5:30actually on site they check
5:32approximately 1% of all our cases picked
5:35our target on site is ninety-nine point
5:39eight percent what this means to others
5:42we must make sure we pick the right case

8:13all times whilst on site
8:17our vision alpha safety to job at zero
8:21accident culture throughout the
8:23organization make safety part of the day
8:26job every day to be I recognized by
8:31employees customers and industry as the
8:33safest employer in the logistics sector
8:36to have a clear and tangible alpha
8:39safety values proposition for DHL and
8:42all its customers accidents incidents
8:47hazards and near misses an accident is
8:52something that we result in an injury to
8:54a person an incident will result in
8:58damage to property a hazard or near miss
9:02is where you see something that could be
9:05potentially dangerous but doesn't result
9:07in injury to a person or damage to
9:09property thinking of the above
9:13what are fewer the following scenarios
9:15caught finger to fort with chops Co ID
9:21cut finger will be an accident to fall
9:24of chop squaddie will be an incident a
9:28box falling from the racking onto a
9:31walkway the spillage of oil the box for
9:35you from the locking will be a near-miss
9:37I did anybody was walking past
9:40could have hid them spillage of oil will
9:42be an asset if anybody walked through
9:45the oil they could swipe and cause
9:46themselves an injury Cory Kirchner
9:51talking to wall which ought to know
9:52quartet will be an accident and an
9:54incidence I just to involves damage to
9:56property and a person you have a
10:01responsibility to report any accidents
10:03or incident immediately that it happens
10:06to your fears or I'm managing do not
10:09wait till later in the day you must go
10:11to your manager immediately and report
10:13any absent or incident this will enables
10:18to make a full investigation why do we
10:21have investigate so the coming wound
10:24from the investigation and take action
10:26to ejoute do it reduce the risk a
10:28similar accident occurring again
10:33failure to follow the CREP procedure for
10:36reported accidents may result in
10:38disciplinary action this means if you
10:40have an accident and do not report it
10:42and we are informed of it by another
10:44colleague you may go through the
10:47disciplinary action procedure
10:51this picture shows many types of add-ins
10:54that you may come across in the
10:56workplace hopefully not on this side
10:59what can you spot hopefully you have
11:04spotty many different hazards here such
11:07as the gentleman wearing headphones
11:08about to step into a hole the gentleman
11:12pushing the chalk you cannot see where
11:14he's going cuz overloaded water on the
11:17for an unguarded left shaft poor man
11:23handling techniques poor equipment such
11:26as the work and why do
11:28hazardous material left out of there
11:30hazard waste covered these are the type
11:34of things that you should always be
11:35looking for in the workplace always work
11:38out for hazards if you see an acid
11:42whilst on site fill in the swamp safety
11:46oil form and we ported to your frm our
11:50target this year is to increase the
11:52number of added report
11:54by 25 cents this is to output reduce the
11:58number of accidents that we will get as
12:00a hazard if not reported as a fair
12:03chance of becoming accident or an
12:05incident the swamp safety away at MOOCs
12:08can be found in each department if not
12:11available speak to the frm
12:20this as a safety oh it milk you'll see
12:27many different cause of safety signs

13:45colleagues and our support managers a
13:48few of our colleagues were wear a pink
13:51hi vis as they are harder viewing and
13:54this helps you to spot them if you need
13:56to pass a message on to them you think
13:58they may not have eared over the tunnel
13:59you our operational managers wear an
14:03Owen Jarvis these are the FM's that you
14:05will report to will wear an orange is

