0:00Imagine you're cooking, but every
0:02ingredient is stored in a pantry across
0:04the kitchen. You would waste all your
0:06time running back and forth every time
0:08you needed something. So instead, you
0:10just keep all the ingredients right on
0:12the counter beside you. RAM in your
0:14computer works the same way. It keeps
0:17the programs and information you're
0:19currently using close to the computer's
0:21processor so it can access it fast. But
0:24if you open too many things, the counter
0:26will fill up and the computer slows
0:28down. Adding more RAM to your computer
0:31is like getting a bigger counter so the
0:33computer can handle more at once.
