Intro

0:00Hey guys, it's Amy and more. Today I'm

0:02going to show you how to crochet

0:04Puchita. He has a chainsaw and his eyes

0:08are made out of felt. He has a cute

0:10snout in front and he has four tiny legs

0:15and on his behind he has a triangle tail

0:18and a butt handle. He also has a handle

0:22in the front which I like to use to

0:24carry him around. To create the handle,

0:27I used a pipe cleaner and then crocheted

0:30around it and then molded it into shape.

0:33Puchida is from the anime Chainsaw Man

0:36and reminds me of a pug. All right, what

0:39are we waiting for? Let's get started.

Materials

0:42Here are the materials you'll need.

0:45You'll need a crochet hook 5.0 mm.

0:49You'll need worsted weight acrylic yarn

0:51in orange, black, and also gray.

0:57You'll need white and black felt for the

1:00eyes.

1:02Fabric tack glue.

1:05You'll also need a pipe cleaner to make

1:08the handle.

1:10Polyfill stuffing.

1:12You'll need scissors

1:14and a yarn needle.

1:17and also a stitch marker. And I just

1:19like to use a bobby pin.

Body

1:26For the body with orange yarn, we are

1:29going to make a slip knot. So, we're

1:32just going to place the yarn onto our

1:35hook.

1:37Now, for round one, we are going to

1:40chain two. That is one and two. And then

1:46we're going to do six single crochet

1:48into the first chain. So that's one

1:522

1:543

1:584

2:005

2:02and six. And then you're going to close

2:06your circle.

2:09And then we are going to put a stitch

2:11marker at the end of our round. For

2:14round two, we are going to do one in

2:17each stitch around. So, we're going to

2:19stay at six single crochet stitches.

2:22So, in our first stitch, that is one

2:272

2:303

2:334

2:355 and in our last stitch that is six. So

2:40we have stayed at six stitches for round

2:44two. Going to flip it inside out to make

2:47sure the correct side is showing.

2:50Now we are going to go ahead and fasten

2:53off leaving a short tail. We have just

2:56created part A, which this is the first

3:00snout.

3:02So now we are going to repeat rounds one

3:04and two again to create part B or the

3:08second part of the snout. So we are

3:11going to go ahead and do round one

3:14again. Chain two. That's one and two.

3:18And then six single crochet into the

3:21first chain. So that's one

3:252

3:283

3:314

3:335 and six. And then we're going to close

3:36our loop.

3:38We're going to put our stitch marker

3:40back on.

3:43And for round two, we're going to stay

3:46at six single crochet stitch. So it's

3:48just one in each stitch around. So that

3:51is one

3:532

3:563

3:584

4:00five and six into our very last stitch.

4:07Then we are going to go ahead and flip

4:08it inside out. So now we have created

4:12part B, but we do not fasten off. Now we

4:15are going to get part A and we're going

4:18to join the two parts together across

4:20two stitches with single crochet. So

4:24we're going to go in through part A

4:27first and then through part B and then

4:30do a single crochet stitch. And then

4:34we're going to do that one more time. Go

4:37through part

4:39A and then through part B. do a single

4:45crochet stitch.

4:48And we have just joined the two parts

4:50together and made our snout.

4:54Now I'm going to go ahead and cut off

4:57the excess yarn on the inside parts of

5:01the snout.

5:04So I'm going to cut this part off as

5:07well.

5:09Okay. Now I am ready to go around

5:13the snout. And if I count I should have

5:18eight stitches all the way around. That

5:21is one two three four

5:25five six seven and eight. So I'm going

5:28to go all the way around.

5:32But my pattern is going to be two one

5:34one and then two one one one. So I'll

5:37have 10 single crochet stitches. So in

5:40my next stitch here, I'm going to do two

5:43single crochet stitches. So that's one

5:46and two. And then it's going to be one,

5:50one and one. And then our next single

5:56crochet stitch, which is this one right

5:57here, is going to be two here. So that's

6:00one and two into the same stitch. And

6:03then it's one,

6:06one, and one. So now I should have 10

6:10single crochet stitches. So I'm just

6:13going to go into my next stitch and do a

6:15single crochet stitch. Now I'm going to

6:19move my stitch marker. And this will

6:21mark the end of the round. Now

6:26for round four, my pattern is two half

6:29double crochet in each stitch around.

