0:03All right, welcome in. It is Monday. It

0:05is time for another episode of Total

0:08Bases. We have reached uh playoff mode.

0:10So, these shows are going to get a

0:12little shorter as the week goes on uh

0:14when there's only two games. Uh but we

0:16are here to hit uh whatever the Major

0:18League Baseball is going to give us on a

0:19given day. And today, it's going to be

0:22game two in both of the ALD DS series.

0:25So, excited to to start hitting these

0:27games with you. First, let's recap the

0:30weekend. Brian, how uh was your weekend?

0:33>> I uh went six and five on Saturday, one

0:38and two on Sunday. So, that's seven and

0:39seven overall. Had my first losing

0:42football weekend of the I went 1 and two

0:44in the NFL and three and four in

0:46college. But, uh hockey nine and two in

0:49hockey and uh I believe I split my

0:51baseball over the weekend. Oh, yeah. Not

0:54not the greatest weekend, but hey, if

0:56that's going to be my worst weekend of

0:57the season so far, I'll take it.

1:00>> I was going to go next, but the dogs

1:02decided they wanted to chime in. So,

1:04Tokyo Brandon, how was your weekend?

1:07Um yeah, I was on a I was on a 23 and2

1:10run uh including a 16-0 run in there and

1:14then uh yesterday

1:171-1 in MLB and then two and three in

1:21Asian baseball this morning. So yeah, my

1:24streak is a little bit snapped. I do

1:26have a 5% play in today's Major League

1:29Baseball games. One 5% play, which I

1:32like a lot. So, uh, yeah, I'm going to

1:35go with that and, uh, start a new

1:37winning streak.

1:39>> Why don't we just start the show? Why

1:40don't we just start the show right now

1:42by you just telling us what the 5% is

1:43and then we all go home. [laughter]

1:45>> Yeah.

1:47>> Yeah. I can promise management won't

1:49won't appreciate that. Uh, but uh, yeah,

1:52get a random 5% play. I have So,

1:55regardless of what happens Monday Night

1:56Football tonight, I too will have my

1:58first losing football weekend of the

2:00year. Probably going to happen at some

2:02point. Uh but I am in action in the

2:04Monday night football game. Uh 0 and2

2:06for me yesterday. What really though I

2:09had a pretty good week. Like I kind of

2:11just gave back uh some of the good I did

2:13all week with the 0 and2 yesterday. Uh

2:16what's gone really good for me is Major

2:18League Baseball playoffs. I'm 4-0 plus

2:2015 units in the MLB playoffs. So uh

2:23>> yeah, the the it's it was a good time

2:26for that to happen uh to offset a couple

2:29of football uh losses. Um, but yeah, I

2:32don't know if I'll play either of these

2:33games today. I can promise you I will

2:36have a a Major League Baseball play

2:37tomorrow as part of $5 Tuesday. Uh, just

2:41uh the way it worked out. I'm more

2:42interested I I I feel stronger about

2:45tomorrow's matchups, but that could

2:47change because we're going to deep dive

2:49these two games today. Brian, I'm going

2:51to let you kick this off 5:00 p. p.m.

2:53Eastern. Uh, this is going to be game

2:55two, Guardians, White Socks.

2:59I wasn't really surprised with the game

3:01one result. I know a lot of people might

3:02have been surprised with that. I really

3:04wasn't. It kind of went as I thought it

3:06might go if the White Socks were in

3:08position uh to win the game. That's

3:11what's going to be the tricky part of

3:13handicapping this series is I really do

3:16think the White Socks are taking this

3:17inning by inning and then the plan is

3:19going to change based on where they're

3:21at in the game which makes it difficult

3:24to handicap. What you know if you're the

3:25Guardians is you're getting Gavin

3:27Williams, you're getting a home game,

3:28and you also know that this is kind of a

3:30must-win. If you lose this one and you

3:32lose with Messi and you lose with

3:33Williams, I think they're in big trouble

3:35heading back to to the Southside for two

3:37games. So, a must-win game for your

3:39Guardians, Brian, do they get it done?

