Let's go to Sweden

0:24Okay. At JFK, just ran into the nicest
0:27subscriber. This is Valentina. 59, by
0:30the way, and I watch her stuff. So, a
0:33>> lot of fun.
0:33>> Thank you.
0:34>> Good for you. Awesome channel.
0:36>> And you're so cool, too. I could go on
0:37and on about all the things you told me
0:38about yourself.
0:39>> We have a lot in common. We've been to a
0:40lot of plus same places.
0:41>> Exactly. We're both going to Stockholm
0:43right now.
0:43>> Yeah, we're both going to Stockholm. I
0:44ran into here in the airport.
0:47>> Yay. Also, I brought this leather jacket
0:50just to look a little more chic in
0:52Europe. I think I might just start
0:54wearing it in New York. Like, why not? I
0:55love it. It's actually my dad's old
0:58leather jacket, believe it or not.

Arriving in Stockholm
1:06We landed in Stockholm. But I thought
1:09you should know I saw a little piece of
1:10luggage fall off the conveyor belt. I
1:12put it back on. Good Samaritan deed of
1:14the day.
1:16[Music]
1:18Everything is so clean.
1:22Cool. It's like an art installation. I
1:24haven't been here for a few years, but I
1:26remember that all the installations have
1:28a rocky texture and like there's a bunch
1:31of art installations and stuff. It's
1:32really cool. A lot cleaner than New York
1:34subway, let me tell you.
1:38Okay. Probably a little overly
1:39enthralled with the clean public
1:40transportation, but the New York City
1:42subway is your reference point. It's
1:44kind of hard not to be
1:50[Music]
1:54okay. So, I've been walking for a bit. I
1:56can't check into my Airbnb for like many
1:58more hours. It's pretty early in the
2:00morning and so I'm just getting my steps
2:01in. I packed pretty light. Very light,
2:03actually. Pretty proud of myself. And
2:05I'm going to find the first coffee shop
2:08that I think looks especially good.
2:10Like, not a chain ideally, not a tourist
2:12trap. We don't do that here. Uh-uh. We
2:14find authentic spots. So, that's what
2:16I'm in search of. Anyways, I'm walking
2:18towards Damlan, which is Oldtown
2:20Stockholm, and that is where I'm staying
2:23as well. And it's going to be awesome.
2:24Super cute already. Take a look.
2:30>> I don't know what this is. Half
2:32expecting to see Greta out here. Maybe.
2:36No, probably not.
Exploring Old Town
2:40>> Cute. Okay. So, like I said, I'm looking
2:43for Wow, this is so pretty. I love
2:46yellow houses. So, like I said, I am
2:48looking for and I'm carrying this
2:51because one gains two cobblestones,
2:54but I'm looking for a more non-ouristy
2:58coffee shop. And in my pursuit so far, I
3:01only see touristy ones. You know how I
3:04know? Because it couldn't be more
3:05obvious. You know, we have stuff like
3:06this. And I want to be off the beaten
3:09path.
3:10[Music]
3:24We laid under the willow tree. The last
3:28weekend of summer.
3:33>> So pretty. Okay, so it's probably still
3:36touristy, but you can't beat this view.
3:38This is the Nobel Prize Museum right
3:41here. Got my coffee.
3:44Feeling good.
3:48Grind never stops, baby.
3:52Do just a little bit of work. Just a
3:54little bit. See, cuz I don't have out of
3:56office days, okay? I grant myself those
3:59and I hereby do not grant myself one
4:02right now.
4:06[Music]
Meatballs
4:09Name a more Swedishl lookinging scene.
4:12I'll wait. You can't. Okay, I know I
4:15talked about waiting to get out of the
4:17touristy area and here I am in front of
4:18the Nobel Prize Museum still, but I was
4:23freaking hungry. And you know what? This
4:24is good. I mean, it can't not be good.
4:29M. We got the linganberry. We got the
4:31mashed potatoes. We got the meatballs.
4:34We got the pickled cucumber.
4:37We got the scenery. Boom.
Jet Lag diaries
4:41[Music]
4:43Okay, got food in my belly. We're good
4:45on that front. Still have a few more
4:47hours to kill before checking into the
4:49Airbnb. And let me tell you, I'm tired.
4:52It finally hit me. Did I even tell you
4:54guys that I uh got not even a lick of
4:56sleep on the flight? Cuz it's a weird
4:58flight. took off at like 6:30 p.m.
