Intro

0:00Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.

0:21Welcome in. Good morning, everybody. What a Monday night. What a football game. That was quite the game. It was very bizarre.

0:41It was a very bizarre football game. 37-34.

MNF Recap

0:45It's funny because in the first half, it's like, oh, wasn't this game 54 and a half points? It's like supposed to be a high scoring game because it's like late. You know, I think we're going into the second half or something, 7-13. Like the defensive slugfest it felt like. Yeah. Josh Allen completed 12 passes, guys. He also out.

1:06And they scored 37. He outran James Cook. He had 121 rushing yards. It was a crazy, crazy game. The offense was Josh Allen and James Cook running. And then on the other side, 24 targets for Puka Nakua. 24. It could not be more imbalanced of like the leading, the most targets on the Buffalo Bills

1:30that I'm seeing would be Ty Johnson at four. Khalil Shakir had three. And then tight end superstar from weeks one and two. Oh, yeah. Dalton Kikade. I remember him. Ran 82% of the routes. Bet you wish you started Kyle Pitts this week, Mike. But, yeah, that would have been more points than one catch for seven yards.

1:52Yeah. I mean, Mike is obviously. What do you do with this? We'll talk about it. I mean, it's waiver day. We got the Monday Night Football game. Big show. But yesterday was not all Monday Night Football.

Andy’s Hole

2:05No, it was not. We had our event that trended top ten on Twitter. Thank you, Foot Clan. Thank you for participating in Andy's Hole. Hashtag Andy's Hole, which got up to top ten. We were number nine in the United States of America. That was a good time on X. Yeah, we headed out at about, I don't know, I started at like 1045 yesterday morning

2:28on this very easy task of hitting a hole in one. So easy. And, you know, people don't know really what happened. They were following along. It was rain. It was torrential downpour at one point. That made it harder. And this dog, this absolute dog was out there just swinging in the rain. We're all under canopies. I was hiding as much as I could.

2:49Oh, I don't want to be wet. No. He's soaking wet out there. What is rain? Swing. And you swung for basically ten hours. Yeah. Thousands. Two thousand, over 2,300 shots. Yeah, basically 2,400 shots. Body no longer working. How's your hand? A couple blisters. They feel broken. They feel broken. My left thumb is numb. It's still like just numb.

3:10I want to show, we're going to show the YouTube audience. Go to YouTube, youtube.com slash the fantasy footballers. This is Andy at the end of the night. Yeah. The last shot. Yeah. A lot of close calls. Oh, you golfed absolutely. You blew my mind. You were golfing so well that we were really upset on the green. We're like, this guy sucks.

3:30And in the nicest way. You were putting everything by that hole. But it's hard to get in hashtag. It is. Yeah. The, um, it was, uh. It's very small. It was a, it was a difficult trial to try to shoot that many shots. And for those that have asked, I saw on Twitter, it was about 130 yards out.

3:50And, um, anyways, we got, we have a clip. Yeah. Here's Andy at the end of the night. His, his couple final swings. Look at this man. But I'm done. I don't think I got it left. My left ankle has started hurting for no reason. The amount of shots he had that have skipped one in the hole. Come on.

4:13Come on. Come on. Come on. Yeah. We are watching his hole in one. Did he got at the end of the night on the 2,399 shot? It was unbelievable. He's a king.

4:34A king among men. Unreal. I still don't believe it. You have to go watch this. We realize this is terrible podcast audio.

4:55So please go to YouTube if you want to see this video. Also, if you couldn't tell, they went in the hole. Yeah. Oh yeah. Hold on. Andy Paul. You're the greatest man of mine. I do have the official. Oh, it's all marked up. Hole in one. 10-12. Unbelievable. 20-26.

5:16We are going to be putting together a full video of the day. I cannot believe it. It was worth it. The stories. The journey. You want to see this video. The journey. You want to see this video. So check that out. Make sure you subscribe. I know we're a fantasy football show. But this is a moment. This is 2.5.

5:33You made a hole in one when you said you could after 2,400 shots. It's an achievement of mankind. Well, and shout out to the crew who kept me positive despite the body breaking down over 10 hours and 2,399 shots. I still, to this moment. I can't freaking believe you did it. Do not believe that that ball went in the hill.

5:54I didn't believe it until Mike ran all the way down the hill and he looked into the hole. I had to make sure there was no shenanigans. And the ball was there. We had to beg this dog to stop and take five-minute breaks here and there and get some electrolytes. And I don't think he rested more than 20 minutes over the whole 10 hours combined.

6:15I had one bathroom break, which probably meant I wasn't drinking enough. But we got it done. So, yeah, enjoy the video. Matt's going to put something fun together to show the highlights of that day. But, my goodness, what a Monday night. And we were watching the Monday night football game. Mike was given play-by-play.

6:36The night was magical. So, there you go. We had to reveal that because I wasn't going to keep that in. No. There was no way I wasn't going to tell what happened after the end of the night. After you made a hole-in-one? After the hole-in-one. Unbelievable. Well, a hole in 2,399. This isn't a Marvin Harrison trade here.

6:55We've got to talk about it. Oh, wow. We haven't even talked about it. Yeah, we did. We did yesterday. I don't remember that guy. But we will transition back to football here. You can go watch what happened. YouTube.com slash the fantasy footballers. Let's get into some news.

NFL News

7:11News and notes from around the league. All right. Patriots running back Travion Henderson officially diagnosed with a high ankle sprain. He's going to be sidelined multiple weeks. Oh, it's okay. They call him a fast healer. Is that really what they said?

