0:03This is what this creator was able to

0:04manage and I needed to figure out

0:06exactly how he did it. So I hit up

0:08Dantic and in this episode he tells us

0:10exactly how he became one of the fastest

0:12growing channels in entertainment.

0:14>> Like if you look at that thumbnail, the

0:16way I even just like built that room was

0:18for the thumbnail.

0:18>> He breaks down the details creators

0:20should focus on to grow a loyal

0:22audience. a metric that no one ever

0:24talks about when like talking about

0:25click-through rate is like what was the

0:26viewers experience with the last video

0:28that you did

0:28>> and how he transforms dead videos into

0:30viral outliers.

0:31>> But I did a POV and the next day it I

0:34swear down it went from like a nine to a

0:361 out of 10. That's how crazy the change

0:39was.

The airplane-seats idea

1:15popular video. I tried gaming in every

1:17airplane seat hit 33 million views.

1:20>> Yeah, I know it's crazy.

1:21>> How did you come up with that idea? What

1:23was your ideation process?

1:24>> Shall I tell you my viral for uh formula

1:27to get a one out of 10 like that? Cuz I

1:29literally this specific idea, I

1:31basically researched what does well on

1:34YouTube, like what does insanely well.

1:37And the one thing I uh notice that does

1:39well on pretty much everybody's channel,

1:41no matter what niche you're in is

1:43playing videos. Casey Neistat did it,

1:45Ryan Tran did it, Mr. Beast did it. Like

1:47they're all like 80 mil, 50 mil, 100 mil

1:51view like uh videos that they've done on

1:54planes. I was like, "Okay, plane seats

1:55is like one that I could maybe do for my

1:57channel." So, initially I thought,

1:59"Okay, how can I combine like this viral

2:01idea with my channel's niche, which is

2:04like gaming and tech?" And I thought to

2:06myself, like I was literally on a plane

2:08at the time when thinking of this idea

2:09and I was thinking, well, I've got like

2:11a handheld gaming device in my hand. How

2:14about instead of like going over plane

2:16seats, I talk about stuff that like

2:18gamers would normally care about. So

2:20like the tech in the seat, like what

2:22sort of like USB charging options are

2:24there? What's the Wi-Fi like? And then

2:26just and then other things obviously

2:27like the seat quality and stuff. It's a

2:28bit similar to Ryan Trey's video, but

2:31it's like for gamers. So like that's

2:32like my kind of spin on it. Basically,

2:34my formula is just take like a viral

2:36video. I look at basically any video

2:38that has done over like 10 to 20 30

2:41million views. I try and combine it with

2:43my channel's niche and then I'll try and

2:45put like a a purple cow thumbnail on

2:48there that no one has ever seen before.

2:49And if the audience doesn't know what a

2:50purple cow is, do you want me to explain

2:52what the purple

Purple Cow thumbnails

2:53>> I don't know what it is?

2:54>> Oh, please. It's a really

2:55>> Oh, you don't know what the purple cow

2:56scenario is? Oh, this is brilliant. I

2:59can I can uh this this this is uh

3:01perfect. So, a purple cow, if you were

3:04like driving down uh a road, let's say

3:06in this scenario, you're driving down a

3:08road and you see a bunch of cows, right?

3:09You wouldn't think anything of it. Like,

3:11you just you just drive down the road.

3:13There's cows are okay, whatever. If you

3:15saw a purple cow, what the hell is what

3:19you double take it and you you'd

3:20probably think about it for the entire

3:22drive, the week, the month after, like

3:24you just wouldn't stop thinking about

3:25it. It's because you've never seen it

3:27before. And I kind of I try and take

3:32that like philosophy and put it into my

3:34thumbnails. Try and show the audience

3:36something they've never seen before like

3:38or at least like an angle or a view that

3:40is completely different to anything that

3:42else like anything else that is on the

3:44their homepage. There's being unique and

3:46then there's like purple cows that are

3:48just like they completely your eyes are

3:51just drawn to them. So,

3:53you you'll see in most of my thumbnails,

3:55I try and put something in there that

3:57not many people have seen before or like

3:58just uh maybe it's like the composition

4:00of the thumbnail or an a single element.

4:03Like whenever I do bedroom videos, I

4:04always try and put like a folding bed in

4:07the thumbnail just because it's

4:09completely like like it's it's so

4:11unique. Not that many people have seen

4:13it before. So, with the playing video, I

4:16if you want to know my exact formula to

4:18how I got that uh video, it's um I can

4:21actually even uh type out so you guys

4:23can put it on the screen. It it's

4:24literally the formula I use every single

4:26video to try and like make it do a one

4:28out of 10. It's how and that's how I'm

4:29like thinking of my video ideas. I've

4:31got it here, right here. So, you take an

4:33idea that has proven to get 10 mil views

4:36plus and that that that can be, you

4:38know, a variable. It can be a mill. It

4:40can be whatever you're trying to aim

4:41for, but if you're like uh me and you're

4:43trying to go for like the most most

4:45views possible, I try and pick something

4:47that has got got like 10 mil views plus,

4:50then you times the idea with content

4:52that your audience is already familiar

4:54with. Uh so for me that was gaming. Uh

4:57and then you again times that idea with

5:01a thumbnail that no one has ever seen

The 1/10 Formula

5:03before, which is a purple cow. Like it's

5:0610 10 mil view plus idea times content

5:10that your audience is already familiar

5:11with times purple cow equals 1 out of

5:1410. That's my formula. Like that's how I

5:16do pretty much every single video idea

5:18now.

5:18>> And that's why we built one of 10.com a

5:20tool that helps creators like you do the

5:22same but 100 times easier. The tool

5:24helps you find viral video ideas already

5:26working in your niche. It then analyzes

5:28the millions of outliers in the database

5:30to help you generate your titles and

5:32thumbnails that match your channel. For

5:33example, you can create thumbnails in

5:35the style of beluga or even create

5:37variations of thumbnails from just a

5:39title. And this works in any niche. No

5:41more wasting hours brainstorming

5:42concepts and designing on Canva. And one

5:44creator even use one of 10 to combine a

5:46viral idea with a high performing

5:48thumbnail concept. The result, her most

5:51viewed video ever with over 2 million

5:53views. And the best part, with code pod

5:5520, you'll get 20% off for life. So if

5:57you want to grow your channel faster,

5:59join thousands of YouTubers and head

6:00over to oneof10.com. Now, back to the

Why POV thumbnails crush

6:03pod.

