0:02[Music]

0:18Welcome back to London everyone. I am

0:20joined by none other than Where is she?

0:26They can't get her.

0:27>> Can't get me.

Wife joins the vlog

0:28>> Ah, there she is. got to joined by my

0:30wife uh this time. Uh so she has come

0:34down for the London trip having a little

0:36break from the kids and uh yeah it's

0:39going to be a good one. We are going to

0:41go meet up with the whole crew now.

0:42Amy's going to come as well. Going to

Lunch + podcast setup

0:44grab a bit of lunch then we're going in

0:45for a podcast studio. Got 2 hours in

0:50there but we're basically just filming a

0:51load of content which we can use for the

0:53launch coming up. And then I have a

0:56dinner tonight which is part of the crew

0:59capital investment dinner with the likes

1:02of Google Striper there uh Nvidia loads

1:07of amazing amazing companies and it's

1:09part of my master plan and the plan is

1:12in fact I'll tell you the plan later

1:13when I'm at the podcast studio but I can

1:16see here like Amy's filming me

1:19[Music]

1:25Well, well, well. I left you in Cardiff

1:29eating this and I find you in London

1:30eating this.

1:32>> Hello, CMO.

1:32>> I'm not taking any this time for the

1:34fridge.

1:34>> See you.

1:35>> You've grown a new mustache since I've

1:36last seen you.

1:37>> Looks like Pablo Escobar.

What is clip farming?

1:39>> All right, Hugo, explain to me what

1:41we're about to do, sir.

1:42>> About to go film a podcast. Well, not a

1:45podcast. Kind of a podcast.

1:47More clip farming than we're doing.

1:49>> Clip farming. Yeah,

1:50>> that's a new term.

1:52>> My turn, huh?

1:53>> Yeah, I like that.

1:55>> Okay, peers.

1:57>> That sounded so weird, didn't it?

1:59>> Pier, talk to us about what we're about

2:01to do. Hugo says we're clip farming. Is

2:03that correct?

2:04>> I've swayed against the clip farming

2:06process.

2:07>> We're pretty We're having a real heated

2:09discussion here in the uh Tripfi HQ. Has

Launch content strategy

2:12come has risen above his station if I'm

2:14honest and is dictating things

2:18>> that are not involving him. No. So

2:20basically we are obviously doing a big

2:22launch for workflows and everything that

2:24some people might have heard of, but

2:26instead of click farming, I wanted to

2:27angle this more towards that launch like

2:29actually spend money, you know, for

2:30something that's going to be useful

2:31rather than just randomly testing a sort

2:33of LinkedIn strategy that isn't actually

2:34proven. So the idea of it is to get a

2:37big well I'm calling it at the moment

2:39I'm calling it the big fat podcast big

2:41fat launch podcast which is just going

2:43to be you know we can release on launch

2:45or the week before as something to you

2:46know start hyping up but we can also we

2:49kind of tailored where we want to go

2:51with it obviously to hopefully answer

2:53questions people has have talk about the

2:57industry a bit more and make it like

2:58generally interesting and through that

3:00we can then generate clips because

3:02there's actual valuable content not just

3:03randomly asking questions

3:05and having kind of robotic arms.

3:07[Music]

3:12Here we are looking pretty bougie. I

Studio tour + filming setup

3:15would say this is going to be cool.

3:16We're going to get some good content

3:17today. The behind the scenes of

3:19everything that we're filming. Uh what's

3:21really cool is we have all of these

3:23cameras here.

3:26>> Serious setup. So yeah, I'm pretty

3:28excited about this. We're going to get

3:29some good content.

3:31>> All right, we're about to go live. Hugo,

3:34>> sorry I fil.

3:35>> He's filming on the film.

3:36>> I'm filming on the film. Yeah,

3:37>> we're about to go live. Great setup.

3:39I've kind of given you the preview here,

3:41but what we got? Two hours planned.

3:43>> Two hours planned.

3:44>> Uh questions.

3:45>> A lot of questions. I think this could

3:47be the start of a monthly trip down to

3:52um London. Get in your little booth,

3:54Pizzy. Let's Let's show

3:55>> Yeah, let's show everyone your cupboard.

3:57>> Let's show your cupboard. He's like

3:58Harry Potter and we put him away in the

4:00cupboard. Where is he? There he is.

4:02Look, he's in there.

4:03>> Today, podcast studio. Tomorrow.

