2:34beginning to chase them with everything
2:35they have. The two men start riding at
2:37full speed [music] to save their lives.
2:38After traveling some distance, a massive
2:40and magnificent stone wall appears in
2:43front of them. This is no ordinary wall.
2:45It is the Great Wall of China. But they
2:46have no time to admire the incredible
2:48structure because moments later,
2:50thousands of Chinese soldiers appear
2:52standing on top of the wall, aiming
2:53their arrows directly at them. A storm
2:55of arrows whistles through the air,
2:56forcing both men to stop right there.
2:58Now, William and Tovar are trapped in a
3:00place with nowhere to escape. Behind
3:02them are bloodthirsty [music] bandits,
3:04while directly ahead on the great wall
3:06stands a fully prepared Chinese army.
3:08William immediately [music] decides that
3:10instead of being brutally killed by the
3:11bandits, it is better to place
3:13themselves at the mercy of the army
3:14standing in front of them. Without
3:16putting up a fight, both men throw their
3:17swords and bows onto the ground, raise

3:22down, tie their hands, and take them
3:24inside the wall as prisoners. Here they

5:41warriors commanded by Commander Lynn.
5:43Suddenly, the ground in the distance
5:44begins [music] to shake, and William
5:46sees what looks like a massive green
5:48wave moving toward the wall. But in
5:50reality, it is not a wave at all. It is
5:52a merciless army of millions of vicious
5:54toute. At the center of this army stands
5:56their [music] enormous queen, completely
5:58surrounded by the other monsters who
5:59form a protective shield around her. At
6:01General Shiao's [music] command, the war
6:03catapults are triggered, launching

8:25another man named Ballard. When Ballard
8:28asks [music] them what brought them
8:29here, William openly tells him that they
8:31came looking for black powder. Hearing
8:32this, Ballard [music] smiles and reveals
8:34that 25 years ago, he also came here
8:37with a group of mercenaries [music]
8:38driven by the same desire for this black
8:40powder. But ever since then, he has been

11:33China. As punishment for his greed,
11:35nature caused a greenstone to fall onto
11:37the mountain, giving birth to these
11:38creatures. And now, [music] every 60
11:40years, they emerge from the earth to
11:41hunt humans. Wong explains that they
11:43have only one purpose: to devour every
11:45living or dead thing that crosses their
11:47path and deliver all the meat to their
11:49enormous queen. The queen gains strength
11:51from [music] this meat and gives birth
11:53to thousands of new soldiers. Pointing
11:55to a map mounted on the wall, Wang warns
11:57William that only 800 m from the Great
12:00Wall lies a major city where 2 million
12:02innocent civilians live. If the Tae
12:05break through the wall and reach the
12:06city, the massive amount of meat they
12:08consume will make them so powerful that
12:10no human being anywhere in the world
12:12will be able to survive. Wong becomes
12:13convinced that [music] this magnet can
12:15disrupt the Tae's ability to hear,
12:17think, and communicate. But to test this
12:19theory on the [music] battlefield, they
12:20first need to somehow capture a Tae
12:22alive and conduct experiments on it.
12:24Suddenly, disturbing news arrives that
12:26contact [music] with the guards
12:27stationed at the western section of the
12:29Great Wall has suddenly been lost and no
12:31sound is coming from their post. [music]
12:33Fearing the worst, General Shiao
12:35personally heads there with Commander
12:36Lynn and a select group of soldiers to
12:38investigate. The moment they see the
12:40scene, everyone is left horrified. All
12:42the guards have been brutally killed.
12:44But the [music] strangest and most
12:45terrifying part is that the Tae have
12:47left their bodies behind. General Shiao

