0:11year you blame people.
0:15You allow another person to be
0:17responsible for your life. Yeah. Get to
0:21the driver's seat of your life.
0:26Everybody has Everybody has goals.
0:30beginning of the year. Oh, this goal.
0:32Oh, new new year, new me. But I'm
0:36telling you, I want you to take steps be
0:39um in line with it, and your life will
0:41not remain the same.
0:44>> Let me tap your neighbor. Tell them
0:45something's about to happen to you.
0:47>> You're about to see a new you.
0:50>> But you need to take up responsibility.
0:54>> Remember, responsibility is your
0:56response to his ability.
0:59We understand that is God is sovereign
1:02but we have to respond based on what we
1:05believe and your life will not remain
1:06the same.
1:07>> Give the Lord a hand as you take your
1:09seat.
1:12I want to share something very important
1:15this morning.
1:18In my opinion is the most important
1:20message you will hear this year.
1:23Amen. Yet
1:27and your life [snorts] not remain the
1:28same.
1:29>> Exodus 8 verse8 is my deliberation.
1:35Now this is the narrative of when Moses
1:38went to Egypt and began to release the
1:41plagues to let God's people go.
1:46Now he got to a point he be he started
1:48releasing frogs.
1:52When they opened tap the tap in Egypt
1:55frogs came out under the bed sheet frogs
1:59were there. They wanted to cook. Frogs
2:01were there
2:03everywhere. Frogs were there.
2:06And so the Bible says, "Then Pharaoh
2:08called Moses and Aaron and said,
2:11"Entreat the Lord,
2:13that he may take away the frogs from me,
2:17from my people, and I will let the
2:20people go
2:23that they may sacrifice to the Lord."
2:25Look at verse 9, everybody. And Moses
2:27said to Pharaoh, "As accept the honor of
2:30saying when I shall intercede for you,
2:34for your servant and your people to
2:37destroy the frog from you and your
2:40houses that they may remain in the river
2:43only."
2:45And Pharaoh said, "Tomorrow."
2:49And he said, "Let it be according to
2:51your word that you may know that there's
2:54no one like the Lord our God." In other
2:58words, if you you chose tomorrow, I'm
3:01going to come tomorrow and do it. So,
3:03which means that night Pharaoh was going
3:06to sleep with frogs.
3:08Which means he couldn't drink water. He
3:10couldn't cook. His citizens were there.
3:15It's amazing how Christians wants to
3:18still stay with frogs and they say
3:20tomorrow.
3:22It's amazing how that when your life can
3:25change right now you are thinking no no
3:28no no maybe next week maybe day after
3:30tomorrow maybe maybe in two weeks time
3:33maybe next month I will do it. Today I
3:36want to share with you something that is
3:39subtle.
3:41It's not just a bad habit. It's a thief.
3:45It's called procrastination.
3:48It It sounds normal.
3:51Is noninvasive.
3:53Is
3:55it looks like it's not a big deal, but
3:58it has stopped many people from doing
4:00great exploits.
4:03People can pray. People can fast. People
4:06can come to church. People can hear the
4:09word. People can take notes. But
4:12something stops you from taking steps.
4:16And I'm not just sizing. I'm not talking
4:18generally. I'm talking about a major
4:21thing that happened to your grandfather,
4:23happened to your father. You didn't like
4:26it then, but somehow
4:29you are beginning to embrace it.
4:32There's nobody that will say they will
4:34not do what they're supposed to do if
4:36all things were okay. There will be
4:39reasons. Do you know what we do? We make
4:41excuses. They don't exist. We make them.
4:45So
4:47what God wants you to do this year, we
4:49have said the next 90 days will be more
4:52than the last 10 years of your life. We
4:55have released our faith. But if you sit
4:58down folding your hands and you're
4:59watching, it will never happen. If it
5:02happens, you will lose it. You have to
5:05take steps. I believe strongly that this
5:07is the year that when you make moves,
5:10you will when when you make you will see
5:12waves in the name of Jesus.
5:15>> In the name of Jesus.
5:16>> Amen.
5:17>> In the name of Jesus.
5:19>> So he's not just a thief. He's not just
5:21a bad is a thief.
5:23So the enemy has stopped many people
5:26from carrying out great exploit. He's
5:29very dangerous, but he's silent. I mean,

