0:00Force Pole has saved many Force users in

0:02battle against their enemies. This

0:04ability allows one to draw objects such

0:06as a lightsaber or other useful items

0:09close to oneself. It relies on

0:11telekinesis, enabling Jedi to pull their

0:13enemies closer as well. However, the

0:16effective use of this ability strongly

0:17depends on the user's skill. If the

0:20object or person being pulled weighs as

0:22much as Jabba the Hut, using Force Pull

0:24might be futile. Force pull also comes

0:26in handy when users find themselves near

0:28chasms that separate them from distant

0:30enemies during combat. Some powerful

0:32Jedi and even Force users on the dark

0:34side have used this ability to bring

0:36down massive ships such as Star

0:38Destroyers. Tulac Horde, a dark lord of

0:41the Sith, also known as the Lord of

0:43Hate, was said to have applied force

0:45pull on a hammerhead class cruiser,

0:47bringing it down to the surface of a

0:48planet. Totally insane. Galen Merrick,

0:52Darth Vader's apprentice, also employed

0:53force pull on a weakened Imperial iClass

0:56star destroyer on Rexus Prime, causing

0:58even more damage to the already

1:00crumbling ship.

1:03This force power goes beyond one's own

1:05feelings. It allows users to perceive

1:07the feelings of others. Whether it's a

1:10traumatic event, a future occurrence, a

1:12disturbance, or impending danger, Force

1:14Sense brings all of these to awareness.

1:17Think of it like Spider-Man spider

1:18sense, but you wouldn't find any Jedi or

1:21dark side force user saying, "Ooh, my

1:23force senses are tingling." Yesesh.

1:26Another aspect of this ability is how

1:28one can fight without relying on

1:30physical senses. Sometimes the Force

1:32provides directional prompts guiding

1:34what to do or avoid, which could be

1:36based on the future or in the moment.

1:38This amazing ability was among the first

1:40things taught to Padawans, as mastering

1:42and heightening their force sense was

1:44essential. Every force-sensitive being

1:46is born with it. Through this power,

1:48Kylo Ren in the Star Wars: The Force

1:50Awakens episode 7 was able to easily

1:53sense the presence of his father, Han

1:55Solo on Stariller base.

1:58Force push is essentially the opposite

2:00of Force Pull. Instead of bringing

2:02people or objects closer, it tosses them

2:04into the air or in any direction though

2:06wielder seems fit. It is not always used

2:08as a defensive response. Sometimes it's

2:10also used offensively against an

2:12approaching enemy or thrown object. The

2:14skill level of the wielder determines

2:16the strength of this ability, allowing

2:18them to create a massive outburst of

2:20force energy after charging up for a few

2:22seconds. So basically, the stronger you

2:24are, the better you get with Force Push.

2:27On the planet Mustafar, Darth Vader and

2:29Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi used force

2:31push against each other, throwing each

2:33other backward in the process. The

2:35Wookie Jedi Master Kaka employed this

2:38ability while under the mind control of

2:39a coven of Force-sensitive witches in

2:41the Acolyte. He used this power against

2:44Saul and Torbin, his fellow Jedi allies,

2:46hurling them with extreme force into a

2:48wall.

2:51Force lightning is a visible force

2:53power, one that can be clearly seen in

2:55action and demonstrated through its

2:56effects, unlike telekinetically inclined

2:59force powers. When used, it can cause an

3:02opponent's skeleton to glow as they're

3:03blasted by it. While force lightning is

3:06more commonly associated with the dark

3:07side, it seems to be a favorite of many.

3:10The name alone carries an aura, and its

3:12display is undeniably satisfying to

3:14watch. The power inflicts enormous and

3:17excruciating pain on opponents to the

3:19point that the hands of the wielder

3:20often emit smoke afterward. Just badass.

3:23Though, maybe we could change its name

3:25to the ultimate badass force move.

3:29Forget it. You've got to respect Force

3:31Lightning, especially after seeing it

3:33used by the fearsome Palpatine. Count

3:35Dooku also used this power on his

3:37apprentices Assange Ventress and Savage

3:39oppress to deepen Sage's connection to

3:41the Force and feed on his hate. Dooku

3:44exposed him to enormous doses of force

3:46lightning. What a way to make someone

3:47tap into their potential. Heesh. On the

3:50other hand, as punishment for her

3:52disobedience and betrayal, Assange

3:54Ventress received several strokes of

3:56Force Lightning from Count Dooku,

3:58leaving visible dark lines on her skin.

4:02Force repulse is a deadly ball-like

4:04kinetic force attack emitted by wielders

4:06to destroy and disrupt objects and

4:08individuals around them. This power was

4:11also known as force pulse. The

4:13telekinetic explosions from a force

4:15repulse were so violent that even its

4:17ripples in space were often avoided by

4:19opponents. You have to be incredibly

4:22strong and probably immovable to stand

4:24against a force repulse. But even then,

4:26it would be a dangerous move. This

4:28ability was used by both Jedi and dark

4:31side force users and Darth Vader being

4:33one of its most skillful practitioners.

4:36He also trained his apprentice, the

4:37formidable Stariller, in the art of

4:39force repulsing.

4:42Kaboom. And that's all you hear when

4:44this Force power comes at you. Force

4:47shockwave is deadly, dangerous, and

4:49destructive. It sends battle droids

4:51flying into the air, screaming, "We're

4:53doomed." The force shock wave is known

4:56by many names. Some call it the force

4:58bomb, which aptly describes what this

5:00power can do. Others refer to it as the

5:03focus shock wave, another name that

5:05captures its destructive nature. This

5:07ring of energy proves incredibly useful

5:10when surrounded by enemies, giving the

5:11force user a swift victory in battle.

5:14Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin

5:16Skywalker were knocked off their feet

5:18along with a group of battle droids

5:20while fighting Savage Press, proving

5:22this force power as merciless, clearing

5:24and pushing everything in its path.

5:28Force Stasis is a

5:29telekineticallyincclined force ability

5:32that causes opponents to become

5:33immobile, keeping them in a state of

5:35stasis, hence the name. When facing

5:37enemies, it provides wielders with a

5:39quick advantage. It can also be used to

5:41stop or freeze objects thrown in their

5:43direction. In Star Wars: The Clone Wars,

5:46the dimminitive yet powerful Master Yoda

5:48uses this ability to stop Assange

5:50Ventress from killing King Katuno. Darth

5:53Vader also employed this force power to

5:55slow the explosion of a grenade during

5:57his attack on Brightome, allowing him to

5:59escape before it spread.

