0:03of that Old Testament unusual metaphor
0:06of an open Heaven Angels coming and
0:09going the Fulfillment of Divine Purpose
0:12on the earth through a house that
0:14happens to be positioned on the edge of
0:16Two Worlds

0:23this is 28 verse 12 then he dreamed
0:26that's Jacob and behold a ladder was set
0:28up on the earth and its top reached to
0:31heaven and they're the angels of God
0:33were ascending and descending and behold
0:36the Lord stood above it and said I am
0:39the Lord God of Abraham your father
0:42the god of Isaac the land on which you
0:44lie I will give to you and your
0:46descendants jump down to verse 16. then
0:50Jacob awoke from his sleep and said
0:51surely the Lord is in his place and I
0:54did not know it that's a lot of church
0:56services are like that right there
0:58surely the Lord is in this place and I
1:01did not know it
1:02and he he was afraid and said how
1:05awesome is this place listen carefully
1:07this is none other than the house of God
1:09this is the Gate of Heaven there's a
1:12very strange
1:14metaphor being used here to illustrate
1:16the nature of God's design he said this
1:20is none other than the house of God the
1:22Gate of Heaven okay Verse 18 Jacob Arose
1:26early in the morning took the stone he'd
1:28put at his head set it up as a pillar
1:30poured oil on it he called the name of
1:32that place Bethel that's a good name
1:33verse 22 this Stone which I have set as
1:37a pillar shall be God's house now that's
1:39very strange there's no building here
1:41now the house of God we see unveiled in
1:45many different ways throughout the Old
1:48Testament and New Testament the Old
1:49Testament we have a temple that Solomon
1:51built was the house of God we have a
1:54tabernacle that David built which was a
1:56house of God we have the Tabernacle of
1:59Moses also I've got the rebuilt Temple
2:01of Solomon we have many houses of God
2:03but this is the first mention of the
2:06house of God and the entire Bible First
2:09mention always sets a standard here's
2:11the bizarre thing it's not a building
2:14it's a rock
2:16it's a rock
2:18or Jacob slept had a dream saw heaven
2:21open Angels ascending and descending and
2:24God spoke through the open heaven and
2:25spoke a word to Jacob
2:28House of God
2:34I think what excites me the most out of
2:37this particular story
2:39was
2:40I'm sure to Jacob it was logical to me
2:43it's just it it challenges me he said
2:46this phrase this is none other than the
2:49house of God
2:50the Gate of Heaven
2:55this is none other than the house of God
2:57the Gate of Heaven
2:59what's a gate
3:01a gate is a it's a reality
3:05that it's it's something that takes you
3:07from one reality to another
3:10you may go through a gate from your
3:13backyard to your driveway you may go
3:17from a gate in your front yard to a
3:20public sidewalk but it's it's something
3:23that takes you from one reality to
3:25another
3:27and yet this first mention the first
3:30revelation in the entire Bible on the
3:33nature of the house of God has several
3:36elements that are important for us to
3:37remember because it will Define
3:39everything we are
3:42number one what is it it's a place where
3:45there's an open heaven
3:50it's a place where there's an open
3:51heaven
3:53number two
3:54God speaks through that open heaven
3:58Number Three Angels come and go
4:02this Angelic activity
4:05that's all
4:06open Heaven that's all House of God
4:12a gate
4:14on the edge of Two Worlds the Gate of
4:16Heaven
4:18and negate into the hearts lives of
4:21people
4:22it's the house of God
4:24look with me at John chapter 1.
4:34John chapter 1
4:36um
4:37in verse 14 it says
4:39Jesus is the word of God made flesh
4:43tabernacled or dwelt Among Us so the
4:46point I want to make is that Old
4:48Testament prophecy in Genesis 28
4:51prophesies the nature of the house of
4:53God the initial fulfillment or
4:57illustration of that prophetic
4:59metaphor is in the person of Jesus
5:05he is the Tabernacle or the house of God
5:08on planet Earth chapter 1 verse 14. jump
5:12all the way towards the end of the
5:13chapter and we see Nathanael has this
