives his

1:29:21murderer, the only real thing that

1:29:22happened. Constantine and Zatanna kind

1:29:24of develop a bit of a bond that hints at

1:29:26a potential future romance. They

1:29:28eventually confront Neron, but he proves

1:29:30too powerful until Astra reveals that

1:29:32she has hidden magical abilities from

1:29:34being an alive soul who's been in hell

1:29:36for so long, and having learned from

1:29:39Nergal. With Astra's power tipping the

1:29:41balance, they defeat and destroy Neron.

1:29:44Following Neron's defeat, a portal opens

1:29:46to the closest portal to hell, and the

1:29:48heroes walk through. Swamp Thing,

1:29:50Constantine, and Astra belong here on

1:29:52Earth 13. The others, not so much.

1:29:55Etrigan is permanently separated from

1:29:58Jason Blood, who is back on Earth 1.

1:30:00Deadman is unable to pass on since Rama

1:30:02Kushna does not exist on this universe.

1:30:04If you don't know who that is, look it

1:30:05up. Accepting their new reality, they

1:30:08form this world's version of the Justice

1:30:10League after Zatanna suggests the name.

1:30:12They're not actually called Justice

1:30:13League Dark, but they are a dark version

1:30:15of the Justice League. With Neron

1:30:17defeated, hell is now leaderless, and

1:30:19its original ruler, Lucifer Morningstar,

1:30:22played by Tom Ellis, seizes the

1:30:24opportunity. Actually though, this is

1:30:25not a seized opportunity. This is a

1:30:28direct manipulation. Lucifer

1:30:30orchestrated everything. He killed

1:30:31Deadman's murderer to make him desperate

1:30:33enough to come to hell. He ordered

1:30:34Nergal to kidnap Astra all the way back

1:30:37then so that Constantine, decades later,

1:30:39would chase her. He implanted false

1:30:41memories in Zatanna to make her believe

1:30:43her father was suffering in hell, and

1:30:45then sent the demon to impersonate him,

1:30:47all with the goal of assembling a

1:30:49powerful group of magical warriors to

1:30:51destroy Neron, allowing him to reclaim

1:30:54his throne. Because of God's decree, he

1:30:56was not able to act directly, but he was

1:30:59able to orchestrate events. And so, with

1:31:01Neron gone, Lucifer ascends to the

1:31:04throne. [music] However, gazing into the

1:31:06future, Lucifer sees the multiverse

1:31:08coming to an end. Looking back at

1:31:10Justice League Dark, he declares them to

1:31:12be his equivalent to God's Specter,

1:31:14granting them a portion of his power,

1:31:16setting them all up as key players in

1:31:18the Crisis on Infinite Earths. The

1:31:21sequel to the Teen Titans movie is

1:31:23called Teen Titans prophecy, and sees

1:31:25David Sandberg taking over as director,

1:31:27bringing his horror expertise to all the

1:31:30Raven focused sequences. Jenna Ortega,

1:31:3215 at the time, plays Raven, or Rachel

1:31:35Roth, who becomes central to the story.

1:31:37Now having abandoned the Robin mantle,

1:31:39so he appears outside of costume for the

1:31:41most part in this movie, Dick Grayson

1:31:43searches for a new identity when he

1:31:44begins receiving visions leading him to

1:31:46Rachel Roth, a girl seeking the Titans'

1:31:48protection from an interstellar threat,

1:31:51not one you would expect, Starfire.

1:31:53Koriand'r is a Tamaranian princess and

1:31:55Tamaran's greatest warrior, who was sent

1:31:57to Earth to kill Rachel before she could

1:31:59awaken Trigon. As the Tamaranian

1:32:02prophecy suggests, Trigon would then

1:32:04destroy the entire solar system.

1:32:06However, Starfire on the way was

1:32:08captured by bandits, and only recently

1:32:10escaped. On the other side of things is

1:32:12Brother Blood, played by Kevin

1:32:14Alejandro, who leads a cult dedicated to

1:32:16having that prophecy come true and

1:32:18Trigon's return, wielding ancient magic

1:32:21to summon him. Among his followers is

1:32:22Red X, later revealed to be Roy Harper,

1:32:25a former hero who became addicted to

1:32:27drugs and was taken in by the cult, and

1:32:29he's only helping them for more drugs.

1:32:32Cheshire is also hired by the cult and

1:32:34bonds with Roy, leading to them hooking

1:32:36up. The Titans battle Starfire as she

1:32:39comes to Earth to protect Raven, but

1:32:40Starfire eventually agrees to find

1:32:42another way. During this time, as she

1:32:45and Raven are both kind of members of

1:32:47the Titans, Raven and Beast Boy grow

1:32:49closer, and Dick and Starfire develop

1:32:51feelings for each other. The Titans are

1:32:53then caught off guard when Red X is

1:32:54revealed as Roy Harper while fighting

1:32:57the cult, giving the cult the upper

1:32:58hand. They capture Raven and begin the

1:33:01ritual to unleash Trigon. Meanwhile,

1:33:03Cyborg is enhanced by Tamaranian

1:33:05technology. Kid Flash and Donna Troy

1:33:07briefly date, but it doesn't work out.

1:33:10And Dick recalls a story from Superman,

1:33:12who cameos in this movie, about heroes

1:33:14called Nightwing and Flamebird, a scene

1:33:16that we see in animation, inspiring him

1:33:19to then adopt the Nightwing identity.

1:33:22Using Raven as a conduit, the Cult of

1:33:24Blood successfully summons Trigon, who's

1:33:26played by Seamus Dever. The process

1:33:28causes Rachel immense pain, which Trigon

1:33:31sees, prompting Trigon, who definitely

1:33:33loves his daughter, to immediately kill

1:33:36Brother Blood for harming her. Trigon

1:33:38rains fire and chaos down on New York

1:33:40City. The Justice League is fully

1:33:42occupied elsewhere, so the Titans fight

1:33:45back on their own. However, they kind of

1:33:47prove completely ineffective against

1:33:49Trigon. Instead, they are there to

1:33:51emotionally support Raven, allowing her

1:33:54to unlock her most powerful form, her

1:33:56white form, and she banishes Trigon back

1:33:59to his dimension.