6:32And I will have 20 half double crochet

6:34stitches. So yarn over, go into the

6:38stitch, yarn over, come out. You will

6:40have three loops. Yarn over, go out

6:43through all three. Repeat again. Yarn

6:45over, insert hook, yarn over, and go

6:50out. And you'll have two half double

6:52crochet. So here is one and two half

6:56double crochet. Next stitch also one and

7:00two.

7:02Next stitch is one and two.

7:07One and two.

7:11One and two.

7:14One and two.

7:18One and two. Oops. And two into the same

7:22stitch.

7:24One and two half double crochet. And our

7:28very last stitch. That's going to be one

7:31half double crochet stitch and two half

7:34double crochet stitches. And now we

7:36should have 20 half double crochet

7:39stitches all together.

7:43Round five, our pattern is going to be

7:45two, one, one, one, one, two, one, one,

7:48one, one. Repeat around and you'll have

7:5124 single crochet stitches. So that is

7:54one and two and one

7:582

8:003 4. Repeat again. Here's one and two.

8:05And then it's going to be one 2

8:093 4. And continue to repeat the pattern

8:13around. And you will have 24 single

8:15crochet stitches at the end.

8:19Now I'm going to do single crochet in

8:21the six stitches only. So that's going

8:25to be one,

8:28two, 3, 4,

8:32five, and six. And then I'm going to

8:35move my stitch marker. And this will

8:39mark the end of the new round.

8:42Round six. This is my pattern. It's

8:44going to be two one one two one one two

8:48one one two one one one and then it's

8:51going to be single crochet the rest of

8:53the way. So here we are one and two and

8:58one and one

9:02and two and one and one

9:09and two and one and one. final pattern.

9:14One and two and one and one. Now for the

9:20rest of the stitches here, we are just

9:22going to do one in each stitch. So

9:25that's one 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10

9:3911 and 12.

9:43And you should have 28 single crochet

9:46stitches.

9:51For round seven, our pattern is two,

9:54one, one, one. And you'll repeat that

9:56pattern four times. And then it's single

9:59crochet the rest of the way. So here we

10:03go. It's going to be

10:06one and two and one, one, one. Repeat

10:12again. It's going to be one and two and

10:17one, one, one. Repeat again. One and

10:22two. And it's one, one, one. Repeat one

10:27last time. It's going to be one and two.

10:31And then one, one and one. And now we

10:36are just going to do single crochet all

10:38the way across which is for 12 stitches.

10:44So it's going to be one 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

10:5610 11 and 12.

11:03Now we should have 32 single crochet

11:06stitches.

11:08Now for rounds 8 through 20, we are

11:11going to stay at 32 single crochet

11:14stitches. So it's just one stitch in

11:16each stitch all the way around.

11:19So it's just one in each. So go ahead

11:22and work up your stitches and I will

11:25meet you at the end of round 20.

11:30This is how your project looks like

11:32after round 20.

11:35Now for round 21, our pattern is going

11:39to be a decrease and then in the next

11:43six stitches single crochet. Then we're

11:46going to repeat around and you will have

11:4828 single crochet stitches. So here is a

11:52decrease and then it is one

11:572

11:583

12:00four

12:01five and six. Repeat pattern again

12:04decrease and then in the next six just

12:07one. So that's decrease. Then it is 1 2

12:143 4 5 and six. And continue the pattern

12:20all the way around. And you will have 28

12:23single crochet stitches at the end.

12:29For round 22, decrease. And then in the

12:33next five, just single crochet. Repeat

12:35all the way around. And you will have 24

12:38single crochet stitches. Decrease. One 2

12:433 four five. Repeat again. do a decrease

12:50and then one two three four five. So

12:52here is a decrease.

12:55One 2 3 four five. Repeat the pattern

13:02around. And at the end you should have

13:0524 single crochet stitches.

13:10Round 23. Our pattern is a decrease one

13:13one decrease one one. Repeat all the way

13:16around and you will have 18 single

13:18crochet stitches. So here's a decrease.

13:22Then one and one

13:25decrease

13:27and one and one and repeat around and

13:32you will have 18 single crochet stitches

13:34at the end.

13:37And at this point we can go ahead and

13:40stuff with polyfill

13:4324. Our pattern is decrease one,

13:46decrease one all the way around. And you

13:48will have 12 single crochet stitches.

13:52That is decrease

13:54and then single crochet,

13:57then decrease,

14:00and then single crochet. And continue to

14:04repeat around and you will have 12

14:06single crochet stitches.

14:10and then continue to stuff as you go.

