0:00Traders love to argue until they're

0:01literally blew in the face between what

0:03is more important between technical

0:05analysis and your strategy and trading

0:07psychology now you could be born with

0:10the most amazing natural-born Traders

0:12mindset in the world and if you are then

0:14then Happy Days good for you but if you

0:16don't have a proven profitable strategy

0:18in your hands then you're not going to

0:20make any money right so at the start of

0:22your journey understandably it is a lot

0:24more important in my opinion to focus on

0:26the technicals to develop that strategy

0:28andove you have a strateg Edge but then

0:31further along in your journey that is

0:33when you quickly realize as you start to

0:34try and scale up trade life Capital Etc

0:37that actually it's about 80 90% of

0:39psychology is going to be the difference

0:41between whether or not you are

0:42profitable at that point now thanks to

0:46the regulations in the EU if we look at

0:49uh many of these regulated retail

0:51Brokers we can see at the top of most of

0:53their their homepages the stats of their

0:56winning and losing Traders on their

0:58websites right so if we can see that on

1:00average about 75% of Traders are losing

1:03then you could be forgiven for thinking

1:05well why don't we just find out what

1:06they're doing right and do the opposite

1:08of it and then that way we can be in the

1:09winning 25% well okay let's dive into

Normal Trading

1:13that what is normal in

1:16trading so back in 2015 fxm did a study

1:20of 255,000 of their Traders and they

1:22looked at 43 million trades taken and

1:25they actually saw that 62% of the trades

1:27were winning trades but what's going on

1:30here well when on they took a winning

1:32trade they only made on average a gain

1:35of 48 Pips but when they lost a trade on

1:38average they lost 82 Pips so we can

1:40quickly see here that their losing

1:42trades were almost 70% bigger than their

1:44winning trades so as a result over the

1:46course of let's say 100 trades that's

1:48going to be a 140 pip deficit which

1:51means you have a negative profit

1:54expectancy in the long run now this is

1:56not a strategy problem it's not really a

1:58technical analysis problem there are

2:00hundreds if not thousands if not

2:01millions of profitable strategies out

2:03there you can trade the market any

2:05single way you want um there's thousands

2:08of strategies on YouTube that that are

2:09probably successful this is more of a

2:12human problem and I'm going to show it

2:14to you so an absolute classic

2:16psychological error in trading that I'm

2:17sure you've experienced um I know how I

2:19have in the past is moving your stop

2:21loss to break even when it's not within

2:23your rules to do so so let's say your

2:25strategy tells you to buy here for

2:27whatever reason you get in long and the

2:29market starts moving nicely in your

2:31favor so what do you do you move your

2:33stop loss to break even even if it

2:35doesn't stay in your rules simply

2:37because we want to remove any potential

2:40risk on the table and then as you

2:42probably experienced plenty of times the

2:43market will then come back to your level

2:45stop you out for break even and then

2:48goes on eventually to your profit Target

2:51okay so this is just one of many

2:53mistakes that Traders are making that is

2:55not conducive to a long-term profitable

2:57Edge so if you break your rules by TR

2:59triling your stop loss to break even too

3:01early you know what's the reason you're

3:03scared of taking a loss and the

3:05subconscious reason of that is because

3:06you were trying to avoid the pain of

3:09losing money now Tom hugard did an

3:11amazing lecture on this where he breaks

3:13this down right and there's so many

3:15common mistakes that we as Traders make

3:16right taking low probability or even

3:18invalid trades why do we do that it's

3:20because we get fermo right we're scared

3:22of missing out on potential um you know

3:24profits but what's the subconscious

3:26reason it's the same thing it's to avoid

3:28pain right the pain of potentially

3:30missing out on what could be ours

3:33Another one not executing another trade

3:35after you've taken a winning trade a

3:37reason is usually because well you know

3:39I've made some money I don't really want

3:40to give back any profit today I'm happy

3:42with what I've got but you're not

3:44executing your Edge and what's the

3:46reason again to avoid pain the pain of

3:48potentially giving away that profits

3:50taking profits too early right not

3:51following your management plan similar

3:53thing you want to keep on to what you

3:54have why avoid pain avoid pain of losing

3:58that perceived money of you know what

3:59you've got within your account the other

4:01thing increasing your position size

4:03after a loss why do you do that well you

4:05want to get back to where you were right

