Introduction and the problem with social attribution
0:00Hello buddy.
0:02Manur Charlie.
0:05Hello everyone.
0:08Where is Hi. How are we all doing?
0:12We will give it uh a couple of minutes
0:15if that just to see who else uh wait for
0:19some some last people to join. We just
0:21put another little uh uh notification
0:24out there for everyone.
0:26It's uh me and Pers are based in the UK.
0:29Uh, so it's nice and late over here in
0:31the UK. We thought we would try and get
0:32one on more of a a US time zone. So, I'm
0:36excited for this one. The whole house
0:37has gone to bed here in in my uh in my
0:39property. So, got to keep it down to not
0:42wake the kids. Well, that's the thing.
0:44Let us know what you think the best
0:45times are because we, you know, having,
0:49you know, people use trigger fire from
0:50Europe and then from America, we never
0:53we never really know what the best time
0:55is. So, we're going to be trying sort of
0:56different times. And if you guys have a
0:58sort of preference, it' be interesting
0:59to hear.
1:02Yeah. What what's best for you?
1:05Nice. Yeah, it works for East Coast as
1:07well. Yeah, exactly.
1:10Cool. Well, let's uh let's start diving
1:12in. So, today we're going to go over um
Why granular post-level attribution matters for teams
1:15social attribution. And I think I'm
1:19personally like a big big fan of this
1:21one um for a few different reasons. Um
1:24but primarily because
1:27social attribution has been an
1:28incredible incredibly hard thing to do
1:31for a very very long time now. Of course
1:34you can get a level of social
1:37attribution. So you can you can
1:38understand the UTM path has come from um
1:43social media. It's come from LinkedIn or
1:45it's come from YouTube for example.
1:48But um the challenge is you you can
1:52never get actual granularity on that.
1:54And what I mean by that is what posts
1:58are actually driving um signups
2:03and from the team who is driving those
2:06signups as well. So there's two really
2:07interesting things there. It's like if I
2:09have a marketing team or a sales team 5
2:1210 20 30 50 doesn't matter how big they
2:14are. who is actually driving the most
2:16signups for my for my company is is a
2:18really interesting point as number one.
2:20And the second interesting point is what
2:22specific content is actually driving
2:25those signups. And the reason that's
2:27really interesting to know is one
2:29obviously it's great to know and
2:30understanding that revenue attribution
2:31to see what's working well and therefore
2:33you can technically reproduce more of
2:34it. But but in that reproduction of the
2:38posts that are driving the most amount
2:39of signups, that's where it gets really
2:41exciting to give that to some potential
2:43agents to really start to deconstruct
2:46why these posts are converting users at
2:49such a high level or at a decent level
2:52and the type of people that are
2:54converting as well. So, you know, job
2:56titles, demographics,
2:58um, all of these fun stuff as well to
Content strategy: conversion vs vanity metrics
3:00understand, okay, well, what levers do
3:02you need to pull from a content
3:04standpoint to actually have content that
3:07converts, not just content for content's
3:10sake? And I think that's a big
3:11difference. And maybe places, you know,
3:13maybe we're getting a little bit
3:14misconstrued with that in this day and
3:16age. people are doing a lot of different
3:17forms of content just to to make noise,
3:20but if that noise isn't actually driving
3:22any kind of bottom line ROI in some
3:25shape or form, then it's totally
3:27irrelevant and pointless and you're just
3:28trying to do it to become an influencer.
3:31an influencer and uh which you know
3:34maybe that's that's your thing but you
3:36know for us anyway with trigger fire is
3:38like we are wanting you know if if my
3:40LinkedIn for example didn't convert
3:42anyone I would never go on LinkedIn
3:47the same for YouTube you know it's funny
3:49I I build a social media company but you
3:52know there's nothing worse than just
3:53sitting on there on social media so you
3:55really do these things with like a
3:57reason to to do them not just because
4:00it's fun to to to post like we really
4:02want to get that attribution down and
4:05it's never been able to it was never
4:08been done before until um until recently
4:12right until like I feel like we've
4:14really started to to kind of break the
4:15mold with creating that level of social
4:17attribution. So what I want to do today
4:20is dive into it's going to get maybe a
4:23little technical. I'm just going to show
4:24you how I'm doing it and how I'm
4:26thinking about it. Before any of the
4:29questions come around, um just as a we
4:33will share recording. Um we will share
4:37the templates that I'm going to go over
4:39as well. Um we'll share everything
4:41basically that is discussed today. So
4:43you can kind of get started and do this.
4:46I'm I'm curious though for anyone who's
4:48in the room just I won't dig into it.
4:50I'm just curious by yay or nay. Is
4:53anyone actually monitoring um their
4:55performance of their socials? And if you
4:57are, are you monitoring how many people
5:00are signing up from it or are you just
5:01monitoring um okay, like the impressions
5:04and the performance of the post, which
5:06is also really important to understand
5:08that. Um I'm just curious, is anyone
5:10actually getting down to that
5:11granularity? Um or are you just like
5:14KM's posting and you know, if it
5:16converts it converts, but I don't really
5:17dig into it um that much. Got
5:20performance and reach there. Nice one.
