Why Digital Product Marketing Matters
0:00It all comes down to how you promote and market your digital product.
0:03This is the difference between you actually making sales or it being a
0:06complete flop and waste of your time.
0:09The issue is all of the gurus Gate keep this information.
0:13They keep it inside $500 one.
0:15Thousand dollars marketing courses because they don't want you to know
0:18how to market your digital product.
0:20Well that stops today because I'm showing you my completely free organic strategy.
0:26You don't need to use ads, and I'm gonna show you exactly how and where you
0:30should be promoting your digital product.
0:32This is a banger of a video and you're gonna wanna stay to the end.
0:35Let's get into it.
Meet Your Digital Product Coach
0:38Hi friends.
0:38I'm Rochelle.
0:39I'm a six figure digital product coach and mentor, and I help you start
0:43and grow your own digital product businesses with the help of ai.
0:47Now, if you have a digital product, you probably know that
0:49the toughest part is marketing.
0:51You don't know what platform to be posting on.
0:53You don't know what actually to be posting.
0:55And a lot of the time when you start, it can feel like you're
0:57just putting content out there.
0:59It's just going into a void.
1:00You're not getting any sales, and you're wondering if you're
1:02doing this whole thing, right?
1:04So today we're gonna go through.
1:05Every single platform and how you can be marketing your digital product
1:09without spending any money on ads.
1:11Just before we jump in, I want you to know that ads actually aren't your enemy.
1:15I don't recommend starting with ads, but once you get going with
1:18your content, it's a great way to make more money without having to be
1:22glued to social media all the time.
1:24But that's for another video.
1:25Let's.
1:26Get straight into this.
Marketing vs Selling (Know the Difference)
1:27And the first thing I need you to know is that while you can make the
1:30prettiest product in the world, if no one sees it, it just won't sell.
1:35And that's why creating is only one piece of the puzzle.
1:39And even when you buy MRR or PLR courses, which take care of the creating for
1:45you, you still need to learn how to actually sell your product, which is
1:49why it's so important and actually.
1:52Creating is only 20%.
1:54Marketing is the other 80% because that is what is going to make
1:57you money and make you sales.
1:59So let's quickly clarify what the difference is between
2:03marketing and selling.
2:04They go hand in hand and you need both of them.
2:08They do slightly different things.
2:09So marketing is all about.
2:11Getting visibility, and just in case you're wondering why you should listen
2:14to me, I have over 15 years experience of marketing, not just digital
2:19marketing, all types of marketing.
2:21I've worked with the biggest brands, Nike, Facebook, Dyson, so many.
2:25Amazon.
2:26Amazon was one of my biggest clients for a long time, so I
2:28know what marketing looks like.
2:30And marketing really is about building desirability for your.
2:35Product.
2:35People need to desire your brand even if they can't afford it.
2:38Think about a brand that you can't afford that you love.
2:40Okay?
2:41So for me, that used to be a brand like Louis Vuitton.
2:43I loved that brand.
2:45I wanted Louis Vuitton bag forever, and I just could not afford it.
2:48And so that is, that is marketing.
2:51Marketing had my, had me brainwashed, okay?
2:53And even though now I can't afford it, it's not something
2:55that I would spend money on.
2:56But anyway, marketing is about making your products feel desirable.
2:59And selling is about actually turning people into buyers.
3:03Okay? So you need to get good at.
3:04Both of them, but you can start with visibility.
3:07So if you're right at the start, you just need to learn how to get your products
3:10out there and get people actually seeing your products so they can start buying.
3:14All right.
Pinterest Marketing Strategy (My Secret Weapon)
3:15Now I wanna start off with Pinterest.
3:17This is a platform that a lot of people, um, sleep on, people sleep on Pinterest.
3:22They think that you can't make sales and Pinterest, and it's all about
3:25pretty mood boards and aesthetic images, and it is about that.
3:30But Pinterest is actually one of the only platforms that will reward you
3:34for linking people off the platform.
3:37So for Pinterest, every time you create a pin, there's a little
3:39field, there's a URL field.
3:41You can put in your URLs that when people click on that pin, they will go wherever
3:45you send them, whether that's to a blog post, whether that's to your sales page,
3:49your digital product landing page, your freebie page, and that is why I love
3:54Pinterest because it is built to drive.
3:57Clicks and the best way to use it is to grow your email list.
4:00So once you have a lead magnet and I have an email training, I'll link it somewhere.