7:32Yeah. The healing speed of Travion. I mean, it's legendary. It's legendary. Might as well be Wolverine. He's probably good to go right now. Also, currently injured high ankle sprain and probably won't play for a couple weeks. But he won't need surgery. There you go. Ramondre suddenly hyper relevant again after a decent week.

7:52Brown signed Odrick Estame from the Vikings practice squad with the Judkins injury. Day to day with an ankle. Judkins. Oh, yeah. Judkins. I'm sorry. Day to day with an ankle injury. Their backfield is just depleted at the moment. Raheem Sanders is hurt. Yes, he is. So, Julian McLaughlin and Odrick Estame. Yeah, we're going to be talking about Julian McLaughlin as a waiver wire pickup.

8:13And he's perhaps an important one. Because, and look, he's on the Cleveland Browns, everybody. You may not know that. Yeah. Yeah, he made one play this year. David Montgomery week to week with a groin injury. Texans have a bye in week eight. I mean, Montgomery going away and the acquisition of Marvin Harrison Jr. Like, this is going to be a pass first, second, and third team.

8:37It's going to be tough for Montgomery, I think. Because to my eyeballs, Woody Marks has been the better running back over the course of the year. And now that it's like, okay, we have to give Woody Marks everything. If Woody has a couple good games, I think the backfield can flip. Devontae Smith with the hamstring has a, quote, shot to return for week six's game against

9:01the Panthers. Okay. So, he might be back. That would be good. Deebo Samuel will miss at least a couple weeks with a hamstring injury. Brandon Cooks is the, quote, next man up in the 49ers receiver room. Just playing the hits over there. I think he had one catch. It was a touchdown. The Falcons are optimistic that Michael Pennix will be able to play in week six against the

9:21Bears. There's also talk of Caleb playing in that game. Did you see the clip? I don't know the, I haven't dug into the context of it, but in the huddle right before the game losing turnover, Bijan's like tapping Tua. He's like turning Tua around and pointing to the sideline like, no, no, no. You're not, like sub him out.

9:42It was crazy. It was, I don't know what happened, but he definitely turns him around and points to the sideline like, wait, wait, wait. Tua's, Tua. It's like, what? That is so brutal. When the whole team just knows. Yeah. And then you go out and throw the pick. And he gets, he still gets to be the backup.

9:57Oh, no. For now. Yeah. AJ Brown. There's hope. Mike Rabel says that there is a chance he practices this week. Okay. But it could be good. I mean, Drake May looking much improved. I think AJ Brown will be a league winner in the fantasy playoffs. I don't know how fast he'll get off to, you know, when he gets back, is he going to have

10:21a couple weeks where it's a slow start? That's possible. But I do think come the end of the year, Drake May has looked back to being what we hoped Drake May would be. And he still needs a weapon like AJ Brown. What is this news on Tyler Shuck coming through right now? There it is. Kellen Moore was asked directly.

10:39This is from Jeff Nowak. Yeah. Asked directly whether Tyler Shuck's hand is broken. Quote, it got banged two weeks ago and he's just wearing some protective layers. Because if you saw Shuck's non-throwing hand, he's got the fingers taped together. And I mean, when it happened, you know, it's the, his hand took a pretty big shot.

11:00But I guess they're just saying, yeah, he's fine. He'll play through. Circling back to the AJ Brown thing, I will say I completely agree with you that there is a pretty good probability of AJ Brown being a league winning difference maker. And I am very terrified to make a trade for him right now.

11:20Sure. It's like. You're still taking on a bunch of risk. Yeah. It's like the injury risk than the Drake May, like, you know, Jekyll and Hyde potential and, you know, more injuries. And I don't know. Like, I think that is true, but it would depend on the price for me. And if somebody wants to get rid of him, I think it might be harder now with the news

11:40of practicing and Drake May playing well. But yeah. Any other news we got? Did you guys hear about I made a hole in one? I did. I did. I realized that my even reaction on this show is kind of muted because I'm more tired than I realized. I'm pretty dang. Like the adrenaline dropped just now.

12:00If that ball did not drop in the hole, I think we're doing a two-man show with Jay Grizz. I mean, it really, all of the pain is now worth it. So you guys ready for the waiver wire? Let's go.

Week 6 Waiver Wire

12:15Waiver Wire presented by T-Mobile. All righty. We are getting the Chiefs and Panthers back from the bye. Welcome back, Ken Bonewalker. Oh, my sweet. And Tat McMillan. My sweet, sweet Ken Walker. This week, though, Burrow and Chase and Higgins, the Bengals on the bye.

12:38Ollie Gordon and the Dolphins. You don't have the Lions. Jameer Gibbs goes to the bye. Amon Ra, Laporta, all those guys. Goff has been playing well. And then the Vikings also on bye this week. Between the injuries and the bye weeks, there's significant decisions to be made for every team.

12:59Most people are not putting out the roster they drafted. They're putting out some other players. We've got some big names to talk about on the waiver wire. So let's get into it with the running back position.

RB Waivers

13:12Trying to keep these two, you know, lower rostered names. But the two at the very top that are starters, Marshawn Lloyd, Woody Marks. Woody Marks is going to be taking over for a while. And Marshawn Lloyd finally showed a little something. Maybe when every pass you throw down field works, that defense is less inclined to try to stop you.

13:34But Marshawn Lloyd did put his shoulder down. He did. Went through a defender, scored later in the game. It was an impressive performance. And you get Dallas this week. Yeah. I'm wondering, where are you guys with these two? Because Lloyd scored two touchdowns. And the play was, I mean, that's the good stuff for football is when someone absolutely gets truck sticked.

13:57But he was 10 for 31 on the day. Like this was not a, all of a sudden, oh, Marshawn Lloyd figured it out. We got the running game done. No, he was a beneficiary of a couple. Yeah, their offense was really clicking, especially with the Jordan Love saying, hey, check this out. And then he just bombs it downfield to Christian Watson.

