0:16Good morning. It's another beautiful day
0:19here on the coast in Busousan and we are
0:22learning English. First word that is a
0:25lighthouse in the distance. The
0:28lighthouse shines a light so that ships
0:31don't crash into the shore. Next word.
0:37These are binoculars and they help you
0:41see far into the distance. I'm looking
0:44out onto the horizon and I can see a
0:47giant ship. That's cool. Next word.
0:54These are called tetropods. They are
0:57man-made and they are a flood defense.
1:01They stop the waves crashing onto the
1:05shore and they are made from concrete
1:07which is a building material. On the
1:09tetropods you can see loads of seagulls.
1:12Seagulls are a type of sea bird. A bird
1:15is an animal with wings. It can fly and
1:19it lays eggs. Next word. This is a long
1:23cable. And this is the cable car. These
1:28are cable cars.
1:31Now, we're going to continue to explore
1:33the coastline of Busousan. We're going
1:36to head to Hyundai Beach and check out
1:38some parks and cafes around there. Get
1:41some food, get some coffee, and have a
1:45lovely day learning English. One more
1:47word before we leave. The sunlight is
1:50glistening or shimmering on the water
1:53and that means it's moving and
1:55twinkling.
2:00And we're together on the open road.
2:03Dropped off the ceiling and away we go.
2:07[music]
2:09>> We just got a ticket to the sky capsule.
2:12So, I'll see you there in three, two,
2:14one.
2:16The magic of editing. We're on the sky
2:19capsules now in Busousan.
2:23An Instagrammer's dream on [music] this
2:25thing. We've wanted to do this for a
2:27while. We've seen it on YouTube. It
2:28looks beautiful and it doesn't
2:30disappoint. [music] It's bloody
2:32gorgeous.
2:37>> We are on the rail moving forward. On
2:39the left, there are green pine trees and
2:42a red sky capsule is passing.
2:48Clear blue skies, crystal blue waters.
2:54Wow.
2:56Down there there are waves crashing
3:00against the rocks.
3:05This is a [music] communications pole.
3:12This is just [music] about as good as it
3:14gets. The view is beautiful.
3:18It's so clear as well. Today's such a
3:20pleasant, sunny, and clear day.
3:24Down here is a forest. And these large
3:29trees are called pine trees. You can see
3:32some parts are in the shadow or the
3:33shade and other parts are being lit
3:36[music] by the sun. They are bright
3:39green and gorgeous. Love that.
3:44It's very scenic. Sun's [music] catching
3:46your face nicely in the distance. Yeah,
3:49as you can see the words from earlier.
3:51Do you remember? 3 2 1 lighouses.
3:56There is a red lighthouse on the left
3:58[music] and a white lighthouse on the
4:01right. And down below on the path, you
4:04can see people taking a stroll. The
4:07stroll is a gentle walk.
4:10We're not strolling, we're rolling.
4:14Say hello. Having a good time.
4:18Beautiful sunny day. And we are
4:21thoroughly enjoying this ride. It's just
4:24pretty awesome, isn't it?
4:26>> Mhm.
4:26>> Yeah. Got the code out. About to take
4:28the snap. The red one's passed.
4:30[laughter]
4:34>> Well, that was a massive [music] fail.
4:36We tried to take a photo and film
4:37ourselves taking a photo, but didn't
4:39really work. Anyway, we need to get off
4:40now and head back. So really
5:04the crow [music] is on top of the
5:06lampost and it's cawing. The crow calls.
5:10All
5:11right.
5:26>> So guys, we just got these beautiful
5:29buttery breads.
5:31And if you've never got these before,
5:33here's the brand. I can't read what it
5:35says, but it says something in Korean.
5:36And they're bloody delicious. Chang's
5:38opening it. This is a This is a string.
5:41It's in a paper bag, right? Look at
5:44this, guys. This is next level. You've
5:47got this. Wow. Look at the sunshine in
5:50that. I don't need to say anything. Let
5:52the bread do the talking.
5:53>> Smell it.
5:54>> Smell that, guys. Can you smell it
5:55through the screen? [snorts]
5:57Smells good. Smells so tasty. And you
5:59can see it's super soft as I can squid
6:02it down with my hand. How's it taste?