6:02Similar to the mind probe, the mind

6:04trick gives force users access to the

6:07minds of their victims, allowing them to

6:09manipulate their thoughts and even

6:10actions. This mindaltering ability is

6:13also known by other names, mind touch

6:15and mind form. Let's hear what Jedi

6:18Master Luke Skywalker has to say about

6:20this ability. This ability works

6:22particularly well on the weak-minded,

6:24but some species, including Huts and

6:26Toidarians, are naturally immune to its

6:28influence. While it took three Jedi

6:30Masters in Star Wars: The Clone Wars to

6:32extract info from the mind of the

6:34resilient Cadbane, it would only take

6:37one with a death wish to attempt using

6:38it on Jabba.

6:41Force choke is one of the most popular

6:43and feared force powers. It allows Force

6:46users to choke their opponents from any

6:48distance, making it a deadly offensive

6:50technique. This telekinetic ability

6:52enables the user to squeeze the throat

6:54of their enemies, rendering them

6:56helpless. By using the Force to grip

6:58their opponent's neck, Force users make

7:00it nearly impossible for the victim to

7:02resist. Darth Vader is the primary user

7:04of this power with numerous instances

7:06where he choked both enemies and

7:08disobedient subordinates. Emperor

7:10Palpatine too could use this ability

7:12remotely, even when speaking to someone

7:14through a hologram. A particularly

7:16tragic moment occurred when Anakin,

7:18having fallen to the dark side and lost

7:20control of his temper, choked his

7:22pregnant wife, Padme Amidadala, in

7:23Revenge of the Sith.

7:26Force Destruction is a havoc wreaking

7:28force power. This ability allows

7:30wielders to create a massive energy

7:32field with paralytic effects on their

7:34opponents. Users build up this force

7:36energy, often drawing from the dark side

7:38and can release it at close range or

7:40from a distance. The immense power

7:43generated by this ability requires

7:44significant energy and effort from the

7:46user. Naturally, this can lead to quick

7:49exhaustion, but it is highly effective

7:51against formidable opponents. One of the

7:53most notable users of this power was the

7:55Miraluca Jedi Master Jerick. He employed

7:58force destruction in the Valley of the

8:00Jedi against Kyle Qatarn. Darth Vader

8:03also used this power in Star Wars the

8:04Force Unleashed when battling Gal and

8:06Merik.

8:09Force barrier allows Force users to face

8:11their enemies without the need for

8:12physical shields, making them appear

8:14dauntless and fearless, as using a

8:16shield would seem redundant. The Force

8:19Barrier is somewhat similar to Force

8:20Push, but it is primarily used as a

8:23defensive technique and sometimes even

8:25offensively. With this power, wielders

8:27can block blaster shots and deflect

8:29lightsaber strikes by creating a

8:31protective force shield around

8:32themselves. Some Force users have even

8:35succeeded in deflecting heavy shots from

8:37launchers and other powerful weapons.

8:39There are other Force powers that share

8:41similar functionality to the Force

8:42Barrier, including force resistance,

8:45protection bubble, and force resilience.

8:47In Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Yoda,

8:50Anakin Skywalker, and Isa Sakura used

8:52the Force Barrier to protect both

8:54Palpatine and Padme Amidadala from a

8:56poisonous gas cloud. Jedi Master Obi-Wan

8:59Kenobi also employed this technique to

9:01block shots from a sonic boom grenade

9:03launcher fired at him by a bounty

9:05hunter.

9:07Force resilience is a force power that

9:09acts as an immunity ability against

9:11other Force powers by developing an aura

9:14around the wielder. Force resilience

9:16makes users impenetrable and nearly

9:18invulnerable to massive explosions and

9:19heavy impact attacks. Think of it like a

9:22force wielder walking through fire and

9:24blast. Much like the Terminator, the

9:26Jedi Sentinels, a branch of the Jedi

9:28Order known for their exceptional combat

9:30skills and extensive knowledge of the

9:32Force, focused on developing force

9:34resilience specifically against the dark

9:36side. This focus gave them near

9:38invulnerability to Force powers that

9:40induce fear and disorientation.

9:44The Force Orb, which I'd call the Aqua

9:46Force power, is the only force ability

9:48that works underwater. Developed from

9:50pure force energy, the Force Orb is

9:53exceptional in both nature and effect.

9:55With a strong bubble of air, Jedi

9:57masters like Kitfisto could disable crab

10:00cannons. In the Battle of Mcala,

10:02Kitfisto used the Force Orb to create a

10:04temporary breathing helmet for Padme

10:06Amadala, allowing her to breathe

10:07underwater. Who knew a Force power could

10:10save you from the hassle of wearing an

10:12oxygen mask? or whatever they wore in

10:14space water.

10:17This ability came at Force users on its

10:19own accord when they were unconscious or

10:21asleep. That is, force users really

10:24never needed to summon or deliberately

10:26experience force visions. However, this

10:28does not mean they could not make a

10:30connection to this ability by

10:31themselves. Force visions were not to be

10:33taken too seriously because the emotions

10:36of Force users could be clouded their

10:37judgment on whatever they saw in their

10:39visions. The force power provided sight

10:42into the past, future, and other places

10:44in time. Anakin Skywalker through Force

10:47visions witnessed his mother's death,

10:49his wife's death, and also saw himself

10:51become Darth Vader in Star Wars: The

10:53Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith.

10:57Force healing is a rare and miraculous

11:00force ability. Wielders of this power

11:02can extend their hands to the wounded or

11:04to areas affected by poisoning in order

11:06to heal or revive a loved one. However,

11:09this comes at a cost as the healer pours

11:11their own life energy into the other

11:13person. This transfer of energy drains

11:15the healer's strength and in more

11:17serious cases, especially in the context

11:19of a force diad, it can result in the

11:22healer sacrificing their own life for

11:24the other. Anakin, Grou, and Rey are

11:27seen using force healing in the

11:28Mandalorian, the Clone Wars, and Star

11:31Wars Episode 9: The Rise of Skywalker to

11:33heal or even bring their loved ones back

11:35to life.

