0:00Leveling in Aion 2 is really fast and
0:03pretty much very simple. However, you
0:05can still do it on totally wrong way and
0:09make one really big mistake which will
0:11cost you a lot regarding progression of
0:13your character in end game. So, in
0:16today's video, I'll show you how to
0:18level up your character on a proper way
0:20to avoid that mistake. Before we start,

1:29on servers in Korea and Taiwan since
1:31launch of the game. I'm playing this
1:33game for a half year already over there
1:36on servers in Korea and Taiwan. I have
1:38already more than 900 hours of playing
1:41Aion 2 and I have leveled up multiple
1:43characters. Now, I have noticed that
1:46many players, including myself, I have
1:48done that mistake with one of these
1:51characters. I'll show you here, you can
1:53see in front of me many characters level
1:5445. This is just one of my accounts.
1:57Let's move here on Gladiator level 45 to
2:01show you that big mistake. I have done
2:04this mistake on purpose here on
2:06Gladiator character. Why? For a simple
2:08reason. I wanted to test something. What
2:11did I want to test? I'll show you here.
2:13So, leveling in Aion 2 is pretty much
2:15simple process. All you need to do is to
2:18follow main storyline quest. These
2:21quests are marked as yellow quest in the
2:23game. Just simply follow main storyline
2:26quest. It will lead you throughout
2:27beautiful storyline of Aion 2. And also,
2:30when you get stuck, sometimes you'll get
2:33stuck in that main storyline quest, you
2:35have additional quest. Main quests here
2:38are episodes. They are marked here with
2:40yellow color. We also have additional
2:42regional side quests. Let's call them
2:45side quests. If you get stuck at some
2:47point in time in storyline that you
2:49cannot continue with your main storyline
2:51quest, you can always do few of regional
2:54quest, not all of them, but few of them,
2:56and you'll get more experience that you
2:58can continue with main storyline quest.
3:01Sounds simple. It is simple. Sounds
3:04easy. It is easy. Leveling in Aion 2
3:07will not take you too much time. If you
3:09do this, you're going to reach level 45
3:12very fast. However, there is a one big
3:15problem in that scenario. So, on this
3:18character here, I have done exactly what
3:21I have described now. I have only
3:24followed main storyline quest. I have
3:26done some regional quest, side quest,
3:29when it was necessary, and I have
3:31reached level 45. However, that was a
3:34big mistake. Why? I will explain now. As
3:38you can see here in the middle of my
3:39screen, under number 45, is another
3:43number, 962.
3:46That number represents a gear score.
3:49There is also another number here, which
3:50is called combat power. 52,093.
3:54That's another number. Combat power and
3:57gear score are different numbers. You
3:59can check already dedicated video on my
4:00YouTube channel what these numbers
4:02actually represent. For today's video,
4:04we are not going to focus on combat
4:06power. I want to focus on gear score. If
4:08you reach level 45 and you don't have
4:12gear score 1,000, it will be very
4:15problematic. Reason is simple. Actually,
4:18there are two reasons. First reason,
4:20when you reach level 45, you want to
4:21jump immediately into end game. You want
4:24to start to run dungeons. You'll notice
4:27here few types of the dungeons. For
4:29global release of the game, we are going
4:31to have Kraal Cave, Urubu Canyon, Fire
4:33Temple, and Draupnir. Kraal Cave, in end
4:37game mode conquest, you can enter only
4:40if you have gear score 1,000. That is a
4:44minimum gear score which you need to
4:46have to enter Kraal Cave and Draupnir.
4:50That means that even if you reach end
4:52game level 45 with your character, if
4:56you don't have gear score 1,000, you can
4:59still not enter Kraal Cave and Draupnir.
5:03And that is problem. Now, I could
5:05increase my gear score artificially. I
5:08could socket some mana stones. Let's go
5:10there to show you how to do that. So, if
5:12you have a low gear score, you can do
5:14one trick. Basically, you can socket
5:16some mana stones. Let's socket some mana
5:18stones. Let me show you how this works
5:20to artificially increase my gear score.
5:23For this case, for this scenario, for
5:25this video, I'm going to socket some
5:27mana stones randomly. Let's do it.
