0:00over the last several years vinyl has
0:05become more and more popular it's like
0:08it's snowballing
0:09it's like doubling the double the double
0:11day it's amazing and I'm so happy about
0:13it I think there's at least a few
0:17reasons why vinyl is showing such a
0:20visible rise in popularity and just just
0:24these are my theories vinyl is a
0:26physical thing in the world it becomes a
0:29part of your life like a like a family
0:32member because now you have to lug it
0:34around and you have to take care of it
0:35you're responsible for this thing you
0:37can't loan it to a friend because it's
0:39going to come back with a dinged corner
0:41and you can't have it
0:42and so I think all of that physical
0:46stuff comes into play where were the CD
0:50you scratch them up they still play the
0:53artworks so small you don't really look
0:56at it because you don't have a
0:57magnifying glass handy and it's not a
1:00substantial thing that you paid for
1:02these are just my theories and the fact
1:05that vinyl is delicate it's a fragile
1:07thing that is easy to harm and if you
1:11care at all you're kind of in for a
1:14penny in for a pound if you care this
1:16much you care the rest of the way and
1:18after you you hear how good it sounds
1:21and how much fun it is to get the record
1:23when it comes out like when you get it
1:25mail-order and you take it out of the
1:26mail or go yeah or on release day you go
1:29to the record store you're like man I'm
1:31so happy I scored this you know a you
1:33know cartwheels on the way home that joy
1:37and just how good it sounds when you
1:40play it back I think it just becomes a
1:43real analog part of your life I don't
1:47know vinyl to me is just more of a human
1:48investment in yourself in the listening
1:51experience and like I said when you go
1:54in part where you go in all the way with
1:56vinyl and your sincerity comes to the
1:59forefront and I think that's that's
2:01really where it's at