3:42>> First of all, hats off to you from

3:44breaking down the pitching situation in

3:46the White Sox game the other day. I had

3:48the over. I ran that I rode that 21 and0

3:52streak and I went down and uh I'm always

3:56going to run a streak like that as long

3:58as I'm getting a decent price. Um not

4:00big on streaks, but that one made a lot

4:02of sense to me. And that was the White

4:04Socks games go over after uh they've had

4:07a day off and they had the previous day

4:08off. It wasn't the White Socks that

4:10ruined it. It was Cleveland as Cleveland

4:12didn't hit very at all. But you called

4:14that White Socks pitching

4:16great. And as I watched the game, I go,

4:18"Yeah, that's what he said." Yeah. So,

4:20that was impressive. Um, regardless of

4:23who what he had in the game, good

4:25handicap. Uh, anyway, we got K going.

4:27He's the lefty against Gavin Williams.

4:29And Williams is about a one right now,

4:32about a 150 favorite, six and a half uh

4:34the total. And K's the lefty, meaning

4:38Cleveland, they're trying to go against

4:40Cleveland's weakness. other than hitting

4:42overall because Cleveland is not a very

4:44good hitting team. They are worse

4:46against lefties. They have a 91 on on

4:48the season. WRC plus against lefties, 99

4:51I think against righties. But I like the

4:54way this sets up for Chicago a little

4:56bit because having the day off, those

4:59other guys will probably I don't know if

5:02they'll they'll pitch them today or but

5:05they will be should be available I would

5:06think. Um, okay. Lefty going against

5:10Cleveland. And if you take a look at who

5:12is expected to go, I think it's Sean

5:14Burke is probably going to be the the

5:16length here. He's going to be the the

5:18follower, I would assume. And he has

5:21owned Cleveland this season. You take a

5:24look at his last start, five innings, no

5:27earned runs. Previous start at against

5:30Cleveland, also in Cleveland by the way,

5:33six innings, one earned run. and he

5:36played against him in Chicago earlier

5:37and he went six and a third innings give

5:39up one earn run. So even though the line

5:42here is based on the starting pitcher,

5:47uh we'll probably get two, we may get

5:49two, three innings out of K and then we

5:50get Burke and they won't need the other

5:53guys, both other guys. So only one of

5:54them may have to pitch. But that's a

5:56pretty good uh lineup here uh situation

6:00when you're getting plus 130 to 135

6:02back. Uh yeah, Clay Cleveland's been a

6:04team that's had been a they've been able

6:06to win the games that uh they needed to

6:08win going down the stretch. They've done

6:09that two years in a row. Uh Gavin

6:12Williams is a work workhorse and he's a

6:15guy that's uh going to be very good out

6:17there. But if I'm playing this game, I

6:20think uh the line's too high. So just we

6:23say that all the time, if it's in a

6:24must-win situation, you must not be that

6:26good. Well, it's a fiveame series. It's

6:28not must-win, but it's you better you

6:31better get it done. and and Cleveland's

6:33been decently on decent on the road. I

6:34think they won in Chicago before. So,

6:36it's it's not a killer if they don't win

6:39this game, but they're the pressure is

6:41all on them where Chicago was been

6:43playing with free money pretty much all

6:45season long because they weren't

6:46expected to do well other than that one

6:48stretch during the regular season or end

6:50of the regular season where they started

6:52losing. That was the only choke job they

6:54did all season. So, I kind of like

6:55Chicago in this one.

6:57>> Tokyo Brandon Guardians White Socks. Uh

7:00what can you tell us about this game?

7:02Yeah. Um Gavin Williams, K. Yeah, don't

7:07expect Kay to go very long. Agree that

7:10Burke will probably get the majority uh

7:13of the innings here for the White Socks.