5:36It looks harmless.
5:38It looks like, "Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah,
5:40yeah. I have the plan in the offen. I I
5:42would do it. You know, it's part of my
5:45plan this year. It's part of my plan

5:50with your siblings? Yeah. Yeah. We are
5:52planning to do that. Why don't you get
5:54married this year? Oh, yeah. Yeah. I'm
5:57planning to do that. I'm planning to do
5:59that. Why don't you start a company? Oh,
6:02you know, in Nigeria, you have to know
6:03somebody, but I'm planning to do that.
6:05Somebody said he's going to introd
6:07introduce me to somebody. Why don't you
6:09do this? Why don't you do that?
6:14How come you don't have money despite
6:15your salary? Uh, you know, to keep up is
6:19a lot. So I'm planning to start saving.

6:25I pray you won't plan forever
6:27>> in the name of Jesus.
6:29>> A lot of people have not unlocked the
6:31next level of their lives because of
6:34this subtle
6:37non-invasive.
6:38It looks normal. It looks like there's
6:42an excuse for it. A lot of people have
6:44not been able to enter. You see people
6:46they look spiritual. You see people they
6:49they are prayerful. You see them they
6:52they they are disciplined in terms of
6:54moral discipline. You see them they they
6:57have things other things going for them.
6:59But when it comes to discipline to
7:03actually fractify what God has asked
7:05them to do you see them begin to drag
7:07back. In Hebrews chapter 3:7,
7:12Bible says, "Therefore, as the Holy
7:14Spirit says, today if you hear his
7:18voice,
7:20don't harden your heart as in the day of
7:23rebellion in the wilderness where your
7:26fathers tested me and tried me and saw
7:29my works in 40 days." So the first thing
7:32I want you to anchor is the first
7:36statement. if you hear his voice. Don't
7:39just do things because he's popular.
7:42Don't just do things because you feel
7:43like doing it. Don't just do things
7:45because he is trending. When you hear
7:48his voice, when you know that that's
7:51exactly what God wants you to do, it may
7:53not even be popular. It may not be
7:56trending. It not it may not be something
7:59that people have woken up to, but God
8:02has come to talk to you about it. Many
8:04years ago, God told me, I did something
8:06that God told me to do. And God said to
8:08me, what you have done right now, I've
8:10told people many years before now in
8:13your city to do it, but they refused to
8:15do it.
8:17I remember a man of God,
8:21he he he called me like 5:00 a.m. in the
8:24morning and he began to shed tears on
8:26the on the began to cry on the phone. I
8:30mean, it was dramatic to me. And they
8:33said to me, "Pastor Bodu, if you came
8:36from London,
8:38I would not be surprised. Even if you
8:40came from Lagos, you came from Lori,
8:43we've been in this city, you came to
8:44wake up. Now, whatever he was talking
8:48about, I don't know. I just came to do
8:51what the Lord told me. But I'm telling
8:53you what God has told you right now, he
8:55has told many people before.
8:58So we don't start by just being
9:01energetic and we just want to do
9:03something except the Lord builds the
9:05house. Those who build it, they labor in
9:07vain. You will not labor in vain.

9:10>> So today if you hear his voice, that's
9:12where you start from. Don't harden your