11:37Closely related to the force shock wave

11:39is the force wave. Another crowdcontrol

11:42force power that sends enemies into the

11:44air, scattering them in different

11:45directions. It provides the wielder with

11:47more time to plan their next move and

11:50land a finishing strike while enemies

11:51are stunned and trying to recover. The

11:54force wave is essentially useful when

11:56surrounded by a large group of

11:57opponents. Many force users have

11:59employed this ability in battle,

12:01including Mace Wendu, Yoda, and Darth

12:03Bane. Numerous others skilled in this

12:06force power have demonstrated how

12:08powerful and damaging it can be when

12:10facing multiple enemies.

12:13Force shadow is a stealthy force power

12:15recognized as a dark side ability. The

12:18name alone gives you the heebie-jebies.

12:20With force shadow, force wielders can

12:22project themselves into different

12:24locations using the stealthy nature of

12:26shadows to remain undetected. This

12:28ability was particularly useful for the

12:30Force Hounds of the Infinite Empire, as

12:32it allowed them to easily detect and

12:34locate areas with exceptional

12:36concentrations of Force energy.

12:39Force Blast is a more intense force

12:41power that not only throws enemies off

12:43balance, but also sends them flying a

12:45long distance away. This ability is an

12:48advanced version of Force Push, wasting

12:50no time in launching enemies far from

12:52the wielder. With this technique, Force

12:54users can quickly knock their enemies to

12:56the ground and claim victory. One blast

12:58from this power and you're like a

13:00gunner. Combining this ability with

13:02other force powers makes any user nearly

13:04impenetrable and extremely difficult to

13:06defeat. The two most prominent users of

13:09this ability remain Darth Vader and his

13:11formidable apprentice Galen Merik.

13:15Force Blinding was a powerful force

13:17power used by both Sith and Jedi. Its

13:20effect focused on causing temporal

13:21blindness on victims, giving their

13:23opponents an advantage in battle over

13:25them or enough time to flee. This

13:27ability was considered a force power

13:29belonging or more associated with the

13:31light side. However, dark Jedi Yun is

13:34one of the few who has employed this

13:35force ability in battle. This force

13:38ability is very opposite of force

13:40blinding. While force blinding seeks to

13:42cause an opponent to startle and

13:44experience blindness for a short period

13:46of time, force sight was to enhance the

13:48visual sight of force users. It is kind

13:51of like force sense only that it dwelt

13:53more on sight. Even though Kananjarus in

13:56Star Wars Rebels was blind, he learned

13:58to rely on this force power when

14:00fighting against opponents and when

14:01doing normal stuff Jedi do, it doesn't

14:04always have to be about fighting.

14:06Force space was a force ability for

14:08instant teleportation for both beings

14:11and objects. Jedi Master Luke Skywalker

14:14also learned to use this force ability

14:15when he visited the Ang home world with

14:18his son, Jedi Knight Ben Skywalker. It

14:21also allowed force users to be

14:23impervious to force pull, push, or grab.

14:27With precognition, force users had

14:29insight and depth into matters of the

14:31future. The force power was also called

14:34foresight and known by the near human

14:36species called the Chis as the third

14:38sight. Before Anakin Skywalker became

14:40Darth Vader, he used this ability to

14:42know when enemies would strike or where

14:44an attack could come from. Among the

14:46Chis, females were mostly the ones born

14:48with force-sensitive abilities, which

14:50were used to help navigate ships.

14:53However, this force power lost its

14:54strength among them as they got older.

14:56Seems theirs had an expiry date.

15:00The force diad was an ability involving

15:02the pairing of two force users, creating

15:04a force bond or connection that allowed

15:06both individuals to see, sense, and feel

15:09the same things. This bond was not

15:12restricted by distance or time. In Star

15:14Wars 9: The Rise of Skywalker, Ben Solo

15:17and Ray exhibit this bond, discovering

15:19they could sense things and connect with

15:21each other through the Force.

15:24Force empathy shows us that Force powers

15:26aren't just about tossing enemies into

15:28the air, blocking blaster shots, and

15:30performing other impressive feats.

15:31There's also an emotional side to them.

15:34Force empathy is the ability that allows

15:36force-sensitive individuals to sense the

15:38feelings of others. It reveals the

15:40emotional state of individuals,

15:42uncovering hidden secrets, thoughts, and

15:44motives, whether good or evil. During

15:47the first battle of Geonosis, Master

15:49Yoda employed Force empathy to resolve a

15:51heated argument between Obi-Wan Kenobi

15:53and Anakin Skywalker. The argument

15:55centered around Padme Amidala's fall

15:57from a lat gunship, and Yoda could sense

15:59the tension between the two Jedi

16:01masters.

16:04Force Enrage is another Force power that

16:06taps into emotions. Though it is most

16:08commonly associated with Force users

16:10from the dark side, it is an ability

16:12that requires users to harness every bit

16:14of their negative emotions. Pain, anger,

16:17hate, fear, weaponizing them to become

16:20more powerful. This power often

16:22increases a user's stamina and strength.

16:24However, due to the intense nature of

16:26the ability, users can grow weak after

16:28prolonged use, requiring time to recover

16:31as their diabolically fused rage begins

16:33to fizzle out. You would find the likes

16:35of Darth Vader and Kylo Ren unleashing

16:37full rage on their opponents whenever

16:39they tapped into force enrage or focused

16:41rage, as it is sometimes called.

16:45With force slow, wielders almost seemed

16:47as though they could control time.

16:49However, this force ability primarily

16:51affected a victim's mental and physical

16:53state, causing them to slow down. It was

16:56used by both Sith and Dark Jedi. A

16:58variant of this ability was Force

17:00Exhaustion. There are other Force powers

17:03with similar effects to Force Slow,

17:04including Force Affliction and Force

17:06Plague. Force Affliction affected

17:09victims like poison, while Force Plague

17:11was a deadlier ability compared to Force

17:13Affliction. The Jedi Guardians who

17:16fought in the Cold War and the Galactic

17:18War used Force Slow to gain a solid

17:20advantage over their foes.

17:24This force power goes by many names.

17:27Aura of Insignificance, Force

17:28Invisibility, and Force Camouflage. It

17:31was a technique used by Force wielders

17:33to avoid detection, and a rare ability

17:35among them. Behind this technique was

17:38the skill and ability to bend light and

17:40sound waves photokinetically, making the

17:42Force users undetectable and invisible

17:44within enemy lines. Though it was a

17:47difficult skill to master, the likes of

17:48Luke Skywalker and Jaden Core achieved

17:51mastery in the use of this resourceful

17:53force power.