6:03>> Speaking of the purple cow, like dude, I

6:05remember I saw this video when it had

6:06like 3 million views. I was like, "Holy

6:08this is such a cool video." And

6:10what really grabbed my attention is

6:11like, you know, I've seen a lot of the

6:12airplane videos from Beast and from

6:14Tran. But like, you are spot on. Like,

6:16I'm a gamer. I like gaming. Um, so I was

6:18like really drawn to it, but like what

6:19really like sold me on this video above

6:22all outs above like the seeds is the

6:24POV. Like the POV of holding like the

6:26controller from like the like into like

6:28the things. So like I I like I was on a

6:30Thai Airflight and they actually have

6:31like that exact same like kind of

6:32controller. So I'm like, "Oh, that's

6:33kind of cool." And then it's like also

6:34like on like the the POV of like holding

6:36like the PlayStation controller and like

6:37like the golden suite. I was like, "This

6:39is super sick." Like that's how I would

6:41be experiencing it. Like I've got to

6:42click on it. It was just like it was

6:43such a

6:44>> I mean purple cow thumbnail is so

6:46unique. No one ever like no one ever

6:48does POV thumbnails and it worked so so

6:50well here. It was awesome. Another

6:52another reason why POV works so well is

6:54because if you I've learned that most of

6:58the time if you're focusing on your face

7:00and the thumbnail rather than the actual

7:02concept and like the idea of the video

7:04itself, you'll get way less views. Like

7:07any single time I've taken myself out of

7:09thumbnail, the clickthrough rate has

7:11gone up a bit and then impressions have

Faces vs concepts

7:12just shot up like every single time

7:15without fail. I don't think there's

7:17really been a time where I've put myself

7:18in a thumbnail other than for reference

7:20only that like the clickthrough rate has

7:23gone up like because there's just a a

7:25number of reasons if you focus on the

7:27actual idea and the reason why people

7:29would want to click in the first place.

7:30I feel that's the the best way to

7:32optimize a thumbnail is like give the

7:33audience what they actually want. Don't

7:35focus on you. I think there's so many

7:36thumbnails out there where I mean it's

7:38fine to put yourself in the thumbnail. I

7:40do it all the time as well, but like I

7:43find that like the best way to think

7:45about it is just like try and be as

7:47least selfish as possible. Like in my

7:50head I think about what does the

7:52audience want? Because I'm a slave to

7:53the audience. Like I I generally I am a

7:55slave to them. What do they want? They

7:57want like to find an uh an interesting

8:00video to click on. So I'm providing that

8:02for them. I should just give them that

8:04like ju that what they want to click on.

8:07I don't need to like have me half in the

8:09thumbnail. I mean, it it helps uh on the

8:12first 24 hours because uh here's my

8:15thumbnail process. Like I normally have

8:17myself in the thumbnail for the first 24

8:18hours so my core audience can click on

8:21it. It can be like 24 hours to a week

8:23and then like I take myself out and

8:25focus on the concept or if I'm in it,

8:28I'll be like I'm just in it for

8:30reference. If you go to like here's a

8:32really interesting study that I found

8:34which I found this out while I was like

8:35really ill and I just went to every

8:38single like top YouTubers channel like

8:40you know the top 100 YouTubers and I

8:42just went uh and clicked on their most

8:44you know when you can click the the

8:45popular tab on their like videos. You go

8:48to pretty much any YouTuber like nearly

8:5290% of their like top 10 videos don't

8:55have them in it. So, if I was to go on

8:56like Ryan Tran's channel, right, and I

8:59go on to videos and I go on to uh and I

9:02go on to most popular, you'll notice

9:04that most of these thumbnails either

9:07he's not in them or he's only in it for

9:09reference. So, okay, first one that it's

9:12a bit of an outlier, but like you go to

9:14the second, third, fourth one, you can't

9:17even tell that's Ryan if you don't know

9:19Ryan. Like, if you don't know who Ryan

9:20is, you can't tell that's Ryan. Same

9:22thing with like um this car one, this

9:24island one, all these like this entire

9:27row here apart from this one. Like

9:30you can't even really tell it's Ryan

9:32because he's in it for reference. He's

9:33focusing on the content rather than

9:36himself, if that makes sense. Again, you

9:38do the same with like uh Mark Robber,

9:41like you just go onto his most popular

9:44videos. Where are they? Here we go. Like

9:46I don't like what he's kind of doing

9:48now. I think he should be focusing in

9:50like if he wants his his channel uh if

9:51he wants his like videos to go out to

9:53the most widest audience ever. Literally

9:55every single thumbnail he's like in it

9:58for reference. Like this one he's in it

9:59for reference. He doesn't he's not the

10:01star of the thumbnail. The content is um

10:03every single one of these he's in it for

10:05reference instead of just like and I

10:08think that's if you want to generally go

10:09for the most views possible and just hit

10:11like a really really wide audience

10:13that's the best way to go is like focus

10:14on the content in the thumbnail not

10:16yourself.

10:17>> Yeah. I think uh I think it's really

10:18good cuz I reached a similar conclusion

10:21a few years ago when I was working in

10:22the gaming niche. I'd put the gaming

10:24creator's face in the thumbnail and it

10:26get less views.

10:27>> Basically exactly what you came to is

10:28like they don't care about the creator,

10:30they care about the idea,

10:31>> right? So like if you can remove that

10:34limiting factor of like having to be

10:36known in order to get people to click,

10:38it works. Like Mr. Beast can put his

10:39face in every thumbnail because he's

10:41like the most known guy. But if you were

10:43to make Mr. produce content yourself.

10:44Like you wouldn't want to put your face

10:45in the thumbnail cuz no one knows you

10:46yet. You don't have that equity with the

10:48audience.

10:49>> Exactly. And I I feel like when when you

10:51get so big, there's a point where you

10:53know your face is like a recognizable

10:56point to the audience. But even I still

10:58feel like I could like one thing that I

11:00could I generally would criticize Mr.

11:02Beast on is I feel like sometimes his

11:04face does take up way too much of the

11:06actual content. Like okay, like for

11:08example, again, not to be not I'm not

11:09being a Mr. Beast hater. I'm just

11:11friendly criticizing his uh his

11:13thumbnail game here. But if I go on to

11:15his channel, here's how I would critique

11:17Mr. Beast that the one with the cheat is

11:18really good because he's in it for

11:20reference. But like there's some here. I

11:22think the plane video from now is awful.

11:26>> Like I can't even tell it's a plane. I I

11:28can't even tell it's a plane from like

11:30where I'm looking. He's taken up most of

11:32the the screen.

11:33>> I I feel like there's so many where like

11:35you've hit like 500 million views now.