5:00Eastern time. I didn't get sleepy cuz it
5:02wasn't my body clock time to get sleepy
5:04until like an hour before landing and
5:06then, you know, they start a little bit
5:07of food, so you just don't sleep. And
5:09then a little bit of adrenaline from
5:10getting off the plane and getting into
5:11the city. But now it's hitting me and
5:13it's only 12:30 p.m. Let me know what
5:16you guys do in cases like this if you
5:18take a red eye. My plan is to push
5:20through until the end of the night, just
5:21like pass out at 9:00 p.m. or something
5:23like that. Anyway, it's really
5:25beautiful. I just have that like
5:26delirious jet laggy sleepiness, but
5:29that's okay.
5:30[Music]
5:34We are arriving at my Airbnb, which is
5:37not ready yet for check-in, but I think
5:39I can leave my bag in the courtyard. I
5:42just want to be able to drop this thing
5:43so I can freaking walk around cuz that I
5:45can do even though I'm tired. Okay,
5:47let's see. Please make sure the door
5:48closes after you in this weather. The
5:51door is hard to close. Oh my god, in
5:53this weather. That was probably from the
5:55winter. Bags dropped in this cute little
6:00courtyard area.
6:03If that's not the coolest thing you've
6:04ever seen,
6:07I don't know what is. Wow, I feel
Light as a feather
6:10perfect. Literally 2 minutes after I
6:12took that video of me being all tired.
6:14I'm feeling good. I dropped my bag, so
6:16I'm light as a feather. Anyway, let's
6:18explore.
6:22Oh my god, it's so perfect.
6:26Truly is unbeatable. Places in Northern
6:28Europe that I've been during the summer.
6:31Unbeatable. Oh, when you get a perfect
6:33day like this and everyone's outside and
6:35they just appreciate the good weather so
6:37much cuz they do not have it for most of
6:39the year. Chef's kiss. Just walking
6:41along the water and truth be told, I'm
6:44scoping out my running route for later.
6:46You know what? I'm a little worried
6:47about
6:49the cobblestones. I mean, am I going to
6:51run a New York City marathon without
6:53getting used to a little cobblestone
6:55action? No. But, uh, you know, something
6:58to consider. Sorry. That's the royal
7:01palace.
7:03That's the armory.
7:06Pretty cool.
7:11[Music]
Exploring Södermalm
7:17Look what I have stumbled upon. It never
7:21looks as pretty on camera. I know we got
7:24to walk down that.
7:27Okay, so for the longest time just now
7:30have been walking pretty aimlessly, but
7:32I looked on my map and I've gotten quite
7:34close to a really popular cafe that I
7:38saved on my map. I don't know when. So,
7:39we're going to go there, get like a cup
7:41of tea. I'm done with caffeine. There's
7:43like an herbal tea. All right, this is
7:45it. There's a lot of people out compared
7:47to other places around here. It's so
7:48funny the way that this is on the corner
7:50and has like the big windows. There's
7:52like sort of an equivalent in Santa
7:54Monica that this reminds me of. Primo
7:56Pasta, if you guys know it. Anyways,
7:58let's go in.
8:10And I'm tired again. But we got some
8:13tea. We got a nice setting. And I walked
8:16a long ways to get here. So, keeping the
8:18body moving. It's when I stop that I get
8:20tired. Still perfect day.
8:27All right. Struggling to stay awake. I
8:29have like an uh technically an hour
8:32before check-in, but I think if I go
8:33back now, I'll be good. Anyways, this is
8:35pretty cool. I just walked this whole
8:37street that I just walked along is
8:38pretty much all dedicated to pottery,
8:41glassear, stuff that people make with
8:43their hands in a really cool way. And
8:45then also photography and art. I just an
8:48artistic street, I guess. It's cool to
8:50like look in and see people being
8:51creative. Oh, I really like this. It's
8:53like impressionist art.
8:55[Music]
8:58pool view. Every corner is so pretty.
9:01Stunning.