17:56Among the Jedi, Electric Judgment was a

17:58forbidden force power. Other names for

18:00this dangerous ability included emerald

18:02lightning and fingertip lightning as it

18:04allowed users to fire intense bolts of

18:06electricity through their hands or

18:08fingers. This made it very similar to

18:10force lightning. The main difference

18:12between this Jedi ability and force

18:14lightning, a dark side ability, was

18:16their applications. A Jedi would use

18:18electric judgment with a well-examined

18:20and determined sense of justice. Whereas

18:22force lightning was typically lethal and

18:24anger induced. Luke Skywalker, Plun, and

18:28Jason Solo were some of the most

18:29well-known users of this force

18:31technique.

18:34Two dim minis was the general term and

18:36classification for force abilities

18:37related to absorbing energy. This force

18:40power was taught to padawans to show

18:42them how possible it is for users to

18:44generate and absorb the kind of energy

18:46found in lightsabers and blaster bolts.

18:48The technique of force absorption was

18:50not exclusive to the Jedi. Other Force

18:53wielders outside the Jedi Order also use

18:55this ability. One iconic demonstration

18:58of this power occurs in Star Wars

19:00Episode 2: Attack of the Clones, where

19:02Master Yoda is shown absorbing Darth

19:04Tyrannis' Force Lightning.

19:07Force speed allows Force users to move

19:09like speedsters in just a few seconds.

19:12The advantage provided by this ability

19:14was in the user's reaction and responses

19:16to enemy attacks. For the user, the

19:18world or space around them would be in

19:20slow motion, while to their opponents,

19:22they're elusive and almost as fast as

19:24lightning speed. The only downside to

19:27this ability was that it relied on the

19:28energy of the wielder, meaning moving at

19:30such great speeds to repeatedly would

19:33lead to exhaustion. Obi-Wan Kenobi and

19:35his master Qui-Gon Jinn and the Phantom

19:37Menace used this force power to escape

19:39from destroyer droids, or better known

19:41as droidicas, on a droid control ship.

19:46Lightning Shield worked similarly to

19:47Force Lightning. It was another variant

19:49of Force Lightning used defensively

19:51against enemy attacks. However, it could

19:53still shock nearby enemies. With the

19:56Lightning Shield, Force users could also

19:58remain airborne for some time while

20:00dealing with their opponents. Those who

20:02could effectively use this force power

20:04were typically masters of force

20:05lightning, such as Palpatine, Darth

20:07Knox, and Luke Skywalker.

20:11What the forced ren did to the bodies of

20:13many victims was diabolical. The force

20:16power enabled wielders to not only

20:18telekinetically lift their opponents,

20:20but to distort and subject their bodies

20:22to unnatural bending positions. Such was

20:25a gruesome and highly brutish sight to

20:27behold as the bodies of victims were

20:29squashed as if they were paper being

20:31squeezed. One instance of this is in

20:33Star Wars Destiny Legacies where a rebel

20:36trooper is attacked with Force Rend, his

20:38body contorted in midair as he drops his

20:40blaster pistol from the excruciating

20:42pain of the Force power.

20:45The strength of this Force power and the

20:47extent of its damage rested on time and

20:49energy. Force-sensitive individuals

20:52would create a transparent force energy

20:54around themselves, charging up to

20:56release a huge and deadly blast. The

20:58force energy around them could either be

21:00blue, green, or red for those on the

21:02dark side. However, opponents who were

21:05also forces sensitive could deflect this

21:06move using a protection bubble. Qui-Gon

21:09Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi employed this

21:11ability in the game Star Wars Episode 1:

21:14Jedi Power Battles.

21:16The Sith Seeker was known to inflict

21:18significant damage upon enemies. It

21:21often followed a heavy force push where

21:23users would send their opponents into

21:24the air and gift them a ball of force

21:26lightning as they traveled midair. It

21:29was a wicked move, and who could have

21:31executed it with more style than the

21:32ragefilled and defiant Galen Merik.

21:36Levitation made it possible for

21:38Force-sensitive individuals to float in

21:40midair. This force power was mostly used

21:42by Jedi during meditation. It made the

21:45ability appear redundant and unuseful in

21:47battle. Jedi Knight Dez Ryden once

21:50explained that levitation could only be

21:52used in less stressful scenarios,

21:54highlighting that its function was never

21:55designed for combat. Ry in Star Wars

21:58Episode 8, The Last Jedi is seen using

22:00the ability while meditating. Imagine

22:03Superman knowing how to fly, but only

22:05using it when he wanted to take a nap.

22:08Force Shock was an ability that targeted

22:11nearby enemies. This force power had

22:13similarities to force lightning, but it

22:15was used to stun opponents, rendering

22:17them immobile for a period of time. We

22:19could call it the stun gun for

22:21force-sensitive beings. Sometimes force

22:23users could direct their force shock at

22:25a specific opponent. And much like a

22:27guided missile, it would only cease once

22:30it had met its target. Jedi Master

22:32Hamner employed this ability on his

22:34enemies, keeping them unconscious for a

22:36satisfactory amount of time. Of course,

22:40Vader, due to his suit, couldn't have

22:42been shooting lightning from his robotic

22:43hands, as that would have been extremely

22:45dangerous. However, Vader had a trick up

22:48his sleeve to enable him to unleash

22:50blast of lightning. The Vader variant.

22:52He would inflict this upon his enemies

22:54by creating force lightning strikes that

22:56came from above. Wicked. Just wicked.

23:00Flow walking was the force ability that

23:02required a lot of caution when employed

23:04by Force-sensitive individuals. It was

23:07also a rare force power used mostly by

23:09the Angi monks. Through flow walking,

23:12force users could bend the past to

23:14reshape future events. Both Jason Solo

23:16and Ben Skywalker were taught by Angi

23:19monks how to use this force power,

23:21although it had its limits.

23:24Taming beasts gave force-sensitive

23:26beings the power to connect with

23:27animals. This ability was also known as

23:30beast control, animal bond, and animal

23:32kinship. For any force user, connecting

23:35with a creature meant letting go of

23:36mental restrictions and opening

23:38themselves up to the power of the force.