7:16They do have some arms that they can

7:18bring in uh hold things down. You know,

7:22I kind of like both lineups for these

7:24teams, but I especially like the White

7:26Sox lineup. I agree. I think the line is

7:28a little too high. Uh runs might be

7:31tough to come by for the Guardians, but

7:34I'm seeing team totals for the White

7:36Socks at two and a half. I think that's

7:38kind of ridiculous. Um don't know why

7:40the White Sox are two and a half. Uh

7:43yeah, Williams is a good pitcher, but I

7:46think the White Sox are swinging pretty

7:48good bats here. So I think a White Sox

7:50team total over might be a way to go

7:52here. Perhaps

7:54>> you can get that about minus 130 out

7:56there. So, I agree that I think that's

7:58uh that's another good way to look at

7:59this game.

8:00>> Yeah, if we're doing parlay legs,

8:02that'll probably be mine. I do see it at

8:04three and a half at a couple of books,

8:07but the majority of them have it two and

8:08a half. So, I think I I think a good uh

8:12over two and a half would be a good

8:14play. And Oscar Schneider, I love your

8:17uh avatar, Jean Simmons.

8:20>> Yeah, no parlay with two games, but if

8:22feel free to give give thoughts out. I

8:24mean, if you know, I don't Here here's

8:26the thing with the White Socks. Like on

8:28one hand, they've seen Williams a good

8:30amount. On the other hand, not great

8:32numbers against Gavin Williams for the

8:34White Sox. I think hitting him probably

8:35like two 210 maybe as a team. I'm going

8:38off memory here. Uh against Williams.

8:40But I'm willing to sort of throw some of

8:43that out right now because they are

8:44swinging the bat awesome uh so far in

8:47the playoffs. I don't think there's a

8:48another team I mean they it's not like

8:51quantity of runs obviously you you had

8:53some higher scores in that uh wild card

8:55round but like they came out in both of

8:58those games against the Astros got the

8:59big hit early come out against the

9:01Guardians get the big hit early. Um that

9:04is huge for the White Sox because it

9:06lets them sort of decide what they want

9:07to do. So here's here's what I think

9:10you're going to see with the pitching

9:11here. I think Will Venal, and he's not

9:14gonna say this, but I think he's

9:15starting to treat the Hagen Smith, Grant

9:18Taylor game as a as like a start,

9:21meaning he's gonna try to use those two

9:24together when he thinks he has a good

9:26chance to win the game. I don't think

9:28you see either of those guys here. I

9:30think you get the win in game one. Um

9:32Grant Taylor's not pitching today. He

9:34went four innings uh two days ago. That

9:36that was one of the the highest pitch

9:38counts he's had all year. He's not going

9:40to pitch today. So you can pretty much

9:41So that's one sort of notch. You know,

9:44you you know, you're not getting Grant

9:45Taylor in this game. That would be a

9:47worse decision than putting Chris Sale

9:49in in a 4R run lead. That would just

9:51that's not not going to happen. I don't

9:53think they're going to go to Hagen Smith

9:56either, unless this was a scenario where

9:59Smith said he was okay. He felt like he

10:01had a good left- on left matchup and the

10:03White Socks got to the end of the game

10:05and like they were in the lead. And then

10:07it's like, well, would you burn Smith

10:09for a win? Yeah, probably. I think he'd

10:11probably do that. What I think you're

10:13going to see here is Anthony Kay go

10:16maybe seven to nine batters. I talked

10:19about this on Saturday. Anthony K really

10:22good first time through the order.

10:24Numbers drop off considerably when he

10:26goes through the order the second time.

10:28He's also been good first time through

10:30the order as a starter for whatever

10:32reason. Uh they tried to put an opener

10:34in front of him at one point. It didn't

10:36work as well as just letting him start

10:38the game um go the first second inning.

10:41If you look at his starts the second

10:43half, almost every one where he gets in

10:45trouble is like the fourth or fifth

10:47inning when he's the traditional

10:50starter. Um he pitched in Saturday's

10:52game, so he threw an inning in a third.