11:39There is now a point where not every

11:41single like there's a whole new audience

11:43now who don't know who you are once you

11:45reach like 500 million views. I think

11:48that's the the time to take yourself out

11:49the thumbnail. Uh Jimmy, just saying

11:52like um the house one I feel like

11:55there's a lot of these thumbnails where

11:56I'm like I think once they get past like

11:59you know 400 million views once you get

12:01past the amount of people who know about

12:02Mr. at least like my mom probably

12:04wouldn't click on this but she'd

12:05probably click on it if he wasn't in the

12:07thumbnail. Like that's how I tried to

12:10think of things sometimes. Like you know

12:12what would make my uh like my mom click

12:14or my dad click or just like the the

12:17random you know the average YouTube

12:18viewer who like how do I make someone

12:21click who isn't my average audience? And

12:22I obviously I know Jimmy's trying to

12:24like reach the most wide appealing

12:26audience ever. So like that I don't know

12:28that's what I that's some critique that

12:29I'd give to Mr. the beast is like in

12:31this I can't even see the plane

12:34generally that's what I'd say that's a a

12:36value that I really uphold a lot is just

12:37like focus on the content because that's

12:39what people are there for like that

12:41you're supposed to be serving the

12:42audience what what they want and I mean

12:44sometimes you know sometime if you're a

12:46personal brand don't listen to anything

12:47I've just said because sometimes like

12:49like if you're just trying to reach the

12:51most uh if you're trying to get the most

12:52wide appealing videos ever do that but

12:55if you're like a personal brand like I

12:57know Ryan Tran's new series it makes

12:59sense for him to put himself in the

13:00thumbnail. I mean, like it it he doesn't

13:03have to listen to anything I just said

13:04there. But if you're trying to get like

13:05a 50 to 100 mil, that's what I'd say.

13:08It's like focus on the content itself.

13:11>> That's what I always say as well, like

13:12for for the thumbnail, the packaging,

13:15you got to attract people who's never

13:17heard of you. Like most people don't

13:19know you are.

13:19>> I found it out in such a heartbreaking

13:21way as well. I uploaded this uh setup

13:23video like where I did my gaming room

13:25and I I put myself in the thumbnail and

13:28I did an A to B test with like myself in

13:31and out and like s the day the day of

13:34taking myself out the the clickthrough

13:36rate shot up and then the video just

13:39really took off. I was like damn people

13:41don't care about me.

13:42>> Yeah, that's how you get new people to

13:44to know who you are.

13:46>> Yeah, exactly man. Plus some people are

13:47judgmental. Some people won't click on

13:48you just because the way you look or

13:50like your age or your gender. So POVs

13:54like some sometimes you just got to get

13:56people to click and then they're like,

13:57"Oh, okay. This looks like a good video

13:58after watching for 15 seconds. Maybe I

14:00will watch this guy." So like yeah, POVs

14:03are brilliant because they just take out

14:04like a lot of a lot of judgment. I'd say

14:06>> for that video, can you show how much

14:08you made and how how it blew up?

14:11>> Okay.

14:11>> Oh, that is I'd be so curious, too.

Money talk

14:13>> Okay. So So I obviously dubbed that

14:14video, so the the the RPM on it is

14:16terrible. Um, I won't give the exact

14:19figure, but I I will say that it did

14:21make six figures.

14:23>> Um,

14:23>> okay.

14:24>> But I I will say again,

14:26>> it's at least $3 RPM. That's great.

14:28>> Yeah, it is exactly lower when you

14:30>> It's basically it's basically an exact

14:33$3 RPM. Um

14:35>> Okay. Okay. Okay.

14:36>> So, uh or three pounds cuz I'm in um in

14:38the UK. Um, so yeah, pretty much most of

14:43that uh like money that the video made,

14:46I invested into the next two videos.

14:48>> So like pretty literally like uh my

14:51sister's video where I surprised her

14:52with her dream bedroom. Like I did so

14:55much for that video where like I got her

14:56like a bedroom, a gaming room, and a

14:59car. And that costs so much money. But

15:02like I also um I also just believe in

15:05just making I really am trying to make

15:06the best videos possible. Like I h not

15:09to have that Mr. Beast mindset, but I do

15:11kind of a little bit of like just invest

15:13everything and just try and make the

15:14best video possible just because I know

15:16that like if people have a good

15:18experience with my video, they're

Underrated metrics

15:20probably going to click on the next one

15:21and the next one. And like, you know,

15:24that's a metric that no one ever talks

15:26about when like talking about

15:27click-through rate is like

15:28>> what was the uh viewers experience with

15:30the last video that you did? Like no one

15:32ever talks about that. like only a few

15:34select people like uh Mario Juice talks

15:37about it a lot generally you talk about

15:38like title thumbnail they're big factors

15:41of what uh makes people click a video

15:42but also just like what was the

15:44experience with your last video did you

15:45make your audience feel something did

15:47were they happy watching it were they

15:48emotional watching it and there's a few

15:50YouTubers who like it doesn't matter

15:53what they post I will just click on

15:55their video because I know they're

15:58amazing videos like uh like uh I used to

16:00work with Nikoana obviously when I was

16:02working with uh with Beta Squad. He

16:04uploads so many good videos that I just

16:06click them no matter what they are cuz I

16:08know every single one is going to be a

16:09banger on the main channel that it's

16:11like on his main channel just goes above

16:13and beyond and I'll click it no matter

16:14what just because I know it's an amazing

16:16video.

16:16>> When the when that video blew up, was

16:18that the the first mega blow up or or

16:21you

16:21>> That was the first mega blowup video.

16:24Yeah. Like that I think it did like I

16:26think it did like 10 million views in 7

16:28days.

16:28>> Then you're immediately thinking, okay,

16:30what's the next video?

16:31>> What's the next video? What's the next

16:32video? Literally that like honestly

16:34guys, I've I've generally lived through

16:36life like just not like crazily

16:39concerned about money just because like

16:41I my family never had like like we we're

16:44never poor but like we were like we we

16:46were always like at the level where like

16:47you've got to just always save money and

16:50like you're buying like own brand

16:53groceries. I guess there was a point in

16:55my life where I really was poor and that

16:56was when I was like working for um

16:59YouTubers

17:01uh and I was like living on my own and I

17:02really just learned how to like live

17:05really cheaply and now that I and once I

17:07got to that point I just thought I don't

17:10need anything else other in my life like

17:12I'm eating. I've got a roof over my

17:14head. Everything else now can just go

17:16into like YouTube videos. Like I'm I

17:19literally I try and wear like really

17:20simple clothes. I don't really want to

17:22like splash out on any like stupid

17:25stuff. I think buying a watch is is a

17:27bit silly, but to me anyway, I know some

17:29people like it, but to me, like buying

17:31like a $10,000 watch, I'm like, that's a

17:33that's a that's a good video. Like, I

17:34could be I could be putting that into

17:36like I I I just want to let people know

17:38that like, you know, I really do just

17:40want to invest all my money into videos

17:42and I'll be doing it till the day I die.

17:44Like, I just I I have a pure passion for

17:47making videos and that's all I'll ever

17:49want to do. Actually, before getting

17:50into that 14 million views you got in in

17:53two months, which is crazy

17:55>> and where you reinvested everything, I'm

17:57curious. You you mentioned about uh

17:58talking about working with YouTubers.

18:01>> Who did you work with? What did you

18:02learn from them? Curious to hear.