5:23Performance and reach. Nice. Yeah,
5:25there's a great exercise that you can
5:27start to do which is like how many I've
5:32done it once um before and and again
5:35what we'll go over today is really
5:36really handy because
5:38um if you can understand
5:41uh Maria exactly how many people you
5:45have converted through your LinkedIn
5:46profile for example um it's then really
5:50interesting say okay over a month period
5:52I have converted 20 demos let's just say
5:54for argument sake from my LinkedIn
5:56account and I got um 20,000 impressions.
Reverse engineering social ROI with math
6:02I posted x amount of times. And what you
6:06can start to do is you can start to
6:07reverse engineer. The more data you get,
6:10the longer you do this, the more solid
6:12that data becomes. But you can
6:14essentially get it down to the point of
6:15being like, okay, well, for every 2,000
6:18worth of impressions, I get a demo. um
6:22and you can get it down and you can
6:23reverse engineer it just like everyone
6:25does with okay hey I need this number of
6:27MQLs to get this number of SQLs once you
6:30start tracking these things it's also
6:31just a case of mathematics at that point
6:33if you have enough data behind you to
6:35work out what is the average amount of
6:36impressions that you need to get to
6:38drive a potential sign up and you'll
6:41know the type of content as well that
6:42you need to do so um how does this all
6:47start well obviously it starts on
6:48LinkedIn right and and you posting on
6:50there but I And that's fairly obvious,
6:52so I don't need to touch on that. It
6:54starts with inside of Triggery. And what
6:57we're going to do here is we're
6:58basically going to set up monitoring
Setting up brand monitoring in Trigify
7:00your brand and your company. So you can
7:02see here I've created this thing called
7:04a group. Um, which is just a fancy word
7:07for a folder. Um, and inside of the
7:09folder, I'm basically tracking a few
7:11different profiles, uh, obviously
7:12myself, uh, included, but I'm actually
7:14tracking the entire company. So, um,
7:19we're tracking peers, we're tracking
7:21Hugo, we're tracking my CTO, we're
7:23track, uh, we're not tracking all the
7:24engineers because they don't all post,
7:26but we're tracking the people that post.
7:27Uh, basically, my performance and reach
7:29is not very good. You suck. Yeah, you're
7:31terrible. And I get very disappointed by
7:34you.
7:36Um, and although you did post the other
7:39day, so I was happy that you started
7:41posting, which is good. Um, so yeah. So,
7:45so, so what we what we do here is um
7:48we're starting to monitor your brand,
7:50right? Very very simple. I won't go into
7:51this too much, but simply just chuck the
7:53URL in and this URL will be the URL of
7:56your company. It will be the URL of um
7:58you know, your own personal profile.
8:00It'll be the URL of your your teammates
8:03profiles and it's going to start to sync
8:05and pull in all of these posts that you
8:07will uh have um and it will pull them
8:09through all of the engagement that
8:12you're getting, right? And the
8:13engagement is these are the likes and
8:16comments of um these particular posts
8:20that you're getting. Okay. Um so that's
8:24all basically coming into here. So
8:25that's like step number one. Why is this
8:28good? Well, aside from all the fun stuff
8:31which is like reaching out to these
8:32people for sales campaigns, blah blah
8:33blah blah. Um this is really handy
8:36because um we're getting that
8:38attribution. We're understanding okay
8:40well hey Joe blogs liked this particular
8:43post here um you know Joe blogs liked
8:46this particular post here and so we're
8:48really then understanding okay who is
8:50liking what particular post. So now the
8:52question is is can I take this data
8:57um and sync it to my CRM. Now my CRM is
CRM integration setup with webhooks
9:04ATIO um I don't know you know what CRM
9:08are in use inside the call today but um
9:11this this logic can work with HubSpot it
9:15can work with Salesforce. I mean it can
9:17work with any CRM. you would just have
9:18to preconfigure it to said CRM to make
9:22sure that it um works in the way that
9:24you want it to work. So, what I've done
9:26is I've gone ahead and I've actually
9:28used I've used NA10 for this out of
9:31curiosity.
9:33Anyone use NA10 inside of the call
9:35today? If you haven't, don't worry. We
9:36will also share these templates um so
9:39you can use them. Um
9:42yeah, user cool. All right, cool. Um,
9:46the cool thing is, uh, this is a side
9:48note is we are about to launch our own
9:50workflows, which is is more of an easy
9:53done for you version, uh, for NA10. So,
9:56everything that I'm about to show you in
9:58the next like 3 weeks or so, you're
10:00going to be able to do this via um, uh,
10:04trigger fire, which is really, really
10:06exciting. And more to come on that
10:08another time on another call. But for
10:10now, we're going to go back to the
10:12age-old trusted NATM, which is where I'm
10:14using to control my ATIO integration.
10:17So, all I'm doing is I'm basically going
10:19ahead and setting up an integration.
