1:10Beyond the Conclave, your number one
1:13podcast for everything maladiction.
1:16All right. I appreciate you guys showing
1:18up for round two, episode two of Beyond
1:22the Conclave. There wasn't an episode
1:24last week. What I plan to do with this
1:26show, it's going to be a weekly episodic
1:28show, but last week stuff happened,
1:31family, but also on top of that,
1:34the website. The website got a complete
1:37and utter overhaul. The website got
1:40features that everybody had been asking
1:42for, begging for, pushing for. And not
1:45only that, it got stuff that they didn't
1:46even know they wanted. But [laughter]
1:49for real though, I am the creator of
1:51deviant dicerollers.com.
1:54And I'd appreciate if you haven't
1:56checked it out, please go over there cuz
1:58last week that is the reason why there
1:59wasn't a show, not an episode uploaded,
2:03but I think that it was well worth it.
2:05We've got so many different features on
2:07there that all work intertwined with
2:10each other that just make it in my
2:13opinion, in my humble opinion, seriously
2:17the best site, best community site I've
2:21not only been had the privilege of
2:24creating, but also being a part of. I
2:28literally log into this site every
2:31single day and love seeing what others
2:34in the community have posted, what is
2:37going on, who's winning, who's losing.
2:39Don't pay attention to that record of
2:41five and eight. I'm going to get into
2:43that a little bit later on. I'm just
2:45going to say uh Karma is not a deck that
2:49just uh um just wins. You've got to work
2:52at it. You've got to work at it a lot.
2:55So, [laughter]
2:57that's that's all I got to say on that.
2:58But, like I said, we'll talk a little
3:00bit further on that. Last week, I really
3:02did want to do an episode because what
3:06happened was uh Loot Studios came out
3:09and gave us an unbelievable
3:12incursion episode that talked about the
3:15what's coming up with Mel Addiction,
3:18what the future holds, what we can look
3:21forward to with the timeline going
3:24forward.
3:25But even more so than that was [snorts]
3:28the reinforcement packs. And I didn't
3:30get to do an episode last week to go
3:33over the reinforcement packs. And that
3:35hurt me. That hurt me deep. I think the
3:37website was well worth it.
3:40But I I really did kind of hate the fact
3:43that we couldn't discuss it. So we will
3:45discuss it this week. So that's what you
3:47got to look forward to. Um going back to
3:49the site a little bit more. Uh, just

3:59We have a really cool So, this is Grock.
4:01If you're watching the video, Grock is
4:04our local tavern uh uh keep. He is the
4:06guy who who welcomes you to the site
4:10because the site isn't just about
4:12winning or losing. It's about having
4:15fun. I know that there's a lot of you
4:17out there and I appreciate all of you
4:19that men maxed that want to have the
4:22best cards and the best sequence and the
4:24best possibility to win cuz I mean we're
4:27playing to win, but also we're playing
4:30to have fun. I don't care, and this is
4:33going to sound completely stereotypical,
4:36but I don't care if I win or lose. as
4:38long as the battle, as long as the fight
4:40was worth it, as long as I had some
4:42laughs, and as long as with the
4:44community, I had can have a good time.
4:46So, that's what I try to make with
4:48Deviant Dice rollers. Um, coming over
4:52here, we've got, let me just go over
4:54here, uh, seek decks, which you can come
4:57in here, and one of the features I love
4:59about this site, the most victorious
5:02decks, the most fallen decks. again,
5:05who's who's doing the best, who's not
5:06doing so great. Um, we got some great
5:09decks up here by NSH, who's who's got an
5:13insane insane Volor deck. Uh, we've got
5:18Guardax, Johnny. Uh, stay away from all
5:20of his decks. He's ridiculous. Lyanna,
5:23who kills, that was mine. I tried my
5:26best. Still got some work to do. Uh
5:29going from there, we've got painted
5:31legions where you get to come in and
5:33Grock welcomes you into this lovely
5:36area. You get to come in and see what
5:38people are painting, h what their color
5:40scheme is, how they see it. Um [snorts]
5:44it's a really cool place to come to see
5:46everybody's creativity. Uh you know,
5:48they might have a different spin on a
5:50certain terrain or a certain mini. Uh, I
5:53love that NSH did this really cool kind
5:55of green uh take here and and and we get
6:00to also vote them up, give them
6:03comments, let them know, you know, hey,
6:05this is really really cool.
6:07But what I really want to go for is the
6:10tavern. Now, the tavern is where we get
6:12to meet and just like your local tavern,
6:15we get to meet and discuss and have good
6:17conversations, fun-filled conversations.
