0:00Hi everyone and welcome back to the Five
0:02Minute English Podcast. I'm Jessica and
0:05I'm so happy you're here with me today.
0:08Let me ask you something. How do you
0:10feel when someone says, "Tell me about
0:12yourself." Do you feel excited or maybe
0:15a little nervous? Many people find this
0:18question difficult, especially when
0:20speaking in English. But don't worry,
0:23today I'll show you that it can be easy
0:25and natural to talk about yourself.
0:28So, let me go first. My name is Jessica.
0:32I'm 26 years old and I'm from Australia.
0:36I grew up in a small coastal town near
0:39the beach, so I've always loved the
0:41ocean.
0:42These days, I live in London where I
0:44work as an English teacher and podcast
0:47host.
0:48I really enjoy helping people around the
0:50world learn English and feel more
0:52confident when they speak.
0:55Teaching is my passion because I get to
0:57meet people from so many countries and
1:00learn about different cultures every
1:02day.
1:03In my free time, I love reading,
1:07especially novels and travel stories.
1:10Reading helps me relax and gives me new
1:12ideas for my lessons and podcasts.
1:16I also enjoy going for walks in the
1:18park.
1:19London has so many beautiful green
1:21spaces and walking helps me clear my
1:24mind after a busy day. On weekends, I
1:27like meeting friends for coffee or
1:29visiting art galleries. I've always
1:32loved art because it helps me see the
1:34world in a creative way. If I had to
1:37describe myself, I'd say I'm friendly,
1:39curious, and positive.
1:42I try to find something good in every
1:44situation, even when things are
1:47difficult.
1:48I really believe that learning something
1:50new like a language can change your
1:54life. It's not only about grammar or
1:57vocabulary. It's also about connecting
2:00with people and seeing the world from a
2:02new perspective.
2:04So that's a little bit about me. Now I'd
2:07love to hear about you.
2:09What's your name? Where are you from?
2:13What do you like doing in your free
2:15time?
2:16Try saying it out loud. Speaking out
2:19loud helps you feel more confident and
2:21it's one of the best ways to practice
2:23English every day.
2:26Thank you so much for listening to
2:28today's episode of the 5inut English
2:30podcast.
2:32If you enjoyed it, don't forget to
2:34follow and share this podcast with your
2:36friends. And remember, every time you
2:40talk about yourself, you're not just
2:41practicing English, you're also learning
2:44to express who you are. Until next time,
2:48keep speaking, keep smiling, and keep
2:52learning. Bye for now.
