0:00I'm Kando . I will explain the only two

0:03ways to reach 1 million views on

0:04YouTube . I hit 2 million views on this

0:08video , but I used a method completely

0:10different from the usual way of posting

0:12videos on YouTube . This is the first

0:16way to create a video that reaches 1

0:17million views on YouTube . And there is

0:20one more way . Either one is perfectly

0:22fine . If you learn how to do even one

0:25of these , you'll gain many views and

0:26subscribers , and even if you don't hit

0:281 million , your chances of getting

0:30hundreds of thousands of views will

0:32increase significantly . Generally ,

0:34people think that when you post a video

0:36on YouTube , it will go viral within one

0:38or two weeks and the view count will

0:40skyrocket from there . Many people

0:42imagine that this is how view counts

0:44grow . That does happen , but it is quite

0:47difficult . The video I mentioned

0:49earlier that hit 2 million views . That

0:52was not a video that went viral in a

0:53single shot . The initial view count

0:56after posting was low , like this . Over

0:59the course of one or two years , it

1:01surpassed 1 million views , and after I

1:03left it alone , it went on to exceed 2

1:05million views . This flow is what we

1:07call long-term views . Creating this

1:10allows both your subscriber count and

1:12view count to grow steadily , leading to

1:14stable channel growth . So , how did I

1:16make it ? It’s a hybrid of browsing

1:18and YouTube search . Browsing . To put it

1:21simply , this refers to YouTube's

1:23recommendation feed . Videos with high

1:25scores are featured in the

1:27recommendation feed , so think of it as

1:29a national championship on YouTube . On

1:31the other hand , think of YouTube search

1:33as a bulletin board ; it’s a place

1:35where high-quality videos for specific

1:37keywords and in specific niches are

1:39displayed at the top to generate views .

1:42And what’s especially important is

1:44this browsing side . If you can master

1:45this browsing traffic , which accounts

1:47for many of YouTube's views , your view

1:49counts will rise significantly to

1:50hundreds of thousands or millions . This

1:52has always been important and will

1:54never change , so we are going to master

1:56this . However , if you use the standard

1:58approach for the recommendations feed ,

2:00your videos will only be browsed by

2:02people who already watch your channel .

2:04So , when you post videos on YouTube

2:06regularly , they only get views from

2:08your regular viewers . If you break it

2:10down between repeat viewers and new

2:11viewers , you might notice that even

2:13though your video is in the

2:14recommendations feed , only repeat

2:15viewers are watching it , and you're

2:17getting the same amount of views . I

2:19think many people have had this

2:20confusing experience . Actually , that is

2:22the general way views are generated on

2:24YouTube , and that is how it works for

2:26most people . If you feel like this

2:29applies to you or sounds familiar , I

2:30really want you to listen closely to

2:32what I’m about to say . Your channel

2:35will truly transform . So , what should

2:37you do ? I want you to forget about your

2:40subscribers for a moment . Instead , set

2:43your target as people who have never

2:45encountered your channel before . That

2:47means changing your target audience .

2:49This doesn't mean you shouldn't value

2:51your subscribers , nor does it mean you

2:53shouldn't value your repeat viewers .

2:55You should aim for videos that target

2:57subscribers only once every four or

2:59five videos . However , if you want to

3:03grow your views to a million or

3:05something close to that , you need to

3:06temporarily forget about your

3:08subscribers for the other three or four

3:10videos that you release more frequently

3:12. What does that mean ? To be specific ,

3:17a lot of people misunderstand what

3:19actually makes views explode on YouTube

3:21. When a video grows on YouTube , the

3:23repeat viewer conversion rate and the

3:25repeat viewer retention rate are the

3:27two most important factors . In other

3:30words , you need the conversion rate

3:31that turns first-time viewers into

3:33repeat viewers , and then the retention

3:35rate that keeps those repeat viewers

3:37coming back . I think you can see that

3:40if you can do both of these things ,

3:42your YouTube channel will grow .

3:44First-time viewers become repeat

3:45viewers who watch your channel daily ,

3:47and those repeat viewers continue to

3:49stay repeat viewers . Then people won't

3:52leave , and as the rate of new viewers

3:53increases , more and more people will

3:55stay on your channel . However , the

3:57challenge for many channels isn't

3:59actually about retaining repeat viewers

4:01, but rather this : the repeat visitor

4:03conversion rate . It means you haven't

4:05even met the people you haven't

4:06encountered yet , which is why few

4:08people stay on your channel . I'm sure

4:10many watching this video haven't

4:12experienced significant growth on their

4:14own channels yet , so for those people ,

4:16the repeat visitor conversion rate

4:18I’m about to discuss is crucial . By

4:21the way , there are those who have

4:22already experienced getting a lot of

4:24views , but for some reason , people

4:26aren't staying . Even though they’ve

4:28accumulated over 100,000 or even a

4:30million views in total , their regular

4:32videos only get a few hundred views .