6:20Well, sometimes they get a little out of
6:22hand, but uh yeah, this is where you get
6:25to come to have those discussions to
6:27further it uh further the game a little
6:30bit more. Uh I have one posted here,
6:33noxious gardens, is it really relevant?
6:36So, this one I posted the comment that I
6:39have noticed that the flesh gardens
6:41terrain is the least utilized terrain I
6:44have seen.
6:46when players uh place this terrain out,
6:48it barely gets a chance to even be
6:50relevant in the game. So, I was going to
6:52try to work on creating a deck that
6:54really utilizes this terrain to its
6:55fullest. And I posed the question, have
6:58you seen it used properly or become a
7:00relevant part of a game? And if you
7:02have, with what seeker, cuz I was really
7:05concerned about what seekers are using
7:07this properly. I mean, I see all the
7:10other terrains. I see Starcast. I see uh
7:13the Dire Mall. I see these ones. uh
7:16being utilized a lot more and frequently
7:20than the flesh guard gardens. So, it's a
7:24good question to ask. Uh another great
7:26aspect of the site is the warboard. Uh
7:30coming here and just seeing who's going
7:33against who, who's got the most wins,
7:36finding a battle, finding out where the
7:39games are in your area. All right, what
7:42time? How many people are they looking
7:44to come up there and saying whether or
7:45not you'll be there? The campaign
7:48calendar. This is another staple that I
7:52can't believe I haven't seen on a lot
7:54more sites. I mean, I've seen them, but
7:56not implemented in this way.
7:59It tells you exactly what's going on
8:00today, tomorrow, the rest of the month.
8:03Really, really ideal, but also allows
8:06you to request to join. All right. add
8:10to your calendar, share it, make a
8:12comment on the on it. All right, it's
8:15all about that interaction about
8:17allowing you to be a part of developing
8:20the website on your end. Uh, one other
8:24thing that we have, it's not going to
8:25show up real well right here, but is a
8:28life counter. Now, the life counter lets
8:31you choose whether you're going to do a
8:32clash, allegiance, nemesis game,
8:36Dominion. All right, how many players,
8:39but it is a nice little added feature
8:41that on your phone you can bring up this
8:44and know your echo mastery. The other
8:47thing that I like is that it has the
8:48other person's player two echo and
8:51mastery. So, you're not bending your
8:53neck stretching over the table to see
8:56what the other person has. That is not
8:58necessary.
9:00Uh I I mean it's got so much more uh to
9:04it. So I would tell you please go over
9:07uh register. It is free to register

9:31All right, so now that I've let you know
9:33of all the great happenings
9:37on the site and in our community, let's
9:39get back to what's going on in the game,
9:42which is all of these exciting I mean,
9:45when I say exciting, that is not an
9:48understatement. The reinforcement packs.
9:50All right. So, the reinforcement packs,
9:52as Loot has put out, these are not
9:55booster packs. These are not packs where
9:57you're going to buy a booster pack and
9:58you're not going to know if the cards
10:00fit into your deck or not. No, these are
10:03going to be preackaged cards that you
10:06know exactly what's in there. So, what
10:08you need, you're going to buy. When you
10:10open up the pack, you're going to know
10:11what's inside. All right. This is all
10:14getting released on, if you don't know,
10:16August 26th.
10:18And there's been some controversy online
10:20about which ones are more overpowered,
10:24which ones should be a part of the game,
10:26which ones shouldn't be a part of the
10:28game. Um, it is, you know, just like
10:31with anything else, debatable.
10:34Debatable.
10:35Um, so let's get started. Uh, they've
10:38been rolling these out, so we're going
10:39to go in order of what they've been
10:40rolling out. In case you have been
10:42living under a rock and haven't heard
10:44about this, you're here now. So, let's
10:47get into it. Uh, Courtley Spectacle
10:51for the first one.
10:56Oh, excuse me. Got a little uh something
10:58a little something in my throat. Uh,
11:00anyway, horrific archery. Now, just off
11:04the bat, the artwork for this is insane
11:06where the guy's arm comes out and splits
11:08into three, creating his bow that he can
11:12shoot his enemies down with. Uh,
11:14horrific archery
11:16is a part of the fallen legion and this
11:20card is a spell, a channel spell that
11:23deals two damage to a unit. During this
11:25activation, it gets plus six. So,
11:29basically, you got a card out there. All
11:31right, you don't you don't know what to
11:34do. He doesn't really have range, but
11:35you don't want to run up in there. Or
11:37maybe he has range and you need that
11:38little extra. All right, this card is
11:41not only going to allow you to get those
11:43six extra inches, which I mean we could
11:47all use sometimes, but it's also going
11:49to let you deal two damage to a unit for
11:51a cost two. Two for two plus six. Come
11:54on,
11:56that is insane.