5:29It doesn't matter what I'm socketing.
5:31What is important here, I'm not trying
5:33to reach some amazing stats here. What
5:35I'm trying to do here is very simple.
5:37I'm just trying to here to socket some
5:39mana stones, so I get higher gear score.
5:43On different parts of the gear, it
5:44doesn't matter the stats. Check this out
5:46what I'm doing right now. I'm just
5:48socketing some mana stones randomly,
5:51almost randomly, that I get higher gear
5:53score. So, you can increase your gear
5:56score artificially on this way and try
5:59to enter dungeons after increasing your
6:01gear score. However, I do not recommend
6:03to you to do this for a simple reason.
6:05I'll show you that in a second. So, for
6:07first thing, I'm not really socketing
6:09something for serious, right? For real,
6:11because these stats are trash. I want to
6:13have better stats. However, I'm still
6:15doing this just to increase my gear
6:18score. Let's do this on this part of the
6:19gear.
6:20Okay. Let me check my gear score now.
6:22Check this out. I have done it. I have
6:25my gear score now about 1,000, and I can
6:28now enter, let me show you here. Let's
6:30go here. Expedition Conquest. Check this
6:33out. I can enter now Kraag Cave and
6:35Draupnir. That was one simple trick here
6:37to show you how to increase your gear
6:39score if you cannot enter Kraag Cave and
6:42Draupnir, these dungeons when you reach
6:44level 45. However, you shouldn't put
6:47yourself in the first place in this
6:49situation. You should have higher gear
6:52score only with your gear, without mana
6:55stones, already when you reach level 45.
6:59How to do that? I'll show you in a
7:00second. Also, another reason why you
7:03should have gear score 1,000 minimum, at
7:06least, when you reach level 45. Well,
7:09you want to finish storyline quest. I
7:11can show you here. This is now part of
7:13the storyline quest called Draupnir.
7:15Talk to Coro at the Abyss Base. I need
7:17to go to Abyss Base. This Abyss portal
7:20should take me to Abyss Base. Let's try
7:22to do this.
7:23Now, I was showing you I can enter now
7:25this portal because I have reached
7:28level, actually, gear score 1,000.
7:31However, I can show you here on this
7:33part of the user interface, when we are
7:34talking about the Abyss, you cannot
7:37enter Abyss open world PvP region if you
7:40don't have gear score minimum 1,000. I
7:44have it now. I can enter and finish this
7:47main storyline quest, but I cannot even
7:49finish main storyline quest even that I
7:52have reached level 45 if I don't have
7:55gear score 1,000. I have increased my
7:58gear score. I can go over there now,
8:00finish my main storyline quest, get the
8:02golden weapon. Yes, that is the reason
8:05why you want to finish main storyline
8:06quest to get your first golden weapon in
8:09the game which you're not going to use
8:11anyway for a long time. You're going to
8:13get better weapons soon, but still you
8:15want to get your first golden weapon.
8:17Now, how to reach gear score 1,000
8:21during leveling process so you don't
8:23have problems when you reach level 45.
8:26Very simple, very easy way. So, what I
8:28have done on purpose for this video and
8:31to make this test right what will happen
8:33during my leveling process. I have level
8:35up my character only throughout main
8:38storyline quest and throughout side
8:41quests. I have totally ignored, totally
8:44ignored hidden dungeons which are marked
8:47here with these question marks.
8:49Currently in the game we have 62 hidden
8:52dungeons. They're basically solo
8:53dungeons which you should do during
8:56leveling. However, it takes a lot of
8:58time. It's consuming lots of time if you
9:01do all of these hidden dungeons.
9:03However, for purpose of this video I
9:05have level up like I said only
9:06throughout main storyline quest and side
9:09quest ignoring these hidden dungeons.
9:11Also, we have strongholds. Again, solo
9:15dungeons, one type of the solo dungeon
9:17which you should do during leveling
9:19including sealed dungeons, not all of
9:21them. I'll explain that in a second.
9:23However, you need to do some of these if
9:26you want to reach level actual gear
9:28score 1,000. So, regarding leveling,
9:31what is important to note? It's a
9:33mistake only to focus entirely on
9:37storyline and side quest. You should do
9:40additionally some, not lots of them,
9:43some sealed dungeons and strongholds
9:46along the way. While you are leveling,
9:48you are going throughout this map.