14:16But, you know, he's available in about 55. Close enough. Close enough. I guess he's rostered in that. So it's less than that. But, like, Woody Marks, probably the better player. But his might be temporary. And he's going up against Jacksonville this week. Yeah, I think this is a matter of do you need to start this player?

14:39Do you have Jameer Gibbs on by and you need to pick someone up to start this week? Because if I was starting someone, I would rather start Marshawn Lloyd against the Cowboys than Woody Marks against Jacksonville. Longer term, I actually, you know, Mike, you just said it. If Woody Marks gets the opportunity and does perform well, there is a world where he could usurp David Montgomery.

14:59Now, I don't think that's going to happen. I don't think either of these guys is a great long-term pickup in the sense that you've got a tough matchup this week for Woody Marks, then a game, then a bye week. So it's like you're not really looking at someone that's going to be great right now for the next month.

15:14And then putting your reliance in Marshawn Lloyd, who has looked pretty bad the majority of the year. The touchdown really saved him and he's got a good matchup. I'm not like going out there and dumping massive amounts of fab for either of these guys. I have Lloyd one spot ahead. We have no idea what's going on with Josh Jacobs.

15:33We had confirmation that the Packers have no information. We are approaching that week six. I mean, we're going into week six right now, which is kind of the default starting point for a domestic violence suspension. So he will be missing this week. That will be the six weeks. I don't know if at that point they start asking, the Packers start going, okay, we need to hear something.

15:57Not that they have any control over it. I mean, we just don't know what in the world's going on. Like, is this a, like a, a standstill because the league won't act until it has the video and Jacobs won't provide the video. And they're trying to, and they're trying to basically force Jacobs to show the video at some point in time or the NFL PA gets involved.

16:18We have not heard any news in a while. I know Al Borland, a resident Packer fan here has been befuddled by the entire, right. I mean, you've just been like, what in the world's happening? Yeah, absolutely. And it's not just, not just because I'm a Packer fan, but as a person that needs running back help on my team, I want to trade for Josh Jacobs, but I can't do it until I know.

16:37It's just, yeah. So starter wise, you might also see Damian Pierce starting this week against Carolina because Shipley and Tank Bigsby are on IR. Saquon's still questionable. Damian Pierce is almost available everywhere. Not in our league. Not in our league. I know Mike's got him. Um, Kendra Miller, what did he do last week?

16:5910 for 30 and a score. Yeah, he looked okay. Uh, Camara was not great. Would you rather play, Jay, would you rather play Damian Pierce? But that's, it's an unknown. Like, cause Saquon was week to week with the hamstring. I would say he probably misses, but there's, you know, let's just assume that he's out.

17:19Are you, would you rather play Damian Pierce against Carolina or Woody Marks against Jacksonville? Oh man, that's really tough. Carolina is such a bad team against the run specifically, but the offensive line injuries for the Eagles. Jacksonville is the team that absolutely shut down Philadelphia's run game.

17:39Like Damian Pierce was 11 for 14, but it wasn't all just a Pierce issue. I mean, a lot of it is, but Jacksonville is just, they are, they're very, very solid. Like right now they're number two, as in like they are the second worst matchup for running backs. Yeah. I think I lean Pierce over Woody Marks.

18:00You, you also could throw out Kendra Miller. I mean, this is why I'm not dumping fab on like I, there is an avenue here where you go, Hey, Marshawn Lloyd is a great start this week. Maybe he is, um, you know, he, he was 10 for 31. I will say this 26 snaps in the first three quarters, zero to Caleb Johnson.

18:20They, they beat the tar out of the bears. The fourth quarter is when Caleb Johnson came in and got nine. Yeah. So like it was Marshawn Lloyd and, and there was clarity to who like, Lloyd and pure strong. Yeah. Uh, but still vast majority to, to Lloyd. You might look at the snaps and go, Oh, at the end of the game, he was lower or whatever,

18:37but that was not how the game was playing out when they were in the game. If Lloyd was available on waivers in your league, which he is in, in about half of leagues, I'll ask Al Borland this just cause you were talking about running back depth. There's a chance Lloyd of all these names that we mentioned is the running back for the rest

18:53of the season for the Packers. What kind of fab would you be willing to drop out as somebody who's in the trenches fighting for running backs? If Marshawn Lloyd was sitting there, how much of your a hundred dollar fab budget would you pay to put them on your team? I think I'd go about 50. Yeah. I think, I think Lloyd is the one that he's already on my team and he's my RB one.

19:15Yeah. I said, like a Packers fan and a hundred percent of that dropping 50. He's already on your team. He's your RB one. If I would, I'd probably drop 40 to 50 if I didn't have a running back or my running back was knocked out just because I think Lloyd has the highest odds of these players. Like Monty will come back at some point.

19:34Saquon might be back this week. Kendrick Miller has to deal with the return of HN plus Camara. Brian Robinson Jr. That's a backup player like Roshan. What in the world happened with Mike Washington Jr. This week? Yeah. That was bizarre. I mean, Jinty was, Jinty was so hurt. It was Dylan Laube. Dylan Laube. And I was like, is he hurt?

19:53Like he had one opportunity, one snap. And Ashton Jinty is like, Jinty's clearly hurt. He does not look anything remotely. Really hurt. Like we, and it's just, this is how it's going to be for the Raiders and Ashton Jinty. And you just got to hope that he keeps getting all those check downs because on the ground, Ashton Jinty right now is a disaster.

