1:06I have I grew up with two younger
1:09brothers and an older sister I grew up
1:12with just my mother single mom so she
1:15was always working a lot and my sister
1:18was gone very early at age 16 so I
1:21basically feel like I grew up as the
1:23older sister got the brothers so like I
1:29said my mom worked very hard and was
1:31gone a lot of the time she'd often work
1:33a job during the day and I'd come home
1:35and go back to another job so I was
1:40looking after my younger brothers quite
1:42often at a pretty young age I guess
1:44and yeah I did think other to be very
1:48reliant on myself
1:50at about age 16 the same age as my
1:52sister she was also looking after me
1:54when my mom was out working so much I
1:57think the same reason I kind of got
1:59not being a kid and so much
2:02responsibility so I left home as well
2:03and
2:05you know I got a job my name is Laurie
2:09Beulah 9 56 years old I was born and
2:13raised in the Philippines I have two
2:15children and I'm married I came from a
2:19big family I have eight siblings with
2:22twin sisters and I am the youngest my
2:26parents stayed married until death do
2:30them part
2:30because marriage is really very
2:32important in our culture I finished my
2:36bachelor of arts major in psychology
2:41when I was 19
2:43from then I started to work and started
2:49also to have my own family I stayed with
2:54my parents I still stayed with my
2:59parents when I was during my first year
3:03of marriage but at the age of 29
3:07then I separated from my parents what
3:11are our similarities as an easy D both
3:16of us learned to be aware of individuals
3:18needs learn the value of respect
3:21humility kindness and acceptance working
3:26in a community with different culture
3:29helped us understand respect and adopt
3:34what is best for everyone our life goal
3:37to raise our own children in love and
3:40respect with themselves and with those
3:43people around us how others see me
3:48fun-loving and energetic
3:50I always look forward seeing her in the
3:52morning because she always brightens my
3:54day Zoe's dancing
3:55and singing and she always pulls the
3:57kids into it and she gets them really
3:59excited about its life
