0:00The situation with Iran just heated up.

0:02>> Hey guys, good morning. Overnight, Iran

0:04launched at least eight ballistic

0:06missiles at US forces in Jordan. A US

0:08source familiar tells Fox News there

0:10were no significant impacts and the

0:12majority of the incoming fire was

0:15intercepted. The attack came after US

0:17forces struck Iran's Larak Island after

0:20identifying preparations for an IRGC

0:22rocket launch that was meant to place

0:24new sea mines in the straight of Hormuz.

0:26Sentcom released a statement saying US

0:28forces took limited precise action

0:30against IRGC mine lane forces posing an

0:33imminent threat in the straight of

0:34Hormuz. In essence, Iran created the

0:36threat and the US military eliminated it

0:39to protect civilian mariners, commercial

0:42shipping, and the free flow of

0:43commercial of global commerce. Now, this

0:45is the first known US strike against

0:47Iran since late July.

0:48>> But think about what position that puts

0:50the United States in. Just a few days

0:52ago, Trump said the straits open. We got

0:54rid of all the mines here. Iran is about

0:56to launch rockets that are going to drop

0:58mines in the Straight of Hormuz, which

1:00means if a ship were to hit one of

1:01those, it would be America's fault. But

1:03that's not all. Watch this.

1:04>> Iranian President Massud Peskin spoke

1:06today about the exchange of fire.

1:10>> We do not seek war. That has been our

1:12message to the world until now. However,

1:15in the face of aggression, we will not

1:17stand by. We are capable of delivering

1:20decisive response. Instability in this

1:22region would affect everyone and create

1:24serious problems. Instability is in no

1:27country's interest.

1:28>> So then why put mines in the straight of

1:30that comes as reports indicate the US

1:31may ramp up economic pressure this week

1:33against Iran following new sanctions

1:35last week. Iranian officials reacted

1:37over the weekend with Iran's Supreme

1:38Leader Mustaba urging more domestic

1:41production and less reliance on the US

1:43dollar. And you know why that is?

1:45Something very strange started happening

1:47in Iran over the last few days. Check

1:49this out. You have these wild gas lines

1:53all over the country. An oil producing

1:56nation is unable to refine its own

1:58natural resource and provide gas for its

2:01economy. This is wild.

2:02>> The blockade has been unbelievable. The

2:05financial

2:06uh the financial hits that we're giving

2:09them, we're hitting them very hard.

2:10Never nobody's ever been hit like this.

2:12>> And they're a failing nation right now.

2:15>> And at the right point, we'll either win

2:17or they'll do something. But, you know,

2:19I don't mind winning. Just winning that.

2:21I don't need a signature on a piece of

2:23paper. But we're doing very well. Their

2:25navy's gone. Their air force is gone.

2:27Their leaders are gone. Their uh all of

2:30their anti-aircraft.

2:31>> So, what can we take from that

2:33statement? The president says it is

2:35possible to win this thing without a

2:36deal and without a signed piece of

2:38paper. And the second thing he said is

2:40it looks like Iran may try something.

2:41Now, he said that before this attack on

2:44the US Marines and now look at what the

2:46president is saying. President Trump

2:47told Fox News there will be a US

2:50response to the Iranian attack on US

2:53forces overnight in Jordan. The

2:55president said we're going to hit them

2:56hard. There will be a response. The

2:59president said all of the missiles were

3:01shot down with the exception of one that

3:03wasn't going to hit anything

3:04significant. Overnight, Iran launched at

3:06least eight ballistic missiles at US

3:08forces in Jordan. The attack came after

3:10US forces struck Iran's Lark Island

3:13after identifying preparations for an

3:14IRGC rocket launch that was meant to

3:17place new sea mines in the straight of

3:18Hormuz. So Iran is claiming that the

3:21United States is the aggressor here. But

3:24Iran had a plan to put mines in the

3:25straight of Hormuz, which wouldn't just

3:27endanger US ships, but all ships. And

3:29what did Iran's leaders say? Their

3:31leverage is destabilization. Their

3:33leverage is uncertainty. This is the

3:35currency with which they are continuing

3:38this campaign of aggression on their

3:39end. Look at this. They're trying to sew

3:41that uncertainty right now. They're

3:43saying that a tanker in the street of

3:45Hormuz struck two mines. But that's

3:48actually false. And if something like

3:50that were to happen, that's actually

3:52false. But if something like that were

3:53to happen, what would it do to oil

3:55prices? Oil prices would go to $100,

3:57$200 a barrel if tankers were being

3:59sunk. And that's their plan.