20:12Will Shipley just went down for multiple weeks due to what? A torn plantar fascia, which by the way, I think sometimes is the better path. The healing on that injury. I remember that in the past with like Eli. That's what's on the table for Jinty. He's dealing with plantar fasciitis on top of the ankle injury. If he tears it, it will be a multi-week absence.

20:34That makes Jinty really trepidatious. Yeah. He's really, everything is just pure volume for him at this point. I mean, like still good in the receiving game, but on the ground, like he's at 3.3 yards per carry on the season. Yeah. That's kind of been the story with him the last two years.

20:55Julio McLaughlin could have an opportunity in Cleveland. They play Baltimore. Baltimore has been good against the run. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I like it. That's a Sarah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Sarah McLaughlin available. Goodness gracious. Keaton Mitchell, Emmitt Johnson, if you want to, you know, Emmitt needs to be on a roster.

21:15It is the season that you can cycle them, you can stash your favorite, but if you have spots on your bench right now where you're just like, eh, you have, I don't know, I have this low tier wide receiver who it's like nothing's happening for them. There's no momentum. Start putting insurance running backs on, on your bench, follow injuries.

21:37Uh, it's like, and it's like, find the backup to the backup as well. Like Damien, I put, I threw Damien Pierce on my bench over this weekend in league of record because it's, it's down to Will Shipley and Damien Pierce. Yeah. You, you always want, and then if you have an extra spot, you want to take the shots on

21:55those backups, Emmitt Johnson and Kalen Black, those two guys are available in the majority of leagues. Silly. Which is crazy. I mean, the bi-week for Kansas city might've led to the number for him. So, but those two guys must be rostered in all situations. And then there's also, um, and Roshon. Roshon absolutely due to the Monung guy.

22:14We know he's going to miss a couple of weeks. Um, there's also a running back out there playing the majority of snaps who had nine receptions this week that you still don't want to pick up, which is Tajay Spears. Nine receptions. Yeah. The Titans. Did you see, I mean, if you look at the first 21 games of Will Levis's career in Cam

22:33Ward's, Will's, Will Levis wins almost every category. More wins, better numbers. The Titans have scored 20 points one time this year. Right now you're basically targeting. 10, 7, 3. You're targeting teams, defenses playing Miami, playing the Titans. Um, it's wild.

22:54Chargers. Chargers. I mean, you're not wrong. No. And maybe Denver. Maybe. And the Giants. But that's not, that's because. And Tampa right now with Jalon Danielson. But, um, we'll take a break and we'll get into the rest of the positions here as we talk waivers heading into week six.

23:17This episode of the Fantasy Footballers Podcast is brought to you by Monopoly at McDonald's. Monopoly at McDonald's is back and you could win big this year. 24:23Chance card game ends November 8th. Game ends November 22nd, 2026. See rules for prize details. Monopoly is a registered trademark of Hasbro. By the way, I was glancing like I have Bucky Irving, right? He's on my team. And I was like, well, this is good advice here on the show.

24:44Maybe I should just take a look at Kenny Gainwell and see if he's sitting out there. He shouldn't be on a roster. But lo and behold. He's my RB2. Yes. Al Borland. That's what I saw. Al Borland has Kenny Gainwell. How's that been working out for you? What's his performances? He's not actually my RB2. Okay.

25:04He is on your roster. I think he was in my starting lineup this week. He has two points, three points, two points, nine points, seven, and four. RB48. My team's hanging in there. Gainwell has looked nothing like Gainwell last year in any way. He's been the least efficient runner that I can imagine. I mean, he was, golly, he's 2.6 on the year.

25:26And you're like, well, he catches the ball, right? He's got 11 catches in five games. It's weird. So only a guy like Al would have him on a team. They gave him decent money, too. I mean, I'm sitting there going, like, if I was trying to insure Bucky Irving, it's probably Sean Tucker. Might be. The way things are right now.

25:43All right. Let's talk about the very important wide receiver position here. And a guy that we all have in the top three of our waiver rankings. This is my number one pickup of the week. It's Jeremy Bernard of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

WR Waivers

25:57Second round rookie. Yes. I mean, he has had, like, flashes. He had eight targets in week two. Four for 35 in that game. But this past week, nine targets, six catches, 80 yards. I believe the quote from someone on the team was like, football just comes easy for him. And you no longer have Michael Pittman, who's on IR.

26:18You no longer have Roman Wilson, who's hurt. You know, they don't have Kenny Gainwell anymore. Aaron Rodgers' favorite target. But so Jeremy Bernard, when you have a rookie that has upside and potential, to me, this is, I don't blame you if he's number one on your list at all. It's all positional preference. Like, what do you need most?

26:36I think I have a couple running backs ahead of him because I think those are more rare. But Jeremy Bernard, like, I think he'll be highly contested on the waiver wire this week, Jay, and six for 80 opportunities. Metcalf is just a wet fart of a wide receiver anymore. He is, man. I like... I have Metcalf. Who would you start next week?

26:56The process would say you still start Metcalf, but... But who... What does your heart say? And some other... Like, just everything in me would not want to watch DK Metcalf anymore. Germey. Germey. Leave Jeremy alone. Yeah.

27:16His name is spelled with a G, if you don't know. It is. I know, but you might be going out there, like, searching on the waiver wire, like, where's this Jeremy Bernard I'm hearing about? G-E-R-M-I-E. G-E-R-M-I-E. But he's a good prospect. I didn't think... My notes on him were plays the entire field and seems very reliable. An NFL wide receiver, for sure.

27:36Maybe not a fantasy star, but he's good and he's getting the opportunity. And they need him right now. So, yeah, I think he's a good pickup. He's not necessarily my number one pickup. If I'm looking at a start... Well, because of Rodgers, it's only production right now. It's not good.