9:04[Music]
Finally checking in
9:08We're in probably the tiniest Airbnb
9:11I've ever stayed in, but it's really
9:13cute and the space is used very
9:16efficiently. I'll give you a tour soon,
9:18but I need to I know I said I was going
9:20to power through. I'm just a zombie and
9:22it's it's only 2:20 p.m. So, I'm going
9:24to lay down for a little bit. just a
9:27little. I can do it. Here's the
9:29bathroom. Um, and we'll check back in
9:31soon. Okay, guys. I'm back out. I napped
Delirious
9:34for like 1 hour and 48 minutes on the
9:36longer side, but I feel so out of it
9:38that I do not doubt my ability to fall
9:40back asleep later. And I'll give you an
9:42Airbnb tour. I'm actually very impressed
9:44by the space layout and how they've used
9:47it. It's kind of like a masterass in
9:49tiny spaces. Look at all these bikers.
9:52So anyways, just going to walk along the
9:54water for a while, find some food when I
9:56get hungry, and try and bail out for a
9:58few more hours before heading back in.
10:02What a healthy society.
10:07That is so cool just how many people
10:09bike home from work. You see everyone
10:11commuting back and they're dressed so
10:13nicely, too. Everyone just looks pretty
10:14elegant.
10:20feel like you're supposed to be part of
10:21everyday society.
10:26[Music]
10:31[Music]
10:34All right, guys. A little delirious. So,
10:36forgive me for not being eloquent or
10:39articulate right now, but what I'm
10:41inspired by all of that going on.
10:43Healthy healthy people. People who are
10:45walking as fast as I do, that never
10:47happens. Anyways, I do in fact need to
10:50go on a run today for marathon training.
10:52Nothing crazy, an easy 5k, but like
10:54truly I just like a jog pace. But what a
10:56fun way to see the city, you know? So,
10:58now that I have my blood moving a little
11:00bit, back at my Airbnb, going to put on
11:02my running clothes and get right back
11:03out there and then find some dinner
11:04after that. How about that?
Let's get physical
11:07[Music]
11:11All right, let's be quick cuz the second
11:13I lose steam,
11:15that's not good.
11:17[Music]
11:19Okay, I'm debating putting on workout
11:22top, but honestly,
11:25I'm trying to get fewer things dirty, so
11:28I might just go out in this. And this is
11:29what most of the giries outside were
11:31just wearing on their run. So, I'm going
11:33to do the same. Can't stop me.
11:36Can't stop me. Let's do it.
11:38>> Well, that's neat.
11:43How cool was that? Feeling good.
11:46Stunning golden light. Oh, and a lot of
11:50people sitting out. Big old boats. Oh,
11:53going to need to get better at filming
11:55while running. This is replicating the
11:58Queensboro Bridge in New York. How about
12:00that? Okay, quick tiny walk break
12:02because Oh my god, it's completely
12:04idyllic. It's crazy.
12:06I think there's no place I'd rather be
12:08running right now.
12:09[Music]
12:11This run more pleasant. It is so crazy.
12:15I know it's shaky as hell footage, but
12:17have to go do that loop. Here's where I
12:19am in the rock. Oh my god. Are you
12:22kidding me?
12:24So,
12:26all right. I mean, at some point, I'm
12:27just going to have to stop taking views
12:29cuz it's like, okay, Shrek. Are we in
12:33Shrek? Cool.
12:35Some old looking boats. Things are going
12:38good. We are nice and steady. So cool.
12:42So cool. ever happened. So, I guess now
12:45might not be the time to talk, but this
12:47is my first marathon training run as I
12:50mentioned. Obviously, I just have to
12:51increase my mileage from here and that
12:53I'm not sure how it's going to go. A
12:56little nervous.
In search of food
12:59All right, back out for dinner. Just
13:00getting some more steps in. It's funny.
13:03I'm looking for authentic Swedish food,
13:05but pretty much all of them on this
13:07particular row are Italian. I can get
13:09Italian in New York. I can probably get
13:10Swedish in New York, too. But you know
13:12what I mean.
13:12[Music]
13:19So lively for a Tuesday night.
13:22Everyone's out and about having dinner
13:24out on the street. It's so so nice. I'm
13:26honestly not that hungry and I'm trying
13:27to eat well just with my training and
13:30stuff. So I might go to the little local
13:32market and pick up kind of like all a
13:35cart food thing. It's kind of boring.
13:36I'll find a table outside to eat. So I
13:38was taking part in the vibes. Well,
13:39let's run out. All right, guys. This is
13:41a problem cuz I'm in their little
13:43grocery store and I'm trying to hit my
13:45protein goals, right? So, I got a bunch
13:47of, you know, some skur, which is their
13:50Greek yogurt, and some like salami, you
13:52know, but then they freaking have this.
