Why Reddit drove 30% of Trigify signups in 60 days

0:00I'm going to go over how we've been

0:01using Reddit in the last 60 days

0:04actually drive 30% sign ups to the

0:08Triggerfyre platform through

0:09specifically Reddit and just generally

0:11the strategy or Reddit strategy that's

0:14absolutely been crushing it for us

0:16recently. Particularly just launched and

0:17we've been testing it internally the

0:19ability not only to monitor Reddit

0:20generally through keywords, but also now

0:22the ability to monitor Reddit through

0:25subreddits as well. So when I think

The 4 ways we use Reddit (training data, outbound, brand monitoring, GEO/SEO)

0:27about the opportunities with Reddit, I

0:29break it down into four kind of four

0:31areas. Of course there's more. The first

0:33one is we're using Reddit data as like

0:35training data. So I'm going to do

0:37another video on this another time, but

0:39I speak a lot about the kind of harness

0:42layer and particularly you know speak a

0:43lot about Hermes, which is like an open

0:45core equivalent. And the Reddit data is

0:48really helpful for giving context to

0:51agents so that we can make informed

0:53decisions about whatever task that we're

0:54doing going forward. The other key ones

0:56are targeted outbound. I think it was

0:59written from Clay, right? Who talked a

1:00lot about his strategy that he was

1:02searching manually on Reddit when they

1:04first started Clay to find anyone who

1:06was suffering from data enrichment

1:08issues and things like that and just was

1:09personally DMing them. So that's an

1:11interesting one. Brand monitoring

1:12generally and then GEO and SEO

1:14opportunity when it comes to the

1:16comments. Um this is an interesting one.

1:18Obviously we all know that Reddit is

1:20cited for LLMs. So we want to either use

1:22influencers, we want to post ourselves

1:25depending on what subreddit we want to

1:27posting on because there is an excellent

1:28opportunity for us to get mentions

1:30across that. So let's dive in. Today

Setting up keyword search in the Trigify app

1:32we're going to do it all through the

1:35Lcode app. Right? I'm going to use the

1:37app. You obviously can use the terminal.

1:38It's the same thing. So one of the key

1:40things that a lot of people struggle

1:41with is they don't know which subreddits

1:42to monitor for targeted outbound and we

1:44don't know how to set up the kind of

1:46intricacies of this. So I'm going to

1:47break this down over the next 5 minutes

1:49so you have everything that you need.

1:51The first thing that we're going to say

1:52is go ahead and monitor anytime anyone

1:56is posting on Reddit for social signals

1:59and marketing or sales or GTM over the

2:03last month, max 100 results. I want it

2:05to be daily for me. Probably should have

2:07specified Triggerfyre there, but let's

2:08see if it knows to use the MCP. So,

2:11there we go. It's gone ahead and done

2:13that. The next thing that we want to do

Using Claude to discover high-signal subreddits from real data

2:14is we want to use this search result to

2:17go and find, okay, what are the most

2:20referenced subreddits? So, here we're

2:21going to ask it, go and fetch the

2:23results from the search that we just set

2:24up. Analyze all of the posts and let me

2:27know what are the top two subreddits

2:30that get the most amount of mentions in

2:32for me. So, the idea is we're going to

2:34use Claude to analyze the data coming in

2:37from Triggerfyre here. Okay, so it's

2:39just come back and it says it's analyzed

2:4141 posts. Here's the top two. But then,

2:43interestingly, it says these top two

2:45results are mostly low signal. It looks

2:47like self-promo personal subs. It thinks

2:50the first useful one is the B2B event

2:52marketing one and the B2B sales one

2:55shows up. So, what I was going to say

2:56now is, "Interesting. Let's go ahead and

2:59monitor these subreddits." And we're

3:02going to do this one here and this one

3:05here. And so now, just purely from that

3:07data, it's given us somewhere to look at

3:10because like a lot of the times we don't

3:11know which subreddits to go ahead and

3:13do, whereas now we have that capability

3:16to use initially the keyword search to

3:17get broad and then use the data to go a

3:20little bit more narrow. And then, of

3:21course, the more we let that initial

3:23search run, the more data set that we

3:24build, the better it's going to be. So,

3:26that's stage one, which is collecting

Adding subreddit monitors and narrowing the dataset

3:28the data. Stage two is, how do we go

3:30ahead and create the targeted outbound

3:33brand monitoring and kind of GEO SEO

3:35opportunity here? So, it's gone ahead

3:37and set up the searches for us. And so

Building brand mention monitoring with Slack alerts

3:38now we're going to say, "Okay, perfect.