4:06you don't want to go home with that loss

4:09you want to get back to break even or or

4:10make some gains why you want to avoid

4:13pain now I'm sure we've all been there

4:15and we sure we'll make some of these

4:16mistakes in the future but it's only

4:18afterwards once you're out of the trade

4:19and you've made that mistake and you

4:20look back and you just think what is

4:23wrong with me why I'm an idiot why do I

4:24keep doing this why am I stuck in this

4:25Perpetual cycle of making mistakes

4:27that's stopping me from getting to where

4:28I need to be okay today I'm going to

4:30show you exactly why that's happening

4:32I'm going to show you why it's not your

4:33fault but then show you the key of what

4:35you now need to do to prevent this from

4:37happening in the future or at least

4:39drastically reduce the amount of times

4:40this happen so we're going to get stuck

4:42into some super es esoteric stuff we're

4:44going to look at biology we're going to

4:45jump into physics I'm super pumped to

4:46get stuck into this so make sure you

4:48stick around but who am I and why should

4:50you listen to me well I am M dony and I

4:52am the founder of photon trading and we

4:54help Traders not just acquire funding

4:56but actually Bank their profit splits

4:58long term using the power of mechanical

You Are Wired To Fail

5:01strategies so like I was saying you

5:02probably make one of these mistakes you

5:04wonder what is wrong with you but

5:05actually there is nothing wrong with you

5:08we are walking around with the same

5:10brains in our in our heads that were

5:12formed 200,000 years ago okay so we are

5:14literally walking around with the same

5:16Hardware as our Paleolithic ancestors

5:19back then we lived pretty much in an

5:21immediate return environment where

5:22having that fight of flight response was

5:24extremely conducive to survival whereas

5:26only in the last 500 100 years maybe 50

5:29years that we have had insane

5:31technological um advancements that has

5:33led us to now live living in a delayed

5:36return environment okay so our brains

5:39are designed to Value those immediate

5:41returns to respond to those fight flight

5:43responses rather than making the

5:45decisions that are conducive to

5:47long-term success so what does that have

5:49to do with trading well let me

5:51explain when you're in the markets right

5:54you probably experienced this with your

5:55demo trading you have your profitable

5:56strategy it's quite easy a lot of people

5:58can make money but as soon as you have

6:00that real risk on the table whether it's

6:02your own high Capital you've scaled up

6:04you going for funding challenges

6:05whatever it is suddenly It all becomes

6:08way harder right your brain almost melts

6:10and that's because your primitive

6:11survival instincts are taking over that

6:14decision- making and critical moments in

6:16other words when you are stressed it's

6:18extremely hard to make the right

6:20decision when you have risk on the table

6:23okay we are using our primitive andal

6:25brains to try and fight Japanese

6:27candlesticks rather than fighting Toth

6:29Tigers so it's extremely hard to do

6:33because back then you know that is an

6:36evolutionary uh advantage of our brains

6:38right to be wired to want to win and

6:41survive at all costs back then trying to

6:43get your lunch could literally kill you

6:45so you had to believe that you going to

6:46win you had to believe that you're going

6:47to overcome that challenge um and you

6:49were going to be able to you know win

6:50that hunt otherwise you either weren't

6:53going to hunt and then you would die

6:54from Hunger or you'd probably end up

6:56getting killed by that animal right

6:57because you're going in with the wrong

6:58mindset now that has served tons of

7:01evolutionary uh purposes and benefits to

7:04even our lives in the modern world today

7:06right to be competitive to want to win

7:08to do well in business Etc but bringing

7:10in that mindset into trading is a recipe

7:13for disaster wanting to win wanting to

7:15win at all cost wanting to avoid the

7:16pain of losing money we know is going to

7:19lead to the you know not most optimal

7:22training decisions of allowing our Edge

7:24to play out over time okay and to

7:26explain that in a more succinct term it

7:29say from Randy H it says your brain's

7:31short-term survival orientation is going

7:33to compromise your need to take that

7:35long-term perspective in order for your

7:37Edge to work in the Heat of the Moment

7:40okay so what that means is we know we're

7:42going to have losing trades in the short

7:43term losing winning trades right it's

7:45just the cost of doing business but over

7:47the long run we know our AG will play

7:48out but then when you're experiencing

7:51that losing trade in the moment right

7:53that's when your brain goes into