1:34:00>> [music]

1:34:00>> In the aftermath of all of this, Roy

1:34:02quits vigilante life and enters rehab,

1:34:04unaware that Cheshire is pregnant with

1:34:06his child. Starfire is told that she is

1:34:09banished from Tamaran because she teamed

1:34:12up with Raven. However, she doesn't

1:34:14really mind. She never loved Tamaran,

1:34:16and she's beginning to love Earth. She

1:34:18and Dick also officially start dating.

1:34:20The Teen Titans stand stronger than

1:34:22ever, preparing for what is to come. The

1:34:25[music] Flash of the Lightning is

1:34:26directed by Matthew Vaughn and is the

1:34:28final chapter of the Flash trilogy,

1:34:30tying together Barry's journey and key

1:34:33Crisis Chronicles events, with the title

1:34:35actually being drawn from an issue of

1:34:37Crisis on Infinite Earths. After the

1:34:38events of Justice League Doom, Barry

1:34:40Allen builds the Cosmic Treadmill to

1:34:42investigate his visions of the

1:34:44multiverse collapsing. He maps and

1:34:46designates universes, traveling to Earth

1:34:482, Earth 4, Earth 5, Earth 13, meeting a

1:34:52few heroes along the way who have

1:34:54cameos. Unbeknownst to Barry, along the

1:34:56way he's being stalked by a mysterious

1:34:58speedster revealed to be a younger,

1:35:00inexperienced Eobard Thawne, who doesn't

1:35:02yet know about the events of the first

1:35:04film. Thawne attacks Barry on what they

1:35:06now designate as Earth 72, breaking

1:35:09Barry's universe tracking device and

1:35:11negating his ability to vibrate back due

1:35:13to Thawne's negative speed force energy.

1:35:15Now, both speedsters are stranded in the

1:35:17multiverse. Barry and Thawne have landed

1:35:20in the 31st century of this world, a

1:35:22thousand years after what is known as

1:35:24the Great Disaster, which left the world

1:35:26in ruins. Now inhabited by human-animal

1:35:29hybrids, they encounter Kamandi, played

1:35:31by Tanner Buchanan, who explains that

1:35:33the world is ruled by a ruthless

1:35:35dictator known as Gorilla Grodd. Forced

1:35:38to team up to survive, Barry, Thawne,

1:35:40Kamandi, and Kamandi's crew infiltrate

1:35:42Gorilla City. However, Grodd's psychic

1:35:44powers allow him to turn Thawne against

1:35:46Barry, also because Thawne was itching

1:35:48to do so. The heroes are captured but

1:35:50later freed by Solovar, who leads a

1:35:52rebellion against Gorilla Grodd. Barry

1:35:54fights Grodd, losing his mask in the

1:35:56process. Thawne battles Solovar and

1:35:58other gorillas. While seeing Barry's

1:36:01face, he recognizes him from the Flash

1:36:03Museum, where Barry Allen is recorded as

1:36:05an ally of the Flash. Having finally

1:36:08learned Barry's identity, nothing is to

1:36:10stop him from going back in time to kill

1:36:12Barry when he was a kid. The heroes

1:36:14ultimately defeat Grodd, and Solovar

1:36:16takes over as leader. However, a bigger

1:36:18problem emerges. Grodd's headpiece was

1:36:21what blocked Barry's ability to vibrate

1:36:23back, not what they thought, which was

1:36:25the negative speed force energy. Now

1:36:27knowing Barry's true identity, Thawne

1:36:29escapes and races to kill a younger

1:36:30Barry Allen. Barry chases him across

1:36:32universes, leading to cameo-filled stops

1:36:34along the way. Their battle culminates

1:36:36in the year 2000 on what they think is

1:36:39Earth 1, where Barry recreates the fight

1:36:41from the first movie. Barry saves his

1:36:43younger self and allows his mother to

1:36:44die. Thawne loses his powers, Barry

1:36:46taunts him and leaves, keeping the

1:36:48timeline intact. However, it's revealed

1:36:50that Thawne isn't from Earth 1's future,

1:36:52but an alternate universe where the

1:36:53present day is the 24th century, hinting

1:36:55at a bigger revelation. Earth 1's

1:36:57timeline does not have a future past

1:37:002018. That is where things end. Barry

1:37:03returns to the present, only to realize

1:37:05that he's in the wrong universe, as his

1:37:07iris is nowhere to be found. The past he

1:37:09visited wasn't a loop, but a parallel

1:37:12event happening the same way elsewhere.

1:37:14Lost in the multiverse, Barry tries

1:37:16vibrating back to Earth 1, but ends up

1:37:18vibrating through realities, desperately

1:37:20trying to find his way home. Instead, he

1:37:22ends up in the antimatter universe,

1:37:24where he is captured by Mobius, also

1:37:27known as the Anti-Monitor. Back on Earth

1:37:291, Iris waits for Barry's return,

1:37:32unaware of his fate. And she has big

1:37:34news to share with him. She's pregnant.