13:54And these are my favorite thing of all
13:57time. And so is Maribou, that yellow
13:58chocolate right there. So, I got a mix
14:00of protein and sweets. Okay, guys. I'm
Fine dining
14:04sitting outside of a restaurant, so I
14:06feel like I'm part of the action. But
14:08every place that I looked at was either
14:10Italian or it just wasn't it didn't have
14:12my name on it. So, you know what I like
14:14doing? Like I already said, I I like
14:16going to little local markets and
14:17getting it all a cart items that speak
14:20to me. And I'm also just not that
14:21hungry. So, anyways, I wanted to hit the
14:23protein goals, like I said, and get some
14:24yummy stuff. So, I'll show you my haul.
14:26We got raspberries. Already ate most of
14:28them. Drink 30 g of protein. We got
14:31other yogurts, both 15 g. And then the
14:34yummy stuff. This is my favorite Swedish
14:36chocolate. Maribou with dime mixed in
14:39there, which is like kind of toffee
14:41chewy chocolate. Chewy. And then I got
14:44just straight maribou milk chocolate,
14:45which is these are like the coins.
14:47They're addictive. I also got some
14:48salami.
14:50Yum. Okay. Favorite thing of all time,
14:53ghee flour. These little things are my
14:56absolute favorite. They're little
14:58cinnamon buns. They hit the perfect
15:00point of not too sweet and not too
15:02anything. They're just right. And you
15:04just can keep eating them. They sell
15:05them at IKEA as well in the US and
15:07around around the world if you want to
15:09try them. But I got them freshly baked
15:12here in Sweden.
15:14Going to eat some raspberries now.
15:17[Music]
15:25>> Okay, let's go back to the hotel room.
15:27You want to see what I was leaning you
15:28up against just now?
15:30My little protein drink. Pretty yummy. I
15:33thoroughly enjoyed my allocart
15:34experience while sitting with these
15:36diners. I think we should normalize just
15:39eating a bunch of random things as long
15:41as it tastes good to you and you need
15:43you meet your nutrition goals. Am I
15:45right?
15:46[Music]
Cozy
15:53>> Actually pretty cozy. My living room, my
15:56fan. Pretty cozy. I like it. The solo
16:00travel is going well. It is 10:08, so I
16:04made it until now. Honestly, I was kind
16:06of planning on just making it to like
16:089:00, but I took a long much needed
16:10shower. Now, the day tomorrow awaits us,
16:13and we're going to be well rested. Oh,
16:15we have some fun things tomorrow. I
16:16haven't told you guys. This is just a
16:18personal fun trip, but I am doing a
16:20little bit of business while I'm here
16:21because why not? So, anyways, until
16:23tomorrow. Turtle
16:25out. Oh my god, I actually know the
16:27Swedish word for turtle. Twa
16:30pada out.
Meeting cool people
16:34Good morning. How's it going? I am here
16:38in Southern Mom, which is I'm trying to
16:41find a Weirdly I get weird about filming
16:43when it's like quiet and there's no one
16:44around, but then there's one person
16:46around. Anyways, another beautiful sunny
16:48day as you can see. Just in a long
16:50sleeve, which will do me well today. I'm
16:52here at the Epidemic Sounds
16:54headquarters.
16:56Sounds like a New York meeting with the
16:57marketing team, which I'm super super
16:59excited about. I've been using Epidemic
17:00Sound for years. Link in description for
17:02a free trial. Not sponsored. I just love
17:04Epidemic Sound. And then we'll get the
17:06day going. I will admit. So, it's like
17:0810:00 a.m. right now, or 11:00 a.m.
17:09rather, which is when I would fully be
17:11still asleep in New York. So, it's like
17:13these morning hours that obviously the
17:15jet lag hits pretty hard, but we'll wake
17:18up.
17:18>> Okay, let's get to it.
17:26[Music]
17:28>> All right, guys. I'm here with the
17:29Epidemic Sound Team. We were at a very
17:31authentic sweet, what's this place
17:33called again?
17:35>> I just wanted to get the proper
17:36pronunciation.
17:37>> The creator partnership folks were the
17:39best. They gave me a tour of the
17:41headquarters. We grabbed a long lunch
17:43and just talked about all things music,
17:44creators, and the future of the space.
17:46Such a highlight of this trip.