18:04>> Yeah. So, I've worked for like the the

18:05two main big YouTubers I worked for was

18:08a a guy who's actually also in my niche

18:10uh in like room renovations, which is a

18:13guy called Frenchy Fries. Uh, so we were

18:15like best friends growing up on YouTube

18:17like uh like we were work like we were

18:20best friends since like uh 12, 13, 14

18:22years old like something somewhere

18:24around about that uh sort of age. We

18:26just grew up on YouTube together just

18:27trying to grow our channels and uh

18:29eventually he blew up and uh decided

18:32that I could uh do some editing for him.

18:34Uh I I moved out to the to the US. I uh

18:39it didn't work out unfortunately like

18:41the Yeah. not not for any shade, but the

18:43uh the I couldn't live like on the uh

18:47the like on how much he could pay me.

18:48So, I I I had to move over to uh doing

18:51other YouTubers work and eventually I

18:54stumbled on uh AJ Shabil from Beta Squad

18:56who was looking for an editor. I applied

18:58for that and I got like a call back the

19:00next day just being like, "Oh my god,

19:02let's work together." So, that's how I

19:03sort of progressed on uh in the YouTube

19:06game. Then I was working for Asia for

19:07about around about two and a half years.

19:09It might be two, but it was around about

19:11that sort of time frame. And uh yeah, I

19:13got some great experiences there.

19:14Originally, it was an editor role, but I

19:17sort of like developed my skills into

19:19like a sort of assistant creator where I

19:21was doing a bit of everything like

19:24ideas, scripting, like thumbnail

19:26concepts. Uh the I was the cameraman, I

19:29was the VFX editor, I was uh the normal

19:31like just like normal editing, just a

19:34bit of everything. And I guess that's

19:36where I realized at that point that hey

19:37maybe I I could be behind the camera

19:39myself and and and doing this myself

19:42sort of thing.

19:42>> I'd say from uh AJ what what what do you

19:46think you learned the most?

19:47>> Just experience in the YouTube game as a

19:49whole just like there's so many things

19:52just like my in those two years

19:54everything improved like my editing got

19:56better my storytelling got better. Uh,

19:58I'm trying to think of like a really

20:00specific thing that would be that would

20:01blow people's minds, but like generally

20:03just working under those guys, seeing

20:05how they think, how they think of ideas,

20:07what would do well, like um, if you want

20:10to get into the YouTube game, work for

20:11YouTubers because sometimes the pay

20:14ain't great, but the experience is like

20:16life-changing.

20:17>> Agreed. I mean, that's why we we have

20:19this consulting part of of of one of 10

20:22as well is we're working with so many

20:24creators with like 30 40 and we see all

20:27different niches, what's working, what

20:29what's not and and and by working with

20:31like so many of them, you you start

20:33learning. So,

20:33>> yeah, it 100% is like there was there

20:36was points where I was like living with

20:37them and just like I was with them every

20:39single day. you just learn, you pick up

20:40on so many different things. Just like

20:43how to do an intro better or like even

20:45just how to word um sentences like I I

20:49Okay, here's one thing that I sort of I

20:52learned with them like they didn't teach

20:54me this, but one thing that I always

20:56like I learned when I was with them is

20:58like just the way I word sentences now.

21:00Like so for example, in a intro for a

21:02video I try not to say I'm about to fly

21:07on all these airplanes. I'd phrase it

21:09more along the line of you're about to

21:10experience all these airplane seats,

21:12like trying to give something to the

21:14viewer rather than receiving. Um, it

21:16kind of relates back to Ryan Tran's like

21:17redemptive framework, like trying to do

21:20something without uh trying to give

21:21something without without receiving.

21:23Trying to give like a video as a gift.

21:25That's a great like mindset cuz you can

21:27learn a whole bunch from that. I mean, I

21:29can go into it more, but I remember

21:30learning that with those guys like just,

21:33you know, because you're in a big house,

21:34you you're all like watching YouTube

21:36videos, you're learning stuff with them

21:38because it's just a completely different

21:39mindset like than just being on your

21:41own.

21:42>> It's interesting to see your your path,

21:44right? Cuz I I can see you're studying

21:46intensively YouTube. You're you're on it

21:48probably every day.

21:50>> And so that's how you came across like,

21:51okay, no faces and and those outliers

21:54stuff.

21:55>> There's a reason why Mr. at least gets

21:56the amount of views he gets like you

21:58know he's him and his team are just so

22:00dedicated and the team that I want to

22:02build is very much like people who are

22:04very dedicated. I don't want to hire

22:06anyone if they're not like I'll just do

22:07this job for a bit and then I'll move on

22:09to the next thing. Like I want people

22:10who are like super dedicated like

22:11learning with me trying to figure out

22:13new things like progress the channel and

22:15therefore I can therefore share the the

Designing for thumbnails

22:17the gains of that with them.

22:19>> So I built my sister her dream 30k

22:21bedroom that hit 14 million fast. Uh,

22:25why do you think that is versus the

22:27rest?

22:27>> Oh, I know why that video did. Like I

22:29that video I kind of like imagined it

22:31would do as well as it did just because

22:33like the thumbnail I planned it out like

22:35two months uh in advance. So the

22:37composition of that thumbnail, you'll

22:40notice that it's just pure leading lines

22:42going into the like the center of the

22:44thumbnail. Like if you look at that

22:46thumbnail, uh the way I even just like

22:49built that room was for the thumbnail.

22:51So, like I I went to like my little like

22:53design software, sketched out the room.

22:55I even like took the angle of the

22:57thumbnail in like my little like room

22:59designer app and I was like that's the

23:02that's the thumbnail. And then it was

23:04just trying to make that in real life.

23:06And then another thing that I did which

23:09I feel like made the video go like

23:11really like really super viral is like

23:13just making it a really wholesome video

23:16and making people feel something. That's

23:18one thing that I'm really trying to do

23:19now within my videos is just make people

23:22feel an emotion.

23:23>> Um, the amount of people who said in the

23:25comment section that they they like

23:27cried at the end. Like I basically

23:30surprised her with a her car at the end

23:32and she she had no clue about it. And

23:34people just were like, "Damn, I cried at

23:37the end of that." Like you finally got a

23:38hug with your sister and I was like,

23:40damn, this is like seeing the impact of

23:43like that and also the views and also

23:45like just how people felt. That's what I

23:47want to do in like my next coming

23:48videos. Like I I was I was slacking a

23:50bit in my last one, but the room that

23:53I'm in right now, the build that I'm

23:54currently on, that's what I really want

23:56to focus on is just making people feel

23:58an emotion. I feel like so many people

24:00who can make you feel an emotion after

24:03watching a video. Like there's there's

24:05two YouTubers that come to mind. I

24:06always feel an emotion when I'm watching

24:07Ryan Tran or one of Niko Amalana's

24:10videos. always feel something like

24:12whether it's a plot twist or I I feel

24:14just like ah that like I feel happy

24:17after watching it. Making viewers feel

24:19something can just make you

24:20>> like they're so much more likely to

24:22watch a next video like watch one of

24:24your next videos or like just recommend

24:27it to a friend. And I I genuinely

24:29believe that is where like big amount of

24:32views comes from because if they enjoyed

24:34the video that much that obviously

24:35retention is good. You just got to pair

24:37that with a good clickable thumbnail and

24:39got yourself a viral video there.