11:58That is great. Soul mimicry.
12:02This one shows an image
12:05of uh what is his name? The bald guy.
12:07I'm just going to call him the bald guy
12:08cuz yo, you're going to learn during
12:10this show. I am not like one of those
12:12guys that's going to rattle off every
12:14name of every card and know every single
12:17uh ability. I am not that guy. I know a
12:21few. I could name them. They're in the
12:23community, but I'm not. So, it shows the
12:26image of him, but it also goes into soul
12:28mimicry. So, this is another one. Fallen
12:31Legion spell channel. Choose an ally
12:35until the end of the activation. It has
12:38the abilities of another ally within six
12:40inches instead of its own that could be
12:43paired up with the right units.
12:47Uh that could be insane.
12:50Really insane. Legion of the Fallen, by
12:53the way. I caught myself. [snorts]
12:56Legion of the fall. It doesn't matter.
12:57You can say frontwards, backwards.
13:00It's all okay. Choice of choice of my
13:04lady. My lady.
13:07Um, choose. This is another spell
13:10channel for Legion of the Fallen. Uh,
13:14choose a refreshed non-seeker enemy. Its
13:17owner may exhaust that enemy. If they
13:19don't, draw three cards. I like this. I
13:23like when you give the other player a
13:25choice. All right. I like that. So,
13:28choose a refresh non-seeker enemy. its
13:31owner may exhaust it. So they can
13:32exhaust it. They lose that unit for that
13:35round. They can exhaust it, but if they
13:38do, you're gonna draw. If they don't,
13:40you're going to draw three cards. Simple
13:42as that. I like it. So that is the
13:45Courtly Spectacle.
13:47Some amazing cards right there. So let's
13:50go on to the next pack that they
13:52released. Which one is it? Here we go.
13:55Oh, this was this was pretty
13:58spectacular.
14:00So, this one is
14:03uh Beastial Advantage.
14:06I believe these are only a couple of
14:08cards from each of them. So, first we
14:10got the Raptor's Lift. During this
14:12activation, an ally gets plus three
14:14speed
14:16and gains [clears throat] flying.
14:18Gaining flying in this game is
14:21tremendous. I love it. It's part of my
14:24Karma deck to have a lot of flyers in
14:27there.
14:28I love the artwork on this. Uh, who is
14:31this? Le I can't even say that name. La
14:35Leon Susa. I love that they put the
14:38artist name. Uh, for cost one though to
14:40get plus three. Huge.
14:43All right, let's go over here to land
14:44shift spell. It's a swift spell, not a
14:47channel. As a player declares the first
14:50player to uh activate a unit on the
14:53round, choose a husk. Place that husk
14:56anywhere within six inches of its
14:59current position, ignoring obstacles.
15:02This is something we haven't seen
15:03before. The ability to al alter where a
15:06husk is on the playing field. Again,
15:11huge, huge thing to be able to do. And I
15:14love the artwork.
15:16And finally, oh, I'm gonna try this one.
15:19You try it with me. Yamiran rage.
15:23It's a channel spell.
15:25Deal five damage to your unit. Return
15:28any of its equipment relics to the
15:30bottom of the relic deck. If you do,
15:32that unit claims it and equips a relic
15:35from the top of the relic deck.
15:40I like it. It's five damage for only
15:42three cost.
15:44You're still giving them a relic, but
15:46it's a randomized relic. I don't know. I
15:49don't know if I would I I would play
15:50that one. that that is going to be
15:53debatable as to whether or not that one
15:55is going to be uh utilized in my deck. I
16:00mean, I know a lot of you are probably
16:02hearing that one and going, I know
16:04exactly where I'm going to utilize that,
16:07but me, me,
16:11maybe you know something I don't.
16:14Never said I was great at the game. your
16:17brain might be on a different male
16:19addiction level. All right? And if it
16:22is, please let me know. Give me the tips
16:25that you have in your head. All right.
16:28Let's go over to the next one, which is
16:33uh hands of the church.
16:36All right. Twisted charity.
16:39Choose a non-seeker refreshed unit. It
16:42recovers health until its health is
16:44equal to its health. It if it recovers
16:48five or more health this way, exhaust
16:51that unit. Ooh.
16:54So you you're going to you're going to
16:56get
16:58a good amount of health, but you're
17:00exhausting it. [snorts]
17:04Now, I don't know if you play that
17:05against your own or possibly you're
17:07saying to the that could be a good
17:09strategy. you you heal up your enemy,
17:13but you're also refresh uh exhausting
17:15them. That could play into some uh some
17:18decks.
