0:00What you don't know about me is
0:01definitely that I am very
0:02family-oriented and family is very
0:04important to me .
0:05The media constantly links you with my
0:07fiancé . That is true .
0:09Do you have any thoughts after the "
0:10Poverty is a state of mind " campaign ?
0:12Let’s start by saying that I did not
0:14speak those words . They did not come
0:16out of my mouth .
0:17How do you manage with that ? Did you
0:19learn how to organize your time somehow
0:20? Or maybe you have a problem with that
0:22?
0:22For a while , I had the wrong motivation
0:24, a toxic motivation , and I do not
0:26recommend it . I was once friends with
0:29this one girl , who was like a friend
0:30and a rival to me .
0:32If you could tell me , then , what is
0:34your biggest priority in life ?
0:36This will be a turning point in my life
0:38.
0:38What do you know about Julia Wieniawa ?
0:40I pray every day before I start .
0:42Nobody at school tells you that you
0:44don't have to be accepted by everyone ;
0:45you just go to the front to answer , and
0:47success is that the class isn't
0:49laughing at you .
0:50I feel like a woman in every way . How
0:52many tears I have shed in my life
0:54because , you know , I read something
0:55somewhere . This is probably my greatest
0:58strength . It's the man who should lead ,
1:00give you a framework , so to speak , and
1:02you can just flow , dance , and be
1:04yourself within it . I believe in signs
1:05from the universe . I also believe that
1:08everything happens for a reason , and I
1:10believe that we obviously have free
1:12will , but some things are , I feel ,
1:14written in the stars . Often in my
1:17relationships , that was the main reason
1:19for failure . Hi , I'm very glad you're
1:26here . Welcome to the " Because I Want to
1:29Know " podcast . Together , we explore
1:31topics that often nobody teaches us and
1:33look for ways to lead a more conscious
1:34and better life . This is a space where
1:37I talk to experts from various fields
1:39and people who inspire with their
1:41stories . Enjoy listening . Today my
1:44guest is Julia Wieniawa .
1:45Good morning .
1:47One of the biggest young stars in
1:49Poland . An actress , singer , and
1:51influencer , a girl who turned a TV
1:54series debut into a full-fledged
1:56showbiz empire . It is a great pleasure
2:00to host you here , and listen , I always
2:02ask my guests the first question , but
2:04you've answered it before , so I've
2:05changed its form slightly .
2:08Okay ,
2:09so tell me , if not for your profession ,
2:11background , nationality , or where you
2:13grew up , and without mentioning hobbies
2:15, religion , or labels , how would you
2:18describe yourself ? Oh God , that's a
2:20terribly complex question . If you could
2:22, once more , how would I describe
2:24myself without
2:25saying ,
2:25yes , without , um , talking about the
2:27profession , about the background .
2:28Okay , I understand , I understand .
2:30Alright .
2:31Who am I ? Like a little PR , right , for ,
2:35um , a Tinder bio , let's
2:39say . I think I am very , um an honest ,
2:47consistent , um , woman , a real woman now
2:50. Maybe let's start with that . I feel
2:53that I am a woman now . Over the last
2:57two years , I've gone through such a
2:59transformation and , and , and maturation
3:01, that I can say that .
3:05I am I am very loyal , especially to my
3:11true friends . I am a Capricorn . Oh , you
3:15didn't tell me I couldn't say that , so
3:17yes . I am a Capricorn . I think that
3:20says a lot about me too . I am a number
3:22eight in numerology . So , if someone is
3:28into zodiac , esoteric topics and so on ,
3:30well , an eight and a Capricorn have , so
3:33to speak , double the firepower , because
3:35they have quite similar traits . Meaning
3:41, I am very fortunately or
3:45unfortunately focused on work , on my
3:47career . I can admit that it is a very
3:51important thing in my life . I have
3:56always had a specific goal , um , that I
3:58consistently pursue . But what you don't
4:03know about me is definitely that I am
4:05very family-oriented , and family is
4:07very important to me , and I would love
4:09to start one someday . I am a quiet
4:13romantic and love is something that
4:18really drives me in life , and when
4:20it’s not there , I don’t feel like
4:22doing anything .
4:25Listen , you already answered almost two
4:27more questions I had prepared along the
4:29way , but I’ll start with whether you
4:31have always been this ambitious and
4:32productive , because it’s clear to see
4:34that work is important to you and that
4:36you consistently pursue your goals . And
4:39the question is , has it always been
4:40like that ?
4:42I was always a curious child ,
4:44interested in the world . I never put
4:47myself in a box . I always wanted to try
4:50everything possible . As a child , I went
4:54to dance classes , musicals , then vocals
4:57were added , acting , lessons , horse
4:59riding . I tried everything . Hmm , but it
5:04was often also , um , associated with a ,
5:07um , quick enthusiasm , and then a , um ,
5:09quick , um , fading of that enthusiasm ,
5:12so-called short-lived passion . For
5:16example , um , guitar or some instruments
5:18, or even painting , because my father
5:20is a painter , and as a child , I also
5:22went to plein-air painting sessions and
5:24painted a lot , but then with age , I
5:26realized that my ADHD doesn’t allow
5:28for those passions , so I was always
5:30very curious about the world . But that
5:34kind of consistency and perseverance in
5:37one specific goal came , I think , with
5:39age and experience . But yeah , I think I
5:42can call myself an ambitious person . I
5:46wonder where that comes from . I
5:47sometimes wonder myself what my main
5:49driving force in life is . I think at
5:52the beginning it was the need to prove
5:56it to my family , a bit to my dad . Sorry
6:01Dad , if you're watching this , that
6:03it’s possible , that my dreams aren't ,
6:05you know not made up , and I'm not just
6:11saying that ; if I really set my mind to
6:13something , I am capable of doing it . So
6:16that was always my primary driving
6:18force . But then , for a while , I had , uh
6:22, for a moment I had a bad motivation ,
6:24a toxic motivation , and I don't
6:26recommend it . I was once , I was friends
6:30with this one girl , who was a
6:31friend-rival to me .
6:34Okay . I mean , I think the friendship
6:37and rivalry was more on her side ,
6:38because I always just wear my heart on
6:40my sleeve . However , I guess that mutual
6:49need to prove to each other , you know ,
6:51who would have a better resume , who
6:53would do more things and so on , that
6:55was a toxic motivation for a while . And
7:01then , when I freed myself from that
7:03toxic friendship , it turned out that
7:05not comparing myself to others is the
7:06most beautiful thing , and that's when
7:08the most beautiful things happen , and
7:10my career took off . Um , and after that ,
7:16I just wanted to prove to myself that I
7:18could do it and yeah , I guess so . Now
7:26I'll ask you a question : if there were
7:28one skill that you didn't have to learn
7:29, but could just wish to have overnight
7:31. What would that be ?
7:35But is it a real or unreal one ?
7:38You know what , I was actually thinking
7:39more about a real one . I thought of
7:42wanting to fly immediately .
7:43No , no . I'm not asking about
7:45superpowers yet .
7:46Okay , so a skill . Well , you know , for
7:49example , I can't cook , and I'd love to
7:52be able to cook . That for sure ,
7:54although I'm slowly getting convinced
7:56to do it . I started with breakfasts .
7:59I'm great at omelets , poached eggs , and
8:01eggs Benedict now . Playing the piano .
8:06Playing the Oh , wow . Well , actually ,
8:07actually that's a very good answer too .
8:09Yes .
8:10Well , yeah . I think it could make
8:11things a lot easier for you overnight .
8:13That's true . Yes , I even bought a piano
8:16and got one as a gift , so I already
8:18have two pianos . Listen , and I still
8:21don't have that skill because , um , my
8:24intense lifestyle doesn't allow me to
8:25... I mean , it doesn't allow me . It's
8:32always said that where there's a will ,
8:34there's a way , but I really , really
8:36dream of it , yet I still have more
8:37important things to do , and I don't
8:39quite have the time to learn to play
8:41the piano yet , but I do dream of it and
8:42it's even on my list of resolutions for
8:44this year .
8:48Mhm . It would definitely make writing
8:55music much easier for me , to feel that
8:57complete independence , because
8:59currently , despite everything , I need a
9:01second person to write songs , like a
9:03music producer , who will suggest a
9:05backing track , some
9:09chords , um ,
9:11over which I can lay my top line ,
9:13yeah ,
9:14meaning the song's melody , and then I
9:16start writing the lyrics and so on . And
9:19if I had the skill , even of basic piano
9:21playing , that would give me the ability
9:23to just write by myself at home . And
9:28so I come with a finished song and say
9:30to the producer : " Mr. Producer , please
9:32create a beautiful arrangement for me
9:34here , but there’s no interference
9:36with the song itself . " So yes , I agree ,
9:39you were right . Cooking is a less
9:42important thing . That can be learned in
9:44time . If you have someone to cook for ,
9:47then sure .
9:48Okay , you said you have a lot of
9:49responsibilities and it's sometimes
9:51hard to organize , but how do you
9:53actually do it , how do you manage ? Did
9:56you learn time management somehow , or
9:58do you struggle with it ?
10:00I’ve managed my ADHD quite
10:01intuitively , why do I keep talking
10:03about it ? I know it's a very popular
10:06topic now , every other person has ADHD .
10:09But I'm not surprised , we live in a
10:11world of huge stimuli , total
10:13overstimulation . I’m even scared for
10:16my sister and her generation , because
10:18that’s just hardcore , being born with
10:20TikTok in hand . Anyway , I had tests
10:25done , both with a psychologist and
10:27blood tests for neurotransmitters .
10:33And I have double confirmation that it
10:35is ADHD ; apparently my body doesn’t
10:38produce enough dopamine and serotonin
10:40on its own , which is the main cause of
10:42this ADHD . But I talked to my
10:47psychologist . Okay , so what now ? And
10:52she says that according to my
10:54description and the test I filled out ,
10:55I intuitively and spontaneously cope
10:57with the disorder , and it actually
11:04gives me a nice boost at work , and I
11:06honestly even like it about myself . I
11:10like it because it pushes me to do more
11:12and more things . Uh ,
11:15actually , I was going to ask if maybe
11:16that’s why you’re able to do so
11:18much and have so much energy for it .
11:20I think so . I think it really helps me
11:22at work . Uh , I’m always craving more ,
11:25because I crave stimuli , I crave
11:27dopamine , so at work , it drives me . In
11:30my private life , well , it’s not
11:32helpful . But , getting back , because I
11:36know I’m going around in circles
11:38answering your question , as to how I
11:39handle it and organize my time . Simple
11:44as that . Calendar on my phone . I write
11:48everything in my calendar . Even a
11:50meeting with a friend or a quick coffee
11:52with someone . Everything is on my phone
11:55, so before I go to sleep , I see that I
11:57have checked everything off . I feel
12:00fulfilled and can go to sleep satisfied
12:02.
12:02It makes things much easier . I highly
12:04recommend it to everyone .
12:07If you could tell me , what is your
12:08biggest priority in life right now ?
12:12Right now ? Mm-hmm .
12:14Now , in 2026 .
12:16Right .
12:17Well , right now , it's the concert tour .
12:22A concert tour that starts in April ,
12:24and its grand finale is on April 26th
12:26at Torwar . This is the first time I'm
12:31organizing Torwar solo ,
12:36because I always performed there as a
12:37guest , and this year I decided that I
12:39had to take the risk and this step and
12:41try to sell out at least half of Torwar
12:43.
12:46Congratulations .
