3:49men have kind of grown grown in disgust

4:50feel like I had to get that out there
4:53because I saw a post on Twitter that was
4:55like, "You want your girl to be [ __ ]
4:58maxing." I'm like, "No, no, you don't.
5:00You want your girl to be slightly
5:02neurotic. You want her to be annoying.
5:05That means she loves you." Seriously, if
5:06your wife is not worried about your
5:08health, I got some bad news for you,
5:10bro. like she's waiting for you to die.
5:13Uh if she's not worried about your
5:14health, she doesn't love you. If she's
5:17not wor like if she's not thinking about
5:19she don't love you, man. So there you
5:21go, man. You know this. I always get
5:24annoyed when I hear guys say, "Oh man,
5:26she's too clingy." Dude, you want a cly
5:28girl. Be honest. You at the end of the
5:31day when it's the end of the day, you
5:33want your girl to be clinging on to you.

5:44like obsessed with you. What guy doesn't

6:12it's almost Christmas time. And you know
6:15what's crazy is when I was in Costa
6:18Rica, people had up these Christmas
6:20trees and these Christmas ornaments, but
6:22it was almost like witnessing
6:25someone have Christmas, celebrate
6:27Christmas in Jurassic Park
6:31because it's so different. And in my
6:33mind, it just dawned on me like, man,
6:36these people have a complete different
6:39aesthetic
6:41to what they feel and their nostalgia
6:44towards Christmas than I do. You know,
6:46the Christmas for well, I grew up in
6:47Florida, so there wasn't a lot of snow.
6:49There was zero snow,
6:52but there was a cold. There was It's
6:54cold. The malls. [snorts]
6:57The malls, dude. Holy [ __ ] Christmas is
7:00never the same.
7:02When you got rid of the mall, the mall
7:05was in a lot of Christmas movies.
7:08Home Alone 2, Big Mall, I think. Wasn't
7:11there a big mall? There was a mall in
7:15the Christmas decorations, people
7:17shopping. There's a skating rink that's
7:18in all these Christmas movies
7:25right by the mall.
7:28But now we've evolved. We progress into
7:32Amazon. Dude, I haven't been to the mall
7:35in years.
7:36So my nostalgia remembering Christmas,
7:40looking back, man. Holy smokes.
7:44How things have changed. Now it's like
7:46you hope it snows. You hope it snows.
7:50But the mall was such an inter just just
7:54just
7:55it needed to be. It is a part of
7:58Christmas. You go to the mall, you see
8:01all the the people, they're drinking
8:03their their I don't know, chocolate,
8:05they're walking around, they're buying
8:06gifts, they're with their friends and
8:08family, there's reindeer, there's the
8:09Santa in the middle of the mall, you
8:11know, you're always watching them.
8:12You're like, is this guy a pervert? You
8:13know, I always thought I don't know why
8:14it's like, why is this guy just Why are
8:16these guys dressing up as Santa? These
8:18old dudes. So, you're kind of keeping
8:20tabs on them. But that was part of
8:23Christmas. That was what gave you this
8:26feeling of Christmas. And now you just
8:29order your [ __ ] off Amazon. You just
8:32click a few buttons, stay at home. It's
8:36almost it it starts to describe this
8:40sickness that we have. This departure
8:43from what is human. And I really think
8:45that nostalgia, I've talked about it
8:47before, can be used as a poisoning. I I
8:51think companies especially can make you
8:54yearn, you know, yearn for the past.
8:59But what nostalgia is,
9:02I think it's a good thing when it's the
9:05feeling of what is human. Nostalgia is a
9:09feeling of home. That's what it is. It's
9:11a feeling of what is home, homeiness,
9:16bonomy. [snorts]
9:19And so that feeling as we look back to
9:23what was human, well, we we often have a
9:25lot of nostalgia because where we're
9:27going, this fate that we're going down,
9:30this river, this this reality that we're