14:14For round 25, we are going to decrease

14:16around. So here is one decrease

14:22and then two

14:25decrease

14:28and then three

14:31decrease. four

14:35and then five

14:37and then our last decrease. That is six.

14:41So now we should have six stitches

14:44around. Cut off a long tail. Fasten off.

14:48Finish stuffing. This is how your

14:51project looks like.

14:55And then we can go ahead and sew the end

14:58close with our yarn needle.

15:12and here is our body finished.

Leg

15:18For the leg with orange yarn, we are

15:21going to go ahead for round one. Chain

15:24two. That's one and two. and then four

15:28single crochet into the first chain.

15:31That is one,

15:34two,

15:37three,

15:39and four. Go ahead and close the circle

15:43tight. Use a stitch marker.

15:46Now, for round two, we're going to

15:48ignore that first part. It's going to be

15:50two in each stitch around. And you'll

15:53have eight single crochet stitch. So in

15:55our very first

15:58stitch right here, we are going to go

16:02ahead and do two single crochet

16:04stitches.

16:06So that is one into the same stitch.

16:09That is two. Next is also

16:14one and two.

16:19One and two. And then next stitch

16:25is

16:26one and two.

16:30And we are going to put our stitch

16:32marker back. Now for round three, we

16:37going to stay at eight. So it's just one

16:39in each stitch all the way around.

16:43So we are going to do one

16:482

16:503

16:514

16:545

16:566

16:587 and our very last stitch is eight.

17:04So I'm going to do a slip stitch into

17:07the next stitch. And then I'm going to

17:10fasten off and cut a long tail.

17:16So here is our first leg completed. And

17:19you want to make four.

Tail

17:22For the tail with black yarn, you are

17:25going to chain 11. That is one 2 3 4 5 6

17:347

17:368 9 10 and 11.

17:40Now we are going to do a slip stitch

17:43into the previous chain and then chain

17:47three. That's one 2 three and then slip

17:52stitch into the previous chain.

17:57and chain two. That's going to be one

18:02and two. And then we're going to count

18:04three chain from the pico right here. So

18:07that's one, two, three.

18:10And then into that stitch right there,

18:13we're going to do a slip stitch into the

18:16chain. And this is how we make our

18:19triangle.

18:20And then we are just going to slip

18:22stitch across. So that is one

18:26and two,

18:29three,

18:31four,

18:34five and six. And we are going to cut

18:39off a long tail and fasten off. And here

18:43is our tail completed.

18:47Now for the handle, we are going to get

Handle

18:50a pipe cleaner and then fold it in half.

18:55And then we want to kind of close this

18:58pipe cleaner up. So I'm going to get the

19:01ends and I'm going to twist it around.

19:05Then I'm going to point the ends

19:08downward so it's not as doesn't have the

19:11sharp ends pointing outward.

19:15So now what I'm going to do for the

19:18handle with black yarn, I'm going to go

19:22ahead and make a slip knot onto my hook.

19:26But I want to leave a long tail end.

19:29Then I'm going to grab my pipe cleaner

19:33and into the top half I'm going to

19:36fasten on with a single crochet stitch.

19:40So then here is my single crochet stitch

19:44where I fasten on. Then I'm going to go

19:48ahead and do another single crochet.

19:53And then I'm going to go ahead and close

19:56both ends. And I want to go under both

20:00because I want to cover this pipe

20:02cleaner. So, I'm going to keep doing

20:06single crochet all the way until I'm

20:11towards the end of the pipe cleaner. So,

20:15go ahead and keep going under the pipe

20:19cleaner to do single crochet stitch all

20:23the way across.

20:29So now I'm almost at the very end of my

20:32pipe cleaner, but then I'm going to open

20:35up and go through the middle of the pipe

20:38cleaner and do three single crochet

20:42stitches

20:44so that I secure it and it won't fall

20:49off. The yarn won't fall off. So, I'm

20:52going to go ahead and cut off a longtail

20:55and fasten off. Then, I'm going to go

20:59ahead and fold the ends so that it looks

21:03like a handle.

21:06And now, it's ready to be sewn on later

21:09to Poeta for his top handle.

Saw

21:13Now, for the saw with gray yarn, you are

21:16going to for round one, chain eight.

21:20That's going to be one 2 3 four five six

21:26seven and eight. Now we're going to half

21:30double crochet into the third chain from

21:33the hook. So yarn over, insert hook,

21:36yarn over, come out, yarn over, come out

21:38through three. We're going to do half

21:40double crochet in the next four chain.

