0:02Previously we looked at slicing in Sculpt mode using Masks.
0:06If you want a sharper slice, you can use Face Sets instead.
0:10In Sculpt Mode select the Lasso Face Set tool and use it to draw a Face set.
0:16To edit the Face set, use the Draw Face Sets tool
0:19and hold Ctrl over the Face Set that you want to draw more of.
0:25With the Mesh Filter set to Relax Face Sets, hold the LMB and drag to the right
0:30to make the Face Set borders smooth. Press H while hovering over either Face
0:35Set to hide the other Face Set. Go to Mask > Fill Mask or press
0:40Ctrl+i to mask the visible geometry. Press Alt+H to unhide the hidden part.
0:47From the Mask menu choose Mask Slice to New Object.
0:51This gives a cleaner slice than if you used a Mask instead of a Face Set.
