The Midweek Update - THEY LIED ABOUT IT ALL: Bessent's Yen Moves Just Proved Them All Wrong - August 5, 2026

0:00Last Sunday, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

0:02destroyed CNN's Dana Bash on live TV.

0:07Here it is.

0:08>> Let me ask you something. Do you see

0:10your job

0:11as ending vaccine hesitancy, or do you

0:14see your job as telling the truth to the

0:16American people?

0:17>> I see my job as telling the truth, and

0:19the truth is that there is is study

0:23after study after study. It's one of the

0:24most studied things out there in

0:26science, and it is

0:29>> You repeat things like a parrot.

0:31>> So, you don't

0:32>> I've actually read the science. Let's

0:33you and I

0:34come back here and debate this.

0:36>> So, you I don't I'm not debating this

0:37with you.

0:38>> Of course you won't.

0:39>> No, because I'm not debating it.

0:40>> how to do is repeat things that people

0:43told you and say trust the experts.

0:45That's what you did during COVID.

0:47Now we know that Anthony Fauci, who was

0:49the expert, was lying about everything.

0:53>> But it's a much bigger issue than the

0:54COVID lies. The entire chattering class,

0:58including your social media doom

1:00scrollers, are lying about everything

1:03the president is doing. For starters,

1:06rebuilding the US economy required both

1:09the war in the Middle East and Scott

1:11Bessent's current intervention for Japan

1:14over the weekend. The media is just too

1:17stupid to tell you why. I'm Baba Boyed,

1:19and I've studied the modern British

1:21financial empire ever since it forced

1:23Richard Nixon to destroy the Bretton

1:26Woods system in 1971.

1:28Today we're going to cover what the war

1:31with Iran is about. Then we'll show how

1:34Scott Bessent's weekend Japan

1:36intervention is part of the very same

1:38project. Finally, we'll talk about why

1:41they're both necessary for the new Trump

1:43economy, which is not socialist or

1:46communist, but it's also not the kind of

1:49capitalism we've all experienced in our

1:51lifetimes. Now, the current Middle East

The War in the Middle East Hits the City of London Hardest

1:54war isn't a war of choice, as Tucker

1:57Carlson and the stupid Democrats

1:59endlessly proclaim. Trump knew from his

2:02first term that America isn't some

2:05self-contained island free to make our

2:08own isolated choices at this point in

2:10time.

2:11Critical finance, credit, materials, and

2:15productive capacity are owned, sit in

2:17foreign hands and foreign lands,

2:20particularly the offshore financial

2:22network of the city of London. Here's

2:24part of the history.

2:26In 1973,

2:27responding to that year's oil shock,

2:30Nelson Rockefeller convened a commission

2:33of our elites and experts called the

2:36Commission on Critical Choices. He

2:38feared like OPEC, underdeveloped nations

2:41would cartelize or nationalize the

2:44critical minerals and energy resources

2:47necessary for our advanced economy.

2:50Rockefeller's answer echoed that of

2:52Thomas Malthus. Population and economic

2:56growth must be strictly controlled,

2:59reduced to zero if possible.

3:02The main tool chosen for this was mass

3:04indoctrination and the new religion

3:08of environmentalism. They also built a

3:10new financial system at the same time

3:12centered in Wall Street and the city of

3:14London where oil and gas commodity

3:17speculation replaced gold and physical

3:21production in pricing the dollar. Under

3:24Joe Biden, this environmentalist

3:26religion was so advanced that we banned

3:29oil and gas production.

3:31And discussions were underway to hand

3:34our economic sovereignty totally to a

3:36global consortium of central banks

3:39centered in Marconi's Bank of England.

3:42Under Biden, the climate apocalypse hoax

3:44was used to justify funneling all the

3:47financial credit in the entire world

3:50into green energy and nothing else.

3:53These myths drove inflation and piled

3:56more debt onto the national balance

3:59sheet.

3:59That's the economy Donald Trump

4:01inherited.

4:03He probably began rebuilding an economy

4:05centered on physical production,

4:07manufacturing, and new industry. But he

4:10couldn't finish without regaining

4:12sovereignty over credit and finance.

