0:00all right so now let's talk about the

0:01salesforce architecture now when i say

0:03architecture i mean

0:04applications objects fields and

0:06relationships

0:09so now

0:12let's look at how salesforce models

0:14everything so that crm requirements can

0:16fit into purpose and can be easily

0:18scored in salesforce so

0:21in salesforce you can create different

0:23applications now as you might recall the

0:26app launcher lets you open applications

0:28right your applications could be a sales

0:30application a service application a

0:31marketing application or some custom

0:33application that you might want to build

0:35right now this application will host a

0:38good chunk of objects right now there

0:40can be multiple objects in a single

0:42application and there can be one object

0:44as well so i just wanted to represent

0:46that multiple objects can be part of

0:48different applications as well as a

0:50single object can take part in multiple

0:51applications as well right so let's say

0:54you have a sales application you have

0:55created you can associate account object

0:58with the sales application as well as

1:00you can associate it with the service

1:02cloud application as well right

1:03similarly if you want to leverage

1:05contact as an object

1:07you could leverage it for the sales

1:08cloud related application or some custom

1:11application that you have built right so

1:13a single application hosts multiple

1:15objects and a single object can be part

1:17of multiple applications

1:19right

1:20now each object

1:22holds a set of fields and attributes

1:24that uniquely identify the object right

1:26now these fields can be fields that are

1:28associated to the object and there can

1:30be some attributes or relationships that

1:32associate the object with some other

1:33object right now let's understand how

1:37a spreadsheet looks like and how

1:38salesforce models that into a database

1:40now here i have a simple example of a

1:42job application use case wherein a job

1:45application would have parameters like

1:47application id application name dob and

1:50cgpa right now how does salesforce

1:54convert this into a salesforce database

1:56right so com from a spreadsheet point of

1:58view the job application that you see is

2:00the entity right and this entity defines

2:03this particular table right now when i

2:05say this entity defines this particular

2:07table what i mean to say is

2:091 0 9 1 sherlock holmes is a row in the

2:12table which represents a record and

2:14application id application name date of

2:16birth and cgpa are attributes or rather

2:19fields that uniquely identify a

2:21particular job application record right

2:23now in salesforce job application would

2:26be an object

2:27all right application id name date of

2:29birth and cgpa would be fields and the

2:32two rows that you see one zero nine one

2:34and one zero nine two holding the

2:35information for sherlock holmes and

2:37deborah jameson these would be the

2:39actual records in the system

2:41all right