23:40Ezra Bridger in Star Wars Rebels had a

23:42strong connection to nature, which made

23:44him a master at taming beasts.

23:48The Theren Force listening ability was

23:50associated with a cult of force-

23:51wielding old-timers. This force power

23:54also allowed Force users to understand

23:56languages spoken by other beings and

23:58listen to organic creatures from a

24:00distance. Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi,

24:02and Ahsokaano used this power during

24:04their different journeys and adventures

24:06in the Coruscant underworld.

24:09Psychometry was a rare and innate force

24:12ability, meaning it couldn't be learned

24:14like other Force powers, where users

24:16could be trained to effectively use

24:17their abilities. This force power

24:20allowed force-sensitive individuals to

24:22acquire information about people or

24:24places simply by touching objects they

24:26had interacted with or locations they

24:28had visited. This ability was also known

24:30as force echo or sense echo and it often

24:33led to force visions. It was a valuable

24:36tool for tracking targeted opponents or

24:38finding them. In short, it was a force

24:40power for sniffing out enemies, locating

24:42loved ones, and finding objects or

24:44places of interest. Ahsokaano uses this

24:46ability in Star Wars Ahsoka in an

24:48attempt to locate Sabine Ren, her

24:50stubborn and strong willed apprentice.

24:54Force scream was an ability more

24:56commonly associated with dark side for

24:58sensitive individuals. This power

25:00involved screams fueled by negative

25:03emotions such as rage, grief, and pain.

25:05However, it often occurred

25:07involuntarily, typically when a dark

25:09Jedi or Sith Lord was overwhelmed by

25:11frustration or defeat. A notable example

25:14is Darth Vader in Revenge of the Sith.

25:16Upon being informed of Padme's passing,

25:18his scream unleashed powerful

25:20force-induced waves that reverberated

25:22across space. Another instance occurred

25:25when Darth Maul accidentally cut

25:26himself, triggering a force scream that

25:29collapsed the walls of the Orsus

25:30Academy. Maul also used the force scream

25:33while fighting Assaj Ventress and

25:34Obi-Wan Kenobi. During that battle, both

25:36Obi-Wan and Savage Press struggled to

25:39stop Maul, who in his pain could not

25:41control the scream.

25:44The Force Grip was a telekinetically

25:46inclined Force power that allowed users

25:48to firmly grab their opponents, often

25:50lifting them into the air. Force users

25:52employed this ability to immobilize,

25:54restrain, and hold their enemies all at

25:56once. The technique made it appear as

25:58though the victim was being squeezed by

26:00an invisible hand. This ability,

26:02however, was predominantly used by the

26:04dark side force sensitive individuals.

26:07Jedi could also use this power, but

26:09typically only when they wanted to

26:10restrain an opponent without causing

26:12harm. They exercised great caution to

26:14avoid giving in to emotions that were

26:16closely tied to the dark side. Count

26:18Dooku in his duel against Obi-Wan Kenobi

26:21in Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the

26:23Sith uses it to incapacitate the Jedi

26:25Master temporarily.

26:28Force users employed force disarm in a

26:31similar way to how they used force pull.

26:33However, this ability specifically

26:35targeted an opponent's weapon, pulling

26:37it away from them. This force power was

26:39especially effective at defeating

26:41enemies quickly. It often took a

26:42powerful and highly experienced force

26:44user to disarm an opponent without much

26:46effort. A prime example is Master Yoda,

26:49who easily and swiftly disarmed Assaj

26:51Ventress when she attempted to

26:53assassinate Toidarian King Katuno.

26:55Another combat efficient and experienced

26:57force user who demonstrated this ability

26:59was Darth Vader, who disarmed and

27:02captured Han Solo along with his men.

27:05This force power was uniquely used by

27:07Tenebrae, also known as Darth Vish. It

27:10came with a pink beam of force energy

27:12which the user could target opponents

27:14with. However, Tenebrae would eventually

27:16use this force power for the last time

27:18in a battle that would lead to his

27:20death.

27:21Shatterpoint was a force power that

27:23functioned like a detector of weaknesses

27:25or significant events. It focused on

27:28identifying critical flaws, which could

27:30be physical, emotional, or mental. Force

27:32users skilled in this ability could

27:34easily sense these weak points and

27:36manipulate them as they saw fit.

27:38Shatterpoint could be applied to both

27:39objects and living beings. A force user

27:42could perceive and find vulnerabilities

27:44in objects and with the force shatter

27:46them into pieces. The same applied to

27:48living beings. In a fight against Darth

27:51Talon and Nina Kalix, Cade Skywalker

27:53easily detected their shatter points,

27:56injuries he himself had healed. Through

27:59this knowledge, he was able to break

28:00them by reopening their old wounds. A

28:03popular and highly efficient user of

28:04this force power was Mace Wu. Darth

28:07Cidius also sensed a shatterpoint in

28:09Luke Skywalker when the Tidurium landed

28:12on the sanctuary moon.

28:15Force projection was an extremely

28:17demanding force ability. It required

28:19users to project themselves or create a

28:21doppelganger of themselves from vast

28:23distances or anywhere in the galaxy.

28:26However, the doppelganger they created

28:28would only be an illusion, not their

28:30actual selves. This ability required

28:32immense focus and demanded the force

28:34users give up their life essence to

28:36project themselves. It was also known as

28:39siml futurists, a force technique most

28:41closely associated with the religious

28:43group known as the phallinasi. This

28:45technique had its origins in sacred text

28:48written by ancient Jedi masters and

28:50would eventually become Jedi Master Luke

28:52Skywalker's last resort in saving and

28:54helping the resistance escape in the

28:56battle of crate against the fearinducing

28:58and emotionally disturbed Kylo Ren.

29:02The ability to retain one's presence in

29:04the force after death was a light side

29:06power known as force spirit. Users of

29:09this power included the force

29:11priestesses and a few Jedi masters.

29:13Those with this rare ability underwent

29:15special training to retain their

29:17consciousness after death. One such user

29:19of this power among the Jedi was Quigon

29:22Jinn. In his conversation with Master

29:24Yoda in his spirit form, he said, "All

29:26energy from the living force, from all

29:28things that have ever lived, feeds into

29:30the cosmic force, binding everything and

29:33communicating to us through the

29:34medlorans." Because of this, I can speak

29:37to you now. Master Yoda himself would

29:39eventually be able to use this power to

29:41appear to Luke Skywalker alongside other

29:43Jedi masters, Anakin Skywalker and

29:46Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars Episode 6,

29:49Return of the Jedi.