6:05Top notch.
6:06>> Top bread.
6:08M.
6:11It's so butchery,
6:13so soft.
6:15It's like a quason but bread.
6:20Crispy on the outside, soft and squidgy
6:22in the middle. Oh, the butter and then
6:25just salt on top. Simple. Delicious.
6:32Chef's approval.
6:34Ouch.
6:36All right, guys. We're on the edge of
6:38the beach now and the seagulls are
6:39flocking. Somebody's got some food and
6:42the woman and the child are feeding the
6:45seagulls and they're going mental
6:48and they are hover. [laughter]
6:54Look at that. It's beautiful.
6:58There's a feeding frenzy.
7:00This is called a feeding frenzy. when
7:02animals are going mental.
7:04Pandemonium. Crazy. And here's a little
7:08calm pigeon. A. You're chilled out,
7:12aren't you? Not going to fight with them
7:14nasty seagulls.
7:18Hello, guys. Well, up there are two
7:21giant skyscrapers. Probably
7:25the biggest buildings that I've ever
7:26seen in my life. And now we are walking
7:30along the beach.
7:33We're going to go find a cafe.
7:36Get warm. It's very cold. Uh Chang needs
7:39a wee. A wee is a pee. A pee is a piss.
7:43Piss is a rude word. Um yeah, find a
7:47cafe, drink some coffee, rest, relax. So
7:49on the right here, this is a prominard,
7:51which is a walkway along the beach. And
7:55on the beach on the sand, there are
7:57three people playing a casual game of
8:00volleyball. She is
8:04hitting the volleyball over the net
8:08and screaming. And coming is a very
8:10fluffy white dog. Over there is a
8:14fountain. The water is gushing out. Good
8:18word that gush. It's gushing out. This
8:22is a path that we are walking on.
8:26And either side of the path there are
8:28trees.
8:30They are lining either side of the path.
8:37In the distance is a statue of an
8:40astronaut sitting on a planet. The
8:44planet looks like maybe Mars.
8:48To the right of the astronaut, we have a
8:51giant statue
8:53of the Earth, the globe. And we all live
8:57on this massive
9:00but tiny blue dot. Puts things into
9:04perspective, doesn't it? And what I find
9:06mad is that this is massive.
9:09All this is massive. But really,
9:13compared to that up there, we're tiny.
9:16And that just goes on for miles and
9:18miles and miles. And maybe
9:21people like astronauts will discover it.
9:24Who knows? The world is a tiny place.
9:27And we are even tinier.
9:31That's quite cool.
9:34And over here we have some more spheres
9:39or orbs.
9:41You can see the color of them. It's
9:42purple and blue. And it changes as the
9:45light hits it. We call this iridescent.
9:49The color is iridescent, which means it
9:52changes
9:54as the light hits it. [music]
9:57Now, I have a question for you to
9:59practice your writing in the comments.
10:01If you had the chance to go to space,
10:03would you?
10:06You can reply, "If I had the chance to
10:08go to space, I would or I wouldn't
10:11because
10:13let me know in the comments."
10:17Push.
10:19Dingdong.
10:21>> Okay,
10:23>> we get a view of the streets as the lift
10:26goes up. You can see the sea. You can
10:30see a giant billboard. Let's go. We've
10:34arrived at the cafe.
10:42I hope you have great memories in
10:45working holiday. Like I had good
10:47memories while working holiday.
10:57Okay, this is a beeper. Let's call it a
11:00beeper. [music] A beeping thing. No
11:02idea.
11:05Chang [music] is taking a sip of the
11:07coffee.
11:09We just got an [music] almond cream
11:12latte. Let's take a sip.
11:21[music]
11:21>> Milk mustache.
11:24That's very good.
11:27This cafe is very cute.
11:30The sunlight is pouring in through the
11:31blinds. It's really pretty. We have a
11:33view of the sea. Feeling
11:36good.
11:40>> Just left the cafe. The plan now is
11:43enjoy the sunset. Go see the sunset on
11:46the beach and then probably go for a
11:49cheeky drink and some food.
11:52Here's a mysterious lady crossing the
11:54road.
11:561709.
11:58Time for a pint.
12:02That's the British way. After
12:05five, come alive. Bang bang. Private
12:08wine place. M sounds does sound fishy.
