0:41Green Prince, is not your typical
0:43political commentator. He grew up in the
0:45West Bank and is the son of Sheikh
0:47Hassan Yousef, a prominent Hamas figure.
0:50He later broke away from Hamas and
0:51became one of its most outspoken
0:53critics. The background matters
0:55because when Mosab speaks about the
0:56Israeli-Palestinian conflict, he's not
0:59simply repeating talking points from a
1:00distance. He's drawing on his own
1:02experience and what he says he witnessed
1:04growing up around the movement. And this
1:05is exactly what makes his appearance at
1:07the European Parliament so
1:09controversial.
1:10The host clearly sees Mosab as someone
1:12who can offer an inside perspective that
1:14most political commentators simply don't
1:16have. But there's something important to
1:18watch for here. Mosab isn't just telling
1:20his personal story, he's making some
1:22extremely broad and controversial claims
1:23about the conflict, Islam, and the
1:25ideology behind it. Like the video and

2:40world who say free Palestine.
2:44While in reality, Palestine never
2:47existed.
2:49Except as a colonial entity.
2:54Against the indigenous of the land.
2:59I'm not saying that there were no Arabs
3:03in that region.
3:05But for some reason,
3:07Arabs were allowed
3:10to take their caravans from every
3:12destination in Arabia
3:15with no political borders
3:18to come and profit from the British
3:23mandate of Palestine.
3:26But the Jews
3:28who had to go through the Holocaust and
3:30the ethnic cleansing on the hands of
3:33Ottoman Empire
3:35for approximately 400 years, then the
3:38ethnic cleansing in Europe, then the
3:40Holocaust, they did not have the right
3:43to take the boat and escape the hell
3:46of Nazism
3:49to come and find a safe place where they
3:52could survive.
3:55This is a crime.
3:57It's colonialism.
3:59But for all the Arab and a Muslim
4:01invaders
4:03who came to profit,
4:05who did not have any connection to the
4:07land,
4:09that was legitimate.
4:14So, I was supposed to believe that I am
4:17a Palestinian.
4:19But what makes a Palestinian a
4:21Palestinian? Nobody has the answer.
4:24What makes the Palestinian different
4:26than the Egyptian or the Jordanian?
4:30It's not a human race.
4:32It's not a distinct language.
4:36It's not a religion.
4:39It is nothing but a violent ideology
4:43that was established as a hostile
4:46movement
4:48to annihilate
4:50the Jewish people
4:52from that land.
4:55The continuous
4:57Islamic
4:59and I insist to say Islamic
5:04attempt
5:06to kill the Jewish people.
5:08And that says that brings us
5:11to the ideological dimension that many
5:13of us are in denial. Why? Because we
5:15have 2 billion Muslims around the world
5:18and we don't want to piss them off.
5:20So, most of us stick our head in the
5:23sand in denial.
5:25While it's in the Quran, it's in the
5:27Hadith that it's an Islamic belief based
5:32on the Islamic most trusted
5:35sources
5:37that the end times will not come and the
5:39Mahdi, that's the savior of the Muslims,
5:42will not return until the Muslims
5:45annihilate all the Jewish people, not
5:48only in Israel, but worldwide.
5:53This is not only human delusion. They
5:56have been acting on it.
5:58It's a legislation.
6:01Many out there believe that Allah gave
6:04them the authority to punish the Jewish
6:07people.

6:49Okay, this is too controversial and I
6:51did not come here to say things about
6:53Islam,
6:54but this is very important to understand
6:57as a foundation of this conflict.
6:59Because if we really want to find a
7:01solution, then we need to understand the
7:03dimensions of the conflict and the
7:05ideological dimension of this conflict.

7:10the host clearly believes his personal
7:12history gives his argument unusual
7:13weight.
7:14Mosab grew up in the West Bank as the
7:16son of senior Hamas figure Sheikh Hassan
7:18Yousef and later broke away from Hamas
7:21to become one of its most prominent
7:22critics. But this is where the
7:23discussion takes a much bigger political
7:25turn. For decades, Middle East politics
7:28has revolved around the same questions.
7:30Who has the right to the land? Can
7:31Israelis and Palestinians coexist? And
7:34how much influence should religion have
7:35over politics? From the Oslo peace
7:37process to the rise of Hamas, the second
7:39intifada, October 7th, and the war that
7:41followed, the political landscape has
7:43repeatedly changed. Yet, the core
7:45conflict remains. Mosab argues that you
7:48cannot understand this conflict through
7:49territory and politics alone. He
7:52believes ideology and religion also have
7:54to be confronted, but there's an
7:55important distinction here.
7:57Hamas is a specific Islamist political
8:00and militant organization. It does not
8:02represent all Palestinians or all
8:03Muslims. And while slogans like from the
8:06river to the sea are used by some to
8:09demand Palestinian freedom, others
8:11interpret them as a call for Israel's
8:12destruction. Context matters. And this
8:15debate has now moved far beyond the
8:17Middle East. It is playing out in
8:18European parliaments, American
8:20universities, British streets,
8:22elections, and diplomatic meetings.
8:24Western politicians are increasingly
8:26being forced to balance Israel's
8:27security, Palestinian rights, the
8:29humanitarian crisis in Gaza,
8:31anti-Semitism, and freedom of political
8:33expression. That's what makes Mosab's
8:35appearance so significant.
8:37His story forces a difficult question.
8:40Is lasting peace possible without
8:42confronting the ideological forces
8:43driving the conflict while also avoiding
8:45the mistake of blaming entire
8:46populations or religions? So, here's the
