Introduction: Common vitamin D deficiency symptoms
0:00today I'm going to give you 11 really
0:02bizarre wild vitamin D deficiency
0:05symptoms now of course most people know
0:07the usual vitamin D symptoms lower back
0:09pain depression high blood pressure
0:12inflammation autoimmune diseases things
0:14like that but I will guarantee you do
0:16not know these now I'm going to break
0:17this up in two sections the first part
0:19of this video is for the person who
0:22wants just Bare Bones information they
0:25don't want anything too tactical and
0:26then the second part of the video I'll
0:28go into those people who want the
0:30science behind it the mechanism Behind
0:32these symptoms and like the underlying
0:34reason why they develop in the first
0:36place you have about 25,000 genes in
0:38your body and 10% of those genes are
0:41greatly influenced by vitamin D not to
0:44mention when you get your blood tests
0:46with vitamin D they're only showing you
0:47the inactive vitamin D they're not
0:49showing you what's happening in the
0:50cells and so the blood levels of vitamin
0:52D do not correlate very well with the
0:55vitamin D that are in your cells an
0:57active suppression of anything positive
1:00about vitamin D in the news in medical
1:03research because it directly competes
1:06with the top selling drugs I got up and
1:07presented this data to you know these
1:10were the top vitamin D researchers in
1:12the world all assembled there it was
1:15vicious the attacks of how Vitamin D
1:17doesn't do this how could you say this I
1:20said I'm just presenting the data that
1:22we have assembled you're walking on guys
1:25careers that have spent their whole
1:26career doing this stuff they never
1:28conceived that this could be true so
11 surprising vitamin D deficiency signs
1:31let's dive in okay number one head
1:33sweating now typically you'll see this
1:36in infants but you can also see it in
1:38teenagers adults but if you notice like
1:40a child or yourself sweating just more
1:43in the head suspect a vitamin D
1:46deficiency number two sweating more at
1:49night even if your temperature is cool
1:51now this can also show up with your
1:53pillow being moist in the morning so
1:56excess sweating especially at night is a
1:58vitamin D deficiency number three
2:00mood swings a person going from a
2:04condition or emotion of Happiness down
2:06to feeling irritable down to angry and
2:09then they get sad because vitamin D
2:12controls the regulation of your mood and
2:15it heavily influences emotions and this
2:18has a lot to do with how Vitamin D
2:20affects your brain but if you notice
2:21that yourself or loved one is just like
2:23roller coastering with these emotions
2:25could be a vitamin D deficiency number
2:27four procrastination being backlog
2:30and you just don't feel productive I
2:32mean it's pretty wild that someone's
2:34motivation is connected to a vitamin D
2:36deficiency all right number five panic
2:39attacks now in other videos I talk about
2:40panic attacks being a vitamin B1
2:43deficiency and it can be but you also
2:45have a vitamin D connection to this as
2:47well a panic attack is a very severe
2:51fear or a very high anxiety condition
2:54and it definitely relates to certain
2:56hormones and neurotransmitters like
2:58serotonin but for those people out there
3:00that have panic attacks resort to drugs
3:02they might want to consider trying high
3:04doses of vitamin D3 I've done videos on
3:07certain breathing techniques that a
3:08person can do as well like breathing
3:10through your nose and I will put that
3:11link down below but don't forget vitamin
3:14D number six achiness in your pelvis in
3:18your lower back in your hips and your
3:20upper legs vitamin D is intimately
3:23connected with the formation of bone and
3:26One symptom of that is literally pain
3:30but not sharp pain this achiness that's
3:34the inside of the bone because that's
3:36where you're losing the bone on the
3:37inside it's sad because it's so easy to
3:40fix but you would have to take higher
3:41amounts not lower amounts I'm talking
3:43like 10,000 20,000 at least if you have
3:46any concern about 20,000 I use of
3:49vitamin D3 being toxic I just want to
3:51let you know that being out in the sun
3:53in the summer for 40 minutes will give
3:55you 20,000 iuse of vitamin D3 is that
3:57toxic no 20 100,000 IUS of vitamin D3
4:02taken over months that's when you get
4:05into the Toxic effect not 20,000 IUS so
4:07then we have number seven which is loss
4:09of muscle strength vitamin D has a
4:11direct effect on calcium itself and
4:13without vitamin D calcium is going to be
4:16deficient in the muscle calcium allows
4:18the muscle to contract but not only
4:20contraction it's also involved in the
4:22production of muscle itself so without
4:25vitamin D and calcium you cannot create
4:27muscles and we also get this weakness
4:29with within muscles that control Power
4:31and strength primarily your legs and
4:34your shoulders and on top of that
4:37vitamin D also controls and regulates
4:40pain number eight stiffness and the
4:42stiffness usually occurs in the knees
4:45and in the fingers and of course this
4:47definitely relates to inflammation but
4:49it also has to do with What vitamin D
4:51does to your cartilage and your collagen
4:55so you might find that when you stretch
4:57backwards and create tension on the
