0:08A hanging indent formats your references
0:11so only the first line of text aligns with the left margin.
0:14The following lines of each reference are indented.
0:18The reference page on the left is incorrect,
0:21whereas the page on the right uses the hanging indent
0:25and is how your finished page should look in APA format.
0:30To add a hanging indent,
0:32navigate to your references page.
0:36Highlight the full text,
0:38right click your mouse, and select 'Paragraph.'
0:43On the 'Indendation,' 'Special' menu,
0:46click the drop-down to select 'Hanging.'
0:50This will automatically fill in 0.5 inches.
0:53Click 'OK.'
0:56This is the proper formatting for a reference page in APA.
