0:56hearts out to the same destination nice

0:59I think that was pretty fun I think

1:03seeing like where we were we both saw

1:05the same ice cream truck so it was like

1:07pretty

1:08exciting at least I thought sorry I need

1:10a tissue for my nose I'm chronically

1:26snotty it's just part of my life okay

2:22can so I got a cheap plastic garbage can

2:27that I completely want to paint over

2:30and make look really

2:34cute yeah actually it wasn't that cheap

2:37for some reason garbage cans are

2:39expensive this was

2:42$11 I still think that's expensive for a

2:45garbage can um but yeah I got this one I

2:48have some sanding paper cuz I feel like

2:49I need to sand it first so the paint

2:52grips onto it better that's likely the

2:54chip I think or something I don't know

2:56so we're going to sand it we're GNA try

2:58to come up with an idea

3:00on what to make it look

3:02like then hopefully it's cute you know

3:06when I painted that uh purple fridge

3:10it's kind of the inso I want to make

3:12boring things look fun like the garbage

3:14can so I have this one that I'm for sure

3:17painting I also have two other ones that

3:19were $15

3:28each I have these

3:31two but they're a bit harder to paint

3:34because

3:36of this stuff down

3:40here so we'll see if we want to paint

3:43these today or not something things I

3:46think I can take off with a screwdriver

3:48the other things I feel like might be

3:50hard to take off so I don't know if

3:52we'll do those today but we're for sure

3:54painting one of

3:57them and I also have

4:11have okay I prepped a canvas last night

4:15it's yellow but we could finish my frog

4:20painting for a

4:23bathroom I just painted the background

4:25cuz that's kind of boring so I got it

4:27sketched in the background painting

4:31and before I left Victoria I hung out

4:33with my friend Gabby and I started this

4:36painting but didn't finish it it has

4:38funky

4:40flowers so we can um also finish this

4:47painting for the

4:51bathrooms yeah so we're painting the

4:53garbage cans we're paintting the

4:55canvases and then one of my bathrooms

4:58will be maybe finished

5:07yeah that's the plan

5:25place yes uh maybe I do have to do

5:41Marketplace so we've been able to

5:44furnish a lot of the downstairs with um

5:48used furniture secondhand stuff and it's

5:51been pretty

5:53fun decorating because yeah we um didn't

5:58have many

6:00things at the old apartment so we had to

6:02buy a

6:06lot oh you watched the VOD you've seen

6:09it twice I

6:11haven't all right so a couple people

6:13haven't seen so we'll have to do another

6:15tour but yeah a lot of it has been

6:18thrifted so far which has been

6:22good you're going to hire me to decorate

6:25my house I would love that if you let me

6:27paint things weird colors

6:34yeah um cuz Yeah in our You Haul we have

6:38three

6:39bicycles a purple mini fridge an Ikea CU

6:44box

6:46thing um and that's I think um the bulk

6:50of it we had like no

6:53furniture oh we have a table from the

6:57garbage that we kept

7:00but do you guys want a little tour right

7:05now we do a quick

7:17tour sure okay let's go um where should

7:21I

7:23start just going to close this

7:38here we're starting in the dining

7:41room which we thrifted this table we got

7:45it from a place called restore which is

7:48like all used furniture that they

7:51restore to make it usable again and

7:54stuff

7:56so I think the table was like $300

8:00and it came with six chairs massive wood

8:04table it's really cute it was made from

8:07an old Ukrainian man he was like 70

8:10years old he only used hand tools no

8:13power tools to make it and he used 36

8:16screws in

8:18total um that's info we got about it at

8:22race store but yeah we really like the

8:24chairs we think they look really cute it

8:27weighs a ton and we had to bring it all

8:29the way down to the basement cuz the

8:31previous owners let us keep it here cuz

8:34we bought it when we were visiting and

8:36oh my God it's so

8:41heavy yeah so it's very cute and then we

8:45have two more chairs downstairs it also

8:47has I think they're called leaves to

8:50make it even bigger when we have guest

8:52over um Trevor and I did a

8:54puzzle I had to show you guys my puzzle

8:57before I took it apart

9:00it was really big I forget how many

9:03pieces but we finished

9:06it and here it

9:09is yeah puzzle completed I need to put

9:12that

9:13away um and then we have a little deck

9:17balcony thing so we could have like a

9:19barbecue out there maybe grow some

9:21plants probably not cuz we're never here

9:23so yeah there's a balcony out these

9:26doors and then um here's the living room

9:30we got a

9:31fireplace that currently doesn't

9:34work and it's kind of messy cuz I just

9:37went throwing things but we also

9:39thrifted

9:41our grandpa Rocker chairs we got this

9:45from RE store as well this one was a bit

9:49more expensive this one was

9:50$100 for the rocker in the foot

9:54stool that's cute and then this one was

9:57only $35

10:00we bought them at the same restore so

10:03it's pretty good to get two chairs for

10:09130 but yeah they're cute oh no we're

10:12getting

10:51Christmas so he sits here for

10:54now and we got this rug from a