14:27five evacuation procedure the almost
14:31sound continuously you must leave the
14:33building by the nearest safe exit do not
14:38wait to be told to leave close any door
14:42behind you do not use the left do not
14:47stop to collect your personal belongings
14:49do not run or shout swipe your card at
14:54the bike shed on entering the carpark go
14:57to the assembly point on the carpark act
15:01on instructions given by the theatre
15:03manager once you here's my manager once
15:06you are on the car park on site every
15:09Tuesday morning the firearm will be
15:11tested and now if we put out over the
15:14tunnel telling you not to exit the
15:16building this is just a test the fire
15:20reporting procedure if you discover a
15:22fire raise the alarm by sounding the
15:25nearest fire alarm
15:26then leave the building by the nearest
15:28safe exit again closing the doors behind
15:31you report anything you see to evacuate
15:34you control your base to be based at the
15:36front gates where you are exit the
15:38building and give any details of what
15:40you have seen we ask just ask you to get
15:44out of the building quickly and save for
15:46you
15:46never putting yourself at any risk your
15:53fire sound we point for where else and
15:55agency colleagues is point a on the top
15:58carpark so if you walk onto the carpark
16:02turn left go up the steps and then you
16:05will see a big green letter a on the
16:07back wall this is your assembly point
16:10point a special measures have been put
16:16into place due to coronavirus for social
16:19distancing during the five evacuation
16:22while evacuating we named not be able to
16:25adhere to social distancing and we
16:27cannot do the exit from the building
16:30however we ask that everyone must still
16:33try to maintain the Toomas meter
16:35distance wants at the fire assembly
16:37point to do this each colleague is a
16:40stand on
16:41the end of the white lines as indicated
16:43in the picture below Dania these points
16:47means there is no excuse to be winning
16:49or setting on people's cars when safe to
16:53do so the FI limes all our stuff back
16:56into the warehouse one row at a time to
16:59ensure social distancing is maintained
17:06you will be told to swipe at the bike
17:08shed this will remove you from the fire
17:11muster to register when we return into
17:16the building
17:17you must swipe back on at the colleague
17:20entrance door we have fire extinguishers
17:28on site but these are going to be used
17:31by the chained fire marshals do not use
17:36a fire extinguisher that's you've been
17:37chained to do so using the incorrect
17:40extinguisher for the type of fire may
17:43make it worse there's an example water
17:46on electrical fire so poor you to not
17:49use the fire extinguishers unless you
17:51are one of our chained fire marshals
17:58air source handling and control and
18:00major accident schnauzers regulations we
18:04have an aerosols chamber do have the air
18:07source across the whole strange news
18:09network
18:10this means that the site is covered by
18:13the control a major accident has its
18:15regulations we are low tier site due to
18:19the quantity of aerosols stored on site
18:21at any one time if you are asked to work
18:25in the air sold chamber you will receive
18:27job at specific training it's an
18:31important that you must not go into the
18:33air souls chamber unless you've been
18:35chained so only chain personnel are
18:39allowed access to the young with
18:41aerosols chamber the environment and
18:49meet the role that we can play in the
18:52environment and our social
18:53responsibilities whilst on site we ask
18:58that you follow do recycling and use the
19:00kept bins for your disposable of all
19:03rubbish
19:05food safety the majority of the things
19:11that we pick on site are food products
19:13so it's important that you follow some
19:15simple guidelines that you must a deer
19:17to wash your hands you AG you
19:21especially after using the toilet or
19:22going for a meal keep your clothes it's
19:26Queen is possible to avoid
19:27cross-contamination from your clothes on
19:30to the products always cover any cuts or
19:34grazes with a clean Jessie do you
19:36require a Jessie just speak to the
19:38manager
19:39you'll get you one from the first aider
19:42smoking vaping is omitted in the two
19:46designated areas on-site certain
19:50illnesses must be reported to a time
19:52before starting work such as sickness
19:55and diarrhea any food poisoning septic
19:58cuts discharge from eyes ear or nose and
20:01hepatitis please report these to your
20:04fom before starting work they can decide
20:07if it is safe for you to work on-site
20:12good housekeeping good out giving is
20:16important as I accidentally spelt
20:18products kind of chuck pests and permit
20:20bacterial growth if not cleaned up we
20:24have the legal responsibility to ensure
20:26the site it's clean and tiny you must
20:30report any spillage ease you see or
20:32clean it up immediately that they happen
20:36do not though use any cleaning chemicals
20:39that you've been chained on-site to do
20:41so we have a dedicated to our Dean team
20:44whose job to keep a site clean and tidy
20:47and clean up any spill use it we mouth
20:51please make sure that you use the kept
20:53bins provided on site as a clean site is
20:55a safe site Good Housekeeping is
20:59important to discourage pests pest
21:04control what are pests they may be
21:07loading such as mice and nuts
21:09cockroaches ants why do we worry about
21:13these pests on site these pests spread
21:16diseases and they also multiply very
21:19quickly so obviously there's a good
21:22chance that they will chew through the
21:24packaging and also they'll actually
21:26cables and spread disease throughout the
21:28warehouse so what can you do to help us
21:35with our pest control keep all the door
21:38shut report any sightings or evidence in
21:41around the building or in the products
21:43that you are handling do not interfere