17:50[Music]
17:51>> Okay, just uh finished with the Epidemic
Need caffeine
17:54Sound Team. They were so so nice. just
17:57like wow. Great conversation, fun
17:59people, had a lot of laughs. It was a
18:01really good time. Getting dinner with a
18:03friend later tonight, but otherwise have
18:04kind of the rest of my day free. Going
18:06to go to a coffee shop that was very
18:07highly recommended to me. So, now it's
18:091:35. I'd still be asleep in New York. 6
18:13hours behind, so I'm still a bit sleepy,
18:15but we're pulling through.
18:21[Music]
18:26Hello. Doing some more walking around
18:29after finishing my coffee. Bit tired,
18:31but we have some more fun things to do
18:33today and you're coming with me. Also,
18:35I'm just so impressed and happy with the
18:38amount of cafes on every single street
18:40per square mile, let's say. There's a
18:42lot of them. And there's just a really
18:44nice cinnamon smell emanating out of
18:46every single one. So, pretty epic. Wow.
18:50Ah, I came up here cuz I figured it
Exploring
18:52would be a good lookout point. I was
18:55right. It literally is a lookout point.
18:56Look at those people looking out. I feel
18:59like these pointy spires. Oh my god,
19:01they're everywhere. Ah, there's so many.
19:03I feel like that's so iconic Stockholm.
19:05And when I imagine this scene, like in
19:08photos and such, I imagine a whole bunch
19:10of snow. There's obviously no snow right
19:11now, which I'm happy about. This is like
19:13my favorite type of thing to do in a
19:15city, which is having, you know, some
19:17set cafes and restaurants and such that
19:19I want to go to, but otherwise just like
19:21walking a lot, going down these random
19:23meandering side streets, as long as it's
19:25safe, obviously. Let me check my stats
19:27for yesterday. Hey Siri, how many steps
19:29did I walk yesterday?
19:30>> 20,260 steps.
19:33>> That's a lot of steps. Let's freaking
19:34go. Best way to explore a city in my
19:37opinion. Walk, walk, walk. Boom. Like,
19:40where does that go to? I don't know.
19:43Let's find out.
19:48Okay, this is so cool where I've just
19:51stumbled upon. Look, it's so old and
19:54charming. And look at this. Not to peep
19:56on people, but what a freaking cool
19:58office. Epic. Epic.
20:05Neat.
20:16It has started to rain. It wasn't
Rainy exploring
20:18supposed to until later.
20:19>> Still a nice temperature. I feel cozy.
20:21It's going to get a little wet. That's
20:22okay. It smells good. I love the smell
20:25of the atmosphere when it starts to
20:26rain. Okay, beast. Okay, it's raining
20:30kind of hard now, so I'm waiting for a
20:31little bit under this tree. Surprisingly
20:34good cover. I'm not getting any drops.
20:38Kind of peaceful.
20:41[Music]
20:49I'm going to go that way.
20:52[Music]
20:55Guys, I just got asked for directions
20:57and I knew the answer. They asked which
21:00way Oldtown was, Gamlasan, which is
21:02where I'm staying. And I knew to say
21:05it's over there cuz that's where I'm
21:06headed. But I had a little moment of
21:08pride. I was like, "Yes, I know the
21:10answer to that.
21:16It's so pleasant."
21:18All right, it's proper raining, but
21:21still kind of cozy. I'm back in Gas Sun.
21:24I'm going to Well, we'll see. You know
21:25what? I'm going to tell you what we're
21:27going to do. It'll be a surprise.
21:33All right, I've wandered into this
21:35little store of trinkets, but like very
21:39lighting based trinkets, and I really
21:42like it. And it's so charming.
21:49Guys, I don't know if you know this, but
21:51I like getting funky earrings. Like in
21:52Taiwan, I got these boba earrings. I
21:55have these egg toast earrings. I have
21:57tomato earrings. I think it would be a
21:58crime against humanity if I did not buy
22:00these
22:01>> cinnamon bun earrings. Oh my god. Yes,
22:04>> I got them.
22:07How cute is that? She said that they're
22:10handmade here in Gauntlet. So very
22:12authentic. Also, it's fully raining now.
22:16[Music]
22:18Back where I was yesterday. Nobel Prize
22:21Museum. Remember this? Feels like so
22:24long ago.
22:27[Music]
22:29Oh man.