12:47Keep your fingers crossed . Knock on
12:49wood . I warmly invite you and your
12:51viewers . Because it will be such a
12:55breakthrough moment in my life . A bit
12:57of a closure of a certain chapter , and
13:00a bit of a closure of the " chiaroscuro "
13:02stage too .
13:03And an opening of a new one .
13:05It will definitely be a great show .
13:08Just two days ago , I met with my
13:10choreographer to figure out what we're
13:12updating , what new things we'll offer .
13:16Uh , there will be beautiful visuals ,
13:18lighting , everything the way I like it
13:21most . Uh , so I'll be happy if you drop
13:24by . This is the most important thing
13:28for me right now , because it will cost
13:30me a lot of work over the next few
13:32weeks .
13:33So , how many concerts are you planning
13:35on the tour ?
13:36The concert tour will have seven
13:38concerts
13:38in the biggest cities , and the Warsaw
13:40Torwar will be the finale .
13:42The final one . Cool . Awesome .
13:44But I am stressed . I'll tell you that ,
13:46just as for the last few years I walked
13:53through this world so very confident in
13:55myself and my skills , that I’d just
13:57jump in without thinking , well , now I
13:58really feel a lot of humility ,
14:05but I think it’s good to feel that ,
14:06yeah , because it’s grounding ,
14:10and , you know , we’ll see how it all
14:11turns out . I’m a little stressed
14:13about it , I won't hide that .
14:15Well , that actually brings a question
14:16to mind right now . Acting , music . You
14:20once mentioned that you would choose
14:22music if you had to compare them . So
14:25tell me why , and let's touch on that
14:27stress . Why does music stress you out
14:30the most ?
14:32Well , because here everything is on my
14:34head , which is both a plus and a minus
14:36at the same time . Hmm , mm-hmm .
14:39Because here I can be my own boss . I
14:45decide , especially now that I've gone
14:47independent , I release music myself , I
14:49have distribution . I only , uh , I decide
14:53what I release , when I release it , what
14:55video I make . I am the master and
14:59commander of my own destiny . It's great
15:01, but it is a huge responsibility on my
15:04shoulders . I also have a lot of people ,
15:10that also work for me
15:13and that is also a huge responsibility .
15:16A lot of such burdensome things just
15:18come with it , and it's a huge risk .
15:22Because , in truth , releasing every
15:24single involves spending money ,
15:26dedicating a huge amount of time ,
15:28filming a music video , which again
15:30means finding money for that , and so on
15:33and so forth . And you never know if it
15:35will take off or not .
15:37Mhm .
15:38And I’ve been surprised many times ,
15:40both positively and negatively ,
15:41thinking something would definitely
15:43take off , only for it to turn out
15:45completely different . Well , for example
15:48, in the case of the song " Kocham , " I
15:50didn't know it would go this viral , so
15:52that was a nice surprise . So , it's one
15:57big unknown , but on the other hand ,
15:59when success comes , the satisfaction is
16:01huge .
16:03Oh yes . huge . Nothing ventured , nothing
16:06gained . As for acting , I’m not giving
16:11it up because I like it very much , I
16:13really enjoy it too , especially when I
16:15get roles that help me grow , that
16:16fascinate me , and that simply let me
16:18express myself . For example , that's why
16:24I perform in theater ; even though I
16:26theoretically don't have to , I’ve
16:28been doing this play with Woronowicz at
16:30Garnizon Sztuki for almost three years
16:32now . We sell out all the shows , and it
16:36excites me , especially this theater ,
16:38because it's
16:40live ,
16:41because it's like a gym for my brain ,
16:43in a way . But going back to acting
16:47itself , it's a safer form in the sense
16:49that once you’ve kindly been given
16:51the role because someone sees the
16:53potential in you , you know : you show up
16:55on set , learn your lines , do it , leave ,
16:57get your day rate , and the matter is
16:59settled . You don't care about anything
17:03else , and in fact , you can't even care ,
17:04because you have no influence over it .
17:07Which has its pros , because you just
17:10forget , move on , get paid , and goodbye ,
17:12but it also has its cons . Because it
17:15doesn't matter if you acted well or not
17:16, you don't know how they'll edit it ,
17:18you don't know what music they'll add ,
17:20you don't know what the promotion
17:21around the film will be like , and a
17:23whole host of other aspects that go
17:24into the final production . Oh yes . Umm ,
17:30so everything has its pros and cons ,
17:32but I prefer music because here I feel
17:34more like myself , I can convey my true
17:36emotions and tell stories in my music
17:38about things I couldn't say in an
17:39interview , for example . Right .
17:44Mhm . And in your own words , too .
17:46Yes , exactly . And what about fame ? Are
17:50you afraid that it will one day pass ?
17:53Do you think it's just a good strategy
17:54and you have control over it ?
17:58I feel like I have control over it . Mm .
18:04But I’m also not afraid of it anymore
18:05. I know that there will definitely
18:08come a moment when I’m not the hot
18:10topic anymore , although I’m still
18:11surprised it’s lasted this long ,
18:16because everyone told me , oh , 5 minutes
18:19and it'll pass , but it turns out those
18:215 minutes stretched into 15 . I’m very
18:27grateful for that , and now , with age , I
18:29at least know what this game is about
18:30and I know well how to play it . Mm , but
18:36I’m also not afraid of that passing .
18:40Mhm .
18:42In fact , it seems to me that I will
18:43someday help other young people with
18:49how to be in this place , the one I was
18:51in .
18:53Would you like to do something like
18:54that someday ?
18:54Yes . It’s like an intuition that that
18:59will be my role someday , and I’m
19:01happy about that , and I’d rather have
19:03it be that way , not that I’d be some
19:05bitter , you know , sad old woman who ,
19:07you know , is no longer number one . No ,
19:11I truly feel fulfilled already .
19:15If you like what you’re hearing right
19:17now and want to be part of our
19:18conscious community , subscribe to the
19:20channel , leave a like and a comment to
19:21stay up to date . On my channel ,
19:23you’ll find all sorts of content ,
19:25from health to sports , fashion , and
19:27entertainment . So it would be cool if
19:29you were a part of it . I still have a
19:34few things I’d like to check off in
19:36my life , but increasingly , believe me ,
19:38I want to calm down a bit , slow down a
19:40little , and change my priorities
19:44to those simplest life ones .
19:47So you imagine yourself a bit older ,
19:49having already slightly stepped away
19:51from this world , from in front of the
19:53cameras , and , for example , helping
19:55others shine instead .
19:58I’m not saying I’ll totally
19:59disappear one day , because I like it
20:01too much . After all , it still fuels me
20:03too much . Uh , but I am absolutely ready
20:05to , someday , step into the shadows a
20:07little bit , because I also won’t hide
20:09the fact that I’m — I don't want to
20:11complain here , because it's not about
20:13complaining — but I really am tired at
20:15times
20:17and I feel a kind of professional
20:18burnout , or maybe not even professional
20:20burnout , but just being overworked .
20:23Mhm .
20:24Over-exhausted . And I know I did it to
20:27myself , because no one forced me to do
20:29it . It’s not like I’m incapacitated
20:33and my mom makes me work . And you know ,
20:36sometimes people write that my mom is
20:38like Kris Jenner and I’m poor , just
20:40being dragged along by her . That’s
20:42not the case at all . I am the master of
20:44my own fate . I was always the one
20:48pushing through doors and windows ,
20:49eager for the spotlight , and she just
20:51helped me with all of that because she
20:53wanted me to follow my dreams . So , I
20:59know I'm a bit to blame for it myself .
21:06But I don't regret that my life turned
21:08out this way , because I really learned
21:09quite a few things early on and
21:11definitely know what I don't want
21:12anymore . And that is the first step to
21:18knowing what you actually do want . Yeah
21:21.
21:22All right . You know , I’ve prepared a
21:25mini-game here ; since you’ve been
21:27rambling , I’m going to give you a
21:29small restriction now .
21:30Okay . Oh , Jesus . Yeah , I’m the queen
21:32of beating around the bush . I’m sorry
21:34.
21:34No worries . I think the viewers are
21:37satisfied with that . Me too , but now
21:39we’re going to play a traits game
21:41where I ask you questions and you just
21:43answer in three words . Okay .
21:45Three words . All right .
21:46That’s right . Three traits you like
21:48most about yourself . Uh . Stubbornness ,
21:54uh . Actually , probably that loyalty .
22:00Mhm .
22:02Hard work .
22:04Three traits you like least about
22:06yourself . Actually , I could name the
22:11same ones , because they all have their
22:13pros and cons , but . I don’t know if
22:19it’s a minus , but that emotional
22:21hypersensitivity that makes me take
22:22everything to heart .
22:24Okay , I’m talking too much again . It
22:26was supposed to be simple words .
22:30Oversensitivity .
22:32Okay . Maybe that , if it can be both a
22:34plus and a minus again . But there are
22:37no justifications . Remember , three
22:40words .
22:41Three words . Selfishness .
22:44Okay .
22:45Sometimes . And honesty , but I’d list
22:50honesty as a plus . For me , these traits
22:53have both pros and cons . So I could
22:57just repeat some of them . But okay ,
23:00what else can I say ? Chaos , that I’m
23:05sometimes chaotic . Yes . Okay .
23:08Now , three traits that help you most in
23:10your work . You can repeat yourself . I
23:13accept that . You can repeat yourself .
23:17Actually , that chaos sometimes really
23:19hinders me , but it also really helps me
23:22sometimes . Regardless , I am strategic .
23:25Oh , maybe strategy . Strategic thinking .
23:28Mhm .
23:29I know how to work . I know how to work
23:31with , you know , when there’s such
23:33intense , high stress ; how to say this
23:35in one word , that I’m resilient , you
23:36know , to such , when it’s ...
23:39When there’s a lot going on and I
23:40have a deadline and I need to act here
23:42and now , that’s when I’m most
23:43focused . It’s like , resilience , high
23:45stress resistance .
23:46Okay . Okay . That’s , I don’t know ,
23:49some trait I definitely have , and it
23:51makes my work much easier . And maybe
23:59it's not visible , but humility . I am
24:03very humble .
24:04Okay . I'm especially humble when I need
24:07to be . I think we know best what we're
24:10like ourselves . It's easy to judge from
24:12the outside , but internally , we are
24:14probably our own best judges . Alright .
24:17Three traits or habits you'd like to
24:19develop in 2026 .
24:23Meditation .
24:24Mhm .
24:25Oh Jesus , that is so hard for me .
24:27It's true , it's super hard .
24:29It is so hard . Do you meditate ? I try ,
24:32but I tell everyone that my , that I
24:34meditate in my own way , because I think
24:36meditation can take many forms , rather
24:38than just sitting in silence .
24:40That's true . Start .
24:42For me , meditation is meditation in
24:44motion , for example , you know , sports ,
24:47the gym , especially when I do it by
24:49myself , cardio , yoga , that is my
24:51meditation , but the kind of meditation
24:53that involves sitting in silence , being
24:56with myself , breathing exercises more
24:58often ,
25:00that is what I would really like to
25:02develop . And I know I can , because for
25:06example , I developed the habit of
25:08drinking water very quickly and I walk
25:10everywhere with my big jug . Everyone
25:13laughs at me , but indeed I managed it
25:15and I always drink those 2.5 liters
25:17minimum .
25:18Damn , respect . I wanted to drink that
25:20much
25:20really .
25:21I'll even tell you that I'm already
25:22parched . I think I'll drink some water
25:24because of all this and now I'm just
25:25stalling . It happened .
25:26Listen , we're promoting drinking water
25:28now . You need to stay hydrated .
25:30Stay hydrated . Alright , and the third
25:32trait . Yes ,
25:33yes . You see , I don't remember anymore .