10:21Uh, and we're just using a web hook. Um,
10:24this web hook is basically firing
10:26through to this particular NA10 flow.
10:29I've actually got two different ones and
10:30I'll explain the two different concepts
10:32that I'm doing. But again, all of this
10:34can be mirrored inside of HubSpot,
10:35inside of Salesforce. It's just a
10:37question of creating your own custom
10:38objects and things like that. Um, so
10:42what we've done so far is we've gone
10:44ahead and we monitored our company and
10:46monitored different brands. Then we've
10:47come through to the web hook section,
10:49triggery. We're just connecting the
10:51accounts with the desired web hook URL
10:54um that you would get from Zapia, that
10:56you would get from make, that you would
10:58get from NA10. Um, very very simple. And
11:01again, this applies to make Zapia all
11:04those different ones. You just go add in
11:06your web hook URL into here, subscribe
11:09to the event, and then chuck it in
11:10there, and it's going to start to fire
11:11through into the uh kind of automations
11:15that you're building out. So, this is
11:17possible in making and Zapia, not just
11:19NA10, right? It is. Yeah, totally
11:21possible. And um what we can do is we'll
11:25build we're building templates for make
11:27for Zapia. Um, so if you are users of
11:30those ones rather than NA10, um, we're
11:33going to be sharing a template document
11:35that we're pulling together which has,
11:37you know, make, Zapia, NA10, Clay, all
11:40of these, um, there we go, trigger
11:44templates. That is a working document.
11:46I've only started building that today.
11:47So, keep an eye on that over the next
11:49couple of weeks as that's going to get
11:50fleshed out with all of these ones
11:52coming into it. So, okay, let's break
11:55this down. So, what is happening? Well,
11:57we're taking the data from um triggery
Creating custom LinkedIn objects in Attio CRM
12:00and we're sending this through high
12:01level. We're sending this through to
12:03Atio and we're sending it through in two
12:05different forms. I've got two different
12:07workflows and I'll explain what I'm
12:08doing for you now. So, if we go across
12:11to Atio, this stuff can be done um just
12:14so that you're aware via HubSpot via
12:17Salesforce as well. And if you don't
12:21know Atio, you've got um you should
12:23because it's a it's a very cool tool. I
12:24would encourage you to to look at it.
12:26Um, you have your records just like you
12:29have records inside of HubSpot and
12:32Salesforce. You've got your company,
12:34your people records, and then I've
12:36created two custom records. Um, and
12:39they're they're actually more objects, I
12:42should say. Um, and these objects are
12:45LinkedIn engagement and LinkedIn posts.
12:50So what I've done is I basically anytime
12:53that I post I am sending the data
12:57through to this LinkedIn post object. So
12:59this is my particular post here as you
LinkedIn posts and engagement tracking workflow
13:02can see um which is really nice. Um
13:05we're getting the post text itself the
13:07the URL and the posted at and then we're
13:09getting all of the engagement coming
13:11through. So how are we doing this? Well
13:13we're doing it through this workflow. So
13:15what happens is is we're sending in data
13:18through to Atio.
13:20We're initially checking to see if the
13:22post exists already inside of Atio
13:25because I don't want to duplicate it. If
13:27it doesn't, then I want to go ahead and
13:30add the social post um to uh Atio and
13:35then start to create the engagement.
13:38Now, if it already does exist, and the
13:40reason that I would still want to add
13:41engagement if it already does exist, um,
13:44is because just like, you know, you
13:46know, social media, you you do a
13:48LinkedIn post, you might still get
13:50engagement, you know, 3 days later, 4
13:52days later, and so I want to um
13:56attribute that engagement to the correct
13:58post rather than creating a new post
14:00itself. So, one of the really cool
14:02things about Attoio and and CRM that you
14:04can do, it's a little bit more complex
14:06with Salesforce and things like that
14:08though, is you can do a one to many
14:11relationship. So, what that basically
14:14means is inside of this field um you
14:17have this thing called LinkedIn
14:19engagements. Um and this LinkedIn
14:21engagement is a one to many uh
14:23relationship. So what that basically
14:25means is we have multiple people sitting
14:27inside of this particular column which
14:29is associated with this particular post.
14:32So if I go across to this LinkedIn
14:33engagement now I'm starting to see all
14:36of the people who are engaging with my
14:39content. So we've got, you know, since I
14:40set this up a thousand people pulling in
14:42here. I've got their comments, likes,
14:44all of that fun stuff. And I know the
14:46exact post that they have come from uh
14:49as well. So, this is really, really
14:51handy if I wanted to start to go in and
14:54have my team prospecting from this
14:55particular list, have them looking into
14:57particular things, have them checking
15:00things out, working out who's engaging,
15:02do we need to reach out to these people
15:03because they're from, you know, decent
15:05sized companies or whatever it is. And
15:07this is creating this kind of
15:08prospecting list without actually
15:10touching my two kind of main records,
15:13which are company and people records. um
15:16I do touch them in a different way which
15:18I'm going to go show you in a second.