2018

1:37:362018 brings with it a few solo movies

1:37:38that cap off a few of the major

1:37:40franchises of the Chronicles. However,

1:37:42unlike in Marvel, the big finale is not

1:37:44going to start until 2019, even if it

1:37:47does take place in 2018. Superman: Man

1:37:49of Tomorrow is directed by Joe Johnston

1:37:51and is the first Superman-titled movie

1:37:53since 2010, doubling as a movie about

1:37:56Supergirl and also the Legion of

1:37:58Super-Heroes. Set in the 31st century,

1:38:00we start the movie off by focusing on

1:38:01the newly formed Legion of Super-Heroes,

1:38:03which was formed by Skyler Gisondo as

1:38:05Lightning Lad, Amy Jackson as Saturn

1:38:06Girl, and Colton Haynes as Cosmic Boy,

1:38:08with two other recruits, which are Jesse

1:38:10Rath as Brainiac 5 and Chris Wood as

1:38:13Mon-El. The film opens with the Legion

1:38:15battling their old enemies, the Fatal

1:38:16Five, and one old enemy they previously

1:38:19defeated, the Time Trapper, who together

1:38:21proves too powerful. So, with no other

1:38:23choice, Brainiac 5 sends the team back

1:38:25in time to recruit their inspiration,

1:38:27the one and only hero of the 21st

1:38:30century, Superboy. However, when they

1:38:32arrive in Smallville, obviously history

1:38:34is not what they expected. Instead of

1:38:36just Superboy, they find a fully grown

1:38:38Superman in a world filled with heroes.

1:38:41Clark and Kara agree to help and are

1:38:43transported to the year 3018. Arriving

1:38:46in the future, Clark and Kara meet the

1:38:47other members of the Legion, initially

1:38:49distrusting Brainiac 5 for obvious

1:38:51reasons. Kara is initially drawn to

1:38:53Mon-El at first, but eventually falls

1:38:55for Brainy, a romance that becomes

1:38:57mutual. The two Supers join in with the

1:38:59Legion of Super-Heroes to face off

1:39:00against the Fatal Five and the Time

1:39:02Trapper, and then it's revealed that the

1:39:03Time Trapper is actually Superboy,

1:39:05played by Joshua Orpin. The figure the

1:39:07Legion once idolized now has been

1:39:10twisted by time. Superboy, having

1:39:12watched his loved ones die over

1:39:13centuries, left Earth in the 23rd

1:39:15century to search for Krypton, but then

1:39:18became lost in space for centuries.

1:39:20Along this time, Superboy, who is a lot

1:39:22more powerful than our Superman, did not

1:39:24age at all past the age of 18.

1:39:26Superboy's tragic backstory culminated

1:39:28in him discovering the Miracle Machine,

1:39:29which granted him time manipulation

1:39:31powers, but also corrupted his body,

1:39:33turning him into the Time Trapper.

1:39:35However, in this version of the DC

1:39:37Universe, the Miracle Machine breaks

1:39:38after one usage and the Time Trapper was

1:39:40not granted enough power to undo

1:39:42everything, his ultimate goal. So, he

1:39:45seeks out another Miracle Machine, and

1:39:47as it turns out, there's one under the

1:39:49protection of the Legion of Superheroes.

1:39:51Supergirl and four other members of the

1:39:52Legion of Superheroes fight the Fatal

1:39:54Five while Superman and Mon-El take on

1:39:56Superboy/the Time Trapper directly,

1:39:58hoping to reason with him. Superman

1:40:00nearly convinces him to stop, but he

1:40:03doesn't. Superboy kills Mon-El in a

1:40:05final act of rage, solidifying his

1:40:07complete descent into madness. The

1:40:09heroes ultimately, however, do take him

1:40:11down, ending in Superboy's death.

1:40:14Following Superboy's defeat, Supergirl

1:40:16decides to stay in what is now known as

1:40:18Earth-50. She's in love with Brainiac 5,

1:40:20the Legion needs a new member, and

1:40:22Earth-50 needs a replacement for

1:40:24Superboy. Clark returns to Earth-1, but

1:40:26upon arrival, he finds that in the brief

1:40:28time he was gone, since this was not

1:40:30time travel, it was multiversal travel,

1:40:32something cataclysmic has happened on

1:40:34Earth. And that leads right into the

1:40:36next movie, Green Lantern Blackest

1:40:38Night.

1:40:40is the fourth and final Green Lantern

1:40:41movie, which is also directed by Joseph

1:40:43Kosinski and it doubles as a Captain

1:40:45America Civil War type Justice League

1:40:47event, starting with the League missing

1:40:49all but one of its founding members, Hal

1:40:51Jordan, while the team is revealed to

1:40:53have recruited a couple new heroes.

1:40:55Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner,

1:40:57originally Hal's ring's first choice,

1:40:59but he was in a coma at the time. Ray

1:41:01Palmer, aka the Atom, played by John

1:41:03Krasinski. Anthony Carrigan as Rex

1:41:05Mason, aka Metamorpho. And Hartley

1:41:08Sawyer as Ralph Dibny, aka the Elongated

1:41:10Man, debuting alongside his wife,

1:41:12Natalie Dreyfuss, as Sue Dibny. The

1:41:14previous Green Lantern movie ended with

1:41:15the Blackest Night prophecy beginning

1:41:17and Black Hand rising from the dead.

1:41:19That end credit scene is revealed to

1:41:21have happened right before the events of

1:41:22this movie, and he is immediately

1:41:24approached by the person who brought him

1:41:25back to life, Nekron, voiced by Keith

1:41:27David, the cosmic embodiment of death.

1:41:30Because the Guardians altered the Book

1:41:31of Oa, Nekron was able to step towards

1:41:34the mortal plane. He chose William Hand

1:41:36as his avatar to create the Black

1:41:38Lantern Corps to attack Earth, which is

1:41:40revealed to be the center of the

1:41:41universe and the origin of all life.

1:41:43Meanwhile, Nekron directly assaults Oa

1:41:46on his own, recruiting and raising from

1:41:48the dead Sinestro, Atrocitus, Dex-Starr,

1:41:51Saint Walker, and every other deceased

1:41:52member of the Green Lantern Corps. Back

1:41:54on Earth, the dead begin to rise,

1:41:56focusing primarily on the heroes of

1:41:58Earth so as to stop the one thing that

1:42:00could potentially stop the Black Lantern

1:42:02Corps. And this mostly manifests itself

1:42:04with dead villains coming back to life.