25:36Or habit
25:36or habit . Habit , habit . Okay ,
25:39habits are easier .
25:40I actually have a lot of good habits
25:42already , but maybe , maybe one I would
25:44like to get rid of , is that also in the
25:46question , or not ? Is it one to acquire ?
25:49Yes ,
25:49to develop , but
25:50okay . Develop . Okay , fine , fine . Oh
25:54Jesus . Maybe more stretching ?
25:59Stretching is , is cool
26:02and I definitely do it too rarely .
26:05Okay , so the last one from this segment
26:06is three words you would use to
26:08describe your life right now .
26:10Very emotional .
26:11Mhm .
26:12Breakthrough . I'm having a very
26:14breakthrough time right now . And
26:16intense .
26:18Okay . Those suit you .
26:23Let's move on then to the healthy
26:25lifestyle and spirituality segment . I
26:28love this topic . Watching your activity
26:31. I know you're in Bali a lot , that you
26:35do yoga , and you can really see that
26:36healthy lifestyle in you . Could you
26:41tell me what your typical day looks
26:42like in terms of a healthy lifestyle ?
26:45What do you practice ?
26:47Let's start with the fact that my days
26:48are not typical at all ,
26:52and finding a routine is my daily task .
26:58I really like having a routine , and I
27:00try to have mornings for myself , for
27:02example . That is sacred to me . Since I
27:06can afford to dictate my own terms
27:08rather than adapt to others , those
27:10mornings are really super important to
27:12me , and as much as I can , I start work
27:14at 12:00 or 1:00 PM , and the whole
27:16morning is just for me . But it’s also
27:21true that my creative work is better in
27:23the evening . I have this feeling that
27:25when I'm sitting in the studio , I
27:27prefer the evening , so that suits me .
27:29It's worse when I have a film or TV set
27:31, because then , really ... you have to
27:35get up around 6:00 or 7:00 AM . I was
27:37even going to ask how you deal with
27:38adapting to the schedule , because I
27:40know it’s not ...
27:41I don't like it , I don't like it . I
27:43don't like adapting at all . I really
27:45dislike when there are rules , and
27:47I’ve always been like that , even in
27:48school . But sometimes you have to , you
27:51know . However , whenever I can , I put in
27:53my contract , for example , that I won't
27:55get up earlier than 8:00 AM . Mhm .
27:57But it wasn't always like that . It’s
27:59only recently that I've been able to
28:01include that . But that’s exactly
28:03because those mornings are essential to
28:05me . If I get up calmly in the morning
28:11and get those 8 hours of sleep , it
28:13makes me smile , feel regenerated ,
28:15focused , and kind ; if I'm
28:16sleep-deprived , I'm very irritable .
28:23Then I’m like porcelain . I’m joking
28:26a little , of course , but there’s some
28:28truth to it too . So if I sleep those 8
28:33hours , get up in the morning , first I
28:35have to take my thyroid medication ,
28:37wait a while , brush my teeth , then I go
28:39for a walk with the dog , and drink warm
28:41water with lemon ,
28:46to warm up my tummy and get my bowels
28:48working better . Then I take my
28:50probiotic , which I also have to take on
28:52an empty stomach . I go , put on my shoes
28:55, and even in my pajamas , I do my
28:58favorite fasted cardio .
28:59Mhm .
29:00Or just get my steps in , depending on
29:01the moment of my cycle , because I’ve
29:03started paying attention to that lately
29:05too .
29:05Oh , that's cool . That's interesting .
29:08Because I used to push myself so hard ,
29:10thinking more is always better , and I
29:12had the opposite effect — I would swell
29:14up terribly , my cortisol would spike
29:16even more , and it becomes a vicious
29:18cycle . But when I listen to my body
29:20more and don't push to the max , just ...
29:23when I feel worse , I just do yoga or
29:25just walking , instead of turbo cardio ,
29:28kickboxing , or you know , some kind of
29:30overwhelming ...
29:31exercises . So I started listening to my
29:33body . So , coming back from my cardio ,
29:36I’m making myself a nice , calm
29:37breakfast . Whenever I have time , it’s
29:41my favorite egg dish : an omelet with
29:43two eggs and one egg white . Plus some
29:47feta cheese , my favorite . And a salad ,
29:50lots of greens . You even have a
29:52breakfast recipe now .
29:53Exactly . You're welcome . I really love
29:55mornings . I love them . Mhm .
29:59Especially when I have time for things
30:01that calibrate me , because it means
30:02I’m okay afterwards and ready to take
30:04on the day .
30:07Yeah , starting the day like this puts
30:09everything in a completely different
30:10perspective .
30:12And then , after breakfast , I take a
30:14whole handful of my second breakfast ,
30:16which is my supplements ,
30:20which are , of course , wisely chosen by
30:22my endocrinologist and nutritionist . I
30:26don’t just do this blindly .
30:32That’s when I can really start my day
30:33and I’m in a good mood , so that’s
30:35my morning .
30:38Mhm .
30:39That was the question , I hope , because
30:41I remember asking about healthy habits .
30:43I understand you don’t have typical
30:44days and each one doesn’t look the
30:46same . Quite the opposite . So it’s
30:47cool that you’re even able to
30:48maintain this morning routine , right ?
30:50Exactly . Yes .
30:51So now , moving more towards
30:53spirituality . What do you know , Julia
30:55Wieniawa ? And is there any direction of
30:57spirituality that you identify with the
30:59most and find your truth in ?
31:06I think there comes a time for everyone
31:08when you start to think about it more .
31:14I come from a family that believes in
31:16God , a Catholic , Christian family .
31:21However , I had a moment of distancing
31:23myself , especially from the church ,
31:24from the church itself , and I don't
31:26really like those institutions . I don't
31:32like that these churches are always so
31:34big , tall , covered in gold , and that
31:36whole approach to people , that it's
31:38always just about contrition for sins ,
31:40contrition for sins , and that
31:41everything is always so sad . That
31:46scared me off as a child ,
31:49but on the other hand , well , the priest
31:51who taught me religion was the one who
31:53made it so ... ... and honestly , I’m
31:57kind of where I am because of him .
31:58Shout out
31:59to
32:01Father Marcin Szczerbiński , who taught
32:03me religion and also how to play the
32:05guitar , and I went to a few of his
32:06classes .
32:10He said that I had huge vocal talent
32:11and that I wanted to be an actress and
32:13that I also liked to dance . So he found
32:16me a musical school and pushed me into
32:18it . And that musical school was my
32:22first stepping stone to the audition
32:24for " Rodzinka.pl . " And then it just
32:27took off , so it was all connected , you
32:29know .
32:30You have a soft spot for it .
32:31Plus , when I was a kid , I went to
32:33church even on Saturdays for choir
32:35rehearsals , and on Sundays , I sang all
32:37the psalms , alleluias , and so on . I was
32:42in the church choir , so I often joke
32:44that it was my first audience , and in
32:46general , I really loved my little
32:48church . It was so modest and charming ,
32:53the place where I had my communion and
32:55confirmation . But later on , I distanced
32:58myself from the institution of the
33:00church because it got too involved in
33:02politics .
33:06It started to feel too political for me
33:08, which made me pull away , but I still
33:10believed and continue to believe in God
33:12. I don’t know if it’s a man with
33:16long hair and a beard , but I do believe
33:18in energy . I believe there is
33:21definitely something out there , and I
33:23dare say that , in reality , all
33:24religions like Buddhism or , you know ,
33:30belief in Allah and so on , are really
33:32just faith in the same energy , just in
33:34a slightly different form . And what I
33:39can never understand is why in the
33:41world there are wars related to
33:45religion , you know , that they exist ,
33:47that there are religious wars . I just
33:49can’t grasp that at all . Why should
33:51we care who someone else believes in ?
33:53Like , you know ,
33:55just believe in what suits you best ,
33:59and if it serves you , that’s great .
34:02No , it’s not my business . That’s
34:04why , to me , it’s all such an
34:06absurdity . The fact that people are
34:10capable of killing each other over
34:11religion . And I remind you that
34:15religion says something completely
34:16different . Love your neighbor as
34:20yourself . So , it conflicts a bit with
34:23what is written in the history books
34:30regarding religion . But getting back to
34:33your question , strictly speaking , I
34:35believe there is someone watching over
34:36me , guiding me , and that’s something
34:38you definitely don’t know about me . I
34:42pray every single day . Oh ,
34:45yes . It’s not about reciting , you
34:47know , the rosary ,
34:50but I talk to my God , and I always
34:52start my conversation with God by being
34:54grateful for what I have . I list
34:56everything that I am grateful for in my
35:02life . And then , you know , with humility
35:08and love , I ask for support for the
35:10next day , for example , or for something
35:12to work out , so that I have that
35:13support , you know ?
35:18And I’ll tell you , it works ,
35:19it really works . Well ,
35:21I think the most important thing is to
35:23find what works in our own lives .
35:25Exactly . Happiness as well ,
35:27without judging others , I must
35:29emphasize . Right .
35:31Yes , I agree with many of the things
35:33you said about religion itself and what
35:35happens in its name . Alright , let’s
35:38move on to your career , because you
35:40seem to have several jobs , I get the
35:42impression . Let's start with music ,
35:45since it's so important to you right
35:46now , and it shows . Could you tell me ,
35:49if you had to keep one album , "
35:51Światłocienie " or " Omamy " , which one
35:53would it be and why ? To keep .
35:57As if the other one were to disappear .
35:58Disappear . Well , " Omamy " , I think .
36:03Although it's a tough question , no , "
36:05Światłocienie " . This album is very ,
36:08very much my own . It is much more
36:11mature ,
36:13and every song was written by me .
36:15Because with " Omamy " , for some songs I
36:17wrote with someone or someone wrote for
36:19me . M. Whereas with " Światłocienie " ,
36:22I already had the whole vision here ,
36:26and I also opened up a lot on this
36:32record , much more than on the first one
36:34, because on " Omamy " there were many
36:36lyrics behind which I was hiding a bit .
36:40They were more poetic , plus people
36:42wrote for me . I told them the topic and
36:45, you know , we talked , but people still
36:47wrote for me . Mhm .
36:51But while writing the " Światłocienie "
36:53album , well , I was the main author of
36:55these songs , so they are very much from
36:57the heart , so I would rather keep that
36:59one . Your songs actually contain many
37:05manifestos . Can you tell me which one
37:07resonates with you the most now , at the
37:09beginning of 2026 ? " Kocham " ( I Love ) .
37:15A year ago it was " Sobą " ( Being Myself )
37:17, right ? And now , I love more . Uh , well
37:23, actually , as I mentioned at the
37:25beginning of our conversation , I feel
37:27fully like a woman . I feel fully yes ,
37:34you know , that I fully accept myself ,
37:36and even though I am aware of certain
37:39insecurities of mine , which I even
37:40mentioned to you before the recording ,
37:43I truly love myself , my body , and I
37:44appreciate it , and , well , that's what
37:46this song is partly about too . I really
37:54wanted this song to make women start
37:55speaking well about themselves and be
37:57able to list traits they love in
37:58themselves . By the way , the anniversary
38:03of this song is coming up soon , and I
38:05want to repeat my street survey to see
38:07if anything has changed over this year .
38:10I hope so . Well , I have to tell you
38:13that when I first heard this song , I
38:15was not only shocked that you released
38:17it and that the lyrics were so strong ,
38:19but I immediately started listening to
38:21it regularly , so you said it was a
38:22shock to you that it broke out like
38:24that and went ... And actually , when I
38:26heard it , I felt it much more than , for
38:28example , " Sobą " , right ? Which also
38:31spoke to me a lot , but here
38:34I'll quote a piece of it .