15:19But here I'm harvesting everyone uh who
15:24is engaging with that who isn't ICP or
15:26maybe ICP. So I'm really just using it
15:29as a place to store data um right now um
15:33with with Atio. Um so this isn't really
15:37doing attribution. I would say this at
15:39the moment is more just okay I want to
15:41store and use this as a place for all of
15:44my team to actually go in and be able to
15:46do some prospecting from you know not
15:50just my engagement but like um the
15:51general company's engagement as a whole
15:54and that's coming from this particular
15:56workflow here which is data comes in
15:59from triggery we check to see if the
16:01post is an atio if it isn't we add that
16:03post which is um adding into here add
16:07the post initially
16:08And then we go and add the engagement
16:10which is associated to that particular
16:12post. If the post is already there, we
16:14then basically go and add the engagement
16:16as a followup. Sorry, a quick um quick
16:19couple questions there. I'll read them
16:21out because um they've been sent to
16:22hosted panelists, but Brandon asked, are
16:25you doing a text match to compare or are
16:27you using a different identifier?
16:30Uh with the post itself, um that is a
16:34good question. I am doing I'm doing the
16:38I'm doing the post itself, the URL of
16:42the um the URL of the post basically,
16:44Brandon. Um so the unique URL of the
16:47social post that I'm doing and uh Alli
16:51answer to your question, yes, you will
16:53get a recording of this. I'll uh look at
16:55getting it out tomorrow and sending it
16:57out on Slack and through Luma to you um
Building the revenue attribution workflow
17:01as well.
17:02Yeah, I appreciate this is like it's
17:04this is like if you if you've not done
17:06this stuff, it's a little bit technical,
17:07so you need to kind of watch it back.
17:08Um, but again, we'll share we'll share
17:11this content, we'll share these
17:12workflows um with you, everything like
17:14that, so you can uh mirror it and kind
17:16of go back through this in in your own
17:18time. Um, but you'll see here like the
17:20thing is with like the Atio um API, you
17:23can really start to update and you can
17:25create custom fields based on all of
17:27this data that you would want to to do
17:29as well, which is really really cool. So
17:32that's like phase number one which is
17:34just being like okay I want to create a
17:36place for my team to prospect from and I
17:38want to use atio because you can do this
17:40one to many relationship which is really
17:41really exciting and really really cool
17:43and the team can kind of come in here
17:45and use this understand the engagement
17:46type and then reach out.
17:49The next phase is then how do we
17:51actually start to get to some
17:52granularity around um revenue
17:55attribution. Well, start to the same
17:58principle, right, with with trigger
17:59fire, which is um simple simple simple
ICP filtering and lead qualification
18:01same thing that we've already gone over.
18:03So, start tracking your team. There's
18:04nothing changes with the triggery motion
18:06here. I'm just going to go the cool
18:08thing that I think anyway about us is um
18:11you can have multiple
18:14um web hook web hooks per individual.
18:17So, you can send this data wherever you
18:18want to multiple different tables.
18:19Whether you like, okay, I'm going to
18:20send this one to a clay table. I'm also
18:22going to send it to an NA10. So you can
18:24do like multiple things with different
18:26um like individuals.
18:28Um and what we're doing here if I come
18:31over to our people section
18:34just scroll over is I'm also updating
18:38um the actual users. So people who are
18:42coming on board and using triggery or
18:44have used triggery in the past. So this
18:46is more my actual live CRM. Whereas what
18:49we were looking at previously was my
18:51I've kind of created these custom two
18:53objects which actually don't have any
18:55associations with my deals with people
18:58with companies that what I would
19:00classify as like my live CRM. I more use
19:03this data as um kind of a storage place.
19:07And for those of you that are um
19:09wondering by the way atio is Atio's API
19:12is completely free and the tools
19:13completely free. So you can really just
19:15use it as a data warehouse as well.
19:16That's a little nerdy part of me which
19:18love this because I did all this without
19:19paying a thing with Atio which is pretty
19:21cool. Um,
19:24so now we're looking at it from a live
19:27CRM which is probably more of the
19:28typical use case to get the attribution.
19:30So what I want to to do is I want to
19:34understand if any of these people who
19:37are in my CRM have engaged with um my
19:41content. So you can see here what's
19:43really cool is we had had a customer
19:45engage with my uh content, commented on
19:48it. Here's the URL that they engaged
19:51with. So if I um start clicking on these
19:55people, I can actually see when they
19:59started to engage. Um I can see this
20:01timeline. So they've they've basically
20:03engaged back here. Um they engaged on 13
20:07days ago and then became a customer.
20:11When did they become a customer? Let's
20:13pull that out. Um, here we go.
20:17On April April 1st. Okay, cool. So, they
20:22didn't sign up. So, so straight away,
20:24what I can start to see is like, okay,
20:26this is the very first time that they've
20:27engaged with my content. Was my content
20:29the reason that they purchased? Yes. No.
20:32Maybe. You can start to see that through
20:33the person view because you can see the
20:35timeline of every t every time a note is
20:38updated or a record or a field is
20:40updated inside of the CRM. Um, and what
20:43it's also really interesting is I can
20:45start to understand okay you know if
20:47they didn't come on because of my
20:49content what is the churn stats of
20:52people engaging with my content as well.