4:34For these people , it’s about

4:36retaining repeat viewers . In other

4:37words , turning someone who watched once

4:39into a repeat viewer . This also becomes

4:41a challenge . What I mean by " this also "

4:44is that meeting people you haven't

4:46encountered yet — this repeat visitor

4:48conversion rate , or bringing in new

4:50people — is essential for everyone , so

4:52this is a common goal for every channel

4:54and every creator . For that purpose ,

4:56you should put out videos while

4:58temporarily forgetting about your

4:59current subscribers . I think we're okay

5:01up to this point . The next thing I want

5:03you to do is to choose keywords .

5:06Starting with people who haven't

5:08encountered your channel yet — for

5:09example , if you have a target audience

5:12of 10 million people in Japan — you

5:13begin by creating a trigger to get

5:15these 10 million people interested .

5:20What this means is , for example , you

5:22started watching my channel because I

5:24explain things you're curious about

5:26regarding YouTube , like YouTube

5:27thumbnails or how to get started on

5:29YouTube , so that was the trigger that

5:31led you to discover my channel for the

5:33first time . Thank you so much for

5:37always coming by . This is where it gets

5:41important : when you put those common

5:43concerns people have about YouTube into

5:45words , those are your keywords . For

5:48example , how to start YouTube , YouTube

5:50thumbnails , how to grow on YouTube , or

5:52how to increase subscribers . I’ve

5:54filled my content with almost all of

5:56these keywords , which is why the videos

5:58I create end up ranking at the top for

6:00such a wide variety of them . Because

6:03there are as many opportunities for

6:05people who haven't met me yet to find

6:07me as there are keywords , new viewers

6:09keep coming in ; even if 190 don't hit ,

6:11it's fine as long as I can reach people

6:13with the remaining 10 . Well , I’ve

6:15made about 70 videos designed to

6:17incorporate keywords in that way . In

6:19short , are you filling your own niche

6:21with keywords ? I think quite a few

6:23people are probably realizing this for

6:25the first time . The reason your YouTube

6:29channel changes when you notice this is

6:31that a very common mistake on YouTube

6:33is releasing videos without giving any

6:35thought to the keywords you could

6:37actually be including in them . For

6:41example , I’ve actually set " 1 million

6:43views " as a keyword for this video . If

6:46you put that firmly in the title and

6:48release the video , it becomes much

6:49easier for this video to show up when

6:51people search for terms like " YouTube 1

6:54million views " or " YouTube 2 million

6:56views . " By a significant margin . People

6:58tend to think that if you want even a

7:00few new viewers , you have to create

7:02content specifically as an SEO-focused

7:04video , but that’s not the case at all

7:06. Whether it's a video for your

7:09subscribers or for new viewers , it

7:11makes a huge difference whether you

7:12consciously include those keywords in

7:14your titles for your regular videos . If

7:16you don't do this , your channel becomes

7:18structured in a way that makes it

7:20difficult for new viewers to find .

7:21Furthermore , terms that pop up in

7:23YouTube searches are keywords that many

7:25people are looking for , so there is

7:27demand for them in the first place .

7:30Since it's confirmed that these are

7:32keywords many people are interested in ,

7:34failing to include them in your videos

7:36just makes your click-through rate more

7:38likely to drop , and even if your

7:39subscribers like it , the channel will

7:41end up feeling like an inside joke .

7:44Even if you put your heart into your

7:46videos , hoping they go viral and reach

7:48people who truly need them , if you

7:50don't include high-demand keywords ,

7:52it's like Japan during the isolationist

7:54Edo period . Your videos will only

7:56resonate with the people who are

7:57already there , so please open them up

7:59to the world . The way to do this is

8:01very simple : just start by

8:03incorporating keywords that fit well

8:05with your channel ; it's not difficult

8:07at all . Furthermore , as you get better

8:10at using these keywords , you'll be able

8:12to steadily bring in the specific

8:14viewers you want . For example , in my

8:17own channel's videos , I actually

8:19intentionally include slightly

8:21technical keywords like " score , " "