9:34in is leading us further and further
9:37from something that is human. I stay at
9:39home. I am an individual. I don't have
9:41to go to the mall to buy gifts. I simply
9:43press a few buttons, if I even want to
9:45buy gifts at all, and now they're
9:47delivered to my door. I just get them. I
9:50go inside like a little hermit crab and
9:52there's the gifts. There's the Christmas
9:54spirit. Feliz Navidid.
9:58Something happened and it's very
10:00interesting to really
10:03get into a little bit. You know, you get
10:05into it. I think that the world we're
10:08living in the Mayans, didn't the Mayans
10:11predict like 2012 was going to be the
10:14end of the world?
10:22I think that may be a conspiracy, but I
10:24know that the calendar, you know, 2012,
10:27December, what is it? December 21st,
10:302012
10:32is doomsday. Everything's going to
10:34change. The world's going to end. Now, I
10:35think it was just the shift of a new
10:37calendar in reality. But what I really
10:40think was that it was a prediction, man.
10:44It wasn't a prediction that it wasn't a
10:46date that the world was going to end. It
10:48was a prediction that everything was
10:51going to shift forever.
10:55That's what it was.
10:59If you really look back, and I'm I'm
11:02kind of struggling with this, man. I'm
11:03like really feeling this. And I think
11:06Costa Rica did this to me. I went to
11:08Costa Rica and what it did was like
11:13Costa Rica. Is it a third world country?
11:15I don't know. I think some some Tikico
11:17from Costa Rica said, "Yeah, that's a
11:18third world country, man." But it was a
11:20beautiful country. Pure vita. I love it.
11:23It was great. A lot of cool people, but
11:25it's it's different.
11:27The beast, the machine is not fully
11:32integrated into Costa Rica. There's a
11:34lot of tourism. That's how they make a
11:36lot of money from tourists. They they
11:39make their money from
11:42just just providing a relief for the
11:46people that are inundated by this
11:48machine in Europe, in America, wherever
11:52you are.
11:54They provide enjoyment, escape from the
11:57beast that and their own beast is be
12:00beginning to form.
12:02But there's a lot of mountains, a lot of
12:04hills, a lot of just people living in
12:06sheds, communities, you know, it's hard
12:09to be an individual there. And I was
12:11thinking, I was like, man, this imagine
12:13being an individual here. There's no way
12:16this guy looks himself because he's not.
12:18He's not. He's part of a family. He's
12:20got, you know, that guy's going
12:21attending his farm. That guy's milking
12:23the cows. This guy's cleaning up the
12:25barn. Something, man. You're not just an
12:26individual in a place like this. So,
12:29Costa Rica to me showed me America and
12:33how much of this beast that we've become
12:39and it made me just this stark contrast
12:41between places. Now, Costa Rica, as
12:44beautiful as it is,
12:50is very parts of it are very far behind.
12:53I mean, you go up these hills, there's
12:56these shacks that people are living in.
12:58one strong wind, wham, just comes on and
13:02boom. Imagine waking up and you're
13:04rolling down a hill in your shack. It's
13:07crazy. It's It's so far behind. I would
13:11I mean is it like like early 20th
13:14century
13:16and then the contrast America is all the
13:19way up here in like super advanced tech
13:24skyrises gl these glass tech buildings
13:27being built everywhere. I just went to
13:29Nashville with the boys in the highumos
13:31group and you just see this city
13:33Nashville like all of these new
13:35building. It looks like pristine
13:37pristine but it lacks a soul. It's like
13:40that country soul, that country culture.
13:43It's like, man, I thought I was going to
13:44see like pictures of Bob Dylan
13:45everywhere. And um Bob Dylan ain't even