7:54meltdown and we end up making those

7:56mistakes that we just went through

7:57taking your profits too early avoiding

7:59trades Etc because we can't think about

8:01the longterm our brains really really

8:03struggle with that and why it's a

8:05biological reason our brains are caveman

8:08brains they view all Market uncertainty

8:11or any uncertainty in your life any risk

8:13it views it as a direct biological

8:16threat to your life okay so those

8:19Japanese candlesticks on your charts

8:20when they're moving around and you feel

8:23some uncertainty of the market

8:24environment the probalistic nature of

8:26what we're trying to deal with here the

8:27potential that we could lose some money

8:28you're brain sees that as a biological

8:31threat to life that's when your fight or

8:33flight respones kick in and you end up

8:35making those mistakes so let's apply

8:38this to a trade example right as it's a

8:40lot easier to then understand now we've

8:42all probably felt this right we we get

8:44into a trade it starts moving nicely

8:46along in our favor but if price starts

8:48to pull back and go into our stop loss

8:50and then we see you know it flashing red

8:52against us we have that risk on the

8:53table a heart rate starts to go up right

8:55you feel those emotions and that's

8:57because your biology right your your

8:59animal brain is seeing that as a direct

9:02threat to your life and this is when

9:04your emotional brain is going to hijack

9:06your thinking brain and you're going to

9:08you know make those mistakes because it

9:10sees that threat as a threat to life

9:12it's a threat to your Financial Health

9:14um it's a threat to your training goals

9:16right it's a direct threat to you

9:17getting funded potentially it's a direct

9:18threat to you quitting your job um

9:21perhaps it's a direct threat to Your Ego

9:23right maybe you shared your trade before

9:25you got into it in your community or

9:26maybe you posted on social media maybe

9:28you made a post about how you're going

9:29to smash your day and make because of

9:30profits now all of those thoughts are

9:32now swirling around in your brain and

9:33this is like danger danger so at this

9:35moment what do you do well I'm only half

9:37a% down at this point let me just get

9:38out let me just get out cuz I don't want

9:39to take the full loss I'm probably going

9:40to take a full loss so what you do you

9:42close the trade for let's say half an

9:44hour loss and then rep play the price

9:46forward and then ends up going to your

9:47favor if you had have just stucked your

9:49rules and then you look back afterwards

9:50and you just think what did I do why did

9:52I do that and it's because your animal

9:54brain yourid it hijacked your thinking

9:56brain just to protect yourself at all

9:59costs from experiencing any pain so when

10:02our emotions going up like that our

10:04decision making is going to go down and

10:06we'll make decisions that don't appear

10:07to be based on any logic or reason it's

10:10because our emotional brain is taking

10:11control and this is when we make a

10:13number of you know classic and tipical

10:15actions that we've all made and probably

10:16will make in the future and it's all the

10:19subconscious wanting to avoid pain now

10:22we are taught from a very young age that

10:24only winning and being right is pretty

10:26much rewarded right whether you win a

10:27trophy in sports or you get your grades

10:29on your exams now I'm not someone who

10:31believes in awarding everyone a

10:33participation medal but bringing this

10:36you know only winning and being right

10:38mental model which serves us well in

10:40most areas of life but bringing that

10:42mental model into trading it's terrible

10:44it's it's the worst environment to bring

10:46it in it's not a normal environment we

10:48need to be extremely comfortable with

10:50the idea of losing with having that

10:52uncertainty and risk on the table and

10:54dealing with a probabilistic environment

10:56a successful trading mindset requires

10:59you to not care about winning it

11:01requires you to not care about being

11:03right and ultimately all that matters is

11:05that you make money in the long run we

11:07know in a conventional business think

11:09like a brick-and Mor business you have

11:11costs you have rent you have supplies

11:12wages Insurance Etc but then you make

11:15your sales and then hopefully you make

11:16more sales than your costs and your

11:18difference is net profit right everyone

11:20gets that in business it's fine but in

11:22trading most people are trying to avoid

11:24those losses okay but actually if you

11:27just view them as the same way they're

11:28simply a cost of doing business taking a

11:31loss is just a cost of allowing your

11:32Edge to play out over the long run so

11:34that eventually you have a net profit

11:35over time now that's an extremely simple