4:05It's amazing.
4:06Once you build your lead magnet, use Pinterest to drive
4:10clicks to your lead magnet.
4:12It is the best strategy for growing your email list, and we're gonna come
4:16onto how you can use your email list.
4:19To help turn your freebie downloaders into actual buyers.
4:23I also love Pinterest because it's so low effort.
4:26You can schedule nowhere to like about a hundred pins in an hour or two.
4:31I can do it in about an hour.
4:32Most newbies probably need to, and if you want that in a video, I want you to drop.
4:36Pinterest or even pins in the comments.
4:38So I know that.
4:39And honestly, it is great for introverts.
4:42You don't have to be on Pinterest talking, you don't have to
4:44be talking to the camera.
4:45You don't have to be doing all of this.
4:46Okay?
4:46So all of this isn't a bit of you.
4:48Pinterest will work perfectly for you and you can also repurpose your tiktoks
4:53and your I Instagrams there as well.
4:55I absolutely love Pinterest and so I have given it a.
4:58Four out of five star rating.
TikTok for Digital Products (Worth It?)
5:01Okay, let's talk about TikTok.
5:03Okay.
5:04My baby TikTok, this is where I started.
5:06A bit of background.
5:07I made my first 16 K selling digital products on TikTok.
5:11Before that, I'd already made money on Etsy, but I knew that I
5:15wanted to take my business outside of Etsy for so many reasons.
5:18Check out another.
5:19Free training that I have below on why I think that you should be
5:22not selling on Etsy, especially not as your only platform, right?
5:25You need other platforms.
5:27So when I first started doing social media, it was on TikTok and it
5:30took me so long to grow on TikTok.
5:33It took me like months to get my first 50 followers, and then I was able to get a
5:37thousand followers really quickly because I started to understand how TikTok works.
5:41TikTok is great if you just wanna set up your camera and start talking.
5:44If you wanna talk to the screen, if you want to be that
5:47personality, TikTok is excellent.
5:50Okay?
5:50You are gonna get a lot of visibility.
5:53However, the thing is, it is high maintenance, please.
5:57TikTok is high maintenance.
5:58You need to be posting at least three times a day to get traction
6:01for a long time to grow your TikTok.
6:03Once you're at like 10 20 k, you can take it down a step, but it, it takes
6:07a while and it takes a lot out of you.
6:09It's also, you are really gonna see the power of TikTok on your lives,
6:13especially when you first start out.
6:14So when you are going live and you're actually selling your product live, that
6:17is where I was making a lot of money.
6:19I actually made over 500.
6:20Dollars, pounds actually in one live.
6:22And I was on live for like two, three hours, so that was amazing.
6:25However, I dunno about you, but I don't have the social battery
6:28to be on live all the time.
6:29And so as soon as I stopped feeling like going on live or you know,
6:33I was still juggling my nine to five, I didn't have much time.
6:36My income went like this, so it was so inconsistent.
6:39So for me, TikTok is a recipe for burnout.
6:42You are gonna have to post a lot if you want to use it as your primary platform.
6:46And so if you can't keep.
6:47With that algorithm.
6:49If you can't be posting three times a day, if you can't be doing trending
6:52little dances, then TikTok is not gonna be the best platform for you.
Instagram Marketing Tips (Without Burnout)
6:56Alright, so now let's talk about Instagram.
6:59Now, I've been on a journey with Instagram.
7:02I started trying to grow my Instagram late last year, and what I found is that
7:06Instagram was a slower growth than TikTok.
7:08Okay?
7:08It took me longer to grow on Instagram, but the people that I was.
7:12Capturing and engaging with.
7:14On Instagram, we're buying more.
7:16Okay, so it took longer, but they actually had more purchasing power.
7:19So the purchasing power of an Instagram user is more than a TikTok user,
7:23and I honestly think even though a lot of us are on TikTok, I honestly
7:26think that it's because it is still a slightly older demographic on
7:30Instagram in in like overall, right?
7:32There's a lot of younguns on TikTok, which is not always a bad thing.
7:35But anyway, Instagram had a higher purchasing power and it's
7:38because also you, there are so many automations that you can use.
7:41I have an automations video, I link it here, where you can use many chat to
7:45pretty much automate all of your sales.
7:48And I love that about Instagram, and I wish you could do that
7:51on TikTok, but you can't.