20:55Am I renewing customers more because
20:57they're engaging with and when I say my
20:59content I'm more thinking myself but
21:02also just everyone by the way uh the
21:04brand as a whole um what impact does
21:07that have as well because everyone
21:09thinks about this from new beers new
21:12customers but there's also some really
21:13interesting stuff to being like what is
21:14the um churn analysis on this and we can
21:18go start creating some reports around
21:20this data as well to understand this or
21:23better yet you can use It's an MCP, hook
21:26this up to an agent and have it crunch
21:27all the data to give you this stats
21:29without you even to need to look at a
21:30dashboard, which is fairly redundant
21:32these days anyway.
21:34So, how are we doing this? Um, same
21:36principle. Um, data comes in whereas
21:39what we're doing here is we're actually
21:42wanting to make sure that we're only
21:44adding um, you know, ICP from my
21:47perspective. So initially as the data
21:50comes in through um triggery um we're
21:53understanding okay like are these people
21:55from one of these following um sorry
21:58does their job title contain one of
21:59these following keywords marketing
22:00growth demand founder and are they in
22:04some of these locations or not um as
22:07well and so you can start to exclude
22:08certain locations or include certain
22:10locations depending on you know where
22:13you can focus on so like our data is not
22:16not that particularly good for Asia. So
22:18I I don't actually register any um Asian
22:21based engagement um because we don't
22:23service the um
22:27those those like areas as well for
22:29example. Um and then job titles are very
22:32specific to us who who will go on and be
22:35like a decent customer and have
22:36longevity. So I only want those ones in
22:39my CRM. I don't want to clutter with
22:41every single engagement.
22:43Um, and so then what we're doing is
22:45we're using here I'm using Prospero.
22:48The nice thing when it comes in, let me
22:49just pull up uh let me pull up one here
22:52so I can show you some example data
22:54coming in. Okay, that's a nonICP one
22:57there. Here we go. Let's add this one
Data enrichment and email finding process
23:00in. So the data comes in. The cool thing
23:03about Triggery is we give tons of
23:07information coming in here. We're going
23:09to give you the person that they engage
23:11with, which in this case is me. We're
23:13going to give you the engagement URL.
23:16We're going to give you the text, the
23:18post text, the posted date that they
23:19engaged with. Then we're going to give
23:22you the job title of the person, the
23:24first name, the last name of the person
23:26who's engaged, their LinkedIn URL, their
23:29location as well, the engagement type um
23:33that it was, their domain, the industry,
23:35like it's so their company name, company
23:38size, so much data here. And I did a
23:40webinar yesterday showing a clay table.
23:42Like because we give so much
23:44information, you really don't need to
23:45use any credits as well inside of clay
23:47tables. And what that means inside of
23:49these NA10 flows is you can start to do
23:51some really cool stuff as well because
23:52we kind of give everything spoonfed. So
23:55what's the main thing with CRM that you
23:57have to do that creates um make sure
24:00that you don't duplicate anything. Um
24:03and that is basically typically the um
24:06main like dduplication or the identifier
24:08of an individual is either their
24:10LinkedIn URL or um their email. Um, you
24:15can do what we call like a composite
24:17key, which is where you you you say,
24:18okay, like, hey, they have to have two
24:20of the same fields. In this instance,
24:23I'm using Prospero to get their email
24:25address. Um, but you can use any email
24:28tool. Um, and once I have their email
24:32address, it's then a case of
24:34understanding
24:36um, do I need to route it to a few
24:39different places? So, these uh, leads
24:41are doing a few different things
24:42basically from um, here. So the first
24:44thing that we're looking at is we're
24:45understanding if this this is basically
24:47this if is understanding it like hey did
24:50we find the email address of this person
24:53or not. If we did that means what we can
24:56go and do is we can go and then
24:58basically add this individual or find
25:01this individual sorry by their email.
25:04The reason that we're going to go find
25:05them via their email is because they
25:08will already exist inside of the CRM for
25:13us. Um, the reason that they already
25:15exist is because I'm already pushing
25:17them across in another workflow. But
25:19what you can do is you can go and add
25:21them if they already don't exist uh for
25:23you. And and and also I only want to
25:27update people in in the CRM that's come
25:29on as like a customer because I'm
25:30wanting to understand like have they
25:32signed up. I don't want to just add
25:33every single individual. And so what I'm
25:36doing is I'm basically just updating my
25:38atio as and when someone has signed up
25:42um to then understand okay like is there
25:44revenue attribution there from a social
25:46perspective um or or not. I hope that
25:50makes sense. Um so once that's basically
25:54done, what it's then going to do is it's
25:56going to basically fire in a few
25:58different things. It's firing in um the
26:00engaged with URL, which is the post that
26:02the individual engaged with. It's firing
26:04in the engagement type. It's firing in
26:07who the user was. So um was it basically
26:11myself, peers, Morgan, Hugo, the key
26:15people that we're tracking. Um and then
26:18when did they engage with that's a
26:20really key one. I only ever update it
26:22once. I don't update it multiple times
26:24because I want to understand the unique
26:26data when they first did it. I can go
26:29through to these posts to see if they're
26:31engaging multiple times. That's a
26:32different data set that I want to
26:33monitor. This is more understanding when
26:35did their journey start with Triggery
26:38and was it through an engagement type or
26:41not.