4:01Destabilization. Try to wreck the world

4:03economy. Make it all Trump's fault so

4:05that Trump loses the midterms. But

4:07there's more. Look at this.

4:08>> US forces struck two Iranian launchers

4:11on Laric Island. Forces there were seen

4:13preparing to launch rockets with sea

4:15mines into the straight of Hormuse. And

4:18SenCom says it completed clearing sea

4:20mines from the straits international

4:22shipping routes last week. This marks

4:24the first US military action in about a

4:27month. The last time the US confirmed

4:29targeting Iran was on July 29th.

4:32President Trump posting an AI generated

4:34video saying that Carg Island where

4:36roughly 90% of Iranian oil exports

4:39originate was being quote blown to

4:41smitherreens. Well, Iran denies that and

4:43so far there's been no evidence that the

4:45island was under attack. Although,

4:47President Trump also said this in an

4:48interview that aired this weekend that

4:50was taken earlier. So, is he going to

4:52strike? The war in Iran hit its sixth

4:54month mark on Friday. The US Treasury is

4:57likely to unveil new secondary sanctions

5:00to ramp up pressure on Iran. US Treasury

5:03Secretary Scott Bessant said this quote

5:05yesterday. You're going to see a lot

5:07more of these every week. We're starting

5:09with the banks and we're telling banks

5:11it's not okay to have Iranian money and

5:13to aid the regime.

5:14>> Every week the United States is going to

5:16ramp up economic pressure. And look what

5:18that's doing to Iran's economy. They're

5:20shutting down and they're now going

5:22about lockdowns in their own country.

5:24Look, apparently in this interview,

5:26their president is saying that they've

5:28talked with the heads of various offices

5:31to shut them down and switch to remote

5:34work so they don't consume electricity,

5:37gas, travel expenses. Remote work is

5:41possible. That's not a thriving economy.

5:43That's not a system that is surviving.

5:44Remote work happens before everything

5:47falls apart. And you can't operate like

5:48that forever. If remote work was so

5:50great, they would have been doing it

5:51before this conflict happened. But

5:53there's more. Look at this.

5:54>> Iranian officials are now reacting

5:56publicly to the new US economic pressure

5:59against their country. Iran's Supreme

6:01Leader Mustaba Hamayi released a rare

6:03statement over the weekend urging more

6:06domestic production and less reliance on

6:08the US dollar. His official exac account

6:10posted equally vital is giving special

6:13attention to economic growth, boosting

6:15production, gradually phasing out the US

6:17dollar from playing a pivotal role, and

6:19ultimately making resistance economy the

6:21central focus. All of which are among

6:23the goals of the serviceoriented

6:25government. President Peskian also

6:28discussed the strain experienced in

6:30Thran.

6:31>> Listen to this. Exports and imports have

6:33fallen by 25 to 35%.

6:36>> This is our exports have fallen more,

6:39but our imports have also declined. Of

6:41course, exports have seen a bigger drop

6:44than imports.

6:45>> This is clear to those who understand

6:47economics. I do not want to spell it

6:49out. I do not know what to say to those

6:52who claim that the sanctions have no

6:54effect.

6:55>> And now this comes as the US naval

6:57blockade remains in full effect. US

6:59Central Command says as of August 28th,

7:02SenCom forces have redirected 82

7:04commercial vessels.

7:05>> So this blockade that we heard wasn't

7:07working. It wasn't doing anything. It

7:09started slow, but now things have gotten

7:12to a point where the footage coming out

7:14of Iran of what this economic blockade

7:16is doing is just so incredible to look

7:19at. It cannot be ignored. And there's no

7:21way a news network that wants to try and

7:23carry water for the regime in Iran is

7:25able to just wash that away and say,

7:27"Oh, no, that's not actually happening."

7:29It is happening. They just told

7:31everybody that has a job, stay home. Use

7:33the internet. Oh, wait. But the internet

7:35doesn't work there all the time because

7:36they shut it down when there are

7:38protests or when they don't want certain

7:39information going out. Things are not

7:42looking good. And this explains why

7:45there was this rocket attack and this

7:47ballistic attack. This is a lastditch

7:50effort to try and mess with the world

7:51economy and make it look like Trump has

7:53failed.