29:52Force users from both the light side and

29:54the dark side used this ability to block

29:56and deflect blaster shots. It could also

29:59be employed to counter force lightning.

30:01Another name for this ability was

30:02rebuke. Force sensitive individuals even

30:05without their lightsabers could protect

30:07themselves if ambushed or attacked,

30:09making it a valuable substitute for

30:11blocking blaster bolts. Obi-Wan Kenobi

30:13uses this force power while fighting

30:15Durge, the dreaded male Gendai bounty

30:17hunter in the Clone Wars. During the

30:19first battle of Geonosis, Master Yoda

30:21deflects Darth Tyrannis' Force Lightning

30:24and also uses the ability to defend

30:26himself from Palpatines's deadly Sith

30:28lightning bolts. Shakti uses this power

30:30during her fight with General Grievous

30:32in the Battle of Hipporei, deflecting a

30:34lightsaber strike. However, the

30:36intensity of the blow throws her off

30:38balance, sending her crashing into a

30:40wall.

30:42Forcemeld, also known as the Jedi Meld,

30:45was an ability that drew on the

30:47collective strength or force power of

30:49Jedi. This technique allowed them to

30:51draw strength from each other by joining

30:53their minds together. Though powerful,

30:55it was considered dangerous because

30:56prolonged use of the technique could

30:58destroy the minds of every

31:00force-sensitive participant in the meld.

31:02At certain points, the participants

31:04could begin to share identical thoughts.

31:06The technique could influence the

31:08thoughts of other participants or those

31:10at the center of the meld. If not

31:11handled carefully, and if the

31:13participants thoughts become divided,

31:15the experience could be devastating.

31:18Joris Kabath used this ability more than

31:20five times and became Jana Solo's

31:23inspiration for efficiently employing

31:24the Force Mel. Luke Skywalker and Jason

31:27Solo would later use this technique

31:29along with Maduran as a coordinated

31:31tactic for inter squadron operations.

31:36Battle meditation enabled

31:37force-sensitive individuals to enhance

31:39the efficiency of entire fleets and

31:41their soldiers, allowing them to

31:43function at maximum potential. It also

31:45allowed force users to act as a unified

31:47entity against their enemies,

31:49simultaneously weakening the enemy's

31:51effectiveness. This power served as a

31:53boost for both the force users and their

31:55allies in battle, even against tough

31:57opponents. Collectively, they could make

31:59their soldiers move with greater speed

32:01and coordination, making them more

32:03effective against any attack. Whether

32:05facing a large or small enemy force, the

32:08technique could be applied. Here's a

32:10quote from Jedi Master Odin, one of the

32:12first forces individuals to make this

32:14ability well known. With sufficient

32:17concentration, a Jedi such as you or I

32:19can strengthen the hopes of our allies

32:21and heighten the fears of our enemies.

32:23Thus, what the armies know in their

32:25hearts must become true because they

32:27believe it so strongly. Forcemeld was a

32:30more focused version of battle

32:31meditation as it could only influence

32:33those who were forces sensitive.

32:37Through pyrochinesis, force users could

32:39generate fire from their bare hands.

32:42This force power also allowed them to

32:43manipulate fire at different points in

32:45time. They could generate fire simply by

32:48rubbing air molecules together, which

32:49would eventually produce heat by

32:51friction. Pyrokinesis was not recognized

32:54in any way as belonging to one side of

32:56the force. Both Jedi and Sith could use

32:59the ability at any time they wanted. In

33:01a bid to save her friends and close

33:03allies, Jedi Master Null Venari used

33:06this ability to control and redirect an

33:08explosion. But by doing so, she lost her

33:10life. Another skilled user of this force

33:13power was Galen Merik, who even

33:15developed a massive firestorm to destroy

33:18stormtroopers attacking his allies and

33:20to keep Darth Cidius and Vader

33:22unbalanced. Apart from Force-sensitive

33:24beings from the Jedi and Sith, other

33:26Force traditions could also employ this

33:28ability, such as the Nightsisters of

33:30Datamir.

33:33Memory rub was another telepathic force

33:35power that allowed users to influence,

33:37alter, and even erase the memories of

33:39others. Many force users have employed

33:42this ability at one time or another. For

33:44example, the father erased Anakin

33:46Skywalker's knowledge of his future

33:48transformation into Darth Vader. On

33:50Deoba, Master Yoda considered using this

33:52power on a historian named Arhul

33:54Hexrofen. However, acting on good

33:57conscious, he ultimately chose not to as

33:59it did not reflect the Jedi way.

34:02Instead, Master Yoda had to trust the

34:03historian to keep his location secret.

34:06After the Eujan Vong war, Jason Solo

34:08added this power to his repertoire of

34:10force techniques. He learned it from the

34:12Falinasi, a religious order dedicated to

34:15the light side, or as they commonly

34:17called it, the white current.

34:20Users of the mind probe used this to

34:22gain access to the thoughts and emotions

34:24of their victim. With it, one could get

34:27information on locations, places,

34:29people, and even intentions. Those who

34:32were easily susceptible to this ability

34:33were individuals who were mentally and

34:35emotionally unstable. Finding any info

34:38on their minds was simply like clicking

34:40a button or taking ice cream from a

34:41padawan. Not sure that that's simple,

34:44though. Due to the discomfort and

34:46intrusion that individuals would

34:48experience from this force power, Jedi

34:50were restricted from using it on anyone,

34:53including their opponents. However, Jedi

34:55Master Luke Skywalker on certain

34:57occasions felt compelled to yank out

34:59this ability on some victims. You also

35:01see Darth Vader use this ability in the

35:03duel between himself and his son, the

35:05same Luke Skywalker. And this was how he

35:08found out he had a twin sister. What a

35:10way to find out you have two kids and

35:12one of them's trying to kill you.

