18:22coach goes at six you won't like that i

18:25don't mind if it means we'll have as

18:27much time as possible at the river we'd

18:29have even longer if we went to one

18:31that's closer to school but there aren't

18:34any near here and we want an adventure

18:37anyway it's only 10 pounds to go i

18:40suppose that's not too much for a full

18:42day out and food's included

18:49now listen again

18:52have you seen the details about the

19:28that is the end of part two

19:35now look at part three

19:40for each question

19:41write the correct answer in the gap

19:45write one or two words

19:48or a number or a date

19:50or a time

19:52look at questions 14 to 19 now

19:57you have 20 seconds

20:20you will hear a student giving a talk

20:22about a trip to see some seabirds called

20:25puffins

20:28last weekend i went with my family to

20:30some islands off the coast to see some

20:33sea birds called puffins

20:35these birds are really cute their beaks

20:39are orange gray and yellow and their

20:42bodies are black and white

20:44the people around there call them sea

20:46parrots it's because of their colors but

20:50puffins actually make me think of clowns

20:54people sometimes laugh at puffins when

20:56they see the way they walk

20:58on land they look a bit silly but in the

21:01water they swim very fast

21:04you can find some great videos online

21:06that show how they use their wings when

21:09they're flying in the air

21:11we went out on a boat to the islands to

21:14see the puffins

21:15their breeding seasons from may to july

21:19that's when they have their babies

21:21in the winter they go out to sea and

21:24they aren't seen again until the

21:26following spring

21:28puffins make nests for their babies in

21:30the ground just like rabbits do

21:33it means you can't see the babies but

21:36when they do come out of the nest the

21:39adult puffins have to make sure the

21:40babies aren't caught by bigger seabirds

21:43or rats

21:46puffing numbers have been falling on the

21:48islands due to fishing and climate

21:51change which is a real shame

21:54last year there were nearly 80 000 on

21:57the islands

21:58this was the same number as the previous

22:01year but lower than other years when

22:03around a hundred thousand arrived

22:07you can't get too close to the puffins

22:10as it can scare them but volunteers are

22:13always needed to count them i love to

22:16help with that

22:17also

22:18if you're interested in photography you

22:21might get close enough to them to

22:23photograph them more easily

22:25if you want to go and see the puffins

25:56called jennifer marsden who is a

25:58comedian

25:59someone who tells jokes in front of an

26:02audience

26:04jennifer you're only 16 but have already

26:07taken part in several comedy shows

26:10when did you first realize you were good

26:12at telling jokes uh i've always tried to

26:15make people laugh

26:17at home though i was never sure if

26:19everyone was laughing to keep me happy

26:21or if my jokes were actually funny this

26:24changed when i went to a big name comedy

26:26show and chatted with one of the stars

26:29i tried one of my jokes on him and he

26:31laughed which gave me enough confidence

26:33to try performing in a school show

26:35how do you write your funniest jokes

26:39well what seems to get the most laughs

26:42is when i take day-to-day things that

26:43have happened to me and change them a

26:45bit so they're funnier

26:47any technique suggested by someone else

26:49like seeing the news on tv and creating

26:51jokes based on that

26:53has never worked well for me

26:55what do your classmates at school think

26:57about you being a comedian a lot of them

27:00are creative but because nobody else

27:02does comedy they're pleased to have

27:03someone they know who's got those skills

27:05it's good for the school and my

27:07classmates like telling their friends

27:08about me

27:10they all say they expected me to do well

27:12which i find surprising

27:14what do you find most difficult when

27:16you're on stage

27:18the hardest thing for any comedian is

27:21when an audience doesn't find you funny

27:24i'm sure that'll happen to me one day

27:26once i couldn't remember which joke came

27:29next so there was a long embarrassing

27:31silence

27:32someone said hurry up

27:34really loudly which made me think of a

27:36funny reply that made everyone laugh

27:39who has helped you develop as a comedian

27:41most my teachers have been fantastic in

27:44encouraging me

27:45as they're not comedians though it's

27:47hard for them to help me improve

27:50seeing how the audience reacts tells me

27:52directly whether my material's working

27:53or not which has pushed me to do better

27:56more than anything else

27:57i pick up ideas watching my favorite

27:59comedians in films too

28:01do you want a career in comedy in the

28:03future

28:04when i was younger i used to dream of

28:07being a doctor i liked the idea of

28:09helping people

28:11obviously comedy helps people

28:13it's good for us to laugh but i think it

28:15would stop being fun if it was my job i

28:18enjoy the shows too much to give them up

28:19totally but i'd rather do something else
