0:02Solutions um so today we are doing some
0:06deep watering staks on a few citrus
0:09trees and a bunch of palm trees um so
0:11the Deep watering staks you may have
0:14seen them at like Lowe's or Home Depot
0:16these things here uh so this is a 14in
0:18one um they also come in 24 in uh
0:21sometimes 36 in but that's a little
0:23overkill for most situations um so we
0:25did the 24 in on the large palm trees
0:29and the two citrus trees and then we did
0:31the 14 inch on all the smaller palm
0:33trees so the pigy date palms
0:35Mediterranean fan Palms um all that
0:37stuff so um this customer had adjustable
0:42emitters on his Citrus he just had two
0:44adjustable heads on there but this
0:46pooling water happened after 5 maybe 10
0:49minutes of runtime so the water is
0:52really just soaking it I mean it's
0:54pulling up and it's not soaking in fast
0:56enough um which this is bad I mean
0:59you've got
1:02two almost three Ines of pooling water
1:05around the trunk of the tree so this is
1:07actually going to cause a trunk rot um
1:10over time uh when you have that much
1:11water standing around the tree it's
1:13going to start to rot out the bark so
1:16solution is these things with regulated
1:19emitters so these will get the water
1:21down deep into the root Zone where they
1:23should be and then these the cap comes
1:25right off and then you have a regulated
1:28head so this puts out two gallons per
1:30hour and there's four of them on each of
1:33the citus trees so now you know exactly
1:35how much water your plant is getting and
1:37it's getting down deep into the root
1:39Zone which just this alone is going to
1:41make a huge difference in how quickly
1:43these trees grow how well they do um how
1:47much they Thrive through the summer heat
1:48rather than wilting and dying um but
1:50you're also going to get a lot better
1:52fruit off of them as well so if you have