13:53wall at Honcha Gate, they suddenly

14:37the center of the wall to be activated,
14:39brutally slicing apart the creatures
14:40[music] climbing the wall and sending
14:42them crashing to the ground. At the same
14:44time, arrows soaked [music] in sedatives
14:46are fired from the wall while heavy iron
14:48hooks are launched at the creatures.
14:49Several beasts manage to break free from
14:51the chains using their immense strength,
14:53but one tout becomes trapped in the web
14:55of hooks. The soldiers begin pulling it
14:57upward with all their strength, but
14:58William notices that the [music]
15:00pressure on the chain is extremely high
15:01and the sedative will take time to fully
15:03take effect. If they keep pulling
15:05forcefully, the chain will snap and the
15:06creature will escape. Without caring
15:08about his own life, William jumps
15:09straight down from the wall using the

15:13trap with wounded and growling creatures
15:15surrounding him from every direction.
15:16William quickly begins securing the

15:28behind to attack him. Just then, Tovar
15:30jumps down from the wall with an ax and
15:32gets between them, taking down the
15:34creature. Tovar holds off the other
15:36[music] creatures coming from above
15:37while William locks the chains into
15:39place. From the top of the wall, Lynn
15:41sees the signal arrows and rains
15:42explosive [music] arrows down below,
15:44causing the approaching monsters to
15:46scatter from the explosions and forcing
15:48them [music] to retreat. Taking
15:49advantage of this cover, the Chinese
15:51soldiers pull the chains and drag the
15:52unconscious Touté alive to the top of
15:55the wall. While William and Tovar also
15:57make it back inside the wall, wounded
15:58but alive. The captured Tae is locked
16:00inside a strong iron cage. It growls and
16:03tries to break [music] through the cage.
16:05But the moment Wong brings William's
16:06magnet close to its head, the vicious
16:08beast becomes [music] completely calm
16:10and motionless within seconds. Seeing
16:12this, everyone becomes convinced that
16:14the magnet [music] truly disrupts their
16:16mental connection. But at that very
16:17moment, strange sounds of the ground
16:19shaking and rocks being dug up suddenly
16:21begin coming from the lower section of
16:23the [music] wall. General Lynn and Wong
16:24immediately head down to investigate.
16:26But the moment they see what is [music]
16:27happening, the ground seems to disappear
16:29beneath their feet. The Tae had been
16:31attacking the Great Wall for days just
16:33to distract [music] the humans. In
16:34reality, the creatures had secretly dug
16:36a massive tunnel beneath the wall, and
16:38thousands of monsters had already
16:40bypassed the wall and begun heading
16:42toward the [music] city. The lives of 2
16:44million innocent civilians were now
16:46hanging in the balance. Taking advantage
16:48of this apocalyptic chaos, Ballard and
16:50Tovar blow open the armory door with
16:52black powder and begin loading huge
16:53amounts of the powder onto horses. Just
16:55[music] then, William arrives and blocks
16:57their path. Tovar tries to convince him
16:59that there is no way these people can
17:01survive. [music] So, escaping with the
17:02powder is the smartest thing to do. But
17:04William refuses, saying that he no
17:06longer wants to die a meaningless and
17:07greedy death, [music] and now he wants
17:09to stand with these innocent people. The
17:11two begin arguing when suddenly Ballard
17:12cuts a rope from behind them. A heavy
17:14weight from above comes crashing
17:16directly onto William's head, knocking
17:17him unconscious and sending him
17:18collapsing to the ground. Ballard and
17:20Tovar escape with the [music] black
17:21powder. When William regains
17:23consciousness, he finds himself bound in
17:25heavy iron chains. General Lynn is
17:27furious and heartbroken. She believes
17:28William was working with these [music]
17:30thieves from the beginning and that he
17:31has betrayed their trust. Lynn is about
17:33to order his execution when the young
17:35soldier whose life William had saved
17:37from [music] the monster steps forward.
17:38He falls at Lynn's feet and tells her