8:23impression , " and " repeater . " The reason

8:25is that these are terms for people who

8:27want to learn about such technical

8:28topics . And for those who already have

8:30a feel for the nuances . I control the

8:33keywords in my videos because I want to

8:35attract people who are highly motivated

8:37to learn — people who aren't complete

8:39YouTube beginners but have already

8:41started learning and want to go further

8:42. Surely you also have a specific

8:46audience you want to reach , right ? Just

8:51as choosing a persona is said to be

8:53crucial in marketing , narrowing down

8:55your target and making your channel

8:57resonate with them is incredibly

8:58important . Doing that is actually

9:02simple : just include a few more

9:04keywords in your videos that your

9:06chosen target audience would be

9:08interested in . And what’s the benefit

9:10of that ? It naturally filters your

9:12audience . It means you end up with

9:14videos that resonate more deeply with

9:15your chosen target . Furthermore , once

9:17you can perform this screening , you

9:19will be able to explosively increase

9:21your video view counts . For instance ,

9:23take this video on my channel that has

9:25reached over 2 million views . " 120

9:27Popular Royalty-Free BGM Tracks Used on

9:29YouTube - Find the Song You're Looking

9:32For . " This appeals more to people who

9:34already have a specific track in mind

9:35and want to know its name , rather than

9:37just people who want to watch a

9:39collection of background music . It

9:40addresses a very important need that

9:42many people are interested in . By

9:44hitting that , keywords like " find the

9:46song you're looking for , " " 120 , " and "

9:49frequently used " help drive engagement .

9:52If you can nail these in your titles

9:54and thumbnails , filling them with

9:56keywords that viewers find interesting ,

9:58your click-through rate will skyrocket ,

10:00leading to big viral hits or long-term

10:02evergreen videos that keep getting

10:04clicks and views . This is exactly what

10:06it means for the way you use keywords

10:08to completely transform your YouTube

10:10channel . There is another way to reach

10:13over a million views on YouTube , and

10:15that is to target overseas viewers as

10:17well . The reason I said " as well " is

10:22because on YouTube , there is a strategy

10:24to target Japanese viewers while also

10:27reaching overseas audiences to rack up

10:29views . You could also aim exclusively

10:33at an overseas audience from the start

10:35and try to grow your numbers that way .

10:37This is also perfectly fine . However ,

10:40if you aim for the English-speaking

10:42world , for example , you end up

10:44competing with over a billion native

10:46English speakers across the globe . The

10:49number of YouTube channels is

10:50proportional to the population . So , if

10:52there are 1 billion people in the

10:54English-speaking world versus 100

10:56million in Japan , there are roughly 10

10:58times as many YouTube channels in those

10:59English-speaking regions . When it comes

11:01down to it , if your English channel —

11:03without a full grasp of the language —

11:05can win against them , then you're all

11:07set . But it just goes to show that the

11:09difficulty level is very high . As

11:10Japanese people , I think we find it

11:12easier to understand what Japanese

11:14viewers are looking for . On the other

11:17hand , can you say for sure what kind of

11:19videos Americans or Europeans are

11:20looking for if you're asked ? Conversely

11:22, if you can answer that , then you

11:24should absolutely go ahead and target

11:26the English-speaking market . But for

11:27those who can't , you're better off

11:29making videos targeted at the Japanese

11:31market , where you have the home-field

11:33advantage . Now , here is the point : you

11:35could just target Japanese people , but

11:37you can also create videos that are

11:39watched by Japanese people while also

11:41drawing in overseas viewers . You can

11:43create videos on YouTube that aim to

11:45capture both audiences simultaneously .

11:47This way , you keep your main target as

11:49the Japanese audience , so you're

11:51already on solid ground . However , if

11:53you only rely on that , no matter how

11:55many views you get , the Japanese

11:56population is capped at 100 million . If

11:59you only target Japanese viewers ,

12:00reaching one million views is difficult

12:03, so it’s more realistic to master

12:05search and browsing features , as I

12:06mentioned earlier , and aim for a

12:08million views over a long period . But

12:10the overseas audience pool is massive ,

12:12so if you can just draw a little bit of

12:14that traffic , you’ll see an

12:16incredible surge in views , almost like

12:17a river starting to flow . Those in

12:19genres that can bridge this gap should

12:21do so , and in fact , more channels are

12:23seeing significant growth in views now

12:25because they’re attracting

12:27international audiences to YouTube more

12:29than before . There is a specific

12:31strategy or trick to doing this , which

12:33is to not include any voice audio in

12:35your videos . Don't include any

12:38narration . To explain what I mean ,

12:40let's try to imagine this . Imagine

12:43you’re watching YouTube , and you see

12:45a thumbnail and title in Japanese , but

12:47when you open the video , you hear

12:49narration in Hindi . You’d think , " I

12:52thought this was a Japanese video , " and

12:54you probably wouldn't watch it , right ?

12:56At the very least , I think it would be

12:58tough to watch until the end , even with

13:00subtitles . It’s the same for someone

13:04in an English-speaking country ; even if

13:06the thumbnail and title are in English ,

13:08if the video itself has Japanese audio ,

13:10the same thing will happen . This might

13:15sound obvious , but many people don't

13:17actually realize it . For example , cat

13:20videos can easily pull in traffic from

13:22overseas viewers . They are very easy

13:24for international audiences to enjoy .

