0:00hi everyone and welcome to the second
0:01part of the video where we will apply
0:04the final touches on our image so
0:07i'm just gonna jump straight into it and
0:10start with the vignetting effect so
0:12before we've added the box
0:14mask node
0:16to create the selection for our image
0:20waveform analysis whatever and now we
0:23are going to use the
0:25ellipse mask
0:27so it works exactly the same as the box
0:29one when i just drag and drop it to the
0:32connection here we get this
0:34ellipse
0:36let's increase it
0:39so i'm holding the shift key and
0:42pressing my left mouse button and then
0:44just dragging the value so it gives me
0:46more control with the shift key
0:49and yeah i'm just going to do something
0:51like this so
0:52more or less
0:54this will be the corners affected by the
0:56vignetting effect i can actually
0:59go
1:01to something like that even
1:05and now to
1:08readjust everything back to the normal
1:11look i'm going to add the color mix node
1:15plug in the the notes
1:18change to multiply
1:20so we get something like this
1:23now this obviously looks fake so i also
1:27have to add the blur node so it's under
1:30the filter blur
1:32i just leave the default values here and
1:34then just play around with the x and y
1:36values so
1:38i usually just type 250
1:42and we already have the vignetting
1:44effect but i would still like to be able
1:47to control its opacity so
1:50to do it
1:52we just need to add one more
1:55uh
1:56multiply node i mean the color mix node
2:00reconnect the original render input with
2:03the vignetting applied here
2:05change to mix
2:10and now just by changing the node
2:11alignment here and with the fact slider
2:14i'm able to change the opacity of the
2:18of the vignetting
2:20so what i like to do is just keeping it
2:23at
2:2435
2:26so it's
2:27it's still there but it's not that much
2:29in your face
2:30um
2:32sometimes it can go to 50 but i think
2:35it's a little bit too much for me so
2:3835 used to be a very good optimum in
2:41most of my projects
2:44after vignetting is done i'm adding the
2:47glare node
2:48so it's under the filter glare and when
2:52i just drag and drop it to the
2:54node link here you can see we get this
2:57funny effect so what i'm using as a
2:59glare is always the fog glow the easiest
3:02setting here which just gives me this uh
3:06good looking
3:07highlight brightness so so those bright
3:10areas look you know more realistic
3:13um what i'm doing here i'm using
3:16most probably i think just a mix value
3:19here
3:20and i always set it up to minus
3:230.5 as a starting point just to see how
3:25it looks like
3:27usually i decrease it to minus 75
3:31so the effect it's again not that much
3:34in your face and now by using this uh
3:36the size value and the quality here
3:39because when we change the quality to
3:41high
3:42the effect also gets tends to get a
3:45little bit less visible
3:47so now if i want to have more of this
3:49glow in my image i can just play around
3:52with the size
3:53but i usually try to keep it around
3:55seven
3:56so here on the lamps it's also not that
3:59much visible maybe that's a little bit
4:02yeah let's just keep it at eight
4:06and the final effect will be adding the
4:09distortion
4:11and it's called a lens distortion so
4:13when i just drag and drop it here
4:15nothing
4:16changes and i'm only changing the
4:18dispersion
4:20value here so if i just set it to 0.1
4:23the dispersion is
4:25way
4:26way way too high as you can see
4:31when i
4:32use the
4:330.01 value i still think it's a little
4:36bit too much
4:37it's maybe not that visible you don't
4:40have this chromatic aberration visible
4:42at the corners but i still think that
4:44the blur here is
4:45too high so what i normally use
4:48is either
4:49zero zero five or zero zero seven
4:54i think five is the the save value if
4:57you really want to have this chromatic
4:58aberration visible then just use zero
5:01zero seven
5:02but that's basically it for the image
5:05editing and now i also mentioned in the
5:07chapter 13 that i'm rarely using the
5:12render settings color management
5:15since i
5:16do most of my color correction
5:19using those two notes
5:21however
5:22what i try to or what i like to do as a
5:25final touch on my image
5:28is actually
5:29using this uh look
5:31settings here so you can see i already
5:33have it set up to high contrast
5:35by default it was the medium contrast so
5:38something like this so right now if i'm
5:40not happy with the image instead of
5:42going back to the color balance and and
5:45messing the things here
5:47where blender has to calculate all those
5:50extra notes so the update is very slow
5:53when i'm happy with the general look of
5:55my image i just go to the color
5:57management settings
5:58apply the medium contrast play with
6:01exposure if i have to decrease the gamma
6:04if i need to boost the contrast a little
6:07bit
6:08and that's it i'm
6:10i'm more
6:11more than happy so i'm using the color
6:14management settings as the last and
6:16final touch
6:17on this whole compositing post
6:20post production
6:22so i hope this um
6:24those two videos are helpful to you
6:27um i must really say for the animation
6:30workflow especially for architectural
6:33animation this is a huge time saver
6:37because instead of using external
6:38applications playing around with add-ons
6:42with different you know file formats
6:43here you just drop everything back to
6:46blender
6:47set it up within the clean blender file
6:49and it just works
6:52of course as i mentioned if you want to
6:54render a final animation
6:56uh you need to add the composite node
6:59here
7:00connect it to the final
7:04node of your setup
7:06and remember here within the output
7:09um
7:10use the file format for animation so i'm
7:13usually using using ffmpg
7:16then within the encoding
7:18just choose the correct file format
7:20which i guess it's mpeg4
7:23the output quality i usually use
7:25perceptually
7:27lossless because it's really like
7:29exactly what i see in blender plus the
7:32smaller file size and that's it
7:34you're ready to go with your animation
7:37please remember you can download this
7:39whole setup
7:41uh in the files section of this
7:44chapter of the course and play around
7:46with yourself i also included some extra
7:50uh
7:50xr files from my and recent animations
7:54so you can also try
7:57fine-tuning the colors within some other
8:00scenes that i've rendered thank you guys