7:52I tell you what I'm using for awareness in a minute, but I'm
7:54not using Instagram for awareness.
7:56I'm using it to nurture the audience that I already have.
7:58So I'm sending people from my YouTube to my Instagram.
8:01I'm sending people from my email list to my Instagram.
8:04I like people to watch my stories.
8:06I do do quite a lot of stories, and that is where the selling really happens.
8:10Okay?
8:10They're going to make a lot of money on your Instagram stories, especially
8:14when you use many chat, okay?
8:16The thing is that Instagram can feel very overwhelming and it takes a while to
8:20grow, which is why I've given it a 3.5.
8:23Outta five.
8:24And I've said that actually it's not essential.
8:27Okay. It really isn't.
8:28But what I've love Instagram for is getting people on my
8:31email list as well as Pinterest.
8:33And the thing is, your email list is always gonna be the most profitable thing.
8:37Okay?
8:38So rather than me wanting just to get one sale, I would rather get
8:42people on my email list so I can grow a relationship with them.
8:46Sell to them over and over again.
Email Marketing for Digital Sales
8:48And the reason why email really works so well, it's actually 40 times more
8:53effective than social media, any type of, um, channel is because you get
8:58this long-term relationship with people and you're not fighting the algorithm.
9:03I'm not fighting the algorithm when it comes to email.
9:06Okay, this is my audience.
9:08I can send them an email whenever I want.
9:10And I am in control of whether they open that email because it's.
9:13All about my subject lines.
9:15So all I have to do is improve my subject lines and people are gonna open
9:18my emails, they're gonna get to know me, and they're gonna start buying my
9:21products, and that is what I have found.
9:23So email talk to any business owner.
9:26Watch any business coach, they will tell you that it's the most profitable
9:29channel, and this is why it is.
9:31So important to have a lean magnet and make sure you are promoting
9:35that lean magnet on Pinterest.
9:37Or if you wanna use Instagram and TikTok, promote it there.
9:40Use ManyChat and get people on your email list that you can then
9:44send them an automated sequence.
9:45So like I say, I have training.
9:47I'm not gonna go into this in too much detail, but just know that it's
9:51five out of five my forever fve.
9:53Okay, love, love email right now let's talk about Facebook.
Facebook Groups for Digital Products
9:56So Facebook feels like a bit like.
9:59Oh, do people still use Facebook?
10:01Surely not.
10:02Uh, can't be bothered with Facebook, but I've actually found Facebook has its place
10:06and it really depends on your audience.
10:08So, for a slightly older audience and 35 plus this, I'm, I'm pretty much in
10:13this age bracket, so I'm old as well.
10:16Um.
10:16Actually 35 isn't old.
10:18Please, please disregard that.
10:19Um, that is the sweet spot though.
10:21If you are talking to a millennial audience, you are
10:23gonna wanna use Facebook.
10:25Facebook works really well, and because it's integrated with Instagram, you
10:28can use the two of them really easily.
10:30Like you can post on one and it will automatically post on the
10:33other, which is pretty, pretty good.
10:35And.
10:36Also Facebook groups.
10:37Hear me out guys.
10:38Facebook groups aren't dead.
10:40Facebook groups are not dead.
10:42I thought they might be before I started promoting my digital product, I did not
10:46even think of Facebook groups, but they work really, really well and especially
10:49because a lot of them are niched down.
10:52So if you are going after a certain group, let's say you are promoting
10:56a product that is great for busy moms or great for people that have.
11:01Are into a certain thing.
11:03All you need to do is find a group on Facebook that is about that topic.
11:07Start posting, start becoming a valuable member of the group, and
11:10then you can start to sell your offers if the group allows it.
11:13And it's a great way to do it.
11:15I actually have a student that made six K in revenue.
11:19She has a, um, nutritional guide.
11:21It's all about wellbeing.
11:23She joined a nutritional group.
11:25And it took off guys.
11:26It really took off and I was shocked.
11:28I personally was shocked.
11:29Even though we came up with a strategy together, I was shocked and I was like,
11:32okay, Facebook group where it's at.
11:35Okay.
11:35Had another client that made 20 K just from Facebook as well,
11:39so six k just in the groups.
11:42Another client that made 20 K by posting on their in Facebook
11:46groups, but also on their like.
11:48General posts as well.
11:49So really, really powerful.
11:51But it depends on the audience.
11:52Okay, so if you have an audience that is on Facebook and you know they're on
11:55Facebook, you've done your research, it is still a very, very powerful resource.