4:05>> Look at this. By day, he's a SAS

4:09marketer. By night, he's a DJ. There's

4:11Hugo.

4:13>> What's this, though? This says, look,

4:14here we go. Oh,

4:15>> he's on air.

4:17>> On air.

New podcast format test

4:26>> Just finished. Um, that was really good.

4:29uh 2 hours of just solid chat.

4:32>> Solid chat.

4:33>> It was Yeah, it was all primarily

4:35focused on the launch. But the I think

4:36the really interesting thing that we're

4:38going to try is we've done highquality

4:40content before. We know that raw content

4:43works really well. We also know that

4:45we've seen like it's tough one because

4:47really good quality does work. But the

4:49difference that we've done here now is

4:51we've tried out basically a new format

4:53which is having like me and Hugo. So

4:56like two people in a in the shot. So it

5:00like it's like more of a relaxed high

5:03quality approach rather than just like

5:05your face doing a shot. So that'd be

5:07interesting to see that style.

5:08>> Yeah.

5:11[Music]

Crew Capital dinner

5:19>> Okay. So we changed. We had a nice

5:22little shower. Uh we had a nice little

5:25swim and jacuzzi in the pool and what

5:29we're doing now is we are off to a

5:32dinner with Crew Capital which is a

5:34investment firm. Now at this dinner it's

5:38an AI uh engineering leadership dinner

5:41uh which is going to be really cool

5:42because there are some incredible people

5:43there from Nvidia through to Stripe

5:46through to um Google AI through to loads

5:49of different people basically. Anyway,

5:50the the master plan is is one to gain

5:54interest with Crew Capital because I

5:56think they would be a great investment

5:57firm to potentially work with and the

6:00other is they have a close relationship

6:02with a chap called Harry Stebings which

6:05is the founder of the 20 VC podcast and

6:08he owns a 400 mil fund who I think would

6:11also be a really good fit with us given

6:14there's a natural synergy between his

6:17like media kind of empire that he's

6:20and obviously trigger fire with social

6:21listening as well. And so the plan is to

6:24go create the connection with crew

6:26capital generate interest there and then

6:28try and use their connection to get an

6:29intro with Harry as well

6:34and we want you.

AI Summit + CEO meetups

6:40>> All right guys, well what a busy busy

6:43day. You would have seen obviously from

6:45the clips some of the talks that we had

6:47at the AI summit. some amazing talks. We

6:49had the Uber CEO, we had the Figma uh

6:53CEO, we had Lovable CEO, we had Granola

6:56CEO. I mean, we had so many incredible

6:58CEOs there. Now, did I execute my master

7:00plan to chat to Harry Stebings? No. Uh I

7:03wasn't able to chat to him. However, the

7:05dinner that I had prior that to that,

7:07which was the night before with Crew

7:09Capital, was very successful. got a a

7:12couple of calls lined up out of the back

7:13of that, including hopefully a call with

7:15Crew Capital, of which they're very

7:18close to Harry and so I think we're

7:19going to have an introduction made

7:20there, which is really exciting. also

7:22bumped in today to my old uh CEO from

7:26Melwater as well and had a great chat

7:28with him to talk talked him through, you

7:30know, all the social stuff that we're

7:31doing with uh Sugarfy. And we're going

7:33to have some further chats there as well

7:35because I think there's some potential

7:37like overlap there between what he's now

7:39doing with his new company and also what

Final thoughts + next steps

7:42we're doing when it comes to embeddings

7:44and contextualizing social data as well.

7:47So, all in all, it's been uh yeah, just

7:50an incredibly positive positive couple

7:53of days. I am knackered. Last night, I

7:54didn't go to bed till 1ish because the

7:57dinner over overlapped and the time now

7:58is 10:00 and I'm only just getting back

8:00to the hotel. A lot of doors opened, a

8:03lot of contacts made, and the future I

8:05think is looking pretty exciting and

8:06pretty bright for Trigger. So, plan now,

8:09uh bedtime. Check out the view. Like,

8:11this is pretty cool. If you've not been

8:12to Bad Power Station. Wow. Yeah, we go.

8:16bedtime uh now and then work in the

8:20morning for a few hours. Train is at

8:222:00, so just basically crack on. I got

8:24a lot of emails, a lot of stuff to catch

8:26up on, a lot of ideas to map out and

8:28start getting in place. Um I will maybe

8:31do a bit of filming tomorrow, but

8:32otherwise, hope you enjoyed that vlog.

8:34That was a busy one.