1:42:06They don't, however, after bring back

1:42:08the actors, the ones without masks could

1:42:09look at zombies and the one with masks

1:42:11could just be masked. [music] And how it

1:42:12works is that the Black Lantern ring

1:42:14returns them their costume or whatever

1:42:17they died in, because that would be the

1:42:18most interesting visually. To fight

1:42:20against this horde of zombies, the

1:42:22Justice League and Teen Titans join in

1:42:24on the fight, the Teen Titans being

1:42:25aided by Ravager, returning from the

1:42:27first Teen Titans movie. Hal Jordan, now

1:42:29closely bonded with Oliver Queen, leads

1:42:32the fight. With support from the Blue

1:42:34and Star Sapphire Lanterns, the Green

1:42:36Lanterns deploy four agents to recruit

1:42:38members from all the other Corps. John

1:42:40Stewart Bleez of the Red Lanterns, Guy

1:42:42Gardner recruits Soranik Natu of the

1:42:45Yellow Lanterns, who secretly plans to

1:42:47betray them, Kilowog recruits Indigo-1

1:42:50of the Indigo Tribe, and Gnort is sent

1:42:52to the Orange Lanterns, where he

1:42:54discovers that only one member exists,

1:42:56Larfleeze, [music] who is paranoid and

1:42:58greedy, attacks and kills Gnort, forcing

1:43:01the other Lanterns to show up, subdue,

1:43:03and then forcibly recruit him. The

1:43:05recruiting Lanterns return to Oa,

1:43:06unleashing a combined multi-spectrum

1:43:08blast that injures Nekron. Nekron,

1:43:11however, achieved his goal, taking his

1:43:13hidden agent, Scar of the Guardians,

1:43:15along with his army of Black Lanterns

1:43:17back to Earth. On Earth, Scar helps

1:43:19Nekron release the Entity, the cosmic

1:43:22embodiment of life and the counterpart

1:43:24to Nekron, which was kept on Earth for

1:43:26its own protection. Nekron begins

1:43:28[music] attacking it with every blow,

1:43:30all living beings start to weaken.

1:43:32Heroes begin genuinely dying, rising

1:43:35then as Black Lanterns, forcing the now

1:43:37dwindling Justice League and Teen Titans

1:43:40into an impossible battle where even if

1:43:42they defeat someone, one of them dying

1:43:44means they come back as a new Black

1:43:46Lantern, kind of like Game of Thrones

1:43:48and the White Walkers. Hal Jordan,

1:43:49desperate, bonds with the Entity just as

1:43:51he did with Parallax, becoming the first

1:43:54and only White Lantern. Hal fights

1:43:56Nekron alone, buying time for the

1:43:58Rainbow Corps, one member of each Corps,

1:44:01to arrive on Earth. The Rainbow Corps

1:44:03then fight Nekron as Hal diverts his

1:44:05attention to the Black Lantern battery.

1:44:07Soranik Natu, meanwhile, is blinded by

1:44:09vengeance, abandons them to kill Hal,

1:44:11allowing Nekron to overpower the heroes

1:44:13and then free Larfleeze. Hal, chased by

1:44:16Nekron and an army of Black Lanterns,

1:44:18flies right into the battery, and

1:44:19actually then creates a second [music]

1:44:21White Battery, the one for the White

1:44:23Lantern Corps. He distributes White

1:44:25Lantern rings, turning dozens of what

1:44:27was Black Lanterns into White Lanterns.

1:44:30[music] Hal then defeats Soranik Natu,

1:44:32fights Black Hand, and John Stewart

1:44:34battles Larfleeze while the remaining

1:44:36heroes take on Nekron. Realizing there's

1:44:38only one way to win, Hal, using the

1:44:40power of the Entity, forcibly pulls in

1:44:42the rings of each member of the Lantern

1:44:44Corps, the orange of Larfleeze, the pink

1:44:46of Carol Ferris, the red of Bleez, and

1:44:48the indigo of Indigo-1, wielding every

1:44:50single ring in the emotional spectrum.

