0:00Trump is launching an attack against the

0:03Labour government and Andy Burnham right

0:06now, this moment. He has been trying

0:09with everything in his bone to get NATO

0:12countries like us, like the United

0:13Kingdom, like other countries, like

0:15Germany and the Netherlands as well, to

0:17spend more on our military, to spend

0:19more on our own defense, because

0:20frankly, the American taxpayer has been

0:23subsidizing other NATO allies defense

0:25for decades and Trump doesn't like it.

0:28And that's a perfectly reasonable

0:30assertion to make. The American taxpayer

0:32should not be paying for the defense of

0:34Britain or France or Germany or Poland

0:36or any other country, but he's taken it

0:38further. After seeing how this Labour

0:41government are about to renege on their

0:42commitment to raise our GDP

0:45our defense spending in as a proportion

0:47of GDP up to 3% or he has launched an

0:50attack against us trying to force our

0:51own Labour government to reconsider and

0:54to adequately fund our armed forces.

0:56He is threatening to support Argentina's

0:59claim for the Falkland Islands, which if

1:01that happened, would be one of the most

1:03unpopular things imaginable for British

1:06voters. It would terrify the Labour

1:08government what they're seeing right

1:10here, because they don't really have an

1:11argument against this. They're sending

1:13away hundreds of billions of pounds

1:15every year to foreigners, to non-Brits

1:18in the form of NHS care or council

1:20housing that's given to them for free or

1:22even just outright money handed over to

1:24these foreigners, whether they're in our

1:26country or in foreign aid outside of our

1:29country either. We could be adequately

1:31funding our armed forces. Andy Burnham

1:33and this Labour government are making a

1:34conscious decision to not and that could

1:36end up us losing control of the Falkland

1:38Islands, which would destroy the Labour

1:40party forever.

2:13Trump is reviewing the United States'

2:15position on the Falkland Islands. The

2:17comments mark the first time a US

2:19president has ever publicly addressed

2:21the sovereignty of the Falkland Islands

2:23amid a defense spending row. Let's have

2:26a listen quickly

2:28to what Trump actually said.

2:32>> You're reviewing the US position on the

2:34Falkland Islands.

2:35>> I always review every position. That's

2:38just one of many.

2:40>> So, there we are. He is actively

2:41reviewing the position of the United

2:44States on who owns the Falkland Islands,

2:46threatening essentially to stop

2:48supporting us if we don't adequately

2:50defend ourselves.

2:52Donald Trump has said he is reviewing

2:54the United States' position on Britain's

2:56over the Falkland Islands amid a row

2:58over defense spending. Asked on Monday

3:00whether he was reviewing Washington's

3:01position on neutrality on the South

3:03Atlantic territory, he said, "I always

3:05review my position. That is just one of

3:07many." Last week, The Telegraph reported

3:09that the US could oppose Britain's claim

3:12to sovereignty over the islands as an

3:14incentive to try and force Andy

3:15Burnham's government to spend more on

3:17defense. The proposal was among measures

3:20being drawn up by senior defense

3:21officials at the Pentagon to incentivize

3:24Britain to hit NATO's target for members

3:26to spend 5% of GDP on defense. We're of

3:29course never going to hit 5% under a

3:31Labour or Conservative government. We're

3:32not even going to hit 3% under a Labour

3:35or Conservative government, which is the

3:37current scandal that we're sitting

3:38through.

3:40This is the first time Trump has

3:41publicly commented on the sovereignty of

3:43the Falklands, which is likely to cause

3:45alarm in Downing Street. He really drags

3:48his feet on the 3% defense spending

3:51target, not even close to that 5% that

3:53Trump is pushing for.

3:56He's refused to set out a timetable for

3:58raising defense spending to 3% of GDP by

4:012030, which essentially means it's never

4:03going to happen. In an interview with

4:05The Times, Mr. Healey said the

4:06government would set a clear target date

4:08for reaching 3% at the spending review,

4:10but didn't commit to achieving it by

4:122030, which means it's never going to

4:14happen. For the first time at that

4:16spending review, we will set out a clear

4:18path about how we will meet 20 uh 3.5%

4:21of GDP by 2035. Now, why is he talking

4:24about something in almost 10 years when

4:27he's in power now? And why is he talking

4:28about 3 and 1/2% when we're only asking

4:30for 3% right now? Well, he's not going

4:32to give us the 3% by 2030, and he knows

4:35full well the Labour government, they're

4:37never going to win another general

4:38election and end up in power until 2035,

4:41so they can set whatever commitments

4:42they want for 10 years in the future.

4:44They won't be there to deliver on them,

4:46which means this is essentially, in

4:47their mind at least, a

4:48get-out-of-jail-free card. Officials in

4:51Washington believe that whilst Britain

4:53has the potential to be a leading

4:55defense partner, the defense investment

4:57plan announced by Keir Starmer in June

4:59is not enough of a step in the right

5:01direction. Basically, it's too weak. A

5:04senior US official told The Telegraph

5:06that Britain was likely to receive

5:07special attention in Washington's review

5:09of its allies' commitment to NATO, which

5:11will examine whether member nations have

5:13credible path towards the target.