13:26When someone uses Japanese text

13:28overlays or narration for these , our

13:30advice is to first stop displaying the

13:32Japanese text . And also stop including

13:35narration . Instead , use background

13:37music and , if possible , include the

13:40natural sounds from the video , almost

13:42like ASMR . As for the text overlays ,

13:44you should use subtitles and make them

13:46multilingual . By doing this , you can

13:48successfully pull in that flow of

13:50traffic from international viewers . All

13:51that's left is to create a situation

13:53where more people from abroad will

13:54watch . Even if it doesn't resonate with

13:57overseas viewers , if it hits with the

13:59Japanese audience , you'll still get

14:01solid views , and vice-versa . Even if it

14:03doesn't grow much here , there are 190

14:05countries around the world . Well , even

14:07if you break those 190 countries down

14:09into English-speaking or

14:10Indian-speaking regions , there are so

14:12many that you'll find that " it didn't

14:14work in this country , but for some

14:16reason , it's getting huge views from

14:18over there . " That significantly

14:19increases the chances of hitting a

14:21million views . This isn't just a

14:23theoretical argument ; we’ve actually

14:25had videos reach over a million views

14:27using this exact method . We have many

14:29such examples coming in from our

14:30students . Many people think they should

14:33just aim for an international audience

14:34in a vague way , but it’s about

14:36increasing the resolution of that idea

14:38and figuring out a concrete path to get

14:40there . And once you draw that path ,

14:42hitting a million views becomes visible

14:44. These are the tricks to making your

14:46view counts explode . Now , I’m going

14:48to share the most important thing in

14:49today's video . I think those of you who

14:53have listened this far might already

14:55have a vague sense of this , but the

14:56secret to growing on YouTube is that

14:58there are many different pieces that

15:00resonate with viewers , and you have to

15:02assemble them like a puzzle . If

15:06there’s a specific " trick " or keyword

15:08we talked about today , you need to

15:10assemble it into your thumbnail , title ,

15:12and video content like puzzle pieces .

15:16If there’s another trick , like

15:18targeting a specific audience , you

15:19integrate that into your thumbnail and

15:21your video’s content as part of the

15:23puzzle . The worst thing you can do is

15:26continue your YouTube journey without

15:28knowing what actually resonates with

15:29viewers . If you keep posting videos

15:33without any basis for how a channel

15:35grows , you’ll just end up with miss

15:37after miss , leading to a long period

15:39where your channel doesn't grow . I have

15:42seen so many people like that . With

15:45YouTube , there aren't just one or two

15:48tips , but two or three hundred ; for

15:50example , deciding between two

15:51thumbnails or choosing which video

15:53content works better . People who manage

15:56their channels by building on these

15:58small improvements versus those who

15:59don't will see a massive difference

16:01after a year or two . Today , I

16:03specifically covered thumbnails and

16:05titles , and also touched on keywords

16:07for video content . I’m sure you’ve

16:08already had quite a few " aha ! " moments

16:10just from this . These are the pieces

16:12that will completely transform your

16:13YouTube channel . I really want you to

16:15start collecting these right away . And

16:17about the method I discussed today for

16:19creating videos with a million views .

16:21I'll show you actual examples , specific

16:23concepts , how to produce the videos ,

16:25and how to shape your channel to reach

16:27that goal . I’ve decided to hold a

16:30study session where I'll teach you this

16:32in a hands-on format . There will be a

16:35bit of an after-talk , but I’ll be

16:37diving deeper into the many things I

16:39usually talk about , as I believe you've

16:41already mastered the absolute basics of

16:43YouTube . However , I think it's good to

16:49have a space for those who want to

16:50learn about specific goals , like " I

16:52want to hit a million views " or " I want

16:55to reach 10,000 subscribers . " YouTube

17:02doesn't always allow us to show exact

17:05monthly ad revenue or personal case

17:07studies , so in this study session , I'll

17:09be sharing concrete examples , genres ,

17:11and actual numbers , so please be sure

17:14to join . Also , since over 15,000 people

17:19have already registered for my LINE ,

17:21I've heard from many who want to join

17:23the study session but are wondering how

17:25to proceed since they've already

17:27registered . So , if you send the keyword

17:30" 1 million " that is currently shown on

17:33the screen to my LINE , you will receive

17:35an invitation to the study session .

17:39Whether you are already registered on

17:41LINE or are planning to register ,

17:43please click the title of this video to

17:45find the link , register there , and stay

17:48tuned . The study session is a great

17:52opportunity for me to see the faces of

17:54the people who watch my channel , so I

17:56am very excited and look forward to

17:58sharing , so please come and meet me .

18:01With that said , let's keep working hard

18:02on running our YouTube channels .