7:54>> Hey Trey, so the word is they would

7:56thought they were laying mines. They

7:58were probably and they just cleaned out

8:01the whole area.

8:02>> So they're not going to let them put

8:04mines down again. So it makes perfect

8:06sense.

8:07>> Do you get the sense that the straight

8:10is going to continue to build? I think

8:12it's averaging 27 ships there uh a day

8:15and I think when it's when it's at its

8:17best it's between about between 100 and

8:20115. Do you get the sense it's going to

8:22continue today?

8:23>> Of course it is.

8:26>> Yes, absolutely. What's happening right

8:28now is we hear these statements from

8:29Iranian officials in Thran and they say

8:31the straight of Hormuz is closed. But

8:33the US Navy is overseeing vessels each

8:35and every night with millions of barrels

8:37of crude oil that are currently stuck in

8:39the Persian Gulf out through this

8:41southern route out of the straight of

8:42Hormuz.

8:43>> And here's the fascinating thing about

8:44this. If Iran was telling the truth, if

8:47they were legitimately able to say that

8:49the straight of Hormuz is closed and if

8:50you sail through there in your vessel,

8:53you may encounter a mine, something may

8:55happen. Why are they trying to put new

8:56minds out there? If they've got plenty

8:58of minds out there, if they've got this

9:00thing on lockdown and they control this

9:01area, why are they doing something now

9:04to try and make what they're saying a

9:06reality if it's already a reality? That

9:08doesn't make any sense at all, does it?

9:09Now, there are also posts, alleged viral

9:13posts claiming that the US Navy is

9:17creating a way to bypass the straight of

9:19Hormuz, digging a new route for ships on

9:22the Omani side. Reports claim satellite

9:25imagery indicates a covert dredging

9:27operation has secretly created a

9:30previously unused shipping corridor.

9:32According to the report, the route is

9:341,600 ft wide and has a natural depth of

9:37roughly 93 feet, potentially allowing

9:40very large crude carriers to navigate

9:42it. So far, there haven't been any

9:43official reports of this, but if it

9:45happens, you know that the people in

9:48Iran are going to do something about it,

9:50which could mean another attack. But as

9:52we've seen, the US military, there are

9:54still 50,000 personnel over there ready

9:57to make sure that shipping stays safe in

9:59this part of the world. Look, but just

10:01before we continue, this is a paid

11:31>> And so, it's an indication that the US

11:33military has the ability to undercut

11:35Iranian efforts to close the straight.

11:37and they are watching closely if the

11:39Iranians try to remine the straight of

11:41moose and that's exactly what took place

11:43overnight. The Iranians have these fars

11:45five rockets and they have a distance a

11:48range of about 65 nautical miles and

11:50they can be used to place sea mines and

11:52that's exactly what the US military

11:54wants to avoid because they want to keep

11:56this critical waterway open and flowing

11:58so that more vessels can start to pass

12:00through. This coupled with the ongoing

12:02US naval blockade is putting new

12:04pressure on the Iranian regime. And it

12:06even forced Iranian officials over the

12:08weekend to admit this economic pressure.

12:10Not just the Supreme Leader Mustavi, but

12:12also Iran's president Masud Peskian said

12:14in an interview with state media. I

12:17don't know what to say to people that

12:18say that sanctions have no effect on our

12:20country.

12:21>> Yeah,

12:21>> Trey

12:23attacking US forces that are stationed

12:25in in Jordan. If you're an American

12:28family and you have a child that is

12:30stationed in Jordan, that's pretty

12:31alarming. You said uh the majority of

12:34the missiles have been intercepted so

12:35far. The ones that were not intercepted,

12:37do you know how many there were and

12:39where they hit?

12:40>> So, we don't have exact numbers yet, but

12:42the indication is that the Iranians

12:44targeted US bases in Jordan. Remember

12:46earlier this year, US forces were killed

12:48in a similar Iranian missile attack.

12:50These are very serious missiles that the

12:52Iranians are using, and they still have

12:54some in their arsenal. We do know that

12:56the US has shifted a lot of their air

12:58defense to the TH that and Patriot

12:59systems to protect these areas and the

13:01US forces that are there.

13:02>> You know what? These US troops that are

13:05in Jordan, you've got people that are

13:07out there and that are saying, "Oh, the

13:08US shouldn't have any troops overseas.