5:00cartilage in your breast bone you might
5:02feel stiffness in that area as well and
5:05that can also affect breathing things
5:07like that number nine chronic fatigue
5:11this has a lot to do with those little
5:13energy factories in your cell they're
5:15called mitochondria and how important
5:17vitamin D is to support that little
5:21Factory and if you don't have enough
5:22vitamin D you just can't make energy
5:25number 10 your ability to think quickly
5:29is to diminished basically you have too
5:31many applications open on your desktop
5:33computer but related to your brain and
5:34number 11 it's just very difficult to be
5:36satisfied when you eat a meal it could
5:39be that the food is just nutritionally
5:41empty and you keep eating to get these
5:44nutrients it can also be certain things
5:46in the food that cause you to be
5:48addicted but if you're low in vitamin D
5:51you're just not going to feel satisfied
5:53you will definitely have a tendency to
5:54overeat so now that you know the general
Vitamin D3 deficiency explained
5:56information let me just kind of give you
5:58another layer of of this data on each
6:01point which is actually very interesting
6:03okay number one was head sweating
6:04there's something different about the
6:06head versus the rest of the body as far
6:08as certain sweat glands we have a lot
6:10more sweat glands in our head than other
6:13parts of our body it affects the
6:14autonomic nervous system causing this
6:16excess sweating in the head now this
6:18also relates to number two when we
6:20talked about night sweats but there's
6:21something else going on with night
6:23sweats vitamin D suppresses an
6:25overactive immune system and just think
6:27about the immune system of all the
6:29things that happen one would be like a
6:30fever right that's a normal response and
6:33so when you're deficient in vitamin D
6:36and you have a slightly overreactive
6:38immune system this whole mechanism of
6:40sweating is controlled by this little
6:41tiny computer chip in your brain called
6:44the hypothalamus and when you have a
6:45vitamin D deficiency in this
6:47overreactive immune system it's going to
6:48trigger excess sweating to compensate
6:51for this immune imbalance situation and
6:54one aspect of this is a fever your body
6:56is generating more heat and with that
6:58comes more sweat to compensate State all
7:00coming from a vitamin D deficiency all
7:02right number three is a mood swing okay
7:03now when we kind of come up and down on
7:05this emotional roller coaster you have
7:06your adrenals involved now the adrenal
7:08gland starting with the hypothalamus
7:10pituitary and adrenal is on this HPA
7:14axis this circuit thing going on but
7:16when you're vitamin D deficient cortisol
7:19is going to go up now I don't know if
7:21this is just because it's trying to help
7:23you get rid of inflammation I don't know
7:24about that but with a vitamin deficiency
7:26you're going to have a disregulation of
7:28this cortisol pattern
7:30and if you have too much cortisol it's
7:31going to put you more in a different
7:34emotional state let's go to number four
7:36which is low motivation to do in the
7:39brain there is this little center it's a
7:42tiny little nerve bundle it's quite
7:45fascinating it's called the nucleus
7:47accumbent and this is the heart of a lot
7:52of things including addictions it kind
7:54of runs on dopamine and yes dopamine is
7:56involved in addictions but it's also a
7:59neuro transmitter that's involved with
8:01motivation reward doing things getting
8:04things done that type of thing all right
8:07number five panic attacks a high level
8:10anxiety a very strong fear panic attacks
8:15from a physical standpoint in the body
8:17are related to that structure I talked
8:19about in the brain called the amydala
8:22that's more like an adrenal in the brain
8:24it's kind of like it regulates fear that
8:26needs vitamin D we have several things
8:28going on we have serotonin which is kind
8:31of like a a happy hormone and so vitamin
8:34D is is necessary to balance these two
8:36things all right number six achiness in
8:38the pelvis area in the lower back and
8:41the upper thigh muscle now this relates
8:43to a condition called
8:45osteomalacia now what is osteomalacia
8:48that's a severe vitamin D deficiency
8:49that's affecting the calcium in the bone
8:51now think about this vitamin D
8:53deficiency is the number one cause of
8:55osteomalacia this is basically where the
8:57bones become very soft I I think this is
9:00going on in a massive scale in society
9:02right now but they have a subclinical
9:04version of osteomalacia I think I had it
9:07in high school because I was eating
9:09poorly and I I know I had a vitamin D
9:12deficiency and I I started getting
9:13fractures but the bones are soft certain
9:16proteins that are just not developing as
9:18well you have to realize that vitamin D
9:20you know controls calcium absorption by
9:2220 times in the small intestine and in
9:25other videos I talk about the two
9:26systems of vitamin D you have the one
9:29controls calcium and the other system
9:31that is non-calcium yes you can check
9:33the vitamin D in the blood if you tested
9:35that chances are that's going to be
9:37pretty low it's probably going to be 30
9:39or less in which case you just need to
How much vitamin D should I take?