27:57Just good numbers. Right. No, I mean, for me, it's just a matter of, like, depending on what you need, other positions, who might be available. There's a quarterback available in, like, 40% of leagues, which is mind-blowing, that should be picked up immediately. And then I still think Dontavian Wicks is a very good pickup.

28:18He's been on the field. He's been getting the targets. He's proven over and over that he's, you know, able to go out there and put up a bomb touchdown or 70-plus yards, get enough targets. And so I'd rather have the Steelers offense than the Eagles offense right now. So that's where, if you want to lean Jeremy. Well, we have another update.

28:36No, look. We need to figure this out. Yeah, I don't... Oh, this is from a parody account. Let's be honest with the people. There are multiple places that say that he, the name is pronounced Jeremy. Yes. So not Jeremy. Not three syllables. Jeremy. Two. Nick Farabaugh, who is a Steelers beat reporter.

28:58Jeremy. Which is how I was pronouncing it. Like, wash your hands, because you want to get the Jeremys off. Yes. Right. Jeremy Bernard is how I have always pronounced it. But then we were told by some places that it's Jeremy. Yeah. That's why I call him Germy. But that... If you spell your name Germy... It's not spelled Germy.

29:18It's spelled Jeremy. Yeah. Okay. So Jeremy... Well, Jeremy it is. Now we sound... Hey, Jay. Jay. Pronounce this word. G-E-R-M. G-E-R-M. Germ. Thank you. Yeah. I got you. Point proven. Yeah. Yeah. Goodness gracious. So Jeremy Bernard. I'm going back to Jeremy.

29:41Jeremy Bernard. Huge pickup. I think Kendrick Bourne is a huge pickup. I agree with that. Because he had eight targets this past week. And in the absence of Marvin Harrison, he had already had some productive games. Arizona passes a million times a game because they have no running game. And look, eight targets. You can't ignore that.

30:01You're going to have the Arizona Cardinals in high over-unders every single week. Their defense is abysmal. I mean, they have given up 45 points, 36 points, 36 points, 31 points in a row. So, yeah. You want a wide receiver who's going to be on the field getting targets. I like that a lot. So, to me...

30:21Bourne's my number two wide receiver this week. Yeah. I think that is a huge pickup. And then some other names to remember. I mean, Dontavian Wicks has just been 50% rostered all year and will stay there. He always has the potential to have a nice game. He did have eight targets this past week. We just talked about Devontae Smith returning.

30:39Also, Goddard's back. And you saw how frequently Goddard was targeted in this offense. I still am kind of lukewarm on Wicks, Jason. Sure. I know you are a little more bullish. Maybe just the opportunity every week, a starting wide receiver. I get that. But what about Darius Cooper, who's... Dude. Darius Cooper just went two for 71, scored another touchdown.

31:02How does he keep doing it? I don't know. I mean, I... You just... You can't project a guy... He played the most snaps of any wide receiver. He has seven catches on the year. And he has four touchdowns. Seven catches... I mean, how do you not start him, right? No, but yeah. Seven catches on the season is tough.

31:20I would... You know, I think the entire season, Dontavian Wicks is going to continue having his role. He's going to be on the field. He's going to get deep shots. So, he's like... Man, I... Jeremy is a player who we hope could break out and be better. If Devontae Smith is back, then Cooper's going to lose snaps.

31:39Yes, he will. But the last two weeks without him, 90% and 85% led the team in snaps last week. And you get the unknown rookie upside situation. But I agree. Like, ultimately, the depth chart is going to say Dontavian Wicks next to Devontae Smith. So, that probably makes sense. It's just always interesting when a rookie starts to have success.

32:00And so, something to pay attention to. Jordan Tyson, what is your thought process with Jordan Tyson? I mean, he's probably rostered in your league. Probably on an IR spot. I'm seeing about 65%. And we did get the word... At least the report was that Tyson won't practice this week either. I'm just so... I'm still not convinced that there will be...

32:22Like, I feel like he could just be a roster clog. He absolutely could be. He absolutely could be. He definitely could be. It's just the fact of he's... Where was he drafted? Top 10? Number 8. The number 8 overall pick. Who we don't know. Who was our number 1 wide receiver ahead of Carnell Tate. Yeah, yeah. I mean, he should.

32:39He's an unbelievably talented wide receiver. And in the short stretch where he was healthy for the Saints, you know, because he missed the beginning of camp, they drafted him knowing he was injured, and then he comes back, and we're just seeing highlight reel after highlight reel. Him mossing these guys and breaking the ankles. It just looked like...

32:57I was like, oh my gosh, I have to have him on my team. And then he re-aggravates the hamstring that he's dealt with forever. So it definitely could be a roster clog. He could very well come back finally after you roster him for the next three weeks and then re-injure the hamstring. He could be worthless. But I don't think there's a lot of people...

33:15If you play fantasy for upside, I don't think there's a lot of people on the waiver wire who's like, there's a world where he comes back, and him and Olave are just dominating. Shuck and the offense that plays fast, and all of a sudden you've got a top 15 wide receiver. That's just not usually in the cards.

33:30Yeah, that's interesting, because I think the one real variable there is it's like, I might not see the path today, but if Vele or Olave got hurt at any point, when you're the eighth pick overall, you have the chance to come in and dominate. Other players don't. I've been impressed with Ryan Flannoy of the Cowboys so far this year.

33:50Plus the CeeDee Lamb quad injury, which we were told at the time of the game, it was nothing to worry about, but I haven't heard any updates about CeeDee Lamb. And if Lamb misses, then Flannoy becomes a very interesting play. He was on 71% of the routes. He is close to a full-time player. He's just the wide receiver three.