38:35I love my hair , hips , eyelashes , and
38:38scars that make me who I am . I love
38:40having my own opinion always , even when
38:42it's inconvenient for them . I think ,
38:45like , I’m not surprised so many girls
38:47identify with this , because these are
38:49very powerful words . But regarding body
38:55acceptance , since that really resonates
38:56here too , did you have a story , some
38:58past related to this that you wanted to
39:00convey — that you’ve either closed
39:02certain chapters or become even more at
39:04peace with how you look and started to
39:06accept it more ? As a very young girl , I
39:14joined the show * Rodzinka.pl * , and that
39:16meant that by the age of 13 , I was
39:18under intense fire from people’s
39:24opinions , criticism , and I didn't even
39:26know what complexes were before , but
39:28people very quickly made me realize
39:30what they are . It's just very sad .
39:35And for years I heard that that what
39:41kind of phenomenon is she , that she’s
39:43so average , that she’s short , has
39:45short legs , a crooked nose . I still
39:48manage to read things about that nose
39:50to this day . And honestly , I’m
39:54sometimes in shock that I’ve actually
39:55never done anything to myself in my
39:57life . And I had many moments where I
40:01could have been broken . However , I
40:06heard from my dad , and also from one of
40:08my ex-partners , not to get my nose done
40:11because this nose is my character , and
40:13if I change it , just please don't ,
40:14it’s your personality . And I believed
40:19it , and I actually think so now too ;
40:21it's no longer a complex for me . Well ,
40:26I learned that with age and experience ,
40:28but for many years someone was
40:29constantly telling me what I should
40:31change
40:34and what is wrong with me . Mhm .
40:36I say , damn no , actually , no , I
40:38actually love my hair , I actually love
40:40my ... I love this , that , and the other ,
40:42and I will list what ... Oh , I know what
40:45else was my motivation to write this
40:47song , because someone told me I’m too
40:49self-confident .
40:51Mhm .
40:54And that I am too arrogant , and that
40:56this excessive female self-confidence
40:58is emanating from me . I think to myself
41:01, but that’s actually awesome . I want
41:03other women to feel that too , and
41:05precisely : you won’t tell me who
41:06I’m supposed to be , that I should
41:08quiet down , that I shouldn't talk about
41:10certain things , that you know , like : "
41:12don't be so overconfident . " But why ?
41:14Like , this is me , and that’s why I
41:16said , okay , let’s make a song , a kind
41:19of manifesto song .
41:22Where I start listing what I love about
41:24myself , so I can instill that in other
41:26women too . That public survey also
41:29really made me realize that this is a
41:31truly big problem .
41:33It is , it really is , because girls
41:35these days , and not just girls , but
41:38guys too ,
41:40guys also listen to the opinions of
41:41others , who in their eyes are some kind
41:43of judges . Yeah .
41:46Like , who even decides what one should
41:48be like ? Let's start with whether there
41:51are any golden rules for how a person
41:52should look and behave . Especially , you
41:55know , in the era of social media , where
41:56everyone compares themselves to
41:58everyone else , it’s tough . That’s
42:00why being yourself is even more of a
42:01strength ,
42:04and turning those pseudo-flaws into
42:06your advantage , something that makes us
42:08stand out , something super .
42:13Jesus , it’s just , I’ll tell you , I
42:15love that I didn’t give in to those
42:16comments .
42:18I love that .
42:19Well , I think that is one of your
42:21biggest successes . Overall .
42:22Honestly , I think so too . Thank you . I
42:25think so too , because honestly , the
42:27amount of tears I’ve shed in my life
42:28because , you know , I was reading
42:30something somewhere , that is probably
42:33my greatest strength .
42:36People don't see that ; they only judge
42:38what they see online , and no one sees
42:40what happens afterward , or how you are
42:42affected by comments and various
42:44strange headlines that appear . I have
42:47questions about that too . And how ,
42:49exactly , do you deal with it ? But damn ,
42:53I sometimes get the feeling that people
42:55really think you , or other famous
42:57people , are just some kind of pawns who
42:59show up , totally devoid of emotion , and
43:01that they can generally write , scream ,
43:03and say whatever they want about you .
43:07And that is very sad . That’s why I
43:09think this song resonated so strongly ,
43:11because it came from your lips .
43:13Mhm .
43:14And it connected really well .
43:15Yes . And , well , a plus-size model
43:19accused me of not having the right to
43:21sing about imperfections because I’m
43:23too skinny .
43:30Imagine that , but I’ll tell you , I
43:31was actually happy when I saw it ,
43:33because people shut her down really
43:35quickly , so to speak . But I was happy
43:40when I saw it , because it was exactly
43:42an example
43:45of what we are struggling with in our
43:47society , right ?
43:48What an absurdity . I’ll tell you that
43:51the most insecure girls I know are the
43:52most beautiful girls I know .
43:55Models . I agree . It’s total nonsense .
43:58I agree with you completely that it’s
44:00very sad , but damn , something will
44:02always be " too much . "
44:04For someone , something will always be
44:06too much .
44:08That’s why this is my lesson as well .
44:11I know it’s a cliché , and you’ve
44:13probably heard it since childhood many
44:15times . You’re not tomato soup , not
44:17everyone has to like you . I always
44:19wanted everyone to like me . So badly .
44:22That's how it is . Yeah . I was always
44:24craving that acceptance ,
44:27wanting to be accepted by the group , to
44:29feel that sense of belonging . I’m
44:31probably not the only one , most people ,
44:33I bet ,
44:34but I think school creates that in us
44:36too , because no one at school tells you
44:37that you don't have to be liked by
44:39everyone ; you just go to the front of
44:41the class to answer
44:44and it's a success if the class isn't
44:45laughing at you . So I think that really
44:48instills something in us , and school
44:50doesn't prepare us for adulthood at all
44:52. Quite the contrary , they judge and
44:57define us based on whether I crammed
44:58yesterday , even though I can forget it
45:00all by tomorrow . So it’s really quite
45:05sad , and I think that songs and
45:07messages or conversations like this are
45:09mega important .
45:14You know , I always envied my sister
45:16Wiktoria because she went against the
45:18grain , always going to school dressed
45:20totally differently from everyone else .
45:26Pink hair , just clothes that were , you
45:28know ,
45:30outside the norm . I laugh that she was
45:32always a bit of an " alternative " girl ,
45:34but , like , truly in her own style . She
45:37still is , but as a young girl , I always
45:39needed to look like everyone else . Even
45:44though my grandmother moved to the
45:46States back in the PRL era and would
45:47sometimes send me packages with clothes
45:49you couldn't get in Poland . I didn't
45:52want to wear them because I was
45:53embarrassed that I didn't look like
45:55everyone else in , I don't know , H & M or
45:56Zara or somewhere like that ,
45:59and I always just wanted to blend into
46:00the background a bit .
46:02Mhm .
46:04It's honestly amazing that I eventually
46:05broke through in my adult life .
46:08I just had to find that strength within
46:10myself or realize that this wasn't the
46:12right way to go . Yeah , and started .
46:14Well , nowadays people call me a
46:16trendsetter , or , I don't know , girls
46:18want to dress like me or get their hair
46:20done like mine , and my hairdresser or
46:22nail tech will say : " Yeah , you got your
46:24hair done , and now girls come in asking
46:26for the ' Julia ' . " And back then , I was
46:30the girl who wanted to be like everyone
46:31else . I just craved that belonging ,
46:35that acceptance , wanting everyone to
46:37like me so much , and only with a lot of
46:39experience — definitely with building
46:41my own resume , because that gave me
46:43huge , huge strength , I won't lie — did
46:48I realize that , damn , there's never
46:50going to be a situation where everyone
46:52likes me .
46:54It's better to be loved and hated ,
46:56because at least it means you’re
46:57someone . And I think that is also some
47:02part of my success . I think that to be
47:06a trendsetter you also had to toughen
47:08up a bit and go through that moment
47:10when people started saying okay , half
47:12the people said great , she’s
47:13wonderful , beautiful , an amazing
47:15actress , but the other half
47:18was the complete opposite , and I think
47:20that moment when it hurt , hardened you
47:22enough that later you decided , well , I
47:23don't really care , they’re going to
47:25talk anyway . You know , when did I
47:27figure that out ? When I started singing
47:30, I was already acting in some things ,
47:34people wrote : " God , let her stick to
47:36acting and stop singing , " and then the
47:38other way around . " God , let her stop
47:41acting already , let her stick to
47:42singing because she’s better at that .
47:44" Some say this , some say that . And I
47:46think ,
47:46you could go crazy with this . So who am
47:48I supposed to listen to ? Exactly ,
47:50yourself .
47:51Mhm .
47:52Yourself , because you can’t please
47:54everyone . When you really , when you
47:57really understand that , yes , but for
47:59real , not just talking , but truly
48:00understand it deep down . Oh my God ,
48:03what a weight off my heart . Suddenly ,
48:06suddenly life is beautiful and also
48:07there's a lightness ,
48:10that kind of lightness , a beautiful
48:12lightness of being , the unbearable
48:14lightness of being , I’m not laughing ,
48:16but indeed everything suddenly becomes
48:18easier . I feel like it also opens you
48:22up to trying new things , because when
48:23you stop fearing that someone will
48:25judge you and say : " Oh , don't do that ,
48:27don't even try it . " I’m like : " Dude ,
48:30but I’m going to try it anyway . " I
48:32want , I want to experience this and try
48:34it .
48:34No one is going to live your life for
48:36you .
48:37Exactly .
48:38That really is a lesson for all of us .
48:44Okay , so tell me then , concerts , for me
48:46personally , that’s unimaginable
48:48stress , just to go out in front of such
48:51an audience on a live stage , there are
48:53no retakes there , no edits . I work with
48:57a camera every day , but I have the
48:59possibility to edit things , and it’s
49:01much easier .
49:02What happens before you go out ? Those
49:05last 10 minutes before going on stage .
49:07What happens backstage ? Do you have any
49:10rituals ?
49:13Well , those last 10 minutes , when I'm
49:15already made up , plugged in , microphone
49:17on , everything . I ask everyone to leave
49:23my room and I stay there by myself and
49:25do a vocal and diction warm-up and some
49:27breathing exercises . Mhm .
49:33Which makes that stress , you know , sort
49:35of go away . That’s so-called
49:38breathing , square or box breathing , I
49:40think . So you have four in to inhale ,
49:44four hold , four exhale , hold , and so on
49:46, right ? And if you do that for a
49:51minute or two , I really feel centered
49:53then .
49:55Mhm . Grounded and ready to take on that
50:00incredibly strong adrenaline
50:05and dopamine as well , that awaits me
50:06behind the curtain , on stage . Well , I
50:09love concerts . That is , that is my
50:11favorite professional activity , and
50:15that contact with the audience is
50:17indescribable , it’s like a legal drug
50:19, you know .
50:20Mhm .
50:20Something beautiful . Something
50:22beautiful . It’s hard to fall asleep
50:23afterward , though .
50:24Mhm . Very much so , and sometimes I sit
50:28up until 3:00 a.m. feeling that ringing
50:30in my ears , scrolling through how
50:32people tagged me , you know , how they
50:34had fun . I’m always very interested
50:37in that , so I really check those things
50:41and I share all , all those stories .