1:44:52In one final move, he flies directly

1:44:55into Nekron, unleashing a massive blast

1:44:57that destroys his physical body. The

1:44:59Black Lantern rings all disintegrate and

1:45:01the corpses collapse lifelessly. The

1:45:03strain of using every ring in the

1:45:05emotional spectrum, however, kills Hal

1:45:07Jordan. The rings return to their

1:45:08original users while Hal's green and

1:45:11blue rings fly off to find a new

1:45:12recruit. The White Lantern rings wither

1:45:14away, permanently resurrecting only the

1:45:16recently deceased. The Entity leaves

1:45:18Hal's body as his final breath and flies

1:45:21right back to his containment. With

1:45:22Nekron defeated, it seems that the

1:45:24prophecy has actually been avoided, but

1:45:26it actually has not. That was not the

1:45:28real Blackest Night. For a brief moment,

1:45:30death ruled over life, opening a rift

1:45:33between the matter and anti-matter

1:45:35universes, allowing the Anti-Monitor to

1:45:38completely step through. In a twist,

1:45:40it's revealed that this was the

1:45:41Anti-Monitor's plan all along,

1:45:43manipulating events since the second

1:45:45Green Lantern movie to push the

1:45:46Guardians into rewriting their rules,

1:45:48triggering Blackest Night, and

1:45:49ultimately granting him access to the

1:45:52matter universe. And now, the real

1:45:54Blackest Night is coming, and it's not

1:45:56life versus death, it's matter versus

1:45:58anti-matter, and anti-matter is going to

1:46:01win. In a post-credit scene, Hal Jordan

1:46:03wakes up in a strange alternate

1:46:04dimension that will later be revealed to

1:46:06be Purgatory. He is then approached by

1:46:09the Spectre. Okay, so where exactly were

1:46:11Wonder Woman, Batman, and Aquaman during

1:46:13all of that? Well, let's find out,

1:46:15starting with Wonder Woman: Fury of the

1:46:17Gods, directed by George Miller and

1:46:20acting as the most direct sequel to the

1:46:22Trinity movie, as it brings together the

1:46:24worlds of both the old and new gods,

1:46:27while introducing a few of the New Gods

1:46:29heroes. Mister Miracle and Big Barda,

1:46:32played by Adam Scott and Megan Gale,

1:46:33respectively, escape Apokolips shortly

1:46:35before the events of Trinity, leading to

1:46:37an entire series of events happening

1:46:39beforehand of Darkseid's Elite going

1:46:41after them, reaching a new deal with New

1:46:43Genesis, and then returning, [music]

1:46:44explaining why Darkseid's Elite weren't

1:46:46on Apokolips during Trinity, and also

1:46:48Mister Miracle and Big Barda weren't

1:46:50either. After Trinity, Darkseid took a

1:46:52few years to rebuild Apokolips, rally

1:46:54his forces, and then attack Earth in

1:46:57revenge with the goal of taking over as

1:47:00Earth's gods. Having learned this, Scott

1:47:02and Barda head to Earth to warn its

1:47:04heroes, tracking down Donna Troy,

1:47:06previously known to them as Fury, who

1:47:08happened to be separate from the Titans

1:47:09at the time. Donna turns to Wonder

1:47:11Woman, and then Diana, Donna, Mister

1:47:13Miracle, and Big Barda enter the world

1:47:14of the gods to warn the three leads of

1:47:17the old gods and rally them together.

1:47:19Meanwhile, in New Genesis, Orion, played

1:47:22by Jeremy Allen White, argues with

1:47:24Highfather, played by Mark Hamill, about

1:47:25going to stop Darkseid, deciding to go

1:47:27against his father's wishes and heading

1:47:29to Earth. With time running short, the

1:47:31heroes split up. Diana is joined by

1:47:32Mister Miracle as she calls Aquaman for

1:47:35help, because Poseidon can only be

1:47:36reached from underwater. Diana tells

1:47:38Aquaman everything and the dangers of

1:47:40his journey, and so Aquaman calls in

1:47:42backup, revealed to have a sidekick,

1:47:44Aqualad, played by Caleb McLaughlin.

1:47:46Diana enhances his trident with her

1:47:47lasso of truth, which allows it to

1:47:49unlock Poseidon's palace. Meanwhile,

1:47:52Donna and Barda go to Themyscira and are

1:47:54joined by Artemis, played by Natalie

1:47:55Dormer, to find the entrance to Mount

1:47:58Olympus, where they meet Zeus and then

1:48:00warn him. Unfortunately, Darkseid

1:48:02arrives to attack Mount Olympus earlier

1:48:04than expected, and the old gods are

1:48:06still entirely scattered. Mister Miracle

1:48:08is asked to wait for Aquaman to return,

1:48:10while Diana flies towards the entrance

1:48:12to Tartarus, through which she treks to

1:48:14find Hades. Mister Miracle is tracked

1:48:16down by Orion, who offers his services

1:48:18after a brief fight. Aquaman emerges

1:48:20alongside Aqualad, Mera, Poseidon, and

1:48:23the full might of Atlantis, and Poseidon

1:48:26transports all of them to Mount Olympus

1:48:28to join in on the fight. In Tartarus,

1:48:30Diana makes a deal with Hades to gain

1:48:32his help, and they both join into Mount

1:48:34Olympus. Zeus fights Darkseid

1:48:36one-on-one. Poseidon faces Steppenwolf,

1:48:39and now Hades attacks Granny Goodness,

1:48:41while everyone else fights a bunch of

1:48:42Parademons or other members of

1:48:44Darkseid's Elite. While everything

1:48:46starts to go kind of well, Darkseid

1:48:48manages to get the upper hand and kills

1:48:51Zeus, causing a disturbance in the

1:48:53Pantheon of gods, which prompts

1:48:54Highfather to intervene and attack

1:48:56Darkseid. Wonder Woman, however, manages

1:48:59to talk everyone down, creating a new

1:49:01deal between the three sects of gods,

1:49:03giving Darkseid another defeat, but not

1:49:05without having caused a major damage.

1:49:08These two back-to-back defeats a few

1:49:09years apart lead Darkseid to the

1:49:11conclusion that physical strength alone

1:49:13will not be enough to take over the

1:49:15universe. He needs the Anti-Life

1:49:17Equation. Because of the entire turn of

1:49:18events of this movie and because she was

1:49:20given life by Zeus, Diana is then chosen

1:49:22as the next ruler of Olympus.

1:49:25Fortunately, Diana made a deal with

1:49:26Hades giving him her place in the line

1:49:29of succession, allowing Hades to become

1:49:31the new ruler of Olympus. And because of

1:49:33this, Poseidon then leaves yet again,

1:49:36taking the Atlanteans right back to

1:49:37Atlantis with him. For the time being,

1:49:39Diana, Donna, Mr. Miracle, and Big Barda

1:49:41remain on Olympus to help rebuild, while

1:49:43Orion is banished from New Genesis for

1:49:45defying orders. And so, he remains as

1:49:47well. Diana officially offers all of

1:49:49them membership to the Justice League.

1:49:51Shortly after they do return to Earth,

1:49:53specifically to Themyscira, as they are

1:49:55called back as the dead began to rise.

1:49:57It'll be revealed that this takes place

1:49:59right as Blackest Night was about to

1:50:01begin. And that Wonder Woman and also

1:50:03Aquaman had their own versions of

1:50:04Blackest Night that we didn't see in

1:50:06that movie, where they fought Black

1:50:07Lanterns on Themyscira and in Atlantis.