21:43So here is one half double crochet. Next

21:48one is two

21:51and then three half double. And then our

21:55fourth half double crochet. And into our

21:59last chain, we're going to do two half

22:01double crochet stitches. So that's going

22:04to be one half double into the same

22:08stitch. That is two half double. Now on

22:12the other side of the chain, I'm going

22:14to do two half double crochet into the

22:17chain. So that's one. And into the same

22:20chain. That is two. Now in the next five

22:25chains, I'm going to do one half double

22:28crochet in each. So that's going to be

22:32one. And then next chain two,

22:383,

22:41four,

22:43and that is five. That was half double

22:47crochet. And into my last stitch, I'm

22:50going to do a slip stitch.

22:54And then I'm going to go ahead and for

22:56this one, cut off a short tail and

22:59fasten off. I've just created part A for

23:02the saw. So now we want to go ahead and

23:07repeat the pattern again to create part

23:09B. But do not fasten off. So go ahead

23:13and repeat and then come back to this

23:15part. Now we are going to place part B

23:19and A back to back. And you'll want to

23:21have part B at the top because that's

23:25the part that we didn't fasten off. And

23:27then we are going to join them together

23:30by crocheting all the way around with

23:32single crochet and going through both

23:35layers.

23:37So now I'm going to go to my next stitch

23:40and go through both layers to join both

23:43parts and do single crochet stitch. So

23:47that is one and then two

23:53and then three

23:584

24:01five and six.

24:05And then when I get to the curve in the

24:08next three stitches I'm going to do two

24:10two in the next three. That is going to

24:15be one single crochet into the same

24:17stitch. That is two. Next stitch I am

24:20going to do one and into the same

24:24stitch. Two.

24:26And then in my third stitch here, that's

24:30one. And two into the same stitch. Then

24:33I'm going to do single crochet in the

24:35next five stitches. So that is one

24:40and two.

24:453

24:504

24:53and

24:55five.

24:59And then this is how your saw looks

25:01like. And in the next three, I'm just

25:03going to do single crochet in the next

25:06three stitch only. And then the last

25:09stitch, we'll change the color black. So

25:11I'm going to prep it by doing a slip

25:14knot.

25:16So now let's do single crochet in the

25:18next three.

25:20So that is going to be

25:25one

25:27and two. And I'm going to do a single

25:30crochet, but I won't finish off. I'll

25:33put on the new yarn and then pull it

25:36through both loops to do a color change

25:40to black.

25:42Now for round three, I'm going to do a

25:45slip stitch into the next stitch. And

25:48now my pattern is going to be chain two.

25:51One, two. Slip stitch into the previous

25:54chain. And then slip stitch in the next

25:58two stitches. So that's one and two and

26:03going to chain two. One and two. Slip

26:06stitch into the previous chain. And then

26:09slip stitch into the next two stitch. So

26:12that is one and two. And then chain two.

26:17One, two. Slip stitch into previous

26:20chain. Slip stitch into the next two

26:23stitch. That's one and two. Chain two.

26:28one and two. Slip stitch into the

26:31previous

26:33chain. And then slip stitch into the

26:36next two stitch. One and two. Chain two.

26:43One, two. Slip stitch. And then slip

26:46stitch into the next two.

26:50Chain two. Slip stitch. And then slip

26:54stitch into the next two.

26:59Chain

27:00two.

27:02That is one and two. Slip stitch. And

27:06then slip stitch into the next two.

27:12And then I can go ahead and fasten

27:16off. Cut off a long tail and fasten off.

27:22And here is our saw completed. You can

27:26go ahead and cut off the gray yarn. And

27:31we should have seven spikes in total. So

27:34that is one, two, three, four, five,

27:37six, and seven.

27:42Then you can go ahead and hide the black

27:46yarn ends inside the saw. So I just use

27:49a yarn needle and then put it inside and

27:54cut off. Going to do that for the short

27:57gray too.

Small Handle

28:00Now for the butt handle I am going to

28:03with black yarn chain 11. That is 1 2 3

28:104 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 and then slip stitch

28:18into the next three chain. So the one,

28:23two, and

28:26three. Then chain one and then slip

28:30stitch into the same previous chain.

28:36And then slip stitch into the next five

28:39chains. So that is one,

28:43two,

28:453,

28:47four, and five. And then I'm going to

28:50chain one and then slip stitch into the

28:54previous same chain.

28:57And then slip stitch into the next two

29:00chain. That is one and two. And then I'm

29:06going to fasten off and cut off a long

29:09tail. And here is your second handle

29:13completed.