11:38logical concept for us to understand but

11:40here's the problem we are not logical

11:43beings we are emotional beings who then

11:46try to rationalize our emotions with

11:48logic really it all boils down to the

11:50problem with the brain on uncertainty

11:53our brains our animal brains that we

11:55have evolved with they want to control

11:57the outcome they always want to be right

12:00and it wants to predict the future but

12:02none of those three things are

12:04controllable but we are hotwired to

12:06think that they are and that is what

12:07causes or what is makes trading so hard

12:10in the long run so let's dive into a bit

12:12of biology here right and just think

12:14about two parts of the brain first here

12:16we have the amydala so the amydala we

12:19can think about this as our lower minded

12:20animal this primitive brain that we have

12:22been talking about okay now this part of

12:24our brain it constantly wants to seek

12:26pleasure and avoid pains avoid pains at

12:29all costs so this is where you know our

12:30emotional center of the brain is that is

12:33just rooted to think about survival and

12:35protect us at all cost rights our

12:37primitive brain now here we have the

12:39neocortex so think about this as more of

12:41a higher minded animal this is

12:43responsible for our self-governance

12:45strategic thought and execution okay so

12:48rather than like just thinking about

12:50imminent survival this is thinking more

12:52about you know long-term thrival um and

12:54you know your Advanced thinking part of

12:56the brain okay now when you are stressed

12:58rest which is a lot of time when you're

13:00trading right when you have that risk on

13:01the table um you're trying to go for a

13:03funding challenge whatever it is all

13:06that um perceived sensy information

13:08right comes in and it gets processed by

13:10the amigdala first and that is where

13:12that emotional brain is kicking in with

13:14that flight of fright response and it

13:16essentially can hijack and block that

13:18information going up to your Neo context

13:20which is where your thinking brain is

13:22because the amigdala that makes

13:23decisions in nanc and it leads to you

13:26making impulsive decisions before you've

13:27even had a chance to think you know why

13:28did I even do that before you can um

13:31think it through so our job as Traders

13:33is to try and regulate the emotions that

13:34happen in migler and allow that to come

13:36up to neocortex then we can make the

13:39correct logical decisions that we know

13:41is conducive to long-term profitable

13:43trading so again remember our brains are

13:46amigdala it cannot see the difference

13:48between what is a true danger to your

13:50life right a biological threat to life

13:52biological fear it can't differentiate

13:55that between that and what is literally

13:57just a psychological disc comfort of

13:59having a bit of risk on the table so to

14:01the untrained brain any triggering of

14:03that threat it automatically produces

14:05biological fear responses in our body

14:07right from our primitive brain I'm sure

14:08you've experienced it trade starts going

14:10against you you sit forward in your

14:11chair you feel tight heart rate's going

14:13up you start selling whatever it is that

14:15is what is going on there your brain

14:16can't tell the difference between

14:18essentially like a saber t t sabertooth

14:21tiger coming at you right and just

14:23potentially you about to lose a bit of

14:24money or lose a funing challenge or

14:25whatever it is because you know it seems

14:27so simple I have a plan I'll follow my

14:29rules I'll make money I can do it on a

14:31demo account I can do it on back testing

14:33I bring that plan into live market where

14:34I have that real risk on the table and

14:36as Mike Tyson says everybody has a plan

14:38until they get punched in the mouth okay

14:40fight and flight response will kick in

14:42and then those Behavior patterns of you

14:44know fear and an aggression or avoidance

14:46those will kick in and that's when we

14:48make those classic mistakes so let's

The Hermetic Principles

14:50take these two parts of the brain that

14:52we've been talking about and let's draw

14:53them into a diagram and we're going to

14:55jump into some juicy stuff here now

14:57right so

14:59think about your higher animal mind at

15:00the top this is your soul your objective

15:03truth down at the bottom this is our

15:05lower animal mind right our primitive

15:06brain think of this as like the Physical

15:08Realm so all of our senses what we can

15:10see what we can touch and what we can

15:11smell what we can hear Etc so up at the

15:14top think of this as light now science

15:18tells us that if you are a particle of

15:20light right you are a photon you do not

15:23have any time you do not have any space