13:10We shouldn't do this, shouldn't do

13:11that." Look, these troops are protecting

13:13the entire peaceful world by just being

13:16in harm's way because they're the

13:18closest target to this regime. This

13:20regime wants to make a strike. This

13:22regime wants to put people in harm's

13:23way. this regime says it wants to strike

13:25back at the US forces. Well, if they're

13:27close, what does that mean? That means

13:29they get all the attention. They are

13:31deliberately drawing fire from the

13:33Iranians just by their presence there.

13:35And their presence there is something

13:36that the entire world, especially people

13:38in our country, should be very thankful

13:41of. Meanwhile, once again, conflict

13:43breeds uncertainty. Oil prices are

13:46elevated. $85 a barrel today. On Friday,

13:50it was 83. So, they're up. And if you

13:52look over this five-year period of oil

13:55prices, you know, you could see where

13:57stuff happened. But what was this over

13:59here? When Joe Biden was president,

14:01there was no conflict in the Middle

14:02East. Can you imagine if there had been

14:04a conflict in the Middle East when oil

14:05was $118 a barrel on June 3rd, 2022?

14:10What would oil prices have looked like

14:11then if the US had no leverage and no

14:14ability to help work on behalf of our

14:16own country and the free world against a

14:19regime that says it wants to threaten

14:20it? Think about that for a second while

14:22you watch this.

14:23>> So Trey, we heard the statement from the

14:25Iranians essentially as they are

14:27attacking uh the neighbors in the Gulf,

14:29but they want them to be partners again.

14:31>> Yeah.

14:32>> And on the face of you look at that and

14:34as you say that's just ridiculous that

14:36you can't attack people and expect them

14:37to be friends. But we've also heard of

14:40some of the Gulf States potentially

14:42doing their own deals with the run. Is

14:44there any I guess facts to that that

14:48this is happening behind the scenes or

14:50are they going to be in lock step with

14:52the United States?

14:53>> Oh, it's happening. Oman was trying to

14:55work out.

14:55>> So there are indication that talks

14:56continue between Oman and Iran about

14:59control of the straight of Hormuz. But

15:00President Trump has rejected these talks

15:02because he says the US is in control of

15:05the strait and they will decide

15:06ultimately when and where vessels are

15:08getting through.

15:09>> One thing we don't know is we don't know

15:11what's going on beneath the news. We've

15:14got the news that negotiators in Oman

15:16and Iran are trying to come up with some

15:18agreement on the Straight of Hormuz.

15:20That very well might be true. We've also

15:22got this alleged dredging operation to

15:25bypass the Straight of Hormuz. Both of

15:27those things could be true at the same

15:29time, but one greatly changes the

15:30interpretation of the other, doesn't it?

15:32We don't have all the facts. All we can

15:34do is sit back and look at what's

15:36happening here and try to digest for

15:38ourselves exactly what is being said and

15:40what it actually means. And we can tell

15:42a few very important things from what

15:43Iran is saying. Iran is saying that

15:46their country is experiencing problems

15:49because of these sanctions by going to

15:51remote work. What they're saying is they

15:53do not see a future, at least a near

15:55future, where they're going to have

15:56enough oil to function normally. Now,

15:58they're an oil producing nation. At the

16:00exact same time, they claim the Straight

16:02of Hormuz is 100% under their control,

16:04but they're trying to fire their rockets

16:06and drop mines in the Straight of Hormuz

16:07because it's not under their control.

16:09And we can square all of this with the

16:11fact that oil prices are not going

16:12parabolic. And we can put together a

16:15picture that reveals that the US is in

16:18control of this and that when the

16:19president says our blockade is working

16:20and the straight is open, he's right. It

16:23is those things are true. And here's

16:25what happens next. Look

16:26>> ask you about what what you are hearing

16:27about what's happening inside Iran. Not

16:29with the leadership, the current

16:30leadership, but with the people there.

16:32It's been over 6 months now. They have

16:34very little internet access. The

16:36inflation's out of control. How much are

16:38they suffering?

16:38>> And now they're supposed to stay home

16:40and work from home.

16:41>> Yeah, we're starting to get new images

16:42from inside of Iran that show long lines

16:44at gas stations, rising food prices, and

16:47severe economic indications about the

16:49Iranian realal that crossed 2.1 million

16:52realale to one US dollar today. A

16:54historic low for the country's currency.