1:50:10Batman: The Dark Knight Rises is the

1:50:12fourth and final Batman movie in the

1:50:14Crisis Chronicles, the sixth if you

1:50:16count World's Finest and Trinity, but

1:50:18the first since the first Batman movie

1:50:20in 2008 to focus entirely on Bruce

1:50:23Wayne. It's directed by Matt Reeves and

1:50:25serves as his final DCMU project. Bruce,

1:50:28now back on the streets, puts together a

1:50:29new batsuit and picks on Azrael alone,

1:50:32defeating him in the first act. Though

1:50:33Azrael escapes and then injures Jason

1:50:35Todd. Seeing Jason as a misguided child

1:50:38in need of guidance, Bruce takes him in

1:50:40as his second Robin. Barbara Gordon has

1:50:42fully embraced her role as Oracle,

1:50:44excelling beyond her time as Batgirl.

1:50:46Meanwhile, Ra's al Ghul, believing

1:50:48Gotham is beyond saving, plans to

1:50:49destroy it by allying with Gotham's

1:50:51criminals, including the Scarecrow,

1:50:53Joker recasting the late Heath Ledger

1:50:55with Christian Bale, and Harley Quinn.

1:50:57The second act follows Batman and

1:50:59Robin's year-long battle against the

1:51:01League of Assassins to reclaim Gotham.

1:51:03Ra's funds Joker's efforts to slow

1:51:05Batman down, while ordering Scarecrow to

1:51:07develop a deadlier toxin. Joker has

1:51:10always hated the idea of the Bat Family,

1:51:12and so he goes after them, setting a

1:51:13trap for Selina Kyle, Barbara, and

1:51:15Robin, brutally beating all of them with

1:51:17a crowbar before leaving them as bait.

1:51:20Jason breaks free, but that triggers an

1:51:21explosion, and while everyone else

1:51:23escapes, he does not and dies just as

1:51:26Batman arrives. Grief-stricken, Bruce

1:51:28tracks down Joker and nearly beats him

1:51:30to death, but stops right short of

1:51:32crossing that line. Flashbacks using

1:51:34de-aging technology revisits Bruce's

1:51:36Batman Begins-style origin of being

1:51:38trained by the League of Assassins. Ra's

1:51:40offers him his place and also his

1:51:42daughter, Talia, as a bride. Bruce

1:51:44rejects them both before leaving the

1:51:46League. In the final act, Ra's attempts

1:51:48to release Scarecrow's toxin, but is

1:51:50stopped by Bruce. Exposed to the toxin,

1:51:52Batman hallucinates his parents' murder,

1:51:54but fights through it, defeats

1:51:55Scarecrow, and ultimately even bests

1:51:57Ra's al Ghul in single combat,

1:52:00reclaiming his city and company along

1:52:02the way. Before dying, similar-ish to

1:52:04the way that he died in Batman Begins or

1:52:06Arkham City, Ra's reveals that Talia

1:52:08abandoned him years ago to form her own

1:52:10organization, and that she has a son,

1:52:13and that son is Bruce's. Determined to

1:52:15find that son, Bruce sets off, but is

1:52:17soon called back to the United States as

1:52:19he sees the Blackest Night on the news,

1:52:21prompting him to abandon his search and

1:52:24rejoin the League. 2019 marks the grand

1:52:27finale of the DCMU's Crisis Chronicles

2019

1:52:29with a two-part event, both directed by

1:52:32James Gunn, who in this timeline was

1:52:34fired by Disney a bit earlier and

1:52:35immediately picked up by DC, given the

1:52:38finale of the saga. These two movies are

1:52:41Justice League Crisis on Veners part

1:52:42one, releasing near the beginning of the

1:52:44year, and Justice League Crisis on

1:52:46Veners part two, releasing near the end.

1:52:48The only two movies releasing this year

1:52:50because they are too big to allow for

1:52:52any other movies. And also, they are one

1:52:54continuous story, so you can't really

1:52:56place any movies in between. The film

1:52:58opens with the origin of the Monitor,

1:53:00merging elements of Krona and Pariah to

1:53:02form them all together to simplify

1:53:03things into just one character. In an

1:53:05alternate universe, the Guardians of the

1:53:07Universe attempted to stop scientist Mar

1:53:09Novu from traveling to the dawn of time.

1:53:11Despite their efforts of sending the

1:53:13Manhunters after him, they fail as Novu

1:53:16hacks them and proceeds, unknowingly

1:53:18then allowing the Great Darkness, the

1:53:20one other thing that existed at the time

1:53:22aside from the light of God, to manifest

1:53:24by possessing him. The Darkness creates

1:53:26a duplicate of Novu from antimatter. It

1:53:28calls itself Mobius. They fight, and

1:53:30Novu wins their initial battle,

1:53:32banishing Mobius to the antimatter

1:53:34universe. But then, Novu is chosen by

1:53:36the light of creation to become the

1:53:38immortal Monitor, tasked with keeping

1:53:40his counterpart, the Anti-Monitor, at

1:53:42bay, spending the next billions of years

1:53:44doing exactly that. Pretty recently,

1:53:46Novu found a drowning girl, Lyla

1:53:48Michaels, who turns out to be

1:53:49superpowered and later becomes his ally,

1:53:52Harbinger, all on some other alternate

1:53:54universe, let's say Earth 112, I don't

1:53:57know. In the present day, the Crime

1:53:58Syndicate of Earth 3, led by Ultraman,

1:54:01invades Earth 1 using a device powered

1:54:03by Johnny Quick, although it's a process

1:54:05that kills him instantly. Honestly, just

1:54:07because he's played by Ezra Miller, and

1:54:09I don't want Ezra Miller to be in this

1:54:10movie any more than he needs to be.

