0:27So last night
0:30we had one of the most anticipated
0:33debuts we have seen for a while in the
0:36UFC in Saladine Parnas.
0:39Saladine Parnas was a guy that had won
0:44so many titles outside of the UFC. He
0:49had performed on the biggest stages
0:52outside of the UFC. And the idea was at
0:57some point he would come here and he
1:00would hopefully work his way into a
1:02position where he can challenge the best
1:04guys in the world.
1:07You know a guy is highly regarded when
1:10his first fight is a main event. He main
1:14events against Dan Hooker in Paris,
1:17France.
1:18This guy is a star there. They love him
1:21there. They set him up in a position
1:24where he could feel important
1:27yesterday. He felt important.
1:30The reaction to this kid all week.
1:33Outstanding. When he hit the curtain
1:36walking towards the octagon,
1:38outstanding. I want to read you guys
1:41really fast Pornos's bio, right? Because
1:45I think that in itself is so impressive.
1:50I was listening to Michael Bisping talk
1:52about this man as he was walking to the
1:55octagon and speaking of his title
2:00fights, the level of competition he had
2:02fought, the the people that he had
2:04beaten and
2:08hold here it is Pornos,
2:11MMA fighter and what he would bring to
2:15the division. Okay, KSW. He was a
2:19champion in three or in two different
2:22divisions. He was a two division
2:24champion in KSW. Guys, that Polish
2:28organization
2:30is as good as any regional organization
2:33in the world. Now, I'm not talking
2:34regional like uh one of the smaller ones
2:38just around the United States. This is a
2:40global organization that people go to
2:42fight to and try to become champion. He
2:46fought 12 title fights before ever
2:50stepping foot inside the UFC octagon. I
2:54don't know that we have seen a person
2:56have that level of highlevel experience
2:59going into the octagon since maybe
3:05Alistister maybe Overim. I'm not talking
3:09Pereira with the kickboxing
3:11individually. I'm not talking Gable
3:14Stefson with the wrestling individually.
3:16I'm talking about a person that had
3:18competed in that individual sport and
3:20MMA at that level for that long. This
3:24kid had that 12 title fights going into
3:27that fight last night. The fight starts
3:30obviously the kid is fighting with a
3:32level of confidence, right, that you
3:35hope to see in guys making their debut
3:38debut, but you don't see that often.
3:41He's fighting with this confidence that
3:43he feels like he is just too much for
3:44Dan Hooker. Dude lands a nasty body
3:48kick. Hooker shows that he's hurt, then
3:50tries to compose himself, but it's too
3:54late when you got a killer like that in
3:55front of you. Parnas goes after him,
3:58hits him with the nastiest left hook. I
4:02mean, it was like chopping and he just
4:05crumbled and he just beat him up on the
4:07ground to get the finish, you know.
4:10We talk about debuts and impressing in
4:14those debuts.
4:16I don't think we've seen a more
4:18impressive one. You know, when a guy
4:21comes over from another organization,
4:24it's hard. We have seen people from even
4:27Bellator really struggle. We saw Pitbull
4:30struggle and and had dominated there. We
4:33saw Aaron Pico struggle. Now he has
4:36seemed to have corrected the ship in his
4:37second UFC appearance and looked
4:39amazing. Michael Chandler did good but
4:42then struggled after. We have seen
4:43people struggle at times making the
4:46jump. I struggled. I thought my first
4:48UFC fight was subpar because I was
4:52nervous. It was a different platform. It
4:54was a bigger platform and you could feel
4:56that whenever you get to the UFC.
5:01He didn't struggle at all. And generally
5:03when a guy comes in, they want to call
5:07their shot and talk about who they want
5:09to fight and what they expect next. And
5:11a lot of times we laugh at him, but I
5:13don't think people are going to be
5:14laughing at Pornos. He said that his
5:16dream fight is against Max Holloway. And
5:18honestly, I'm here for it. If they
5:21decide that Pornos and Max Holloway
5:23should fight, I'm here for it. I really
5:28am because I believe that when you do
5:30that
5:32in your debut, you get something big.
5:34Now, if Max says no to it, Max is so
5:39right in that thought, guys. Even like
5:42Kayla Harrison, her UFC debut was good,
5:44but
5:46I don't think it was that. It wasn't
5:48that. It wasn't that that brutal,
5:51dominating, nasty uh
5:55type of performance.