3:40I want to go ahead and build out a

3:43couple of new things on Reddit and a

3:44workflow." Firstly, I want to monitor

3:46anytime the company name Triggerfyre is

3:49mentioned on Reddit, and then I want to

3:51build a workflow off the back of that

3:54and I want to use an agent. Let's use

3:56Opus 4.7 and I want to analyze if that

3:59post is talking positively or negatively

4:03specifically about the company

4:04TriggerFiy within it. If it is, I want

4:07to send a Slack notification through to

4:09our general channel in Slack. So now

4:11it's going to go ahead and build out

4:12this entire flow for us which is going

4:14to be epic. So we'll let that cook for a

4:16couple of seconds. Okay, perfect. So

4:17that took 15 seconds or so. But it's

4:19basically gone ahead and created the

4:21initial Reddit search monitoring our

4:22brand. And now we have a workflow that

4:26is taking the data from that search.

4:28It's using Anthropic Opus 4.7. It's

4:31analyzing whether it's positive,

4:32negative, neutral or not. It's created

4:34an if branch and then it's sending

4:35straight through to our TriggerFiy

4:37general Slack channel which is insanely

4:40cool, right? So this is the initial use

4:42case which is the one here and we can

4:45just mark that as done. So the next is

Targeted outbound workflow (finding intent, categorising, reaching out)

4:47the targeted outbound approach that we

4:49want to do. So let's go ahead and set

4:51that up as well. I now want to go ahead

4:52and set up a new system here. So I want

4:56to take the three searches that we have

4:58done which is the social signal search

5:01on Reddit and then also the subreddits

5:04that we have just started monitoring.

5:06And I want to feed both those three

5:08searches through into a workflow. In

5:11this workflow we're going to use an

5:13agent to analyze whether these posts

5:16that are getting posted on Reddit and

5:18these subreddits are relevant to

5:20TriggerFiy. So for example, they could

5:22be asking for help with go-to-market

5:24strategies. They could be asking for

5:26help or making a statement around intent

5:29data. They could be referencing tools

5:32like clay.com and other kind of similar

5:35data enrichment or sales or marketing

5:38tools. If they are, I then want to

5:41create a category which would be either

5:43there's high sales intent because

5:44they're asking questions. Maybe it's a

5:46statement and I could add value to that

5:49and then send these through to Slack as

5:51well along with the opportunity. So, if

5:53it's a kind of a commenting opportunity

5:55based on me adding value to that post or

5:57is a sales opportunity and then I want

5:59the link to the post so I can obviously

6:01reach out to the person and pitch my

6:03business. And obviously what then

6:04happens right from here is I obviously

6:06if there are opportunities I can go

6:07ahead and DM the individuals or I could

6:09comment on the post. You got to be a

6:10little bit careful on Reddit because

6:12they're massively against kind of

6:13self-promotion. Some subreddits are a

6:15little bit okay with it as long as

6:16you're providing value. So again, just

6:18kind of read the room a little bit there

6:19but DMs have been pretty popular and

6:20pretty well received when it's actually

The full system running inside Trigify

6:23highly targeted work. This is going to

6:25go ahead and cook away now for a minute

6:27or two but that means we will have

6:28everything built out. And if we were to

6:30go actually to the app here, we can see

6:32it's set up the subreddits, we've got

6:34the Triggerfyre search running. If I

6:35come to the workflow section here, we

6:37can actually see that it's gone ahead

6:39and created this for us without us

6:41having to do anything. Um and what's

6:43cool is it's no output yet because it's

6:45not run. But we don't even ever need to

6:46log in to Triggerfyre. In theory, I

6:47could come back into here and I could

6:49ask it to pull through the results or I

6:51could set up a daily cron that pulls

6:52through the results into here and

6:54produces it into maybe a Claude co-work

6:56artifact or something like that as well.

6:58And that is everything start to finish

6:59on how we can create an unbelievably

7:02good strategy around Reddit. The only

7:05thing here is that I was talking about

7:07the reason I said I want to let you know

7:09if it's a commenting opportunity. There

7:11I'm going to then try and obviously use

7:12it to reference Triggerfyre and create

7:14like a really good kind of geo-raised

7:16comment that's hopefully going to help

7:18Triggerfyre rank as well and not only

7:20just then provide authority in my

7:21profile on Reddit as well. And so yeah,

7:23if you want the video on how I'm using

7:25it to train agents like Hermes, I'm

7:27going to drop that in my YouTube so go

7:29ahead and subscribe over there. Peace

7:31out.