9:49Basically, bit by bit, step by step, you
9:51are discovering this map. Sometimes,
9:54when you see this question mark mark
9:56here on the map, it could be presenting
9:58either sealed dungeon, either
10:00stronghold. Both of these are marked
10:01with question mark. Enter over there.
10:03Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not
10:05recommending to you that you should
10:07check every single sealed dungeons.
10:10You're going to do that anyway after you
10:12reach level 45. You need to go also on
10:15opposite faction map. There are also
10:17lots of these sealed dungeons and
10:19strongholds. You need to go on the
10:20opposite faction map because these
10:22sealed dungeons and strongholds you need
10:24to do regarding progression of your
10:26character. You're getting some power
10:28boost regarding crystals, devonian
10:30crystals, and much more very useful
10:32materials in these sealed dungeons and
10:35strongholds. So, you're going to need to
10:37finish them anyway when you reach level
10:3945 here on this map, on your own map,
10:42and on enemy faction map. You're going
10:44there throughout drifting system. That's
10:46a story for another video. Regarding
10:48leveling process, you should do some.
10:51I'm not saying each sealed dungeon or
10:54stronghold, but even already during
10:56leveling process, do some sealed
10:58dungeons, around 10, maybe between 10
11:01and 15 sealed dungeons, and few
11:03strongholds so that you get yourself
11:06into position when you reach level 45,
11:09you are going to have your gear score
11:11for sure above 1,000, and then you don't
11:14have that problem that you cannot finish
11:16your main storyline quest, and that you
11:19can also enter dungeons of iron 2
11:22immediately and start to play everything
11:24what you need end game. So, that is the
11:26point of this video to explain you that
11:28many of you will do the same mistake.
11:30You can still, like I said, I can show
11:32you here, artificially increase your
11:34gear score by doing this enhancement of
11:37your gear, and including also, you can
11:39see here, big part of my gear is on
11:41zero, you can enhance your gear also.
11:43That will also bring you some additional
11:45gear score. But in general, do some
11:49stronghold dungeons and hidden dungeons,
11:52not only because of your gear score, not
11:54only, like I said, you can still
11:55artificially increase gear score with
11:57mana stones and enhancement. However,
12:00also because it will mean a lot
12:02regarding power of your character. You
12:04can still enter, for example, now I can
12:06enter these dungeons. However, how
12:08strong is my character right now on this
12:10gear without me finishing at least some
12:13hidden dungeons and strongholds? Not
12:15very strong. My CP, combat power, is
12:19very low. So, I can enter dungeon, but
12:21I'll be too squishy inside, I'm not
12:23going to be able to do anything. So, my
12:25recommendation to avoid this mistake
12:28during leveling process, definitely main
12:31focus on main storyline quests and side
12:34quests in the case when you get stuck.
12:36However, also during leveling,
12:38mandatory, at least do some, I said
12:42some, hidden dungeons and strongholds.
12:45Not all of them, absolutely not all of
12:47them, that would take too much time,
12:48then leveling would take too much long.
12:50However, at least finish some regarding
12:53power of your character and regarding
12:54your gear score. Also, feathers, you can
12:57see here many feathers marked on the
12:58map, you're going to collect them
13:00anyway, naturally. Also, I have
13:01dedicated video on my YouTube channel
13:03only about collecting feathers. They're
13:05very important, they're spreaded all
13:07over the map. When you see feathers on
13:09the map, collect them. I can highly
13:11recommend to you. For purpose of testing
13:13on this character, I didn't do neither.
13:15I have neither collect feathers, I have
13:17neither went into hidden dungeons or
13:19strongholds, but I wanted to do this to
13:21check what will really happen. And it
13:23happened. It was mistake. So, definitely
13:25do some sealed dungeons, do some
13:28strongholds, not all of them, and
13:30collect some feathers. You're going to
13:31need to do that anyway when you reach
13:33level 45. But, if you do this during
13:36leveling, at least to collect some of
13:38them and enter some seal dungeons and
13:40strongholds, it will be much easier for
13:42you when you reach finally level 45.