5:57She submitted Holly Holm, but man, it
6:00was that was nasty. It just felt like
6:03something bigger than we have seen for a
6:06little bit. He said Max is his dream
6:08fight. He also said he believes he's the
6:10best fighter in the world. And when you
6:11watch that last night, you have to look
6:14at matchups. How long do we have Justin
6:17Gachi for now? That's the question. How
6:20much longer is Justin Gatei in this
6:22game? How much longer does Justin Gai
6:24want to cut the weight down to 155? How
6:27much longer does he want to do these
6:30things? Because if he doesn't want to do
6:31these things, Parnas fighting the other
6:34guys at 155, they're generally strikers.
6:38Those are great fights. There's one real
6:40grappler in that top of that division
6:43right now
6:45to try and ground this man, and that's
6:48Patty Pimpblelet, who's really good at
6:50it. But I will tell you this. I have
6:52heard stories of this kid his training.
6:56I heard that this dude is running 15
6:59400s and trying to keep them all under a
7:02minute. He's running 15 400s, guys.
7:1012 of those is three miles. He's running
7:13almost four miles of sprints and trying
7:17to keep those sprints under a minute.
7:21Now, I don't know that he's successful
7:23every time in keeping it under a minute,
7:25but his intent when he steps on the line
7:27to run a 400 meter dash, a lap around
7:30the track is to keep it under a minute.
7:33And he does it 15 times. That's insane
7:38when it comes to preparing yourself for
7:40a fight. And that's why he's so
7:41explosive. the burst.
7:43It's a burst and a long distance element
7:47to it. It's crazy the amount of work
7:49that this man is is putting in. And I'm
7:51hearing this from people that are around
7:54him that are close to him that have seen
7:55him do these things.
7:58I know we get excited whenever you see
8:01something like that, but this is not me
8:03putting on. This is things that I've
8:05generally heard about Saladine Parnas
8:09on the Dan Hooker.
8:12When people generally hear that they're
8:15a gatekeeper or put in that position,
8:19they're mad. They're upset and they
8:21fight that with all that they can. Dan
8:23Hooker seemed to be embracing that and
8:25said, "Uh,
8:28there have been a couple losses and then
8:29moving your way down the rankings. I'm
8:31more than happy to play the role that
8:33I'm in right now. And the role that I'm
8:35in right now is gatekeeping the top 10
8:38of the UFC's lightweight division.
8:42Me personally, I think there's too much
8:46acceptance, too much comfort in that. We
8:49have guys that are willing to fight
8:51anybody anytime. Kevin Holland comes to
8:52mind. Kevin Holland never says or never
8:55will accept that he's a gatekeeper.
8:59He will always fight to win and he will
9:02always fight anybody. But just because
9:04you fight anybody doesn't mean you
9:05almost have to accept that if they beat
9:07you, they're just going to go forward
9:08and you just continue to tumble. Your
9:10intention should always be to stop the
9:12tumble, to stop the losses, to stop the
9:16suffering. It's suffering.
9:20Losing hurts in any way. What's up,
9:23guys? Football season's back and it's
9:25time to level up your approach during
9:27the college football season and the NFL
9:29because Poly Market is here. Poly Market
9:32is a legal prediction market available
9:35in all 50 states. Hey, and unlike
9:38traditional sports books on Poly Market
9:41you can trade all things football. And
9:44you know what's good? Poly Market gives
9:46you the ability to cash out instantly.
9:49If the momentum swings, you can sell in
9:52real time. you're the one that's in
9:54control. So when the market dips, like
9:57if a team starts slow and it drops to
9:5940%. That's not a loss. That's actually
10:02when you buy in. Essentially, you can
10:04buy cheap and ride the momentum all the
10:07way back up. So Poly Market is so sure
10:10that you'll never go back to the old way
10:12that they're issuing a challenge to you
10:14guys. They're going to give you $50 when
10:17you deposit just $10. So sign up with my
10:20promo code DCMA.
10:22Go to polyarket.us,
10:24use the promo code DCMA to get a $50
10:28bonus when you deposit just $10. You
10:31cannot accept that. When you hear a
10:32fighter do that, um, it just isn't good
10:37because you do that before the fight and
10:39then the fight goes in the way that it
10:40did.
10:42That's not good. That's really, really
10:45not good for Dan Hooker. So, I'm very
10:48interested to see what happens with him
10:50uh going forward. But Saladine Parnas is
10:53the real deal, guys. Get excited because
10:56we have a brand new contender at 155.
10:58And I believe that his ascent is going
11:00to be much faster
11:03than most people even believe. Until
11:05next time, like, subscribe, and tell
11:07your friends this has got a YouTube
11:08channel. Peace.