10:54Um was solid. I think you'll see him no

10:58more than nine batters. So whether that

11:00he can be super economical and get two

11:02innings out of that, three innings

11:05maybe, whatever, but like I don't think

11:07you're going to see him for more than

11:08nine batters. I think the plan here for

11:10the White Socks is going to be to cut

11:13this game up uh between their starters

11:15that they don't really trust throwing

11:17full games. So that means you're

11:19probably going to get a K Burke Fetty

11:23like nine inning mashup if the White

11:26Socks are winning. If the White Socks

11:28are losing and that's where the handicap

11:30gets really tricky. Let's say the the

11:32Guardians go out and get early runs.

11:34Well, now suddenly the pitching uh is

11:38going to change drastically because I

11:40think what Venible will do is they'll

11:42hold off one of those middle inning guys

11:44for game three. What that means is could

11:47you see like a Tyler Davis I think it is

11:50or maybe a Richards in like some bulk

11:53duty here just to eat up innings. Yeah,

11:56I could see that because the White Sox

11:57already got the win in Cleveland that

12:00they feel like they need. So, it makes

12:02the White Sock side a little less

12:03appealing, but it certainly like if if

12:06that happens, Brian, you may have been a

12:09game early on the over because if the

12:10White Sox start to use some of those

12:12depth guys, like let's say Gavin's got a

12:14two nothing lead, fifth, sixth inning,

12:16and now the White Socks use some of

12:18those depth guys,

12:20>> you could see this one getting over six

12:21and a half. Uh, but I but if it

12:24pricewise, I still think the White Socks

12:26are a better team. So, I'm on White

12:28Socks or it's White Socks or pass for me

12:30here. I just don't like it as much as I

12:32like game one. Uh because I don't think

12:34you're going to see Grant Taylor or

12:35Hagen Smith. So, that that's my uh it's

12:38my assessment on this game. I don't know

12:39if it helps you bet it, but at least I

12:41feel like you should know what you're

12:43looking for there.

12:44>> Yeah.

12:46>> All right, let's go to the next game.

12:49Game number two for today. Game two down

12:52in the trap. Brian, I'll let you start

12:54this one off as well. The Rays fans

12:57showed up in game one. I didn't know the

12:59Rays had that many fans. I don't know if

13:01they bust them in. I maybe they gave out

13:03free tickets. I don't know where they

13:04found them [laughter] all.

13:06>> But the Rays Well, you have to take

13:07pretty much take a bus or or even a

13:09short flight from Tampa to St.

13:11Petersburg. That's another issue. A lot

13:13of Tampa fans have a a hard time getting

13:15out there. It is a pain. Uh when I was

13:18in

13:19>> the when I went to the Trop, I had to go

13:21from Tampa uh to St. Pete. Kind of a

13:23pain. Um, probably another reason they

13:25struggle in attendance, but not in game

13:27one. The Rays fans were great. The trop

13:30looked full and the Rays held on for a

13:32one- nothing win. The Yankees have their

13:34guy on the mound here and Cam Schlitler

13:36feels like a spot that now the Yankees

13:38need to win. So, Yankees raised Brian,

13:40kick us off. How do you see this one?

13:42>> Yeah, last time uh Slintler pitched

13:44against Tampa Bay was just two weeks

13:46ago. So, they're very fresh in their

13:48minds that they've seen him before. Uh,

13:51Sliter's about a 130 favorite. We have

13:53my 28 favorite with a total of six and a

13:56half slightly to the over. Uh Schletler

13:59has like a 1.16 RA on the road this

14:02year. He's pitched like 110 innings. Uh

14:05he has been fantastic all season long.

14:07This I think this is the fourth time

14:08he's played Tampa Bay. Tampa's hit him

14:10pretty well. Um considering what he's

14:13done against everybody else. Not not

14:15well enough to expect him to score more

14:18than three runs in this game, but they

14:21uh they've been pretty competitive

14:22against him. so far this season. Um,

14:27that was that was a if if you're an old

14:29school type of uh baseball fan, that was

14:32the game that you love. That was that

14:34was clearly a Tampa Bay perfecto is they

14:40want to beat you by pitching, defense,

14:42and speed. And that's what they did in

14:45game one against the Yankees. And

14:46they've been very good against the

14:47Yankees all season long. Uh, the Yankees

14:51have a have a problem facing Tampa Bay.