50:43Yes , that’s true . I see it after your
50:45concerts , that you share a lot of
50:47stories . I just get so excited about it
50:49, I’m so happy about it , and I have
50:51huge gratitude in myself that I can
50:52even do this and that these people come
50:54to these concerts . That is simply the ,
50:58it is the most beautiful reward , and
51:00for me , it is the indicator of my work
51:02in general . Not any awards , not any ,
51:08you know , internet comments even , but
51:10just those people who bought a ticket
51:12for my special concert , came and
51:13experienced it with me , and really
51:15sincerely wish me well , because it’s
51:17also different at festivals when there
51:19are more artists , right ?
51:23A mix ,
51:24a mix , people come there for you , but
51:26some also check how Wieniawa will do .
51:31But a concert tour and those solo
51:33concerts show your true fans who
51:35seriously know every song by heart
51:40and sing , record , have fun with you ,
51:42and then wait to see if you come out . I
51:44always try to go out to those fans , or
51:46I’ve started organizing Meet and
51:47Greets too . These are also super
51:50moments when I can just authentically
51:52get to know my listener . And to see
51:57such devotion , it’s just mega cute ,
51:59and they often bring some letters or
52:01some sweet , very personalized gifts .
52:05Jesus , how I love that . Or once a girl
52:08came up to me and asked me to draw
52:09something on a card for her , and she
52:11later got it tattooed on herself .
52:14That’s a big responsibility .
52:17And she actually came to another
52:18concert later and showed it already
52:20tattooed . Well , there are such little
52:22treats , like , see how she talks about
52:23it . I’m smiling the whole time
52:26because it’s just so nice , and it’s
52:27for moments like these that I create ;
52:29for moments like these , I don’t want
52:31to say it , but I will — that I live .
52:34Great . It’s nice to hear that because
52:37you can really tell how incredibly
52:38excited you are about it . I think that
52:42these days , getting someone to actually
52:43show up is harder than getting them to
52:45buy a product , because we’re all
52:47locking ourselves away at home , and we
52:48have everything right at our fingertips
52:50. Yes . People can watch you online , too
52:54, right ? And I know from my own
52:57experience how hard it is for me to get
52:59motivated to go out to a restaurant or
53:00just socialize in general . I’m very
53:06comfortable on my own and I love
53:08staying in , so it’s a big measure of
53:10success these days when you get people
53:12to show up rather than just selling a
53:13ticket — even online for an event ,
53:15since we have so many options now . So I
53:20think it’s great , and I totally
53:22don’t blame you for feeling such
53:23satisfaction that there are so many
53:25people there . It’s beautiful . It’s
53:29great that you’re bringing this up
53:30because it’s currently a curse for
53:32both the music and film industries .
53:37Especially now during this , the winter
53:38of the century .
53:40Mhm .
53:42Cinemas have really declined .
53:45Mhm .
53:46Very few viewers are coming to the
53:48theaters . Well , the film " Dalej Jazda "
53:50actually did pretty well , but still
53:52worse than the first one , even though I
53:54think the sequel is much better , much
53:56funnier , and you guys really have to go
53:59see it . Yeah , I see that it really is a
54:01problem . Artists aren't selling out
54:03their concerts . Artists aren't touring
54:05because they're afraid they won't sell
54:07enough tickets . There was also a huge
54:08oversaturation over the last few years
54:10with various concerts , festivals , and
54:11everything else .
54:12Festivals , yes .
54:13Especially festivals , yes .
54:15And it's always the same faces at these
54:17festivals , I feel . So I also get the
54:20feeling that the topic has simply worn
54:22a bit thin , but it’s still worth it
54:24— it's still worth coming to concerts ,
54:26socializing , and experiencing music
54:28live . That is beautiful . Plus , honestly
54:31, nothing motivates us artists like a
54:33full audience . Though , I personally
54:37operate on the principle that even if I
54:39had to play for three people , I would
54:41always give it 150 % . Out of pure
54:44respect for the viewer . But as I said ,
54:46it’s great that you mentioned it ,
54:48because ... people have really shut
54:52themselves in at home . Winter has added
54:56its own contribution to that , and well ,
54:58people just don't want to go out , they
55:00aren't buying those tickets , so , well ,
55:02we'll see what happens . I hope the sun ,
55:07which will be here soon , is just around
55:09the corner , lurking , I hope it lifts us
55:11off these couches .
55:12Oh , yes . I hope so too , I really do .
55:15I'm waiting for it . It's just
55:16definitely much easier to go out in the
55:18spring .
55:19Well , no , that's true . I'm also
55:22addicted to the sun , to vitamin D.
55:24Whenever I can , I go somewhere in the
55:26autumn or winter because I can
55:27genuinely see the impact it has on my ,
55:29on my well-being , on , on my , on my
55:31mental health .
55:33No , absolutely , functioning in the sun
55:35in general , especially when you go from
55:37winter into the sunshine , I feel like
55:39I've been given a second life .
55:40Yes , even two days is enough later ,
55:42right ? Yes , definitely . Okay , let's get
55:45back to acting a bit , since I have a
55:47few questions about that too . Mmm , if
55:49you could say which production is
55:50particularly important to you and
55:52whether it was exceptionally difficult
55:54or maybe it taught you something ,
55:56or you were just surrounded by some
55:58wonderful people . Mhm . I have a few
56:04films like that which I'm glad I made .
56:09Each one has something special . For
56:13sure , the greatest adventure was the
56:14film , or rather the two two two parts
56:16of the film " Nobody Sleeps in the Woods
56:18Tonight . "
56:20I thought so . The first one
56:24that was a really great time ,
56:25especially in the second , during the
56:27second part , which almost nobody
56:29watched because unfortunately , this
56:31platform had some strange , well ,
56:36strange marketing strategy . Everyone
56:39saw the first one , nobody saw the
56:40second one , and the second one is
56:42really even more twisted . It's a funny
56:46convention , and my character is turned
56:48into a monster . And during the filming
56:54of that second part , for 25 days every
56:56day for 6 hours , I had makeup applied ,
56:58all those
57:016 hours
57:02prosthetics . Am I saying it right ?
57:04Prosthetics , prosthetics . Well , never
57:06mind .
57:06It's like artificial skin . Aha .
57:10First , they made a mold of my whole
57:11body , then they created this monster on
57:13top of it ,
57:16you know ? And then they glued on
57:18artificial skin , and all this gluing
57:20every day , an additional six
57:22every day , not additional , but it was
57:24already part of the work , and imagine ,
57:26you drive an hour and a half to the
57:28woods , because it was near Warsaw .
57:30Mhm .
57:32They apply makeup for 6 hours , so that
57:34you can only be on set for , well , how
57:36many hours max , 12 ? So let's say you
57:40can work for 4 hours . Mhm .
57:43So you show up to work for four hours ,
57:45and the rest you sit , because then they
57:47have to take off
57:48Yeah , yeah , yeah
57:49those , those prosthetics and then drive
57:51back home .
57:52Could you at least be on your phone ?
57:54Yes , I could , but not really , although
57:56at some moments no . One day , when I had
58:03a monster sex scene — yes , there is
58:05such a scene , maybe that’ll encourage
58:07you to watch the film — they literally
58:09had to cover my whole body in this
58:11monster skin , and that alone took 8
58:13hours ,
58:18so I arrived just to shoot this one
58:20scene , which was filmed in the dark ,
58:22and you can barely see anything anyway .
58:24Oh Jesus . At times I had a crisis ,
58:27thinking , God , why am I doing this ? Is
58:29this even worth the candle ?
58:30But ,
58:31but ultimately , I feel like , damn , that
58:33was the adventure of a lifetime and I
58:37love the people who made these
58:39productions . Young , brave , cool people
58:42in love with making films . So I
58:47remember it as an adventure . And when
58:51it comes to a role I like , I really
58:53like my role in the film " Unpredictable
58:55. " I think it’s one of my first roles
58:59on the big screen after starting my
59:05work in the theater .
59:07I simply see a huge leap in my skills
59:08from before the theater and after the
59:10theater .
59:13However , getting that , that lead role
59:16at the Garrison of Art , in the play "
59:18The Game , " what I do with Adam
59:19Boronowicz , was like an intensive ,
59:21accelerated theater school for me . And
59:26that was with Adam , who is , no matter
59:28what you say , a professor ,
59:30so I had him 24/7 for two months during
59:32rehearsals . And I still act with him to
59:35this day . I learned a lot from him , and
59:38it made me learn greater control over
59:44my body , facial expressions , and pauses
59:46. I understood that less is more , and I
59:50acted less intuitively and more
59:52consciously . And I definitely
59:55translated those lessons into my role
59:57in " Unpredictable " or even in the ones
59:59I’ve played now , like the film " I
1:00:01Want More " with Maciek Musiał , which
1:00:03was recently released . There are still
1:00:06two , but less so .
1:00:09Theater or cinema ? Theater or film .
1:00:14God , what questions . Either this
1:00:18difficulty . Difficulty . Weigh the
1:00:20difficulty . Theater is harder .
1:00:27Yes , no . Why ? Because in theater , when
1:00:33I was working on that role at the
1:00:34Garrison , you have two months ,
1:00:36sometimes more depending on the
1:00:37difficulty of the play and the text
1:00:39itself , but we had two full months in
1:00:41the theater . I would come in ; I
1:00:43actually said back then that I wouldn't
1:00:45take anything else , I wanted to focus
1:00:47only on this . Mhm .
1:00:48I would come to the theater with my
1:00:50script , sit for a solid , I don't know ,
1:00:5310 hours
1:00:54and we would read , read , read the role
1:00:56with Adam until the text started to
1:00:59sink in , sink in , sink in . you know , we
1:01:02talked about these characters , we dug
1:01:04into who they are , what their past is ,
1:01:06where these behaviors come from — it
1:01:08was really very fundamental work ,
1:01:15which made the premiere just a cherry
1:01:17on top . It wasn't such a stress anymore
1:01:21, because I had really prepared the
1:01:22role so well . Plus this role also
1:01:27evolved a lot over the years . I have
1:01:31the impression that my character
1:01:33matured and changed along with me . And
1:01:36I also see in myself as I play it that
1:01:38I get moved in completely different
1:01:40moments , I get angry in completely
1:01:41different moments , I scream , or I
1:01:43experience some completely new emotion .
1:01:45So I don't know if you can call it
1:01:51harder or easier . In my opinion ,
1:01:53theater work is better and more
1:01:55interesting , because you can simply go
1:01:57deeper . In film , and in a series even
1:02:00more so , it's often the case that you
1:02:02get the script very shortly before
1:02:03production .
1:02:05Mhm .
1:02:05Especially in a series . Sometimes it
1:02:07happens that you get the scenes a day
1:02:09before and you just have to , you know ,
1:02:10memorize it by heart . Sometimes you're
1:02:12even learning your lines while in
1:02:14makeup and you don't really have the
1:02:15opportunity to go any deeper . Unless
1:02:18you are a truly outstanding actor who
1:02:20has so much experience and has played
1:02:22in so many things that you have it down
1:02:24pat — well , I'm not that experienced
1:02:26and I still have a lot ahead of me .
1:02:29However , I see that with each new role ,
1:02:31I have more and more ease in quickly
1:02:33stepping into a character . But it's
1:02:36definitely harder . So I think I would
1:02:39say , all things considered , that film
1:02:41is harder . You have one chance .
1:02:44Film and series , in the sense of the
1:02:46screen in general . Yes , you only have
1:02:48one chance .
1:02:49Mhm .
