0:11I won't dig into it. I'm curious if I

0:13yay or an is anyone actually monitoring

0:16their performance.

0:17>> Okay guys, so as you know if you follow

0:20my vlogs that is you may not. Couple of

0:23weeks ago, I went to London and filmed

0:25everything. And then I posted the vlog

0:27or I've just posted the vlog this week.

0:29And if you were following it, I had this

0:31little master plan of how I'm going to

0:32get an introduction to a VC company

0:34called Crew Capital and um Harry

0:38Stemings. Anyway, I kind of failed on

0:41most parts, but the vlog's going out

0:43live today and I'm going to actually tag

0:44Harry and everyone in it to see what

0:48level of interaction this basically gets

0:49us. And I don't know, maybe they might

0:52just suddenly message me and be like,

0:53"Okay, let's chat." Anyway, so this is

0:55the this is the message that I'm saying.

0:58Like this is why I won't read it all out

0:59cuz you can go get it. But the opening

1:01line, which I think is quite a cool

1:02hook, is Harry Stebings doesn't know

1:04this, but I've been calculating this

1:06master plan to get an intro to him.

1:08Here's how it unfolded. And then I

1:10basically go into describing like

1:12exactly everything that happened. And so

1:14if you don't know, this was the plan.

1:16And I'll read this little part out which

1:18I think is cool which was attend an EU

1:20tech tech leader summit dinner hosted by

1:22Crew Capital who have close ties with

1:25Harry. Gain an introduction to crew and

1:27Dylan Ryder who's the partner there.

1:29Plus get them to introduce me to Harry

1:31who is also attending the same AI summit

1:34the following day after this dinner. I

1:36kind of bottled that. I didn't really

1:37ask them in the end. I just felt too

1:39awkward. So that's my bad. I failed with

1:42this but started a relationship with

1:44crew which I did. Next step was to go to

1:46the AI summit and try and introduce

1:47myself cold. Sadly, I only saw him on

1:50stage and miss being able to chat with

1:52him. So, I didn't do it, but the AI

1:54summit was very good because we saw, you

1:56know, CEOs of lovable Uber and a load of

1:58others, Figma and everyone was there.

2:00But, we're going to see what level of

2:01reaction this basically gets us and all

2:04think forms part of this whole plan of

2:07this whole like launch that we're doing

2:08around social intelligence. And you know

2:11the thing is when you're building a

2:12social intelligence company, you've got

2:15to be transparent. You got to live on

2:17social. You got to go for it. And so why

2:20not?

2:21>> And it kind of started off with your

2:24application.

2:25Why are you going to join these bits?

2:27>> Hey guys. So if you follow me, you'll

2:28see that I go to the beach a lot. I do a

2:30lot of swimming. I think that I've taken

2:31you to the gym with me as well. I might

2:33have done that on a an old old episode.

2:35Anyway, what I'm doing is I'm basically

2:37training for an iron man is the

2:39attempted uh goal. We've got some

2:41smaller triathlons uh sprinkled in the

2:44middle. Anyway, I have been neglecting

2:47the bike part of the training for a long

2:49long time. I just haven't been on the

2:50bike for like the last 6 months. I've

2:52just been mainly doing running uh and

2:54swimming. I just dug out the bike.

2:57Okay, this is with the bike that we

3:00have. And as you can see, we're

3:03completely shot. the chain is completely

3:05shot. So, what I'm going to have to do

3:07cuz I need to start getting out on the

3:09bike to get some training in is I'm

3:10going to have to order a new bike chain,

3:12replace all of that. Um, and basically

3:15change it all. I've never done that

3:16before. So, that's going to be an

3:17interesting one. But, let me know. I

3:19don't know like with these vlogs whether

3:20I'm just strictly like work orientated

3:23or if I should sprinkle in some some

3:25other stuff like my side quests on

3:27triathlons. I know I was giving you an

3:28update on my veg patch at the start of

3:30this vlog series. Anyway, what do you

3:32want? Do you want content like that or

3:35do you want content like building

3:36trigger file or maybe a splash of both?