22:33Yeah, I got in it. That's okay. We made
Shelter
22:35it back. I'm still going to go back out.
22:38I just need a raincoat.
22:40This is kind of cute, though. Look. So,
22:42here's my Airbnb. And then there's this
22:44little courtyard. I guess I showed you
22:45guys yesterday.
22:49Oh my god. I hope there's a drain out
22:50here.
22:53Wow. So guys, I was just thinking it's
22:54an absolute crime that I actually
22:56haven't got a proper cinnamon bun here
22:58yet besides these. But you know what?
23:01These, you know, they're not a
23:02replacement and I'm going to go get one
23:03when the rain lets up. But they're so
23:06good. M Hello. All right, I've dried off
23:09a little bit. So I thought I'd be a
23:10little innovative because I'm going to
23:12have to pack my stuff tomorrow to leave
23:14and I can't have a soaking wet shirt in
23:16there. So I turned on the towel warmer
23:18and I tried to get as much surface area
23:20of my wet shirt on there as possible.
23:22Pretty nifty honestly if you ask me. So
23:27wait, let's do an Airbnb tour. Welcome.
Air Bnb tour
23:30Let me show you around. Okay, you enter
23:32here. We got some rules and regulations.
23:35We got a washer and mind you, everything
23:38in this apartment is labeled and has
23:40instructions. It is very well organized
23:42for how small it is. Umbrellas, fire
23:44hydrant, coat rack, shoe horn.
23:48They think of everything. You enter me.
23:50We have the bathroom. I already showed
23:53you. I rearranged my shirt. It is small
23:56in here. All right. I'm filming on Oh,
23:58not even on wide angle, but it's small
23:59in here, but everything you need. You
24:01know, we got hooks everywhere, which I
24:04love. I love when they have enough
24:05hooks. My little toiletries. You get the
24:07idea. It's small. Like, it's one of
24:09these things. And then water, of course,
24:10comes out. So, I use this as a little
24:11barricade. We enter living room. Little
24:14table here. I kind of know a lot of
24:16space saving hacks because I was on a
24:18motor home for 3 months or more every
24:20year growing up and you need to really
24:22really utilize the space well. And my
24:24New York City apartments, while they are
24:26large by New York standards, they're not
24:29actually huge. So, you know, you got to
24:31make use of space. So, stuff like this
24:33where they have a smaller table but an
24:35extendable thingy. This ladder was
24:37leaned up against there when I got it.
24:39But the bed is actually up here and it's
24:42pretty comfy. I'm not going to lie. You
24:44guys saw my clip last night. They have a
24:46lamp up here so you can turn off all
24:47these lights before getting into bed.
24:49Over here, just good attention to
24:51detail. They think of everything. Like
24:53an adapter. How nice is that? Cuz
24:55normally I forget mine anyways. I did
24:57not this time, but normally I do.
24:59Earplugs, little cups to drink from. I
25:01wonder what's in here.
25:03Ooh, cards. A people leaving thank you
25:07notes. So cute. And then in here is a
25:10bunch of extra linens and towels.
25:13There's a ironing board, hangers. You
25:16get the idea. Sorry, my stuff is not
25:18sorry. I'm by myself. I can do whatever
25:21I want. I don't have an exploding
25:23suitcase when I'm with other people. I
25:24don't like that. It's pretty contained.
25:26That's fine. We got couch. We got fan,
25:28which I just have on for white noise
25:29when I sleep. Moving into the kitchen.
25:31This is where I think you see cuz it's
25:32so tiny. A lot of the space saving
25:35hacks, but you really have everything
25:37you need. Cleaning supplies, little
25:39sink, little drying rack, trash,
25:42dishwasher tablets, teeny tiny
25:44dishwasher. How cute. Pantry.
25:47Everything's labeled. It's so cute. We
25:49got a little stove. This is This is my
25:51stuff. The cutest little baby utensils.
25:55Well, I guess these ones are full size.
25:57I like the little ones. And then, you
25:59know, it's an Airbnb, so it's fully
26:01stocked, which is awesome if you were
26:02staying here for a while and wanted to
26:04get some good cooking done. That's
26:05crazy. That's more than I can freaking
26:07fit in my New York City apartment.
26:08>> We got cups, glasses, coffee, tea. Is
26:13this exciting? I don't know. Maybe it's
26:15not for you guys. I just love how
26:16everything's labeled. It's so cute. And
26:18then, oh, soft closed cabinets. Very
26:22good. Fridge. Huge by my standards. This
26:25is way bigger than my New York fridge.