18:22thousands of feet to their deaths. But
18:24despite all these losses, General Lynn
18:25refuses to [music] stop. With the
18:27remaining balloons, she continues
18:28through the sky, heading directly toward
18:30the city. Meanwhile, back in the prison
18:32[music] inside the wall, Wong arrives
18:33and frees William from his chains. Wong
18:36warns him that the battle has already
18:37slipped out of their hands. The monsters
18:39have entered the city, and there is only
18:41one final way left to save the [music]
18:42world from destruction, to kill the Tae
18:45queen at any cost. Without wasting a
18:47second, William grabs his bow and boards
18:49the last remaining hot air balloon with
18:51Wang, heading toward [music] the city.
18:53Meanwhile, out in the deserted
18:54wilderness, Ballard reaches the peak of
18:56his greed and betrays Tovar, stealing
18:58his [music] share of the black powder
18:59and his horse before attempting to
19:01escape alone. But Ballard's greed
19:03becomes the very thing that kills him.
19:04Along the way, the same bandits we saw
19:06at the beginning of the movie surround
19:08him. Because of the bandits careless
19:09actions, fire reaches the bags of black
19:12powder and in a [music] massive
19:13explosion, Ballard is reduced to ashes
19:15along with the powder he had stolen. On
19:17the other side of the desert, the
19:18Chinese cavalry pursuing Tovar surrounds
19:20him, captures [music] him, and brings
19:22him back in chains. Meanwhile, the city
19:24has already turned into a scene of
19:25absolute devastation. The Tae army has
19:28smashed [music] through the city walls
19:29and entered the streets, brutally
19:31slaughtering innocent civilians.
19:32Everywhere, flames are rising, buildings
19:34are collapsing, and [music] the screams
19:36of terrified people echo through the
19:38streets. The entire city is ruled by
19:39nothing but blood and fear. During this
19:41chaos, General Lynn's hot air balloon
19:43crashes into [music] the tops of the
19:45buildings, catches fire, and eventually
19:46crashes onto a high rooftop. As the
19:48[music] surviving soldiers hit the
19:50ground, they struggle to regain their
19:51footing. But dozens of vicious toute
19:53[music] suddenly climb over the walls
19:55and rooftops, surrounding them from
19:56every direction. One by one, the
19:58soldiers are killed until eventually,
20:00General Lynn is left completely alone.
20:02She fights back with her spear, but the
20:04monsters get closer and closer, making
20:06her death seem absolutely certain.
20:08[music] At that exact final moment, a
20:10hot air balloon appears in the sky
20:12carrying our hero, William. And of
20:13course, anyone watching a recap is just
20:15waiting for the moment when the heroine
20:17gets trapped. [music] And the hero
20:18finally shows up to save her. Well,
20:20guess what? The hero is here. William
20:22[music] throws a spear down from the
20:23balloon, signaling Lynn to climb up.
20:25Lynn jumps and grabs the spear, and
20:27William pulls her into the balloon.
20:28After escaping death, Lynn looks into
20:30William's eyes and realizes that [music]
20:32he never betrayed her trust. Her broken
20:34trust comes alive once again with full
20:36force, and the two prepare together for
20:38their final mission to save [music] the
20:39city. William, General Lynn, and Wang
20:41escape the chaos of the city and descend
20:43into the palace's underground canal,
20:45where they come across [music] the same
20:46young soldier whose life William had
20:48saved earlier. Inside this underground
20:50canal, the [music] captured Tae is still
20:52locked inside the iron cage. Here, Wong
20:55explains his final master plan. They
20:56will strap black powder explosives onto
20:58the creature's body and feed [music] it
21:00meat, as its nature dictates. After
21:02swallowing the meat, the Taay will head
21:04straight to [music] its queen to feed
21:05her. And as soon as it gets close to the
21:07queen, they will detonate the explosives
21:09from above using an arrow or fire,
21:11destroying the queen completely. They
21:13quickly begin securing the powder-filled
21:15explosives [music] onto the monster's
21:16body. But suddenly, the ground begins to
21:18tremble inside the dark tunnels.
21:20Thousands [music] of Tae roaming above
21:22the ground have already picked up the
21:23scent of their bodies in the meat, and
21:25they begin rushing toward the