10:57liquidation store so like

11:01things um we got this entire rug for

11:06$39 heck

11:11yeah the price ts are on just cuz I like

11:13to tell people prices of things so yeah

11:16we got that this table is like a world

11:23map like a globe thing which we're

11:26Travelers so we liked it I got bought

11:29this off of a Facebook Marketplace for

11:34$100 it was originally like $250 but

11:37it's

11:39cute we like it all right next is our

11:45day bed which is our

11:47couch um we got this used off of

11:50Facebook I think it was

11:53$300 which from Ikea just the bed

11:56frame was 500 and and then you had to

11:59buy two mattresses and ended up being in

12:02total around

12:04700 after you buy the mattresses in the

12:06frame so we got this all for 300 so it

12:11has two

12:12mattresses

12:14stacked and we can pull it out and it

12:17becomes a really big

12:18bed and it's really comfy I've been

12:21sleeping

12:23here but we like

12:27it we're trying to like build up our

12:30pillows and going to have some cute

12:32decorative pillows here we got some

12:34really big ones for the back so far but

12:39it'll look cute

12:40eventually of course Alex you can sleep

12:42on the couch this is our guest bedroom

12:45when people come

12:47over it's really cozy and eventually

12:50when the U-Haul comes we'll have a TV

12:53and it'll go

12:55here and then I got this cute blanket it

12:59was made in

13:01Portugal it has pastel rainbows and

13:03flowers on

13:05it it's cute

13:07okay um and then we have my new kitchen

13:12which is a huge upgrade compared to the

13:15old one so I'm going to do a bunch of

13:17cooking streams I'm going to have like

13:18the tripod here and then film this

13:22workstation and then yeah it'll be so

13:26much better for doing cooking streams at

13:28home so I have some plan some that are

13:32going to be coming

14:29for our car that we still need to

14:34buy the garages are important in really

14:37cold places so we have a

14:42garage we have a

14:44basement which it's kind of dark until

14:47you turn on the light but it's a pretty

14:50massive basement it's not furnished or

14:53finished but really good

14:57storage

15:09owners had this here and it just fits

15:11really good along this wall so we bought

16:02liquidation store for

16:05$99 and it's

16:09huge good Stu we're still in the middle

16:14so there's not really blinds in here but

16:17yeah this bedroom is bigger than our old

16:20apartment so it's kind of wild we have

16:24no bedroom furniture even on the U-Haul

16:27so this room is going to look like this

16:29for a

16:36while and then we got laundry

16:38hamper we got a walk-in

16:45closet we got an on

16:50Suite with a

16:52shower we haven't used this shower

16:56yet hopefully it's nice

24:39in Uber the guy was really nice we're

24:40talking about hockey as you do and then

24:44all of a sudden his Transmission in the

24:47car broke on the highway in a really

24:49awkward

24:50area we're like oh he's like oh this has

24:54never happened to me before he's like it

24:56says to not drive the car on the like

24:57the screen so he like turned it off he's

25:00like okay uh I know some mechanic

25:03friends let me call people but yeah you

25:06know your four-way

25:08blinkers one of his wasn't working so

25:10everyone just thought he had his left

25:12turn single on cuz we're in a left turn

25:14lane on the highway so everyone was like

25:17honking at him but yeah we didn't know

25:20that his four-way blinkers weren't

25:21working anyway um we were there for a

25:23really long

25:25time and we couldn't get the car fixed

25:28cuz his battery was in the trunk and he

25:30needed a screwdriver to get the battery

25:32out weird car but a lot of people did

25:35pull over and try to help

25:37us and I was like I wonder how expensive

25:41my Uber ride's going to be cuz it's been

25:43like an

25:44hour um

25:46anyway Trevor is like Sarah should I

25:48just start asking cars if they'll take

25:50us to where we're going or at least if

25:54they're going that way I'm like I guess

25:56cuz we can't call another taxi cuz we're

25:58on like a weird Highway thing um so he's

32:51know maybe I should get some old towels

32:55and like sand over the towels

33:01but yeah we're very happy we moved and

33:04I'm closer to family now not to my

33:07parents but to my other family so it's

34:47trips we don't have a car yet we're

34:50working on it the market isn't so great

34:53right now to buy a

34:59cars I don't know about not used cars

1:24:50like was I 14 I was like the youngest

1:24:54working I think I was 14 um so I was

1:24:58like young and they'd make me like close

1:25:01the deli by myself and I had a terrible

1:25:06time and my boss was really

1:25:09mean cuz like it was impossible to close

1:25:12with one person there were supposed to

1:25:13be two people but she would never staff

1:25:15it right so i' always had to stay late

1:25:17and she would like refuse to pay me but

1:25:20like you have to do all the things or

1:25:22like things will go bad and yeah she was

1:25:25rude so I think I like filed a proper

1:25:28complaint and they they're like you can

1:25:30move

1:25:31departments um so I ended up switching

1:25:34the cashier which was amazing cuz the