4:15That means overthrowing the old system

4:17and replacing it. Now, the obvious weak

4:20point in the old system is the money

4:23flows from Middle East oil production.

4:26Just look at how closing the Strait of

4:28Hormuz upended entire parts of the world

4:31economy. The City of London itself

4:34depends on Gulf investment for survival.

4:37That's why London, through its colony

4:39Oman, has been pressing a plan for

4:41voluntary tolls in the strait.

4:44Complicating the issue and prolonging

4:46the war. But overall, because of the

4:49war's dynamics and the president's order

4:51of peace for the Middle East, the

4:53region's nations are making massive

4:55investments now in the United States.

4:58They are abandoning the old globalist

5:00oil and terror regime sponsored by the

5:02City of London. President Trump wants

5:05the region to deliberate its own fate

5:07through the Abraham Accords, peace

5:09through economic development, not

5:12permanent religious wars. Iran and its

5:15terrorist proxies stand in the way of

5:17that.

5:18And under Trump's order of peace, the

5:20region's nations get a vote on any US

5:23military action.

5:25Otherwise, we create dependencies, mass

5:28migration, and we're stuck there.

5:30We want a permanent peace so we can

5:32leave militarily. But we also aim to

5:35become a significant trading and

5:37development partner in a new Middle East

5:39composed of sovereign nations, not

5:42terrorist gangs.

5:44That's why the Trump administration is

5:45talking about selling nuclear reactors

5:48now to the Saudis. None of this is what

5:50you'll hear from Dana Bash, Tucker

5:52Carlson, or Lumer, or the neocons

5:55saying, "Bomb them into oblivion." You

Stabilizing Japan Also Screws the City of London

6:04Now, stabilizing Japan also screws the

6:06city of London. Over the weekend, Scott

6:09Bessent intervened to buttress Japan's

6:11currency, the yen.

6:13Our friend Tom Luongo imagined this

6:15exchange between Trump and Bessent about

6:17the move. Scott, you're the money guy.

6:20You got anything on Europe? They've been

6:22screwing us for years. Bessent,

6:24"Actually, yes, sir. Japan, they've been

6:27Europe's pawn for decades, manipulating

6:30the yen to rig dollar rates in their

6:31favor. Support them out of their debt

6:34trap and we both win." Trump, "Can you

6:37make that happen?"

6:38Bessent, "Yes, I'm the guy who helped

6:41destroy the UK and gift-wrapped them for

6:43the EU. I'm just running the other trade

6:46now for Japan."

6:48Trump, "That's why I hired that guy."

6:50Tom's closing line back to the UK is on

6:54purpose. In 1992, Scott Bessent, then

6:57working for George Soros, used his

6:59knowledge of the speculative post-1971

7:02economy to collapse the British pound

7:05and force British entry into the EU.

7:08Now, he's doing the reverse with the

7:10yen. The carry trade is a debt bomb at

7:13the center of global finance, a choke

7:16point as volatile and dangerous as the

7:18IOGC and the Strait of Hormuz. To

7:21stabilize it this time, Bessent sold

7:24euros, not dollars.

7:27That landed a big blow on the currency

7:29of America's biggest real enemies, the

7:32UK and the EU. The carry trade is a

7:35textbook product of the speculative

7:37economy that rose after 1971.

7:41After Japan's crash in the 1990s, Japan

7:44held rates near zero and global

7:47speculators borrowed yen for almost

7:49nothing. They used that to invest in US

7:52stocks and bonds, which paid something,

7:55and they pocketed the spread. But that

7:57only works when the yen stays weak.

8:00Raise rates and everyone who borrowed

8:03rushes to buy yen back, crashing markets

8:06fast. That's exactly what happened in

8:08August of 2024, when this same unwind

8:12wiped billions off global markets in

8:14days.

8:16So, Japan, a major partner in Trump's

8:19new economy, is stuck. Keep rates low

8:22and the yen keeps collapsing, hurting

8:24ordinary Japanese through inflation.