34:10I have a few thoughts here. I'm curious your opinion. One, when I go in and I look at waiver wire pickups, I'm oftentimes going into the week five stats, who's on the waiver wire, and sorting by targets and receptions. It stood out to me that Keenan Allen had nine targets last week on the return. So if you are looking for the potential performance

34:33of a player, targets go a long way. Keenan Allen out-targeted. Josh Downs, which is annoying, but it happened. He had nine targets his last game before going down to Andrew as well. It's not going to be like... The nine targets doesn't lead to 115 yards, at least 45 yards.

34:53But that stands out to me. By the way, it's another good moment to remind people. As we walk through these players and discuss the context and potential for them, we have waiver rankings as part of jointhefoot.com. We have custom waiver rankings just to who's... All of these players, how we rank them, and who's only available in your league,

35:14those are all available in the Ultimate Dashboard. So you'll be able to import all your teams and see custom waiver rankings where the guys that are already rostered are not part of those rankings. So you can... And it's a custom scoring system. But you can go take a look at that. I'm kind of done with Trey Harris,

35:30and I'm kind of not chasing Demario Douglas. That's fine. Honestly, I think Efton Chisholm is a player that I would rather chase. He... I mean, he played 76% of snaps, ran 74% of the routes, and that was coming off of a 13-target game. And this is the wide receiver for the New England Patriots, second-year wide receiver,

35:51who is finding his way into that role that has been like, you know, the Edelman-West Welker could be a highly targeted role. What we wondered if Dobbs was going to inherit, he's not playing that role. So it's at least worth paying attention to a guy who, you know, has had 18 targets the last two weeks on what could be a good...

36:1019 targets on what could be a good offense. And Antonio Williams, I don't think we mentioned him yet, the rookie for Washington. He was so disappointing. It was. And I get going after him still, but he plays against the Niners, who have just been the best team in the NFL, and then goes to a bye week. So it's a hard pickup for me.

36:30At tight end,

TE Waivers

36:31I think there are two super interesting names. Brenton Strange, Pat Fryermuth, both for different reasons. I mean, Brenton Strange, they have been involving him more and more and more. Double digits the last couple of weeks. Seven for 68 is awesome. One of the tackles was right by the goal line. And then the Muth got Luth. Two touchdowns.

36:52All the reasons we like Jeremy Bernard's potential are, you know, that's there for Fryermuth. Trust of Aaron Rodgers. You don't have those other pass catchers. Metcalf sucks. There's lots of reasons to like Fryermuth this week. I don't think it's going to cost you much to get Strange or Fryermuth. And I bet you Mike is looking at both of these guys

37:12after three weeks of Dalton Kinkade farts. Yeah. Aaron Rodgers talked up Fryermuth's camp all the beginning of the year, as much as he was talking down Michael Pittman, he was saying the best camp was, he was just talking about how good Fryermuth and Roman Wilson were this camp. And so if you want a guy, we saw it, right?

37:33He trusted Kenny Gainwell last year and then he threw it to him a ton. And I think Fryermuth is a fine pickup. And also Darren Waller off of bye. So that's in the rear view mirror. You don't have to deal with a bye week going forward. You know, he's been used around the goal line, had a couple big performances.

37:51And, you know, if Bryce Young is balling out, he could do worse. I want to put Mike on the spot as a quick detour question right here. Okay. Because the bye weeks are happening. Ken Walker is now through his bye. Oh, this question. So this question popped up and I thought it was a great one. Oh, I can't wait to hear Mike answer it.

38:09So would you trade B. John Robinson away, who has not yet had his bye, to get Ken, Bone, Walker, who has had his bye? Would you make that trade? And I feel like these two guys have been kind of interlinked on the trading talk. Sure. For a while. Obviously, the Falcons with Pinnix

38:30have looked very good. But, I mean, Ken Walker is setting a new standard. Yeah. It's pretty tough here to figure this out. I'm trying to look at schedules. I mean, you do. I mean, in essence, you get one. You do. You get a bonus game. You get an extra game of the guy who is outscoring B. John

38:52by like three and a half fantasy points a week so far. Yeah. I went and looked at the game logs for B. John. He's awesome. Yes. Then I went and looked at them for Ken Walker. And they're out of this world. Yeah. So, honestly, between the two of those guys, we're very early. We're through five weeks. I'm looking at weeks 15 through 17.

39:13I know. For those two players in particular. What are they? But I already know them. I already know week 16. I looked at this. B. John is Washington. Tampa, right? In week 16. B. John is Washington, Tampa, New Orleans. Yeah. So, that's not bad. That's not bad. And then Ken Walker is Patriots, San Francisco, Chargers.

39:34Those are worse. That's worse. That is worse. That's worse. But you get. But you get an extra game to get to the playoffs. And obviously, I don't know if those matchups are overwhelming. Like, if you threw Minnesota. Oh, come on. It's so good. If you throw. I know, dude. I look. Oh, my gosh. I look because I always

39:51stink about this trade with you and me. Because you are the Ken Bone man. Yes. And I'm looking at it. And I just don't ever know what I would do if you had the guts to send that to me. Yeah. I don't know what I would. I don't know what I would do. I see B. John's jersey

40:07up over my shoulder. B. John has. By the way, they gave me the stick. Yeah. They gave me the flag stick and the flag for the hole-in-one over there at grass clipping. So, you just have to. Shout out. You just have to shoot the ball 2,400 times. That's it. And you get a free stick. And destroy the game.