9:18John chapter 9:4,
9:21John chapter 9:4, Jesus was speaking
9:24there. He said, "I must walk the walk of
9:27him that sent me while it is day, for
9:30the night is coming when no one can
9:32walk." In other words, there's a window
9:36for what God is telling you for what God
9:39has told you. There's a window.
9:42There's a window of opportunity. The
9:44night comes when no man can walk.
9:49There is no effort or or or diligence in
9:53the grave.
9:54Therefore, you must wake up. You know, I
9:57have a mentor, very close, very, very
10:00fantastic, wise man, and he said to me,
10:02"Pastor Bod, begin to think about this.
10:05Begin to think about this. Don't say
10:06you're young." In fact, when he was
10:09talking to me, I was looking at him
10:10like, "Do you know my age?" I shouldn't
10:13be planning for that right now. I
10:14shouldn't be thinking about that right
10:16now. But that same year, I understood
10:19why God would tell me to do that.
10:22I'm telling you, God wants to give you a
10:25first advantage. He wants you to take
10:28the first step. He wants to give you a
10:30good head start. And I'm not talking
10:33about you just being pressured. By now,
10:35I ought to be here. By now, I ought to
10:37be. Instead of being pressured, why
10:39don't you listen to God?
10:41Anything he tells you to do, just do it.
10:45Take the step and take it now.
10:49The 90 days are counting.
10:52And let me tell you something is not a
10:54fluke. I believe you with the whole of
10:56my heart. Just watch what we're going to
10:58do in February. You will know that I
11:00believe you with the whole of my heart.
11:03And I'm telling you, there's no theme of
11:06the year in this church that has not
11:08come to pass in my life because I don't
11:10just listen to it. I don't just rejoice
11:13on 31st of of December. I work it out.
11:16You must learn how to work out your own
11:20salvation. I'll do it later is an enemy.
11:25Is an enemy.
11:27Once you're sure of what God wants you
11:29to do,
11:32step into it. When the water is dead,
11:34you jump into the water. You'll jump
11:37into the water. So there are reasons why
11:41people procrastinate
11:43because this is a major thing. Once you
11:48handle it, this prayer service of the
11:51year, I'm telling you, you will not only
11:54run, you will you will saw. You will not
11:55only fly, you will saw. Things will
11:58happen for you. Your head will swim.
12:01>> Somebody here, you will have to evacuate

12:26procrastinators is because we tell
12:28ourselves we're not ready. We're not
12:31ready. I'm not talking about when God
12:34tells you wait or God tells you don't do
12:38it. In fact, let me tell you something
12:40because I may not be able to get there
12:42in the service.
12:44If God does not tell you, ask God.
12:50Can you imagine that I have a car
12:52downstairs? He's just there. He's not
12:54really dirty, but my son comes to me and
12:58says to me, "Daddy, can I wash your
12:59car?" He doesn't do me any harm. I
13:03wasn't planning that he should wash the
13:04car, but I don't mind if he washes the
13:08car. Have you seen Romans 12:2 before?
13:12Don't be conformed to this world, but be
13:15transformed by the renewing of your mind
13:20that you may prove what is good,
13:22acceptable, and perfect will of God. So
13:25forget about the renewing of your minds
13:28that is being said in this scripture.
13:30Look at the fact that there are three
13:32wills of God. Perfect acceptable
13:37okay I don't mind and good.
13:41So if he doesn't even tell you anything
13:43as you are seated here ask him should I
13:46do this? Should I do that? There are
13:49many churches we planted. God didn't say
13:51go and plant it. I was the one that
13:52asked what do you think about this area?
13:54And he said, "Okay, go ahead." And there

14:01said, "Don't do it yet. Don't do it
14:04yet." So
14:07don't just linger. Just don't just lie

14:12up and let Christ give you light. It's
14:14time to make moves so that there will be
14:17waves. This year 2026, in the name of
14:21Jesus, people will gather to celebrate

17:57that created the heavens and the earth.
18:00And you and unbeliever unbelievers are I

18:06what you do is an everlasting covenant.
18:08Why must you be on the spot? Some of you
18:11are bad adverts for the kingdom of God
18:15because when people see you and they
18:16know how far you've been with God,

18:27people who allow this spirit to catch up
18:29with them, they begin to abuse people
18:32like you. Say it's not about having
18:34money. It's not about driving a good
18:36car. What is it about?
18:38Go and check the Bible. Everyone that
18:40met God, their lives improved.
18:44>> Something is wrong somewhere.
18:47Yeah, it's not good for you to feel, oh,
18:49once that is has happened, that is God
18:52because the devil can bless people. But
18:55I have a lot of problem with you when
18:57you're walking with God year in year out
18:59and you remain the same. Something is
19:01wrong somewhere. And this may be the
19:03spirit procrastination
19:06and particularly if you're comfortable
19:09You think, "Oh, yeah, yeah, I'm
19:10comfortable. I should be contented." No,
19:14don't be selfish because where God is
19:16taking you to is not about yourself
19:18alone. It's not about yourself alone.
19:21There are many people you should have
19:23blessed if you are more blessed. Come
19:25on, talk to me. Yes, sir.

20:05I'm talking about.
20:07When God gives you a shoe, it won't size
20:10you. It will be bigger than you.
20:12Therefore, in the name of Jesus, I
20:14prophesy.