13:49really country. I don't know why I'm
13:50saying Bob Dylan, but I thought I would
13:52see some real, you know, some country
13:53superstars and just feel like, yeah,
13:56yeah, this is country. I need a horse
13:58out here. This, you know, I want to like
14:00put on a cowboy hat out here. But I
14:02didn't really feel that. It really just
14:04felt like a nice city with a bunch of
14:06new construction and like money and nice
14:10roads and not not too many homeless
14:12random homeless here and there just
14:13popping up. But
14:15yeah, I didn't feel that that that that
14:18southern that's what I was looking for.
14:19I was looking for that in Nashville. I
14:21didn't feel it. The southern there was
14:22the country bars and stuff, but it was
14:25different. And so, let me relight this.
14:31the Nashville soul was just kind of
14:33evaporated in place of this progress
14:38and this this progress.
14:42My god.
14:46And then you see this contrast and it's
14:50almost like the world was perfect.
14:54The world looking back the the nostalgia
14:57for the 90s. I'm 91. I'm 91. The world
15:00was almost perfect, man. I mean, really,
15:03you you get you go back and it was
15:06perfect. And I'm sure people have
15:08nostalgia for the 70s and the 80. I
15:11mean, maybe 80s was like real peak and
15:14then 90s slowly declined, but 2000s, you
15:17know, 2001, oh, good lord, [ __ ] really
15:21hits the fan.
15:232012, a shift occurs. This was really at
15:28the time in humanity in our story that
15:33technology got to a point where on the J
15:35curve it just blasted off freaking full
15:38throttle rocket thrusters going to the
15:40moon. I mean we had it so good. Okay, we
15:46you can go look at just like
15:49the games that we had. The games were
15:51more human. The the the experience was
15:54more human. It felt like home, man. The
15:58cars were more like cars. They were more
16:02real. Gasoline, feeling it. Cool little
16:05knobs and bells and whistles, man. You
16:07know, and I was I was I just saw some of
16:09the cars my dad had and the cars on the
16:11road like those one cars with the little
16:13the little things that like they blink
16:14up and down like this, you know, the
16:16headlights they go back in.
16:20What a time. I mean, everything had this
16:23like ephemeral sort of like we're on the
16:27brink. We're on the brink of just
16:29amazing. We had it all. We had it all.
16:31We had we had humanity being introduced
16:34to technology and dipping our dirty
16:37little fingers in it and having a good
16:38ass time. You were on the webs, the the
16:42web boom. You were going on Newgrounds
16:44just to see some titties. You were
16:46staying up late watching cable TV, girls
16:48going wild. They weren't even showing
16:49titties, but you know, your imagination
16:52could really help you. And it was just
16:55you had just enough. It was like
16:56Prometheus came down. He stole fire from
16:59the gods and he said, "Here, take it."
17:01And he gave you a little bit and he you
17:03took it and you played with it. And then
17:062012 comes, you got burned. We got real
17:09bad burn because [ __ ] just took off. I
17:14mean just in instead of just taking a
17:17little bit of fire, hell rained down on
17:19humanity
17:21and totally just flooded us. The flood
17:24wasn't a water. It was of technological
17:27hellfire, man. Technological hellfire.
17:30And we find ourselves these days
17:32building this this this
17:35technological tower of babel. that we
17:38are going down this path feeding this
17:42beast being these individuals ordering
17:45from Amazon. We we don't go to the
17:47malls. We just order from Amazon. We are
17:49individuals in our little cages. These
17:51economic
17:53actors
17:54just we're we're upholding the whole
17:57thing on our backs. Like
18:00[clears throat]