40:22And pay them tons of money to rent it and everything. But B. John is like B. John's like 40 yards. 40 rushing yards ahead of Kenneth Walker with an extra game. Yeah. No, I think I would take the Ken Walker side. It's an interesting conversation. I think the biggest fear to me is just we've seen Kenneth Walker injured

40:45plenty of times in his career and B. John is, you know, a young iron man at this point. Either player could get injured. Sure. That's like my only consideration is just I don't think the wheels fall off. You know, I just don't think You have to have Brian Robinson and Kenneth Johnson for these guys. Yes. Regardless. By the way,

41:03Higby, Kyle Pitts, Mayer, the other three names. Higby is a great start this week against the Arizona Cardinals. Oh, yeah. I mean, look at what Laporta did last week. Yeah. He was the start of the week last week and killed it. Everybody. And then you buy into any of the Kyle Pitts resurgence five for 42 got into the end zone.

41:20Or do you just just ignore the player? I think I ignore it. All right. Let's take a break. We'll talk defenses, quarterback streamers as we continue the waiver wire. All right, Foot Clan, whether you are on the go or at home, T-Mobile, well, they're built to keep you connected

41:41wherever you're scouting your fantasy team. And that on-the-go part, that is important. With America's Best Network, you'll be connected to the latest news and player projections so when you're on the clock, you can draft a winning team. I can think of so many situations where that element of being connected while you're on the go is fundamental to fantasy football success.

42:01I'm in the midst of multiple leagues right now where I'm in the midst I am responding to trade offers. We are massaging the trade offer. We want to make sure that I'm the one that gets the player, not another player manager in our league. So trade offers when you're on the go, all the news that's breaking so you don't make a mistake

42:17and my favorite thing, maybe I'll mention it. Look, you're sitting and you have a quiet moment somewhere out and about. You want to jump in the UDK. We got the player profiles. You can watch all of those in there with T-Mobile. You can jump in on the player projections and our stat projections and all the 130,000 words of content.

42:34Again, T-Mobile making that easy to do. Every bit of news, things are changing all the time, new player contracts, all that good stuff. So from off season to game day, every play is better with T-Mobile. What you got to do is visit T-Mobile.com slash network. Fastest is based on analysis by UKLA of speed test intelligence data of national speed score

42:54results for the second half of 2025. The best mobile network in the U.S. is based on analysis by UKLA of speed test intelligence data second half of 2025. What's up, Foot Clan? I have been in the tech and media business for my entire life. I built hundreds and hundreds of websites and so one of the things

43:16that was the fundamental, most important thing about making it official, whether it's a website for our league, which we've done many times, or a website for a business, or a website my son is registering to be able to build his business, it's the domain name. You want to get the domain name, you want to make it official

43:33and Wix makes it ridiculously easy to purchase a domain today and if you've been around this area of the internet for a long time, it's also really appreciated that you can go to Wix, get a domain and you don't have a 12-step funnel with a bunch of add-ons that you have to tack on to your order and they're also

43:54on the forefront of just turning that around and making an amazing website right away. You're talking about the opportunity to use AI, they have this Wix Harmony one prompt, build a site for your company, for your league, for whatever you've got going on, you can make it official by picking up a domain name with Wix and they make it

44:12super simple, you get business email and the website, all of that stuff so you can claim your domain at Wix.com, that's Wix.com. All right,

DST Streamers

44:24defensive options this week, there are a ton of matchups I love. I mean, New England takes on the Jets, New England's defense has been stepping up in a big way, shut down the Raiders who have been moving the ball, Kansas City off the bye against the Chargers, remember Andy Reid's numbers off of bye weeks? Yes. And then combine it

44:40with being at home and then combine it with the Chargers and no, I mean, is that the best start of the week? It might be there. It might be the best defensive start. I mean, the Colts, the Colts are, they get the privilege of playing the Tennessee Titans and they're not going to score a lot of points.

44:58Pittsburgh plays Tampa Bay with Jalon Daniels. I love that start. Baltimore takes on Cleveland. Cleveland takes on Baltimore. If there's no Lamar, both might be viable. San Francisco's defense was out of control last week. San Francisco's defense is only 30% rostered and I know that they've lost all their players, but you just have to give unbelievable mad props

45:19to the Niners and Shanahan. They're, they're getting it done. They're unbelievable. It's just crazy that they've, they've lost all of their players. And I think Shanahan probably would have spiked the ball if he was the head coach of the, you know, Washington Commanders. I have a feeling he would have pulled that off.

45:40So yeah, those are the big names on the defensive side. Did you see the guffaw last night in the coaching? No, what happened last night? Well, I was, I was hitting, yeah, you were, you were hitting a few golf balls at the end of the game to kick the field goal that won the game for, for the bills.

45:56Yeah. They could have taken two knees to have the clock basically run out and then kick the field goal. Oh, and they left time on the clock? They left, they left like tons of time on the clock where if they had missed the field goal. Bring the Madden kid in here, man. You could lose the game so easily.

46:10A random kid on Madden can handle the clock better than these guys. I mean, Nick Sirianni this week. I, I don't blame Sirianni for that one. That was, I mean, that's on your specialty. Yeah, that's on, that's on the specialty. Well, it's funny because when, when the kick happened, it was like, the announcers made it sound like a good decision

46:26because they're like, oh, you gotta, you gotta make him field it so he loses time off the clock. You know what I mean? Because you kick it out of the back of the end zone, you get eight seconds or whatever and maybe that's two plays and, and then after they ran it back 50 yards, they're like, well,

46:39oh wait, no, they don't have a timeout. You should have, you should have, it's a bit of revisionist history. It is. That one, you needed everything to be perfect. Just play special teams. Yeah, just tackle a guy. Everything. Or don't tackle him yet. Yeah, or let it, or let one more second go off of the clock before it was,

46:52everything had to be perfect. I rarely, rarely feel bad for Sirianni. This one, I feel a little bad for him. I mean, there's the rest of the game. You can go and, and see where he messed up. Well, special teams caught the Rams last night. They lost him the game. Oh, McVay was. You're talking about the sub,

47:09the sub 500, uh, super, super team. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. And I, who, who share a city with the, uh, currently Owen two in the, in LCS, uh, Dodgers. Are they really Owen two? I don't follow baseball, but is that true? They are clearly Jason. Who are they playing? Who cares? Super teams had a bad week in LA this week.