3:38And that's what I'm thinking. A bit of

3:39splash of both.

3:42[Music]

4:02So, it's one of those things when you

4:04run a small team, you you're trying to

4:07do so many things at once, right? And

4:08it's only inevitable that you're going

4:10to start to let things lack. So 6 months

4:13ago, I used to be incredibly fixated on

4:15product analytics, activation rates,

4:18usage, just generally how are people

4:21using product. And over the past like

4:23yeah maybe 2 months I've switched my

4:26focus and I've been way more sales, way

4:29more ironically CS focused, but not from

4:32that like analytical level and way more

4:35marketing focused. And I've let that

4:36side slip. And what I've realized over

4:38the past uh two weeks is our activation

4:41rates have actually deteriorated quite

4:43substantially. We've done some product

4:44updates to the trials and everything

4:47like that that has actually caused the

4:49activation rates to to plummet which is

4:51really interesting for a for a whole

4:53level of you know different magnitude of

4:55of reasons and we needed to make them.

4:57But I, you know, you lose sight. You're

5:00trying to do so many things and you

5:01spend so many plates that ultimately

5:03what happens is um things just fall

5:05short, right? And that's fine. That's

5:08natural because we're a team of five and

5:10these things will happen. Like we can't

5:12be everywhere. Anyway, so what I've been

5:14trying to do over the past couple of

5:16weeks is create a data pipeline system

5:19that will effectively alert me when

5:22things start to drop off so that I can

5:24then put my focus back to that. Now,

5:26it's not good. You'd rather be proactive

5:28than reactive, but at least I'm getting

5:30alerted and that's the key because then

5:31we can fix things. And so, one of the

5:33ones was I noticed that our actual, it

5:35sounds really basic, but our onboarding

5:36emails. So, when a user signs up sucked

5:39and so what I've basically done is I

5:42took my last 50 calls that I've done

5:45with, and this is the good thing is, you

5:46know, I've been spending the last 3

5:48months spending a lot more time with

5:49clients, listening to them. I use a call

5:51recording system called Fireflies.

5:54And all of these meetings has been

5:56recorded and transcribed. I've then

5:58created uh or I've not personally

6:00created it, but Fireflies has created a

6:02an MCP server which basically then

6:06allows an agent uh to effectively

6:09interact with all of this data. Um which

6:13is sick. And because it's it can

6:15interact with this uh agent essentially

6:19then or with the data I should say,

6:21sorry. I then be able to ask it

6:23questions like what is the most

6:24frequently asked questions? What do

6:26people actually care about? What are the

6:27pain points? What are the issues? And

6:30that's allowed me to create an

6:31unbelievably good onboarding email

6:34experience and hit people with stuff

6:36that actually matters rather than just

6:38making stuff up. So, I'm going to head

6:40back to the house and I'm going to dive

6:43into this a little bit more in a little

6:44bit more detail and exactly how I've

6:46done it, how I've used Claude, how I've

6:47used the actual email system. I've

6:49actually incorporated clay into this as

6:51well. And I'm going to break that down

6:52for you. But it's something to think

6:54about, isn't it? It's like if you're

6:55trying to keep streamlined, do you have

6:57a system to alert you if things are

6:59dropping off? Are you being proactive or

7:01reactive? And then how quickly can you

7:03respond to these things? And that's a

7:04lesson learned for me on this one. By

7:06the way, before I go back, I just

7:07thought I would get a bit more filming

7:09done. It's just like look how isolated

7:14I am and where I live. It's like it's

7:17crazily in the sticks and it's

7:19unbelievable to think that I thought I

7:20could live in New York. No wonder I

7:22hated it. Like look at this.

7:24Literally, as far as the eye can see,

7:27just fields,

7:30forests,

7:31and the sea is over there. That's the

7:34sea about 10 minutes that way. That's

7:35why I go surfing in the morning. Anyway,

7:38I'm going to send you up in the sky, and

7:40I'm going to show you some aerial shots

7:42right now. So, up we go. Heat.