26:43Now once you're doing all this, you're
26:45then storing all all of this
26:47information. You then can start to
26:49report on this uh as well. You can start
26:52report through it through your CRM. You
26:53could hook this up to an agent or you
26:56could hook it up to things like Post
26:58Hog. I don't know how many I don't know
26:59who's on the call to understand if we're
Product insights and feature adoption tracking
27:01founders or um you know what what level
27:03of kind of technical skill set, but I
27:06actually have this um clay uh
27:10spreadsheet as well. This is a bit of
27:12like a beastly one that we have here
27:13that comes in. Anyway, what we're doing
27:15here just to to build on this
27:17attribution is
27:20um where are we? Let's just go get it.
27:22Okay, here we go. So, we're
27:25understanding because we have There we
27:27go. Atio ID. Here we go. Um, because I
27:30store all this information in my CRM,
27:33when a new user comes in, I'm also
27:35monitoring them inside of uh Clay and
27:38I'm getting their um getting I'm pulling
27:42up their information, right, inside of
27:44Atio. So, this is this is the person
27:46that we're we're pulling up here. I'm
27:48then also pulling through the engaged
27:51with date and the engagement type
27:53fields, which is these parts. The reason
27:55I'm doing that inside of my clay
27:57workflow is that I'm then going ahead
27:59and I'm updating my Post Hog. Post hogg
28:02for those of you that don't know is
28:04basically like a um
28:07uh it it's it's a bit of an all-in-one
28:09tool for product, but one of the key
28:11parts is you have like this great level
28:13of like product insights and analytics.
28:15So, it's like a handy BI tool. Um, and
28:18so I'm updating a specific field, a
28:21custom field inside of post hog if they
28:23have engaged with me because then what I
28:26can then start to understand is, hey, is
28:29their usage different? So I'm
28:31understanding a few different things
28:33here, right? I'm understanding over here
28:35I can create a report to understand who
28:38signed up because of me, who is churning
28:41hopefully less because they're engaging
28:43with my content. So, it's like very
28:45revenue based stuff from the CRM because
28:48I also have all of my users flooding
28:50into something like Clay. You can also
28:51use NA10 for this. The more simple stuff
28:53I use uh clay for because it can just do
28:55it faster. Um I'm updating post hog um
29:02information to then understand okay does
29:05this affect the uh user journey as well
29:10uh and how they actually use us. So if
29:13they have liked my content x amount of
29:14times or the brand's content does the
29:17usage change really interestingly what
29:19I've started to notice is as you my
29:22content is varied I do like vlogs I do
29:24very like highle stuff but then I do
29:25very specific niche oriented oriented
29:29like triggery workflow stuff um and
29:34those content doesn't really do that
29:37well for
29:39um bringing customers on board, but
29:43because I've sent it through to Postto
29:46through Clay when reporting on it, it's
29:50very very interesting that actually a
29:52week after posting
29:55um the the post that I've done and the
29:58workflow those features within our
30:01platform get a uptick basically on
30:05usage. So it's really interesting to see
30:07that whilst um people are engaging with
30:10my content um from a who are customers
30:13it's actually driving um a level of
30:16usage from a feature adoption
30:19perspective as well which is really
30:21really interesting and you know before
30:24you know you'd be shooting in the dark
30:26thinking like does YouTube does LinkedIn
30:29does these sites actually have any
30:31impact YouTube's a little bit harder
30:33right you can't get it down to there but
30:34LinkedIn we
30:35you know, but because it because we can
30:38see that it has a massive impact from a
30:39LinkedIn standpoint, it's validation
30:41that we know that it has impact across
30:43other socials as well now. And so then
30:46we start to double down on the certain
30:48strategies
30:50around customer retention, around
30:53feature adoption through my channel. Uh
30:56as well,
30:59um we had a question here from um
Tying social posts to specific product features
31:01Brandon. I don't know which Brandon this
31:04is. I have a feeling I know which one.
31:06But yeah, for those for people who are
31:09who can't see it, it says Brandon says
31:11basically, are you effectively saying
31:12that you can tie your social media post
31:14to adoption or specific features and
31:15functions within the product? So, yes,
31:17basically this is what Yeah, exactly.
31:20Brandon, I I um I'd love to know I I
31:25won't ask you for your surname, but I'm
31:27thinking which Brandon who's speaking
31:29here. I think I know who it is. Um yeah,
31:32exactly. So because I'm I'm using Atio
31:36for my um is like my reporting on like
31:41does social media attribution affect new
31:45users and does it affect churn because I
31:48I have it linked up. I have like the
31:50customer life cycle. I have the journey.