8:27Raise rates and risk a global fire sale

8:30that hits us, too, since much of that

8:33borrowed money sits in US Treasury

8:35bonds. Rather than wait for that

8:38breakdown, which would come, Bessen got

8:40ahead of it, using this intervention

8:43alongside squeezing Iran's regime out of

8:46the financial system to reset the rules

8:49of the monetary system before someone

8:52else does it under crisis conditions for

8:54the worse.

8:55Canadian strategist James Thorne says

8:58Scott Bessen is setting up a new Bretton

9:01Woods, the kind of stable, long-term,

9:04low-interest monetary system real

9:07economic development requires. I think

9:10he's right. Now, about the economy.

The Key Ingredients for America’s Economic Revolution

9:13President Ronald Reagan's pursuit of a

9:16defense against nuclear war using

9:18advanced physical principles like lasers

9:22collapsed the Soviet economy.

9:25Why?

9:26Under communism, the backward Soviet

9:28labor force was incapable of rapidly

9:31producing the technology at scale, even

9:34if Soviet science invented it. Their new

9:37defense mobilization after Reagan

9:40announced the SDI, killed their economy.

9:43Post-war American capitalism, which

9:45outsourced our productive economy and

9:48shattered years of technological

9:50experience in our labor force, set the

9:53United States up for the same type of

9:55collapse.

9:57That is before Donald Trump. The rapid

10:00absorption and reproduction of new

10:02scientific discoveries and frontier

10:04technologies is the hallmark of the

10:06unique American system of political

10:08economy of Hamilton, Lincoln, and

10:11McKinley, and now Trump. Two things are

10:14required. One is ready access to

10:17long-term, low-interest capital

10:19investment. As important, you need

10:21scientific revolutionaries and a

10:24technologically trained and prosperous

10:27labor force. Breaking the hold of

10:29globalist finance on our economy and

10:32reshoring our industry creates the first

10:34condition. The Trump administration is

10:37now addressing the second. On July 21st,

10:40the Trump administration issued the

10:42program Science, A New Golden Age. In

10:45part four, the president's science

10:47advisor, Michael Kratsios, calls for a

10:49crash drive to upskill the labor force

10:52for our future. Here's what it says.

10:55First, stop separating the classroom

10:59from the shop floor. The plan forces

11:01colleges to build hands-on training and

11:04real work experience directly into STEM

11:07degrees. So, a welding certification or

11:10a lab apprenticeship counts just as much

11:13as a lecture course. Second, you don't

11:17need a PhD to matter in American

11:19science.

11:20The policy creates national fellowships

11:23to put machinists and technicians

11:25shoulder to shoulder with PhD

11:27researchers with credentials that travel

11:30with you, no matter where you work.

11:33Third, apprenticeships get a science and

11:35tech upgrade. Old-style apprenticeships

11:38expand into cutting-edge fields. Funding

11:42follows results instead of just

11:44enrollment. And community colleges

11:46become the regional engines of technical

11:49talent. Fourth, innovation requires

11:52neighbors. You don't get technological

11:55breakthroughs from research labs and

11:57factories sitting hundreds of miles

11:59apart. You get them when scientists and

12:01builders are working down the street

12:03from each other. So, the plan pushes for

12:06dense local clusters where both live

12:09side by side. Now, Abraham Lincoln's

12:12economist, Henry Carey, said that the

12:15American system of political economy,

12:17which Trump is using, represents a

12:19commonality of interest between capital

12:22and labor. That's because both capital

12:25and labor under that system recognize

12:28that the human mind

12:30is the source of all economic progress.

12:33And there are no limits to the growth it

12:36can invent and perfect. Both communism

12:39and the type of capitalism we touched

12:41since 1971 reject that principle.

12:45Under free trade capitalism, the cost of

12:47labor is something to be driven down to

12:49the lowest cost possible.

12:52That's why our production was

12:53outsourced.

12:55The media independents won't tell you

12:57this. They're either ignorant or corrupt

12:59and wedded to the old system.

13:02At Promethean Action, on the other hand,

13:04we recognize what Trump is doing, and

13:07we're dedicated to getting out very,

13:09very widely by any means possible.

13:12That means we need to grow.

13:14And we need you to help us to do that.

13:17Please contribute as much as you can.

13:19This has been your Wednesday update.