24:40>> One of the things that I think is really

24:42interesting um about that video, which I

24:45think you probably have the answer to

Retention hacks

24:47this. It's probably a pretty simple

24:48answer.

24:48>> Okay.

24:49>> Is you did I built my dream $20,000

24:51bedroom 10 months ago. So that was prior

24:53to the sister one. This one

24:54outperformed.

24:55>> Would you say that outperformance is

24:57because you're doing it for someone

24:58else? Because it's the storytelling

24:59because you leveled up since then? Like

25:01why do you think

25:02>> Oh, a million things have improved.

25:03>> Yeah. I'd love to know like why do you

25:05think that one did this sister video did

25:07so much better than your own video when

25:09the content is somewhat similar? I got

25:12this guy called Mario Juice who's like a

25:14very very you know crazy retention

25:16expert and he roasted uh this video here

25:19which is I built my ultimate dual gaming

25:22room and there was so many little things

25:24I picked up on that he said which was

25:27like double explaining intros like I al

25:30I also asked him about like oh why do so

25:32many people like lose retention after

25:35the initial reaction of a room and he

25:37was basically telling me that like

25:38you've kind of fulfilled the promise of

25:40the video and you've not left the

25:42audience with something else to look

25:43forward to. So, in my sister's video,

25:45you'll notice that in fact, do you want

25:47me to pull up the retention for that

25:48video? Cuz like this is crazy. Why? This

25:52is like Mario Juice is the whole reason

25:55why I bought my sister a car.

25:57>> Okay, that I can see that. I can see

25:58that being the case that I

26:00>> This is where I think it's around about

26:02here is where the reaction is. And as

26:03you can see, it's it's not too bad

26:05around about here like and and normally

26:07and normally like at a reaction the

26:09retention just goes goes straight down

26:11because you know people have got the

26:12reaction now like they they've got what

26:14they've came for. They saw the reaction.

26:16If it drags on any longer then people

26:18just sort of get bored. I also surprised

26:21her with like a bunch of different

26:24little things. So like I got her a new

26:26phone, I got her like I built her a

26:28gaming room as well. And then the the

26:30final one was like I got her a car. Uh,

26:32and then there was also like a B plot

26:34point which was like I've never gotten a

26:36hug like a proper proper hug from my

26:38sister before. So like hopefully this

26:41car does that like gets me that hug. And

26:44you'll notice as soon as I get the hug

26:46uh which is around about like here

26:48>> their attention falls off. So once once

26:51people once people get what they come

26:54for in a video they click off. So that

26:57is the one piece of advice is that I

26:59could give everyone is that once people

27:01get what they get what they came for

27:03they click off. So try and have like as

27:04many additional goals at the end if you

27:07want people to stay for longer and

27:08longer because you know initially the

27:10video was about the room renovation and

27:12once and once they saw it yeah people

27:13still stayed on because there was

27:14something else to look forward to.

27:16>> So you bought her a car not out of love

27:17but out of retention.

27:19>> Out of retention. I also I also know

27:21that she wanted like she had a terrible

27:23car so I was like I could borrow a car

27:26and you know it would be really it would

27:29be also really good for retention. I

27:30mean I I want to this is the way I want

27:32to use my channel is like I want to I

27:34want to do some fun things for my family

27:36that they they would have like never got

27:37to experience and just do it through the

27:40love of like making videos. Like I love

27:42making videos and I I really want to

27:44just like give my family like

27:46experiences they've never had before and

27:48just make them happy because like I said

27:49we didn't have a lot like too much

27:51growing up. Yeah. Doing this sort of

27:52stuff really this really fulfills me

27:55just like doing the especially the room

Thumbnail tricks

27:57builds

27:57>> that thumbnail and a lot of your

27:59thumbnail has that like glow effect or

28:02something on your thumbnails. What what

28:04do you do exactly?

28:05>> A lot of a lot of it is just lights. I

28:07call them like enhanced raws. like you

28:09take a raw photo and then like you just

28:11like I got I have a guy who like helps

28:13me with like the 3D modeling of stuff.

28:15Do a lot of the thumbnails myself, but I

28:17have a guy who like who helps me with

28:19like the 3D modeling and the lighting

28:21elements just because I'm not too great

28:23at that stuff. But like making it pop

28:26is, you know, something I can do really

28:28well. But a lot of it is just like

28:30taking really good raw photos. If you

28:31can take a really good raw photo, you

28:33can pretty much like it's so much easier

28:36to get like a a good thumbnail out of

28:38just like a really good raw. So like,

28:41okay, here's another thing that I did,

28:42right, which is a bit sneaky, but like

28:45people don't care. U so like the the I

28:47built my sister's dream um like room

28:50thumbnail. You you'll notice that like

28:52the setup is in the room. In the initial

28:54bedroom, there's no gaming setup. It's a

28:56completely separate room. But like in

28:59the thumbnail, the way I like I I uh

29:02positioned and like everything out was

29:04to have all leading lines going to the

29:06middle of the thumbnail. The bed points

29:07to the middle. The screens on the on the

29:09right go into the middle. And the way I

29:11did that was I literally like that setup

29:13is real. It's not fake. I I just the the

29:15room the gaming room that I built for

29:17her. I took the desk out and I moved it

29:20into the bedroom to get that thumbnail.

29:23And not one comment has has said

29:24anything about like, "Oh, the

29:25thumbnail's fake." I mean, because it

29:27isn't. Like, I in the video I still

29:28built her an entire gaming room. Like,

29:30it's just that on the thumbnail it just

29:32looks so much more enticing if like the

29:34way I sort of framed it. Like, do you

29:36get what I mean? Like,

29:37>> it's a question I actually had like

29:39overall on the channel. It's actually

29:40crazy that you do your own thumbnails

29:41cuz in the last year you've gotten like

29:43way better or like I in my opinion like

29:46they look way better. Like they they're

29:48way more interesting. Like obviously

29:50like the plane seat one's really good.

29:51Even though I tried gaming capsule

29:53hotels like that's another really good

29:54one compared to just a year ago. Like

29:56I'd love to know like you know if

29:58there's something that was kind of like

29:59a catalyst for making those better

30:00thumbnails or again it's just like you

30:02know incremental improvements like 1%

30:04every time or if there was a shift

30:06you're like you know kind of how you're

30:07talking about the Mario Juice shift in

30:08terms of retention. There was like oh

30:10man this is how I took my thumbnails to

30:12the next level. Like I'd love to know

30:13how that kind of transpired.