14:53There's certain teams that everybody out

14:55there has problems with. I mentioned it

14:57the other day with San Diego's played

14:59Milwaukee pretty well and um it's uh

15:02it's been another series that could have

15:04gone either way. So, yeah, it's a it's a

15:07situation where Schlitler's done very

15:09well against him and I expect him to

15:10pitch pretty well again today. Freddy

15:12Peralta is a guy who is completely

15:16different pitcher than what he was

15:17earlier this year in Milwaukee. Down the

15:19stretch, he's been terrific. Um, but the

15:23problem is I think the line's right

15:25here. I This is about what I would have

15:27made it. Um, if you got two equal

15:29pitchers, you're probably going to give

15:31Tampa Bay about a 125 homem advantage.

15:34You got the situational spot here where

15:37the Yankees are the team that needs to

15:38win and you also have them with a better

15:41pitcher on the mound. Um, Yankees

15:44probably get the win, but I I can't uh I

15:46can't lay that 130 out there right now

15:48in uh 1251 130. So, I'll be sitting this

15:52one out most likely unless I can find

15:54another way to get involved with her

15:56team total, something to that effect.

15:59>> TB, get in here. Yankees Rays, what do

16:01you got for game two?

16:04Yeah, remember I do have a 5% play today

16:06in Major League Baseball, one of these

16:08two games. Uh, and in this one, I agree

16:12with Brian. Praa has been great. I must

16:14be like some magic pitching dust they

16:16have in Tampa, but all their pitchers

16:18are really good. Uh, really good

16:21coaching, well put together team. Uh, I

16:25see Yankees with every advantage here

16:27except the bullpen. Um, but I don't see

16:30either team hitting really that well. I

16:33got, you know, both of them mediocre or

16:36worse. And with two really good pitchers

16:38on the mound, I think the under is the

16:40play here. Uh, if the Yankees bullpen

16:44can hold it together, I think Schlitler

16:46will go six innings. Um, possibly go

16:49into the seventh, but I don't think

16:50they'll put him that long in this early

16:53of a series, but it is kind of a

16:54must-win for the Yankees. There is no

16:56must win like you said at this point,

16:58but uh yeah uh if they could grab one in

17:01Tampa that'd be great, but you you

17:03should not you you should not be like a

17:06minus what are they minus 130 on on the

17:09road. Tampa is a great home team. Um so

17:13I wouldn't lay the price, but yeah, I

17:14agree with Brian. The Yankees probably

17:16win. I think the under probably the play

17:17in this one. I like both pitchers and I

17:20not really enamored with either lineup

17:22as as as they've been producing here in

17:24the playoffs.

17:26>> Yeah, I I guess like you know Schlitler

17:29is obviously he's going to probably win

17:30the Sai Young in the American League.

17:32He's one of the best pitchers in the

17:33league. He was fantastic uh last round

17:35against the Red Sox, but he's owned the

17:37Red Sox over the years. We kind over the

17:40year not, you know, he's only been in

17:41the league since really for a little bit

17:43over a year now. It's kind of crazy. It

17:45feels like he's been around longer than

17:47that. But, uh, you know, the Red Sox, he

17:49just, you could just tell like he gets

17:51up for those start starts. He's got tons

17:53of confidence pitching against that Red

17:55Sox lineup. I'm not saying he's not

17:56going to be up for a playoff start in

17:58game two, but, you know, this this

18:01raise, the way that they go about

18:03hitting, their approach, I think is a

18:06little bit tougher on Schlitler. He's

18:08not going to get as much swing and miss.

18:10they they will, you know, he he likes to

18:12throw that fast ball and he can kind of

18:14blow it by some guys, but the Rays are

18:16not the team that you're going to be

18:17able to do that with. Like they they're

18:19really just trying to put the ball in

18:20play, put pressure on opposing defenses.

18:23We we've seen the Yankees, you know,

18:25have have defensive blunders at times.