1:54:11Barry Allen is revealed to be imprisoned

1:54:13and tortured by the Psycho Pirate, whose

1:54:15emotion-controlling abilities render

1:54:17Barry completely susceptible to mind

1:54:19control. Under duress, Barry is forced

1:54:21to run, powering the Anti-Monitor's

1:54:23antimatter cannon. Elsewhere, Hal Jordan

1:54:26awakens in purgatory and is confronted

1:54:28by Jim Corrigan, the Spectre. Jim

1:54:30explains that Spectres are replaced

1:54:32every 100 years, and that the

1:54:34Anti-Monitor strategically launched his

1:54:36attack during the moment of weakness.

1:54:38Hal is chosen as the new Spectre and

1:54:40undergoes brutal training, forced to

1:54:42sever all earthly ties before witnessing

1:54:45the face of God. With a weakened roster,

1:54:48the Justice League struggles against the

1:54:49Crime Syndicate until reinforcements

1:54:51arrive, the Trinity and the Teen Titans.

1:54:54The Syndicate is defeated, but begs not

1:54:57to be sent back, revealing that Earth 3

1:54:59is dying. Remembering Barry's warnings,

1:55:01the League choose to evacuate Earth 3's

1:55:03population despite the Syndicate's

1:55:05protests. The League constructs a portal

1:55:08powered by Wally West to transport Earth

1:55:103's people. As Wally runs, the film

1:55:12intercuts with Barry running, his forced

1:55:14speed fueling the Anti-Monitor's cannon,

1:55:17a cannon that then fires, releasing an

1:55:19antimatter wave that fully destroys

1:55:20Earth 3 before the Justice League are

1:55:22able to even get there. A sliver of

1:55:24antimatter seeps through the portal

1:55:26created by Wally, wiping out the Crime

1:55:28Syndicate before it closes. The League

1:55:30is left in shock. Suddenly, Harbinger

1:55:33appears and transports all of them to

1:55:35the Monitor's ship, where heroes from

1:55:37all of the other worlds that have passed

1:55:39the Monitor's test, including 2, 4, 5,

1:55:4213, 14, and 50, have all already

1:55:45gathered. Meanwhile, Hal Jordan

1:55:46completes his training, becomes the

1:55:48Spectre as Jim Corrigan then withers

1:55:50away. The Monitor explains that Earth is

1:55:52the center and origin of each universe,

1:55:55which is why the Anti-Monitor targets it

1:55:57and why he can only really recruit

1:55:59heroes from it. In the billions of years

1:56:01preparing for this, the Monitor built

1:56:02devices called cosmic towers on almost

1:56:05every single universe in the multiverse.

1:56:06And now, on the worlds that passed his

1:56:08test, the towers arrive from the ground,

1:56:10blocking the antimatter wave on these

1:56:12worlds. The antimatter wave destroys

1:56:14literally every single other world as

1:56:16the heroes can do nothing but watch. As

1:56:18for the rest of the universes, the

1:56:20Anti-Monitor sends an army of shadow

1:56:22demons, evil beings made completely out

1:56:24of the Great Darkness, who are sent to

1:56:26destroy the towers. Psycho Pirate is

1:56:28revealed to be the Martian Manhunter,

1:56:29who after the events of Justice League

1:56:31Doom went off to Mars, but never

1:56:32arrived. Instead, on the way there, he

1:56:34was sucked into a wormhole created by

1:56:36Mobius and arrived in the antimatter

1:56:38dimension, where he was then forced to

1:56:40wear the Medusa Mask, which was created

1:56:42originally by the Anti-Monitor, which

1:56:44made it so the Anti-Monitor completely

1:56:46controlled him. The combined powers of

1:56:48the Martians and the Medusa Mask is how

1:56:50they are able to control the Flash,

1:56:52forcing him to run. Picking up on

1:56:54subconscious clues that J'onn J'onzz

1:56:56pushed through, Barry Allen realizes

1:56:58that he's the Martian Manhunter, his old

1:57:00friend, which will come into play in the

1:57:02next movie. [music] With Hal reborn as

1:57:04the Spectre, Barry is now slowly

1:57:06breaking free from Psycho Pirate's

1:57:07control, the multiverse collapsing, the

1:57:10stage is set for Crisis on Infinite

1:57:12Earths. Then, in a post-credit scene,

1:57:14Harbinger is revealed to be under the

1:57:16control of the Anti-Monitor. And

1:57:18finally, later that year, Justice League

1:57:20Crisis on Infinite Earths part two.

1:57:22Jumping to a few months later, it's

1:57:24revealed that Earths 4 and 14 have

1:57:26already fallen. The heroes are deployed

1:57:28across the cosmic towers, which need to

1:57:31be defended 24/7. Meanwhile, the new

1:57:34Spectre, Hal Jordan, recruits one

1:57:35champion from each world to infiltrate

1:57:37the Anti-Monitor's dimension and uncover

1:57:40the source of the antimatter waves.

1:57:42These champions are, for the most part,

1:57:43just the main heroes of each world,

1:57:45except for Earth 1, where Wally West,

1:57:47using his speed, volunteers first

1:57:49because he thinks Barry is somewhere out

1:57:51there in the multiverse, and maybe

1:57:53they'll find him. While most heroes

1:57:54defend the cosmic towers from shadow

1:57:56demons, Batman in the question

1:57:57investigate Harbinger, uncovering too

1:57:59late that she is a sleeper agent for the

1:58:01Anti-Monitor and has been the entire

1:58:03time. Before they can stop her, she

1:58:05kills the Monitor. As he dies, he

1:58:07transfers his last cosmic energy to

1:58:09Supergirl, giving her the ability to

1:58:11sense approaching destruction. The rest

1:58:13of the heroes on the Monitor's ship

1:58:14battle and defeat Harbinger. Meanwhile,

1:58:16in the antimatter dimension, Barry

1:58:18manages to get through to the Martian

1:58:19Manhunter, who then removes and destroys

1:58:21the Medusa Mask. Unfortunately, Barry

1:58:23already generated enough energy to

1:58:25destroy the entire multiverse, and there

1:58:28is a force field around the antimatter

1:58:30cannon, so the Martian Manhunter can't

1:58:31get in it. So, Barry has no other choice

1:58:34and runs faster than ever before, while

1:58:36the champions then arrive and Wally West

1:58:39witnesses as Barry Allen destroys the

1:58:41antimatter cannon. The speed required

1:58:43for this, however, causes him to start

1:58:44to fade away into the Speed Force.