35:15Force drain actually wasn't just one

35:17technique, but rather a wide spectrum of

35:19force techniques. However, they were all

35:21rooted in the same core principle to use

35:23the dark side to drain the force energy

35:25away from other living beings. Depending

35:28on the practitioner's mastery, the

35:29ability could vary in scale and

35:31strength, either only targeting a single

35:33victim or other times being able to

35:35drain an entire area. The effect on its

35:38victims also varied. At its peak, it

35:40could either exhaust victims gradually

35:43or annihilate them almost instantly. The

35:45specific force drain ability called

35:47drain life was able to drain the life

35:49essence of a target and transfer it to

35:52the user of the ability and replenish or

35:54heal them. The effect of drain life on

35:56the user was actually rather similar to

35:58the results of force healing. However,

36:00the difference lay therein that the

36:02restoration of their health didn't come

36:04from harmony with the force, but rather

36:06by draining the life energy of someone

36:08else to restore oneself. To do that, the

36:11user had to be in complete unison with

36:13the dark side of the force. Another

36:15branch of force drain was the power

36:17drain force, which didn't directly harm

36:20the body, but rather stripped away an

36:22enemy's connection to the force while

36:24replenishing the wielder's reserves.

36:26Similarly, force diminish allowed a

36:28practitioner to steadily erode an

36:30opponent's physical vitality and mental

36:32fortitude, weakening their victim's body

36:35almost to the point of death. Several

36:37different powerful Sith Lords

36:39demonstrated force drain on various

36:41scales. Darth Malik, for example, during

36:44the climactic duel on the Star Forge,

36:46combined aspects of both life and force

36:48draining techniques. He drew upon the

36:50life and force energy of captive Jedi

36:52taken in the attack on Dantine. feeding

36:55on their essence to replenish his own

36:57energy while dueling Revan. Darth Bane

36:59was able to unleash a deadly spherical

37:01field of pure dark side energy around

37:03himself, which instantly withered the

37:06life of anyone caught within its radius.

37:08However, the technique was so draining

37:10that Bane found it highly impractical to

37:12employ without external aid. Despite its

37:15immense power, force drain was not

37:17without severe risks. reliance upon it

37:20could corrode the very body and spirit

37:21of its wielder with devastating

37:23consequences. A prime example was Darth

37:26Niilus, the most powerful user of the

37:28Force Drain ability. As he was a wound

37:31in the Force, he had a never-ending

37:33appetite for the Force essence of other

37:35beings. His force-feeding ability

37:37allowed him to consume the Force essence

37:38of entire populations, but it also

37:41enslaved him to the hunger itself,

37:43transforming him into little more than a

37:45vessel of hunger that could never stop

37:47feeding. What also makes this ability

37:49unique is that it couldn't really be

37:51taught, but was rather an instinctual

37:53thing that could only be gained by

37:55experiencing the technique firsthand.

37:57That's why it wasn't an ability that's

37:59seen often, as not every dark side user

38:02could simply just learn it. However, for

38:04the users that did master its ability,

38:07it was one of the deadliest force power

38:09in the galaxy.

38:12Force storm was an exceptionally

38:14volatile dark side ability and

38:16considered one of the most powerful

38:18force abilities in existence. There were

38:20two different versions. The first one

38:22allowed the user to generate hyperspace

38:24wormholes to destabilize the very fabric

38:27of time space continuum, tearing open

38:29rifts within the universe itself. The

38:32force storm itself would show itself as

38:34a sort of tornado or wormhole. Once

38:36unleashed, it could both displace ships

38:38and fleets across the galaxy and

38:41devastate a planet's surface in moments.

38:43However, to summon a force storm

38:45required the user to have complete

38:47mastery over the dark side of the force.

38:49The user was required to channel his

38:51entire hatred and anger into the

38:54ability. The difficulty was though that

38:56force storms were notoriously hard to

38:58control. The user could easily lose

39:00control of it should his focus be broken

39:02even momentarily. Losing control of it

39:05would mean that the storm would start to

39:07spiral out of control and start

39:08consuming random things that get into

39:10its path. The reborn Emperor Palpatine

39:13used this ability to conjure up a force

39:15storm to destroy the New Republic fleet

39:17over Pinnacle Moon. However, after Luke

39:20managed to beat him in a duel, he lost

39:22control over the storm and it went on to

39:24destroy the superstar destroyer Eclipse.

39:27As Palpatine got killed by the

39:28Forcetorm, it dissipated. What made the

39:31Forstorm even more special was that it

39:33wasn't just a destructive tool.

39:35Palpatine actually showed that he could

39:37use the Forcetorm to transport living

39:39beings safely across the galaxy and

39:41basically teleport them across the

39:43galaxy in an instant. This ability was

39:45used to transport Luke to as Palpatine

39:48tried to convert him to the dark side.

39:50The remarkable thing was that he was at

39:52Bis and conjured the four storm over

39:54Coruscant which mean that it could be

39:56used from enormous distances. The second

39:59version of the force storm was where the

40:01user would use the force to manipulate

40:02the weather in a pocket of several

40:04kilometers. The force storm would show

40:06itself by having the clouds come

40:08together and having rain soak the earth.

40:11Furthermore, strong winds and lightning

40:13would make it dangerous enough to ground

40:14any ships to the ground. It was most

40:17notably seen in the Star Wars Rebels

40:19season 3 finale where Bendu used a

40:21weather force storm to destroy Thron's

40:23fleet on Adelon before he was shot down.

40:26Notably, he seemed to be able to

40:28redirect the storm's lightning at

40:29specific targets.

40:32Force kill was more of an over term used

40:35for any force technique that was used

40:37with the intention to kill another

40:38being. Force kill was usually used to

40:41telekinetically destroy a victim's

40:42internal organs. For example, by

40:45stopping their heart from beating. Darth

40:47Bane used force kill against his own

40:49father by envisioning a giant hand

40:51crushing his father's heart. His father

40:53died instantly. Dooku apparently used

40:56the ability by stopping some random

40:58black market dealer's heart instantly

41:00and also used a variation of it to slow

41:02General Grievous's heartbeat to keep him

41:03alive as Grievous was close to death

41:06after his shuttle crash that forced him

41:08to keep the transformation into a

41:09cyborg.

41:10But to be honest, I don't think it's the

41:13best described technique there is.

41:16Finally, forest deadly sight, which is

41:18one of the most obscure abilities we've

41:20talked about here. It was rooted in the

41:22dark side and the technique channeled a

41:24practitioner's fury and hatred into

41:26waves of energy which were then

41:28projected outward through nothing more

41:30than the user's gaze. So basically they

41:32just stare down someone and be able to

41:34inflict injury and pain upon them.