16:56This is taking place under the backdrop

16:58of these ongoing US economic sanctions

17:00and the US naval blockade that is making

17:02it extremely challenging for the

17:04Iranians to export any crude oil to prop

17:06up their economy. So the Iranian people

17:08are starting to speak out. We have heard

17:10some statements and sound bites from

17:12people there on the streets of Iran that

17:14say the cost of goods is rising there

17:16especially in the capital of

17:18>> Trey with this latest attack. You know,

17:20obviously Iran still has the capability

17:21to shoot off a few missiles here and

17:23there, but it seems just so different

17:25from the start of the war and the past

17:26couple years when Iran was fighting with

17:28Israel when there were barges where we

17:30were seeing hundreds of missiles coming

17:31in at a time. I remember watching you do

17:33live shots where there were just

17:34missiles falling out of the sky like a

17:36meteor shower. Yeah, that's true. When

17:38this conflict first started, this guy

17:40right here in the center, he is in

17:42Israel and he was wearing like a

17:44bulletproof vest and a helmet and

17:46protective gear when he was giving these

17:48reports. And now he's not anymore. And

17:50this is the thing. Iran had so much

17:52conventional capability that their plan

17:55was to become so strong in a

17:56conventional sense that even without a

17:58nuclear deterrent, they would be so

18:01formidable that nobody would want to

18:03mess with their ability to place

18:06leverage on the straight of horses and

18:08to try and control the world economy and

18:10mess with the world economy the same way

18:12we're seeing today. Now, the fake news

18:14is out there acting like Trump has lost

18:16and this is just another sign that Iran

18:18is still around and it's been 6 months

18:20and they're still able to launch

18:22something, but what are we talking

18:24about? We're not talking about a barrage

18:25of 100 ballistic missiles at once. No,

18:29we're talking about a couple of rockets

18:30with mines laid on them that didn't

18:32actually get launched and their

18:34capability to get launched was removed

18:36by US forces. And then we hear that

18:38there was a launch of missiles at US

18:40bases in Jordan, but those were

18:42intercepted. We're not hearing hundreds

18:44of missiles at once. And this idea that

18:46Iran is stronger than they've ever been

18:48right now is a fairy tale.

18:51>> What does it say to you about Iran's

18:53missile capabilities now, that after 6

18:55months of war, they're really only able

18:57to shoot a handful of missiles?

18:59>> They're not the same.

19:01>> Yeah, it's a great question. Look, the

19:02bottom line here, the Iranian military

19:04is degraded, but not destroyed. And

19:06that's very important to look at because

19:08more than 6 months now into this

19:09conflict, the Iranians still do have the

19:11ability to launch ballistic and cruise

19:13missiles along with drones. The UAE says

19:16they shot down an incoming Iranian drone

19:18earlier today. And it gives you a sense

19:20of what remains in their arsenal along

19:22with the threat of these sea mines that

19:23according to US central command they

19:25were trying to place more of in the

19:27straight of Hormuz. Now they say they

19:28control this critical waterway that so

19:30much of the world's oil passes through.

19:32But we do know in the backdrop the US

19:34Navy is overseeing an operation to get

19:36millions of barrels of crude oil out of

19:38the Persian Gulf each day.

19:40>> Now let's think about this from the

19:42perspective of somebody who lives in

19:44Iran right now. When this conflict

19:46started, you knew that your company had

19:48your country had a formidable navy and a

19:51formidable ballistic arsenal and an air

19:54force. Today you do not get information

19:58from your own government that hundreds

20:00of missiles are being launched. Massive

20:02salvos are being launched in

20:04retaliation, like you were when this

20:06conflict started, like you were a year

20:08ago after the operation that took out

20:11Iran's nuclear facilities with the B2

20:14bombers. Meanwhile, there's

20:15hyperinflation. Meanwhile, there are gas

20:17lines. Meanwhile, they're telling you,

20:19"Do not leave your house. Stay home.

20:22Don't go anywhere. Don't use any fuel.

20:24whatever you do in an oil producing

20:26nation. So, the facts tell a very

20:29different story than the propaganda. And

20:32that's why we're now getting all these

20:34reports that the blockade is working.

20:35Things have gotten to such a point in

20:37Iran where what's happening there is

20:39impossible to ignore. Their president is

20:41saying that this is impossible to

20:43ignore. What do you think this means for

20:45the next few months? Do you think

20:46President Trump's right? Do you think

20:47Iran's going to try something? Let me

20:48know. I'll see you in the next
