0:02office. Um,
0:03>> yes. Who am I speaking with?
0:06>> My name's Morgan.
0:07>> Um, is Renee Privet in there?
0:11>> I'm happy to transfer you to that
0:12department.
0:13>> Okay. Thank you.
0:42clerk's office. May I help you?
0:44>> Um, yes. Am I speaking with Renee?
0:47>> Nope. Do you need to?
0:49>> Um, yes, ma'am, if you don't mind.
0:51>> Okay, hold on, please.
0:53>> Thank you.
0:56room.
0:57>> Uhhuh.
1:09>> This is Renee. Can I help you?
1:10>> Um, yes, ma'am. Um, I was wanting to
1:12call and get an update on my transcript
1:15uh request.
1:18This is William.
1:21>> Okay. I I spoke to Rebecca last week and
1:25told her I do not have a court order
1:28giving me permission to release the
1:29recording to the transcriptionist. So,
1:33at this point, I can't do anything until
1:35I get a court order.
1:36>> Why? Why? Why is a court order needed?
1:40>> Because that's the requirements
1:44>> even though it's being statute.
1:47>> Yes.
1:48>> Um what what statute would would govern
1:50that, please? it. I can't give legal
1:53advice. You would have to look that up.
1:55>> That's I'm not ask I'm not asking for
1:57legal advice.
1:59>> No, I can't. We're the clerk's office is
2:02out of it. We're just the paper keepers
2:05until I get a court order. I can't
2:08release anything.
2:10So um so I I had I have a email um well
2:15part of an email that we was or that I
2:17was involved in um where you had u
2:22admitted that the judge had refused to
2:24sign the um transfer. Is there a written
2:28order for that?
2:30>> No, because the judge will not sign the
2:34order.
2:35>> So there's not an order saying the he's
2:38not signing it. There's just not a
2:39signed order.
2:42>> Do you know why he didn't sign it?
2:45>> I don't. We can't. We We are not allowed
2:49to get in the middle of anything. We
2:51take what the judge gives us. We send
2:54stuff to the judge that they need to
2:55have, but we can't question them on why
2:59they won't do something.
3:01>> Okay. So, um, is your is the ministeral
3:04duty that you have is to transmit the
3:07court through the transcript, right? If
3:09we're privately, um, and it was even in
3:12the email, if we're privately hiring a
3:14transcriptionist, why do we have to wait
3:17for it to be uh, granted?
3:21>> The juvenile recordings are
3:23confidential.
3:25I cannot release anything without a
3:27court order.
3:29But we're
3:30>> it doesn't matter if it's privately
3:32retained or not. I have to have a court
3:35order.
3:36Just like I had a public defender this
3:38morning want something out of a file
3:40that's upstairs, a public defender. And
3:43she had to go to the judge and get me a
3:44court order before I could give her
3:46anything. It's not
3:49>> the files are locked down. Nobody can
3:51get anything out of them
3:53>> without a court order.
3:54>> Even though we're parties.
3:56>> Correct.
3:59Not a recording. The recordings no one
4:01can have. DSS can't even come in and get
4:03the recording
4:04>> without a court order.
4:06>> Well, so I'm not after the recording per
4:08se. I'm I'm after the the recording to
4:11get transferred to the transcriptionist
4:14>> cuz I've already got I've already got a
4:16contract.
4:18>> I I don't know what else to tell you. I
4:21can't release anything without a court
4:23order. I don't know how else to put it.
4:26So, so how
4:27>> it's not that I'm trying to be
4:28difficult. I cannot release it without a
4:30court order.
4:31>> How how come we was able to uh obtain
4:34the first transcript?
4:36>> Because that was an error that they was
4:38sent to them. I thought that was the
4:40court of appeals telling me who was
4:42appointed
4:44because court of appeals when I
4:47submitted your last appeal that appeal I
4:50immediately got that email back saying
4:53this is a transcriptionist and so I sent
4:55it thinking that that