22:17not permitted on-site headphones must
22:21not be worn within the warehouse
22:23only on your breaks and the left
22:25there is only a clear bag phone
22:28reception allowed in the warehouse if
22:31you need to take any products of your
22:34boning belongings into the warehouse you
22:36must obtain a clear bag from reception
22:39do not use any mechanical equipment or
22:42enter any restricted areas but you've
22:45been chained and authorized to do so
22:46on-site the use of consumption sale
22:51possession or distribution of drugs or
22:53alcohol is absolutely prohibited on site
22:57where the company has caused - they can
23:00request a drug or alcohol test to be
23:02carried out do not bring any knives onto
23:06the side you must only use the company
23:09issued safety knife this will be given
23:11to you when you come to your first day
23:13of training social media
23:18you must not discuss your job role and
23:22the company on social media and there's
23:26a stop and search policy in place for
23:29everybody when they leave the side at
23:32the end of this induction video there'll
23:35be a short slide explaining I'll stop
23:37and search operates the divesting
23:43respect at weight policy we are all the
23:45same or different altogether successful

24:08wanted to create an environment which
24:10all of us can fulfill our potential

26:04lifting and carrying is part of life
26:06from childhood
26:07in fact as children lifting and carrying
26:11comes naturally as adults were often
26:17told how to lift and carry correctly
26:19it's a message that is drilled into us
26:22yet we find the bad lifting and carrying
26:25technique is a major cause of workplace
26:28injuries including the potential for
26:30serious damage to the back for children
26:35correct lifting technique is automatic
26:38they don't consider that there's another
26:40way to do it but as adults we get lazy
26:46we get complacent we Bend our spines
26:49lift with our backs and do ourselves a
26:52lot of damage so what is it the children
26:57do naturally but we should be doing
27:02first they get a good foundation for the
27:04lift children instinctively know it will
27:08be much easier to lift something with
27:10their feet apart creating a stable base
27:12to lift from around hip-width apart with
27:17the load between the feet is a good
27:18stance for lifting second they keep the
27:23back as straight as possible and bend
27:26the knees to get down to the load
27:28since children's back muscles are not
27:30fully developed this is the only way a
27:32child can lift a significant load and
27:35because it doesn't put stress on the
27:37back it's the best way for everyone to
27:39lift next they get a good firm grip on
27:43the load using the whole hand not just
27:46their fingers keeping the back straight
27:49they then straighten the legs to get
27:51into a standing position when carrying
27:55the load children will hold it in close
27:57to the body the farther away a load is
28:00from you the heavier it will seem and
28:02the more stress it will place on your
28:04muscles and spine a child will act to
28:09minimize the stress on developing bones
28:12and muscles putting the load down is the
28:16same process reversed the whole thing's
28:20pretty simple really
28:21so simple our kids manage it without
28:24even thinking but it's not just in
28:28correct technique that could hurt you in
28:29the long run you'll also run the risk if
28:32you try to lift loads that you really
28:34shouldn't if you have to move something
28:37that is too heavy too big or too awkward
28:40what should you do using a mechanical
28:44aid to help you lift or move the load is
28:47the best option if this is impossible
28:51seek help from colleagues and perform a
28:53team lift if however a load is beyond
28:57your comfortable lifting capacity and
28:59neither of these options is available or
29:02practical then simply do not lift it
29:07[Music]
29:10children left and carried properly
29:12because they're not grown up enough to
29:13do it incorrectly only when we grow to
29:16be bigger and stronger do we start to
29:18pick up bad habits not considering that
29:21in the long run it could damage as
29:23irreparably it's not hard to save
29:27yourself pain and trouble when lifting
29:29and carry in fact it's child's play
29:34you
29:50you
30:07you'll be given money laundering
30:08training when you come to site on for
30:11your first day's test you will also be