9:41start taking vitamin D3 and I would take
9:43a lot of it I would take at least
9:4610,000 to 20,000 I use per day until you
9:50can get your levels a little bit higher
9:51for this bone problem you could probably
9:54get away with taking it sporadically
9:56like once a week if you want to do that
9:58but I wouldn't do that if you had the
9:59problem so that's number six let's go to
10:01number seven loss of muscle strength why
10:04because vitamin D controls calcium and
10:07calcium controls the contraction of the
10:11muscle if you're missing calcium because
10:13you don't have enough vitamin D and you
10:15can't contract what's going to happen
10:18with that muscle pain that's kind of all
10:20over it's hard to pinpoint it's just
10:22achy all right number eight is stiffness
10:24mainly in the knees and the finger
10:26joints because the cartilage needs
10:28vitamin D and it's not getting vitamin D
10:31so it's going to be more inflamed in the
10:34weightbearing joints on your knees could
10:36be the hips as well but also if you use
10:38the computer a lot or your fingers
10:40you're going to notice in the fingers
10:42this can definitely lead to
10:43osteoarthritis this is a lack of vitamin
10:45D vitamin D is essential for maintaining
10:49this cartilage and maintaining the
10:51ligaments and the tendons and think
10:54about this your ribs attached to the
10:56sternum with cartilage so you're going
10:57to notice it right through here too and
11:00so this is why stretching is so
11:02important to really keep this rib cage
11:06opened up because it'll tend to be
11:08contracted inflamed and pull you forward
11:10down here so you end up having bad
11:12posture and kind of a hunchback and not
11:15just take vitamin D but they need to do
11:16a lot of stretching to reverse that all
11:19right number nine chronic fatigue
11:21syndrome there's two different reasons
11:23for chronic fatigue syndrome one is that
11:25your vitamin D controls the number of
11:28mitochondri that are produced the
11:30mitochondria or the energy Factory so
11:32you're going to have less mitochondria
11:33it's less energy so without vitamin D
11:35you're going to have dysfunctional
11:36mitochondria but the second reason for
11:38chronic fatigue syndrome is the immune
11:42connection if you are low in vitamin D
11:45certain viruses will come out of
11:47remission and be active these viruses
11:50especially the Epstein bar virus will
11:52start to come out of remission and be
11:54active one of the symptoms that they
11:56produce is fatigue so it's not like you
11:59have this full-blown infection now you
12:01get certain aspects of that infection
12:04like chronic fatigue nearly 100% of the
12:06people that have this reactivation of
12:09this Epstein bar virus or chronic
12:11fatigue syndrome it came after a severe
12:13loss loss of a loved one or a loss of a
12:16job or something like that but also it
12:18could be a vitamin D deficiency which by
12:21the way if you have vitamin D deficiency
12:22and you go through a loss boy that
12:24stress is going to hit you a lot harder
12:25you just need a lot of vitamin D I would
12:27take 50,000 I use a vitamin D3 every
12:30single day to pull yourself out of
12:33chronic fatigue syndrome all right
12:34number 10 mental sluggishness or
12:37slowness with decisions thinking focus
12:39is distracted vitamin D has a profound
12:42effect in the front part of the brain
12:44which kind of our relay system and even
12:47communication between one neuron and the
12:50next needs vitamin D3 and then we get to
12:53the last one feeling satisfied so letin
12:56tells the brain that you're full if you
12:58don't have enough D it's not going to
13:00work that well vitamin D helps make
13:02leptin work better then we also have
13:04insulin if you don't have enough vitamin
13:06D insulin doesn't work as well and
13:09you're going to be hungry insulin allows
13:11all the nutrition to go into the cells
13:13so if you have insulin resistance
13:15because you're low in vitamin D you're
13:17not going to be satisfied so just by
13:18taking vitamin D insulin becomes more
13:20sensitive and you start getting more
13:22fuel to the cells you get more nutrients
13:24to the cells I hope this helped you to
13:26understand these bizarre unusual
13:28symptoms of vitamin D deficiency start
Take vitamin D3 with the cofactors
13:30taking vitamin D make sure you also take
13:32magnesium vitamin K2 zinc and B6 as the
13:37co-actors to prevent any issues and just
13:39to help it work better thanks for
13:41watching and I will see you in the next
13:42video