30:14>> Yeah. So, a lot of it is just like

30:16looking at like other thumbnails that

30:18work that like and and and now I'm

30:20getting like new ideas for like

30:22inspiration. Um, so like the POV ones

30:25that actually that was actually

30:26something I just did accidentally on my

30:28own, but I know that POV is like another

30:30like whole genre of thumbnails, but like

30:32I kind of I did that on my capsule um

30:36pod hotels thumbnail. I accidentally

30:38just I just took that in the in the

30:39capsule pod that I was in and it just

30:41did so well. like the the the A2B that

30:45test I did. That video stunk at first.

30:47Like it was just a it was a video. It

30:49was a thumbnail of me just hanging out

30:51the capture pod and it was kind of

30:52really hard to like see what it was. But

30:54I did a POV and the next day it I swear

30:58down it went from like a nine to a one

31:00out of 10. Like that's how crazy the

31:03change was. Like within like I think it

31:05was within like within like one to two

31:06days that's how crazy the change of the

31:08thumbnail was. So, initially started off

31:10really bad. Or maybe it picked up over

31:13Yeah, I think it picked up around about

31:15like Let me go on to the first 24 hours.

31:17>> It It didn't do as well as I wanted to

31:19within like the first like five hours.

Reviving Dead Videos

31:22>> Okay. So, I uploaded it on December the

31:247th. Let me go on to the custom date. Uh

31:26that's where I can really show you the

31:27graph if I go on like the first seven

31:29days. So, like it did like Yeah, it was

31:32okay. Okay, it might have been the

31:32second day which I changed the

31:33thumbnail, but like it just went crazy.

31:37Like um

31:38>> just that one change like it made it

31:40just blow up. And that was from doing

31:42the POV. I I I sort of just combined

31:45ideas together. So I was like, okay, I

31:47remember that taking myself out the

31:49thumbnail works.

31:52>> Of course, that's why the POV version

31:54did better where my face is not in it.

31:56But also, I am just focusing I am

31:58focusing on the actual concept of the

31:59video itself. that that's what I try and

32:01do now. Like if if I go on to my entire

32:03channel, you'll notice that hardly any

32:08uh hardly any of the thumbnails have my

32:10face in. Like out of these whole 16

32:12here,

32:13>> there's one

32:14>> that has my face in. Like literally,

32:16well, I mean, obviously these do, but

32:18like that's they're more for reference.

32:20Like, you know, they're just to show the

32:22size of something. They're here to show

32:23like and this one it's to show the size

32:25of the bed or to show just the scale of

32:27things. But um yeah, mostly I don't put

32:30myself in there. And then the the room

32:32transformation ones are pretty easy.

32:33They're just enhanced versions of the

32:35room. So like obviously I get like um I

32:37just take a raw photo of the room before

32:39and after. And then my thumbnail guy

32:41just does like a few more like enhanced

32:43models of uh stuff. So, uh, for example,

32:47just things like making the windows

32:49nicer, like, uh, the stuff we put on the

32:52shelf just make it a bit more, uh, a bit

32:54more bold and a bit more like, yeah,

32:56it's it's little things, but like we

32:58work together really well. And there's

33:01honestly thumbnails is I love I just

33:03love making thumbnails. Thumbnails is

33:04probably one of my most favorite things

33:05to do on YouTube. I love it.

33:07>> I'm curious while talking about

33:09thumbnails, if you look at the one of 10

33:10podcasts, what what do you think we

33:12should do for thumbnails? You know, I'm

33:14terrible on the spot. I like I like the

33:16one with Hang Time. I love the one with

33:18Hang Time. That one

33:19>> That's where you commented.

33:21>> Yeah, I I now I watch all these, but

33:23like Okay, I know I know it looks like

33:25some of these I haven't been watching,

33:26but that's just me skipping for uh for

33:28the interview questions. I That was when

33:30I was researching, but like I like the

33:32ones where you show the person. And I

33:34think some of these ones, like the Jenny

33:36Hoya one, I can't even like see like

33:39hardly any of that text there. Small

33:41text is bad. I normally find I would

33:44normally just like I really like the

33:45hangtime one because it's like it's kind

33:47of like what I do which is like a before

33:49and after. I think transformation ones

33:50are really good. Going from like nothing

33:52to something that really intrigues

33:54people like oh how you know how did they

33:56go from this to this? That that's always

33:58so intriguing. So I'd say more half and

34:00half honestly.

34:01>> Actually our most viewed video is half

34:02and half. So you may have a point.

34:04>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That Yeah. Yeah. I'd

34:06say more half and half, guys, because I

34:09mean I mean I think if you're if you're

34:11doing someone like uh I don't know if if

34:14you're doing a podcast where it's

34:15focusing on just just viral tips like uh

34:19I think I watched the Jenny Hoyers one

34:20where she's telling about shorts and

34:22stuff. But then again, maybe you do a

34:24half and half like going from, you know,

34:26a short with zero views and a short with

34:28a billion views.

34:30>> I don't know. I I think half and halfs

34:31are brilliant. You know, I'd say go go

34:33more down that route. And before getting

34:35into that, let me tell you about how the

34:36one of 10 strategy team can help you

34:38grow your channel much faster and make

34:40more money. Our team has directly worked

34:42with over a 100 YouTubers to grow their

34:44channels by optimizing their content,

34:47focusing on the right strategies. So,

34:49for example, here's a video idea title

34:51and thumbnail that we crafted for Mike

34:53Shake that ended up getting 22 million

34:55views and being his most popular video

34:57of all time. Another example is the

34:59content strategy we built for Callaway,

35:01helping him go from 0 to 70,000

35:04subscribers and grow a six-figure

35:06business on top of that. And those are

35:07only just two of many creators the team

35:09has worked with in the past 6 years. So,

35:11if you're ready to take your channel to

35:13the next level in the next 90 days with

35:15daily support, video reviews, winning

35:17ideas, titles, and thumbnails, and even

35:20two calls per month to answer all your

35:21questions. Head over to

35:23oneofon.com/strategy

35:25to book a call. Uh well actually talking

35:27about shorts um so you've got a few uh

Shorts that feed longform

35:30like your most viewed video is uh 18

35:33million views. Curious what's what's

35:35your thoughts on shorts?

35:37>> A lot of it there's a lot of benefits.

35:38There's so many. There's like the

35:40subscriber growth that like the amount

35:42of people you can just hit with a short

35:43if you do if you do them right. But

35:45mostly, I'd say the biggest reason is

35:47just trying to get that subscriber count

35:48up to and my content out to more people

35:51and also just to make content that like

35:53I would never make for a long form.

35:56>> Uh do you think it converts well for you

35:58the shorts to long?