18:02it reminds me of, you know, people are
18:04like, "Man, you got to dream. You got to
18:06dream." And everyone wants to dream. And
18:08then I think in the Matrix when Neo is
18:12first waking up from those from his
18:15little battery, remember when he's
18:16submerged in the fluid and he's looks
18:18all around him and there's all these
18:19people in the fugue. I think you call it
18:23fugue. They're sleeping. And I think
18:27dreams, dreams. Aha. It's good to dream.
18:30You got to dream.
18:32But do you dream in a fugue state? And
18:34maybe you do. Maybe you dream as you're
18:37plugged into that battery, taking your
18:38little your little eternal bath, feeding
18:41the machine, feeding the battery. You
18:43still dream in there. And the dreams now
18:46serve this this tower, this sign, this
18:50radio tower machine, this battery that
18:53that is now pulling you like a
18:56puppeteer, like a little marionette
18:58that's pulling you and shaping your
19:00dreams. Do you dream in fugue?

19:16I said we were born. I was born and
19:19there was a Walmart down the street.
19:21Now, I didn't ask for that [ __ ] I much
19:22rather there be a beautiful chapel. I

19:28being built in the corners of the earth
19:31that I had no idea about. All of a
19:33sudden, boom, couple years ago, AI just
19:35showed up. Now, everyone's using chat
19:37GBT. I call it Jeepit.
19:41Jeepit the little idiot. I mean, dude, I
19:44don't want to use this thing. I don't
19:46want to use these things. Do I have to
19:48use these things? No. Do I have to
19:50further them, prop them up? So, no. But
19:52if you don't, you feel you feel like you
19:57feel a dissonance because everyone else
19:59seems to be partaking in it. They
20:01they're they're doing it. They're
20:02getting real motivated. They're they're
20:05but at the end of the day, what are you
20:07working for? What are you doing all
20:09these things for? Where are you going,
20:12man? You know, I saw this post on
20:14Twitter and this guy's like, should I
20:16just watch heroic movies for two weeks
20:19and just absolutely brainwash myself to
20:22have that heroic identity, that heroic
20:24complex inside of my brain? Last time I
20:26did, it helped so much.
20:31And I looked at this and my response was
20:35the problem with watching the movies and
20:38the problem with trying to derive the
20:41meaning from the modern stories is that
20:45all of these heroes and these men have a
20:50war that they can fight. A war worth
20:53fighting for. Man,
20:55our war is a spiritual war. Our war that
20:59we face is is whether or not our souls
21:02are going to get crushed. You know what
21:04I mean? Like that's the war. That's the
21:07reality. I mean, our fight, dude. A lot
21:09of people's fight is like clock in. Get
21:12up enough muster the juice to go to work
21:15and clock in. Get a girl. Ha. You know,
21:19man, I mean, that's everyone's fight.
21:20Just having get your mushroom tip wet.
21:22Like, find a girl. uh uh make it just ma
21:27I want to you know the fight is to make
21:29it in this life I gotta make it I gotta
21:32get this and get that and get an
21:33apartment and and money and that's the
21:35fight that's the fight and you will win
21:38you know you will win you have small
21:39wins and there maybe gigantic huge wins
21:42gigantic wins
21:45but
21:47eventually
21:49you got to ask the question
21:52not even of your own willingness.
21:55Sometimes it just hits you and often
21:58times it annihilates you is what am I
22:02fighting for?
22:04What am I fighting for?
22:06And no movies
22:09can give you that because those people
22:12have their war. They have their enemies.
22:14They have their good verse evil. Yours
22:17is much different. what you are fighting
22:20for is something that you were not
22:22prepared
22:24or or not what should I say how should I
22:27say this
22:30it's it's just tough man it takes a
22:34heroic
22:36effort takes a heroic mindset to even
22:40see reality for what it is to see this
22:42beast in the machine this this progress
22:46just that that pulls apart us our
22:48culture. It pulls apart people. It It
22:51Everything's seen. Everything is out
22:53there. Everything is just There's just
22:55so much. And you're not you're not like
23:00It's hard. It's hard to find meaning in
23:03all of that.
23:05And my answer to that is you got to
23:08return, Max, because only the eyes of a
23:11child can find joy in all of this. You
23:14got to return to Eden. You got to you
23:16got to metaphorically and physically
23:18create a garden in your life. Maybe
23:20return to the earth more, maybe a more,
23:23you know, nostalgia for home, nostalgia
23:25for more that is human. That is always
23:28going to be important. And I think the
23:30the more that we willingly
23:34give up these things for security, for
23:37progress, for certainty, man, we are
23:41going to have hell to pay.
23:45I mean, dude, like, dude, this [ __ ] goes
23:48deep, man. Really think I mean, look at
23:51the new COD. Call of Duty Black Ops 7.
23:53What in the hell, man? Just create like
23:56create something new. You could do it.
23:58It'll be It'll be revolutionary,
24:01right? Call of Duty Black Ops 7. Don't
24:04even create new. Stick to the formula,
24:06but at least like give the people
24:10humanity. We don't want AI
24:14drug induced warfare
24:18transsexual.
24:21Oh my god. What the hell? But here's the
24:23thing. Every year Call of Duty is
24:26released.
24:28Money, money, money. Look at how
24:30politics works. Every year we vote for a
24:34new president. Every year, every four
24:37years. Every this cycle. This cycle.
24:40Look at where we're at, man. America is
24:42is is if you look at Call of Duty in
24:45America, it's there's a lot of
24:46similarities. It's very interesting.