17:20All right, demand confession spell
17:24channel spell in case you're wondering.
17:26Reveal a card from your hand. If you do,
17:29an opponent may reveal may reveal a card
17:31of the same cost from their hand. If
17:34they don't, look at the opponent's hand
17:36and choose a card for them to discard.
17:40This one was a little bit of a
17:43[sighs]
17:44lyrical soup.
17:47I just didn't understand what it was
17:49saying. It took Johnny [clears throat]
17:50from the community to give me the
17:52understanding and the the knowledge of
17:54what this was trying to say. So, it's
17:56saying that I say to you, uh, I'm
18:00revealing this card. you have to reveal
18:03a card of the same cost. So if I know
18:05you have lowc cost cards, but I have a
18:07cost seven and I reveal a cost seven.
18:09Now you got to see that cost seven, but
18:11I know that you don't have a cost seven,
18:14which enables me to see your hand and
18:16then I'm going to tell you to discard.
18:18Now, if you do have a cost seven, that
18:20gives us both
18:22a little bit of an advantage. You saw
18:24mine. Remember, I chose mine. You're ch
18:28You didn't get to choose yours. You're
18:29showing me yours. So, for me, when I
18:32play this, the card I'm showing you is
18:33probably one that I'm like, he can know
18:36this one. Really, really cool, though.
18:39Love the art. Again, the art of Mel

19:02them. An opponent resolves the remaining
19:04effects. So you got the three effects
19:06are draw two cards, refresh an ally, or
19:10gain five echo. So you're choosing the
19:12two. So say I say to myself, I want the
19:15two cards and I want the five echo
19:18[snorts] while my opponent gets to
19:20refresh an ally. But if all of them are
19:23already refreshed, if I play this in the
19:25beginning, he doesn't get to do
19:27anything. Very very good. Cost five. I'm
19:31down with it for the order. Absolutely.

20:29You're going to be playing Conclave of
20:31the Spheres. So, everything I just said,
20:34a Fugazi. All right. Cuz we've got the
20:37Leestrom Research cards.
20:41That really make a difference. All
20:44right. So, this one is a cost two for
20:46Order of the Shattered Throne. Order of
20:48the Shadow Throne. See, you guys screwed
20:50me up. I'm going to blame you guys for
20:51that one. I'm going to blame you guys.
20:54I feel like your energy told me to do
20:56that. Conclave of the Spheres. Spell
21:00channel. Discard the top two cards of
21:02your deck. You may return a basic or
21:05elite non-unit card from your discard
21:07pile to your hand.
21:10Oh. Oh.
21:13Top two cards of your deck, though. So,
21:15you're you're pegging two cards
21:19to return a basic or elite not unit. So
21:22basic or elite spell of some kind to
21:24your hand.
21:27It depends if that spell can cast a uh
21:32killing blow especially to a seeker.
21:36That could be monumental.
21:38Crackling trap. I like this. See see
21:43conclave of the spheres. They don't give
21:45you some names you can't freaking
21:46pronounce. All right. They're
21:49straightforward.
21:50Simple
21:54a cost four spell channel. Uh, choose a
21:57husk. Deal four damage to any number of
21:59units within 3 in of the husk. I like
22:03this so many times and I've seen them in
22:06the community on the maladiction
22:07discord. So many times you have a group
22:10of players literally
22:13huddled around a husk.
22:16This could could could definitely make
22:18the difference there. and and kind of
22:21give him a little shock for doing that.
22:25And then we got this this one, Leestrom
22:28Decimation, which was I think the first
22:31card I saw
22:33uh from the reinforcement packs. Deal X
22:38damage to an enemy. If X is six or
22:41greater, deal X plus two. Come on.
22:47Got to have that dice rolling game on
22:49point. But if you do
22:52that X, it's going to give you plus two.
22:55That is a great spell. I will be
22:57utilizing that a lot.
23:01I mean, that that right there screams
23:05everything. And those are the release
23:07cards so far. Um, I do I can tell you
23:10this as of uh August 2nd, 2026.
23:15I am, if you didn't know this, I am a
23:18true herald. So, I go out there. That's
23:20how I got this nifty hat if you're
23:22watching the video. If you're not, it's
23:23a black hat with the Mel Addiction logo
23:25on it. But anyway, that's how I got this
23:27uh nifty hat. And they sent out the True
23:30Heralds just this week. Uh some extra
23:34special cards that they haven't released
23:35to anybody.