35:59>> Yeah. Yeah, honestly they do. Um like

36:01now like now they do like now that I'm

36:03actually putting time into shorts like

36:04they like yeah I've I look at the um I'm

36:08a big uh I study like graphs so much and

36:12uh like where people are coming from and

36:14shorts aren't that bad. Like um I feel

36:16like if you're just a shorts channel

36:18it's terrible. Don't ever like I've seen

36:21shorts channels that are like they've

36:22got 22 mil and they can't pull like a

36:24100k. But like I think if you do have a

36:27good like long form and you pair that

36:30with a good short form that that's when

36:31they start connecting like especially if

36:33your short form is directly uh linked to

36:37your long form like if you're in the

36:39same genre like if I'm making I don't

36:42know trampoline content like long form

36:44and it's doing pretty well. I'm gonna do

36:46trampoline short form content instead of

36:49like I don't know baking like or just

36:52like just random stuff like it really

36:54helps if you just link the two together

36:55because that's when they normally

36:56convert the most.

36:57>> What's an advice you would say to for

37:00shorts to blow up?

37:01>> Okay, here's here's a bit of crazy

37:03advice. Sometimes your short isn't bad.

37:05Sometimes you just haven't got a shorts

37:07audience yet. Let me explain it. Right.

37:09So, I've uploaded like when I was like

37:11experimenting with shorts, I've uploaded

37:13shorts before that just flopped. They

37:16did like uh well flopping for me. Like

37:20if I want to do like a million views a

37:22short and like I'd post some and they'd

37:24they'd do like 20k like 20k um views

37:28which isn't great for like for what for

37:30how I'd want my shorts to do. But here's

37:33the thing. Once I started I I posted one

37:36short which was like dying gay

37:37PlayStation controller with like a smoke

37:40bomb and that did really well. Once I

37:43uploaded that, every single short I did

37:45did really well no matter what it no

37:47matter what it was really. And then I

37:50started re-uploading some of the shorts

37:52that did like previously not as well

37:55like the one that did 20k and now that

37:57one is on half a million. It's the exact

37:59same video but maybe I just didn't have

38:01a shorts audience. And obviously shorts

38:03audience are a lot different to long

38:04form uh viewers. Um so like sometimes

38:07they probably won't watch as long or

38:09maybe they just they don't like maybe

38:11long form viewers don't like short form

38:13content so they'll just skip it. One

38:16thing that I have been doing is I

38:17haven't been publishing like when you

38:20upload a video you can like choose

38:22whether or not to have it published to

38:24your subscribers. I actually turn I

38:26actually turned that off. Uh, so it it

38:28would just hit the shorts algorithm

38:30rather than like uh it be like the

38:33analytics be impacted by my actual

38:35viewers. That's one thing you can do.

38:37Like if you turn off the little like uh

38:40notification um to have your shorts go

38:43out to your like long form viewers,

38:44that's a game changer.

38:46>> What's one piece of advice you'd give

38:48for someone one thing to grow from zero

Stair-step niching

38:49to 1.5 million subscribers? Like what

38:52what do you think made it happen for

38:54you? If I was to like take like any

38:58niche like like like a person who

39:01literally has zero subscribers and I do

39:04this a few I've done this a few times

39:05like I've I've mentored a few people who

39:07are like followed this exact process

39:09which I'm about to tell you and they're

39:10like now starting to like think about

39:12becoming full-time creators. They're not

39:14at 1.5 mill yet, but they they'll get

39:16there. I I don't know what to call this

39:18process, but like let's say let's give

39:21me a random niche, right? Let's say I

39:22make cupcake content. Like I I know a

39:24lot about making cupcake contents, but I

39:26want to be the next Nick D. Giovani,

39:28right? I want to make food content,

39:29right? First of all, if you're you need

39:31to actually do make good videos. Uh you

39:35actually need to make good videos uh

39:36from the get-go. Like if you if you're

39:38making bad videos, then like it's going

39:40to be hard for people to stick around

39:42because like YouTube people think

39:44YouTube's free. Like it's not free.

39:46People pay with their time. People don't

39:48want to like pay with their time to

39:50watch a bad video. So, first of all, you

39:51actually kind of need to make all right

39:53videos that have some value to people.

39:54Always give value to people, right?

39:56Always, always, always give value to the

39:59audience. Teach them something,

40:00entertain them. You've got to give

40:01value. Then find a niche, right? If I

40:04want to get into food, I'd pick a

40:06subniche of food, which is like

40:07desserts. But then I'd go a step further

40:10and I'd pick a subniche of desserts. So,

40:12I'd pick cakes. And then I'd pick a

40:14subniche of cakes, which is cupcakes.

40:16and they would focus, hyperfocus on that

40:19tiny niche, right, which is now

40:21cupcakes. I am the cupcake guy and I'm

40:23going to make the best cupcake content

40:26on the internet. Once I do that and I

40:28get my little cupcake audience,

40:29obviously it's way easier to like get a

40:32a view like a bunch of viewership on a

40:36really really niche audience. You'd

40:37think it wouldn't be, but like it

40:38actually is because like there's not

40:40that many. Most people are making

40:41content on really really broad uh like

40:44just ideas. So, if you can just make

40:46really good content on an extremely

40:48niche subject, whether it be like a game

40:51or just like you, like I said, like

40:52something like cupcakes, that's what you

40:55want to do for your first like 5 to

40:5710,000 subscribers. Once you get to that

41:00first 5 to 10,000 subscribers, you want

41:02to broaden out a bit right now. And you

41:04want to do something that is a bit

41:05broader, but but something that your

41:07audience would still be interested in.

41:09So, I would then start making videos

41:12about cakes because obviously my cupcake

41:14audience probably likes cakes, but cakes

41:16are a lot more broader. I could probably

41:17get a way more uh like maybe I'm going

41:20from like 10,000 views of a cupcake

41:22video to now I could be going to a

41:24100,000 views for a cake video, right?

41:26The the core audience would still be

41:29interested in this new broader range of

41:32content, but I'm also attracting a whole

41:34new range of people. Then, I'm gonna

41:37still grind. I'm going to make the best

41:39cake channel uh uh on YouTube. And once

41:41I've uh I'm going to make the best cake

41:44content on YouTube. And once I've done

41:45that, once I've got to about 100,000

41:47subscribers, then I'm going to move up

41:49one and go and start making uh a bunch

41:52more content on like desserts, right?

41:54Because that's like another like a group

41:56of people who my core audience who likes

41:58cakes. People who like cakes probably

42:00like desserts, but obviously I'm

42:02bringing in a whole new genre of people

42:04now. And then you just keep doing that

42:07until eventually, you know, you get onto

42:09another niche and another niche and a

42:11like until you just get really broad.