1:02:50And then you watch that character in
1:02:52the film for the rest of time exactly
1:02:54as you played it during that one
1:02:56shooting day , for example . No ,
1:02:58theater is associated with emotionality
1:03:00for me , and I think you need to be
1:03:02sensitive to go deeper into a character
1:03:04. And here , let's move into the topic
1:03:08of relationships , since you said you
1:03:10are a romantic . So my question is : what
1:03:16fails you in your everyday
1:03:17relationships with men , and what fails
1:03:19you in yourself ? Often in my
1:03:23relationships , what was the main reason
1:03:30for failure was that imbalance in
1:03:32feminine and masculine energy . that I
1:03:38have a lot of masculine energy in me ,
1:03:40and that is something I have to work on
1:03:42, to sometimes let go , not be such a
1:03:44controlling woman and so forcibly
1:03:46independent , because that was instilled
1:03:48in me since I was a child : " you have to
1:03:50be independent " and so on , which is
1:03:52also an extreme , because yes , it's
1:03:54important , but without exaggeration .
1:04:02I’m currently learning to have more
1:04:04lightness in myself , to stop proving at
1:04:06every turn that I don’t need a man ,
1:04:07because actually , I do , and I’m
1:04:09looking for that softness within me .
1:04:15That is something I’m working on . The
1:04:19reason things failed for me might have
1:04:20been because I was very much in my
1:04:22masculine energy . What I often lacked
1:04:28was having a man take the lead in the
1:04:30relationship , someone who says : " It’s
1:04:32okay , you don't have to deal with this ,
1:04:34I'll take care of it , don't worry . " You
1:04:42know , I realized I need — it’s funny ,
1:04:44because I was talking about this just
1:04:46yesterday with Stefan , the dancer I was
1:04:48with on Dancing with the Stars , my
1:04:49friend , we’re doing a dance show
1:04:51together now . We were talking about
1:04:56what ballroom dancing does to women ,
1:04:58that that in ballroom dancing , the man
1:05:05has to lead , and why we love that so
1:05:07much and then , you know , look for that
1:05:09in men in our private lives .
1:05:13Because it’s the man who should lead
1:05:15and give you a framework
1:05:17as if
1:05:19and you just float and dance and be
1:05:20yourself within that , but someone still
1:05:22has you in such a ...
1:05:25like you feel a sense of protection ,
1:05:27maybe
1:05:29and that kind of guidance . I’m
1:05:31looking for that now , for someone to
1:05:33lead me a bit in my private life ,
1:05:35instead of everything being on my head ,
1:05:37all the serious decisions resting on my
1:05:39shoulders , constantly wearing the pants
1:05:40. I finally want to wear skirts .
1:05:45I have the feeling we’re returning to
1:05:47something more stereotypical , perhaps .
1:05:49Yes . But where did that come from for
1:05:51you ? I'm not saying — because there was
1:05:53a big extreme before , you know , " woman
1:05:55in the kitchen " and so on . I'm not
1:05:59surprised feminism went to the current
1:06:01extreme because we women had enough , we
1:06:03wanted to , you know , get revenge in a
1:06:05way , but in my opinion , the time is
1:06:07coming — I hope — for that balance
1:06:09again , right ? Meaning mutual respect ,
1:06:14but I don't know . It seems to me that
1:06:15many women look for the final word from
1:06:17a man , even though we don't like to
1:06:19admit it , because : " No , I want to be
1:06:21independent and generally , I want to
1:06:23decide just as much as you do . " But
1:06:26inside , there is something that wants
1:06:27him to make the final decision , and
1:06:29when I don't know what to do , for him
1:06:31to say : " Stop . " I know .
1:06:33Me exactly . Well , that's cool ,
1:06:37especially when I talk to women like us
1:06:39, meaning , you know , independent ,
1:06:41strong , professionally very active ,
1:06:47it’s often exactly what these women
1:06:49are missing and what they’re looking
1:06:50for . Taking that responsibility off
1:06:55their shoulders in their private lives ,
1:06:57I mean , you know , they look for
1:06:58lightness at home because they carry so
1:07:00much professionally ,
1:07:05so that’s what I currently need .
1:07:07I get the feeling that men are also
1:07:09afraid of independent women .
1:07:10A bit , yes .
1:07:11Because it’s often hard for them to
1:07:13keep up , so
1:07:14That’s true , but it’s also a lesson
1:07:16for us . Sometimes you have to learn to
1:07:18let go ,
1:07:20and we can get so stubborn , so it works
1:07:22both ways . Well , I’m not surprised
1:07:24sometimes that they’re afraid of us .
1:07:26Exactly . Tell me , do you think being
1:07:29Julia Wieniawa is a plus when meeting
1:07:31new men , or not ?
1:07:34No.
1:07:35I’ll say it like that . No ,
1:07:37unfortunately not . First of all , I
1:07:42can’t use dating apps , although even
1:07:43if I could , I’ll tell you , I’m not
1:07:45an app person at all , because I don’t
1:07:47like texting at all . I don’t like
1:07:52meeting someone new on some app . It’s
1:07:54just weird to me in general .
1:07:58I’d rather meet someone in a natural
1:07:59way ,
1:08:01but I won’t hide the fact that I have
1:08:05happened to meet someone online
1:08:08from abroad , and that’s always very
1:08:10nice . So , abroad it might work
1:08:12reasonably well , but
1:08:14in Poland , in Poland it doesn’t .
1:08:15It’s hard for me to meet someone new .
1:08:17It’s hard for me to meet someone
1:08:18outside of the industry . Everyone tells
1:08:20me , " You need to be with someone
1:08:21outside the industry . " Okay , fine , I
1:08:23know that already , but how am I
1:08:24supposed to do that ? Should I start
1:08:26playing padel ? I don’t know , should I
1:08:28start going to the library or , or , or
1:08:30where ? Because in Warsaw , in all the
1:08:33places I go , it’s the same faces all
1:08:35the time . Besides , I’m sure you’ve
1:08:39experienced it yourself , you want to go
1:08:41out , you know , let fate take its course
1:08:43, and then you go to an event and
1:08:45it’s the same , the same faces again ,
1:08:47and either
1:08:52well , and a lot of gay guys , especially
1:08:57around us , so it’s not easy , with all
1:08:59due respect . Listen , maybe you could ,
1:09:03for example , there are a lot of
1:09:04retreats and workshops organized for
1:09:06Poles abroad , you know , you get a
1:09:08different vibe .
1:09:11Or maybe just abroad , maybe you should
1:09:12look there . Listen , we’ll see . I’m
1:09:16not pushing anything . I have an
1:09:17approach that whatever happens , happens
1:09:19.
1:09:22Since it hasn’t happened yet , you
1:09:24know , that I haven’t met that one
1:09:26person .
1:09:28Mhm . Then there’s a reason for it .
1:09:30Maybe I have a few things left to
1:09:31accomplish right now that I need to
1:09:33focus on . And no matter what you say , a
1:09:35relationship is a full-time job .
1:09:38Yes ,
1:09:39it's a lot of work and it's not just ,
1:09:41you know , larks . Larks are for the
1:09:47first few months , and after that ,
1:09:49it’s really hard work to get in sync ,
1:09:51to learn how to listen to each other ,
1:09:53to respect one another and not be
1:09:55jealous , to support each other in ups
1:09:57and downs , and to know how to adapt to
1:09:59someone , which is also a big skill .
1:10:06Well yeah , you did say you don't like
1:10:08to adapt . I don't , but you know what ,
1:10:12privately , once I fall in love , I
1:10:14really am such a ... such a ... such a
1:10:20Julia . Really , I am , I am , I am a very
1:10:23sweet version of myself .
1:10:26I believe you .
1:10:27Well , maybe you can't tell by looking
1:10:29at me , but yes , that's how it is . Well ,
1:10:33listen , I couldn't skip this question ,
1:10:35since for a long time the media has
1:10:36constantly linked you with my current
1:10:38fiancé .
1:10:40That's right .
1:10:41The articles that appear are just about
1:10:43him . I read them and always see your
1:10:45name there .
1:10:46And I am very sorry for that , because I
1:10:48know how annoying that can be . I
1:10:51generally wanted to ask how you react
1:10:53to the media linking you like that ,
1:10:54whether it’s with Tymek or other men .
1:10:57It used to irritate me a lot , but now I
1:11:02have an attitude of , well , damn ,
1:11:03there's nothing I can do about it ,
1:11:05they'll write what they'll write .
1:11:07I think to myself , fine , let them write
1:11:10.
1:11:11M , like , it’s my business who I’m
1:11:16seeing . Most of those headlines are
1:11:19completely off base , and it always
1:11:21makes me laugh ; I even smile at the
1:11:23fact that , hm , it's interesting , I'm
1:11:25supposedly seeing this person , when
1:11:27it’s completely different , I'm
1:11:28actually seeing someone else entirely ,
1:11:30so I've gained some distance from it .
1:11:34But it was irritating more than once
1:11:35because , for example , I wanted to meet
1:11:37someone , I don't know , for a date , I
1:11:39wasn't sure about someone yet , and
1:11:40suddenly someone took a picture of me ,
1:11:42and even though I wasn't sure about
1:11:44them yet , they were already writing
1:11:46that I was seeing someone , when in fact
1:11:48that wasn't the case at all . You know ,
1:11:51I’ve experienced a lot of
1:11:52unpleasantness because of that . And as
1:11:55for the crush , ugh , that’s just total
1:11:59absurdity . Because I think it started
1:12:02when he answered a question in some
1:12:03interview about who his media crush was
1:12:05. Hey , I'm waiting for some news . Maybe
1:12:08you'll tell me something I don't know
1:12:10about your relationship .
1:12:12I don't think you'll find out much here
1:12:14, but I can tell you how it was from my
1:12:15perspective .
1:12:16Mhm .
1:12:19Well , I saw that fans were tagging me
1:12:21and sending me this fragment of Tymek's
1:12:23interview where he apparently said who
1:12:25his media crush was , and he mentioned
1:12:27me . So his fans created this hashtag "
1:12:32Tymek you must , " and they started
1:12:33writing it under every post of mine ,
1:12:35and I was in a happy relationship back
1:12:37then ,
1:12:39well , until a certain point , but I was
1:12:41in a relationship .
1:12:42Okay . And I won't hide the fact that it
1:12:44was very unpleasant for my partner at
1:12:46the time , because he was like , " what is
1:12:48this ? " So , it just sort of spiraled ,
1:12:52and finally , Tymek actually wrote to me
1:12:54on Instagram , saying , " Hey , I wanted to
1:12:56apologize for my fans , but generally ,
1:12:59it's not really my fault , you know ? " I
1:13:02didn't start this or anything . And that
1:13:04was very nice of him . And so , you know ,
1:13:09one thing led to another , chat-chat , I
1:13:11invited him once when we started having
1:13:13contact , I invited him to my concert at
1:13:15Palladium , he stopped by with some
1:13:17friend of his , even to some after-party
1:13:19, and finally , we all ended up at an
1:13:21after-party with my whole crew of
1:13:23friends . An after-party at that friend
1:13:27of his , the tattoo guy .
1:13:29I don't remember his name . Yeah , so .
1:13:32Yeah .
1:13:32So it was super funny , and you know , in
1:13:34my life , I've only met up with him like
1:13:37twice .
1:13:38And it was very , very friendly . So
1:13:41honey , you have nothing to worry about ,
1:13:43and I feel even more sorry for you that
1:13:45you have to read these rumors at all .
1:13:47Because , you know ,
1:13:48you hit the right person , because I am
1:13:50very resilient . Well , that's good ,
1:13:52that's good .
1:13:53I'm totally relaxed , but I had to ask
1:13:54you , because I've read a lot , you know .