31:52I do have usage stats inside of my um
31:54CRM as well but you don't get as good a
31:56reporting there. Um this is just very
31:58black and white like hey did this person
32:01sign up? Did they engage with my content
32:03prior to them signing up? Um, yes, no.
32:08And then did they uh how many times did
32:10they engage with me? Um, and what was
32:12the length? What was the LTV? Like what
32:14was the not really LTV, but more what
32:16was the length of time with their
32:18subscription and the amount of times
32:19that they engaged? And is there any
32:21correlation between that versus people
32:23who didn't engage as well? So that's
32:25what you get from the revenue through
32:27Clay. What I'm doing, you don't have to
32:29use Clay, um but I'm updating my post
32:32hog, which is my um product insights and
32:36analytics tool. I'm updating fields in
32:39there saying, "Hey, this person is
32:40engaged with my content. I'm sending
32:42through events into Clay uh in sorry
32:46into Post Hog, which then allows me to
32:48be like, okay, I can then crossorrelate.
32:51They've used this feature. they've done
32:53this particular funnel flow within the
32:55product itself
32:57pre-post or during me me like launching
33:01social media content and campaigns
33:02basically um which then means I am
33:06starting to influence
33:08what's really interesting right PI
33:10because you know Pier helps run a lot of
33:11our marketing stuff is we then tie in
33:15social media strategy around product
33:18launches around product marketing around
33:19product feature adoptions and get very
33:22specific specific and sometimes the
33:23content that I do on LinkedIn a lot of
33:25people say like it's almost too um
33:28bottom of the funnel but it's very
33:30deliberate because it actually gets um
33:33really good usage adoption from our
33:35current customers by watching it uh as
33:39well and we've been able to back that
33:40stats up through reporting on it and
33:42that's why we adopt that philosophy
33:44which is we go very bottom of the funnel
33:46approach rather than keeping it very
33:48high level top of the funnel which is
33:49better for like getting you know likes
33:52comments. But again, we don't really
33:53care about that. All we care about is
33:55are they converting or is it retaining
33:57people basically?
Sales team incentivization and lead routing
34:00Yeah.
34:02Yeah. Um so, so those are the those are
34:06the kind of two two flows. And I think
34:07what's really really exciting here, like
34:10um we don't really need to do this
34:12inside of Triggery because the sales
34:14team is me. Um, but a lot of customers
34:16that I've been working with building
34:18this out for, um, so a lot of trigger
34:21customers that that I help set up the
34:22NA10 flows and kind of bu this into
34:25their CRM is they have a sales team,
34:28maybe five people, 10 people, however
34:30big. If you think back to the days that
34:33you were selling, um, you know, it's
34:35like, why would I start posting on
34:38social media when I know that if they
34:41inbound that lead's going to get rooted
34:43to someone else anyway? So, what's like,
34:45what is the point? Um, you know, and
34:47that used to go through my head the
34:48whole time is like, what's the what's
34:50the point in posting because like it's
34:52not going to come to me unless I've
34:54prospected them already in uh the CRM.
34:58But nine times out of 10, you haven't.
35:01Um, the cool thing about this now is you
35:03can use it as an incentiviz
35:05incentivization to get your team to post
35:07because you're like, "Hey, like any
35:08leads that you convert,
35:11whether you've created them or not
35:12inside of the CRM or even if they're in
35:15someone else's name, depending on like
35:16your your ops rules, um, it can get
35:18rooted to you. Um, and you want it to be
35:21rooted to that rep because there's
35:24already trust that has been built there.
35:26And so if that person then is inbounding
35:28to that company and they then see that
35:30person that they're familiar with, the
35:32chances of that deal closing is also
35:34substantially higher. And so there's
35:36there's so much benefit to this and
35:38understanding this at like a more of a
35:40granular level than just being like,
35:42hey, this lead came from LinkedIn or
35:44from YouTube. It's unbelievable. And so
35:47you can actually really start to do
35:49customized lead routing based on who
35:51they engage with. And so you noticed
35:53just going back to my uh screen here
35:55quickly, you notice that I'm I'm
35:57actually I'm I'm attributing which user
Custom lead routing based on engagement
36:00it came from. Um it's a little bit low
36:03from you Pizzy. Uh we uh we we can then
36:07route it to the to the to the team
36:09member. Um and we do that deliberately.
36:13Um, you know, even though I'm like
36:15technically the salesperson, I want the
36:16the the person who brought in the lead,
36:19I want them to be the first point of
36:21contact with that individual because it
36:24has a way higher success rate and close
36:27rate than having someone completely
36:29totally different um as well because
36:32trust is already being built
36:34artificially through uh social media as
36:37well. I'm just incentivizing them to
36:40post more, which means more eyes on your
36:42business
36:44means, you know, more impressions, more
36:46reach across your entire brand,
36:47basically. So,
36:49yeah, we've got we've got a question
36:51here. It's I'm going to click answer
36:53live and see what this does. I don't
36:55know you would like to answer this
36:57question, Matt. I don't know what that
36:58did, but from Maria said, "For email
37:00enrichment you just talked about, it was
37:02sent 10 minutes ago. Are the are these
37:04personal and/all business emails?"