42:12And it's the exact same way I went from

42:15making like videos about gaming setups

42:17to planes. Like I basically hyper

42:20hyperfocused because I wanted to do room

42:22renovations originally because that's

42:24like what me and Frenchie did when like

42:26I was working for him. It's what I've

42:27always done. I've like really early in

42:30my days like doing YouTube, I I used to

42:32love setup videos and stuff. So, I

42:33wanted to do something in that niche,

42:34but I just literally went, "Okay, I want

42:36to do something in tech and gaming and

42:37room renovations. What's a subniche of

42:39that?" A gaming room too broad gaming

42:43setup. Still too bored. How about if I

42:45make videos on really cheap gaming

42:48setups or getting stuff for free? So,

42:49that was my micron. That was that was

42:51like my cupcake, right?

42:53>> And then I went from free gaming setups

42:56to just gaming setup content. Then I

42:58went from like gaming setup to gaming

43:00room. And then I went from like gaming

43:02room to like bedroom because everyone

43:05has a bedroom but not everyone has a

43:06gaming room. But then there's other

43:08things that you can get into. So I did

43:10like a travel video where I went

43:12obviously I was doing videos on gaming

43:13setups. So I did like uh a gaming like I

43:17went to like an internet cafe in Korea

43:19and obviously that that brought in a

43:22whole new travel audience but also my

43:24gaming setup audience liked it. So, I'm

43:26bringing in this travel audience now and

43:28I'm I'm like, "Okay, well, I've got

43:30travel people now and I've got people

43:31like gaming. What can I do to combine

43:33the two?" And it's like, "Oh, gaming

43:35hotel." And obviously, there's more

43:37people who know about hotels than

43:40internet cafe. So, that brought in

43:41another another audience. So, now I've

43:43got like a travel audience and like a

43:45gaming audience. And obviously, the next

43:47thing to do from there was gaming on a

43:49plane. And then that's how you go from

43:52basically getting like a really really

43:54micro niche to making like 30 mil view

43:57content. That's the exact process I

44:00would do. Pick a micro niche and just

44:02expand upon it like until and and and

44:05until you're at like a really really

44:07broad uh like genre of content.

44:09>> That was a clear explanation, clear step

44:12by step and you've proven it with your

44:15own channel. So guys,

44:17>> yeah, I do it with other channels as

44:18well. Like I have a friend Adam who's

44:20like currently making like he wants to

44:21make gaming content but like I was like

44:24you can't just make gaming content. Pick

44:26a game. Pick like a like a a system. And

44:30he was like well I really like Nintendo.

44:32I was like right pick the Switch. You're

44:35only going to make Switch content from

44:36now on. And now he he does that and now

44:39he's he's gone from something to near

44:42he'll be honestly doing YouTube

44:44full-time soon. Like ju just from that

44:47method just from like I I guess it's

44:48called stairstepping like I don't know

44:51that's a cra that's that's literally the

44:52method I would I would use if I started

44:54YouTube like with nothing tomorrow like

44:57if I had to go grow a channel from

44:58nothing to something exact method

45:00>> the dream possible guys

45:01>> anyone can do YouTube don't let anyone

45:03tell you that you can't do YouTube it's

45:04it's 100% possible

What's next

45:06>> imagine YouTube as a stock market and

45:08channels and individual stocks what

45:10channel would you invest in and why

45:12>> I thought about this answer there's so

45:14many good channels that I like, but like

45:16based on like how good of a return I'm

45:18going to get or just whose content I

45:20like the most.

45:21>> Probably I would go with return because

45:22it's way more interesting that way.

45:24>> Free. Okay. Well, first of all, I know

45:27this is a boring answer. I'm backing

45:28myself if I'm allowed to do that.

45:30>> Yeah, you can do that.

45:30>> Like I genuinely think I I yours

45:34>> I want to be one of the biggest channels

45:35in the like in the UK at some point.

45:38Like I I want to go crazy. So I back

45:40myself.

45:41>> You're definitely hitting 10 mil and

45:42you're coming back here.

45:43>> I'd love to hit 10 mil. Honestly, that's

45:45that's hitting a mill was a dream, but

45:4610 is crazy. But I I I fully believe I

45:49can do it. Second channel I think has

45:52crazy like 100 mil potential gain and

45:55he's got like 10 mil right now is a guy

45:57called Foot Crunch. He makes like uh

45:59football content or soccer content for

46:02uh for us viewers. Then let's pick a

46:04person whose just channel I like. I just

46:07like Ryan Treyan's videos. I think he's

46:08got great potential. But then there's so

46:10many other people who I love content

46:11like whose channel I love. like it's so

46:14hard. But yeah, I'm going to say Ryan or

46:17Yeah, there's so many. But I'd say Ryan

46:19Trey. I I really love his content.

46:21>> What is your next like broader way to

46:24get people in? Because you have the

46:26personality.

46:27>> I don't know. I don't think I I have too

46:29much personality. I like I I'm trying to

46:31keep it like I don't know. I don't think

46:34I've ever had too much of a personality,

46:35but if you think that that's great. Um,

46:38but mostly I think my ideas I'm trying

46:40to just think of new concepts that are

46:42like that can be merged with gaming. I

46:45think honestly for example I I don't

46:47know like Ryan Treyan did uh I tried

46:50like every train seat. I'd probably I'm

46:52thinking about doing that at some point

46:54because it basically will be a sequel to

46:56the the uh the plane video, but like

46:58again I'll try and make it my own thing

46:59and put my spin on it which will be a

47:01for it'll be like a video for gamers.

47:03But there's just so many concepts I

47:04could do. I would love to buy a house,

47:07like a really old house, and renovate it

47:09to like like a make it a crazy house.

47:12I've got some

47:12>> That is broader. That is broader. You

47:14should

47:15>> Yeah, that's that's a lot of So, I'm

47:17thinking about like doing like a like uh

47:19this is a video coming out for the

47:20future. I've got like a bunch of Call of

47:22Duty players and I've put them in

47:24challenges against uh the military.

47:26>> Oh, okay.

47:27>> So, that's like Yeah. So, like maybe

47:29just combining like uh tech and gaming

47:32with the real world. I think that's how

47:33I'll like broaden out a bit more is I'll

47:36just go into like the sort of tech space

47:37because right now I'm in the sort of

47:39gaming genre and travel. I'd love to do

47:42some more tech stuff because that's like

47:44really really niche then. But I don't

47:46know. I I just want to make videos that

47:47like my mom could watch and also like my

47:50core audience could watch. They're like

47:51my two people who I tried to hit because

47:53then everyone can watch them and and

47:54hopefully enjoy them.

47:56>> Well, Dantic, Daniel, thanks for coming

47:58on the one of 10 pod. I I've wanted to

48:01share all this information for such a

48:02long time to just well I would have

48:04killed for a lot of this information

48:06like you know while having a small

48:08channel thank you so much for uh for

48:10bringing me on and allowing me to to

48:11share. I really appreciate it. Oh guys

48:13make sure you subscribe to the one out

48:1410 podcast. Honestly you will learn so

48:17much and I know these guys will have a

48:19lot more podcast to come with incredible

48:21people on there with a lot of knowledge