5:15Basically, they're going to analyze our

5:17entire economy and our entire government

5:19budget and hold our feet to the fire

5:22over the fact that our government

5:23refused to adequately defend our own

5:25armed forces. The US so far officially

5:28adopts a position of neutrality over who

5:30holds sovereignty over the Falklands,

5:32whilst recognizing the UK's

5:33administration of the islands.

5:35Argentina, of course, also lay claim to

5:37the Falklands, but that is something no

5:40Brit will ever willingly give up, unless

5:42of course that Brit is a member of the

5:44Labour Party.

5:46In a leaked memo, an internal Pentagon

5:49memo leaked in April first suggested the

5:51US may use a potential review of its

5:53Falklands stance as diplomatic leverage

5:56against Britain. Marco Rubio, the

5:58Secretary of State, played down the leak

6:00as a minor internal decision. However,

6:02the Telegraph understands the discussion

6:04about using the Falklands as leverage is

6:06still ongoing in the Pentagon, and it's

6:08clear that Donald Trump has been a part

6:10of those discussions as well, and he's

6:12on board at least with the idea of

6:13considering this as he just came out and

6:16said as such. A senior Pentagon official

6:18said last week, "I would expect the UK

6:20to receive special attention because it

6:21has so much potential. We will therefore

6:23continue efforts to incentivize and

6:25enable the UK to step up in a major

6:28way."

6:29Trump's administration is pushing NATO

6:30into what officials describe as a new

6:32era of the alliance dubbed NATO 3.0.

6:36This would require European countries

6:37and Canada to take take primary

6:40responsibility for the conventional

6:41defense of Europe, which is actually

6:43fair enough if we consider that the

6:46United States of America, they're going

6:47to take primary responsibility for the

6:50defense against China. I think the rest

6:52of Europe combined can afford to take on

6:55Russia if we need to, but of course, our

6:57governments are too bankrupt both

6:59economically, politically, and morally.

7:01They would much rather give migrants

7:04free money who come into our country

7:05than they would adequately defend our

7:07own armed forces.

7:09To achieve this, officials have drawn up

7:11incentives designed to strike anxiety

7:13into world leaders enough to force them

7:16to increase defense spending.

7:18The Pentagon's top policy official held

7:20talks with NATO allies in Brussels

7:22regarding the extent and speed of the US

7:24military withdrawal from Europe. He

7:26warned some member states had to move

7:28faster to replace weapon systems that

7:30had long been provided by Washington to

7:31keep Europe secure. During closed-door

7:33talks with NATO ambassadors, Mr. Colby

7:35warned that countries that were behind

7:37would continue feeling pressure from

7:39Washington to increase their military

7:41expenditure. That's the United Kingdom.

7:43That is referring directly to us.

7:46The threat to oppose Britain's

7:47sovereignty over the Falklands was

7:49seized upon by some senior Israelis,

7:51including Benjamin Netanyahu's son, on

7:53Friday. Yair Netanyahu, a 35-year-old

7:56podcast and political activist, posted

7:58on X, "The Falklands belong to

8:00Argentina" in Spanish. Now, this isn't

8:02exactly surprising. Israel and Argentina

8:05are extremely close because of Israel's

8:06large Argentine Jewish community and the

8:09leadership of Javier Milei, the

8:10staunchly pro-Israel president who's an

8:12ally of Mr. Trump and sits on the board

8:14of peace. Because of this, pro-Israeli

8:16Republicans in Washington have quietly

8:18argued for months that the US should

8:20rethink its position of neutrality,

8:22believing that Britain is becoming a

8:23less reliable ally. Mr. Burnham's

8:25increasingly punitive approach towards

8:27Israel, including a robust package of

8:29sanctions and a trade ban targeting

8:31Israeli settlements in the occupied West

8:32Bank, may lead Israel to push the

8:34Falklands issue harder in Washington.

8:37Now, my thoughts, my opinions on Israel

8:39and Palestine are basically irrelevant

8:41because that's my thoughts and opinions.

8:43I don't care. I do not care what Israel

8:46does. I do not care what Palestine or

8:48what Gaza does. It's not my business. I

8:50don't care what happens in that part of

8:52the world. However, it is worth stating

8:54that Israel isn't a real ally of the

8:56United Kingdom. Back in 1982, when

8:59Argentina invaded the Falkland Islands,

9:01Israel continued to sell weapons to the

9:04Argentinians so they could bomb our

9:06ships and kill British service service

9:08personnel. So, as far as I'm concerned,

9:10Israel are not an ally of the United

9:12Kingdom, and we should not care what

9:13they think or what they do, and no

9:15British service personnel should ever

9:17put their lives at risk for the sake of

9:19Israel. America, on the other hand,

9:21absolutely are a staunch and firm ally

9:23of the United Kingdom, and they are 100%

9:26right when they encourage us to

9:28adequately fund our armed forces. It has

9:30to be done, and it is nothing less than

9:32cowardice and treason from our

9:34government and our politicians that they

9:35refuse to adequately fund our armed

9:37forces.