41:36Depending on the strength of the users,

41:38their glare could even make their

41:39victim's skin blister and their bodies

41:42began to burn and smoke as they withered

41:44away toward death. Obviously, this

41:46ability was not taught by the Jedi, and

41:48its only mention was in the Star Wars

41:50Jedi Knight video games and wasn't

41:52really used ever since.

41:55Force crush was technically part of the

41:57Force Grip abilities, where the user

41:59would use the Force to grip certain

42:01parts of another being's body. Force

42:03choke, for example, would also be in

42:05this category. Force crush, however, was

42:07considered one of the most violent and

42:09devastating applications of the Force.

42:11It was usually used by lifting an

42:13opponent into the air, suspending them

42:15helplessly, and then compressing their

42:17body with enough pressure that it

42:18imploded inward, crushing bones and

42:20organs. Due to the brutality of the

42:23ability, most Jedi regarded it as being

42:25aligned to the dark side, and its use

42:27against organic beings was forbidden

42:29overall. However, there were still rare

42:32instances where some Jedi used the

42:33ability, as there was some uses for it,

42:36especially against vehicles or droids. I

42:39most vividly remember Obi-Wan using it

42:41against two commando droids after he got

42:43beat up to stall the Ziggarian enforcer

42:45until Anakin could disarm the bombs on

42:47Kaddavo. Luke Skywalker also used it in

42:50the Mandalorian season 2 finale to crush

42:52a dark trooper. Mace Wu used it against

42:54General Grievous right when Grievous was

42:56about to escape Coruscant with the

42:58Chancellor. Wu crushed Grievous's lungs

43:00which left the general seriously wounded

43:03and he forthon kept having his wheezing

43:05cough. Anakin also used it to crush a

43:08Skakoan scientist's armor, leaving him

43:10crippled and most likely dead. Though,

43:13we all know that Anakin was always kind

43:15of on the edge of the dark side, so it's

43:16not quite the same. Among Sith and dark

43:19side users, however, force crush was far

43:22more common. Vader supposedly used it as

43:24a form to execute Imperial officers that

43:26disappointed him. Darth Bane also used

43:29this ability to crush his beaten Sith

43:31opponent Cortis by lifting him into the

43:33air and slowly crushing his body with

43:35the force by simply clenching his fist.

43:38And of course, Galen Merrick also used

43:40it by crushing an AT-ST walker with it,

43:42as he's always here to show you just how

43:44far a force ability can be taken.

43:48Force Maritro was a rather unique force

43:50technique. Its core function was the

43:52ability to slow the biological processes

43:54of oneself or another being, reducing

43:57the body's functions to a near

43:58standstill. With this technique, they

44:00can make another being's body functions

44:02stop working, say like organs and such

44:05and slowly starve them. If it was used

44:07on oneself, Maritro would have the user

44:10enter a trance-like state where a Jedi

44:12would reduce their own body functions to

44:14say recover from an injury or similar.

44:16Through it, they could reduce biological

44:18functions such as breathing and

44:20heartbeat and make users even survive

44:22without food, water, and even without

44:24air. Because of its ability to

44:26potentially kill people, Maritro was

44:28forbidden by the Jedi. However, there

44:30were exceptions. As always, Master

44:33Yattle had rediscovered the ability

44:35after it was forgotten for a long time

44:37and mastered it over time.

44:39Force Fear was a dark side force power

44:42often considered a corrupted and

44:44stronger version of the Jedi mind trick.

44:46The ability worked by delving into the

44:48deepest recesses of a target's mind,

44:50amplifying their most primal terrors.

44:53Victims would be struck with an

44:54uncontrollable, shaking fear that

44:56crippled their ability to think or act

44:58in any way. The effects of this power

45:00varied depending on the individual

45:02targeted. In some cases, it completely

45:04stripped away courage, leaving the

45:06victim cowering defensively. In others,

45:09it provoked an overwhelming urge to

45:11outright flee from the wielder. Due to

45:13that, it was considered a dark side

45:15ability, especially since fear itself is

45:17a central emotion that leads to the dark

45:19side. There were also two even more

45:22advanced versions of force fear. These

45:24being force horror and force insanity.

45:26Force horror could affect multiple

45:28people at the same time, and the people

45:30it affected would enter a state of

45:32absolute panic, suffering a far stronger

45:34effect than from force fear alone. Force

45:37insanity was the most devastating

45:39manifestation of the Force fear powers.

45:41As the name suggests, targets of Force

45:43Insanity would descend into a state of

45:45frenzy, deranged mania, and hysteria as

45:48their minds buckled under the impression

45:49that their situation seemed absolutely

45:51hopeless. Darth Xanna was extremely

45:54well-versed in this ability and combined

45:56it with Sith alchemy to make it

45:58effective against even the strongest

45:59force users like Darth Bane. She used

46:02force fear on a chisw woman, for

46:04example, and brought her so insane that

46:06she tore her own eyes out with her

46:08fingers. Although the ability was

46:10forbidden by the Jedi, there were some

46:12that would use this ability in rare

46:14cases to diffuse certain situations. Say

46:17an aggressive individual was about to

46:19attack and they'd used force fear on

46:21them. They'd be immobilized long enough

46:22to diffuse it. However, it was frowned

46:25upon by Jedi as usually a simple mind

46:27trick would have worked just as well

46:29without having to make their victims

46:31tremble in terror.

46:34Mind domination, also referred to as

46:36control mind, was a dark side power

46:38often described as the direct

46:40counterpart to the Jedi mind trick.

46:42However, unlike the relatively subtle

46:45persuasion of the mind trick, which

46:46implanted suggestions or nudged

46:48decisions, mind domination was far more

46:51invasive. This ability allowed the

46:53practitioner to seize complete control

46:55over the thoughts and actions of their

46:57target, stripping the victim of their

46:58autonomy entirely. Due to that, it was

47:01forbidden by the Jedi and considered a

47:03dark side ability. The level of control

47:06over the other individual's mind

47:07depended on the user's skill and

47:09strength in the Force. At higher levels

47:11of mastery, a single practitioner could

47:14dominate the minds of multiple

47:15individuals at once, bending entire

47:18groups to his will. Emperor Vishet was

47:21very well known for his ability to

47:22completely dominate the minds of his

47:24subordinates, even being able to break

47:26the minds of extremely powerful beings

47:28like Revan and Malik, while also having

47:30full control over his Imperial guards.