1:58:46Although, before he does, he manages to

1:58:48tell Wally to keep up the mantle of the

1:58:50Flash. He briefly stabilizes himself in

1:58:52reality long enough to find Iris West,

1:58:55using the fact that she is his lightning

1:58:57rod to do so, learn that she's pregnant,

1:58:59and then say his final goodbye before

1:59:01vanishing into the speed force. Back in

1:59:03the anti-matter universe, Wally West

1:59:05becomes the Flash. Right after that,

1:59:07however, the Anti-Monitor arrives,

1:59:09overwhelming the champions who are

1:59:11teleported away by the Spectre, right

1:59:13back to the Monitor's ship. With only a

1:59:15few Earths left, the Anti-Monitor

1:59:17doesn't actually need his cannon

1:59:18anymore. He can personally invade each

1:59:20world, destroy the tower, and then

1:59:22unleash a blast of energy from his own

1:59:25body to destroy Earth. He starts with

1:59:27Earth 72, destroying its cosmic tower,

1:59:29and wiping out the entire universe,

1:59:31killing Kamandi and Citizen Steel along

1:59:33the way. While everyone else present

1:59:35manages to escape and warn the others.

1:59:37Supergirl senses that Mobius' next stop

1:59:39is Earth 50, so every hero who is not

1:59:41occupied by an Earth and protecting it

1:59:44from shadow demons comes to this world

1:59:46to protect it. Supergirl, however,

1:59:47remains on the Monitor's ship as a

1:59:49backup plan for if they need to predict

1:59:51what the next world will be. Despite

1:59:53their effort, each world falls, a hero

1:59:55or two dies each time, and they are

1:59:57forced to retreat again and again. This

2:00:00all leads to one world remaining. The

2:00:02final battle reaches Earth 1, where

2:00:04Supergirl, now needing to stay on the

2:00:06Monitor's ship anymore, arrives, and the

2:00:07combined power of the Spectre, Lucifer's

2:00:10version of the Spectre, which is the

2:00:12Justice League Dark, as well as

2:00:13Supergirl with the power of the Monitor,

2:00:16come together to overwhelm the

2:00:17Anti-Monitor and the shadow demons with

2:00:19Supergirl landing a big final blow that

2:00:21destroys his armor. An act that kills

2:00:23Kara but leaves Mobius vulnerable enough

2:00:25that the remaining heroes finally land a

2:00:27real blow, forcing him to retreat into

2:00:29the anti-matter universe and closing the

2:00:31rift behind him. With just one world

2:00:34left, the heroes realize Mobius will

2:00:36return at some point stronger. They

2:00:38construct a time machine to travel to

2:00:40the end of time, again powered by Wally

2:00:42West, where he is performing. The final

2:00:45war begins, an army of heroes versus the

2:00:47Anti-Monitor and an endless shadow demon

2:00:50army. At some point, Guy Gardner is

2:00:52knocked out, so Batman forcibly takes

2:00:54his ring for himself, wielding it with

2:00:56shocking skill and landing a critical

2:00:58blow on Mobius. While the others hold

2:01:00off the shadow demons, Earth 1's

2:01:02Trinity, Superman, Batman, and Wonder

2:01:03Woman confront the Anti-Monitor by

2:01:05themselves, using Diana's Lasso of

2:01:07Truth, Clark's heat vision, and Batman's

2:01:09lantern ring, they deal the final

2:01:10strike, annihilating Mobius once and for

2:01:13all. With the fight over, the heroes are

2:01:14finally able to grieve their loved ones.

2:01:16Superman delivers, however, a final

2:01:18speech of hope, inspiring everyone else.

2:01:21This hope disrupts reality itself. There

2:01:23was never meant to be hope at the end of

2:01:25time, and this triggers a chain reaction

2:01:27that reboots the multiverse. What was

2:01:29once the end of time has become the dawn

2:01:31of time and a new prime universe, mostly

2:01:34based off of the history of Earth 1, but

2:01:35with elements of the original worlds of

2:01:37every surviving hero in the dawn of

2:01:39time. A portal then opens, the heroes

2:01:41step through, and they're each sent to

2:01:43different points of time in the new

2:01:45universe. The one and only remaining

2:01:47surviving duplicate is Earth-Two

2:01:49Superman, who, instead of stepping

2:01:51through the portal, requests the Spectre

2:01:53to take him to his wife, and the Spectre

2:01:55agrees. And so, that is it. That's the

2:01:58end of the Crisis Chronicles. This new

2:02:00world is not shown, nor is it really

2:02:02explored, not until the next chapter and

2:02:04the beginning of the next chronicles,

2:02:05whatever that would be, taking a break

2:02:07for a year, beginning in 2021, first

2:02:10with a movie called The Flash: Fastest

2:02:13Man Alive, focusing, obviously, on Wally

2:02:14West, and a TV show called Stargirl,

2:02:17focusing on what the timeline looks like

2:02:19when it comes to the JSA. And so, that

2:02:22is the end. This is the Crisis

2:02:25Chronicles. I really hope you enjoyed

2:02:26these videos, and thanks so much for

2:02:29watching.