47:28And I am here for it. All right. That was the waiver wire presented by T-Mobile. When you're updating your roster right before kickoff, you've got coverage. You can count on just another reason. Game Days are better with T-Mobile. Check it out at T-Mobile.com slash membership. Full stream ahead.

Full Stream Ahead (QB Streamers)

47:47Full stream ahead. I am, you know, I'm going to let you guys go first. Uh, Jason, why don't you start? You're the lowest rostered streamer. Sure. My, my guy is widely available, but I will say this. You're going to have a good time. Well, I'll, yeah, you will have a good time. You'll have a terrible time first.

48:07Yeah. Maybe. Yeah. No, always. It starts with a couple of picks. I'm talking about Jameis Winston. You don't feel a lot like the hole in one challenge. Yeah. You got to stick with it. You got to. And, and I'm also, I'm talking to Matt Nagy as well. You got to stick with it. Okay. Don't pull him because there is always the world where he throws three picks and you,

48:24and you, you pull them for nine or 18 now. Um, and JJ McCarthy out there. But if Jameis plays a whole game, uh, he's going to end up with so many counting stats. That's all he does. He's going to throw for 300 yards. He might throw for three touchdowns. And this is a great matchup against the saints.

48:40Their pace of play. We target these games. Um, I, I love it. That being said, I know that the other two guys are more roster, but specifically Mike, your start of the week is my number one waiver wire pickup overall. Interesting. By a mile. He's rostered in most leagues, but he's still available in what? 37% of leagues.

49:00The next two weeks. He's a, he's a, a week winner. It is Jordan love, AKA Mr. Check this out. Uh, who check this out. I don't know. Did they, did they figure something out? It might've just been the bears. It might've just been the bears. I don't know. Is it a Packers thing? We've had a couple of games against the bears where we thought people figured it out.

49:20The, the Dallas Cowboy game. You're going to want pieces of this. This is it's the Cowboys defense is 31st and EPA per drop back 32nd and drop back success rate. Like this, they're so bad. And based off of the heating up of Jordan love last week, I'm pretty excited to, if I, if I like, I got him on my teams or,

49:40you know, just checking the waiver wire. Cause about, about 40% he's there. The next three weeks, he plays the 26th worst defense for fantasy quarterbacks, the 31st worth defense, uh, worst defense for quarterbacks and the 27th worst defense for quarterbacks for fantasy purposes.

50:00Like you, you're, you're going to have a real nice time throwing the ball. And, uh, Stafford is the QB two for a lot of teams out there. He started in a far fewer leagues than he's rostered in. And so I want to throw Stafford out there as a must start this week against Arizona. I think what's crazy right now is Stafford is averaging like 48 pass attempts a game,

50:21which is wild. And, uh, Arizona, they can, you know, they can find their way into the end zone. A few times, Aaron Donald looking forward to facing the Cardinals this week, uh, got his first sack last night, but, uh, implied point total of 33 this week. I'll throw Stafford in there as a final consideration for you. If there's an opportunity to either get him or just play him over somebody else.

50:42Stafford's lined up here for a long time before the playoffs. You got Arizona Raiders, Chargers, Washington, Arizona, Green Bay. This is after the bi-week Green Bay, Kansas city. And then you, uh, then in your week 14, though, San Francisco and in the middle of your playoffs is Seattle. Yeah.

51:02And if you're a week 18, it's Seattle, Tampa, Seattle for your three playoff weeks, which is crazy. But yeah, I mean, he's, he's been like, he's, he's been much better than people. Realize he's been the quarterback for three weeks. Yeah. Um, Puka helps a lot. Certainly does. And then Adams around the goal line is unstoppable.

51:23They just, they scheme up the McVay combo with Adams, just ability to high point a ball. Um, two touchdowns last night for Adams. He had a good game. It wasn't 24 targets. It was seven, but he had a big game. So, uh, tomorrow we're going to do a fantasy draft redo the top 24 picks, uh, and preview the Thursday night game.

51:42Cause football never stops. And then we have starts of the week matchup previews on Thursday and matchups and fantasy faceoff on Friday. So do not miss a minute of it. Justin Herbert threw the ball 24 times. Puka had 24 targets. Oh, that's crazy. Yeah. Josh Allen threw at 19. Oh my gosh. Puka had more targets than Josh Allen.

52:04There was no productive wide receiver for the bills really. Other than Khalil Shakir had an overtime play that brought him down to the 20 before. By the way, we didn't talk about this, but James cook fumbled twice. Sure. James cook fumbled twice last night. 11, a bit of a problem. He does have a fumbling problem. And they,

52:19I mean, it's funny, like Scadaboo and James cook were a hundred percent going to lose their team, the game. And then. Bailed out. Bailed out. So that would have been more and more and more of a story, but that is going to do it. I need to go to sleep. That is going to do it for today's show.

52:38We'll be back tomorrow. Thank you for tuning in and supporting Andy's hole. And, uh, yeah. Enjoy the week. Good luck on the waiver wire. Thank you for listening to another episode of, of the fantasy footballers podcast.

52:59Join our fantasy football community on join the foot.com and follow us on Twitter at the FF ballers. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