18:27Um, again, like I just more more I watch

18:31that game one and then the just the way

18:34in which the Rays won that game where

18:36it's a one- nothing game. The Yankees

18:38make the base running mistake, right,

18:41which is something that they've done

18:42over the years and and and like

18:46it it's starting to make it's starting

18:48to turn my opinion on like how this

18:51series might go. I came into the series

18:53saying, you know what, I think the

18:54Yankees are the better of these two

18:56teams. But after that game one game

18:58where the Yankees get one hit. Tokyo

19:00Brandon, you mentioned, you know, the

19:01Yanke Yankees lineup, they only get one

19:04hit. Go back to the Red Sox series, like

19:06they had their out offensive outbursts

19:08in those games, but they were later in

19:11the game in both games. So like they

19:13kind of broke through late in the game.

19:15I don't know if they're going to do that

19:16on the road here. Trop Pitchers Park.

19:20Um,

19:21everyone rested really in the Rays

19:23bullpen other than I think their closer

19:25came in for one inning. Uh, and now

19:27they've had a day off. So, again, it's

19:30just

19:31Yeah, I I don't I you know, I want I I

19:34want to stick to my guns and be like,

19:36"No, like you said, the whole year the

19:38Yankees are the better team. They've got

19:39the AL Sai Young on the mound here. You

19:42should be backing them." But Brian, I

19:43agree with you with the price. Minus 125

19:46seems about right. minus 130 and the

19:49Rays man I said this at the trade

19:50deadline they will Freddy Peralta will

19:54be starting a big game in the postseason

19:55for them and that like they know what

19:58they're doing he came out was terrible

20:01with the Mets this year was terrible in

20:02his first couple starts with the Rays

20:04he's been incredible like the last month

20:06plus and um yeah I wouldn't be that

20:09surprised if he pitched well either the

20:11one thing I will say is I prefer this

20:13Yankee lineup against right-handed

20:15pitching so you are getting a with

20:17Peralta here. I don't know if this is

20:19going to be enough to get me to the

20:20window. Very should be a great game.

20:22>> They did they did add a couple of

20:24injured guys to the to the uh playoffs.

20:28Um and they're both power hitters. So

20:31that's the problem. The the Yankees are

20:33going to win by power and Tampa Bay is

20:35going to win by everything else. Um,

20:37that's the one drawback in the playoffs

20:40is just swing for the fences and once in

20:42a while you're going to get lucky and

20:43you're going to maybe if there's a guy

20:44on base, there's two runs there and as

20:47opposed to the regular season, two runs

20:48in the playoffs, you know, you got a

20:50chance to win because the totals were

20:52only, you know, six, six and a half or

20:54whatever and they don't they don't play

20:56with those stupid uh extra inning rules

20:59as they do in the regular season.

21:01>> Yeah. And to your point, um, the

21:03Yankees, when you're a power team like

21:05that, when you rely on on power like

21:08that, it can come at times where you

21:10don't need it. A lot of people were

21:11saying last year in the playoffs, Aaron

21:13Judge hit 500. He hit 500, but most of

21:16those hits were in times where they

21:18were, they didn't need the hits.

21:20Actually, you need you need you need to

21:22look at how they hit with runners in

21:24scoring position when the pressure is on

21:26and when you need a hit. Um, and those

21:28power teams, they can they can hit home

21:30runs, but if they're down 8-2 and they

21:32hit a home run to make it 85, doesn't

21:33really matter. Um, so that's my view on

21:36the Yankees. I don't think they're

21:38clutch enough in my opinion. But I I

21:41think they they might win this game, but

21:43like you said, Adam, uh, the Rays are

21:46that kind of team that really get into a

21:48pitcher's head and annoy pitchers, like

21:51kind of like death by paper cuts kind of

21:53thing. So, I don't I think Schlitler is

21:56good enough to hold them down, but I

21:58think the way that the Rays operate will

22:00knock him out of the game fairly early.

22:02I think he he'll he'll get into the

22:04sixth inning. I'm not sure if he'll

22:05finish it or not.