20:26>> God will never involve you
20:29because you are perfect.
20:32Let's look at everyone in the B. I can't

21:15BRING THE HIGHEST THOUGHTS. God says,
21:17"My thoughts are higher than your
21:19thoughts."
21:21There's a place God wants you to be. In
21:24the name of Jesus, you are entering that
21:26place this year.
21:29Moses had a speech problem.
21:33He was arguing with God. God said, "I
21:35want you to go back to Pharaoh." With
21:37who? With what? I can't talk very well.
21:39With his dick, God said, "Go."
21:42He had a speech problem. Naomi,
21:46I mean, if you look at her life, you
21:48would have said, "Wow, this girl is
21:50cursed. She's she's from a cursed
21:52country. Her husband died. Her
21:55father-in-law died.
21:57only left with Opa and uh Ruth.
22:02But look look at how she became the
22:05great grandmother of Jesus Christ. How
22:08our story changed by taking steps. Thank

22:21There's nothing that can affect your
22:23esteem like being a captive.
22:30I don't know about you. Some of you
22:32don't know what you have. If you if you
22:35if you grow up in the US to be a black
22:38man,
22:40it will affect your esteem. Haven't you
22:42seen that when black people make money,
22:45you see blings everywhere, everywhere
22:47blings every because they want to
22:49validate I've arrived. A white man
22:52sometime just need to appear in a room.
22:54His skin validates him. That's why you
22:58see them, they don't wear all those
22:59things. Just their appearance, just
23:01their color validates them.
23:05All of that needs to change in America
23:09right now.
23:12An America, a black American needs to be
23:14renewed to like you. They hate Nigerians
23:17because everything they thought was not
23:19possible, Nigerians got to America and
23:21just because we didn't know any
23:23limitation.
23:26I invited a preacher,
23:28true story, from the airport. He began
23:31to cry. I said, "Sir, I was in a car." I
23:34said, "Sir, what's the problem?" He
23:36said, "Look at your money. A black man
23:38on your money. Black people doing
23:40things."
23:42I said, "What's the big deal?" He's
23:44never seen that before [snorts]
23:46in his life. He's never seen that
23:48before. He say this car, you own it. I
23:51said, "Let me tell you something. I've
23:53never taken never taken a loan in my
23:56life." Say he started crying again.

24:02Please just don't laugh.
24:05I want you to know that there are lots
24:08of things that happened to people. To be
24:09a captive
24:12just because they took them as slaves,
24:15it affected their psyche
24:20and somehow is affecting you because you
24:23are learning from them and you are
24:26limited. Something is telling you,
24:28you're not voicing it out, but something
24:29is telling you, you know, things are not
24:32possible in Nigeria. M you know I have
24:35to I'm not talking I'm not saying you
24:38should not follow process but that
24:41process is getting too long.
24:44The old trials of Job were 9 months. The
24:47plague in Egypt were 9 months. What is
24:49going on?
24:51Year after year
24:54we God is faithful. God has always been
24:57faithful. It's time to take a step. Can
25:00somebody shout hallelujah?

25:03One of the reasons why people don't
25:05people procrastinate
25:07is a terrible spiritual perfection.
25:13That spirit I had to be delivered from
25:14it.
25:19Particularly if you're finicky, you want
25:21the eye to be there. You want to be want
25:24it to be dotted. You want the tea to be
25:26crossed. You want everything to be in
25:29place.
25:31SUCH PEOPLE. SO GIFTED BUT YOU ARE ON a
25:34spot because you're just waiting.
25:37You're just waiting. We delay sometimes
25:40because we want perfection.
25:42Sometimes
25:44is fear of judgment. Oh, people say no,
25:46we have to do it this way. Hey, no, we
25:49have to do maybe you judge people
25:51yourself and you're thinking everybody's
25:53a judge.
25:57People that critique people, watch them.
26:00They never they don't have achievements.
26:03They can only talk about in in in art
26:06there are people can draw but they
26:08critique what you draw. They can't draw.
26:15I mean they have their place.
26:17Fear of not being good enough.
26:21Progress should matter above perfection.