1:25:36cashier boss was really really nice and

1:25:39there are some other people from my high

1:25:40school that were also

1:25:43cashiers so that was a big

1:25:51upgrade

1:28:46I switched jobs a

1:28:47lot when I was there I even worked at

1:28:50the sney Opera House

1:28:54uh for a bit but I didn't like that too

1:28:57much cuz I don't like dealing with

1:29:03customers okay I just need to let that

1:29:05dry and then we're going to go over with

1:29:07one more coat of

1:29:10blue and then we'll pull off the tape

1:29:12and see what it looks like but yeah

1:29:22college twice for two different careers

1:29:25R out of high school I went to college

1:29:27for early childhood education which is

1:29:31only a year of college um so I'm a

1:29:34certified Early Childhood

1:29:38educator um so that was my first career

1:29:41I did that for four years I

1:29:44think I got my first job in my hometown

1:29:47out of

1:29:48daycare um and then I moved to Australia

1:29:51and I ended up working at an Australian

1:29:54daycare so I worked at a couple

1:29:56daycares and then you can't really move

1:30:00up in that job so you're just kind of

1:30:02stuck you don't get paid very much for

1:30:04like all the work you do so I was like I

1:30:07think I need to change careers so I

1:30:09ended up going back to school

1:30:12for medical medical device

1:30:16reprocessing to get into like a hospital

1:30:19job because they pay a bit more and I

1:30:22didn't want to deal with people so that

1:30:24job mainly deals with medical

1:30:27instruments used for surgery and stuff

1:30:29so I'm like okay I can do that so I went

1:30:32to school for a year and a half to

1:30:36University and I finished that and then

1:30:38I did a 3-month practicum and then I got

1:30:41hired there and then I switched careers

1:30:44again to be a twitch streamer no College

1:30:46needed for

1:30:49that but yeah I went to University and I

1:30:53don't think I did maybe I did one

1:30:58year from my degree and then I

1:31:01quit

1:31:04oops but I can get back into

1:31:07[Music]

1:31:10that it just was a very stressful job I

1:31:12don't like it too

1:31:16much I feel like they kind of lied when

1:31:20I applied

1:31:22for school cuz they didn't really

1:31:24describe the job 100% to the truth they

1:31:28marketed it very different than what the

1:31:30reality

1:31:37is sorry my nose is still

1:31:42running cuz like okay my job is like

1:31:45marketed

1:31:46as you put medical sets together so like

1:31:49there's like a case

1:31:52for

1:31:54like a specific type of surgery and you

1:31:57have to like follow your recipe and make

1:31:59sure it has every single instrument

1:32:01needed in the case and you just like

1:32:04make sure that they're clean make sure

1:32:05it's the right instrument and like count

1:32:07them and put it all together I'm like oh

1:32:09that's kind of fun it's like doing a

1:32:10puzzle and stuff and you have to know

1:32:12your

1:32:13instruments and that seemed nice but

1:32:16yeah in reality you never do that job

1:32:18basically it's like one of the jobs out

1:32:20of like 500

1:32:22and there's a lot of way worse jobs like

1:32:25you're in decontam which you get all the

1:32:27dirty instruments used from surgery and

1:32:30you just are like a dishwasher but for

1:32:32medical

1:32:34instruments and yeah you spend a lot of

1:32:36time just washing and scrubbing gross

1:32:40things some jobs you're just washing

1:32:43like

1:32:44basins so yeah there's that and then

1:32:47other jobs you like put cases together

1:32:50you're just running around grabbing

1:32:51everything they'll need for

1:32:53tomorrow some jobs you're just bringing

1:32:55things all around the

1:32:57hospital yeah I don't know it was very

1:33:00different than like what it was marketed

1:33:01as you also have jobs where you have

1:33:03like a

1:33:04phone and the operating rooms are

1:33:07calling you they're like hey we need

1:33:09this an O7 and then you find

1:33:12it through all these walls and shelves

1:33:15and you send it up that job is very

1:33:17stressful I couldn't handle it cuz they

1:33:19need that instrument like now it's like

1:33:22life or death sometimes and that

1:33:24stressed me out too much I'm like mm-

1:33:26nope this isn't chill

1:33:29puzzles so yeah I hated that

1:33:33job yeah there's just like so many

1:33:35things we had to do besides like that

1:33:38one little job that I talked about

1:33:43mostly yeah it's a lot of work it's like

1:33:45crazy amount of things that are going

1:33:47on that no like most people don't know

1:33:50about cuz is like if you put a set

1:33:52together wrong or if you're missing a

1:33:54certain

1:33:55instrument bad

1:34:07stressful there's definitely some jobs I

1:34:09liked

1:34:11more than

1:34:15others so the Sandpaper situation I

1:34:18think I have a too big of a grit

1:34:21sandpaper and now I can see scratches in

1:34:25paint so I feel like I shouldn't have

1:34:27sand it I think I messed up with that if

1:34:38honest so I kind of regret sanding

1:37:52in the U-Haul it's a bit of a

2:01:04back so we can have a bit more of a

2:01:13affordable Canada's expensive like we

2:01:15couldn't really afford rent in Victoria