12:13Bang bang. This way. Chang. Chang tang.
12:18Bang bang.
12:19Oh yes.
12:23A nice cold pint. Cheers.
12:24>> Cheers.
12:25>> With a cold pint.
12:27>> Pints with a view.
12:35Crisp, golden, refreshing.
12:39A nice pint after a long day. This is a
12:43very British thing to do to drink on an
12:45empty stomach. So you get a little bit
12:48drunk, bit tipsy, [music] then you go
12:50eat.
12:52Good.
12:55>> [music]
12:58>> So, we just arrived at this seafood
13:00restaurant and we have lots of side
13:03dishes. She just brought us lots of side
13:05dishes.
13:07In the UK, it's not common to share so
13:10many dishes. We actually we have our own
13:12dish, usually fish and chips by the sea.
13:15And we eat it to ourselves. So, this is
13:18new to me to experience this and share a
13:21hot pot. I'm excited to try. So they're
13:24just some people who arrive next to us.
13:26And again in England, we don't like to
13:29be near people. We like to have uh we
13:32call it personal space. We like to be
13:34far away from each other. We like to
13:36have a good amount of personal space.
13:37But yeah, it's it's not such a thing. So
13:41here we go. Experiencing new things.
13:43Broadening my lines.
13:49I
13:57[music]
14:00swirling or swilling the rice wine
14:02around.
14:04This is a bottle of rice wine which we
14:06discovered last night and it's very
14:08delicious. Actually, [music]
14:10if you're drinking it with spicy things,
14:11it really uh soothes the tongue, makes
14:14it feel less spicy, less intense. The
14:16ramen has arrived in a silver sauce pan.
14:20It's boiling hot. [music]
14:22I'm still waiting for the hot pot. We're
14:24going to dig in to the ramen. So, I've
14:27got my tongs. Tongs. Got my ladle.
14:33[music] Ladle.
14:34Let's get some broth. First of all, I'm
14:37ladling the broth.
14:40Taking a clam. [music]
14:45This is a hot pot and I think it's
14:48definitely going to get eaten. [music]
14:51>> They're a staff taking care of the
14:55hot pot, which again is very strange. In
14:58England, they usually just give us food
14:59then leave you.
15:02Okay, so the final word of the day is to
15:04chow down. [music]
15:06Chow down is an informal saying and it
15:08means to eat eagerly, enthusiastically.
15:12And he might say it like this. Let's
15:14chow down on some hot pots.
15:21>> See you next time.
15:24[music]
15:33>> If you're still watching this video,
15:35thank you. You're a legend and I
15:38appreciate you. I wanted to take this
15:41time to sit down and talk with you about
15:44my new English learning platform, Sprou.
15:47And I want to share all the value that
15:50you can have on Sprou. So, we just
15:53released a new feature which is JI. It's
15:56an AI version of me that you can talk
15:59with to improve your English. Now, why
16:02is this better than talking with chat
16:04GBT? Well, on Sprout, you can watch a
16:09video at your level, whether that's A1
16:12or C1. And then after you watch that
16:14video, you can speak with JI about that
16:18video. He will ask you questions about
16:21what happened in the video, what you
16:23think about the video, what words you
16:26learned in the video. And through this,
16:29you will be practicing your speaking,
16:31your output. You're also practicing
16:35listening, learning through
16:37comprehensible input. On Sprout, we have
16:40thousands of videos and they are all
16:44designed to help you become fluent in
16:46English through the listening process,
16:49through immersion.
16:52I've designed it in a way that I want it
16:54to be this all-in-one platform for you
16:58to be able to become fluent in English,
17:02for you to be able to practice all
17:03things, listening, speaking, writing,
17:05building vocabulary, and this is only
17:08just the beginning. I'm really excited
17:10about what Sprout will continue to grow
17:13and evolve into. And I really hope that
17:16you're there with me on this journey. I
17:18want to be able to grow myself and I
17:20want to give you the platform to be able
17:23to grow your English too. So I
17:26appreciate all your support and you can
17:28check out Sprouts. There is one week
17:30free. Try out super. Let me know what
17:32you think of JI and thank you. Take
17:36care. Have a lovely day. Bye-bye.