12:00Keep in by the guys that school is coming for them.
12:03I dunno if you know about school.
12:05It's a place where you can host communities, have
12:07communities, tell communities.
12:09It's really good.
12:09I'm about to open a school group soon, so let me know in the comments
12:13if you wanna be part of that.
12:14I'm gonna offer mentorship, I'm gonna be offering calls, I'm
12:17gonna be offering templates.
12:18All of this stuff you see on YouTube ad. So much more.
12:21You're gonna love it.
12:22Drop school in the comments if you are excited for that.
LinkedIn for Digital Product Creators
12:26Okay, next one we are gonna talk about is LinkedIn, guys.
12:29LinkedIn is another one that is slept on a bit like Pinterest.
12:32Not a lot of people are seeing the opportunities in LinkedIn, but I
12:36see the opportunities in LinkedIn.
12:38It is great for professional audiences if you are trying to reach.
12:42Any type of person to do with businesses or professions.
12:47So real estate.
12:48I've seen clients doing really well on LinkedIn legal services.
12:51I've got a client that is a paralegal and has created like a legal
12:55pack for other paralegals, and it works so well, so, so well, and
13:00you don't need to post every day.
13:02Literally, you can post three times a week and that is enough, as
13:05long as you're using story based.
13:07Posts.
13:08Okay.
13:08So make sure you are telling a story and they're really interesting.
13:12Just make sure they're not dry and boring.
13:14So if you wanna reach a professional audience, if you wanna sell high ticket
13:18programs, if you also wanna be in an environment that's less saturated,
13:22you know, Instagram's super saturated.
13:24TikTok is super saturated.
13:26This is a less saturated platform and so you are going to love it.
13:30Um, and so I've given it a 3.5, especially if you are going
13:34after high value audiences.
13:36If you just want high value audiences that are going to be paying
13:40over a thousand pounds for your coaching or for your courses, then
13:43I would give it a five out five.
13:45Okay.
13:46Alright.
13:46So I hope you're still with me 'cause I'm about to come onto my.
YouTube for Trust & Traffic
13:49Favorite, favorite, favorite platform, which is a YouTube.
13:52And believe it or not, I've only been taking my YouTube seriously for
13:56the last three months, and I have grown exponentially, like beyond
14:00any of my wildest hopes or dreams.
14:02So I thank you for even watching this video and being part of my journey.
14:06But just know as someone that has tried TikTok, tried Instagram,
14:11tried, um, Pinterest, still love Pinterest, by the way, YouTube.
14:15Is my hands down favorite?
14:18Okay.
14:19I've called it my 2025 favorite Five out of five.
14:23So why long form builds Deep connection?
14:26And I know you've probably heard short form videos.
14:28Make sure your video is less than 10 seconds or five seconds, or
14:32even three seconds on Instagram.
14:33It's not about that on YouTube.
14:35YouTube is all about the long form and how you can really build a. Deep
14:39connection with people and I love it.
14:41I feel like I can show so much more of my personality and my knowledge and my story
14:45on YouTube, which helps a lot of people.
14:47But you can also use shorts if you are more into the shorter form content,
14:51use shorts, and that works really well.
14:53I hear gurus on here saying.
14:55Don't use shorts to grow your YouTube.
14:57Well, I like shorts and they work really well for me, so I
15:01think you should try them too.
15:02And actually you get a really high quality buyer.
15:05I've not seen buyers such a high quality and so on it and ready to
15:10start their business since I started YouTube and I have before like.
15:14All of my buyers that I get through YouTube are like,
15:16come on, I want your coaching.
15:17Let's go.
15:18Let's do this.
15:18And I'm like, yes, let's do this.
15:20Whereas on other platforms, I don't get that same type of buyer.
15:23A lot of them don't quite understand business and they need a lot more
15:27nurturing, and I don't mind doing that, but actually I can help
15:30people that are ready to go, and that's what I find on YouTube.
15:33And it's just a great mixture of nurture and selling.
15:36I'm not actually actively selling on YouTube at all.
15:39I'm just giving lots of value.
15:40I'm nurturing and I am making sales.
15:42Every single day from YouTube.
15:44Don't underestimate this platform.
15:47It is amazing.
15:48And that is why if I was starting all over again in 2025, I'd
15:55only use Pinterest in YouTube.
15:56That's it.