5:16interesting experience his brother begs
5:18him to come and to meet Jesus come and
5:20see him Jesus saw Nathanael verse 47
5:23coming towards him and he said behold an
5:25Israelite and whom is no deceit there's
5:27no guile
5:28Nathaniel said to him how do you know me
5:30Jesus said before Philip called you when
5:33you were under the Fig Tree I saw you so
5:35Jesus is saying hey I saw you
5:37not in the natural he could see in the
5:39spirit he could see Nathanael inviting
5:42his brother to come and to meet Jesus
5:45Nathaniel verse 49 answered and said
5:47Rabbi you're the Son of God you're the
5:49king of Israel Jesus answered and said
5:52to him because I said to you I saw you
5:54under the Fig Tree do you believe you
5:56will see greater things than these
5:58and he said to him now listen carefully
6:00most assuredly I say to you Hereafter
6:04you shall see Heaven open and the angels
6:06of God ascending and descending on the
6:09son of man
6:12notice any similarities
6:15you see this is the initial fulfillment
6:17of that Old Testament unusual metaphor
6:21of an open Heaven Angels coming and
6:24going the Fulfillment of Divine Purpose
6:26on the earth through a house that
6:29happens to be positioned on the edge of
6:31Two Worlds
6:34we've been summoned and called
6:37to do greater things in Jesus it if if
6:41it wasn't in the Bible
6:43that would be the worst thing you could
6:45possibly say
6:46to do greater things in Jesus but Jesus
6:49himself announced it greater things than
6:52these shall you do
6:54you can't do greater until you've done
6:56the same
7:02there are many believers who
7:05in in this day and age have a greater
7:09faith for the return of Christ than they
7:11do in the power of the Gospel
7:14and what I mean by that is the return of
7:16Christ is
7:18Beyond glorious so I'd never want to say
7:21or do anything to dumb that down
7:24but what is a frustration to me
7:27is that many people have a faith for the
7:29return of Christ because they believe
7:31that the only thing that can fix this
7:33world is not the power of the Gospel we
7:36preach but the return of a military
7:38invasion of God to set things in order
7:40in other words the confidence isn't in
7:43the message we've been given
7:45you know
7:49can an individual life that is
7:52absolutely an utter room can it be saved
7:56not just forgiven can it be restored
7:59restored
8:01place of Sanity addiction is broken off
8:05have a healthy family have a healthy
8:07lifestyle
8:09can it happen to one
8:11then can it happen to his family
8:13can it happen to his family line
8:16what about his neighborhood
8:18City
8:19you see the point the point is is the
8:22power of the Gospel
8:24is what is needed to re-embrace tuning
8:28Our tuning fork to the one sound the
8:32original sound that said
8:36do what I taught you to do teach
8:38everyone under you to do the same have
8:40them to teach those that they raise up
8:42to do the same don't change the standard
8:44get the tape measure out again and do it
8:47the way you were instructed to do it lay
8:49hands on the sick don't worry about how
8:51good you do don't worry about how bad
8:53you do just obey what he said to do I
8:56don't have the right I don't have the
8:58luxury to change the assignment to what
9:00I know how to do well

9:04most people's Ministries are defined by
9:07what they do well
9:15most people when they try to figure out
9:17what their Ministry is they just try to
9:19figure out what they're good at
9:21not what they're called to do
9:25now I'm good with you doing what you're
9:26good at
9:28but don't do it at the expense of what
9:29you're called to do
9:32well I pray for the sick nothing nothing
9:34happens
9:35find out why just don't change the
9:38assignment
9:41yeah I'm so glad that you watched this
9:43video I do pray that it's a great great
9:45strength and encouragement to you and
9:47I've got a verse that it really is My
9:49Cry for all of us and it's Psalms 20
9:51it's verse 4. may he grant you your
9:54heart's desire and fulfill all your
9:57plans

10:00this would be the season of rich rich
10:02fulfillment