24:52what I'm saying is like politics, these
24:55people that get so worked up with
24:57politics. We have all these talking

25:02guys really, you know, he gets them. Oh,
25:05and and really what he's saying is
25:06America
25:08does not need to be so concerned and in
25:12have their hands in Israel.
25:19That's all nice and all. The fact of the
25:21matter is that you still got to clock in
25:24tomorrow. The fact of the matter is that
25:27you still have a Walmart, a Burger King,
25:29and a McDonald's at every corner. And it
25:32doesn't matter who gets elected.
25:34If we get more progress, you just get
25:36more Starbucks cafes, more Chipotles.
25:39If things go really well for America,
25:41you're just going to get more of this
25:42[ __ ] man. And so all these talking
25:45heads that you see and that you get
25:47attached to and they get your emotions
25:49all riled up. You are literally just
25:52like listening to the PR agent of the
25:54Call of Duty series like telling you,
25:57"Oh, no, you should be on this faction.
25:59you should play this or you should, you
26:00know, it's all [ __ ] man. It's like
26:03it's total scop to worry about the wrong
26:06thing.
26:07Nothing's going to change until you make
26:10it change, man.
26:12All [snorts] this politic nonsense, it
26:14really it doesn't matter because the
26:16life that you're going towards and
26:18you're working towards, your dreams in
26:20that fugue state have been most likely
26:23corrupted, man. Most likely corrupted.
26:26That's why I say that it's a war on your
26:28soul because
26:32you ever feel lazy? You ever feel lazy
26:35or procrastinate? We've been told our
26:37whole life that that is a bad thing.
26:40You're lazy. You're bad. You're never
26:42going to make anything of yourself. You
26:44procrastinate too much. You're never
26:46going to make anything of yourself.
26:48The idiot. The absolute idiot.
26:53The procrastination. The laziness
26:57is the soul's last resource,
27:02the last weapon,
27:05the last resort
27:08to keep you from doing things that may
27:11ultimately enslave you. That is that's
27:15what laziness is, dude. When when things
27:18are like natural, when you like in order
27:22to live, you'll just do things out of
27:23necessity, right? there. You don't get
27:25the pleasure of the laziness cuz it's
27:28not a pleasure. It's a damn weapon. It's
27:30a soul's last resort.
27:32But all these things like and these
27:35purveyors of hard work, the Gogggins,
27:39the scientific, the Jaco Wilnick, good
27:44just good, dude.
27:48There's so many talking heads to uphold
27:51the image of the beast.
27:54Oh, how good everything is, how amazing
27:57everything is. Don't focus on the
27:59reality that, you know, life is getting
28:01really on the outside, man. You ain't
28:04headed down a great path.
28:06But remember, work hard. Work hard. Get,
28:09you know, get the security, get enough
28:10money. Get Okay, then what, man? Then
28:14what? I'm not saying you shouldn't work
28:16hard. I'm not saying you shouldn't get
28:17the money. You should. You should start
28:19planning your escape from this damn
28:21concentration camp. return to eating.

28:27that you can gain the world but lose
28:29your soul and the world will not care
28:32because you are feeding that machine and
28:34all of your dreams, all of your ambition
28:37and all of the the things that you come
28:39to know may be in fact
28:43may be in fact dictated by this machine
28:47by this algorithmic
28:49beast.
28:52How much are you really in control of
28:54your fate? Or have really you've been
28:58thought corrupted by progress?

29:14you know, don't feel shame, man. When
29:15you feel laz, there's a reason. Maybe
29:17you don't need to be doing all this

30:43And then you actually clutch it up and
30:46then you can hear their shitty mics.

32:01But and then you get to what we have
32:04now. Dude, I just watched um Spider-Man
32:07No Way Home.
32:12I don't know, man. I got to save this
32:13for another video, but that was so
32:15disappointing. Like, there was some cool
32:16moments, but like the CGI, like he they
32:20don't even try, man. Like, is he even
32:21wearing a costume or is it just CGI? It
32:23just looks so bad. There's zero weight
32:26to his swings. There's zero like
32:28adrenaline. It's not because he's seen
32:30it before. It's just like it lacks
32:33heart, man. It's It's too lazy. It's
32:36just about pumping out another
32:37Spider-Man. Get the bucks. Get the
32:39bucks. Where is the bells and whistles,
32:41man? Where's the the grime? Where's the
32:44the the blood? You know, like like
32:46where's the
32:49where's the spirit?
32:51And it's just it's shown it throughout
32:53the progression of the trilogy.
32:55Everything that progresses is getting