37:07business emails. It's business emails
37:09because the only reason I'm really using
37:11the email um is to make sure that I'm
37:14not duplicating
37:16um anyone. So, two things. I'm not
37:18duplicating anyone and I'm finding that
37:20person inside of the CRM. So, if they
37:22already exist inside of the CRM, I'm
37:24only really adding because our product
37:26only requires you to use um a business
37:29email. So, I just keep it all one Yeah.
37:32email currency so to speak, which is
37:34business email. So, I use I own news
37:36business, but you you could use
37:37personal, but again, there's there's no
37:40right or wrong answers with all of these
37:41things. It's um
37:44it's more specific to what data sets do
37:47you play with already. And again, like
37:50you would have seen with this, there's a
37:51lot of moving parts. I've got a lot of
37:53different systems set up. You've really
37:55got to when you're thinking about this,
37:56you really got to think overall, what
37:58does my data strategy look like? What
Q&A and upcoming Trigify workflows
38:00does the data pipeline look like? Um and
38:03how is it all joining? um how is it all
38:06joining together which then allows you
38:07to build these systems which are really
38:10actually fairly easy to build. The
38:12challenge is is getting everything into
38:14that like nicely aligned where you have
38:15everything linking up things pulling
38:17from you know your your clerk your
38:20authentication system through to um you
38:23know your CRM so on and so on and if you
38:26can't be bothered to learn NA10 then you
38:30know keep keep an eye out on triggery
38:32and we we'll do another one of how to do
38:34it within triggery at some point. Yeah.
38:37So, like I said, so we're launching
38:39template or we're launching workflows
38:41soon. So, social workflows, which is
38:43really really exciting. Specific social
38:45agents, the ability to to contextualize
38:47social data, do very very complex stuff,
38:50but very very simply, uh, which is
38:51really exciting. Um, one of them will be
38:54this is already pre-done for you. So, if
38:55you're like, I want to do revenue
38:56attribution, you just click it and it
38:58will set it up for you in Salesforce, in
39:00HubSpot, in Atio, in Pipe Drive, um, as
39:03well. And it will do everything that
39:04I've shown you manually here today. it
39:06will do it for you. That's coming in the
39:08next two to three weeks. So, if you want
39:10access to that, just let us know. It's
39:11going to go out on beta to start with.
39:13Um, otherwise, I'm going to share all of
39:15these templates uh with you. Um, we're
39:19also going to create some Zapier and
39:20some make ones. Um, but if you want any
39:23help with this, just give us a shout. We
39:24set this up for a lot of people uh as
39:26well.
39:28Cool. Any questions? Are we uh we are we
39:31are we we dry it up there, Pier? I think
39:33uh I think that's it. Yeah, Brandon's
39:36just agreeing that there's it's a good
39:39way to convince your team. No, it is.
39:42Yeah. Yeah, for sure. Uh like it's
39:46really hard to get sales people to post.
39:48Um I know like I've tried to do it loads
39:50of times in the past. Uh
39:53yeah. Yeah. Um but by incentivizing this
39:57like it really like uh it by like saying
Incentivizing sales teams and content creation
40:00like hey dangling the carrot like you
40:01will get the leads that come in. it like
40:04really enables it. The other really cool
40:06thing is if you're from a marketing
40:08standpoint, you can start to understand
40:11what posts are actually performing the
40:13best in a conversion rate and you can
40:16take that post. You could create maybe
40:18like a custom um agent that has ingested
40:23all of the your most top performing
40:25content. They could also listen to sales
40:27calls. So you could feed any of your
40:29sales calls that you have, feed that
40:31through into this agent and be like,
40:32"Hey, based on frequently asked
40:33questions, create some LinkedIn content
40:35based on these things that always
40:36convert,
40:38this style, this tonality,
40:40um, you know, this content theme. Um,
40:43and you can start ghostwriting for your
40:45sales team as well. So you can even
40:46start spoon feeding the posts. Um, and
40:49there's incentivization for them to to
40:51do that as well.
40:53Leaderboard and a bonus." Yeah. Yeah.
40:55Yeah. With a leaderboard and bonus.
40:57Exactly.
40:59Yeah. Cool. Well, listen, um, thank you
41:02all so much. I really enjoyed that one.
41:04Um, we're doing these every week, just
41:07me kind of sitting down, kind of nerding
41:08out over some cool social workflows,
41:11whether it's using trigger fire alone,
41:13whether it's Clay, whether it's NA10.
41:15Um, really breaking down into how to get
41:17the most out of your social data in
41:20various different ways. So, we've got a
41:21lot of exciting stuff coming up. So, uh,
41:23yeah, hopefully you can join us next
41:24week as well. Cool.
41:28Awesome. Yeah, I'll connect with you, J.
41:29Saw your message on Slack. I will um
41:32give you give you a ping. Awesome.
41:35Goodbye, everyone. Bye, everyone. Bye.
41:37Bye.