15:25you don't have any charge and you do not

15:27have any Mass okay okay now if you take

15:31two photons two particles of light and

15:33you smash them together they will split

15:35into a electron and a positron okay so

15:40now you have these and these do have

15:41mass these do have charges they do have

15:44space and they do have time okay now an

15:49ion is a charged particle okay that's

15:52what science tells us what psychology

15:53tells us is that an emotional person

15:56right we say they're a Charged person

15:58right they're charged with emotion so

16:01down here if we think about positive

16:03charges right positively charged

16:05emotions Elation right you're completely

16:08happy a lot of people a lot of the

16:10masses are constantly trying to chase

16:13this Elation chase this happiness chase

16:15the positive side right all the

16:17positives without negatives they're

16:18trying to chase the winning trades and

16:20avoid the losing trades avoid losing

16:22money all they want is that but the more

16:25that you swear away from being centered

16:26and balanced the more you trying to

16:28chase that one pole chase that one side

16:30Chase only the winning trades in the

16:31happiness guess what's going to happen

16:33you're going to snap back completely the

16:35other way okay so the more that people

16:37are constantly just trying to be elated

16:39you probably met them guess what they're

16:41some of the people that really struggle

16:42with depression when eventually they

16:44snap back the other way they're not calm

16:46centered and balanced in the middle um

16:50and this goes for every polarizing

16:51emotion optimism and pessimism right

16:54Pleasure and Pain greed and fear those

16:56are the big ones in trading

16:59so you know the more you chase the one

17:01side the more eventually you're going to

17:03snap back it's Newton's third law right

17:05for every reaction there is an equal and

17:07opposite reaction so the more you sway

17:09away from the center and the middle the

17:10more likely you're then going to snap

17:12back the other way and this is where the

17:13masses are the down at the bottom trying

17:15to chase the one side right trying to

17:16continuously Chase pleasure and avoid

17:18pain right getting drunk on the weekend

17:20doing drugs whatever it is just trying

17:22to escape from their mindset and what

17:23happens the more they chase that the

17:25more they push it comes Monday they're

17:27going to swing back to that depression

17:29that hangover and that anxiety okay so

17:33this is where the masses are down here

17:36now what I want you to think about the

17:37reason why I've drawn the diagram like

17:38this like a triangle is that there's a

17:40pendulum okay swinging down here so this

17:42is where the masses are swinging from

17:44pole to pole from trying to chase the

17:46positive swinging back down to the

17:48negatives okay so this is a low

17:50vibration now as you become more and

17:52more centered and you don't chase the

17:54two sides and you stay in the middle

17:56right naturally your pendulum is going

17:58to swing less and less and less and

18:00you're going to get smaller and smaller

18:01vibrations so you're essentially

18:03vibrating on a higher frequency okay so

18:07evolution is towards the light so our

18:11job as Traders is to do that right is to

18:14stop swinging between those two poles

18:16and to try and see things objectively as

18:18they are rather than being blinded by

18:20our emotions um you know in the moment

18:23what we spoke about okay that's where

18:24the Masters are the winning 10 20%

18:26whatever it is of Traders at the top

18:28they're the ones who can do that so down

18:30here remember we have our lower animal

18:32mind the emotional Center up at the top

18:34is our higher thinking mind where we're

18:36no longer you know swayed by those

18:38emotions but we can see things

18:39objectively as they are so to try and

18:41bring this back into a more simple

18:42example of what we're talking about when

18:44we made all of those mistakes before

18:45you're in a trade the emotions get high

18:47you break your rules you jump out of the

18:49trade whatever the mistake is afterwards

18:51that evening the weekend whenever it is

18:53and you Journal your trade the emotions

18:55are no longer there because the risk is

18:57no longer on the table right it's over

18:59you can think about it with your higher

19:00mind that is when you are calm and

19:02centered and you can see ah this is what

19:04I should have done oh there was negative

19:06or positive Confluence that I can see

19:08now but I missed it in the moment

19:09because I was so attached to one side

19:12right you know like your your um you're

19:14in a trade and it starts going against

19:16you all your brain can see on the chart

19:17is reasons as to why you should get out

19:19of the trade right you are blinded to