15:57Pinterest, for all the SEO optimized search.
16:00Traffic and YouTube for growing my relationship, growing my awareness,
16:05being kind of my main channel.
16:07And then email, because email works for every single platform.
16:10That is what I would do.
My Full Organic Marketing Strategy
16:11Like that is it, and I would only post a couple of times a week, and
16:15so I just want to remind you that.
16:18All roads, no matter what you choose, whether you choose YouTube
16:21and Pinterest, like I recommend, or you choose other platforms,
16:25everything leads to your email list.
16:27I know I talked about email list, but I have to talk about it again, right?
16:30So this is how it works.
16:31You post your content, whatever platform you want.
16:33You post your content, then you more often than not drive people to your freebie.
16:38Sometimes you can drive straight through to your product, but in my opinion,
16:42it is much more profitable to get people to download your freebie, but
16:45first and get them on your email list.
16:48And this is where you send automated sequences, and this way you check
16:51out this training on how you can use email marketing, and then you sell
16:56and you find that you can sell much.
16:58Better, much higher price.
16:59And even repeat customers, you'll get a lot of repeat customers
17:02because they've already been through this journey with you.
17:05They know you, they like you, they trust you, and they are
17:08then ready to buy from you.
17:09Okay?
17:10So every platform needs to go to your email list.
17:12Lead magnets are essential for email growth.
17:15Email really is where the sales happen.
17:17I get quite a lot of sales direct from YouTube, but I
17:20get the most sales when I use.
17:22Pinterest or YouTube, get them free to my free read and then
17:25get them on my email list.
17:26And you own your audience, guys, you own your email list.
17:29No one can take it away.
17:30If a platform shuts down, if we get a drama with TikTok again
17:34or any other platform, Meta's about to have a huge lawsuit.
17:37Guys.
17:38Meta is about to have a.
17:40Bankrupting lawsuit.
17:41If it goes ahead, if these platforms close down, you will still have your email list.
17:45No one can ever take it away from you.
17:48So make sure you start building your email list from day one.
Soft Selling vs Hard Selling (Do This First)
17:52Now, because you've got to this point in the video, I want to give
17:55you a special treat, which is.
17:56A bit of that insight into some of the things you would expect in my
17:59coaching, because this is the stuff that you don't see everywhere else.
18:02This is really a framework for how you set up your first 60 days
18:06promoting your digital product.
18:07The big thing that I want you to know is that you should be about
18:10serving for the first 60 days.
18:12I don't actually want you to worry about selling anything.
18:15I want you to serve your audience.
18:16I want you to do it authentically, and I want you to really put
18:20your all into it because.
18:21This is how you build relationships.
18:24Business is about relationship.
18:25Let me repeat that for you.
18:27Business is about relationships.
18:29Whether you are doing it faced, whether you are doing it faceless.
18:31If you do not build a relationship with your customers, not only are
18:34you gonna not make sales, but if you do, you're gonna make one sale
18:38and they're never gonna come back.
18:39You're not gonna have a thriving or soft life business if you can
18:42only convert your customers once.
18:43You are always gonna be going and finding new customers, which is totally draining.
18:48So give value.
18:49Build trust, solve problems for people.
18:52If you can't solve a problem for someone, you have no business selling a product.
18:56I'm telling you straight.
18:57So demonstrate your expertise and then you can have a soft launch.
19:01You don't have to worry about chasing down leads or DMing people or
19:05doing any of that icky stuff, okay?
19:07People will find you.
19:08You will attract your right buyers and your right.
19:11Customers.
19:11And so another gem is that you should only pick two platforms.
19:15Honestly, I stand by this.
19:17Mine are YouTube and Pinterest.
19:19Choose yours.
19:20Choose one for more long form and more nurture content, and one for kind of more
19:25short form and search driven content.
19:28That is what I would recommend.
19:29Okay?
19:30So make sure you choose one platform and focus on one.
19:34Product.
19:34Okay, go deep.
19:37Go deep.
19:38Not wide.
19:38So don't choose loads of different platforms.
19:40Choose to go really deep, give it your all.
19:44Really commit to it and you are really going to see the difference.
19:49Okay, so with all of this, I think the next video you're gonna
19:52wanna watch is my Pinterest video.
19:54It's gonna show you how to set up your Pinterest and how you should be using the
19:58funnel to get people onto your email list.
20:01I've also got my email vi video down below.
20:03You're gonna love it.