27:09till today. They do other things and
27:12they pass those churches.
27:20Today when you hear his voice, harden
27:22not your heart.
27:24Satan is very smart at doing this. You
27:28just tell your wait till everything's
27:30perfect. You know the kind of person I
27:32am. Oh, I want to train them for a year.
27:36I want them to know how to do this, know
27:39how to dress, know how to talk, know I
27:41went to one of I just came to Abuja from
27:45the airport. I branched in one of our
27:47branches.
27:48And when I got there, I saw everything.
27:51It was a Monday. They just finished
27:53Sunday service. I saw everything was
27:55upside down. I was so furious. God said,
27:58"Calm down. Calm down. Calm down. Calm
28:02down. If you want to build branches,
28:06you don't behave like that." So I called
28:09the pastor. I said, "I don't want this
28:10again." So they had the culture. We had
28:12we had the policy. After his service,
28:15you clean the church immediately.
28:18I said, "Have you seen that in Guzap
28:19before?"
28:22Many of us learned on the job. Even me,
28:24I didn't go to any Bible school or any
28:26training. I got trained on the job.
28:29Not wanting to make mistakes has
28:32crippled a lot of people.
28:39Start anyhow. Avoid perfectionism.
28:44Start small but dream big. Don't stay
28:47where you are.
28:50every year improve.
28:53I have a commitment that every single
28:56year, every single time my path is like
28:59a shining light. I shine brighter and
29:00brighter. I talk better. I look better.
29:04The church must look better. The
29:06administration, the system, but start
29:08small. Don't wait till everything is
29:11okay.

29:16there's one man of God fantastic
29:18preacher he's an associate he was an
29:21associate
29:23his senior pastor used to preach his
29:25message can you imagine that so
29:29fantastic that an associate would preach
29:32a message in his branch the senior
29:34pastor will preaching on Sunday
29:37but something happened the man said God
29:40called him he left that church. So I met
29:43him in 2008 and I told him you blessed
29:46humanity you need to start. Ah I said
29:51I want to work for can't you see the way
29:54you guys are branded the way you are
29:57done
29:59I want to go and work make money

30:03I told him that will never work. You
30:06want to make money so that at the end of
30:08the day you will get the glory. You will
30:10tell God I'm the one that made the money
30:11to build the church. I say it's not
30:13God's method. He didn't agree with me
30:15till today.
30:17He has not started this church.
30:20The last time I heard of him, he was in
30:22trouble. You will enter trouble when
30:24you're not in your place.
30:27I am telling you, I am not talking down
30:30on anybody. I'm telling you, you will
30:32enter trouble.
30:35you that pastor listening to me and
30:37you're thinking uh you you you want to
30:39hear on social media a pastor must start
30:42business and you you you you take your
30:45your strength. This thing I'm talking
30:47about you may not agree with me. I've
30:48been a pastor for 27 years.
30:51There are some things that are not for

31:09has not called you to some things.

33:47I entered the place. I said, "Uh, this

33:53"No, we have lodgers."

1:07:45We know that the word salvation here is
1:07:46the word soo means to yank you out of
1:07:49something.
1:07:51But you know the beginning of salvation
1:07:54is for you to receive Jesus as your Lord
1:07:57and personal savior. Let me tell you
1:08:00something. Coming to church is good but
1:08:02it's not all there is.
1:08:05There is nothing like partnering with
1:08:08Jesus with your life.
1:08:11In John 15:5 he said without me you can
1:08:13do nothing. So all this mouth I made to
1:08:17you. Oh don't procrastinate. them do
1:08:19this. There I'm telling you there are
1:08:22people here, there are people listening
1:08:24to me, there is a force making sure that
1:08:26what you do does not work.
1:08:30But when you partner with Jesus,
1:08:32everything will change. And I'm not
1:08:35talking about you coming to church,
1:08:36being a worker. I'm talking about when
1:08:39you have a relation, a real relationship
1:08:42developed with Jesus Christ, something
1:08:44new will start. And how you do that is
1:08:47to receive Jesus as your Lord and your
1:08:51Savior. The word Lord is the word
1:08:53curious. Someone who tells you what to
1:08:55do. Not what you not doing what you want
1:08:58in the church. No, someone who tells you
1:09:00what to do. It starts from now by you
1:09:04giving your life to him totally.
1:09:06You know sometimes you think oh yeah you

1:09:45doing right now is nothing compared to
1:09:47what you could do when you partner with
1:09:49him. And what you need to do, all you
1:09:52need to do is to receive him as Lord and
1:09:55Savior. That's where we start. Don't
1:09:57take it lightly today. When you hear his
1:10:00voice, don't harden your heart.

1:10:09righteousness. With mouth confession is