1:13:58But that's very good . It's good to
1:14:00clear such things up , but as I say ,
1:14:01it's enough for someone to take a
1:14:03picture of me sometimes with my friend
1:14:05or some guy , even if he's gay ,
1:14:08and then they get linked to me as my
1:14:09boyfriend . It cuts off your chances a
1:14:14bit , because if some guy from the
1:14:16industry reads something like that ,
1:14:17well ,
1:14:18he thinks I'm taken , you understand ?
1:14:21And that narrows my target even more ,
1:14:23so just like , it's plain to see . Just
1:14:27write that you're either single or
1:14:28taken , and then the media won't change
1:14:30it .
1:14:30Exactly , exactly that . Yeah .
1:14:33It used to say that too , after all .
1:14:34Or " it's complicated . "
1:14:36For example , for example . So listen ,
1:14:38Did you also once have " nobility
1:14:40doesn't work " as your Facebook status ?
1:14:42No , I actually avoided that description
1:14:43, but I did label my relationships .
1:14:45You labeled them ? I always had " it's
1:14:47complicated , " because I wasn't in a
1:14:49relationship , and I didn't want to look
1:14:51like a lonely girl , so " it's
1:14:52complicated . "
1:14:54Exactly .
1:14:55Tell me , is there a lot of love in your
1:14:58life , and if so , how do you feel it and
1:15:00where ?
1:15:02Despite everything , yes . I have a lot
1:15:04of love from my mom .
1:15:06Mhm .
1:15:06From my family in general , from my
1:15:09sisters . I have super wonderful friends
1:15:12I can count on . Also my team , which
1:15:17I’ve built over the years , these
1:15:19people are actually my friends now , and
1:15:21I feel immense support from them . I
1:15:28also think that I am quite expressive
1:15:33and have a lot of love in me ,
1:15:36and I would call myself an empath too ,
1:15:38but I won’t hide that this , well ,
1:15:40love drives me . I am aware of that .
1:15:44Maybe I should work on that . But it is
1:15:46my fuel . And I also have my dog . Oh ,
1:15:49I’ll show you here , my , my little son
1:15:51. Oh .
1:15:53This is my greatest love . My cure for
1:15:56all evil . He is so sweet .
1:15:58Yes . I sometimes even get the
1:16:01impression that he is a reincarnation
1:16:03of , I don't know , my
1:16:04great-great-grandfather or someone , I
1:16:06don't know , he's like my guardian .
1:16:10It's as if , as if someone sent him to
1:16:12me . You know what I mean ? He is so
1:16:14smart . He understands all my emotions .
1:16:18I mean , I just talk to him in Polish
1:16:19and he gets it all . But listen , I have
1:16:22the same feeling with mine . I think
1:16:25that when you catch a bond like that , I
1:16:26feel like I'm my dog's mom .
1:16:28I obviously say " my dog-son . "
1:16:31Yeah , yeah .
1:16:31My wonderful dog-son .
1:16:33I have a daughter , actually , but I
1:16:35totally understand that .
1:16:36I totally understand that . Okay , let's
1:16:39say the topic of relationships is
1:16:40behind us , I’d still like to ask
1:16:42about your influencer career ,
1:16:46because that is also part of your
1:16:48profession , and you once said that to
1:16:50create , you have to find the " meat , " to
1:16:52convey value in your content . How do
1:16:57you find that within yourself ? A lot of
1:16:58young people would like to be active or
1:17:00got a good start , for example , in a
1:17:02show . And how do you find that later on
1:17:04? How to do it , in your opinion ? If you
1:17:06could give some advice to people who
1:17:08want to know
1:17:08how to run social media or how to find
1:17:10that " meat " ? Because
1:17:13Both , basically , because I also think
1:17:15that when it comes to running social
1:17:16media , I agree that you have to find
1:17:18that " meat " and that providing value in
1:17:20content is super important now , because
1:17:22the days when you'd suddenly gain
1:17:2450,000 followers overnight are long
1:17:26gone . That's long gone .
1:17:29Gone . I can even see from my own
1:17:30Instagram that it's been standing still
1:17:32for a year now .
1:17:33It's hard to build up those socials at
1:17:35once , so how do you find that within
1:17:37yourself ?
1:17:39Maybe let's start with the fact that
1:17:41I'm from a slightly different era , and
1:17:43for me , the most important thing was ,
1:17:45above all , that so-called " meat . " And I
1:17:49was already going to musical classes at
1:17:5212 or 13 , developing my passions ; I
1:17:54knew I wanted to be an artist . I knew I
1:17:59wanted to act , then that I wanted to
1:18:01sing , before that I danced , and most of
1:18:03all , I was developing those passions ,
1:18:05and social media started to build up on
1:18:07the side .
1:18:08So when I joined the show Rodzinka.pl ,
1:18:11I remember that day , suddenly going
1:18:13from zero to hero , in quotes , going
1:18:15from maybe zero — I mean , from 2,000
1:18:17followers on Instagram , I suddenly had
1:18:1935,000 . Those were the times when
1:18:21Maffashion was at her peak and had
1:18:23100,000 , so like ,
1:18:24that was really
1:18:25that was a lot , and I was like , wow .
1:18:28Yeah .
1:18:32But my Instagram was always based on
1:18:34showing my professional life behind the
1:18:36scenes , my passions , and of course some
1:18:38lifestyle , but very little of my
1:18:40private life . And now , oh , I see . And
1:18:48really , that success , the popularity
1:18:50and social media growth , was a side
1:18:52effect of my work on that " meat . " Let's
1:18:57call it that . I understand .
1:18:59But now , unfortunately , we're starting
1:19:01to see that when you ask a young person
1:19:03what they want to be , they want to be
1:19:05an influencer . Okay , but what do you
1:19:07want to influence these people with ?
1:19:09And there they have no answer to that
1:19:10question . So , first of all , let's ask
1:19:13ourselves who we even want to be , what
1:19:15we want to convey to these people , what
1:19:17values , what excites us , and to really
1:19:19have some kind of real trade in hand ,
1:19:26some real skill and passion , talent
1:19:27that you can then convey in an
1:19:29interesting way on Instagram , and then ,
1:19:31believe me , it will grow much more
1:19:33organically than if you just ... Mhm .
1:19:39But once you find that " meat , " Gosh ,
1:19:42it's terribly hard to say there's , you
1:19:44know , a key to success , because there
1:19:46are certainly many . I also don't hide
1:19:48the fact that I was very lucky to have
1:19:50a trampoline in the form of television
1:19:52and the media . That definitely helped
1:19:57me a lot to grow my Instagram account ,
1:19:59and I'm also very grateful that I found
1:20:00myself in this media space exactly when
1:20:02there was a demand for it and when it
1:20:04was growing so quickly .
1:20:08Now , to have as many followers as I do ,
1:20:11it's almost impossible . Or you have to
1:20:14be really , really , really consistent .
1:20:17For example , like influencers who are
1:20:18suddenly everywhere overnight , you know
1:20:20? So , I mean , that does happen . However
1:20:23, it is very difficult to reach that
1:20:27level , because as you said , the
1:20:31algorithms have changed a bit , and so
1:20:33on . Plus , there's also huge competition
1:20:36. that
1:20:37everyone wants to be , you know ? But
1:20:42that's why I think there's so much
1:20:44similar content out there again , so
1:20:46being yourself is , in my opinion , the
1:20:48benchmark and something that will set
1:20:50us apart , but seriously yourself , not
1:20:52just pretending . " I want to be myself ,
1:20:57but like someone else , "
1:20:58just yourself . So , you're not a fan of
1:21:01copying content , meaning trying to
1:21:03succeed just because someone else went
1:21:05viral and I'll do something similar .
1:21:07I mean , it's known that sometimes on
1:21:09TikTok , for example , there are trends .
1:21:12I sometimes do them myself and I'm
1:21:14generally trying to find my way on
1:21:15TikTok , because it's not the first
1:21:17medium that I open , you know . Rather ,
1:21:19rather Instagram is the medium where I
1:21:21feel very comfortable . Mhm .
1:21:24TikTok is something new for me and , for
1:21:26example , you know , I've been working
1:21:27lately with a girl who helps me a bit
1:21:29in this world to tame it .
1:21:34Mhm .
1:21:38Well , but this is also a lesson for ,
1:21:40for example , older social media users .
1:21:46You have to be sharp , you have to be
1:21:48attentive , you have to follow those
1:21:49trends , because it's very easy to fall
1:21:51out of them . Even in my own example , I
1:21:56see that if you don't put work into it ,
1:21:58because it is work after all , then it's
1:22:00very easy to become a boomer these days
1:22:06.
1:22:07Okay . Another question about social
1:22:09media . Who do you watch on social media
1:22:11? Who inspires you like that ?
1:22:15Mainly my friends , but as for
1:22:19international people , I follow Sydney
1:22:25Sweeney , Timothée Chalamet , I follow
1:22:27Kendall Jenner , Hailey Bieber , I also
1:22:30really like her style .
1:22:33People often say that we , that we are
1:22:35similar and that I'm too inspired by
1:22:37her . No , we actually have something
1:22:39similar in our facial features , but
1:22:41that's nice . I actually take it as a
1:22:43compliment , and I really like her style
1:22:45a lot , so yeah , I like following her .
1:22:47Mhm .
1:22:48M FKA Twigs is one , because she is my
1:22:52favorite artist . I've been laughing
1:22:56lately that my entire Instagram is
1:22:58flooded mainly with interior design
1:23:00content .
1:23:02I am such a huge fan , a fan of
1:23:04furniture , vintage , retro furniture ,
1:23:07you know . You can tell by your interior
1:23:09, by your apartment , because it really
1:23:11says a lot about you . I mean , I heard
1:23:13you say in an interview once that your
1:23:15previous place didn't really express
1:23:17who you were and it lacked color . Well ,
1:23:19you can definitely see that now . You
1:23:21can see it right there .
1:23:22Yes , yes , yes . One of my ex-boyfriends
1:23:27really instilled in me this sensitivity
1:23:33to beauty , to art , and made me pay more
1:23:35attention to quality rather than
1:23:36quantity . And once I had the financial
1:23:42means to surround myself with art , I
1:23:44completely replaced all my furniture ,
1:23:45started buying paintings , and it really
1:23:47means something to me . It’s , it’s ,
1:23:52it’s great , and I’ve found a new
1:23:53passion in it . So , my Instagram lately
1:23:56is mostly about interiors . I'm also
1:23:58renovating my house in the woods right
1:24:00now , so that's why . But who else do I
1:24:03check out ? Maybe from Poland ? Well , my
1:24:06friends like Zali . Julka Pośnik . Ma
1:24:09Fashion . Oh , Ma Fashion . That’s ,
1:24:12that’s a girl I’ve been following
1:24:14forever , since before I was even known .
1:24:17Mhm .
1:24:20I remember she posted something , I
1:24:22commented on it , and she liked it and
1:24:24replied to my comment .
1:24:27I remember when I started writing , I
1:24:29was so excited . " Mom , Mom , Ma Fashion
1:24:31replied to my comment ! " And less than
1:24:34half a year later , she probably didn't
1:24:36even know who I was , I was just one of
1:24:38thousands of comments . Mhm .
1:24:41I released my first single , well ,
1:24:43single , some song , you know , that I
1:24:45wrote as a teenager just for fun .
1:24:48Mhm .
1:24:50And she shared that song on Facebook ,
1:24:52writing , " What a cool girl , " you know ,
1:24:54talking about my potential and so on .
1:24:58It got a ton of likes at the time and
1:25:00really boosted the views on that song ,
1:25:02I remember .