26:27And
26:28freezer. Oh, and then a little
26:30stepladder if you need it. Some hooks
26:32thoughtfully placed. That's about it.
26:35It's actually grown on me. When I first
26:36got here, I was like, "Oh, I mean, it's
26:39fine." But I I actually really like it.
26:41Feels cozy. Like, I was happy to come
26:42home to it after getting caught in the
26:45rain. Hope you enjoyed the tour.
26:48[Music]
26:50All right, we are back out like an hour
Solo travel reflections
26:52and a half later. I did take a little
26:54nap. I can't help myself. It's like I
26:56can't keep my eyes open if I don't.
26:57Anyways, I try to not take them for too
26:59long to mess with the uh sleeping later
27:01on. We'll see. Still raining, but
27:04honestly, it's really cozy.
27:09Yeah, it's not too cold. That's what I
27:11care the most about.
27:13Kind of beautiful. I would not dare say
27:16the sun is poking out, but there's some
27:18warm light and it's just so pretty. Not
27:20that I'm in any place to be given solo
27:23travel tips quite yet, but I will say
27:25that it's helpful to have gotten to know
27:28two areas pretty well. So I've like gone
27:30between Gamblasan here where I'm staying
27:32and then you know I did a run all around
27:35a couple of these little offshoot island
27:37things and then I've gone into Sutter
27:39yesterday and today I feel oriented if
27:41that makes sense in a way that makes me
27:43feel comfortable like I know where I am.
27:45I know how to get home. I don't need to
27:46look up Google Maps or anything. Even
27:48when I was coming from the Epidemic
27:49Sound office earlier I knew how to get
27:51home without checking the map. So yeah,
27:52I guess the tip is to kind of acquaint
27:54yourself with a couple areas extra well
27:56and then you can just get around without
27:57feeling stressed about it. I don't know.
27:59That's my preliminary tip.
28:05And on the point of solo travel, I think
28:07now that I've done it for a couple days,
28:10I'm an expert. No, but I guess the
28:12reason I'm doing it in the first place,
28:13I never really explained. Let me get
28:15this a little dry at first. I'm on my
28:17way to Berlin after this where I am
28:19meeting somebody. But I figured might as
28:22well stop in Stockholm for a couple days
28:24and see how it feels. And I think that
28:26because I've been here before, that's
28:28part of why I chose this city cuz I've
28:29been here before. So, I have some
28:31familiarity with it. I know it's really
28:32safe and it's very, very walkable. So, I
28:34sort of chose this city as my first solo
28:37travel on purpose. And I kind of liked
28:40it. I I don't think it's my preferred
28:41way of travel because I do think that
28:43the best things in life are best shared.
28:46I think most people would agree with
28:47that. But at the same time, I also do
28:49think and know that it's important to be
28:51able to be by yourself, spend time with
28:53yourself for sort of extended periods, I
28:56guess. I don't know. At least that's a
28:57muscle that I've been wanting to flex
28:58for a while. And this it's honestly been
29:00really really fun. Would I want to do it
29:02for too much longer than 2 days, 3 days?
29:06Probably not. Probably get a little
29:08lonely. But this trip has been pretty
29:10lovely. And I did a little just a little
29:13bit more planning for this trip than I
29:14normally would cuz I knew I'd be by
29:16myself. So, I'm like, h could probably
29:18benefit from uh preparing a little
29:20extra. That's also part of why I think I
29:22feel more comfortable. Hey. Oh my god.
29:24What's up? Did you follow me here?
29:27>> Yeah. From New York. But I wanted to
29:28tell you something. Okay. What's up?
29:30Well, that tad bit of prep that you were
29:32talking about just now. You like booked
29:34a hotel and everything beforehand. Yeah.
29:36For once, I actually made a reservation
29:37like 36 hours in advance instead of
29:39waiting until I landed in the country.
29:41And was the hotel a good price? I
29:43actually did Airbnb cuz by the time I
29:44looked, it was so last minute. And the
29:46hotels were just way too expensive. Ah,
29:48and your flight. I actually got it for
29:49an okay price a while ago and then a few
29:52weeks later I saw it went up and then
29:54weirdly back down below my original
29:56price like as you got super close to the
29:58I'm going to stop you right there. Okay.