23:37Nobody. The only way you're going to see
23:39them is if you meet up with me in

24:46uh, Gen Con is going on where a lot of
24:49people are, uh, going there getting to
24:52see the minis, uh, that are part of the,
24:56uh, reinforcement packs, getting to buy
24:59some great stuff. And if you did show
25:02up, I know today is the last day for uh,
25:06Gen Con. I'm going to try and find Where
25:08is this at? There we go. I'm going to
25:10give this uh site a shout out because
25:13they produce some great accessories,
25:17officially licensed accessories. Uh
25:19people at Gen Con get to buy these at
25:21the booth. But uh
25:25this is uh how do you say the name
25:27again? Uh the site, let me get Admiral

25:34beautifully created uh accessories to
25:38bring home to your battlefield of male
25:41addiction inclus including inclusing
25:44including conclave of the spheres echo
25:47and mastery tracker. Uh this thing is
25:50amazing. I didn't even know it was going
25:52to be um magnetic. They have the generic
25:56one if you just want to get the generic.
25:58They've got rulers. And let me tell you
26:01about these rulers for everybody out
26:03there cuz I know that this has been an
26:04issue for you. These rulers, these 6 in
26:08and 12in rulers, guess what? They're one
26:11inch by 1 in. I know that that is a huge
26:15bonus to a lot of you because finding
26:18out if you're one inch away, if you're
26:21uh contested or not from another unit is
26:24a huge benefit, a huge bonus. Um, they
26:29also have other trackers including the
26:32round counter and the uh the uh damage
26:36counter. But here is what I've been
26:38waiting for for the longest time, which
26:42is the um damage count acrylic damage
26:46counters.
26:48These are amazing because one side is
26:50going to be one, one side is going to be
26:51five. It makes it very simple to keep
26:53track of your damage. I've seen a lot of
26:56people out there with different ways to
26:57keep track of their damage. Something
26:59about a physical token in your hand for
27:03me uh is way better than anything out
27:06there that you're going to get on Etsy.
27:07Even though Etsy is amazing, it's way
27:09better than anything you're going to
27:10get. All right, that's what I'm going to
27:14tell you. Now, now I would like to get
27:17into some deck talk. I said deck talk.
27:21Uh,
27:22let me find mine on the site.
27:26Where is it at? Lyanna Who Kills. So,
27:30Lyanna Who Kills is my my uh seeker deck
27:35that I've been playing Pollenor now
27:37since literally I started playing, which
27:40I started playing pre-release. All
27:42right. And Polynor has been my deck and
27:45and I'm not changing. Polor is my number
27:48one deck. But I decided, let me have a
27:52secondary one. Let me change it up. Who
27:54do I want to go for? And I honestly
27:56chose uh car K caramach and Lyanna who
28:00dreams simply because they're alt
28:04terrain.
28:06Amazing. And wait, you know what? As I'm
28:09saying that, let me show you in the
28:12collection.
28:14And again, if you're listening this to
28:16the podcast version uh audio, just go
28:19ahead and uh boot up the site later on
28:23so you could see the visuals. So, here
28:25is my my alt terrain for Karma.
28:31And I I I was very personally proud of
28:35how great I did with this. And that's
28:37literally the only reason I wanted to
28:39create a Carbon Mock deck. But also, I
28:43don't see a lot of the meatball out
28:45there, so decided to try it. Uh, the
28:49Carmat deck, I'm rocking 31 out of 50
28:52cards. And I'm rocking a whole lot of
28:55flying to keep me on that terrain, that
28:57flesh gardens terrain. I've got a lot of
28:59movement cards to try and move you into
29:02the flesh gardens. Uh, the one thing I
29:04am lacking here, and please come to the
29:07site. They have comments. Give me your
29:10advice, give me your thoughts, or just
29:11tell me, "Hey, your deck sucks." Um, I
29:14need to change it up. I need to get in
29:16some spells that'll utilize Karma's
29:20uh
29:22uh mystic reverberation.
29:25All right. The mystic rever
29:27reverberation. Jesus. For Karmach. While
29:30this unit is exhausted, whenever you
29:32resolve a basic or elite spell that
29:34affects this unit, you may repeat it.
29:36repeat its effects on another unit
29:39within six inches. And I try to keep my
29:41units with this deck pretty darn close
29:44together.
29:46So having that that ability will really
29:50I think beef it up. But also, if you've
29:53got a Karma deck and you think it trumps
29:58mine, first off, please give me your
30:01advice.
30:02Second off, go over to the site, put it
30:04up there, and give us uh the ability to
30:07see what you've got going on. Make some
30:10comments, give you a star rating. If you
30:12notice, there is no star rating for my