1:25:04And you know , years later — well , not
1:25:06years , but after some time — we had the
1:25:09chance to meet .
1:25:11I started building my career , we just
1:25:13became colleagues in the industry , and
1:25:15I’ll tell you , even to this day , that
1:25:17girl ... ... is just as supportive as she
1:25:20was back then . She is one of the few
1:25:26friends I have in the industry who I
1:25:28can say are truly real , sincere ,
1:25:30supportive , and not envious .
1:25:36I understand .
1:25:39And yeah , she still inspires me to this
1:25:41day , because I’ve always liked her
1:25:43style , how she presents herself on
1:25:45Instagram , her lifestyle ; she was
1:25:47always my inspiration for how to run
1:25:48social media . So I won't hide the fact
1:25:52that I learned how to do it from her .
1:25:54Well , I’ll tell you , that envy , um ,
1:25:56it holds me back a bit , for example ,
1:25:58because , well , I’m in this world a
1:26:00little , obviously not on that scale and
1:26:02I don’t know that many people , but I ,
1:26:04for example , consciously and I feel
1:26:06intentionally withdraw from it , because
1:26:08I’m very happy in my own world with
1:26:09my friends who aren't in this industry
1:26:11at all and
1:26:15somehow I’m not drawn there , and
1:26:16actually , I was even talking to Tymek
1:26:18recently about how I don’t know if
1:26:20I’d even want more ,
1:26:23because I feel super good right here
1:26:25where I am and with the people I have
1:26:26around me .
1:26:27Yes .
1:26:28And I’m also I I trust people and in
1:26:30general I believe in people .
1:26:33I have a feeling they might get
1:26:34disappointed .
1:26:35Yes , yes . Even so , I still believe . I
1:26:38believe that people are born good ,
1:26:46but then various e events , random
1:26:53things and so on , and contacts ,
1:26:55relationships with people make them
1:26:57take bad decisions , but in general we
1:26:59are good by nature , I hope . Yes , yes ,
1:27:03yes .
1:27:03I also believe that that’s how it is .
1:27:05Uh , well okay . Moving on to the segment
1:27:07with questions from the viewers ,
1:27:09because I remind you that episodes are
1:27:10always divided into two segments . First
1:27:12are the questions prepared by me , and
1:27:14later those prepared , or rather , those
1:27:16asked by you . You always have that
1:27:19opportunity on Instagram , so I
1:27:20cordially invite you , of course . Which
1:27:23Polish and foreign actress is your
1:27:25inspiration ?
1:27:27Polish and foreign . Polish . Well , I
1:27:34have a few . For example , Krystyna Janda
1:27:36. Oh , Kalina Jędrusik .
1:27:39Kalina Jędrusik . I love her .
1:27:41She was an actress and a singer , by the
1:27:43way .
1:27:44Mhm .
1:27:44That’s one of my inspirations from
1:27:46years ago . I love her her roles , but
1:27:49also her life story . Okay .
1:27:53It’s very interesting , inspiring .
1:27:57I’ll leave it at that . And as for
1:28:00abroad , of the young ones , certainly
1:28:02Zendaya’s career . inspires me and is
1:28:06just quite similar to mine and gives me
1:28:07some kind of hope . Um , well , and
1:28:10speaking of inspirations .
1:28:12Um , I really like Emma Stone , for
1:28:15example ,
1:28:17but I was supposed to say one , so I
1:28:18won’t go on .
1:28:21Do you have any thoughts after the
1:28:22campaign ? Is poverty a state of mind ?
1:28:27Let’s start with the fact that I
1:28:28didn’t say those words . That’s
1:28:32probably the whole point . They didn’t
1:28:35come out of my mouth during that
1:28:36interview . Basically , I was asked in an
1:28:41entertainment program where someone
1:28:43interrupts you non-stop , you can’t
1:28:45finish your sentence , your thought . I
1:28:50was asked in a very sneaky way by a pro
1:28:56about a topic that is just
1:28:58controversial , as it turned out later ,
1:29:00about , well , money , the topic of money ,
1:29:02religion , and so on . This is a very
1:29:07sensitive topic , and the only thing I
1:29:09regret is that I answered this question
1:29:11on that show , because if I had answered
1:29:13this question for example right now to
1:29:15you , during this podcast or during
1:29:17another , during another conversation
1:29:18where I have time to think about what I
1:29:20want to say , where I have time to
1:29:22expand on the topic , to say , to mention
1:29:24the pros and cons .
1:29:28uh of a given event . It would have been
1:29:35perceived completely differently .
1:29:37Okay . Do you believe in signs from the
1:29:39universe ?
1:29:42Yes .
1:29:43I do believe . I believe in signs from
1:29:46the universe . I also believe that
1:29:49everything happens for a reason , and I
1:29:51believe that we have our own free will ,
1:29:53of course , but I have the feeling that
1:29:55certain things are written in the stars
1:29:56.
1:29:58Mhm . Here is a question that I think is
1:30:01the most interesting of all the
1:30:02questions from viewers . Sorry to
1:30:05everyone else , but this is my favorite .
1:30:08If you could ask one question to a
1:30:09higher power , what would you ask ?
1:30:15What happens after death ?
1:30:16Okay .
1:30:17I am very afraid of death .
1:30:19Yes . You wonder about what happens
1:30:21after
1:30:22Yes . I love life so much . My vision of
1:30:30hell , if it exists , is the
1:30:31consciousness of nothingness .
1:30:35Okay , okay , that's heavy .
1:30:38Like , you understand that you are dying
1:30:40, you still have consciousness , but
1:30:42it's dark , for example
1:30:44and you know that the world goes on
1:30:45without you . Oh my God , it's terrible
1:30:47that you'd have eternal FOMO . I was
1:30:49just about to say , you have FOMO , you
1:30:51know , it's like that kind of FOMO . Yeah
1:30:53,
1:30:53yeah , yeah . I strongly believe that
1:30:56there is something after death , and I
1:30:58think that this faith gives you such
1:31:03hope . No , I totally don't understand
1:31:05atheists . I mean , I respect them , but I
1:31:08don't understand , because I would , I
1:31:10would be terrified
1:31:11generally , yeah . I also , I think in
1:31:13general that every person should
1:31:14believe in something , because it gives
1:31:16you , it sets a path , right ?
1:31:17Yes . The vision of reincarnation is
1:31:19also cool . That could also be okay .
1:31:21It is interesting . It is
1:31:22It is interesting , right ? Well , it is
1:31:24interesting , but damn , that's a heavy
1:31:26topic . Heavy topic , isn't it ?
1:31:28Heavy , yes . Well , I wouldn't want to ,
1:31:30uh , uh , transform , reincarnate into , I
1:31:33don't know , some kind of bug , for
1:31:35example . The worst .
1:31:37Well , exactly , with these animals it's
1:31:39like
1:31:40yeah
1:31:40so risky .
1:31:42M , how do you define happiness today ?
1:31:46Peace , security .
1:31:48Mhm . peace , security . Does fame give
1:31:54you more control over your life , or
1:31:56does it take it away ? Both , really , but
1:32:03it gives me a bit — I know that in many
1:32:05places I hold the cards and I'm the one
1:32:07in control of the situation , but on the
1:32:09other hand , I have absolutely no
1:32:11control over what is written about me ,
1:32:13what people think , what they say , or
1:32:15what version of me they pass on . You
1:32:20have no control over that . That is
1:32:23I guess we , everyday people — let's say
1:32:25those who aren't in the media , or
1:32:27aren't media figures at all , or less so
1:32:29— we also don't have control over that
1:32:31.
1:32:31Well , actually , yes .
1:32:33Everyone in life is perceived in their
1:32:35own way , not just you , it’s just that
1:32:37for you the scale is a bit larger . Yes .
1:32:40Well , I don't have control over the
1:32:42media , but otherwise , fame and
1:32:47popularity probably gave me control
1:32:49over my life , because they gave me that
1:32:56sense of independence , certainly the
1:32:58financial aspect that popularity
1:33:00brought , which made it so I have
1:33:02control over my life . Mhm . So if I had
1:33:08to weigh it all on a scale , I think
1:33:10it’s more about control after all .
1:33:15Last question to wrap up . Where do you
1:33:17draw your motivation from ?
1:33:20Aside from HD , sorry , but that just
1:33:22popped into my head .
1:33:24Yes , exactly . Lately , I've been having
1:33:29less and less of it . You picked a
1:33:31moment for this interview where I'm
1:33:33kind of hitting a slump . And I have to
1:33:38artificially stir up that motivation
1:33:40within myself . I'm having a moment ,
1:33:42I'll tell you , of deep reflection and a
1:33:44bit of sadness lately .
1:33:47I hope that it will pass along with the
1:33:49sun . However , for sure , I draw
1:33:55motivation from my fans . Mhm .
1:33:59That is more than certain .
1:34:03The fact that I have them , that I have
1:34:05someone to create for , and how
1:34:06beautifully they react and support me
1:34:08— that is what gives meaning to making
1:34:10art at all .
1:34:12Mhm .
1:34:14Every day , I find motivation in sports .
1:34:17Mhm . Sport is very much like , you know ,
1:34:19it calibrates me well . When there's
1:34:23nothing , when I don't feel like doing
1:34:24anything and it's hard to get out of
1:34:26bed , and generally , I'd rather change
1:34:28my name and move to the jungle , I just
1:34:30force myself to do some sport because I
1:34:31know it gives me the endorphins and
1:34:33dopamine that my body isn't producing .
1:34:38And that really fuels me , and then
1:34:39things are okay . Mm .
1:34:45And , well , my loved ones — my mom , my
1:34:47friends — are the people who really ,
1:34:50really believe in me , and when I have a
1:34:52worse moment , they remind me : " Hey ,
1:34:54you're on the right path , remember who
1:34:56you are , know your worth , and don't
1:34:59give up . " Oh , don't give up .
1:35:04I think you summed it up beautifully .
1:35:06We wish you a lot of happiness . I hope
1:35:10that your concert tour brings you lots
1:35:11of happiness and motivation , so thank
1:35:13you very much . And I have a little gift
1:35:17for you .
1:35:18Oh , here you go .
1:35:20I've been holding it the whole
1:35:21interview . Here you go . This is
1:35:23Thank you , with a little dedication .
1:35:26You know , we'll show it nicely to the
1:35:28camera now . Attention , attention . Here
1:35:32you go . And inside . Nice . Thank you .
1:35:41Listen , I encourage you to check out
1:35:43this record in person .
1:35:44You know , I wasn't sure whether to
1:35:46bring you vinyl or a CD , but
1:35:48CD is better .
1:35:49Yeah . You don't have a turntable ,
1:35:50you're not a record person .
1:35:52I am totally addicted to buying vinyl .
1:35:54It is my , my passion . But that's good .
1:35:57So I guessed right with the CD . Cool .
1:35:59Yeah , cool , cool . Well , I don't have
1:36:01one yet unfortunately . Maybe someday ,
1:36:03maybe when you do have one I'll
1:36:04definitely gift you one too .
1:36:06Awesome . Thanks a lot . Thank you . Thank
1:36:09you very much for this entire
1:36:11conversation . I hope the listeners
1:36:13enjoyed it . So what now ? I invite you
1:36:16all to the concerts .
1:36:17Yes , I invite you , my dears . Light
1:36:20Shadows Tour , Ralof Tour is already in
1:36:22April . Come by , it will be great . There
1:36:24will be a show , it will be , it will be
1:36:26beautiful .
1:36:26Go socialize . Yes . Get out of the house
1:36:29.
1:36:29Thanks a lot . Bye .
1:36:31Thank you .