21:26underground canal. Within moments,
21:28dozens of monsters appear around a bend
21:30in the narrow tunnel. The path ahead is
21:32completely blocked and it seems
21:33impossible for the four of them to
21:35survive. At this most critical moment,
21:37the same young soldier makes a historic
21:38[music] and selfless decision. He
21:40ignites the black powder explosives
21:42attached to his own body and jumps into
21:44the advancing storm of beasts. [music]
21:46The next moment, a massive explosion
21:47tears through the tunnel. A wave of fire
21:49shakes the entire [music] passage and
21:51debris from the ceiling collapses,
21:53permanently blocking the path. The
21:54soldier had sacrificed his own life to
21:56save William, Lynn, and Wang. After the
21:58soldiers heroic sacrifice, William,
22:00[music] Lynn, and Wong reach the massive
22:02pigota tower made of colorful glass in
22:04the center of the city. They remove the
22:06magnet from [music] the captive toute
22:07strapped with explosives and set it
22:09free. The monster swallows the meat and
22:11immediately runs toward its [music]
22:12queen. Standing high above, William
22:14draws his bow and the moment the
22:15creature gets close to the queen,
22:16[music] William fires an explosive
22:18arrow, but at that exact moment, the
22:20queen's massive armored guards step
22:22forward [music] and form a shield around
22:23her. The arrow hits their tough bones
22:25and explodes in midair, causing the plan
22:27to fail. The [music] queen senses the
22:29danger and lets out a massive roar,
22:30ordering thousands of monsters to climb
22:32the tower. Within moments, [music] the
22:34creatures begin climbing upward along
22:36the walls. Wong realizes that they have
22:38run out of time. He throws the magnetic
22:39[music] stone toward William and stands
22:41alone at the pagota's entrance, blocking
22:43the monster's path. Wang sacrifices his
22:45own life to give William and Lynn one
22:47final chance. Now they have only one
22:49last explosive [music] spear made from
22:51black powder. William looks into Lynn's
22:52eyes and asks, "Do you trust me?" Lynn
22:54answers without hesitation, [music]
22:55"Yes." The two of them swing directly
22:57into the air from the tower window using
22:59ropes and end up hanging right above the
23:01queen. William throws the magnetic stone
23:03down with all his strength. The moment
23:04the magnet lands among the guards, their
23:06hearing [music] becomes disrupted,
23:08causing their shield formation to break
23:09apart and scatter. With the path finally
23:12clear, Lynn throws the black powder
23:13spear toward the queen with all her
23:15strength. The [music] spear plunges
23:16directly into the pile of meat the queen
23:18is devouring. The next moment, a massive
23:20and deafening explosion [music] erupts.
23:22Amid a storm of fire and smoke, the
23:24queen is blown to pieces. The moment the
23:26queen dies, something [music] incredible
23:28happens across the entire city. The
23:30millions of remaining Tae suddenly
23:32freeze like statues in the exact same
23:34second, [music] then collapse lifelessly
23:36to the ground. That is because all these
23:38monsters functioned like ants through a
23:40hive mind with their minds connected
23:42directly to their queen. The moment the
23:44queen was destroyed, [music] their
23:46mental signal was permanently severed
23:48and the shadow of death that had fallen
23:49over the city was buried in an instant.
23:51[music] After the battle, Lynn and
23:53William returned to the palace where
23:55William is rewarded for his incredible
23:56bravery with two [music] choices. The
23:58first is that he can take as much black
24:00powder as he wants and become rich or he
24:02can choose the [music] second option,
24:03the freedom of his friend Tovar. Tovar,
24:06who is locked inside an iron cage,
24:07assumes that William must have chosen
24:09[music] the powder. But William smiles
24:11and tells him that he chose his friend.
24:13Tovar's chains are removed. General Lynn
24:15comes to say goodbye to William, and the
24:16two look at each other with mutual
24:18respect. [music] The two of them are no
24:20longer strangers, and their trust in
24:21each other is now complete. In the
24:23[music] end, William and Tovar mount
24:24their horses and head back to their
24:26homeland with a Chinese cavalry escort,
24:28and [music] that is where the story
