0:00Okay, be honest. How much of your

0:01opinions are yours? How much thinking

0:04part that you do daily is

0:06really coming from your own thoughts?

0:12Yes, exactly. That is the problem. We

0:14don't have anything of our own anymore.

0:17Ask anyone their favorite color. Their

0:18favorite color is either going to be

0:20black, white, or cherry red. Why cherry

0:23red? Because cherry red was in trend.

0:27Ask them to pick a place to live in.

0:29They'll either choose New York, London,

0:32or Paris. Why? Because they were

0:34trending.

0:39Talk to people about anything and

0:41they'll talk to you about how communism

0:43is a good thing because

0:45uh it gives justice to all, rights to

0:49all, happiness to all, and resources to

0:52all.

0:53Why? Because some reels told you so. Ask

0:57people to pick a politician they think

0:59is

1:00really good.

1:02They are going to pick Zohran Mamdani.

1:03Why? Because he was trending.

1:06Anything which makes it to social media

1:08trend is what people's preference is. We

1:11don't have our own preferences,

1:13favorites, in books, food, color, songs,

1:17movies, anything. We don't even have the

1:19attention span

1:22so that we can watch a movie without

1:24scrolling reels on side.

1:27People now have attention span of a

1:29goldfish.

1:30What they are actually doing is

1:33constantly exposing themselves to so

1:35much information that their brain is not

1:37even made to process in such a short

1:39time that they do give.

1:44Have you ever talked to someone and they

1:46just went on their phone in middle of

1:48the conversation?

1:51And they are just nodding to you and

1:53doing hm.

1:53>> [clears throat]

1:54>> Hm.

1:55And they are on reels.

2:00This is

2:02This is the new default setting of

2:04people. You're talking to them, they go

2:06on reels. They are in a resting period

2:08because they just finished some

2:10assignment. What are they doing in the

2:12rest period? Reels. What are they doing

2:14when they are going to sleep? Reels.

2:16What are they going to do after some

2:19hectic thing like uh set they completed

2:23in gym? Reels.

2:25Social media and so much information is

2:28becoming our and I'm not even talking

2:29about the brain rot yet.

2:32Social media is not really all about

2:33information. It's really what you

2:35consume, but there is brain rot on

2:37social media. So, a lot of people do

2:39consume brain rot.

2:42Your brain is not made for so much

2:45information in such a short period of

2:47time. And when you don't even give your

2:49brain a little bit of time to process

2:51all that information that just came in.

2:55So, how are you going to form your own

2:56thoughts?

2:59Okay.

3:01Give me a thought that really originated

3:03from your own head.

3:09Thoughts are Thoughts originate in

3:11boredom and people are not letting

3:14themselves be bored enough to form a

3:17thought.

3:18Conversation is going boring, pick up

3:21reels.

3:23The movie is very long and your goldfish

3:26attention span is not holding up, pick

3:28up reels.

3:29People are constantly exposed to social

3:32media and people have very easy access

3:34to social media and

3:36because we lost everything that we had

3:38on hand and we became isolated and we

3:41are constantly living on social media,

3:43it's really hard for us to form our own

3:47thoughts, even our own opinions.

3:50Our thoughts and opinions are borrowed

3:51from the people we think are smarter

3:53than us. So, we just take it as it is.

3:56We don't try to

3:59even

4:00think through it once again. If somebody

4:03gave you a conclusion, you just pick it

4:05up and you paste it somewhere else.

4:07Uh this is coming from someone who is in

4:10politics. A lot of people's

4:13answer to everything is just

4:15one word. A lot of people's political

4:18opinions are made just in just from

4:20reels that you can see in comment

4:22section. It is a very weird when you

4:25talk to someone, they are quoting

4:27Instagram headlines of the reels that

4:30you also have watched.

4:34How much of

4:36how much of the things that are coming

4:39from us are really what originated here?

4:44How much of the things that we like,

4:47listen to,

4:49admire, or our our preferences are

4:53really ours? This big 2026, people have

4:57people have preferences, taste, and

5:00admirations all borrowed from the people

5:03they think that are smarter than them.

5:06The problem is all of this not having

5:09your own thoughts, opinions, or

5:11literally anything of your own is the

5:14problem of boredom. We are not letting

5:16ourselves be bored enough. We are bored

5:18from our conversations, reels,

5:21bored from studying for 2 hours, reels.

5:24Let yourself be bored to form your own

5:26thoughts. Thoughts come to you when you

5:28have some empty space for them. If

5:30you're constantly feeding your brain so

5:32much information that you don't even

5:34have the time, your brain doesn't even

5:37have the time to process all of it, and

5:39you stack more on it,

5:41what is going to happen? You are not

5:44going to remember anything. Tell me how

5:46many reels have you watched today?

5:48You won't remember because you watched

5:51so many of them that only one of two are

5:54going to be highlighted in your head.

5:55Other than them, all of the other ones

5:57are just gone.

6:00So, instead of just being glued to the

6:02phone, we should let ourselves be bored.

6:06Embrace the boredom if you want to form

6:08something of your own. Embrace the

6:10boredom because it is the cheapest

6:13thing, okay? You have

6:16to be bored. What do you need to do?

6:19Nothing. You just have to sit there and

6:21stare at a wall. And if you can do that,

6:24just go for a walk.

6:25And if you can do that, just look at the

6:27sky.

6:28Be bored. It's free.

6:31Even though it's free, people's brain is

6:34in just stagnation because they are not

6:36letting themselves be. They need this

6:39constant stimulation in their brain,

6:41otherwise they are going to be restless.

6:45Snatch somebody's phone away for

6:472 hours and then

6:49look at the results. They are going to

6:51hate you for it.

6:55We cannot keep a device away from us

6:59which is not literally biologically

7:01connected to us and is not an essential

7:04need for us to live. We are not able to

7:07put that thing down.

7:11Our personalities, our preferences,

7:13taste,

7:15admirations,

7:16nothing of it is our own anymore because

7:19all of the things we borrowed from the

7:21people that we think are better than us.

7:24We just take it as it is and

7:27our work is done because thinking

7:29through it takes time, takes energy, and

7:32it takes a little bit of boredom because

7:36while you're feeding yourself constant

7:38information, you cannot

7:40process the one that you already have

7:42your head.

7:43And people are just not ready to accept

7:45and do that. So, what do they do? The

7:48easiest route. Stack and stack and stack

7:50and just brain rot themselves to

7:53eternity.

7:56This needs to stop. If this cycle keeps

7:59on repeating, all the humans are going

8:01to be turned into some brain-dead

8:04zombies.