19:21the objective truth saying everything

19:23your brain literally plays tricks on you

19:25because it wants you to avoid that pain

19:26your middle is trying to protect prot

19:28you so it just wants you to get risk off

19:30the table your migdala um you know takes

19:32over and it's not letting that

19:33information pass through up to your um

19:35thinking brain so another way to think

19:37about this diagram is like you know

19:40let's say you you you win a trade

19:41followed your rules you win a trade do

19:44you then jump up start fist pumping

19:45high-fiving your mes of there like

19:46getting super happy about it posting

19:48screenshots of your mt4 everywhere

19:49getting super excited okay cool you do

19:51that you chase that positive side you're

19:53all the way over the here what do you

19:54think then is going to happen when you

19:56inevitably take a losing trade that's

19:59going to hit you so much harder right

20:01and you're going to swing into that

20:02depression that fear that pain whatever

20:04so the more that you chase the one side

20:05the more naturally you're going to go

20:07the other way so a simple exercise to do

20:10is next time you take those winning

20:11trades going forward win or loss try and

20:14just practice regulating no emotion

20:16right no physical reaction no emotional

20:19reaction just did you follow your rules

20:21did you follow your plan yes and you

20:22should ultimately strive to feel the

20:24same way no matter what right win or

20:26lose did you stick your rules that is

20:28all that matters okay so how do we do

20:33that how do we say centered calm and

20:35balance so we can strive to evolve

20:37towards the light right so we can become

20:40Photon Traders particles of light so we

20:42can see that objective truth and we can

20:43make trading decisions with a higher

20:45mind how do we do that because like we

20:47keep saying right we now know that we

The Problem of the Brain

20:49are wired to fail the brains that we are

20:51bought with cannot give us the success

20:53that we seek with trading right because

20:55we are asking our brains to do something

20:57that is a nightmare it's a deal with the

20:58risk and to be okay with it and to

21:00accept it right what Nature has given us

21:02is not what the artificial world of the

21:05market needs right we need to retrain it

21:07and rewire it to be able to deal with

21:08those probabilities to make the right

21:10long-term decisions and to be

21:11comfortable with risk in an uncertain

21:14environment right so how do we evolve

21:16towards the light where we can allow um

21:18you know our thinking brain to be in

21:19control well you've got two solutions

21:21here really the shortterm fix is to

21:23build and develop and acquire a

21:25mechanical strategy right one where you

21:27have a very tightly defined system where

21:29the rules are so crystal clear that you

21:31know what to do in every single scenario

21:34okay and that's going to give you the

21:36biggest chance of being able to stick to

21:38your rules and not let those emotions

21:40dictate your decision- making now the

21:43long term we need to work on rewiring

21:45our brains becoming the designer of our

21:48minds so that we are not essentially

21:50slaves and victims of those faar those

21:52flight or flight responses okay in my

21:55opinion both of these required this is

21:57the path that I'm trying to my own

21:58trading and what we try to teach at

22:01Photon trading okay so mechanical trade

Solution 1

22:04plan if you don't know like I said it's

22:05essentially something that just tells

22:06you what to do in every single scenario

22:08if this happens I do this if that

22:09happens I do that right okay you have a

22:11very tightly defined system because once

22:14you have that you learn a mechanical

22:16strategy you build a mechanical trade

22:18plan you can then quickly prove your

22:19Edge in the market with back testing or

22:21forward testing prove the data behind it

22:23that it works once you have that data

22:25this is the quickest way to get that

22:27more Bulletproof mindset right so you

22:30can rely on the data and you know that

22:32in the long run following those rules

22:33will be profitable that then gives you

22:35the consistent results because you're

22:36making consistent correct actions in the

22:38market and now you have a sustainable

22:40method that you can rely on right to

22:42scale your accounts and to grow your

22:44Capital long term okay and that is

22:47exactly what we help our Traders with at

22:49Photon trading where we literally hand

22:51them our exact mechanical trade plans

22:53for both our day and swing trading

22:55strategies right we help you implement

22:56that into the market we help you collect

22:58data on that to prove it quickly that

23:00your trade plan has an edge your brain

23:02can then see that becomes a lot easier