22:07>> Yeah, this that's the that's how the

22:09Rays built this team. Uh very, you know,

22:11sort of anti kind of the the the thought

22:15around Major League Baseball what the

22:17past decade was got to get got to get

22:19guys that can slug, got to hit for

22:21power. um will will take extra base hits

22:24and home runs over average. But the a

22:27raise, a small market team, listen, guys

22:29that hit 40 home runs are expensive,

22:32right? Like they can't you you you have

22:34a guy that comes out hits 30, suddenly

22:36they're getting paid. You can get guys

22:38uh that slap the ball and are fast and

22:41get on base much cheaper. So the Rays

22:42are just playing to, you know, they're

22:45they're they're playing the hand they're

22:46dealt, but I think it's like they've

22:47done a phenomenal job of it. And yeah,

22:49like it they have a ton of team speed.

22:52The these guys get on base. That's tough

22:55tougher for Schlitler in my opinion than

22:57a than a team like the you know, let's

22:59say like the Red Sox who's got a couple

23:01of like big bats in it and yeah, they

23:03can you know when they're firing they

23:05can hit the long ball and stuff like

23:06that. This is like a much in my opinion

23:08a much tougher matchup for Schlitler

23:10than than the Red Sox were. They get on

23:12base potentially bunt. They they hit you

23:16know just just playing baseball. Um, and

23:18I think it's, you know, that probably if

23:21if there's one thing that keeps me off

23:22the Yankees here, it's probably that.

23:25So, yeah, that's

23:26>> and that's the problem the Yankees are

23:28going to have if they advance because if

23:31if they play Cleveland, it's very

23:33similar. And if they play uh Milwaukee

23:35is very similar. Now, the Yankees and

23:37the Dodgers are two teams very similar

23:39in that regard. I think the Dodgers are

23:41a little bit more athletic than the

23:43Yankees, but uh yeah, this is not a good

23:45matchup for the Yankees.

23:47Let's hope they bunt better than Tommy

23:49Edmond did.

23:51>> That cost him the game yesterday.

23:55>> Yeah. In the in the interest of trying

23:57to give, you know, and again, personally

23:59um per personally, I I I like the NL

24:04games tomorrow better. I'm I'm going to

24:05have much stronger takes uh on

24:08tomorrow's show. But Tokyo Brandon, you

24:10kind of touched on a uh total in the

24:12first game. What What was that again?

24:15White side. Well, we'll just kind of go

24:16around and give like a a actionable

24:19thought from these two games. So, I'll

24:20let you go.

24:21>> I think I think the White Socks bats are

24:23a little too hot to be two and a half

24:25team total. I I don't care who they're

24:27facing. I don't care if they're facing

24:29Christopher Sanchez. I think two and a

24:30half is too low for the White Socks. Uh

24:33so, I like that. Uh pretty much an over

24:36there, but I like an under in this

24:39Yankees game. So, I think the full the

24:41full game under is probably where I

24:42would go in the second game. Haven't

24:44done it yet, though.

24:46>> All right, Brian. Any anything that kind

24:48of is is better than something else for

24:51you on this slate today?

24:52>> Yeah, I I I was looking at the uh

24:55overunder for the Yankees at three and a

24:56half. I think that could go under. Uh

24:59but once again, you never know what's

25:01going to happen with a home run hitting

25:03team. Also, I did I thought Chicago had

25:06some value and I agree with TB. Uh

25:08Chicago over the two and a half and the

25:10team total is something I'm interested

25:12in as well.

25:14So, I think I again I don't know if I'll

25:18play the Yankees tonight. Haven't

25:19decided yet. I think what I would be o

25:23open to playing is maybe jumping in with

25:25a Yankees future right now. Um

25:29obviously, you know, just if if they can

25:32win this game, I think they're in a

25:34pretty good spot in this series. Um, so

25:36I think if you were gonna like take

25:37positions on the Yankees

25:40either in this series to win the

25:42American League, to win the World

25:43Series, like you're getting probably the

25:46best price. Like this is probably in my

25:48opinion the last chance to do it. Um,

25:51reason I say that is if they win the

25:54price gets considerably

25:57worse. Like you're you're losing the

25:59value of having lost game one. if they

26:02lose. I just don't know that you want to

26:04do that at 20 when they would have to

26:07then beat the Rays three times in a row.