30:00Why? Have you heard of Axle? I have not.
30:02What's that? It's what Big Travel
30:04doesn't want you to know about. So, it's
30:06this tool that monitors price changes
30:07for your existing hotel and flight
30:10reservations and it automatically
30:12rebooks those reservations when the
30:14price goes down. You can also book the
30:15lower prices directly by chatting with
30:17Axel on WhatsApp. Oh yeah, you connect
30:19it to your Gmail account and it scans
30:21your upcoming hotel and flight
30:23reservations, monitors the prices 24/7,
30:25and then cancels and rebooks your
30:27reservations automatically at those
30:28lower prices without you doing anything.
30:30Oh my god, I know. Would have been
30:32perfect for you when you saw that price
30:33change later on. Yeah. Yeah. And Axel
30:36handles all customer service
30:37interactions and secures that price
30:39change as savings. It's pretty awesome.
30:41Okay, I'm sold. Where do I sign up? You
30:43can click the link in my description to
30:44get started for free. We'll do. Thanks,
30:46Taylor.
30:48All right, let's go.
30:51First of all, that was crazy timing that
An important stop
30:53I was filming when all those lights just
30:55turned on. Wow. All right, there's
30:57something we got to do before dinner.
31:00And let me tell you guys, dinner is at a
31:02very special place. So, my cousin was
31:04actually here recently and did some solo
31:06travel days himself. And he told me this
31:07place is just out of this world. It's
31:09like Nordic fine dining, but at a pretty
31:11reasonable price. I checked the menu and
31:13I guess it's super hard to get a resz,
31:15but randomly they had one tonight. I got
31:17it. And when I told the Epidemic Sound
31:19folks about this restaurant, they're
31:21like, "Oh my god, how did you get that
31:22resz? You have to go." So, they were
31:24hyping me up and I'm super excited.
31:26However, before that, there's something
31:28we have to do cuz as things are tracking
31:30right now, we're not going to do it
31:31unless we do it right now. What do you
31:32think it is?
31:41We're getting closer. Look how pretty.
31:48Hi.
31:50Can I please have a cinnamon? Thank you.
31:54Okay. I know. I'm about to go to dinner,
31:56but like I said, I'm leaving tomorrow
31:58morning. So, if I don't get this now,
32:00I'm also hungry. So, I'll still be
32:01hungry for dinner. It's very different
32:03than my typical cinnamon roll. I really
32:05like the big doughy American cream
32:08cheese icing cinnamon buns the most. So,
32:10there's a time and place for this. Time
32:12and place. Ooh. Smells really cinnamony
32:15with a little bit of cardamom. That's
32:17the big thing here. Cardamom. I've had
32:19this before, but it's been a while. It's
32:21still pretty yummy and doughy on the
32:23inside.
32:25Approved. We back. Let's go to dinner.
Nordic fine dining
32:38Okay, just got dropped off. Feeling chic
32:41in my leather jacket. I got to pull it
32:43out more. Anyways, this is the spot.
32:45It's called Lil Ego and I'm so excited.
32:54[Music]
33:01Okay, presentation reveal. All right, we
33:04got shredded butter and pumpkin seeds,
33:06pork belly, melons, mint. It looks like
33:09you want to get this one on top.
33:11>> Nice with cucumber on top. Looks like
33:13dill and something pistachios are on the
33:16end there. And our beers. We got pork
33:18belly. We got zucchini. We got jalapeno
33:21sauce, chimmy cherry, and then some some
33:23kind of sauce down there. Nice. Hello.
33:27Dinner was delicious. I was talking so
33:30much with my friend. We had a lot of
33:32catching up to do. He just moved here.
33:33So, because I was talking a lot, I ate
33:35pretty slowly and then uh got pretty
33:37full, but it was it was so so good. I
33:39just couldn't finish my entree. Anyways,
33:41it's my last night. My Airbnb is right
33:43here. It really has been such a fun nice
33:46trip. I've just like fallen in love with
33:48Stockholm. Everything about it, it just
33:50feels so cozy. Okay, I guess I'll leave
33:52you with that. You don't need to see me
33:53pack up and go to the airport tomorrow,
33:54do you? Turtle out
33:58to France.
Important bloopers
34:01>> To France,
34:04>> I feel naked. Oh well, that's okay.
34:08I don't actually feel naked.
34:14[Applause]
34:16[Music]