23:04to follow your rules in the long run

23:06okay and you can see all of our case

23:07studies here on the website some of our

23:09members who have had um yeah really good

23:11success with this so we do this for you

23:13our full endtoend course absolutely

23:15everything is covered even if you have

23:16zero knowledge in the market so this is

23:18all done for you where we literally

23:20teach you and hand you our strategy but

23:22we don't just leave you there we show

23:23you day in day out session by session

23:26how we Implement those mechanical rules

23:28into the market and capitalize on

23:29different market conditions we have

23:32daily session Recaps every single day

23:34going over this in depth markups

23:36analysis a lot and of course we have our

23:38community on Discord um where you can

23:39ask any questions they all get answered

23:41um yeah the level of mentoring in here

23:43is just unrivaled um you you will not

23:45get this anywhere else you can see here

23:48just the course um we've got over 148

23:50lessons I think at the moment um you

23:52know we go super in depth there every

23:54single topic is covered in extreme depth

23:57um you know we have tons of lessons and

23:58even you know more lessons in here

24:00hidden beneath as well as all of the

24:02session Recaps trade Recaps back tests

24:04live meetups that we have um yeah it's

24:06just an insane amount of useful

24:08resources within here and then of course

24:10we also have the community like I said

24:11where um we've got all of our markups

24:13posted every session for three pairs

24:15every day in depth where we go through

24:17this we've got swing channels analysis

24:19channels day trading the lot it is

24:20absolutely insane so if you're

24:22interested click the link in the bio

24:23below I would love to work with you I'd

24:26love to get our plans in your hand hands

24:28work with you to develop them get them

24:29in there build that bulletproof mindset

24:31and start making consistent gains now

Solution 2

24:34all training strategies fit somewhere

24:36along the scale where on one end you

24:38have completely discretionary right so

24:40there's you almost have no rules all the

24:42way to 100% mechanical where literally

24:45that is how you would have to have

24:46something that you have coded into an

24:48algorithm right where there is zero room

24:50for human discretion in my opinion if

24:53you are a manual Trader right so you're

24:54human who executes your strategy I

24:56believe The Sweet Spot is kind of around

24:58that 70 to 80% Mark where you have some

25:00room for human discretion as that's

25:02actually what gives you an edge over

25:04algorithms because you can take in all

25:06of that information based on your

25:08intuition and experience with many

25:09different variables and choose whether

25:11or not to execute a trade okay now even

25:15if you had a strategy that is 100%

25:17mechanical and you had an algorithm

25:19executing it so you're not even getting

25:21involved I've still seen people who have

25:23this in their hands they have access to

25:25an algo and they still let their

25:27psychology get in the way and they mess

25:29it up right it goes into a bit of

25:30expected draw down but their brain can't

25:32handle it their amigdala can't handle it

25:34fight flight response comes in and they

25:36turn off the algo and they wait until

25:37they see the algo starting to make those

25:39profitable trades again right and then

25:40they turn it back on but if you know

25:42anything about trading and trading an

25:43edge that's a recipe for disaster

25:45because you cannot predict when your

25:47winning and losing trades will be okay

25:49we are dealing with random distribution

25:52so no matter what we need to rewire our

25:54brains because the brain that we brought

25:55to training cannot give you the success

25:57you seek until you do this now rewire

26:00your brain it sounds like a bit of an

26:01iffy concept but scientists are now

26:03proving that this is literally

26:04biologically possible through

26:06neuroplasticity which is the ability of

26:07the brain to reorganize itself both in

26:10structure and how it functions okay

26:12beyond the scope of this lesson we're

26:13not going to dive into uh you know the

26:15exact science behind that but it's about

26:18we need to become you know this is what

26:20Randy how talks about learning to become

26:21the designer of the mind that engages

26:24that uncertainty of the market rather

26:25than letting our fight uh you fight or

26:27flight response taking over okay from

26:30our primitive brains this way as he says

26:32we move from the fantasy of trying to

26:34control the outcome trying to control

26:37what will happen in that individual

26:38trade okay we cannot influence that

26:41instead what can we influence we can

26:42focus on the things that we can control

