0:00Imagine waking up each morning with a
0:02clear mind, no stress, no confusion
0:04about what you need to do. You feel

0:09learn. This is Kim Hijin, a student from
0:12CLM Girls High School in Korea, who's
0:14become a legend for how efficiently she
0:16studies, and more importantly, how she
0:19keeps her mind healthy, optimistic, and
0:22always growing. Today, we're breaking
0:24down exactly how she does it. from her
0:27brainwaking morning habits to her unique
0:29study systems to the little things she
0:32does that protect her mental health.

Wake Up Your Brain
1:15Let's start with mornings. Most people
1:17hit snooze. They bury their head under
1:20the covers. And when they finally get
1:22up, their brain's still half asleep. Not
1:24heun.
1:26The moment she wakes up, she does
1:28something small but powerful. She opens
1:30her notes from the night before or her
1:32planner and does a quick 5-minute
1:34review. It's not hardcore memorization.
1:38It's more like telling her brain, "Hey,
1:40remember what we were learning? Let's
1:42keep it alive." Then she heads to
1:44breakfast. But instead of mindlessly
1:46scrolling her phone, she reads the
1:48newspaper and talks about it with her
1:50family. Even simple discussions about
1:53world events train her brain to think
1:55critically before she's even stepped out
1:57the door. This is what sets her apart.
2:01She doesn't wait until school to start
2:02learning. Her brain's already warmed up
2:05by the time she's in the classroom.
The Way She Studies
2:09Most students do passive studying. They
2:12read a textbook, maybe underline a few
2:14things, and hope it sticks. Hijin, she
2:18does the opposite. She's active. She
2:21grabs her friends or even just talks to
2:23herself and explains the concept out
2:26loud, almost like she's teaching a
2:28little class. This is basically the
2:31Feainman technique where you simplify
2:33complicated ideas into your own words.
2:36If you can teach it, you truly
2:38understand it. And her favorite trick,
2:41sticky notes everywhere. She writes key
2:44formulas, definitions, or reminders on
2:46sticky notes and sticks them all over
2:49her house. Bathroom mirror, fridge,
2:52lamp, even the edge of her computer
2:54screen. Whenever she's brushing her
2:56teeth or getting a snack, her brain
2:58catches those facts again. Once she's
3:00mastered a note, she throws it out. It's
3:03like a mini celebration.
Planner, Timers & Efficiency
3:07A lot of us try to study for hours
3:09straight, but Kim Hijin knows the brain
3:11can't focus that long. She uses an
3:14analog timer, sometimes just an old
3:16kitchen timer. She sets it for a short
3:19burst, like 25 or 50 minutes, focuses
3:22100% on her work, then takes a small
3:25break. It's the same idea as the
3:27Pomodoro technique, but for her, it's
3:30more about rhythm than strict time.
3:32Check out my Pomodoro playlist here.
3:35This protects her from burnout and
3:37actually lets her study more across the
3:39whole day.
Mindset, Health & Peace
3:42But here's what I love most about
3:44Kimahyajin. She's not just a study
3:46robot. She takes care of her mind and
3:49body like it's part of the studying
3:50process. She often goes on short hikes.
3:53Nothing extreme, just enough to breathe
3:55fresh air, stretch her legs, and give
3:57her brain a little reset. She also
4:00meditates. Just 5 minutes sitting
4:02quietly, eyes closed, slowing down her
4:05breathing. It empties out stress so it
4:07doesn't build up. When it comes to food,
4:09she avoids heavy, refined carbs that
4:11make you sleepy. Instead, she eats
4:14balanced meals, veggies, proteins,
4:17healthy snacks. That keeps her alert.
4:20And at night, she writes in a gratitude
4:21journal. Three things she's thankful for
4:24that day. It's a small habit, but it
4:26fills her with calm and optimism even
4:29when exams are close. So, here's the
4:32question. How can you bring Kim Hijun's
How To Start
4:35habits into your life? Try this for just
4:377 days. Wake up and do a quick review,
4:41even 5 minutes. Use a timer to break up
4:43your study blocks. Write key notes on
4:46sticky notes around your room. And at
4:48night, write down three things you're
4:50grateful for. Watch how your mind starts
4:53to feel sharper. how studying feels less
4:56like a burden and more like a natural
4:58rhythm. If you found this helpful, hit

5:04starting today. I'd love to hear how it
5:07goes for you. Thanks for watching, and
5:10remember, your brain is like a garden.
5:12Keep watering it, and it'll keep
5:14growing.