26:09So, I think right now if you were

26:11looking for like a longer term position

26:13in the playoffs, and I haven't done this

26:15yet, but I'm just kind of thinking it

26:16over on the fly. Uh because I do I do

26:19think the Yankees like going into the

26:20the playoffs, they were my pick to make

26:22it to the World Series. Um I think if

26:24you were going to try to jump in with

26:26some Yankees futures, today is the day

26:28to do it. Uh because again, you're

26:30getting the discount from being down 01

26:32in the series. Uh but if they do win

26:34this game with Cam Schliter on the

26:35mound, then they're going back to the

26:37Bronx. And I just think they kind of put

26:40themselves a little bit in the driver's

26:41seat in this series, which is obviously

26:43what you'd want if you are a Yankee

26:45backer. So yeah, again, that's that's

26:47the best I can do here. Uh, but I guess

26:50I if I was going to play this game

26:52tonight, I'd be maybe seeing if I could

26:54convince myself uh to just ride with the

26:57AL Sai Young Cam Schlitler and the

26:59Yankees to even this up. Uh, so those

27:01are my thoughts.

27:03All right, we know Tokyo Brandon's got a

27:045% play. Brian, what do you have going

27:06on the site for today?

27:07>> I've got nothing up as of yet. Uh, I

27:10will be doing the hockey show in an hour

27:12and a half, nine and two to start the

27:14hockey season. Uh, we got some great

27:16deals out there for you. Um, I I I

27:20probably will have something in baseball

27:23today. It probably won't be a a larger

27:25play. I'm not going just because it's

27:28two games on there. I'm not going to

27:29force anything. So, uh, you've heard my

27:31opinions in baseball. It's going to be

27:33something out of what we talked about

27:34already. Um, and, uh, Monday Night

27:37Football at this point looks like I may

27:39be passing. So, uh, if you're a hockey

27:42fan, and you should be if you're like

27:44money, a 9-2 start to the season. and uh

27:47check out all the packages we've got up

27:48on the site.

27:50>> Yeah, I I mean I'm having a really good

27:52NFL season even with So I lost with the

27:54Bengals yesterday. Um that was

27:56>> I joined you.

27:57>> Uh yeah,

27:58>> it is what it is. Like I'm I I went into

28:00yesterday. Let's put it this way. I went

28:01into yesterday 10 and three on the NFL

28:03season. I only had two week four plays

28:05in the NFL. Uh one was the Bengals and

28:07one is tonight. So I'm I'm going to be

28:10going for a one in one NFL week. it. Win

28:13or lose, it's going to be my first

28:15losing week in the NFL because it's not

28:17a 5enter. Bengals was a 5enter for me.

28:19Uh but that is my action up on the site

28:22for today. Uh is Monday Night Football.

28:24So, um if I do play the baseball, I'll

28:27likely just give it out. Um I I haven't

28:30really decided yet. We'll see how late

28:31how close it gets to game time, but um

28:34yeah, just just keep an eye on on my

28:36Twitter or my free picks page. Uh, I'll

28:38put at least I'll put baseball thoughts

28:40in there as the day goes out. I don't

28:43know if I will get to the window with

28:45either of these two games.

28:47Tomorrow is $5 Tuesday and we'll be back

28:50to talk about the NL. Uh, they've broken

28:53this up to give Major League Baseball

28:55more of a give everyone more of a chance

28:58at like prime time standalone games. Uh,

29:00so tomorrow there's two games and we'll

29:02be back to talk about them both. Uh, if

29:04you are looking for a big baseball play,

29:06go grab Tokyo Brand. 5% play that goes

29:09tonight in Major League Baseball. And

29:12the three of us will see you in the

29:13morning for another another total basis.

29:15See you guys then.