26:44and we can control the mind that we

26:47bring to managing that uncertainty so

26:50what does that mean well it means that

26:51when you have that uncy and risk on the

26:52table and the trade's going against you

26:54you don't interfere okay you feel the

26:56emotion you do not act upon it like I

26:59said here we have random distribution so

27:01you might know your stats tell you that

27:03your strategy has a 60% win rate in the

27:05long run so our brains think yeah okay

27:07every 10 trades we probably have six

27:08winners and four losers but we have no

27:11idea what sequence those wins and losses

27:13will occur and that is an absolute mind

27:15for us it's so hard to deal with

27:17right because we want to win we don't

27:19want to experience those pains and

27:20losses we don't want to have three or

27:22four trades loses in a row right we want

27:23it to be predictable which is really

27:25really hard to deal with so we need to

27:28learn to manage the emotions that give

27:30rise to the mind that engages that

27:31uncertainty right we want to learn with

27:33to approach it with discipline

27:35impartiality and to be patient right to

27:37have that long-term Vision so you're

27:39always going to feel these emotions but

27:41you need to learn to choose one thought

27:43over another let your thinking brain be

27:45in control and as Randy H says you need

27:47to let go of the need to win and then

27:49your job becomes one of performance

27:51instead you need to win every trade it's

27:52not like a sports game you need to be in

27:55control of the things that you control

27:57how do you do your analysis do you turn

27:59up on time do you join all your trades

28:02right all of these things and then when

28:03you have that mental Edge in place that

28:05is then what drives your strategy Edge

28:07successful training is really those

28:08three things having a profitable

28:10strategy having the correct risk

28:11management in place to allow it to play

28:13out and then your mindset is what then

28:15allows you to stick to your rules and to

28:17allow that to play out you need all

28:19three so a good analogy is to think of a

28:21Trader's mindset as like a surfer okay

28:24the surfer is not trying to fight or

28:25control or predict the wave the surfer

28:28lets whatever wave is produced whatever

28:30price action the market wants to do and

28:31he learns to go with the flow right he

28:33learns how to deal with whatever way

28:36whatever wave presents whatever way the

28:37wave wants to move he learns how to deal

28:39with it and go and you know goes with

28:40the flow there so bit of a simple

28:41analogy there but I think it's something

28:43that kind of made a lot of sense to me

28:44that help me to think about that not

28:45getting attached to biases going with

28:47the flow of how price action moves

28:48literally think about about it as order

28:49flow of you with um and yeah I think

28:51it's a pretty cool way to think about

28:53how we want to be because it's Paramount

28:56to think the correct way otherwise

28:58you'll be emotionally robbed of your

29:00greatest opportunity now this secture

29:02was inspired like I said earlier by Tom

29:03hugard the Hermetic principles John D

29:05Martini leis mocka and Randy how so do

29:09feel free to to uh go diing deeper into

29:11some of these resources if you so desire

Summary

29:14so hopefully you now understand a little

29:16bit more about the brain what it is that

29:18we are trying to deal with why we make

29:20those mistakes that we make because the

29:22first step is understanding the why

29:23because then that allows you to take the

29:25responsibility of your actions going

29:27forward you now know what you need to do

29:29to start to work on that to start

29:30becoming the designer of the mind to

29:32start trying to regulate your emotions

29:34so that we can not let our our amigdala

29:36our lower animal mind keep taking

29:38control and stopping us from making

29:40those long-term decisions that are

29:42conducive to profitable trading so the

29:44short-term fix get a profitable strategy

29:47the easiest way to do that is make it as

29:48systemized and mechanical as possible

29:50within reason prove your rules collect

29:52data on it and then from there you can

29:54build on it whilst long-term working on

29:56developing the mindset so I really enjoy

29:58this lecture you know there's a lot of

30:00other people in there who have

30:01influenced this that I've taken from and

30:02kind of mixed it all together with those

30:03philosophies that I've now applied to

30:05trading um in a way that makes sense to

30:07me so I hope you guys resonated with

30:08that it's not it's not for everyone um

30:10it is what it is but yeah if you like

30:12that let me know in the comments

30:14otherwise watch these next two videos to

30:15make an instant Improvement to your
